I was thinking about this while getting ready lol

Tim jokes when Lucy asks if he talked about her in therapy right? He’s like “a freak in the sheets” which is funny but felt weird considering how much she means to him.

And it got me thinking that he’s probably said so much about her, or at least how he feels about Lucy, but he can’t tell Lucy that. It’s not appropriate anymore, so instead he jokes.

He throws out something inconsequential instead of what he’s probably said about her —- which is that she’s the love of his life (she is, I won’t accept criticism on this lol), he misses her. He screwed up by leaving (back up by the elevator scene)

It was already such a big step for him to tell her he was in therapy unprompted, that’s huge for someone as closed off as Tim, telling her anymore than that was/is too much, and not fair to her.

But my point is that, while the “freak in the sheets” line was funny, it’s absolutely not what he’s really said about Lucy to his therapist. Also when you factor in that they now know the therapist was crooked,, he probably doesn’t want Lucy to worry that she also knows about her because of him. So he jokes.

To protect her. Again.

Baby Taylor's baby voice is so endearing and it's going to be bittersweet to "lose" that on the TVs, but I'm really excited to hear how they clean up (or not) the production on Debut. I mean I know they're going to make it as accurate as possible to the originals, but I mean in the actual sound mixing and stuff. Because I feel like this album could benefit the most from some of that! Which is not to say that the original is bad BECAUSE IT'S NOT, but I think there is subtle stuff they can do with the mixing/blending/instrumentals/treble/etc. to make it shine even more.

#I don't want to say it sounds 'amateur' because it was obviously recorded by professionals #but there are some parts where i notice certain things in how her voice blends with the instrumentation #and I think they're really going to be able to make this part soar waaaaaaay more #like it almost sounds in some parts like she's singing over a karaoke track #instead of a full production if you get what i mean #it's just the difference of 20 years of evolution in sound production and design and in her own increased experience in producing #(sorry my dad does this stuff and like one road trip we spent the whole time listening to the latest mix of an album he was producing #and mixing for a friend and it's engrained in my brain how he was like dictating notes for me to write down so he could go back and fix #when we got home 😂)
