It was good in a way that that guy is really up to something in a topic that is interesting to most people and that he has evidence on what I only had hunches about

#he put wires in human brain and found out there are neurons activating when. well. when they understand a concept.#you had to be there to make it make sense #and its all because of language (because language makes us think abstract thoughts) (like. if i say 'cow' you can imagine a cow without me #telling how big it is or what color it is etc)#and he was able to do so bc he has a degree in mathematics. bc he did his maths and isolated neurons which only react to a certain concept.#(he showed a guy with a wire in his brain pics of actors and some neurons reacted to the same actress. even if her name was just written #(no pic) or spoken (audio stimulus)#so like its not a sensory reaction bc it comes from different pathways #so. like. he found neurons in brain who fire signals when they react to a concept #which is cool #and! the context sort of overlaps in humans. we remember things in connection with other things.#while animals have like. no overlapping.#but they could maybe idk #the brain is there! but it works different
