I love your writing 🥰 could you do Arcane characters + finding their s/o packing their bags after a bad arguement, like how they'd react/convince them to stay?
(I love angst)
Omg thank you!! And I love angst too dw-
Jinx
Jinx barges into the room, her wild energy halting when she sees your half-packed bag. Her lips twitch in frustration, and she lets out a nervous laugh.
“Oh, so that’s it? You’re just gonna leave?” she sneers, but her voice wavers. She scratches her arm, pacing erratically. “Fine. Go ahead. Walk out, just like everyone else.”
You catch her biting her lip, her eyes darting to the door, then to you. “No, wait,” she suddenly blurts, sitting on the floor with her knees hugged to her chest. “I didn’t mean that.” Her voice cracks, the manic edge slipping away. “I don’t want you to go. Please. I… I’ll try to do better. Just stay.”
Vi
Vi sees you with your suitcase and freezes, the fight still fresh in her mind. “You’re leaving?” she asks, her voice low, but there’s no hiding the hurt.
You nod without meeting her eyes, and she steps closer, her hands curling into fists. “Look, I know I screwed up, alright? But don’t do this. Don’t give up on us.”
She steps in front of you, her hands reaching for your shoulders. “You mean everything to me. If you walk out that door, I… I don’t know what I’ll do. Please. Let’s talk this out, Firefly.”
Sevika
Sevika leans against the doorframe, her metal arm glinting in the low light. She watches you pack with a clenched jaw, the tension palpable. “So, you’re just gonna leave, huh?”
When you don’t respond, she sighs and steps closer, her boots heavy against the floor. “I know I can be a pain in the ass. I know I said some stupid things, but you don’t just walk out on someone you care about.”
Her voice softens as she places her hand on yours, stopping you mid-fold. “Don’t do this. Stay. I’ll fix it—I swear. Just… don’t leave me.”
Silco
Silco doesn’t raise his voice when he sees you packing. Instead, he stands in the doorway, his hands clasped behind his back.
“So, this is your solution?” he asks, his tone sharp but measured. “Run away instead of facing the problem?”
You snap back, “I need time, Silco.”
He exhales slowly, his composure cracking just enough for you to see the worry in his eyes. “If you walk out that door, you’ll regret it. And so will I.” He steps closer, his voice dropping to a near whisper. “Stay. Let me prove to you that this is worth fighting for.”
Vander
Vander catches you packing and immediately looks defeated. “Ah, c’mon now,” he murmurs, stepping into the room. “Don’t do this.”
His voice is calm but filled with sadness. He sits on the edge of the bed, his large hands resting on his knees. “I know I messed up, but runnin’ away isn’t gonna fix it.”
He looks up at you, his blue eyes pleading. “You’re my heart, love. I can’t let you go without trying to make this right. Stay. We’ll figure it out together.”
Ekko
Ekko bursts in, still fuming from the argument, but his anger dissipates the second he sees you packing. “Wait, what the hell? You’re leaving?”
“I need space, Ekko,” you say, trying to keep your voice steady.
He grabs your hand gently, his big brown eyes wide with panic. “No. Don’t do this. Don’t leave me. I… I’m sorry, alright? I’ll do better. Just tell me what you need.”
He lets out a shaky breath, kneeling in front of you. “You’re my everything. Don’t walk out on me now.”
Jayce
Jayce walks in and immediately freezes. “Are you… are you packing?”
You don’t answer, but the guilt on your face says it all. He crosses the room quickly, grabbing your hands. “No. You’re not leaving. I won’t let you.”
“Jayce—”
“No!” he interrupts, his voice breaking. “I know I’ve been a stubborn idiot, but I’ll do anything to make this right. Don’t give up on me. On us.”
Viktor
Viktor stands in the doorway, his cane trembling slightly as he grips it. “You’re leaving?” he asks softly, his voice strained.
“I need time,” you reply, your hands shaking as you pack.
He limps closer, his eyes full of regret. “I know I’ve been difficult. And I know this isn’t easy, but please, don’t leave.”
He places a hand over yours, his touch light but firm. “We can fix this. I need you, more than I can put into words. Don’t go.”
Caitlyn
Caitlyn enters the room and immediately notices the suitcase. Her heart sinks. “You’re leaving?”
When you nod, her composure falters. She moves to stand in front of you, her hands shaking slightly. “I know I hurt you, and I’m sorry. But walking away won’t solve this.”
She takes your hand, squeezing it tightly. “I love you. More than anything. Please… don’t go.”
Mel Medarda
Mel watches you pack with a heavy expression, her arms crossed. “So, that’s it? You’re just going to leave?”
When you don’t answer, she sighs and steps closer. “I know I said things I shouldn’t have, but leaving won’t fix this. Let me make it right.”
She places a hand on your cheek, her voice soft and full of sincerity. “I love you. And I’ll do whatever it takes to prove that to you. Stay.”
Ambessa Medarda
Ambessa’s towering figure blocks the doorway as she watches you pack. “You think leaving is the answer?” she asks, her voice low and commanding.
“I need time,” you say quietly.
She steps forward, her presence overwhelming but not unkind. “Time won’t solve anything if you’re not here to face it with me.”
She takes your hand, her grip firm but tender. “You’re mine, and I don’t give up on what’s mine. Stay. We’ll fix this.”
Maddie Nolen
Maddie’s expression crumples when she sees your packed bag. “Wait, what are you doing?”
When you explain, she shakes her head, her eyes glossy with unshed tears. “No, no, no. You can’t just leave.”
She rushes over, grabbing your hands. “Please. Don’t go. I’ll do whatever it takes to fix this. I can’t lose you.”
Lest
Lest’s ears flatten as she catches sight of your packed bag, her tail swishing in agitation. “You’re leaving?”
“I just… need some space,” you mumble, avoiding her gaze.
She steps closer, her golden eyes full of hurt. “I don’t want you to go. You mean everything to me.”
Her claws lightly graze your wrist as she takes your hand gently. “Stay. Let’s work through this together. I’ll do better. I promise.”

“Today?” Kara said, “really?”
There was a silence in the house, as a pall had fallen over it. Everyone was gathered for the festivities and the turkey in the oven was filling the house with a delightful scent that made Lena’s mouth water. Thanksgiving was supposed to be the one day that Lena could forget about her waistline and just indulge herself. She’d been “helping” Eliza along with Alex and Kelly and Nia while the boys and Kara were out back tossing a football and pretending that she and J’onn didn’t have an outrageous advantage over Brainy and James.
Now Kara was standing in the living room as the news broke in over the football game and announced that a rampaging alien was tearing apart Rio de Janiero.
“Guys,” Kara said solemnly, “I have to go.”
Lena’s heart sank. She knew better than to protest. Kara had already glumly removed her glasses and was about to go grab her suit. Lena reached out and curled a hand around her bicep.
“Please be careful, darling.”
Lena could feel eyes on her back, Eliza and Alex and Nia all watching, silently urging one of them to just finally make a damned move. Lena *lived with her*, for God’s sake, and had since she sold her penthouse. They shared breakfasts and Kara gave her foot rubs and still they were stuck in this maddening limbo without defining what and who they were and it seemed neither dared to ask.
Lena knew what she wanted the answer to be, and how it ached inside her.
Kara glumly trudged down the stairs in full Supergirl regalia, regal and imposing as ever and just as beautiful. Since she’d revealed her identity to the world she’d been freed from the constraints of having to disguise herself, and a few months ago had buzzed the left side of her head, having trimmed the rest to shoulder length, and Lena longed to run her fingers over the fuzz.
She’d also altered her suit again. It no longer had sleeves. Every time Lena saw her, it felt like her soul was going to escape her body.
Kara came over and put her hands on Lena’s arms.
“I’ll be fine,” she said.
Lena gulped down her anxiety.
“I can hear your heart, you know.”
“Just be careful. Please.”
Kara started to turn. Maybe it was the audience, maybe she was just tired of being mired in this thick tension between them. Maybe it was the wine. She grabbed Kara’s arm again and sprang forward to brush her lips against Kara’s cheek, dangerously close to Kara’s mouth.
“For luck.”
Kara’s eyes flew open wide and she gaped at Lena.
“I’ll be b-back,” she said, and swept out the door, cape billowing majestically.
God how Lena hated that cape, sometimes. It blocked the view.
What had been a festive gathering grew quiet. Everyone gathered around the television to see what was going on, save Eliza who politely excused herself to the kitchen, hiding tears that everyone politely ignored.
Lena joined her. She was making the gravy.
“A life of fighting isn’t what I wanted for her,” she said.
“Me either.”
They were alone in the kitchen and Eliza was whisking a roux as she waited for the raw flour smell to cook off.
“Lena, do you have feelings for my daughter?”
Lena swallowed hard, grabbing a knife to chop carrots for glazing so that she’d have something to occupy your hands.
Eliza’s voice was soft, something wistful in her eyes. “You must know how she feels about you.”
Lena had to stop to avoid slicing open her finger, almost feeling the touch of the blade. She cleared her throat.
“I do,” she admitted. “I very much do. If I’m going to be honest with myself, I’ve been in love with her for years.”
Eliza nodded, utterly unsurprised. “Kara is very hesitant about delicate things. When she first started living with us, she used to rip doorknobs off and break things at random while she learned to control her powers. She’s probably told you about Streaky.”
“She has.”
Eliza began pouring stock into the pot, her whisk making soft scraping sounds.
“She’s still that way about everything. Afraid if she pushes too hard, she’ll break something.”
Lena nodded. It was at that moment that Alex stormed into the kitchen. “She’s back.”
Immediately, Lena rushed out into the living room. Kara trudged through the door, and sighed.
“He got a few good hits in but he’s contained.”
Lena could only stare. Her suit was covered in scorch marks and even worse, Kara was bruised, her knuckles especially battered. She smiled weakly.
“I just need a minute to clean up.”
With a deep sigh, Kara turned and headed upstairs.
Lena could feel the eyes on her before she glanced back. Eliza motioned a silent “Go”, and Lena went.
She knocked at the bathroom door.
“Lena?” said Kara.
She always knew. Super-senses.
“It’s me. Can I come in?”
Brief hesitation, then, “yes.”
Lena stepped inside and closed the door. Kara was washing her hands, the injuries already vanishing. Lena didn’t care. She took Kara’s hands anyway, gently washing them under warm water.
She then fumbled at the clasps and unhooked Kara’s cape, and folded it. It was surprisingly heavy, made of a dense material from her long lost home. Setting it aside, she rested her hand against Kara’s deliciously broad back, silently waiting for permission.
“Go ahead,” Kara said in a shaky voice.
Lena freed the tab of the hidden zipper and pulled, baring Kara’s expansive muscular back, and peeled the suit away from her shoulders. Kara had nothing but a sports bra and boxer briefs on beneath. She finished shimmying out of the suit on her own.
Lena has seen Kara in bathing suits, or caught flashes of her changing, but this was different, somehow more intimate. There was a vulnerability, not just in the woman disrobing but in the goddess showing Lena her bruises. Lena gently touched a black and purple mark on Kara’s flank.
“This one hurt, didn’t it.”
“It always hurts. I can feel it, I just pretend I don’t.”
Lena looked up at her and met her gaze.
“Kara, may I kiss you?”
Kara blinked and Lena could actually feel her tremble.
“Yes,” she breathed.
Lena rose on her tiptoes and pressed their lips together very softly, with a deliberate slowness. When Kara kissed her back and pulled her into a delicate embrace, hands bracketed low on her hips, Lena felt like she could fly.
Kara was looking at her in wonder.
“Was that for more luck?”
Lena felt bold. She had seize the moment now, before she lost her nerve and they fell back into tense limbo.
“Kara Danvers, if you want to, you can get very lucky tonight.”
Her eyes were wide and Lena grinned.
“I umm, I…”
Lena trailed a finger down the center of Kara’s muscular chest.
“Dinner is almost ready, darling. Take your shower. Just remember to save room for dessert.”
Kara favored her with a delighted smile as Lena stepped out of the bathroom and padded down the stairs.
When she reached the ground floor, everyone was pointedly focused elsewhere, either on the football game or cooking, and Kelly and Nia were playing cards at the dining room table.
Alexa, though, handed her a beer. Lena took it with a shaking hand.
“Fucking finally,” Alex whispered. “Just don’t get too loud tonight, okay? Go down to the beach if you can’t control yourself.”
Lena’s eyes narrowed.
“I hate you.”
“Love ya too, sis-in-law,” said Alex.
“We’re not married yet.”
Alex tipped back her brew. “Six months, tops.”
Lena took a long pull on her beer and scowled.
(It ended up being four months)

Best Friend | Lando Norris x Reader Summary: This is what it feels like to be in love with your best friend
Warnings: None :)) Just fluffy moments in your relationship with Lando!
“You promised not to laugh,” Lando said, pouting as you tried—and failed—to hide your grin behind your hand. The corners of your mouth betrayed you, threatening to give way to the laugh you were desperately holding back.
“I’m not laughing,” you managed to choke out, though your eyes told a very different story.
“You’re being mean,” he all but whines.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” you said, standing up from the bed and reaching to ruffle his curls, “It’s really not that bad.”
It was that bad.
His haircut was…well, let’s just say the barber had done him no favors. The fade was patchy and uneven, and the length was so short it bordered on tragic. But despite the mess, he looked undeniably cute—though you weren’t about to let him off the hook without teasing him first.
“Now you’re just lying,” he muttered, his lips pursing as he entwined his fingers with yours.
“I’m not,” you insisted, cupping his face with your free hand, thumb brushing gently over his cheek. “Look, it’s easy to cover with a cap, and your helmet does all the work during races anyway. No one will even notice.”
“You noticed.”
“I live with you,” you said, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. “I see you every day.” Another kiss, this time on the other cheek. “I notice everything about you.”
A soft, breathy chuckle escaped him as he let his head rest on your shoulder. “Do you think I still look pretty?”
“You always look pretty,” you assured him, wrapping your arms around his waist. He pulled you closer, his embrace warm and comforting. “No barber could ever ruin that.”
A beat passed, then you added with a teasing smile, “But, for the record, your hair does look like shit, bubba.”
He laughed, the sound filling the room and lighting up your heart. You had a feeling his favorite cap was going to get a lot of mileage in the days ahead—or at least until he decided his hair was back to normal.
You were typing away on your laptop, racing against deadlines before the upcoming race weekend. Clearing your workload now meant you could fully enjoy cheering on your boyfriend as he gave it his all on home turf. Normally, staying focused was easy—especially with the promise of a weekend spent as his biggest cheerleader, a role you thoroughly loved.
But today? Today, your boyfriend was making it very difficult to get anything done.
“Lando,” you warned, your tone a mix of exasperation and amusement, “I swear, if you don’t let go, you’ll be at Silverstone alone.”
Lando was currently bent over, arms wrapped snugly around you as you worked at the dining table. Every so often, he would hum some random tune and sway side to side, forcing you to sway along with him.
“I thought you liked my hugs,” he teased, placing a kiss on the top of your head. You could practically feel the mischievous smile on his lips—he knew exactly what he was doing.
“I do like your hugs,” you said, shooting him a pout, “But only when they don’t mess with me while I’m working.”
He chuckled, planting another kiss to your hair, clearly pleased with his antics, before finally releasing you and plopping down in the chair next to yours.
“Oh! I’m free!” you exclaimed dramatically, throwing your arms up in mock surprise before sticking your tongue out at him. Without missing a beat, you turned back to your laptop, ready to dive back into work.
For a while, the room was peaceful. He sat quietly, scrolling through his phone, the occasional TikTok audio or soft giggle breaking the silence. It was nice—a balance between shared space and focus.
And then he got bored.
You could feel it before you saw it. The subtle shift in his energy, the way his chair creaked as he stood, the deliberate slowness of his steps. You didn’t look up, hoping he’d wander off to his game room or find something else to occupy himself.
But, of course, that wasn’t what was going to happen.
He stopped behind you, standing there silently as if planning his next move. You kept typing, pretending not to notice, but your fingers hesitated when he suddenly dragged your chair back from the table.
“Lando, wha—!” You gasped, only for him to scoop you up, lifting you into his arms.
“Hey!” you protested, half-laughing, as he carried you bridal style to the couch. He plopped you down gently before settling himself on top of you, his head resting right over your heart.
With his weight anchoring you and his arms snug around your waist, your laptop—and your deadlines—were officially forgotten.
You let out a soft sigh, your hands instinctively beginning to draw lazy circles on his back. “You’re so lucky I tolerate you,” you teased, your tone light but affectionate.
“You love me, actually,” he countered, his voice muffled against your shirt. You could feel his lips curve into a smug smile.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever,” you replied, rolling your eyes even though he couldn’t see.
Undeterred, he nuzzled deeper into you, his curls tickling your chin. “You do,” he insisted, his words vibrating through your chest.
You chuckled, the warmth of his presence making it impossible to argue. “I do. I really do.”
“We’ve seen that movie a million times. We need to watch something else,” Lando groaned, leaning back against the couch cushions.
“But, Lando! It’s Mean Girls! You can never get enough Mean Girls!” you shot back, clutching the remote dramatically.
“You can,” he insisted, his eyes narrowing at you with a mix of exasperation and fondness. “Especially when we’ve watched it like a million times. Every single movie night, love. Every. Single. One. For the last two months.”
“It’s a great movie,” you mumbled, pouting.
Lando rolled his eyes, though the smile tugging at his lips gave him away. He slid closer from his side of the couch, his hand brushing yours. “It is a good movie,” he admitted, leaning in to place a quick kiss on your cheek. “But I swear, I can recite it line by line at this point.”
His lips found yours for a brief, teasing kiss before he added, “Besides, we need to watch new films. Preferably ones that don’t inspire you to cut holes in my tank tops so I, quote, ‘look like Regina George.’”
You pouted, pursing your lips dramatically. “They’re a timeless fashion statement.”
“Timeless, my ass,” he laughed, shaking his head as his hand lingered on yours, “But fine. One last time, okay? After this, we’re expanding your movie taste.”
“Deal,” you said with a grin, snuggling into his side as the opening credits rolled.
The two of you fell into an easy silence, the flickering glow of the TV casting soft shadows across the room. As the movie played, Lando’s hand traced absentminded shapes along your arm, and your head rested comfortably on his shoulder.
Midway through, his voice broke the quiet. “When we’re old and gray,” he murmured, his tone soft, “And we’re still arguing about what to watch, you better have more suggestions than just Mean Girls.”
You chuckled, cuddling closer to him. But the movie wasn’t holding your attention anymore. Instead, your thoughts wandered to the idea of growing old together.
You imagined those future arguments, the two of you bickering playfully in the living room of a house that had become a home. He’d probably still let you win, just like he always did, and you’d end up asleep together on the couch halfway through whatever you’d picked.
You pictured racing each other down the stairs, canes in hand, laughter filling halls lined with photos of your children and grandchildren. You saw the teasing, the banter, the moments when he’d drive you up the wall—only to have you laughing seconds later. And no matter what, you’d always go to bed holding each other’s hand.
“I’m glad I fell in love with you,” you murmured as the ending credits rolled. Lando stretched, shifting to shake off the stiffness of sitting on the couch for so long.
“Oh yeah?” He glanced down at you with a playful smirk. “What makes you say that?”
You leaned closer, resting your head against his chest. His warmth and the steady rhythm of his heartbeat felt like home. “Life would be so boring without you,” you said softly.
He chuckled, his arms lazily draping around you. “Well, I am pretty fun.”
“But also…” Your gaze flicked up to his face, taking a moment to admire the myriad of colors in his eyes. “You’re my best friend.”
His lips twitched into a grin. “Don’t let Max hear you say that, love. He might have a lot to say about you claiming his title.”
You scoffed, pulling away with mock indignation as he laughed. “Never mind. I take it all back,” you teased, standing to make your way to the kitchen for a snack.
But before you could take a step, Lando caught your wrist and tugged you back. You landed with a soft laugh in his lap, his arms wrapping securely around you from behind. He pressed a kiss to the back of your neck, the warmth of his lips sending a gentle shiver down your spine, before resting his chin on your shoulder.
“I don’t think I could’ve fallen this hard for anyone else,” he said, his voice low and filled with sincerity, “There’s no one else I’d rather love than you.”
You could feel his smile against your skin, and it made your heart swell.
“You’re my best friend, too,” he added, his words wrapping around you like a soft blanket.
You turned slightly to look at him, your smirk returning. “Don’t tell Fewtrell that. He might get sad.”
He laughed, the sound warm and genuine, filling the quiet of your apartment. The dim glow of the apartment lights cast long shadows, but neither of you paid them any mind. All that mattered was the comfort of being together, blanketed in a world that was just yours.
Silently, as you laid in his arms, you wished that things would never change.

always forever , vi (arcane) part two
a collection of (modern) domestic life activities with vi ! college au , modern au , self indulgent
part one , part two , part three, part four soon !
note : this one sucks lol , i literally made this at work a couple of days ago and didn’t have the willpower to write a new one. anyways, hope u guys like it !
drabble two : its mariah carey season
ꕀ flat mate vi ! who was ecstatic when you suggested to decorate the flat for christmas. she and her family are not religious at all, but christmas is something that they celebrate every year without fail.
ꕀ flat mate vi ! who went all out and spent around $500-$600 on christmas decorations and around $1000 for christmas gifts. (she bought like five different types of christmas lights, a 6 foot christmas three, and a lot of stuff she definitely didn’t need)
ꕀ flat mate vi ! who’d show off by carrying all the shopping bags in one go and would not let you help. “just doing my job shortcake,” she’d say as she opened the front door for you, her pinky visibly shaking as two heavy shopping bags hang off it.
ꕀ flat mate vi ! who’d stop to look and admire you as you two decorated the christmas three. she watched, as you strategically placed the blue, green, and red baubles in a pattern so that they’re even distributed. it’s been a couple of days since you two kissed, an unofficial confession to how the two of you felt for each other. after that night you’ve shared countless of kisses (and a little bit of heaving petting here and there). but you guys haven’t really addressed what you two are, if this is a start of a relationship or just something casual (her bet is on the former though).
ꕀ flat mate vi ! who excused herself and told you she needed to go to the washroom but in reality she just needed an excuse to sneak off and set-up a mistletoe under your door, her door, and the bathroom door.
ꕀ flat mate vi ! who basically barricaded the hallway to that leads to her and your room. she literally hung a white sheet in front of the hallway to hide what she’s planning.
“vi you’ve been there for two hours!” you whined, hand resting on your stomach. “i literally need to shit!”
vi popped her head out from behind the white sheet, “give me two minutes baby i’m almost finished.” she said then popped her head back in.
as much as you’d love to cuss out vi right now, you just couldn’t ignore the way your belly does flip flops the second she called you ‘baby’ (also the fact that it somehow made you no longer wanna shit).
approximately two minutes later vi popped her head out again, “close your eyes for me shortcake.” you sighed but closed your eyes anyways.
ꕀ flat mate vi ! who quietly turned off the light. she intertwined her fingers with yours as she held the white sheet open and leads you towards the hallway.
“okay shortcake, open your eyes.”
a gasp left your lips as you opened your eyes. the hallway was illuminated in nothing but white christmas lights hanging from the ceiling, it looked like something out of a pinterest board. personalized wreaths hung outside your rooms (yours had books, a guitar, and all your favorite little things. then vi’s had a hockey stick, a rugby ball, and a pair of boxing gloves).
“do you like it?” vi asked quietly.
you didn’t say anything, eyes still focused on the hallway.
“i-i can take it down if you-“
you cut her off by basically jumping into her arms, you wrapped around her in a tight hug burying your face in the crook of her neck.
“i love it,” you whispered against her skin. vi smiled down on you, her hands situated under your legs to support your weight.
ꕀ flat mate vi ! whose face you showered in kisses when you broke free from the hug.
a dopey smile played on vi’s lips as she leaned against your palm, eyes fluttered shut as your lips met hers. she sighed contently, her hands rest on your hips her as her thumb rub circles against your clothed skin.
vi has never felt so happy, so content. she felt as though her heart would burst from how hard it pounded against her chest.
“i love you,” she said. “i don’t know if it’s too early to tell you, but i love you. i have for a while now, and i understand if-“
you cut her off by shortly pressing your lips against hers. “i love you too, violet.”
ꕀ extra !
“oh. my. god.” powder exclaimed. she gripped her phone tightly, re-reading the text her sister sent her.
ekko raised an eyebrow at his girlfriend, placing his guitar in it’s stand before walking towards his bed and plopping down next to her. “everything alright pow?”
powder didn’t say anything, instead she shoved her phone in ekko’s face. it took him a second to read the text but judging by the photo vi sent powder, he already knew what was up.
“can’t believe it took them this long to be honest.”
“cut them some slack little man,” powder rolled her eyes playfully before shooting vi a quick text. “it’s not like you’re any better.” she teased which made ekko roll his eyes.
“yeah, yeah, whatever.” he replied, pressing a kiss to powder’s cheek.

OK FINE same anon with the fanfic ask XD Thank u for your amazing Epic animatics and your beloved and daniel animatics, just literally everything. I hope u enjoy this little snippet thing
Darius, he finds, is a man of perplexing mind, body, and spirit. The same man that coldly executes his traitors is the same man with tears in his eyes when Daniel emerges from the den, that hauls him into an embrace so crushing Daniel thinks he’ll go to God that day anyway.
Darius is not a fool, but he wields honesty and sincerity as sharp as a blade, never steps away from his convictions while also allowing room for redefinition. He tears down all of Daniel’s misgivings and years of disillusionment and pain, to make room for hope in a future.
Darius is not a perfect man. But to Daniel, he is a miracle.
One that gives him many headaches.
“How has no one ever told you how breathtakingly beautiful you are?”
And one that reminds him he is far, far too old for this.
The other facet of Darius that gives Daniel constant pause and constant rumination, is how he uses his emotions. He is neither detached from them nor a slave to them. He carries them openly, not worn as an armor or exposed as a weakness, but instead carried like a tool, honed finely to use for any conquest to the answers he seeks.
So yes, Daniel is aware that while Darius means this compliment, he is goading Daniel for a specific response.
Daniel clears his throat—ignores that Darius poorly hides a smile behind his hand—and fans out a roll of parchment to look over the records with the king.
“I know I say it often.” Darius tilts his head to rest it in his fist. “Yet you always deflect and hide away from it. I cannot tell if this is aversion or if no one has ever paid you due compliment for how radiant you are. If it’s the former, I shall stop. If it’s the latter, then I must continue to rectify this at all opportunities.”
Usually Daniel would deflect, though not when Darius calls him out on it. He’s long grown out of blushing. So he rubs at the tension between his brows with a sigh.
“Don’t make such flagrant assumptions with no evidence to back them, my king,” Daniel replies, with his most level advisory tone he can muster. “I was a young man once. You are not the first.”
He doesn’t know why he entertains this, but he does know it makes his heart race when Darius’s eyes light up with intrigue. Lord help him.
“Oh? Pray tell, who?”
Daniel rolls his eyes up and slowly counts to three. “Just about all the royal courts I’ve served when not trying to kill me.”
Darius’s brows predictably raise. He is quiet for a moment, schooling his reaction that Daniel wishes he would read. “I see.”
His mouth turns, a fine line of contemplation, and then asks, “Were there advances?
Of course there were. He wonders where this will go, if Darius will rear jealousy or pride over just how many have made a point to break Daniel down into his features and not his heart.
“Dare I answer that?”
Darius’s mouth tightens. “Was their reciprocity in those advances?”
No.
Daniel looks away. “I remember being summoned here for taxes, King Darius.”
Darius hums softly.
“I apologize for overstepping. I never intended to open old wounds.”
He is so disarming, his ability to reach past ever defense and seek Daniel exactly for what he is. His sheer strength and respect for another’s state of being will always rattle him to the core. Daniel looks back to him.
“It’s alright.”
Darius studies him, unwilling to break from their eye-contact and Daniel finds himself accidentally caught in the thousands of ruminations flickering in those warm eyes.
Darius sighs and straightens up. He leans across the table, palm fanning out of the parchment so that his fingertips brush the side of Daniel’s palm.
“As it stands,” Darius murmurs. “I did not know you as a young man. Has anyone ever told you how you shine now?”
Daniel’s cheeks heat before he can remind them he is not a teenager anymore.
“I don’t need flattery.”
“I’m not.” Darius leans down closer and Daniel shivers at the suddenness of their shared body heat. “I also have no intention of advances.”
Darius plucks the parchment from the desk, and steps away from his space. Like the pull of gravity Daniel nearly follows the impossible force of him as he retreats.
He peeks over the paperwork with a glint like a sheer devil. Daniel’s mouth twitches. He bites.
“These bones are not made for initiation anymore,” Daniel supplies, and Darius’s eyes squint up from behind the scroll with a clear grin.
“I find your tongue more than persuasive enough.”
Oh, the lions were easier to tame.

Rin Itoshi is many things.
Some people may point out how good a soccer player he is, others will comment that he is cold and unfriendly. If you ask him himself he will tell you that he is (probably) resentful and vengeful.
However to you, while many of these things are true (especially the part about him being cold), you will highlight how good of a listener he is, especially since he prefers to stay quiet while listening to you direct the conversation where you want it to go and how you want it to go, providing occasional monosyllables or some vibration that comes from his throat rather than his chest. He will make contributions to the conversation about his personal life or his day exclusively if you ask directly about it.
Although the last few weeks, he has been a bit more talkative than usual (that is, complete sentences without you having to ask him about his day first).
Rin is someone sweet, at least in his own way. His good listening makes him surprise you with details you're not expecting, like remembering important dates or little details of what you told in a babbling outburst that you barely remember now and you like him, you genuinely do. You're able to see through him, really see what's hidden in his chest behind those layers of hatred and rancor that hide pain and Rin hates it.
Among the long list of things he hates, is your way of being able to read him so easily. Recognizing why there are wrinkles on his forehead, his wrinkled nose or pursed lips. He dislikes how gentle you are when you approach him, you treat him with the same gentleness in which a butterfly would sit on a flower and that settles his stomach, tightens his gut and makes him feel sick; to the point where he claims he has a fever, it's not normal the way his whole body suddenly starts to burn, his forehead and ears, his neck and chest tight, along with sweaty palms.
He dislikes how nice you are to others when most don't deserve it and also how pretty you look when you wear those summer dresses because they make others look, when no one else should be able to admire how beautiful you are.
There are many things Rin detests about himself, his brother and certain parts of your personality, but never you, or your presence in his room late at night or your high, excited laughter that comes straight from your stomach. He could never hate you, not when you look at him like you do now, with dilated pupils and eyes full of genuine concern. He didn't remember what it was like to be treated like that, not at least not since he was a child.
“You didn't have to come see me.” Rin says it more out of concern —you are sick, after all— but he tries to sound nonchalant, ignoring the incessant drumming of his heart. His crossed arms rest against his chest as he leans his body weight against the wall.
“Of course I had to, it's your last game, I had to come give you your good luck gift,” you say, a smile etched into your words and with a voice heavy with a cold, you almost sound like you just woke up.
It's halftime, and Rin has slipped out of the locker room so he can see you in the semi-dark hallway. Even in the poor lighting, the earrings he gave you for your birthday sparkle with excitement, a nice touch that goes so well with your impish smile and the outfit you've chosen for him.
“Gift?” His greenish eyes go to yours after scanning (he hopes slyly) your figure.
“Hm.” You purr as you lean in a little closer, invading his personal space. You take his arm, freeing it from the shield that covered his ribs, to intertwine your fingers with his. That simple contact is enough for the dizziness and numbness to take hold of him again.
His fingers tighten under the heat of your touch. And when you lean in for a quick kiss, his whole body stiffens, his eyes open wider, unlike yours. You're so close he can feel your chest press against his, as your perfume envelops him with a familiar warmth. Your lips linger together for an instant, not deepening the kiss that seems to be the promise of something more.
You've been dating for a few weeks, though calling it “dating” is debatable. You're still in that unlabeled limbo where you're two friends holding hands, shopping together, going to the movies, and occasionally sharing a kiss. Sometimes you'd like to know what Rin is thinking….
“If you win you'll have more of these,” as you pull away from him you lick your bottom lip, still tasting him in your mouth.
…Especially at times like these, where his cheeks are so red from a simple touch, where he knows how to hide his nervousness so well and yet his face always gives it away.
His eyes drift to the end of the hallway, to where the light of the stadium devours the shadows. From there, the bustle of the stands comes muffled, almost drowned out by the buzz of adrenaline coursing through your body.
Rin pulls away, pushing aside the fingers you had grabbed and allowing them to return to their usual space, on his chest. Then he heads toward the locker room, perhaps to wipe off his sweat and get some water before returning to the field. Before disappearing completely, he stops to look at you. Your hands hang clasped together, and your smile —that smile that warms his body— seems to light up as if all the lights are on you.
“Watch me score the next goal for you.” Your smile widens, revealing your pearly teeth, and Rin wants to die right there. The next words he tries to say get stuck in his throat a couple of times, as if an invisible hand is squeezing his neck.
“You look beautiful,” he says, with a heated face. “But I'm still pissed that you're here while you're still sick.” And maybe, just maybe, those are the most romantic words you've heard from him in weeks.
You know how hard it is for Rin to open up and express how he feels. Even so, you're willing to wait for him until he's ready to admit what you both already know. In the meantime, you'll continue to relish every opportunity to make him blush or feel uncomfortable in the sweetest way possible.

hey yall mind if i practice my angst? no? well don't mind if i do....
simon riley x gn!reader, angst, i wrote this while listening to fireside by arctic monkeys, so listen to that
The rain hammered against the windows of your flat, drowning out the sound of your footsteps pacing the small living room. Simon stood by the door, soaked through, his black hoodie clinging to his broad frame, water pooling at his boots. His hair, dirty blonde and darkened by the rain, fell messily over his forehead, dripping onto the floor. He looked at you with that same unreadable expression he always wore—a mask, even now.
“You shouldn’t have come,” you said, voice tight, arms crossed over your chest as if it might shield you from what was coming.
“Had to,” he said simply, his voice low, rough. It wasn’t an excuse; it was just a fact, like the rain outside or the way he always had to have the last word.
You shook your head, biting back the lump rising in your throat. “Why, Simon? What could you possibly need from me that you don’t already have?”
He took a step forward, his boots squelching against the floor. He looked like he wanted to say something, but the words got caught somewhere between his throat and his pride.
“You don’t get to do this,” you snapped, your voice sharper than you intended. “You don’t get to show up here, looking like that, saying nothing, and expect me to just… what? Fall apart for you? Again?”
Simon’s jaw clenched, his shoulders rising slightly like he was bracing for impact. He always did that—closed himself off just enough to make you feel the distance. And yet, here he was.
“I don’ know how t'do this,” he said finally, his voice barely above a whisper.
“Do what, Simon?” you asked, stepping closer, your frustration boiling over. “Be honest? Let someone in? Or is it just me you can’t handle?”
He flinched at that, but his eyes never left yours. Those eyes—dark, stormy, always hiding more than they showed—locked onto yours with an intensity that made your chest ache.
“'M here, aren’t I?” he said, his voice rough, almost defensive.
“Barely,” you shot back. “You’re here, but you’re not. You’re in my life, but never really. You’ve lived in my heart so long, I don’t even know what it feels like to be without you, and it’s killing me.”
His shoulders sagged, and for a moment, you thought you saw something break in him—some piece of the armor he always wore. “'Never wanted t'hurt you,” he said, quieter now.
“But you do,” you whispered. “Every time you leave, every time you shut me out, you hurt me. And I let you. Because I keep thinking maybe this time, it’ll be different.”
The silence between you was deafening, broken only by the rain and the soft sound of your unsteady breaths. He looked down at the floor, his hands flexing at his sides like he didn’t know what to do with them.
“Maybe I should go,” he said finally, the words like a knife to your chest.
“Yeah,” you said, your voice trembling. “Maybe you should.”
He turned to leave, but then he stopped, his hand hovering over the doorknob. He didn’t look back when he said, “I wish I could be better f'you.”
You laughed bitterly, wiping at your eyes. “No, Simon. You just wish I didn’t want more than this. But I do. I deserve more.”
He nodded once, his shoulders stiff, and then he was gone, the door clicking shut behind him.
You stood there, staring at the door, the weight of his absence settling over you like a heavy blanket. You hated him in that moment—for his silence, for his distance, for the way he always left before you could even begin to put yourself back together.
The rain lingered long after Simon left, clinging to the air, clinging to you. You stayed by the door, staring at the spot where he had stood, the faint smell of cedarwood and cigarette smoke still lingering like a ghost in the room. It felt cruel how the world didn’t stop, how life kept moving while you stood frozen in the aftermath of him.
Simon Riley. He had been a hurricane in your life—silent, destructive, and devastatingly brief. Every time he walked away, he left pieces of himself behind, and you hated that you were the one who had to pick them up, to carry the weight he refused to bear.
The flat felt colder now, emptier, as if he had taken the warmth with him. You crossed the room, your fingers ghosting over the armrest of the couch where he used to sit, his legs spread wide, his head tilted back as if he could find peace in your living room when he couldn’t find it anywhere else.
There were nights when Simon spoke in his sleep. He never realized it, but you’d stay awake just to listen to the pieces he let slip—names, places, apologies that never made sense. It was the only time he ever truly let you in, and even then, it felt like stealing.
You sat on the couch now, wrapping your arms around yourself, staring at the coffee table where he used to rest his boots, always muttering something about how your flat was “too clean to feel like a real home.” His words had been teasing, but there was an ache in them too—a longing for something he couldn’t name.
The thing was, you knew he cared. In his own quiet, fractured way, Simon cared. It was in the way he lingered by your door like he didn’t want to leave but couldn’t stay. It was in the way his eyes softened when he looked at you, just for a second, before he caught himself. It was in the way he always came back, even though he knew it would hurt both of you.
But caring wasn’t enough. Not when his silence felt like a wall you couldn’t climb. Not when he held you at arm’s length even while standing close enough to touch.
You leaned back, your head hitting the cushion, and closed your eyes, willing yourself not to cry. But the tears came anyway, hot and bitter, slipping down your cheeks and pooling in the hollow of your throat.
Somewhere, Simon was probably walking in the rain, his hood pulled up, his hands stuffed in his pockets. He’d tell himself it was better this way, that leaving was the kindest thing he could do. He’d convince himself that you’d move on, that you’d be happier without him.
But he’d be wrong. Because he wasn’t just a part of your life. He was the center of it, the axis everything else revolved around. And now that he was gone, you didn’t know how to spin without him.
In the quiet of your flat, you thought about calling him, about saying all the things you never could when he was standing in front of you. But what would you even say? Come back? Stay? Love me the way I love you?
He wouldn’t. He couldn’t. And you were tired of breaking yourself trying to fix him.
Instead, you picked up your phone and deleted his number. It wasn’t enough to erase him from your life, but it was a start. Because if Simon Riley couldn’t choose you, then you had to choose yourself.
And yet, as you sat there, staring at the empty screen, you couldn’t help but wonder if he was out there thinking of you too, if he felt the same ache, the same hollow emptiness you felt.
But you’d never know. Because Simon Riley was a ghost. And ghosts always disappeared.

Hii
Can I request Rook and Azul with an S/O(reader) who really hates their real hair color so they dyed it to another color. The boys never seen their S/O with their original hair color but let's say they found a childhood photo of them and questions their S/O about it. Turns out they had the same hair color as their abusive father so they've dyed it to another when they turned into a pre-teen
Sorry if it's too much and confusing but if you ever do it thank you in advance!
Faded Colors
Warnings: bad writing, awful grammar, not proofread
A/N: See how productive I am (please don't throw your tomatoes at me I'm just a poor college student and November fucked me up bad). Presenting two characters I almost never write because they're...not my favorite.
Masterlist
"Is this you?"
Your heart almost stops beating when you saw what Azul was holding up—a yellowed Polaroid with a familiar child clad in a little black outfit. You sit beside your lover, leaning on his shoulder as you quietly trace over the picture.
"I didn't know your hair was dyed."
You know he won't judge you for it, and certainly not when he hears the reason. But right now, nothing leaves your lips. You freeze in place and nod. Azul nods with you.
You don't need to explain.
Not when he scoots closer to you and wraps his arms around you. You know he understands because he presses the softest kiss on your forehead and murmurs, "you look better with dyed hair."
He knows exactly what to say. Always.
"Shall I help you next time? My dear, would you like to emulate my hair color perhaps?"
At that, you let out a little laugh and nod again.
"Sure. If you can find a good box dye that matches it."
Today won't be the day you tell him about your shattered childhood, but eventually, you'll give him the pieces and let him glue you back together.
You don't need to tell Rook anything. If not because of... unconventional methods, he'll already have an inkling of your past and reasons just by watching you. The way you almost obsessively schedule your hair appointments, how you clam up when the topic turns to family history and your childhood, it's all an open book to him.
He is a hunter, after all. And you are his most precious proie.
It's Saturday.
You wake up in a daze, then panic. Every three weeks, you're supposed to get your roots touched up to avoid even catching a glimpse of your actual hair color, but you got so backed up by exams and projects and events that made it impossible to actually remember anything else. You can buy the dye today, you can still make it—
"Bonjour, mon amour. I come bearing gifts!"
The familiar dramatic greeting makes you jump back, clutching at your hair to desperately hide the fading dye at the roots, smiling awkwardly.
"Oh, Rook, love, I actually need to go out and buy something."
"These?"
He hands you a plastic bag with your usual supplies, pushing you back into your room. "Dépêchez-vous, I shall assist you in reaching your full potential of beauty!"

𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭
featuring. caitlyn kiramman x reader
warnings: only angsty and hurt, no comfort
synopsis: In which you and cait are friends with benefits and she decides that you aren’t worth it.
requested! by @trikalovski
There you stood in a room, as the cold air of Piltover’s rooftops seemed sharper than ever. The beautiful midnight sky cloaked in thick clouds, hiding the stars. Shadows twisted between the flickering lights below, the city’s tall spires casting an oppressive atmosphere. It was a world untouched by the grime and grit of the undercity, yet somehow, you felt even filthier here, wrapped in this strange, transient arrangement with Piltover’s prodigal daughter.
A small, hidden room on the upper floors of an old building became your meeting place, a secluded space to avoid curious eyes. Caitlyn liked it for its anonymity, far from the eyes of her colleagues and, more importantly, her family. The space was sparsely furnished, with only a worn couch and dim light filtering through cracked windows. Cold and utilitarian, just like her.
Tonight, you’d waited longer than usual, feeling the tension knotting in your stomach as each second passed. This wasn’t how you’d imagined it would feel; the anticipation gnawing at you was nothing like the excitement you once felt. When Caitlyn finally arrived, you barely heard her footsteps, but you knew from her sharp, purposeful stride that she was irritated. She walked in, her coat still on, eyes shadowed with fatigue and annoyance as they landed on you.
“You’re here,” she said flatly, as if it were an inconvenience.
“Yeah,” you replied, watching her carefully, feeling a strange mix of longing and bitterness coil inside you. For a moment, silence filled the room, and you could sense the weight of her exhaustion, the frustration simmering just beneath her cool exterior. There was something about her tonight that felt colder, more detached.
As she shrugged off her coat and tossed it on the couch, you decided you couldn’t keep quiet any longer. “Cait… we need to talk,” you said, your voice trembling despite your best efforts to sound calm.
She shot you a sharp glance, clearly annoyed, already reaching for the buttons on her cuffs as if eager to skip past whatever you were going to say. “Really? You want to do this now?” she asked, a hint of exasperation in her tone. “I’ve had a long day, and I’m not in the mood for whatever this is.”
You took a deep breath, bracing yourself. “I just… I need to know what this is to you. What I am to you,” you said, barely able to keep the vulnerability from showing.
Caitlyn’s gaze hardened, her hands pausing as she looked at you with a cool detachment that cut deeper than any words could. “What you are?” she repeated, almost mockingly. “I thought that was pretty clear from the start.”
Your heart sank as her words hit you with brutal clarity, but you forced yourself to press on. “I thought… maybe things had changed. That maybe this was something more than just… just a way to pass time.”
A bitter chuckle escaped her lips, and she shook her head. “You’re delusional if you thought this was more than what it is,” she replied bluntly. “You’re a distraction, something to take my mind off everything else. That’s all.”
Her words stung, each one landing like a knife twisting in your chest. You tried to hold back the emotions that were threatening to spill over, but the pain was raw and uncontainable. “So that’s it?” you managed, your voice barely above a whisper. “I’m just something to keep you entertained, something to make you forget about Vi, Jinx and the damn war?”
“Yes,” she replied coldly, not a trace of remorse in her tone. “If that bothers you, you’re free to leave. No one’s forcing you to stay.” Her callousness was shocking, but you could feel the tears pricking at the corners of your eyes, the anger and hurt bubbling up until you couldn’t contain it any longer. “I thought you cared,” you said, hating how desperate you sounded, hating how vulnerable she’d made you feel.
Caitlyn crossed her arms, a faint sneer on her lips as she looked at you with a mixture of irritation and pity. “Feelings are a luxury I can’t afford right now,” she said, her voice dripping with disdain. “I have responsibilities, a city to protect. You think I have time for… romance? For whatever it is you think this was?”
The coldness in her words, the absolute dismissal of everything you’d felt for her, was more than you could bear. “Then why keep coming back to me? Why use me like this if I mean nothing to you?” you demanded, a spark of anger igniting in your chest despite the heartache.
“Because you’re convenient,” she replied bluntly, her words like a slap to the face. “Because you don’t ask questions, or at least I thought you didn’t.” She took a step closer, her gaze piercing, unapologetic. “And because if you don’t want this, there are plenty of others who would.”
The finality in her words hit you like a blow, and the anger drained away, leaving only a hollow ache in its place. She was willing to replace you with no hesitation or remorse. Just a cold, unfeeling practicality that made it clear just how little you’d ever meant to her.
“So that’s it then?” you asked, your voice barely a whisper, your hands clenched at your sides to stop them from trembling. “You’d throw me away like I’m nothing?”
“If that’s what it takes,” Caitlyn replied without hesitation, her gaze steady and unforgiving. “I don’t have time for drama, for emotional attachments that complicate things. If you want more, you’re in the wrong place.”
You swallowed hard, feeling a tear slip down your cheek despite your best efforts to hold it back. “I thought… I thought maybe you felt something for me,” you admitted, your voice breaking slightly.
She scoffed, shaking her head as if your words were an inconvenience. “Feel something? I told you from the beginning what this was. If you decided to make it something more, that’s your problem, not mine.”
You felt your heart shatter at the casual cruelty in her voice, the complete lack of empathy or care. She didn’t care about you, and she never had. You’d been nothing more than a means to an end, a distraction she could discard whenever it suited her. Taking a shaky breath, you nodded, swallowing the pain as best you could. “Fine,” you said quietly, barely able to keep the bitterness from seeping into your voice. “If that’s all I am to you… then I’ll leave.”
“Good,” she replied curtly, turning away without a second thought, as if you were already gone. “It’s for the best.”
You hesitated, feeling the sting of her words, the finality of her dismissal. She didn’t look back, didn’t offer any parting words or a hint of regret. She simply walked away, her focus already elsewhere, leaving you standing alone in the cold, empty room that had once felt like a place of refuge. As you walked out, you felt the weight of every unspoken word, every shattered hope. Caitlyn had used you, and she hadn’t cared. The realization hit like a punch to the gut, leaving you feeling hollow, betrayed, and utterly alone. And as you stepped back into the shadows, the familiar bitterness of the undercity swallowed you whole, the echoes of her callous words lingering long after you’d left her world behind.

—(I can't think of a title)
W/C: Idk 1k+
Pairing: Daisuke x GN! Reader
Warnings: nune.
A/N: MY POOKIE GAVE ME A PROMPT SO I WROTE IT,, SAW @freakyydaisukee POST, LUCKY I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF WRITING THIS LOL.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・°❀⋆.ೃ
Daisuke had always been one to find excitement in everything. Whether it was the smallest detail of a passing cloud or the newest trend everyone at school was trying to follow, he could always find something to be enthusiastic about. It was just who he was. And it was something that people admired about him—his unrelenting optimism, his constant enthusiasm for life.
But of all the things Daisuke had ever been excited about, there was one person who stood out from the rest.
You.
From the moment he first laid eyes on you in the hallway of their high school, he knew there was something special about you. You weren't like everyone else.. Daisuke admired everything about you. You were pretty smart, funny, made a few friends, and were pretty attractive too. It made Daisuke feel like he could conquer anything, just because he’d seen you smile.
As the years went by, Daisuke found himself drawn to you more and more. He would always try to sit near you in class, though he never had the courage to speak to you outside of group projects or class assignments. His friends always teased him about it, but he didn’t mind. They didn’t understand. His feelings for you weren’t something as simple as a crush—they were a quiet, constant thing that swelled within him each time he saw you.
He would watch you interact with your friends, and he’d wonder if you noticed him at all. Did you know how much he admired you? Did you ever catch his gaze from across the room? Did you ever wonder why he always had that excited smile on his face whenever you were around?
But Daisuke was terrified. High school was the time when everyone was either figuring out who they were or hiding who they were, and Daisuke knew that his feelings for you were something he couldn’t quite put into words. What if he confessed and ruined everything? What if you didn’t feel the same?
So he kept quiet. For years.
And every time he saw you leave school with your friends, he felt his heart sink, knowing that his chance might be slipping away.
--
Graduation came faster than Daisuke had expected. It was a bittersweet moment for him. Everyone was so excited about what came next, about the future that awaited them. He’d felt the same way, once, but now it just felt hollow. The future was full of uncertainty for Daisuke. Sure, he was going to follow in his parents' footsteps and become a mechanic—just like they wanted. But it wasn’t the future that excited him. The future that excited him was the one where he could finally tell you how he felt.
But that opportunity never came. Graduation was a blur of ceremonies, farewell parties, and promises to stay in touch. And you—well, you were already gone. You had plans. Your future seemed set. And Daisuke was left wondering if he would ever get the chance to confess his feelings to you, or if you would just fade into the background of his life like so many people did.
He didn’t know what happened to you after graduation. You disappeared into the vast world, as far as he was concerned. And as time passed, Daisuke told himself that he needed to move on. He needed to focus on his job, on making his parents proud. Maybe he wasn’t supposed to have a grand love story, after all.
--
Two years later, Daisuke found himself on the Tulpar—a spaceship that was about to embark on a long-term mission to ship whatever was in the boxes they couldn't touch or see. His parents looked for a while to find a job that he could do, and when the opportunity to work on a high-end spaceship as a mechanic opened up, they nudged him toward it. He wasn’t exactly thrilled, but he figured it was the right thing to do. It wasn’t the adventure he’d hoped for, but it was steady work. And steady work meant stability.
--
The day of the ship's space launch. He was accepted last minute as an intern but he could care less. He was pretty nervous though, the thought of being in the middle of space for a year is kinda scary for him.
He was just minding his own business before someone crept up to him.
"O-M-G!!," The person exclaimed.
Daisuke froze mid-sentence as he turned toward the voice. His heart skipped a beat.
Standing there, in her flight suit with a clipboard in hand, was you.
It took him a second to process. You. You were standing right in front of him. His mind spun with disbelief and excitement.
"Wait—what?" he blurted out, still in shock.
You raised an eyebrow at him, half-smiling, but there was something about it that felt more genuine, more knowing. "Surprised? Anyways, how have you been... uh... Daisuke correct? We went to the same high school together!" you say excitedly.
"You—you're... you're planning on working on the Tulpar too?" Daisuke asked, the words tumbling out.
You nodded, your eyes scanning the room before they landed back on him. "Yeah. I didn’t know you were here too."
Daisuke's excitement was barely contained. After all these years of admiring you from afar, here you were. In the flesh. On the same ship. And now he had a chance to talk to you—really talk to you.
“I—yeah, I’ve been here for a while.” Daisuke couldn’t stop smiling. “It’s... kind of crazy that we’re both here. You know? I always wondered what happened to you after graduation. I didn’t expect to see you again.”
You smiled softly at that. “I guess we both ended up on the same path, huh?”
He nodded, though his brain was still struggling to keep up. You—here, on the Tulpar, working alongside him. It felt like a dream.
“I never thought I’d be working on a spaceship,” you continued, leaning against the wall as you casually chatted. “I didn’t even think you would, either. But... here we are.”
For the first time in years, Daisuke allowed himself to feel the weight of his excitement. There was a universe of possibilities in front of him now. You were here, and maybe—just maybe—he could find a way to confess the feelings he’d kept hidden for so long.
--
“So... what do you think of the ship so far?” he asked, trying to regain his composure.
You laughed lightly. "It's impressive. But I'm sure you've seen much more than I have. You've been here longer."
“Yeah,” Daisuke said, a gleam in his eye. “But if you want, we could look around together. Maybe help you an I get more comfortable?”
You smiled again, this time in that quiet way that always made Daisuke’s heart race. “I’d like that.”
As the days passed, Daisuke found himself spending more and more time with you. He was thrilled to just be near you, but this time, he didn’t have to hide behind the walls he’d built in high school. He could be himself, and you were there to see it. Slowly, Daisuke began to open up, sharing stories, laughing together, and finding joy in the little moments. And all the while, his feelings for you grew stronger, more real.
Maybe, just maybe, the universe had led him to this moment for a reason.
--
One evening, after a long shift, Daisuke found you just sitting in the couch, the dim lights of the ship casting a soft glow on your face.
"Hey," he said softly, walking up to you. His heart pounded. He didn’t know if he’d ever have the courage to say it, but right now, in this quiet moment, he felt like he could.
“Hey, Daisuke.” You smiled up at him, looking tired but content.
"Look... I don't know how to say this, but I've wanted to say it for a long time. I—" His voice cracked slightly as he struggled to find the words.
You watched him intently, your expression calm, understanding. "What is it?"
"I think... I think I’ve liked you for a long time. Ever since high school," Daisuke blurted out, his face turning red as he stumbled over the words. "I don’t know why I never told you, but... I think I just... really like you."
For a moment, there was silence. Daisuke’s heart raced, waiting for your response, unsure of what would come next.
You stepped closer, your smile widening. “Hehe... I’ve always known,” you said softly with a cheeky grin, and Daisuke’s heart nearly stopped.
“I’m glad you’re here, Daisuke,” you continued, taking his hand in yours. “I’m glad we’re both here.”
And with that, in the endless stretch of space, surrounded by stars, Daisuke realized that sometimes, life’s most beautiful surprises came when you least expected them.

never let me go | ruben dias
💐 synopsis: As a newlywed couple, you and Ruben are deeply in love and spend an intimate emotional night together in a coastal villa. tags: honeymoon night, smut but make it cute and passionate (written in 2nd person but no mention of yn) | (around 3k words)
The bedroom door creaks open, and you step inside, still holding the hem of your dress to keep it from brushing against the floor. The room looks like it’s been waiting for you both all night. The villa is quiet except for the waves. You can hear them breaking against the rocks below, a steady rhythm that feels like it’s syncing with your heartbeat. The air smells of salt and the faintest trace of citrus from the grove you passed on your way in.
Behind you, Ruben steps in shutting the door behind him with a soft click. He’s loosened his tie, his white shirt slightly wrinkled from hours of hugs and laughter and dancing at the wedding party, but somehow, he still looks immaculate. Just the sight of him is enough to send a wave of warmth through you, the kind that starts low in your stomach and spreads all the way to your fingertips.
You turn to say something – maybe a joke about how exhausted you are from dancing, or how your cheeks still ache from smiling too much – but before the words can form, he’s already closing the space between you.
“Wait,” he says, his voice teasing as his hands settle on your waist. In one swift motion, he lifts you off the floor. You let out a startled laugh, your arms flying around his neck.
“Ruben!”
“I’ve always wanted to do this,” he says, his smile widening as he steadies you in his arms.
His fingers shift slightly, holding you tighter. Then he leans in closer, his forehead almost touching yours, and his voice softens.
“With my beautiful wife.”
The words hit you square in the chest, and you’re not sure how to hold all of it – the tenderness, the certainty, the love. Your grip on him tightens instinctively, your fingertips brushing against the warm nape of his neck.
“Your wife,” you repeat, almost testing the weight of the words, and they come out so quiet they barely make it past your lips. But he hears them. Of course he hears them. “That still feels weird to say.”
“Get used to it,” he says, then he leans in, his lips brushing against your ear. “You’re mine now.”
You roll your eyes playfully. “I’ve been yours long before today, Ruben.”
He tilts his head back slightly, a playful gleam in his eyes. “True.” He pauses. “But now I get to say it officially.”
“Officially, huh?” you tease. “I think you’re just excited about the title.”
“I mean, it’s a pretty good title,” he says, his voice low and thoughtful, as though he's seriously considering the weight of the word. “Wife has a nice ring to it.”
You laugh, rolling your eyes playfully. “You’re ridiculous.” But the smile spreading across your face betrays you, and the entire moment feels too perfect to be real. It’s like you’re floating, suspended in this bubble of joy that you never want to break.
Ruben leans in again, this time pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, his lips lingering just long enough to send a flutter through your chest. “I’m just happy,” he says quietly.
“I know.” You rest your head against his chest, the sound of his heartbeat matching the rhythm of the waves outside. The sound is calming, familiar, grounding you in this moment, but inside, your heart feels like it’s ready to burst from the sheer intensity of everything you’re feeling. You want to hold on to this, to him, forever.
“I’m happy too,” you add, your fingers tracing small, absentminded patterns along his shirt. The words feel too small to describe everything that’s swelling inside of you – the love, the yearning, the certainty of him being everything you ever needed.
He tightens his arms around you, his hand resting on the back of your neck, and you feel the warmth of his palm against your skin. You look up at him, eyes meeting his with a hunger that neither of you can hide.
“You’re so beautiful,” he says, the words rough, full of a hunger that sends a heat through you that has nothing to do with the warmth of the room. He leans in, his lips catching yours in a kiss that’s deep, urgent, filled with all the things you’ve been trying to hold back all night.
Your hands slide down his chest, pulling at the fabric of his shirt as you arch against him, feeling the heat of his body pressing into yours. The kiss breaks for a moment, both of you gasping for air, and his forehead rests against yours, breaths mingling as the room spins.
“I need you,” he says, his voice thick with desire. His hands slide down your back, pulling you closer, the space between you shrinking as if the two of you can’t get close enough. You feel the rush of his breath against your skin, the desperation in his touch making your pulse race.
“Then take me,” you whisper, your voice barely audible but charged with everything you want. His eyes darken and in one smooth motion, he lays you gently on the bed.
Ruben hovers over you, his eyes roaming your face as if he’s memorizing every detail. “You have no idea how much I want you,” he says, his voice even rougher now, but still filled with the same adoration that makes your chest tighten with affection.
You tilt your head back, your hair spilling across the pillows, and reach for him again, your hands grasping at the fabric of his shirt, pulling him down to you. You need him just as much, feel the ache of it in every inch of your skin, every beat of your heart.
And then he’s kissing you again, deeper this time, the desperation in his touch matching your own. His body presses against yours, hot and heavy, and you can feel the way he’s trying to keep control, but you can also feel the way he’s unraveling beneath your touch. You pull him closer, your hands sliding underneath his shirt to feel the warmth of his skin against yours.
Ruben pulls back for a second, and his hands move to the zipper of your dress. His fingers are clumsy, a bit too eager, fumbling with the fabric like it’s something he’s never seen before.
"Hold on," he mutters, trying again, but the zipper doesn’t budge. You can't help but laugh softly, a little nervous giggle that catches him off guard.
"You okay?" he asks, his brow furrowed in concentration, his hands still working on the zipper.
"Yeah," you chuckle, lifting your arms so he has more room. "You’re gonna have to work for this, huh?"
He laughs too, shaking his head. "Apparently, yes." His face softens with a smile. He gives up on the zipper and moves his hands to the straps, trying to slide them off your shoulders, but the dress won’t cooperate. The whole thing is tangled now, your arms awkwardly raised, your whole body stuck in this massive, elegant piece of fabric.
You both sit there, slightly breathless. Ruben shifts on the bed, leaning back with a deep sigh and letting out a laugh that sounds more from disbelief than frustration.
“Okay,” he says, voice breaking with a half-laugh. “This is ridiculous.”
You lean back against the bed, unable to hold back your laughter anymore. “I told you it was complicated.”
He shrugs with a grin.
You sit up, trying to find a way to untangle the mess of fabric, and he watches you for a second, both of you smiling at how absurd the whole situation is. The tension that was there a few minutes ago has eased, replaced by an ease that only comes when you're with someone you trust.
After a few more moments of playful struggling, Ruben finally manages to slip the dress off your body with a triumphant sigh, leaving you in nothing but the delicate white lingerie you’d bought specifically for tonight.
You sit up, feeling exposed but free, and Ruben takes a moment to just look at you. His eyes are full of admiration, as if he can’t quite believe that you’re here with him, in this moment. There’s no rush in the way he looks at you, just pure, unfiltered affection.
"God," he murmurs, almost to himself, a slight awe in his voice. "You’re perfect."
You feel the heat rise in your chest, the flutters in your stomach, but it's not nerves or embarrassment this time. It’s love – love that feels so big it could swallow you whole, but in the best way. Ruben reaches for you, his hands gently cupping your face as he leans in, pressing a slow kiss to your lips.
When he pulls back, he looks at you for a long moment, his forehead resting against yours. "I don’t want to rush this," he whispers. "I want to remember every moment of tonight."
You nod, your breath hitching. Ruben’s hands are gentle, almost reverent, as they move over every inch of you, he’s not rushing – every touch, every kiss, every bite, it all feels like he’s savoring you. His lips finding every spot that makes you shiver, his teeth grazing over your skin like he’s marking you, claiming you in the most tender way possible.
His lips trace the curve of your neck, and then his teeth nip just below your ear. You gasp, your body involuntarily arching into him, but he doesn’t hurry. He moves lower, his lips finding the soft, sensitive skin of your collarbone, then your shoulder, trailing kisses all the way down your arm. When he bites lightly on the inside of your elbow, you can’t suppress the moan that escapes you, the sensation tightening everything inside of you.
He’s taking his time with every inch of your body, moving from one part of you to the next, his lips leaving behind a trail of heat in their wake. Your skin feels on fire, the sensation of him against you so intoxicating that it’s nearly impossible to focus on anything else. Your breath comes faster, your heart pounding in your chest, and despite the way his touch makes you feel completely undone, you can’t help but want more. You need more.
“Ruben…” you murmur, barely able to catch your breath. Your voice cracks with the desperation you feel deep inside, your body pulsing with the need for him. “Please…”
He pauses for a moment, looking up at you with that same adoring, almost possessive gaze. His lips are swollen, his chest rising and falling just as rapidly as yours. But he doesn’t speak. He just studies you, the desire in his eyes nearly suffocating in its intensity. And then his mouth returns to your skin, moving lower, his lips kissing, biting, teasing, marking every inch of your body as if he’s trying to make it impossible for you to ever forget this moment.
You bite your lip, trying to hold it together, but it’s becoming unbearable, the longing inside you too powerful to ignore. “Ruben,” you beg again, your voice full of want. “Please… take your clothes off.”
The heat is building so quickly between you both that you can’t hold back anymore. He doesn’t need any more encouragement. Ruben moves quickly, almost impatiently now, but still with that careful tenderness. He unbuttons his shirt, tossing it aside without breaking his eyes from you.
He stands over you for a second, his body in front of you like it’s the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen. The smooth lines of his chest, the way his muscles shift as he moves, it’s enough to make your breath hitch again. His eyes flicker to yours, and then his hands are at the waistband of his pants, swiftly unbuttoning them. The anticipation, the waiting, makes your chest tighten with excitement, and your heart races as he steps out of his pants, leaving him standing in only his boxers.
Then Ruben leans down over you, his hands on either side of your face, his lips brushing over yours in the softest kiss. But it’s not enough. Not anymore. His hands slide down to your waist, the desire in his eyes is like fire, and you know he’s feeling it just as much as you are – burning with it, aching for it. You can’t stand the waiting anymore.
“Please…” you whisper, your voice trembling with the need that’s been building since he first touched you. “I can’t wait anymore.”
Ruben doesn’t need any more words. His mouth finds yours again in a kiss so full of hunger and longing, it’s like he’s trying to devour you, to take in every part of you.
His fingers rest at the edge of your mouth before gently slipping two of them inside, grazing your tongue in slow, deliberate circles.
“Is this what you want?” he asks, his voice shaken, but still trying to sound calm, controlled.
You can’t answer immediately, not with his fingers pressing against your lips, so you shake your head instead.
He chuckles softly, that familiar teasing smile tugging at his lips. “I thought you wanted to feel me inside of you, amor.”
Your heart races in your chest as he tilts his head, still smiling, before slowly pulling his fingers from your mouth. His touch lingers for a moment, then he lowers his hand.
“Okay, I’ve got a better idea. Let’s put them somewhere else,” he says, his voice low with intent.
He takes your hand, guiding it to help him, though you both know he doesn’t really need it. He’s still teasing you. He gently moves your underwear aside, pushing those two fingers, now dripping wet with your spit, inside of your cunt. His touch is slow, in-and-out, and you can’t help but shiver at the feeling of him finally as close as you want him, as you need him to be.
“Better now?” he asks, pride in his voice as he watches your reaction, a satisfied smile playing at the corners of his lips.
You nod, unable to hide the warmth building inside you. “Better,” you whisper.
His other hand, gentle, caresses the side of your face, his thumb brushing across your cheek – and then he kisses you. His mouth is warm and comforting against yours, you pull him a little closer, needing the warmth of him, the closeness, and he responds, his body pressing against yours as if to reassure you that he’s there, that he’s not going anywhere.
His free hand moves to your breasts, tracing your nipples, and you let out a soft sigh against his lips. For a long moment, you stay like that – wrapped up in each other, his hands all over you, inside of you.
The kiss deepens, and the tension between you builds, quiet but undeniable. You can’t help it. You’re burning for him, every inch of your body craving his touch. “Ruben,” you breathe against his lips, voice thick with impatience. You want him, need him, and you can’t wait anymore.
He pulls back just slightly, his forehead resting against yours, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Patience," he murmurs.
You shake your head, frustration mixing with desire. “I can’t. Please...” The words barely make it out before you’re kissing him again, harder this time, desperate for more.
The layers of clothes still left between you seem to vanish, almost without thought. It’s frantic but tender, your undergarments are now tangled up in the bedsheet, forgotten as you both move with a desperation that matches the intensity of the kiss. His body is pressed against yours again, both of you shivering, not from the cold, but from the need, the desire.
There’s a quiet moment when everything slows, and Ruben finally enters you, right when the rush of your heartbeats begins to sync with his. You’re finally with him in every way you’ve wanted all night. The space between you is gone, and you feel the weight of his cock settle deep in you, like everything is exactly where it should be. His hands trace the curves of your body, holding you close, and you can’t help but feel a deep, overwhelming sense of fulfillment.
It’s not just the closeness, it’s knowing you’ve reached this place with him, that all the moments leading up to this have led to this perfect connection. The feeling of being his, of being his wife, settles over you in a way you can’t quite explain, but it feels like the missing piece of something you’ve been looking for your entire life.
The sweat on your skin feels... beautiful. It’s a sign of how deeply you’ve shared this moment. The heat of it doesn’t make you want to pull away – it makes you want to stay wrapped up in it, in him.
You can feel your pulse under his touch, the rise and fall of his breath against your neck, and everything feels so perfect, so right. This is what you always wanted, and it fills you up, leaving no room for anything else.
You feel whole in a way you never have before, like you’ve become the person you were always meant to be – his wife, his partner.
You move together in a rhythm that feels both slow and urgent, there’s a shared intensity between you both, a connection so deep that it feels like you’re no longer two separate people, but a single, intertwined whole. The world outside the villa fades to nothing as you lose yourselves in the moment.
His touch, gentle but firm, holds you closer, guiding you as you respond to him, the tension building, slow and steady. The way his lips brush against your skin, his breath quickening as you do the same, it all pulls you deeper into this shared space, where only the two of you exist.
Your bodies are a tangled mess of warmth and movement, a perfect harmony of wanting and giving, and you both reach the peak together. When it happens, it’s loud, the culmination of everything you’ve shared. Your heart races, and his matches the pace of yours, as you feel everything around you blur. His arms tighten around you, and you bury your face against him, trying to hold on to the moment, the feeling of being so completely and utterly present with him.

Ok it's neither romantic nor spicy, but in my opinion it's worth listening to, okay?
Geta has anger issues, Caracalla also has the disease...they need a support sister and we need an angst scenario. (just to be clear again, it's PLATONIC, okay? Okay)
tw: caracalla and his madness, toxic way of showing affection towards family
Geta:
We all know that even though Geta shows off his coolness and chillness, he has a fragile psyche like Caracalla, you see it when he throws wine in his brother's face, or when he yells at Acacius, or the terror he feels when he sees Rome in revolt.
So I imagine him going to his sister, the only bastion of light in that darkness, in that chaos; You are in your rooms when you hear Geta shouting your name, then suddenly enters in the throes of a nervous breakdown. Dropping whatever you were doing, you advance towards him but not before miraculously dodging the crown that the young emperor threw after putting his hands in his ginger hair.
In the room only his angry voice could be heard, the servants had all disappeared while he was spewing out words about how he could not handle Caracalla, the senate and "And the people...they're ungrateful and demanding. It's like they expect me to fix everything for them without lifting a finger."
Of course it was always the people and not him you thought sarcastically, knowing the story very well by heart, but now it didn't matter, as much as you hated your brother's cruelty, you had always felt pity for him and Caracalla. And you simply sat on the bed, calling him in a calm voice to you, like a mother would do.
In an instant the emperor whom everyone feared was on his knees, clutching the fabric of your stole with possessive force, his face pressed against your thighs; a caress in your hair was enough to feel a shaky sigh and then a sniff, while Geta bit his tongue bloody so as not to cry in front of his dear sister, the only thing he truly cared about...
"Geta..." you tried to say, but he interrupted you. "No, don't talk, stay here, with me..." He didn't want to make a fuss, he needed silence and to feel your warmth, your closeness.
"...if I lost you too, sister..." he said taking your hand and kissing the back of it, hiding it under his face "...I would burn every inch of Rome and myself with it". Atrocious words, enough to make anyone shudder, yet in that sea of putrid hatred, there was something corrupt that in its own way was love... a desperate redemption, too late.
"Never abandon me, never leave my side..." he said after raising his head towards you, black makeup running under his lower eyelids "Swear to me" and with your heart torn between the guilt of a lie and a loving smile you said: "On my life, dear brother".
Caracalla:
It had all happened so quickly, a fight between two brothers and then Geta threw the wine in Caracalla's face, bitterly regretting it soon after. You ran after your brother, before Macrinus could catch up. The man was a complete stranger, an unnecessary addition to your pile of problems, he had no interest in the empire, just stick your three heads on a pike.
"Caracalla..." Your voice echoed through the room that seemed desolate, until you heard the high-pitched verses of the monkey Dondus. You sighed tiredly, mentally exhausted, your mind took a leap back in time, when life was easier and illness had not taken Caracalla away; The nurses had taught you a nursery rhyme, and you two always sang it when one of you lost his way...
"Five little ducks went out one day..." you hummed, but Caracalla didn't answer, however you saw the little monkey scurry away from under the table, you knew he was under there "...Over the hill and far away..."
You slowly approached the table, but still no response, until a shaky voice said, "Mother duck said, 'Quack, quack, quack, quack'..." and a small smile appeared on your face, before you crouched down and found your brother lying on his side under the table.
His blue eyes were filled with tears, his face looked like that of a lost child and not that of a young man in command, your heart tightened, and the anger for a moment was replaced with so much sadness.
"...But only four little ducks came back" you finished the song looking at him with eyes full of compassion, kneeling on the floor. "My sweet brother...come out, do you recognize me, yes?"
There was another moment of silence broken by a sob from Caracalla who crawled towards you, and curling up again towards your lap burst into tears again like a child.
Your heart tightened with anger and sadness, you hated him; you blamed him because he had always been weak, even before his illness, he spent his days with whores and various luxury, while the blood of conquered peoples stained the soldiers' blades, leaving only sand and ashes on barren lands to govern; You hated him because it was his and Geta's job to protect you, and instead it was you who picked up their pieces every time, or you could barely keep them away from vultures like Macrinus. You were tired, it wasn't fair, you hadn't done anything wrong, and yet...and yet, your mother had shaped you between blood and empathy, and even though you hated those two, you couldn't stop loving them.
"I'm gonna kill him" you woke up from your thoughts when you felt Caracalla tightening your clothes and gnashing his teeth "He thinks I'm weak, he wants to take everything away from me...even you, isn't that right?"
"What?" you asked, but before you could react, you found yourself lying on the ground, your brother's hands on your neck, an iron grip. "Caracal--!" you gasped, your nails digging into the pale flesh of his arms.
"I see you, you know? I see you hidden in the shadows, with those ears always ready to eavesdrop... do you think I can't hear you at night, walking aimlessly who knows where" Caracalla continued to accuse you, barking out his repressed anger from his lungs. It was the disease talking, but he still kept his sharp tongue "You went to his chambers, aren't you? To Geta! You're going to be a co-conspirator, you want to kill me, aren't you?! Traitors!"
"Caracalla--!" you shouted, giving him a desperate slap to the arm, which destabilized him for a moment "Break the spell!" that was the phrase that you and Geta used to bring him back to his senses "I'm your sister and I love you.. please, don't go where I can't reach you" you said bursting into tears scared and exhausted...exhausted of all this, exhausted of fighting.
Caracalla seemed to come to his senses and, opening his blue eyes wide, looked at his trembling palms, the same hands that were suffocating his sister... he had hurt his sister. "Sister...?" he fell to his knees in defeat "N-no, no no no! Forgive me...I'm sorry I'm sorry... I'm so sorry" he said before your arms wrapped around him in an almost suffocating embrace.
"I'm here..." you replied in a tired tone "Breathe, follow my heart, everything will be okay, brother..."
There was no lie in the world more cruel than this...

Love Espresso
Chapter four: Hide & Seek
Synopsis: after her breakup with Rafe and him kicking her out. Her best friend offers her a new job and a place to stay. But when Rafe comes back from Morocco. He realizes he’d made a grave mistake. Will Sofia go back to him? Or will she decide that her new life means more to her than him?
Authors note: my obsession with tj maax will transcend into my fics 🙂↕️
Yo te cuido y tú me cuida, nena
Rafe could feel Sarah’s eyes as she watched him. He’d let Sarah and John b settle into his house. Until they got “their shit sorted.” As he would put it. —Wheezie lived with him permanently, they’d managed to get her free from Rose’s grasp. Wheezie was currently in school, so he was stuck with Sarah and John b.
“Rafe?” Sarah asked, Rafe glanced up at his sister. He was about to take a sip of his gin.
“Yes? You’ve been staring at me for like five minutes. Out with it.” Finally taking a sip of his gin, it burned his throat just the way he liked it.
“I think you should talk to Sofia.” It slips out of Sarah’s lips quickly, like she’d had them yank out like teeth.
“Don’t you think I know that?” Rafe says, clinching the glass like a vice. His heart was hurting, he hadn’t slept properly in days. At first, when he’d found out what Sofia did. He’d been angry beyond belief. But once it had subsided. The horror of what he did came to bite his ass.
On one hand, he was still angry she was apart of the reason why he was scammed 400k. But he also eventually got all that money back. The other, he knew her too well. He knew she wouldn’t have done something like this unless provoked. So what had he done for her to do this to him?
“I can see it’s eating away at you, Rafe. You’re upsetting me and my unborn child.” Sarah rubs at her belly, Rafe knows she’s joking but he still rolls his eyes.
“My bad, my mopping can be felt by a unborn baby. You hear that! Uncle Rafe is a fuck up!”
Rafes mini outburst manages to spawn John b.
“Hey now, no curse words around the baby.” He says, pointing at Rafe. Rafe puts his hands up in surrender.
“My fault…” Rafe lets out a sigh, Sarah gives her brother a sad smile.
“You don’t have to beat yourself up for it, Rafe.” John b stood in the hallway, confusion spelled across his face.
“Uh, so I—.” John b quickly walks off, not trying to pry in Rafes business. Rafe scratched his arm, sitting his gin down.
“I just—I don’t know if she’ll let me back in. I know her, okay Sarah. I know she wouldn’t do something like this unless…” He runs his finger around his glass of gin. “Unless I did something.” He mumbles.
“Then make it right. Do good by her. Find out the truth. You owe it to yourself and her.”
A part of Rafe can’t believe there was a time where Sarah wasn’t in his life. How different, things could have been. He finally nods.
“You’re right, I just need to find her and talk to her.” Sarah gives him an encouraging smile.
Sofia grabs one of her pink glasses; she’s brought from tj maax. She drank from the straw, her eyes watching the tv. Tonight, was her day off. From both her receptionist job and at Cozy Corner Brews. She sighed, Liliana entered the room. A plate in her hands.
“I’m nervous, do you think Jackie has it all handled?” Liliana says, placing the plate on the coffee table.
“She had a notepad full of things she was ready to do. I think your shop is in good hands, babes.” Sofia says, moving so Liliana had space.
“I know but I just don’t want her to feel all this pressure to make it perfect.” Liliana says, biting her nails. “Plus “Love Espresso” has been successful and what if someone wants it. Like really bad and Jackie tells them they can’t have it and—
Sofia puts a hand on her friend’s shoulder. “I think you’re overthinking this. It’ll be fine. She just needs to take it off the menu and it should be fine. Jackie is a smart and competent girl. She’s got this.”
Liliana slacks a bit, breathing out air. She begins to nod.
“Yeah, you’re right. This is just the first day I’m not closing the store. I just hope it’s not too much.” Liliana says. Sofia nods along to her friends words.
“You need to remember you need a break too. Plus, you saw Jackie’s resume. She’s had experience with this kind of stuff. Just trust her.” Liliana finally sits down comfortably on the couch.
“Jackie is very capable. Yeah.” Liliana says to herself. “Okay fine. But if she needs anything—
“You’re a call away.” Sofia says. Liliana looks over at the tv. Then begins to relax into her seat. Sofia laid her head on her friends shoulder. A feeling of contentment filling her.
Thanks to the help of Barry; Rafe found Sofia. At least, where she worked. He entered the decent sized coffee shop with its pink and white walls. He could smell the scent of coffee beans, saw customers sitting and enjoying books they probably purchased. Saw some people near the book shelves. He surveyed the coffee shop, then entered to check the aisles of book shelves. Sofia was nowhere in sight.
He bumps into someone, they gasp as the books in their hands tumbles to the ground. He's never seen this girl before. She has `long brown hair with blonde highlights. She has dark brown eyes, probably 5'6. She looks at him with shock until she schools her features.
"Sorry about that. I didn't see you there." She looks at him like she knows him. This isn't the first time that's happened.. maybe this is another of Sofia's friends.
"No, that's my fault." He looks at her awkwardly, unsure on how to begin what he wants to asks. "Does-does Sofia work here?" He asks, trying to be nonchalant. But his nerves got the best of him, he began tapping away at the bookshelf next to him. His gaze unwavering.
“Sofia.. yeah she does.” The girl says, the answer coming out her lips like pulling teeth. She didn’t glare at Rafe, the way the other girl he assumed now, was Sofias friend. But she did seem… hesitant.
“Is she here?” He asked. The girl only blinked at Rafe.
“Not today.” She says firmly, her eyes staring at the sprawled books on the ground. Rafe eyebrows furrowed.
“So she works here but she’s not here? Is it her day off?” Rafe was starting to get agitated. Why was she being so stand offish. He didn’t understand why she wouldn’t tell him where Sofia was?
“You could say that.” She bent over to grab the books from the ground.
“Liliana! Someone wants “Love Espresso!” Another girl says from behind the counter.
“Coming!” The girl, clearly named Liliana turns back to Rafe. “It’s best if you just leave her alone. Things clearly ended on a sour note for the two of you. Let it be.” With that, she walked off. Not sparing Rafe another glance.
Rafe stood there, a scowl on his face. Unable to believe that girl, Liliana, had just spoken to him like that. Did Sofia tell her what happened?
“No, I don’t think I would. You see, she’s my fiancée. I have every right to see her.” Rafe says, approaching Liliana. She was behind the espresso machine, trying to make the customer, this drink called “Love Espresso”, it sounded dumb to him. Childish even.
“Fiancée? Don’t you mean ex fiancée? Didn’t you promise her all these things just to kick her out and leave her practically jobless?” Liliana voice suddenly had bite to it. Rafe clenched his fist.
“You don’t know shit, okay. You don’t know what she did—
“Oh I know. You’re saying she deserved that? To be tossed aside by a kook? You didn’t even give her the opportunity to be heard out by you.” Liliana said, finished with her drink. Adding something he couldn’t see. She handed the customer. Who looked between them with wide eyes before paying and leaving.
“Just leave her alone, okay. You’ve done enough damage.”
With that, Rafe walked out the coffee shop angrily. How dare she talk to him like that? He knew how angry he could get. He decided to leave as fast as he could. Before he did something, he’d regret.

16 🍄 with mikey and raph!
🍄 -> You ate a wild what?
Raph notices a problem when Mikey refuses dinner.
His older brother could probably count the number of times when Mikey skipped a meal on his fingers. So when Leo told him to leave it be, Raph promptly and firmly ignored him. He left their injured brother to Donnie’s care and went looking for the turtle that had slipped out of the room during the meal.
He finds him upstairs, vomiting his lungs out.
“You idiot.” He goes down to his side, putting a hand on his head. There’s no unnatural heat. He releases him so Mikey can… Release something else. “Why didn’t you say you were sick?”
“I’m not!” He whines between pants. “My stomach just hurts.”
“And you told who?”
“I’m not a baby, Raph.” He snaps to the toilet bowl. “Go take care of Leo.”
“Idiot.” Raph decides because by the look of his teary eyes and the way he’s grabbing at his chest, Mikey is miserable and he’s got to be an absolute moron if he thinks that he’ll just walk away.
Well. Fully walk away.
He does head over to the stairs to cup his face and scream, “MIKEY’S THROWING UP! MAKE SOME TEA!”
Mikey groans from the bathroom. Donnie calls back, “WHERE?”
“FIGURE IT OUT!”
“REAL HELPFUL!”
Raph heads back into the bathroom. “There. Problem solved.”
Mikey whimpers, holding his chest tighter. After a moment of deliberation, his older brother carefully dislodges him from the toilet and flushes it. Hoisting him from the floor with a low warning about barfing on his plastron, he carries him back to the room that him and Leo share. Laying him on the bed, he grabs the vomit bucket.
Mikey hugs it to his chest, inhaling through his teeth.
“I know, bud.” Raph rubs his arm. “Just breathe.”
“It hurts.” His voice warbles as the tears fall. He’s not sure if the paleness is from the fight not to throw up or the pain. “It hurts a lot.”
“Got to ride it out.” Raph assures. “Gotta-”
The door flies open. Donnie, holding a basket, shouts, “Mikey ate pokeweed berries!”
Mikey and Raph look at him. Then at each other.
The hothead crosses his arms, “Try again.”
“Did you eat these?” Donnie demands as he holds up the bucket. It makes it harder to see what’s inside, but Mikey nods meekly.
“They’re poisonous!” Donnie snaps furiously to hide the anxiety lingering below. “Mikey ate wild poisonous berries!”
“You ate wild what?”
Raph whirls on him. Mikey’s head is halfway in his shell. “…Oops?”
“Why would you do that?!”
“I didn’t know!” Mikey tries to sit up and immediately falls down again, tucking his arms around his midsection. Raph looks to the resident genius. “Is he gonna die?”
“Luckily for him, box turtle metabolisms can handle it.” Donnie huffs as he sighs in relief. “Unluckily for him, human metabolisms cannot. I doubt he’ll die. But the next few hours are gonna really suck.”
Mikey gags and then vomits. Raph pinches between his eyes.
“Maybe now he’ll learn to stop eating random things that have not been okayed as people food.” Donnie is looking directly at Raph but his words are perfectly pitched for Mikey.
The hothead turns him around and shoves him out of the room. “Go make tea.”
“I wasn’t done-!”
He slams the door in his face. After a under-breath grumble, Donnie pouts his way downstairs. Raph moves back over to the bed, takes one look at the tea-streaked face, and sighs. Grabbing the tissues from the dresser, he climbs onto the other side of the bed.
When he lays down, Mikey flips over to latch onto him. He whimpers loudly, buries his face in his plastron, and Raph grumbles, “You’re gonna be fine.”
“It hurts.”
“Yeah yeah.” Raph lifts his face to wipe away the liquid. “Nature’s way of saying to keep away from random berries.”
His lip wobbles, “I’m sorry.”
“Why are you apologizing?” Raph remarks as he lets him go. Mikey squeezes tighter, a soft keen of pain reaching open air. “Those weren’t my poisonous berries. And it sounds like you’re already dealing with the punishment.”
Another keen tugs at his heart. Raph wraps his arms around him in return, scratching at his carapace. A bit of the tension leaves. “Breathe, little brother. It’ll pass. I’ll be right here until it does.”
Mikey exhales pitifully. Raph leads him through more breaths.
They ride out the next few hours together.
Wasn’t sure which Mikey and Raph? So you get 2012. And thanks! Love a good excuse for fluff!! 🧡❤️

scaramouche
i dont know what this is but my love life has been cooking recently so i decided to write again after months (i’ve been left on delivered for 16 minutes so you guys get angst)
“look seriously? don’t be like that— hey! wait! it wasn’t my choice! the fatui? i wanted you to be safe!”
“im getting married. deal with it.” you said while quickly walking, holding onto the sides of your heavy wedding dress, not even 3 minutes into putting on your outfit and you already regret wearing heels. “who? tartaglia huh?” he looked like a fool, you assumed he did at least. getting the courage to look at him was difficult. “it’s ajax.” you coldly say. you could picture his eye roll in your head as he mumbles a “whatever.” all you could do was watch his shadow in the corner of your eye trying to match your pace, while he reached to grab your hand. you angrily turn to him. “no! no just go! its been five years and now i’m just supposed to believe that you suddenly want me again?” all he can do is stare at your teary eyes, all he can do is chuckle. it’s weird, you had no clue why you were crying. was it cause the way he trims his hair now is different? was it cause his voice has changed, it sounds restless; was it cause it’s been so long? or was it because your heart still beats the same for him as it once did years ago. it didn’t matter how you felt anymore, you had a husband. well you will have a husband. so—
“listen okay? i just needed you to be safe” he cuts off your thoughts. scaramouche is nervous, he thinks he’s hiding it well with his smirk but he’s really not. you watch as he awkwardly try and fix his posture and grins at you, shoving his hands in his pocket hoping you didn’t notice his shaky fingers. you couldn’t stay here with him much longer, ajax would be furious. it’s not like you loved ajax, nor did he love you. it was a mutual agreement that your marriage would be perfect considering you and ajax both came from respectable families. however your dad always hated scaramouche, and you wish you listened to your father about how boys like him are pieces of shit. “you don’t get to decide that!”
scaramouche scoffs, “so what? what would that make me if i was the reason you died?” you slowly gulped as you both stood in science. he sighs and continues, “look i love you okay i still do and being away from you was one of the hardest things i’ve done!” you kinda always hoped the break up hurt scaramouche, even if it was just a little bit. you hoped that seeing you with someone else makes him bite his inner cheek. so it makes you feel better about drawing doodles of him. and making playlists dedicated to him. and learning the stupid piano just so you could play his favourite songs. “you have no right… no right to come back into my life!” your lip quivered, “it took me so long to fall asleep without you. do you know how difficult it is to eat with a heavy heart? maybe you didn’t kill me physically but the world stopped spinning the day you left so if you’re trying to come back the moment i’m starting to feel okay i’m not letting you.” of course you still loved him, but he was the reason why you put such restrictions on love. and now you cant even break your own rules, not even for him. scaramouche opens his mouth to speak but a voice calls out for you.
“hey! ajax is looking for you!” a guest you didn’t even know yelled from across the room. you look at scaramouche one more time before walking past him.

Awh man I was excited for it 😔😔
BUT it is alright!!
Hmm maybe soft prompt #31 with Minghao or DK. Idk they both are suitable with it 😭😭 So u choose
THANK U <33
-😼
hello-hello my 😼anon! gladly will write for you. let's go with seokmin for this one, yeah? thank you for requesting 💜 hopefully you will like it!
fluff prompt: 'dance with me.'
cuddling with seokmin is your favorite way to pass time. his solid weight underneath you, his strong arms around you, his comforting presence next to you - all of it is everything you need after a particularly long day at work. seokmin has this uncanny ability to guess what kind of support you need before you can even ask it from him; he's too attuned to you and your feelings. that's why when he saw you coming back hom with a frown on your face and pouty lips, he knew that cuddling session was in for tonight.
'feeling better, angel?' he asks, kissing your forehead. 'you've been very silent.'
'mhm.' you hide your face deeper in his chest, sighing. 'sorry. i'm good now.'
'what can i do for you, hm? tell me.' seokmin gently rubs your back, knowing how soothing you find this gesture. 'should i cook something? sing something? i can start my stand-up comedy show right now if you wanna laugh.'
you smile at this. your heart warms up at how focused on you and you wellbeing seokmin is - his kind soul is ready to go far and beyond for your happiness. you look up, bumping at his chin with your nose: 'i don't need a thing, seokkie. thank you though.'
seokmin goes through things that make you happy in his mind, which one is the most attainable right now? lightbulb lights up in his mind at the brilliant idea. 'angel, get up. dance with me.' at your confused expression, he gently untangles your limbs and stands up with a wide smile on his face. 'c'mon, you'll love it. dance with me.'
you're not sure, but it's seokmin and it's hard to say no when he stares at you like that. instantly taking you into his arms once you stand up, seokmin first starts humming and then proceeds to sing your favorite song in a low tone. 'seokkie, baby,' you let out in disbelief as he slowly urges you to move. he only smiles at you, not faltering once in his moves or his singing. his voice is magical and your heart swells with emotion as you watch him go out of his way to make you feel better. seeing how your eyes shine with unshed tears, seokmin softens and leans in, resting his forehead against yours, his voice barely above a whisper now. cuddling with seokmin might be your favorite way to pass time, but slowly swaying him in your room, while he sings you your favorite song, looking at you like this right here is where he'd like to stay forever... well, it might just be your second favorite.
a/n: request your own here! <3 - nini
