Finding out that Azur & Asmar was a French film and not a Spanish film as I had always assumed was one of those minor revelations that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things but at the same time shifted my entire sense of self just slightly.
#azur and asmar#i had only ever seen the spanish dub okay#we were in spain and there was no english dub available#but more crucially we were in a city in southern Andalucia and had visited the Alhambra several times#so i just assumed that Azur had crossed the strait of Gibraltar and not the Mediterranean proper
