i was literally about to go to bed but then i randomly remembered that almost everybody who calls caleb "cal" aside from his mom seems like they do so in this disarming way to try and make him feel like they're more familiar than they really are and now i am wide awake

#❝ i’m an underachiever ❞ —— ooc #❝ big data compiles information on everybody ❞ —— meta #like...maybe aside from francis too?#but the only time we ever hear the real francis say it is when he's trying to convince caleb he's totally not about to murder him #'he's playing us cal'#everybody else tho-- the therapist; the francis therapy callbot; dr. greene; estefan?? all call him cal as a way to get him to comply #so maybe that was another tip off for him that francis was never gonna refuse the assassination #the only other person i can think of who calls him cal like out of genuine familiarity is ash and she's good
