I notice Earth suns tend to have a very bullying type of humor. Very harsh dry humor that’s borderline offensive is their style. Sometimes it’s hard to know if they’re joking or serious especially Capricorn’s 😭

Aries men are surprisingly not as hot headed as people would expect. It actually takes a lot before they really yell at you. Usually only if u insult something they’re passionate in. The women are a lot more hot headed & easily set off imo

Mercury Rx people usually struggle with speech or reading problems. I notice it can result in having a stutter or a lisp, dyslexia or just very bad social anxiety. In extreme cases I’ve seen selective mutism. I also notice they have a very intense relationship with books & reading, it’s either they absolutely love reading or it’s really challenging for them in some way. A lot started off in their earlier years finding reading challenging then ended up loving reading as they grew. It’s like a mental exercise for them.

Saturn RX people always make bad choices lol. They always choose the path that will lead to the most hardship just for the fun of it or the excitement (which it’s normally not fun for too long) they usually grew up having a hard time with authority. Could of had very authoritative parents that were too hard on them which caused them to rebel. In this lifetime they are here to learn the value of HARD-work because in past lives these people were usually really irresponsible & put fun and pleasure over building their futures. These people will face so much disappointment until they surrender their rebel lifestyle. Deep down they do want to mature & be better but many believe they aren’t good enough. Once they reach this maturity however their life will do a 360.

Venus in the 1st house people can act very unpleasant when they are getting ignored or the attention isn’t fully on them. They value people liking them & fitting in so when they feel like they aren’t vibing with anyone they go into this deep self pity downer attitude. Their self esteem and happiness is determined by how many people accept them.

Venus in the 3rd house people have relationships that look more like friendships. Their partnerships are more playful & light then deep and intense. They usually end up dating their best friend. Could lack in the physical realm however in some cases.

Venus in the 7th house people usually have a lot of crushes. Most of them however never turn into anything deeper. It’s surprisingly hard for these people to fall in love. They can also lead a lot of people on because of their multiple crushes. Not easy to keep these people attention.

Moon in Caps are really afraid of rejection. They will act they hate you even if they’re in love with you to avoid showing their vulnerable side. Their coldness can ruin a lot of relationships that they actually really wanted.

Mercury in Pisces people can never stay on topic while speaking 😂 they have this habit of going off topic then completing forgetting why they were even telling the story in the first place. They also disassociate like a mf. They can be staring dead in your eyes for hours and not hear a word you’re saying lol.

It pained me to put him all the way down (up?) here at the least moanable as I fear he may actually be one of my favourites, however... I am not delusional enough to ignore that not only is this a pretty long name, a good amount of people struggle not only to say it but to even spell it. Not at all dyslexia friendly. I would give it a good go but I feel like in order to enjoy yourself you kind of have to accept you will be calling him 'Perty' or 'Bo' or whatever you prefer.

Sanguinius

Sanguinius fans please spare me but this is a long ass name at 3? 4? syllables. I don't even know what you could call him for short instead. However, I don't doubt that it's entirely possible, I just think it would take a while to stop stuttering through.

Mortarion

Another long name. Are you sensing a pattern yet? I am. More moanable due to having less vowels than Sanguinius and less harsher (?) consonants like in Perturabo. Pretty middle of the road, easy to pronounce, could probably be easier if you just start calling him 'Morty' instead.

Alpharius / Omegon

Alpharius is again another longer name that I feel like I would trip over for a good couple weeks. I am NOT shorting it to Alpha. I must maintain my dignity, whatever crumbs of it remain. Omegon is an easier name - likely due to it having less syllables (3 rather than 4). However, I feel like the only way to shorten it would be 'Meg' and that would make me laugh and I would get distracted. Remember how I said this is subjective? This is why.

Jaghatai

3 syllables, easy enough to say, not a lot of vowels or harsher consonants to trip over. Incredibly doable, and I'm sure many have tried it. Hell, I'd certainly take a good stab at it.

Angron

Harsh G right in the middle, otherwise no complaints really. 2 syllables. Straight forward. You could certainly give it a good go.

Rogal

2 syllables - easy right? Wrong. Evil G right there in the middle again. Probably would have been higher (lower?) on the list if it was softened with maybe an H right after. Alas, it is not so.

Corvus

2 incredibly easy syllables. The V is a little evil (harsh) but with a relatively short name and a soft starting consonant I'm sure it's manageable. Best bird boy. Not much else to say.

Fulgrim

Although apparently a good chunk of people have given it a go - or at least his wives have - we're back to the G dilemma. Personally I'd suggest calling him 'Fulgie' - like Fergie but worse.

Konrad

Quite possibly the most normal name on the whole list. Konrad. Everyone can say Konrad. An easy two syllables with the harshest letter right at the start. Easy peasy.

Roboute

I actually don't know if this is 2 syllables or 3. I even went and looked on Reddit. Some people are saying Ro-Bou-Te, I've been reading it Ro-Boot. Either way these are easy, with the harshest sound being the T of all things. Either way I don't think moaning for poor long suffering Robert is too tricky.

Vulkan

Deceptively soft V and K. What a pleasant surprise. Anyone could moan this easily, and he'd probably be delighted.

Lion

Objectively this is incredibly easy, which is why it made it so high (low?) on the scale. However, I would argue moaning 'Lion' in full sincerity is somewhat hilarious. That sure is the name of an incredibly powerful (and unfortunately incredibly sexy) man.

Magnus

Easy to moan. Probably wouldn't mind if you gave it a go. Again, one of the easier names. I'm sure he'd be happy to tutor you on the subject.

Lorgar

Flows nicely, 2 short syllables, incredibly straight forward. Started mentally calling him 'Lorgie', never recovered.

Ferrus

Incredibly straight forward name. Ferrus, pronounced the same as Ferrous, like the iron tablets. Something something you should do it, it's medicinal.

Leman

Not at the top due to the time it took to decide whether it was Lee-man or Le-man (like lemon). Personal gripe, but if you've gotten this far down without understanding that I don't know what to tell you. Quick, easy, sure why not.

Horus

As much as I wish to be deeply spiteful and shove him somewhere unremarkable in the middle, I just can't do it. This is an easy name. Don't worry, if you struggle at all I'm sure he'd be willing to let you keep trying until you figure it out. Bastard.

Buddy Hates Getting Wet?

Okay this is a theory made literally as I talk to someone about it (Shout out E in the discord server) but here's something I noticed after remembering a piece of the comic. Buddy hates getting wet. He's said it a couple of times, even in outfits made to get wet like his Beach Boys appearance.

But he's not afraid of getting in water on his own

And he can swim

And as other people have pointed out, when Buddy is afraid, or startled, or surprised, or nervous, he stutters.

But we know he likes baths. He loves the hell out of them, going out of his way to treat himself with them even. The thing is though, bathing has nothing to do with getting his hair/head wet if he so chose. Is that why he enjoys it? What if there was something darker to it? What if he got waterboarded. We know he's been starved, and in the recent episode, it's been shown that claustrophobia is something that relates to him being "punished". He's also been depicted as chained up in his nightmare, with the broken chain collar around his neck. I don't think it's a stretch to theorize he could've been waterboarded or at least tortured with some kind of water. Just my take on this though! :) Edited because dyslexia and writing fast don't mix

Summary:

Rio was all set to go to Agatha's house. Both of them ready to confess to each other how they felt but they still had a project to work on. Will either of them have the courage to confess their feelings?

Hi! As promised here's another chapter! As a small reminder please tell me if there's any misspelling or grammatically incorrect stuff, I have dyslexia so sometimes I miss some stuff.

Rio pulled to Agatha’s house exactly at 12 on the dot. She was a nervous mess and wanted to make sure she didn’t come off as too much by coming early but she also didn’t want to come late and make it seem like she didn’t care. She had brought an array of candies to give to Agatha since she wasn’t sure what type she would have liked, so she brought a whole spread wrapped in a basket. Rio put on her backpack full of art supplies and was ready to knock on Agatha’s door but before she even could, Agatha was already opening the door. “Took you long enough, c’mon get in!” Agatha said happily, dragging Rio by her arm. “Finally? You told me to come at 12” Rio said, also giggling. “I know but I was getting bored, I really wanted to see you” Agatha said with a pout, looking up at Rio. She couldn’t help but blush at Agatha’s display. Rio wasn’t ready for all the cards Agatha was going to play. “So where’s the studio so I can put down my supplies?” Rio asked, trying to calm herself down internally. “Oh ya, your poor back is probably aching from carrying all that, let me take care of all that sweetheart” Agatha told Rio with a wink. Rio was too flustered to argue against her and handed her the backpack. There was no way she was going to survive this. “Um, is it cool if I use the bathroom real quick?” Rio asked, flustered to all hell. “Yeah, Just down the hall to the left” Agatha pointed out before she went to the studio. As Rio entered the bathroom she dampened a paper towel and blotched herself in hopes of calming herself down. “It’s okay Rio, it’s obvious she already likes you. You just have to match her energy back, you got this” she said to herself, ready to go back out and play Agatha at her own game. “Oh perfect, I just finished putting everything in the studio!” Agatha exclaimed, pulling Rio by the arm once again to show her where the studio was. “So what were you thinking for the project?” Agatha asked, when they finally got to the room. It was filled with all sorts of canvases and multiple easels for painting. As well as drawers full of all sorts of paints. “Well the project is supposed to be a piece or pieces that show each other’s points of views but with different perspectives so how about we do portraits of each other? I know it’s a bit old school and dumb but hear me out. Every 30 minutes we switch, and we have to continue where the other person was” Rio said, looking around the room and then landing her eyes on Agatha. Agatha was too distracted by Rio’s beauty to even fully hear or understand what Rio had just said. Agatha shook her head once she realized that Rio had stopped speaking to get her out of her trance and said “Oh, yeah, that sounds cool.” She tried to lean against the door but misstepped and almost tripped. Rio was quick to her feet and held Agatha’s back and arm before she could trip. “I got you, can’t be having you get hurt sweetheart” Rio said in a mocking tone to how Agatha had said sweetheart earlier. ”T-thank you” Agatha stuttered, flustered since she wasn’t expecting Rio to do that. “Let me grab the canvases and we’ll be all set to go” Agatha said, avoiding any eye contact and getting the equipment.

Agatha put up two chairs and easels with carts so they could put their supplies down. Rio and Agatha began to sketch on their portraits while also stealing longing glances at each other disguised as “them working on the sketches”. Once Agatha’s timer went off they switch seat but were both in awe of each other’s work when they switched. “Oh. My. God. Rio you need your eyes checked cause I am nowhere near this beautiful” Agatha said in shock of Rio’s portrait so far. “Don’t say that, you’re even more beautiful in my eyes. I just can’t capture it all in a painting” said Rio, putting the brushes in water. “If anything, I think you made me prettier than I actually am” she told Agatha with a giggle. Agatha couldn’t help but blush and stare at Rio, she never realized how pretty Rio was when she smiled. “How about we take a small break for now, it’s not due for another couple of weeks. We can watch a movie or something in the living room” Agatha told Rio, hoping she would agree. “Uh yeah sure, what type of movie do you wanna watch?” Rio asked, getting down from the chair and stealing one last glance at Agatha’s sketch. “Whatever you want to” Agatha said with a smile. “Are you fine with a horror movie?” Rio asked Agatha, smiling back at her. She secretly hoped that Agatha was scared of horror movies and would cling to her. She also genuinely loved horror flicks. “Sure, pick whatever you want. My mom has like all the streaming services so we should be able to find something.” She told Rio, dragging her back to the living room and flopping on the couch. Rio couldn’t help but chuckle at Agatha’s “man spreading”, she wasn’t sure how she didn’t notice she was a lesbian when she constantly sat like that. She decided to put on Scream since she didn’t want to traumatize Agatha but still wanted to see if she could maybe scare her with some jump scares. “Oooh a classic, I’ve never actually seen this one” said Agatha, getting up to make some popcorn for the two. “Yeah, it’s one of my favorites, I hope you like it” Rio said, looking back at Agatha. 

As the movie played Agatha never actually got scared, instead she laughed at some parts of the movie. A reaction Rio wasn’t expecting at all but definitely welcomed it. “I can’t believe they fall for the same things they say are the troupes like what were they expecting?” Agatha said while laughing and shoveling more popcorn into her mouth. “I know like they plan everything out and yet still get killed? Like how much of an idiot do you have to be” Rio said giggling and looking at her. Agatha couldn’t help but lock eyes while laughing and stare at Rio, slowly they both stopped giggling and a silence fell upon them. Agatha leaned in, hoping it was the right moment but before she could go in, Rio stopped her by pressing her hand to Agatha's chest. “ Wait, before we do this. I have to ask you something” she said, looking down. “Sure, what is it?” Agatha asked, hoping they would still be able to kiss. “Are you and Wanda dating?” she asked, looking back up to meet Agatha’s piercing gaze. “What?!? No?!? Plus, aren’t you like dating Alice?” Agatha asked in disgust of the fact she thought Rio thought she would be dating her best friend. “What?!? Ew no! We’re just friends” Rio said back to Agatha, in equal amount of disgust. “Wait so you’re not dating anyone?” Rio asked, realizing what this all meant. “Nu uh, unless you count us” Agatha said breathily, going back in for this kiss. Rio let it happen and by God was she happy that she did. Agatha’s lips were as fluffy and pillowy as she imagined. The two separated after a while and cuddled on the couch. They continued to watch more horror movies since Agatha seemed to like Scream. On top of this they also snuck a couple of kisses while cuddling and watching movies, before the two knew it, it was getting late and eventually Rio would have to go home. 

“Agatha, I hate to say it but it’s getting late” Rio said with a pout and pecking Agatha’s lips. “Why don’t we just have a sleepover?” Agatha asked nervously, hoping Rio would say yes. “Mmm, let me text my parents and let them know. I don’t have any extra clothes though, can I borrow some of yours?” Rio asked, texting her parents to let them know she was spending the night. “Of course!” Agatha said, hugging her and kissing her cheeks. Rio couldn't help but giggle a bit at how happy Agatha was with her response. “Come on!” Agatha said as she was dragging Rio again, she could get used to this is all she thought. Once they reached Agatha's room Rio couldn't help but stay at the door frame and stare and all the details and trinkets. So many awards but also a great amount of paintings and books. Especially witchcraft books. “Are you a witch, Miss Agatha” Rio asked while staring at her bookshelf. “No but sometimes I wish I was, I just find the history and everything fascinating,” she said, looking through her closet. “ I get it, my family is into brujería but I always enjoyed it from afar,” Rio said, still looking at all the books Agatha had. “Wait, that's like, actually cool. Also do these work for you?” Agatha asked, holding up a blank tank top and some dark green sweats. “Ya, those are perfect!” Rio said, taking the clothes from Agatha. Rio left the room to go to the bathroom to change. Agatha let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. It was just hitting her that she would be sleeping in the same bed as Rio. What if she snored? What if Rio didn't actually want this but couldn't say no because she didn't want to be rude? What if-. “Agatha? What's wrong?” Rio asked, standing at the door frame holding her clothes. “Huh? Nothing, don't worry about it” Agatha said, shaking her head a bit to snap her out of her head. “Your face was saying otherwise, I won't judge you, you can tell me” she said with a small smile, reaching out and holding onto Agatha's hands. “When did you first realize you had a crush on me?” Agatha asked, not looking up to meet Rio’s gaze. “I think sophomore or junior year when I saw you and Wanda in the cafeteria. It didn't truly form till this year and seeing you in AP art. Your paintings say so much more than you think, I love how gentle and warm you make everything look.

I know you don't want people to know but I can tell, you have a soft spot.” Rio said, waiting for Agatha to meet her gaze. “Mmm, don't tell anyone my secret or else you're dead” Agatha replied in a snarky tone, Rio couldn't help but giggle a bit at her response. Rio put her clothes down on the bed so she could hug Agatha. “What about you? When did you realize” Rio asked, loving their height difference since Agatha molded perfectly into their hug. “Not exactly the same as you. I noticed you since freshman year but was just too much of a coward to talk to you. You seemed way too cool and out of my league. I told Wanda about you for a while and she would always get so upset I hadn’t talked to you yet. It’s getting late” said Agatha, pulling away from Rio who was groaning due to the loss of hugging Agatha. “No complaining, plus you can cuddle me in bed” Agatha told her, doing grippy hands at Rio once she was under the covers. Rio couldn’t resist Agatha and got under the covers, instantly cuddling with Agatha. They stayed like this for a while, talking about everything and nothing. Finally, all their feelings no longer had to stay hidden and they could finally say everything they wanted to say to each for so long. They held onto each other until eventually falling asleep, both of them ready for whatever was to happen next for the both of them.

Headcanons for each of the skittles :3

Green: is actually deaf in one ear (I have no idea why, it’s just something random I came up with. Feel free to suggest a reason XD) he also has severe OCD

Blue: has really bad allergies, but is mainly allergic to animal hair. He has to be super careful around Red

Yellow: stutter’s a lot, cause his brain is way too fast and his mouth can’t keep up, especially when he’s excited or stressed. His brain may be braining but his mouth won’t mouth

Red: has dyslexia and has trouble reading and writing. Doesn’t stop him from trying tho XD Second is the only one that can sorta read his handwriting

Second: has narcolepsy and is also severely claustrophobic. He could literally fall asleep anywhere at any time, and they’ve had a few scares cause of it

Welcome to my rant about one of my dearest headcanons...

Cross-dominant (handed) MePhone!

So, what might bring me to this headcanon? Why would it be my dearest?

First — you can see it in canon a lot.

Sure, MePhone4 isn’t the only character in Inanimate Insanity who switches hands, a lot of them do it. (noticed it mostly with OJ when I was looking through Pinterest for screenshots.) However, that doesn’t mean it still doesn’t have some backing inside of canon.

First, let’s look at some pictures where MePhone is using his right hand as his dominant hand.

Here you can see him clearly emoting with his right hand, — which I’ve noticed people tend to do with their dominant hand a lot more —, and also the bumper cars.

In other instances throughout the show, we can see MePhone using his left hand as one would use their dominant hand.

As we can also see here, it’s not a thing that’s limited to III alone.

On the topic of III, have you ever noticed he also uses his left hand as his dominant hand in the intro?

Oh, and let’s get the biggest thing out of the way, he writes with his left hand.

Second — why cross-dominant? why not just ambidextrous?

Headcanon territory time! Time for me to start self-indulging.

I believe MePhone4 is naturally left-handed, that’s his true handedness. But, like many people in real like, he was forced to use his right-hand. (He learned to use his left-hand in writing for funsies, but found that it was way more comfortable than using his right and stuck with it.)

I genuinely believe that Cobs would believe left-handedness was inferiour, and that it would hurt his reputation if one of his creations was left-handed.

Sure, MePhone4 might have been created by him, but he’s still his own object who clearly has his own opinions and mental issues, I fully believe he could have turned out left-handed just because, honestly.

Even if MePhone is capable of using both of his hands, he has strong preferences, and automatically switches them when doing different tasks.

Third — any other things?

Oh, you bet!

Forced use of the right-hand can cause issues! Who would of thought.

As we can see here, it can cause learning disorders, and since many people have started headcanoning MePhone with dyslexia I feel like it fits.

Also to take from my own headcanon pile — I believe he stutters. He had just learned to stay quiet until he feels like he can speak clearly and fluidly again.

Like I said he has joint pains in his knees it usually gets worse when winter hits causing it to flare/tighten up and ache as well.

Has crooked teeth, just uses magic to make them straight. (Because I have crooked teeth too, never had braces in my life and I like my teeth)

Hates needles and has gotten into a physical altercation with a doctor and won.

Loves his parents truly, but sometimes they get on his nerves, but again he still loves them.

Stutters when he gets excited, he get stuck on the same word without realising it/gets mad when he can't get the word right. (Cosmo and Wand find it adorable)

Easily gets cold when winter hits.

Still cares for Dev and will do anything to become his godparent again, even if it means he has to go against Da rules and Jorgen.

Tends to have small out bursts of anxiety tremors, which annoys the hell out of him. (usually when it comes to drinks because he can't hold them without spilling anything plus using chopsticks so he sticks with a fork)

Had no idea he was autistic.

When he gets mad he cries.

ED (bulimia), it used to be sever but he learn how to maintain it though it'll come and go once in awhile. Though sometimes certain foods can trigger it.

Some certain smells makes him ill/nauseous which can trigger his ED.

Is addict to coffee.

Hates maintaining his hair.

Enjoys writing in his spare time when he has nothing else to do.

Bi-Demi King.(I will die on this hill btw)

Speaks Italian, thanks to his momma and Big Daddy teaching him.

Still has his Timmy doll which he still keeps since he misses Timmy.

Has a major sweet tooth, but has a cookie stash that he keeps.

Can wear almost anything from suits to the prettiest of dresses!

Lives in a consent state of anxiety.

Like's being called Peri-Weri but not the company of others because it's embarrassing.

Book nerd a huge major book nerd. Like's fantasy/Sci-fi and romance.

Still keeps in contact with Goldie and Sammy.

Anime fan/Manga enjoyer.

Plays the violin and flute.

Has social anxiety when people come up to him, he gets awkward as he tries to find an excuse to leave/disengage the conversation.

Has Thalassophobia and Trypanophobia.(that's it cause fuck the ocean and fuck needles if I have it he can have it too...)

His ears turn red when he gets flustered/embarrassed.

Dated Irep. (They have an on and off relationship sue me!)

Will never ever stop being impressed by the fact that Irep plays the piano.

Went through a rebel/goth phase in his teens.

Sleeps like a cat, whenever he finds something comfy he would be out like a light.

Knows how to sew, he learned how to sew when his Timmy doll started to wear and tear.

Wants to learn how to waltz but is a bit to nervous and honestly he can't dance well.

Has dyslexia when it comes to writing.

He's ambidextrous.

His love language is sometimes physical touch,gift giving, and words of affirmation also sweets is his love language as well. (mainly chocolate)

He still hates theatre.

Knows the phonetic alphabet and how to say his name in it because Jorgen taught him.

Easily catches colds/prone to getting sick.

Tends to fidgets things in his hands without realising it, since it keeps him simulated.

Cried to his parents when Timmy had to get his memories wiped when Timmy became of age so he wouldn't remember all the time he had with his brother.

Knows how to knit and crochet, but prefers knitting.

When he gets scared his fight or flight response kicks in, it always flight.(Sometimes it's usually fight or freeze)

Isn't a fan of horror movies.

Moth squeaks, he squeaks like a moth when mad. (here's the example also Irep made fun of him for that)

Has used Irep's wings to hide his face when scared/embarrassed.

Had his hands/fingers turned blue at one point and he had no idea why they turned blue but it caused everyone to panic because that was the first stage of frostbite/he had no blood flowing through his fingers. Jorgen and Wanda had to warm up his hands to get the blood flowing.(This is a very true story btw since I was like huh thats a problem)

Drinks hot drinks in the winter and drinks cold drinks in the summer.

Doesn't drink alcohol, because the last time he drank it was a nightmare and he's a lightweight he wishes not to talk about it.

Wants to own a pet rat.

Trembles and Shakes when cold/get's random burst of anxiety.

Loves fruits mainly cantaloupe & mangos.

Is a bit chubby.

Hates the smell of fish. Living in a fishbowl for awhile made him hate the smell of fish.

Doesn't like the dark.

Knows how to write and read cursive.

Has gotten nosebleeds randomly from time to time but so far it has died down . (projecting a little bit on to him)

Tends to overthink things, like a lot.

Once laughed so hard he started crying because he heard Irep say the most morbid/dirtiest joke and he wouldn't stop laughing.(it caused a chain reaction because everyone else started laughing as well)

Has Dyshidrotic eczema (blisters)mainly on his hands and fingers which is easily triggered when he gets extremely stressed out.

Always have to prop his legs up whenever his knees ache/flare up if he has to cross his legs from time to time.(Yes I do this irl because of my damn knees)

Will never EVER forget when his knee's cracked when he was in gym class had to sit down for the first time and the teacher yelled out "this is why we stretched before hand". He was about to cry when that happen.(Yes this happen to me as well and I almost did cry)

Will never admit this but he enjoys being carried around whenever his knees would flare up during the winter.

Is an empath and hates it from time to time as he gets overwhelmed.

Has stretch marks.

Owns a colouring book because he finds it relaxing.

Enjoys eating dino nuggies.

Is a theorist and lore enjoyer, because he finds it fun and also interesting.

~ Chapter 4. 03 ~

I apologize in advance for any spelling or grammar mistakes and how poorly written this fanfic is. English is not my first language and together with my dyslexia ass things can go wrong I'm sorry.

The hallway was silent when I walked into it. My eyes went to the gate and saw that they barricaded it with whatever they could find. Eun-hyuk was right. It's not safe here with the gate like this. If a monster like that big one who attacked us upstairs wants to come in here it could without trouble.

I walked further down the hall trying to find someone, but it seemed like everyone had vanished from in thin air. I walked around a corner finally seeing someone. He was mumbling to himself, but I couldn't hear what he said. My steps came to a stop when I could finally see the guy's face. It looked like someone had beaten him badly.

"Ah, Mi-na. I was afraid you wouldn't make it."

My stomach turned hearing his voice. I hadn't recognized him because of the beatings, but his voice was something I hadn't forgotten.

"Mister Choi, I hadn't recognized you."

He came closer, laughing darkly.

"How many times have I told you to just call me Yoon-jae."

Every chance he gets. I always try to avoid him, but he just gives me a nasty feeling. Like everything in my body is telling me to run away from him as fast as possible.

"I'm sorry," I mutter doing a quick bow.

His eyes looked me up and down for a second before smiling at me.

"Where are you going?" I shrug my shoulders not wanting to tell this guy anything about me.

"Uhm I'm just looking around. So I'll leave you alone, bye."

With quick steps, I began to walk past him but stopped when a rough hand grabbed my wrist.

"What the...!?" I mutter looking up from it to see him smiling at me.

"Need some company?" I shook my head trying to pull out of his grip, but it only tightened.

"I'm good. Can you let go of me?"

He didn't listen, instead, he took a step closer.

"It isn't safe to walk alone here. There could be a monster lurking behind every corner besides it feels like you're trying to avoid me."

Because I am!

"I will be fine. Now let me go."

He shook his head.

A yelp came out of my mouth when I felt his nails dig into my flesh. A sinister smile came on his face like he was enjoying my pain.

"You have a beautiful scream. It just sounds like the one in my dreams." More pressure was put on my wrist, making me think it could snap any moment now.

"I said let me fucking go!"

With all my strength I kneed him in his groin, which made him let go of me. Before he could recover fully I punched him in the face. A hiss left my mouth when my knuckles made contact with his skin. I didn't think it would hurt that bad.

"You bitch!" I began to move backward when he took big steps toward me.

My heart began to race when I tried to look around for something I could use to protect myself with. I saw his hand move upwards ready to strike me when I heard a cigarette being lit.

A shocked expression came on his face before slowly turned around. Moving to the side a little I try to see from behind him. To my surprise, the guy from a few days ago who saw Hyun-su faint was standing there. He came closer making Yoon-jae nervously walk back passing me.

"You're here." He spoke up in a hushed voice.

"You said see you again, son of a bitch!" Was the only thing the man with the burn scar said before punching him across the face.

I moved towards the wall giving them space for whatever was happening between them. Another punch hit Yoon-jae's face making him stumble all over the place. The man with the scar grabbed his shirt from the back before slamming him against the wall a few inches away from me.

Yoon-jae fell to the ground with a loud groan. Not a second later a kick landed on his back.

"Wait a minute." He stutters out, trying to crawl further away from the man who is still kicking him.

"I have something to say." He said breathing heavily.

He had trouble standing up and falling a few times, but it was all an act. Yoon-jae jumped up trying to tackle the guy, but it failed. The only thing he managed to do was slam the man into the wall where he was slammed against.

To my surprise, it didn't face the man at all, and guessing the reaction Yoon-jae had by running he knew as well that it didn't affect him one bit. The man blows out some smoke before slowly following him.

"The fuck?!"

Do I go and get someone or what? Someone has to be around here, right? All groaning I began to walk, well limp after the two. I took some turns but finally managed to find one of them and to my surprise, he was with Eun-yu. She was talking against him like she had known him forever.

With frown brows, I walk after them. I watch as Eun-yu stopped yelling moron against him.

"Eun-yu!"

She turns to me with her hands in her pockets.

"What are you doing here? Didn't my brother locked up to rest or something?" She asked rolling her eyes.

"Screw that! Do you know that guy?!" I asked pointing at the dedication he went.

Eun-yu shrugs her shoulders.

"I have seen him a couple of times, but that's it. Why?"

I look from the hallway back to her before speaking up.

"Because he was just beating up Yoon-jae just a second ago!"

She looked at me with widened eyes.

"The creep Yoon-jae from room 802?"

I nodded my head.

"I'm pretty sure he was trying to kill him," I added.

"Well, it seems like he almost did by the way Yoon-jae looks when walking by. He looked like a mess."

I don't like him and he is a total freak, but we can't let that man murder him.

"Come on!" I grabbed her arm, dragging her with me.

"Where are we going?!"

"Trying to stop a murder from happening!"

We were just in time to see Jea-heon stop the man from going after Yoon-jae when we came from behind the corner. There was a tense moment between the three of them before Yoon-jae closed the get. Preventing the man from hitting him more.

"That was a letdown," Eun-yu mumbled from beside me.

I looked at her with widened eyes.

"What do you mean let down?! Did you want to see them fight, killing each other?!" She shrugs her shoulders before putting on her headset.

I watch as she walks away leaving me alone with the others. My gaze went to the four guys standing there. Jea-heon was looking inside the room where Yoon-jae just walked in, while the other three looked at me like they saw a monster or something. I'm pretty sure nothing was here.

"Why are guys staring? Never seen a girl from this up close?" I asked putting my arms over my chest.

"No, well yes, but that's not it." I think his name is Jae-hwan said.

"What?" I asked tapping my injured foot on the ground.

"It's just you... you well." Another guy I think Seung-wan started.

"You fell nine floors down just like the boy," Byeong-il said finishing his sentence.

"So?" I asked confused at the three guys.

"Nobody can survive a fall like that!" Jae-hwan said loud almost yelling.

"I guess I did," I argued back.

"You're just like him, aren't you? So why aren't you in there as well?!"

I opened my mouth to say something when a voice came from behind me.

"Because she's isn't infected." Eun-hyuk came standing beside me looking at the three of them.

"How are you so sure?" Seung-wan asked.

"Hyun-su's injuries all heal in three hours. Mi-na has been unconscious for twelve hours and still has her injuries. If she was like him she would have healed as well." The three of them look at Eun-hyuk.

It seems like they didn't want to argue back because they just turned around mumbling among themselves.

"Mi-na, it's good to see you up and running. How are feeling?" Jea-heon asked turning away from the cell door to face me.

"I'm fine, a little sore here and there. The only thing that actually hurts is my ankle, but it's okay." I explain showing my wrapped-up ankle at him.

"Shouldn't you sit and not walk on it?"

I opened my mouth to answer when Eun-hyuk spoke up from beside me.

"That's what I have told her, but she's not very good at listening to someone."

I gave him a little glare before facing Jea-heon again who let out a chuckle.

"And your waist? Is it still bleeding?"

I wanted to say that it's fine when something pops up in my head. I don't feel the pain anymore. My hand went to the spot where the injury should be, but the only thing I felt was the bandage. Shouldn't Eun-hyuk have felt or seen it when he inspected me when I was unconscious or the second time when he wanted to see if I had pain somewhere?

"Uhm, yeah. It's still there just a little sore you know, but it's fine no bleeding at all."

From the corner of my eyes, I could see Eun-hyuk staring at me. I don't know if he knows about it or not, but shouldn't he have said something if he did know?

"Uhm excuse me, I need to go," I mumble before the two of them can ask more things.

While limping my way to the restroom, my hand was still on my waist. I tried to squeeze it a few times to see if I could feel pain or not, but there was nothing. Limping through the restroom door I walk to the sinks with the mirrors.

I lifted my dress and shirt up to reveal the bloody bandage. With shaking hands, I began to unwrap it slowly. My face dropped when the last bit of the bandage came off.

Gone.

The wound was completely gone.

The only thing that was left of it was the blood around it. My cold hand touches the spot trying to see if something else is there, but no.

Nothing.

It can only mean one thing.

I'm infected.

How Common is Neurodivergence?

Forms of neurodivergence represented here are focused on neurodevelopmental disorders.

These percentages are representative of percentage in general population and do not reflect percentages within neurotypes which are often higher due to co-occurrence being the norm, rather than the exception, within neurodevelopmental disorders; for example, 33-45% of people with ADHD will also have dyslexia (Butterworth & Kovas, 2013), whereas only 10% of the general population are dyslexic (British Dyslexia Association [BDA], 2023).

Certain neurodivergencies are often underrepresented and under-reported, so the percentages are likely to be higher; for example, one study suggests that rates for FASD in the UK may be as high as 17% (McQuire et al., 2019).

Some of the neurodivergencies represented here are umbrella terms and percentages given are representative of all forms of neurodiversity belonging to that term; for example, SpLds include dyslexia which is at a rate of 10% (BDA, 2023) and dyscalculia which is at 3-7% (Haberstroh & Schulte-Körne., 2019). Tic Disorders at 1% are another example here, as this is inclusive of Tourette Syndrome which is at 0.6%, and around 1 in 5 individuals exhibit tics at some point during childhood (Cavanna et al., 2017).

dancers with ehler danlos, who get easily dislocated or bruised, chronic fatigue dancers, those whose body hurts even more than your typical abled person, those in wheelchairs, those with full body motor tics, tremors, huntington disease, dystonia or rigidity, dyspraxia, balance & coordination problems. to those dancers that cannot do acro to save their life, who cant do amazing tricks. i promise it's okay for you to move your body however you can, it's fine, people have different limits, you should respect your own. you dance, you dance like you are going to die dancing, who cares if its not fluid, if its not expressive enough if you fall, if you lost your balance, seriously, its fun to dance, it shouldnt be stressful, take care and take time, if you need a break, take it, theres no shame in that.

traditional & digital artists, painters who are amputees and draw with their mouth or feet, those with parkinson, or hand/arms motor tics. blind artists, you draw and paint a masterpiece, yes, even with your trembling hands and messy canvas.

actors and actresses, those who dealt or still deal with agoraphobia, stage fright, panic attacks & social anxiety, the autistics ones with a special interest in theatre or musical teather, yet they cannot, or wont participate because thier voice is too monotone, too robotic, you don't get social cues, or sarcasm, or jokes, or you are way less expressive than your peers. i promise it's okay to feel scared, were human, were scared of judgement and critiques, but, if you like it, do it, dont even think about it, if it will make you happy, then who cares about other people's opinions?

writers. my schizospec & psychotic people who write poems, stories, writings that ''dont make sense'' to other people, i understand you, i do. those who are in art block because of depression, those with mania who write and write too much in their manic/hypomaniac episodes, until they are in burnout, people with dysgraphia, those with hand tics. write, write even if it doesnt make sense to others, art is for yourself, if you understand, and you know what you were trying to say, then, go for it, your words come out so easily, even if they're ''nonsense'' to people, and that's amazing.

to readers too! to those who need more time to read texts, to comprehend them, those who are slow readers. to those with intellectual disabilities who struggle with comprehending certain books or texts, with too much info and concepts they don't really understand, to those who have to read one, two, three times, over and over again the same text, because they keep getting distracted/they cannot understand. to the ones with dyslexia, those who used to read books a lot, and now cannot due to alexia or can't read their favorite books anymore, because they are blind, it's fine, really, take your time, the time you need, take it, it's fine to be slower, it's fine to go at your own pace.

sculptors, who no longer can create, who grieve their talent, their passion, who are messy and clumsy, and can never seem to be satisfied with their own works because of motor issues, tremors, etc. your creations are still beautiful, i promise.

singers! those who have selective mutism, or people who have problems with their vocal cords, those who can no longer sing because they lost their voice, those who stutter, have a lisp, or have vocal tics, people who would love to sing, but they are mute/non-speaking, i know how it is to lose an interest, a passion because your body doesnt not cooperate, i get you, and i see you.

photographers with shaky hands, with blurry images, they cannot take a ''good picture'' because of their struggles with moving your own body, doesn't matter if its blurry, i see what you're trying to capture, and i love it, photographers with photosensitive epilepsy, who have to be careful with images and references.

people who play instruments, who deal with coordination problems and weak fine & gross motor skills, you still play so beautiful.

to anyone, disabled, mentally ill, neurodivergent, who has lost their passion, who cannot do what they used to do, those whose body won't collaborate with you, i'm sorry, i'm sorry, i know it's dificult believe me.

but hang in there

i see you, i really do, i hear, see, watch, read you, no matter how different you do these things, you are still creating, you are still making art i promise.

SHADOW AND BONE S2 SPOILERS BELOW (specifically Wylan)

back on my procrastination obsessing-over-comfort-characters flavored shit again here we go

Jack Wolfe did a great job getting me invested in Wylan all over again dear god idk where to even start for this. there's so much to discuss about his character portrayal in the show.

what I wanna talk about in this meta, though, is Wylan as neurodivergent (from a neurodivergent perspective), and I'll start it out by saying I absolutely loved it.

Having Wylan so obviously ND without actually saying it or making him "weird/outcast/gross" is so refreshing in media. Like, from the books (and mid-season of the show) we know that Wylan probably has dyslexia, making it harder for him to read. He shows his discomfort with this fact about himself, how his natural conclusion is that others will treat him less because of it. But something I've always admired about Wylan (and I think a lot of fans forget *squints at trends of infantilizing ND-coded characters*) is how he knows this isn't something to be ashamed of. He knows this doesn't make him any less incredible. But he just can't get it in his head that others would feel the same way. When he first lets Jesper in on how he can't read the passport, he's trusting Jesper with this. He looks around to make sure no one else will hear, anyone he doesn't have this bond with, faith in, yet. And he asks Jesper what the passport says. The look in his eyes is so pleading, so cautious, like this is a test. He's testing Jesper to see how he'll react to this, if he'll just be another name on the list of people Wylan has to learn to let go to keep himself safe.

And yeah, Jesper fucks it up. And he just keeps fucking it up, saying how he didn't know bc "you're just so smart!" (like that "oh, you don't look autistic!" "oh, you're too smart to be disabled" etc) (like ofc, that wasn't Jesper's intentions. But when your father sends you letters like "if you're reading this, then you know how much I want you to come back home," well what are you more likely to believe Jesper is thinking?) And finally, Jesper hits it right: "you have nothing to be ashamed of!" Except... it's pretty hypocritical of him here. So Wylan panics again, he's furious because he really does like this guy but how dare you. And then he sees how hurt Jesper is and oh shit. There's more to this. It's more complicated than "don't be ashamed," there's a commonality here. This isn't pity, it's empathy.

so yeah I absolutely adore how they addressed this in the show given the situations they were placed in (like, if in the books, Wylan had already formed a strong bond with someone in the group, he probably would've done this. But he really hadn't yet, no one had told him that they want to be around him, to understand him. Wylan didn't feel safe enough to test the waters. The situation from the show, however, opened up new possibilities that stay true to his character (imo)).

Though even more than that, just the sheer obvious ND traits that Jack shows with Wylan made me so happy. Like, especially all his tics and stuttering and it didn't feel ingenuine. He doesn't stutter through everything, just super stressful situations (which... is most of his situations in s2 lmao). Like, he's not stuttering when he's just driving in the cart with Jesper or when he's scolding him for seriously, you remember that now??? (like ofc Jesper would remember him in that position I swear-- "you brought me stroopwaffles!" jesper PLS). He holds it together when confronting Kaz about Alby (his voice breaks at first, he pauses, but he works up the mask to look sturdy and immovable. which,,, with kaz brekker he definitely needs). When telling Jesper why he left, he keeps steady. It's not all the time like the stuttering-representation I've seen before (specifically in fanfics).

AND THE HEAD SHAKE TICS!!!!!!! As someone that does that a lot, I was so happy to see him doing these (the excessive blinking as well), especially when he's more shy than stressed because yeah tics can happen any time, but especially any situation with a heightened emotion (and the guy u like telling u that he really wants to try things seriously with u with that soft voice/eyes/smile (this is just becoming me simping for Kit Young), like yeah I'd definitely be feeling a lot. AND IT DOESN'T TURN JESPER AWAY. The only thing that bothered him was that Wylan hadn't responded; he was worried the sentiment wouldn't be returned. But Wylan's actual tics have nothing to do with it.

And having him so sensitive to loud sounds (ironically) makes me so happy because YES!!! YES YES YES OFC. He loves music and chemistry because Wylan controls them. He can control the sound, the amount of it all, he can predict it. And it makes it easier to deal with. He doesn't flinch away from his own explosions (when he knows they're coming, unlike the one that destroyed the Crow Club) -- usually he covers his ears or hides his face ahead of time. He likes the higher piano keys, the flute puffs (forgive me, I am a cellist and a pianist, Idk what the harsher sounds from his flute when we first see him are called technically) when he can control them and their effects. And whenever he does react to other sounds/situations, he leans towards his one comfort-person in the group (Jesper), leaving him lost once he tries to sever that tie after telling Jesper that he can't read. Wylan leans on Tolya more instead (I love that so much for so many reasons) bc while Tolya is less known, he's just,,,,,,, okay I'm sorry but Tolya gives off such comforting vibes, alright? Like he's so amazing. I haven't read the SaB books yet, just SoC, so I saw everyone talking about him like "oh yeah ok. some cool character ppl love. aight we'll see how it goes." aND I LOVE HIM SO MUCH???

Like if I was in Wylan's position, given all the other characters around, I would definitely lean to Tolya for comfort. Also Tolya is a great fighter, like. alsdkfj no focus, Wylan first, Tolya meta later.

ALL THE INFO DUMPS TOO!!!! That urge to inform Jesper despite also wanting to be pissed at him bc pls be interested in this, I wanna tell someone so much. This is so important to me. AND THEN wanting to correct Jesper later when Jesper apologizes, even messing it up himself after hearing how Jesper pronounces it when Wylan knows how it should be bc god the echolalia, the subconscious ND urge to repeat what others said/how they said it/tongue just getting screwed up when u hear something wrong despite knowing how it should be. And then Wylan deciding that it's not important, that he has so much time now to correct Jesper, that he can explain it all and more later under the safety of roof and the morning sun.

I'm not crying you are.

okok I need to eat supper now but pls I love how Jack Wolfe depicts Wylan as ND so bad, it's so validating. Especially with an entire cast full of ND characters (u cannot change my mind that the Crows isn't ND Found Family. I love them so much) and how different everyone is still, showing so many side to neurodiversity. And that it's all valid. That Wylan is incredible and beautiful and brilliant, neurodivergence and all. That someone like him, someone maybe like me, could find a love (romantic, familial, platonic) like Wylan does with the Crows (and now more! since the show allows them to interact with the other series).

Representation matters, people.
