This got me thinking.
Billy Loomis, Stu Macher/William Afton, and Bo Sinclair as they grew older, at some point they need someone from their own flesh and blood to continue their legacy, right?
So yeah those three gonna build one big happy family with reader, and their kids gonna be a bunch of satan's spawn but only being lovely to their own mom/dad/guardian.
And ofc in this case, those three lovely slashers ain't dead in these scenario.
Billy Loomis
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As we all know, Samantha Carpenter is the infamous daughter of Billy Loomis. But what if Billy Loomis actually have another kid from the reader? I'm gonna assume this guy gonna be his son.
(My pov) His son definitely will hunt and kill the Ghostface, who dare to be like his dad. In his mind, he was like 'my dad and his friend are the only Ghostface, no one's gotta be like him. And it will stay that way'. So to ease his bloodlust, instead of killing innocents, why not just kill these Ghostface rookies. It's like they're asking for it, didn't they?
Not surprised to see he loves horror movies, maybe get inspiration from crime documentaries. High chance he is the mastermind and have many ways to lure those new Ghostface to him. Tempting to torture them like John Kramer did to his victims.
Oh and if his dad has mommy issue, bro got a whole daddy issues coming in. Like father, like son
Cast (Son): Benjamin Wadsworth
Born: 1997
Stu Macher/William Afton
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Stu Macher had a kid, ya bet his children gonna be a goofball like him? Wrong. In fact (from my pov), his son gonna double up from Stu's inner psychotic tendency in him. More aggressive, more violent and more unhinged. His son knew to embrace madness.
If Stu Macher become a killer because of peer pressure, this kid just pure psycho. Instead of being a friendly social butterfly or party king like his dad, he's the appitome of school's bad boy type of thing. It's either being mean or meanest.
Don't let me start on him becoming Micheal Afton.
If he gets proper love from his mom/guardian, he gonna be a big softie and overprotective (possessive) to his love ones. Gonna be hella toxic. He can be good, only with his mom/guardian, but to someone else? Rarely occasion.
Cast (Son): Drew Starkey
Born: 1996
Bo Sinclair
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok first of all we all know, BO SINCLAIR IS A BEAST IN BED (rip reader's cunt/rim hole) and when he knew reader is pregnant, he was worried he might not be a good father figure to his kid until their first child born. Things change. Seeing his son's big blue eyes, like him, stir something in him. The Sinclair Jr made him soft. So ofc, Bo becomes bold and wants another child cuz he doesn't want his son to be lonely.
It's to be expected. To be apart of the Sinclair, they would eventually have twins sooner or later. Thank god both their son's head still intact in one piece. On the other hand, his three sons grew handsomely and receive motherly love from the reader.
The eldest, have a nasty tempered like his dad. You got on his way, he'll beat the shit out of you. He only be really nice to someone he care most, like his mama dearest. Always goes to church with his dad to see his grandma and help him in the garage.
The twins - The first twin (middle child) definitely got the charm from his dad. Knows how to be a sweetheart to ladies, but can be deadly once he hunt them for his uncle's sculpture. Most likely helping Vincent to build the museum. Might as well make an art museum next door too.
The second gonna be a rebellion, daredevil (youngest child) Well, not like strapping him to the chair. No no, mama won't like that. He loves adventure so definitely follow uncle Lester from town to town. He likes hunting, depends whether the prey will be animals or people. He can be nice. Charming too. Gonna be good friends with Stu's son, probably.
Cast (Sons): Eldest - Bill Skarsgård, Middle - Harris Dickinson, Youngest - Rudeth Pankow
Born: Eldest - 1994, Twins - 1996
Yep, one big chaotic, happy family indeed.

The Smile horror movie,it's just so real,the helplessness,the despair of the Protagonist,how nearly no one is helping her and in the end, she died because of it,she died because her loved ones decided to abandon her at her worst time
It's one of the best movies I watched this year. I love how it talks and presents how trauma is an infectious curse,how you can hardly escape it and eventually you'll be consumed by it if you're not strong enough
It's also important to note how badly society treats people with mental issues/illnesses. Truly it's disgusting,the Protag's sister who should have been there for her, literally made her into the wrong one when she clearly stated she has problems, I remember she even complained about how the Protag kept bringing up her old trauma even though keep burying it and ignoring it never really help it and it was an obvious call for help, but no her sister can't help but be bitchy about, basically told her to stop acting like a child and grow up, her sister got a happy family life already, why care about a crazy sister right? She never did care about the Protag before anyway
The sister doesn't even try to help or anything, she just keeps excusing herself by acting she went through problems but god helps us when her sister who also has problems say anything about it
The Protag's fiancé couldn't be any more useless and terrible than he was. He also acted like the Protag was the wrong one here and since she appears to be mentally unstable, he showed his true colours by saying he already knew about her mental health history, he had to know since he needed to know what he's getting into, basically saying: "If you're a crazy bitch,that would affect my benefits",I mean who would want a crazy wife right? Fucking asshole
Sure he knows she had problems,but he decided to ignore it too cuz "we don't talk about these things". Yeah and look where that got us,an insanity virus that will keep spreading and spreading
This movie is the best at showing us how Society hates people with "flaws", it hits home how even when you have issues, your "loved ones" would insult you and make you the "problem", calling you a "whiny bitch" for it, it's an actual thing and people really need to get their shits together on it or else, no one would ever really feel safe about revealing their problems or sharing their feelings on things
This is why victims keep their mouths shut, because no one ever wants to listen
I know that feeling, I went through that before, that's why I never even talked about what I like with my own family, they'll just insult those things like they always do, saying how "I do dumb things" and "watch dumb things". No wonder why I'm so introverted
I’m sorry your family treated you that way, I hope they learn to apologize to you for it omg
As for the smile film, I know from fans of it that it definitely had a very tragic and sad message, many of them wishing the ending had been happier even tho it was “necessary” for the theme of it 😭😭
Also her “friends” and “family” annoyed the hell out of me and I felt bad for that guy she also bothered that had survived because she doomed him too 😭😭
I’m honestly annoyed at how the ending was like Oh No! the cop bf is infected now because like….he can literally shoot anyone on a crime scene that saw what he sees and he wouldn’t particularly be punished for it omg But then again, he’s not the smartest of the bunch so he probs wouldn’t be able to figure it out and they can’t show that in the film because of censorship and copaganda 😐
Other than those inconsistencies, Smile is definitely a noteworthy film 😭😭

The lack of nuance from folks who are currently in college and claiming to ‘not be like you YA loving tumblerinas uwu’ just reminds me of the kind of pedantic and condescending piece of shit that I used to be once I left my small, rural town, learned to have a smidge of nuance, and acted like I was hot shit just because I read dry ass papers on film criticism😂
Like, we get it y’all! Y’all are finally thinking outside of all the preconceived notions that were pushed onto you and enforced by your family, friends, teachers, and other community members. You’re finally realizing that there are millions of other people who exist outside of you and who have had plenty of different experiences that you’ve never had.
Trust me, I get it. But like…the fact that y’all are still coming to tumblr to spout the same condescending bullshit that I used to 4 or 5 years ago, just because you’re in college and are being exposed to new ideas, should be a clear indication that you’re still on here like the rest of us and there’s really nothing that separates you from the very ‘tumblerinas’ you’ve shown distaste for 😂
Like homie…you complaining ON TUMBLR makes you a tumblrina, as well lol You’re still choosing to run a blog on this site and no amount of ‘academics’ in your life is gonna somehow make your ideas or ‘hot takes’ more or less ‘valid’ than someone else’s. Everything is contextual and not every bit of college fueled academics and ideas are gonna apply to various scenarios where those institutions are not relevant.
Remember that before y’all go off on how everyone else is privileged for not understanding how ‘deep’ some academic jargon is when your ass clearly had the privilege to be able to even pursue higher education. And don’t come at me with no bullshit over this post either because I did my 4 years for a bachelors degree, with my own baggage of student debt AND I grew up in a working class family, almost on the edge of serious poverty for most of my life.
Don’t think that I don’t know about either situation when both have played a pivotal role in my life: going to college gave me the tools to think and research for myself but going back to my working class home town taught me that all of that knowledge means nothing if I can’t recognize how lucky I had been to be able to pursue higher education and learn how to show compassion and respect towards other folks who didn’t go down that path, for various reasons.
All I’m saying is that just because you’re an ‘academic’ right now doesn’t suddenly make your ways of thinking more ‘superior’ than anyone else. Even if you’re getting into more ‘leftist’ academics, you still need to recognize that folks who are not currently going and/or have never been to college can be equally as smart as you and probably have a better time showing genuine compassion and support for the people in their communities because of their proximity to home. Don’t forget that before you start getting on your high horse thinking your absolved from any sort of criticism because you assume someone else who’s not in your shoes doesn’t have the ability to call you on your shit.

Horror Villain Headcanons
Topic: This is an extension of the last Jason Oneshot ^^ The rest of the horror movie villains react to their S/O telling them someone at work asked them out and she thought about saying yes.
Warnings: Seriously bad language in some reactions. Like, disgusting. Also some M rated suggestions
Notes:
I’m feeling like Jason took it extremely well for a Slasher… aha
I’m so sad that our boys Buckman, Drayton and Hoyt don't have gifs!!
~~~
Billy Loomis:
Tumblr media
·         Well, Billy’s a bit of a hot head… or a lot.
·         The guy who asked you out will probably be dead. Most likely.
·         And you’ll get the cold shoulder for an hour or two, because man. He’s hurt, that you would consider leaving him for some better life. You’re just like his mother, and this asshole who asked you out is just like Maureen Prescott. In his head, this just legitimises his murderous actions even more and makes him even worse.
·         In this scenario, keeping it to yourself would have probably bene better.
·         Eventually though, the fog will lift and he’ll remember that he needs you. He’ll come over and wrap his arm around you, nuzzling your face, and threaten you that if you ever do anything like that to him again, or even look in the direction of another man they will be cut down and he will make you watch.
·         Boy’s a little bit yandere.
Bubba Sawyer:
Tumblr media
·         Bubba’s mind flies right over the part where another guy asked you out and sticks to the part here you thought about saying yes. He doesn’t care about this other guy, he doesn’t know him. He cares about his people, and you are his person. He wonders, why would you do that? Why aren’t you totally happy with him and his brothers and grandpa?
·         His eyes will get watery, and he’ll just watch you and listen to you holding onto every word that comes out of your mouth until you’re done. Imagine that, for a moment. Telling Bubba, with his big, teary brown eyes (I’m assuming their brown, I can’t tell) that another man asked you on a date and you nearly said yes and left him. Imagine that, and tell me, could you do it???
·         Hell no. With his little fidgeting, and his fat bottom lip sticking out, and his whines? No! No! No, no, no, no!
·         So, quickly, bundle him up in a hug and tell him you were being silly, and you love him!
(Mayor) Buckman:
Tumblr media
·         Depends, was it a citizen of pleasant Valley? Or was it a passing stranger? Because if its one of their victims then there won’t be as many long-term consequences like their will be if it were one of his residents. His family.
·         See, if you’re dating the mayor, everyone will know. Especially this mayor, because he has a taste for flare and he sure as hell introduces you as his consort every chance he gets. Which means passers by and residents alike are well aware who you are and who you ‘belong to’ (He wouldn’t put it that way, but its clear.).
·         If it was a victim, he’ll make a show of their death- even more then usual. If it was a resident, they’ll get a warning and he’ll never entirely trust them again. He’ll always bring it up from then on, too. Embarrassing you, and them. Refers to them as an almost-thief and whatever other nasty insulting name that he feels at the time.
·         But either way, he’ll be the same about your part in his heartbreak. Betrayed, but willing to forgive because you’re ‘Just so darn cute!’.
·         He will guilt trip you a lot though when its mentioned, but if you’re able to sit him down and talk about it maturely with him, and explain your side of the story, then he’ll calm down and forgive you. ‘It’s forgotten, darlin’. I’m sorry for acting immaturely.’
Carrie White:
Tumblr media
·         Surprisingly, Carrie doesn’t immediately get upset and act like Bubba did. I mean, of course she feels bad. Its not a nice thing to hear from the person you’re in love with, that they nearly left you for something else! But, she thinks about your side of this as well.
·         She guesses, she understands where you came from. It would be easier for you to love someone normal… not like her… It would be nicer for you. She gets it.
·         She keeps the wounded look off her face, for your benefit.
·         “But… “She’ll say then. And explain her side of this. That she loves you so much, and understands that it would be easier for you and just wants you happy. But she would be really happy herself, if what would make you happy is to be with her.
·         It’ll be such a relief for her if you take her hands say that’s the conclusion you came to. One of those adorable, real smiles will grace her face.
Chop Top Sawyer:
Tumblr media
·         “WhhhaaaaaaaAAaAaaat???”
·         “Let me at him! Let! Me! At! HIM! Show me where he’s at, I should- “
·         You will need to stop him from storming your place of work with a face on a stick that’s on fire (Bubba balling behind him, because that’s his face!!), fists blazing and bouncing all over the place if you want to explain. Goddamnit, Chop Top’s gotta stand up for himself, and his woman! This will not do??!!
·         “Chop Top- Chop! Stop it a second, I- Chooop! I nearly said yes!”
·         That make shim halt in place. Only for a second though, before he drops his fists and turns to you in confusion. “Wat?”
·         “But… then… I realise, I love you. And I was being stupid, and- well, that’s it. I love you.”
·         “Awww, I love you too! That’s okay then!!”
·         Prepare yourself, because otherwise the force of Chop’s lung cuddle will send you both crashing into one of Nubbins bone sculptures.
·         Chop Top is pretty light hearted about the whole thing XD
Chucky/Charles Lee Ray (We’re assuming he’s human in this. Whether that be in man or woman form. And I’m sorry if I overuse this gif, I just love it XD):
Tumblr media
·         Some stupid guy asking you out is one thing, but you considering it??? That’s a direct attack on him and will be treated with prejudice.
·         “I must not be hearing right these days, doll, because I swear I just heard come out of your pretty little mouth that you considered leaving me for some castrated turd- or, he will be castrated, at least. Stay here.”
·         I suggest you stay where you are because if you leave and he comes back to that after killing this to find you gone, he will find you, and he’ll be even more pissed. He’ll take that as an admission that you’re not in love with him anymore, and the situation will be handled much worse.
·         When he gets back, he will have the penis of the man who asked you out in a plastic zip lock bag and he’ll give it to you. Then hook a hand around the back of your neck and hold you firmly in place so that he can look down at you darkly and say: “Keep that as a reminder that I take great pleasure in sawing off any limb or body part off a person who tries to steal from me. I want you to be happy, sure, but having you is the point.”
·         For the rest of the night he’ll be pretty stiff and stay off to himself instead of hanging with you because, he didn’t say it but his feelings were hurt by this betrayal, but by the time the sun rises the next day he will have gotten over it, comforted by the fact that he has you for better or for worse now.
Drayton Sawyer:
Tumblr media
·         Drayton takes all this news in one gulp and just kinda… nods, says okay then, and leaves to continue his work. Out of it. Off with the fairies.
·         He doesn’t quite know what he could do about that. I mean, it’s good that you love him and you didn’t leave, but the fact that you thought about it still feels terrible. Especially since he doesn’t kill. He feels like he has no way of one upping you, or becoming even. He feels like the weaker part of the relationship, the one that has more to lose. Because clearly, you have options! He has… you.
·         He’ll be pretty quiet for the rest of the night and for a while after tat day he’ll act a bit off. Normal, you know. Doing things with you, and talking with you, and just being normal. But he’ll just a be a biiiiit off, because he knows he has so much more to lose, and he hates that feeling.
·         Eventually he’ll get over it, and feel better. But this has opened his eyes to that fact and its new to him! I mean, its not nice for anyone. But in his family, they all need each other They all play an equal part and even without that theirs blind loyalty involved. Here, he has to earn it and he suddenly feels very powerless, and in danger of losing you if one day you decide he isn’t enough.
Freddy Krueger:
Tumblr media
·         Similar to Chucky, he ‘wants you to be happy, but having you is the point’. He’s not above causing you an accident that puts you in a coma, so you stay with him all the time and you don’t have any other choices. Your smile is cute, but being with you trumps it all.
·         But this is only the first time, and you’ve told him that you realised you didn’t want that. You want him so his little perverted heart may give out, so he’ll let it go this once. He wont hold onto it and throw it in your face later or even use it to his advantage now.
·         He will kill the guy, though. There’s no way he won’t take the opportunity to kill someone.
Jennifer Check:
Tumblr media
·         “Well fuck you too then, bitch!”
·         Yeah… she may need a bit of time to cool down. She is hot. She graces you with her presence. How dare you stab her in the back like this. She thinks all this, and then she thinks that she should kill you. That no fuck buddy should be able to hurt her like this, but after she looks at you and assesses you… she knows she couldn’t.
·         But you don’t know that, and she’ll work with that.
·         Storming out, she’ll make you think that she’s so mad that she would kill you. Just so you’ll feel the fear for a time, which she’ll prolong as much as possible, going do her nails and toes and then get a delicious, boy flavoured meal as self-care.
·         Then, finally she’ll come back, and roll her eyes like she doesn’t know you took it seriously. Like it wasn’t her plan at all. “You really thought I would kill you? Don’t be dumb, come on! Let’s watch a movie- I pick, cuz you’re slutty ass hurt my feelings, k?”
(Sheriff) Hoyt/Charlie Hewitt:
Tumblr media
·         When he looks at you, slightly squinting like he does when he’s thinking, you think he’s going to kill you. That you never meant much to him and he’s going to turn you into dinner without blinking an eye for your betrayal- because what’s more important to Hewitt’s, then loyalty? Not much.
·         Also, Hoyts a twisted, backstabbing traitor himself so that also worries you a bit.
·         But then he just leaves the room, attitude in his eyes as he calls for Thomas to lock you away in your room and that he’s going to get dinner.
·         For a few stupid hours after that, hidden away in your room without your phone or laptop, you foolishly thing he’s going to withhold dinner from you as punishment.
·         But when he brings you in stew with a suspiciously familiar coloured eye as a sloppy garnish, and a tricky, twisted look on his face, you know what your punishment really is.
Michael Myers:
Tumblr media
·         Ohhh, no.
·         Boy’s dead.
·         That’s it.
·         You get no punishment, but this boy who asked you out is so dead. You just tell him what happened, and then he turns and leaves to get his new job done.
Patrick Bateman:
Tumblr media
·         It may be smart to tell him at work, so he can’t really flip out… trap him in the confines of social standards.
·         It won’t stop him from freaking out on you later, in the safety of your own home, but it will allow you a few more hours of crippling worry- or enough time to leave the country. You know, depending on how you word the whole thing to him.
·         A deep breath in through his nose, teeth grit. “I’ll cancel our dinner reservations.” His eyes flicker from yours, to everyone else in the office. He steps closer to you, and whispers. “Go home, don’t you dare eat anything or turn on the TV. Tie yourself up, and wait for me. And don’t let me catch you dressed, fucking whore.”
·         See, he’s had to come up with different ways to punish you when he’s mad, seeing as he cares for you. So really kinky, borderline (Sometimes not even borderline.) torturous sex will have to do. You never get to finish. And the rope is not safe, sex shop brand rope.
Pennywise (OG):
Tumblr media
·         I’m sorry, why should he care that a weak, unimportant mortal man asked you out? Its not like he would ever have succeeded, even if you hadn’t made the right decision and said no. He would have found you and gotten you back, no matter what.
·         You are his adorable little human, who he is prepared to fight for -not that that is what would ever happen here. He’s not going to waste energy fighting a mortal man when he can just take you back, easy, - and you will not get away so easily.
·         Basically, in this relationship, freewill is a fantasy. You are entirely and utterly owned by him. Like a pet.
Stu Macher:
Tumblr media
·         “You, what… really??”
·         Well, first of all, he would fight this boy. Killing him doesn’t really occur to him, because he likes to keep his romantic life and his murder life separate but he definitely wants to throw a punch or two!
·         Second of all, why would you want that!???
·         “Do you not like me, anymore?? Babe, baby, come on! What’d I do to deserve that!”
·         Honestly, he makes it out like it would have been better if you hadn’t told him. He thinks you’re mad at him and are trying to tell him you have options, by being honest and telling him this. No one has ever claimed he’s the sharpest knife in the drawer.
·         You’ll get lots of cuddles and snuggles because he wants you to know how much he loves you. But that’s not really new.
Thomas Hewitt:
Tumblr media
·         Deep breaths. Watch his chest rise and fall like he’s trying really hard not to get mad, which he is.
·         But, mostly, he reacts like Jason. Hears you out, because what else can he do? Luda taught him not to walk away from a person in the middle of a conversation.
·         Once you’re done, he thinks. Still with the very deep breaths.
·         He thinks how he trusts you, and what you say must be true. But then if you thought about leaving, then something has to be wrong, right?
·         As you continue to explain to him, slightly more panickily, that you love him and it was a momentary lapse in judgement that didn’t even really do anything but you’re telling him anyway, because you love him and you want him to trust you, he slowly starts to clam down.
·         Eventually, her brings you into a hug to stop your panicking. His breaths have returned to a normal rate, and he vows to try and forget it.
McSpirk Idea
So, I haven't seen anything concerning this idea before but I obviously haven't read every fan thing out there so here’s my idea.
(part way through I realized this was a McSpirk idea XD)
Spock’s like, one of the first human/alien hybrids right? (I always felt it was implied in the shows/movies) I know I have seen a fic where it talked about he being studied and documented in his younger years but what about necessary medications? I would think anyone serving in a starship, closed off from 90% of their natural environment would need a daily supplement of some kind, but through in odd, still not completely understood biology into the mix?
Imagine Spock has to take a handful of pills each morning, and a set of hypos after every away mission to re acclimate to the enterprise after being planet side for more than a day. Vitamin supplements he has to get weekly. Now throw McCoy into the mix, monthly exams to check to make sure Spock’s meds/vitamins are working, adjust anything that's needed, confer with the notes taken by the doctors and scientists from Vulcan and that's only if your in ToS, Imagine how much of those notes on Spock’s biological make up would be lost with Vulcan in AoS, cuz we know how private Vulcan's are I can’t see them sharing those notes with Starfleet’s main Databank. (I always imagine the VSA would be possessive of Spock like that ‘he’s our experiment, keep yer hands off my notes’ kinda thing)
But like, no one but Bones knows about all this. Only McCoy knows about the emergency hypos Spock stashes in his tricorder, or the allergic reactions Spock has had to certain environments that would normally have no affect on a full blooded being. No one knows about the drawer of pills stashed by his bed, or how carefull he really is when it comes to food, in AoS not even Nyota ever knew (I like em as friends, I always imagine that break up amicably but never stay together, if not with Bones she’s great with Scotty.)
and Spock HATES all this, he hates the hypos, the pills, the monitoring and the notes. He tries to avoid the check ups, skip a pill or two, eat something he knows he shouldn’t and instead of being all bluster Bones TOTTALLY feels for him with this. Like, he’s incredibly sympathetic and keeps the notes as spares as possible, doesn’t snark to much when he notices the odd number of pills or the food, instead he’s there with a hypo when the meal catches up with Spock, has a small case in his pocket with a single does of every one of Spock’s pills. He keeps the examinations quick and the monitoring to as little as possible. He tries to find better medicines to permanently fix Spock’s issues instead of just accepting them like the VSA did in either universe and when there is undesirably side affects he’s there, comforting bitching all the way and Spock appreciates this so damn much cuz no one had been there for him like this aside from his mother. the few humans he’d made the mistake of telling treated him differently (I'm thinking Pike and Piper from his stint on the enterprise before Jim) Pike started being oddly careful with Spock and Piper made the mistake of going severally clinical with him, so he stopped telling anyone. He comes to feel uncomfortable around any other Doctors except McCoy which turns into wanting the Doctor around more and more until, oops, out Vulcan’s got a crush on this kind, gentle man whos really just like an oyster with a hard shell and his smooshy insides hiding the pearl that is his heart and Spock falls hard.
There's just one issue here.
James T. Kirk
The man Spock has also fallen for because, I mean it’s Jim. Jim who is to Spock what sunshine is to a flower that's been forced into the shade all its life.
Who has come to the conclusion that Bones and Spock are dating after seeing them off to the side one to many times and catching said Doctor coming and going from Spock’ s quarters just as many.
And yes, Jim has already fallen head over heals for Spock, he fell the moment they met (the cheating incident for AoS, him coming aboard the Enterprise for ToS) and he’s ben crushing on Bones for so long he’s pretty sure if he stopped it’d be like going blind. But he’d never get in the way of these two but he DOEs wish they’d have told him so he starts snooping and, to Spock’s horror, finds out about the meds and research and emergency hypos.
And of course, the man panics and convinces himself that Spock is not only sick but its terminal and he rushes to Bones because he want’s a damned explanation and he forces his way into Bone’s office where Spock is coming down from another bad reaction to a new medicine and he’s huddled in the corner of the room with Bone’s acting as a comforting shield from the outside world.
At first Jim is confused and Bones is conflicted, he knows Spock definitely doesn’t want Jim to see him like this but he’s got a hold of McCoy’s shirt and isn’t letting go. At first he hopes he can shoo Jim out wordlessly but Jim blows it by slowly approaching and saying (more or less) “Let me help.”
Spock about has a silent conniption and Bones tries to make Jim leave and Jim’s only response is yet again, ask to let him help.
already stressed and worn out, Spock caves, reaching out to Jim and tugging him in like his has his Leonard shaped security blanket.
Jim works with Bones to calm and help Spock while Jim receives a full explanation on what all those pills and hypos were for and Jim admits to his panic when he found them which has Spock wondering at such a sever reaction, realizing as he’s asking Jim this that it must be because they are friends and Jim says point blank, “Because love you and I Love Bones, and if we lost you, we’d lose Bones too and I’d have lost you both. If that ever happened, it’d be kinder to just go ahead and chop off both my hands, I would have lost them anyway.”
Whish leads to shmoop and talking of feelings and ends in a huge cuddle pile on Jim’s bed cuz its bigger and now Jim has a case of Spock’s pills and a hypo along with a mental list of foods neither of them should touch and he’s helping Bones study new medicine mixes while Spock makes everyone tea and lunches and enjoys taking time to keep their small quarters neat and tidy like a good Vulcan bond mate should, when he’s not Mid experiment himself anyway, then the rooms fall into complete disarray and when Bones and Jim notice they try to help but they can’t make the tea right and nothing is ever clean enough for Spock. And Bones has to sleep on the outside of their little pile at night so if there is an emergency he can go and Spock is in the middle so he doesn’t hog the blankets but he’s a cuddler and if he doesn’t have to get outta bed he doesn’t want to and won’t let his cuddle victim go unless you give his ear a pinch then it’s a knee jerk reaction to slap the hand away and roll over to protect his ear.
oh and the crew totally knows about the three of them, have suspected it for ages now, but they won’t tell until their silly Captain, First officer and MO want to tell them.
and yeah that was my idea that I just had rolling around in my head.
IT (1986)
What is it about? The Losers Club, a group of 7 kids that in different ways are outsiders among the other children in the little town of Derry must come back 27 years after defeating their worst fears embodied in a evil alien entity that has preyed on this small Maine town and its recidents since the dawn of time. Thoughts: - I have read this book a gazillion times and it’s my favorite Stephen King book of all time (though that may change once I finish this challenge, but only time will tell) everytime I read through its pages is like reuniting with an old dear friend, because most of the characters (read: the Losers Club) are just that for me, I read this book for the first time when I was 15 after growing up with the 90’s miniseries, and I loved it, that feeling hasn’t changed with the years and well I want to elaborate a bit on what I love about this book. - Derry’s history: One of the reasons this book is so damn big is that it delves on the history of this little town called Derry, of course this is to help the reader understand just for how long and how big is IT’s influence on the town, but I just found it so fascinating, I’ve always loved history, and this book just reaaaally fullfiled my needs in that aspect, the town’s history is full of gruesome events but it’s very intresting and through all the same. -Loser’s Club: I love this kids, we are introduced to them little by little through different POV’s and god, I just really like the diversity and complexity in them: a kid with a stutter, an asthmatic that is really a kid heavily manipulated by his overprotective mother, an overweight, a jewish with OCD, a girl victim of physical/emotional parental abuse, the class clown that most likely has ADHD, the only black boy in town… And what I love the most is that they are NOT defined by that, sure,that is how the world sees them but they are so much more than that and together they find their true identities: Stuttering Bill be comes the Leader, Asthmatic Eddie becomes the Compass, Fat Ben becomes the Constructor, Jewish Stan becomes the Logic, Poor Beverly becomes the Shooter, Trashmouth Richie becomes the Weapon (his voces physically hurt IT), Black Mike becomes the Historian. As well as the belonging and friendship they had never had before, their relationship is strong and beautiful, as a reader you will most often find some of yourself in them and even if you don’t you love them all the same for their flaws and virtues. -IT: I read somewhere that a story is only as great as its villian and in IT’s case that I think is only fitting, thus my love for is evil entity, because IT is really a big represantation of violence not necessarily(The Bradley Gang Shooting was afterall motivated by the Derry townsfolk rightgeousness) but mostly evil, IT transforms into awfull gruesome monsters yet his most terrifying act is the influence it helds on the people inhabiting Derry, on taking the violent nature of some people (Derry’s White Decency League, Eddie Corcoran stepfather’s, Alvin Marsh, Butch and Henry Bowers…) and exploit it for its own gain, IT is scary for it’s power, for the fact that one can really comprehend it’s magitude, and when we finally get to get inside it’s head we find something more akin to a beast, hungry and vengeful, he had turned lazy because he already had in Derry a comfortable feeding place and now wants to kill the Loser’s Club because for the first time in its long existance IT feels fear! and how wonderful is that? a group of scared isolated kids find strenght in each other to rid their Town and follow kids of this entity, even if they are afraid themselves, and they succeed in frightening a creature that literally feeds of fear. -The portrayal of the timelines and gruesome subjects: The 1950 are not usted only for aesthetics or praised as the “good old times” King shows a very gritty reality showcasing the racism (very prominent in Mike’s storyline), sexism, homophobia, domestic violence, anti-semitism,and it goes further yet showing that 27 years later these things haven’t changed and IT uses them for it’s benefit. The book doesn’t shy away from any of these things and often it is very hard to read through them but as well I think is important to read them to gain concience,they are not presented as good or romantiziced in any from or way, nor should they ever be (dude the anti-semitism in Patricia Uris’s POV is something that will open your eyes in many ways if you are not jewish, and the Black Spot story will horrify you but also help you understand it was not only the South of USA and the KKK that spread hate and horror for PoC people) this things are meant to horrify you thus I feel it would be a disservice not to read them (though I can understand if anyone simply can’t). -The bittersweet ending: Really heart breaking that after reuniting with the people they could really be themselves with the Loser’s Club are meant to not remember each other ( SPOILERS AHEAD DO NOT READ IF YOU DON’T WANNA SPOIL PART OF THE ENDING OF THE BOOK: as a side note and I do not mean this as hate to the ship or anything but a real doubt I have can anyone explain to me why is everyone saying/asuming Ben and Beverly did end up together?, I mean going by the 90’s miniseries sure, but in the book Mike only says she is going to Nebraska with Ben and then back to Chicago with Kay and that he thinks they are/will be having sex, but also later we find that even if they are in the same Town Mike and Bill have begun to forget each other and it’s heavily implied the same will happen with them all? and that is a very Stephen King thing to do I mean most of the book couples I’ve read from him have similar bittersweet endings so… Pls someone explain) I just always about cry about the End and you know the THING that happens with two of the losers. But also I am a ho for this kind of bittersweet stuff so of course I love it. -Richie and Beverly’s friendship: Listen I LIVE for them, of course I just about adore every Loser’s friendship (Bill/Eddie, Richie/Stan, Richie/Eddie, Richie/Bill, Mike/Ben, Stan/Bev duuuude everyone is amazing) but this two just about make me crazy about them, tbh I kinda lowkey ship them in a platonic kinda way, and I was endlessly frustrated by the lack of scenes between them in the 90’s miniseries after I read the book cuz booooy, the yo-yo scene is so goddamned amazing, Richie being the first POV in which Bev is mentioned and he reminds her through the lyric of a song, his Humphrey Bogart voice he does when speaking with her, how much he respects her, also Miss Sca'lett!!!, not to mention that sweet ass scene they have in the book “22/11/63” where Bev is teaching Richie how to swing for a school talent show, ahhhh Imma stop right there cuz I am fangirling waaaay to much and probably y'all think I am wierd for liking such an unpopular thing. -There is just one thing I always felt was completely unecessary to add and was gross to read (you already know what I am talking about and if not I’m not gonna spoil you/gross you out), I have read of course why SK did it but I still think he should have looked for another way to make the Losers enter adulthood : / Movie/TV Adaptations: There are 2: The ABC’s 1990 miniseries “IT” and the 2017 movie by Andy Muschietti “IT (chapter 1)” of course it has been already confirmed there is going to be another movie for the Second part but I will not to go too much into it now. 1990: The opinions on this one are very polarized, some love it with a passion, some hate it… I actually love it, and by that I do not mean is a perfect adaptation, but it was such an integral part of my childhood and family life that it would be impossible for me to hate it, and I feel most people are terribly unfair with it, because it is not a Bad adaptation like let’s say Kubrick’s Shining (yaa I’m going there) it had a lot of limitations in budget and technology and still managed to capture some of the best parts of the book (the Loser’s friendship mainly, it was beautiful) of course it wasn’t gorey or violent but in it’s time it was scary as hell, which beings me to Tim Curry’s performance as Pennywise that became so iconic people automatically recognize the clown’s design, for fuck’s sake Pennywise became one of the most iconic monsters of that time and terrorized an entire generation of kids and adults alike, of course it has it’s faults (the adult’s part wasn’t great, tho the scene with Bev in Mrs. Kersh house was great, and the ending was bound to be confusing af to people that didn’t read the book) but overall it was a good atempt and it already has a place in pop culture and the hearts of many horror fans. 2017: Oh boy I was really looking forward to this one since they anounced it was going to be a thing (ahhh remember the time Will Poulter and Cary Fukunaga were our only hope?) and just had the chance to see it today, because a lot of awful things happened in my country (I am mexican btw) and yeah, so I left the theater with a very pleasant sensation IT 2017 is a great movie and I LOVED it, the acting was GREAT everyone did amazing, Georgie’s death scene was simply amazing and so sad, the projector scene was wow, lots of winks to book readers like the turtle and Eddie Corcoran’s missing pamphlet, Bev’s bathroom scene, the rock fight!!!,Eddie changing Loser to Lover is iconic, some of Richie’s one-liners were amazing, Pennywise dance pfffftt, Ben was adorable with his crush and love of New Kids on the Block, the Losers,“they’re Gazebos they’re bullshit!” iconic, mainly I feel it captured the general feeling of the book however that does not mean I didn’t had some issues with it as well, first thing that bothered me a LOT is the treatment to Mike Hanlon, excuse the fuck out of me but no, they took his thing (history of Derry) and gave it to Ben (also Ben not constructing things like ??? Could have been a perfect chance to have him build lego stuff but k) where is my beautiful spring loving child?? I just couldn’t find any single trait on his character apart from the wierd sheep thing and his parents, which takes me to another issue why is every adult on Derry so shitty? Like yeah there was a lot of shady awful stuff in the book but there were also ok people namely Mrs. Starret (the librarian, that is so unnecesarily creppy? Wierd? In the movie), Richie’s parents (his dad is hillarious), Mike’s parents they are the best tbh, Mr Keene (ok this one is a sarcastic asshole but he did try to help Eddie instead of letting him keep on believing he was sick to keep selling stuff, and also was never a wierd pervert), Mr. Nell (dude I would have killed to hear Richie doing the Irish Cop voice), the Tracker Brothers (boy Eddie looking longingly at the baseball diamond would have been 10/10, my boy loved sports)… thing is the Losers did love Derry and some parts of their childhood in it and that’s were the nostalgia hits on part two, Stan well I loved they delved more onto his jewishness (a thing not much touched in the book because Stan’s family is not very strictly religious) but was very side lined as well ( in my opinion that part about Richie being scared shitless and Bill punches him would have fit Stan better, also almost all of the Losers got closure (Bev rebelled against her father, Ben kissed Beverly and she got to find out he was the one who wrote the haiku, Bill got to talk with Georgie kind of?, Mike stepped up against Henry, Eddie confronted his mother,Richie let go of his fear to kill the fucking clown…) yet Stan doesn’t I just think it would have been nice to have him iniciate the pact as he did on the book and also his bird book????, the slut shaming and over sexualization of Beverly (I won’t even go into how much it broke my heart to see/hear Richie saying all that stuff about her like no, he respected her a lot thx) just why change the white trash problem to a slut shaming thing???(also while his dad did not beat her in this movie he was so much more GROSS than in the 90’s) I am however not bothered by the ‘Kiss of Life’ trope nor do I think she was reduced to a damsel in distress if anything she was the bravest of them all, also some things not really bothered me but made me wonder what will happen in Chapter 2 namely wft is gonna happen with Henry is he alive?? Same for Bev’s dad what happened there? Is he alive? Is he dead? Though of course we will get answers in chapter 2 I was just like wow how is this gonna pan out. Basically an amazing movie I was not disappointed at all and I would love to watch it again but as an adaptation I think I would still love to see a longish miniseries covering more of Derry’s history and the kid’s personalities/misadventures (of course I do not want THAT scene to be in any adaptation ever) but generally covering more book stuff. but hey all this is just my humble opinion and I admit I adore the book, though I am not closed off to changes just those things kinda made me go hmmmmmm…. Quotes: Stan: “Every- thing’s a lot tougher when it’s for real. That’s when you choke. When it’s for real.” “He wanted to tell them that those dead boys who had lurched and shambled their way down the spiral staircase had done something worse than frighten him: they had offended him.” Bill: “If fiction and politics ever really do become interchangeable, I’m going to kill myself, because I won’t know what else to do. You see, politics always change. Stories never do” “Silver flew and Stuttering Bill Denbrough flew with him; their gantry-like shadow fled behind them. They raced down Up-Mile Hill together; the playing cards roared. Bill’s feet found the pedals again and he began to pump, wanting to go even faster, wanting to reach some hypothetical speed — not of sound but of memory — and crash through the pain barrier.” Richie:“Now he had to go back to being himself, and that was hard — it got harder to do that every year. It was easier to be brave when you were someone else.” “He knew a great deal of the Bible already, and he knew the Bible believed in all sorts of weird stuff. According to the Bible, God Himself was at least one-third Ghost, and that was just the beginning. You could tell the Bible believed in demons, because Jesus threw a bunch of them out of this guy. Real chuckalicious ones, too. When Jesus asked the guy who had them what his name was, the demons answered and told Him to go join the Foreign Legion. Or something like that” (#make chuckalicious happen 2k17) Ben: “Maybe that’s why God made us kids first and built us close to the ground, because He knows you got to fall down a lot and bleed a lot before you learn that one simple lesson. You pay for what you get, you own what you pay for … and sooner or later whatever you own comes back home to you.” “A child blind from birth doesn’t even know he’s blind until someone tells him. Even then he has only the most academic idea of what blindness is; only the formerly sighted have a real grip on the thing. Ben Hanscom had no sense of being lonely because he had never been anything but. If the condition had been new, or more localized, he might have understood, but loneliness both encompassed his life and overreached it. It simply was.” Eddie: “Sometimes home is where the heart is, Eddie thought randomly, I believe that. Old Bobby Frost said home’s the place where, when you go there they have to take you in. Unfortunately, it’s also the place where, once you’re in there, they don’t ever want to let you out.” “Maybe, he thought, there aren’t any such things as good friends or bad friends - maybe there are just friends, people who stand by you when you’re hurt and who help you feel not so lonely. Maybe they’re always worth being scared for, and hoping for, and living for. Maybe worth dying for too, if that’s what has to be. No good friends. No bad friends. Only people you want, need to be with; people who build their houses in your heart.” Mike: “Haunted, haunting, haunt.Often visited by ghosts or spirits, as in the pipes under the sink; to appear or recur often, as every twenty-five, twenty-six, or twenty-seven years; a feeding place for animals, as in the cases of George Denbrough, Adrian Mellon, Betty Ripsom, the Albrecht girl, the Johnson boy.A feeding place for animals. Yes, that’s the one that haunts me.” “But Mike enjoyed most of the places in Derry his father sent or took him to, and by the time Mike was ten Will had succeeded in conveying his own interest in the layers of Derry’s history to his son. Sometimes, as when he had been trailing his fingers over the slightly pebbled surface of the stand in which the Memorial Park birdbath was set, or when he had squatted down to look more closely at the trolley tracks which grooved Mont Street in the Old Cape, he would be struck by a profound sense of time … time as something real, as something that had unseen weight” Bev: “oh shapes of men, sometimes seen as day closed down, sometimes seen across Watertower Square in the noonlight of a clear windy autumn day, shapes of men, rules of men, desires of men: or Tom, so like her father when he took off his shirt and stood slightly slumped in front of the bathroom mirror to shave. Shapes of men.” ‘Is it because I’m a girl?’[…] she exploded.‘Well, fuck you!’ She whirled around to look at the others, and they flinched from her gaze,so hot it was nearly radioactive. 'Fuck all of you if you think the same thing!’ She turned back to Bill and began to talk fast, rapping him with words. 'This is something more than some diddlyshit kid’s game like tag or guns or hide-and-go-seek, and you know it, Bill. We’re supposed to do this. That’s part of it. And you’re not going to cut me out just because I’m a girl.“ Adding this one cuz I love how stupidly cute it is and cuz that Richie is such a charmer XD (wot-wot?) ”[…]'Oh dear, am I being asked out on a date?’ For a moment Richie was uncharacteristically flustered. He actually felt a blush rising in his cheeks. He had made the offer in a perfectly natural way, just as he had made it to Ben … except hadn’t he said something to Ben about owesies? Yes. But he hadn’t said anything about owesies to Beverly. Richie suddenly felt a bit weird. He had dropped his eyes, retreating from her amused glance, and realized now that her skirt had ridden up a bit when she shifted forward to drop the ice-cream cone in the litter barrel, and he could see her knees. He raised his eyes but that was no help; now he was looking at the beginning swells of her bosoms. Richie, as he usually did in such moments of confusion, took refuge in absurdity. 'Yes! A date!’ he screamed, throwing himself on his knees before her and holding his clasped hands up. 'Please come! Please come! I shall ruddy kill meself if you say no, ay-wot? Wot-wot?’ 'Oh, Richie, you’re such a fuzzbrain,’ she said, giggling again … but weren’t her cheeks also a trifle flushed? If so, it made her look prettier than ever. 'Get up before you get arrested.’“
