ONE-SHOT | MASTERLIST
Pairing: Aizawa × GN!Reader • Words: 1,6 K
Summary: A haircut tale
Tags: slice-of-life, cute, fluffy, romantic stuff
CW: none worth mentioning. SFW
The apartment was cloaked in the cozy ambiance of evening, the soft glow of lamps casting warm pockets of light in the living room. As the door creaked open, announcing Aizawa's return, the air seemed to shift with expectancy.
It wasn't the kind of anticipation that made a person’s heart leap. Instead it felt more like the sort of expectation that came from people waiting for their loved ones to get home at regular basis for weeks on end, filled with both excitement and anxiety bubbling up inside.
Even after years of marriage, you still had butterflies for him whenever he entered the room you were in.
"I'm back," Aizawa's gravelly, deep voice resonated through the space, carrying the weight of a taxing day. He unburdened himself of his shoes and bag, the fatigue etched on his features. The journey down the building's hallway felt like a gradual shedding of the day's strain.
"Hey, Sho, welcome back!" You called from the kitchen, your voice a gentle melody amid the quiet that once reigned in the place. "Long day?" You asked, your eyes landing on his tense figure.
He nodded, pausing at the kitchen's doorway before offering a small smile. "Yeah, you could say that."
The smell of cooking food wafted towards him as his gaze swept over the room. The counter was covered in various ingredients, some in the middle of the cooking process and others just sitting there in piles, ready to be added to the mix when needed.
"Did everything go well today?" You asked, turning around from the stove to greet him properly with a kiss on the cheek. He returned it affectionately, leaning against your body for comfort and security, but only for the briefest moments before pulling back to take a look at you.
"Yep," he responded, the same way he always did every time. He was never one for long talks or unnecessary details about his day, preferring instead to focus his attention on how you were doing instead.
"How are you feeling today? Anything interesting happened while I was gone?" He questioned, reluctantly pulling away from your welcoming embrace to remove his binding cloth from around his neck.
"I'm feeling alright." You answered truthfully before proceeding with a small shrug. "And not really. The highest point of my day was going grocery shopping. It was a tiring work though, so I didn't do much after that."
"Ah, right," the hero nodded knowingly, his cloth now hanging around one of his arms. "Next time you go grocery shopping, remember that I have to be there too." Aizawa reached out his free arm and gently pulled you into another tight hug.
Your arms wrapped around his torso in return, your face pressed against his chest. "And put even more tasks on your overly busy day? No way." Your tone was playful, but there was an undertone of concern that Aizawa picked up on instantly.
"If anything, I should be the one getting all the chores done on this end, since you're not here as much as I am. I don't want you working yourself too hard," you protested.
His head rested on top of yours, his hair tickling your skin lightly. "Still, I'd rather it be me than you," he said firmly. "Besides, it makes me feel bad knowing I'm making it so hard on you due to my workload."
You sighed fondly. "You know I wouldn't mind helping out if I could." You stated, hoping to make it clear to him that you didn't mind. But there was nothing else you could say to change his mind, so you simply agreed with him with a small pout.
You carefully untangled yourself from his tight but gentle grip, searching for his eyes. "C'mon, sexy, go wash off the sweat and dirt that's clinging to your face. Dinner is gonna be ready soon," you told him with a soft voice.
He let out a tiny chuckle before walking towards the bathroom, a fond, small smile adorning his lips. You smiled at the warm feeling in your chest, and then went back to your cooking, the sound of running water following shortly thereafter.
As he retreated to the bathroom, a cascade of garments left in his wake, and the warmth of the shower soothed his sore muscles as he rinsed away the dust that had accumulated during his arduous workday.
Shower felt even better than normal after a tiring and long day, and his shoulders loosened as he stepped under the steaming showerhead.
He had his eyes closed and his mouth partially open as he used it to breathe while the water poured over his head, rinsing the shampoo away from his scalp. It was an intimate and vulnerable moment. It was also calming.
After cleaning himself up, he stepped out to dry his body and get dressed in his sleepwear – a pair of loose pants and a simple t-shirt.
Upon checking to make sure everything was alright with his appearance, Aizawa stared at his reflection in the slightly fogged-up mirror. His gaze lingered on the unruly curtain of long bangs that veiled his eyes, now being an unintended consequence of neglect amid the demands of his work.
The weariness etched in his features was momentarily eclipsed by a bemused frown. Aizawa ran his fingers through the disheveled and damp strands, a silent acknowledgment of the overdue task at hand.
He brushed his hair, aware of how his bangs were almost reaching his chin. Putting the hairbrush down, he tried his best to comb them again with his fingers, trying to make his hair less wild and disorderly.
After a few minutes of struggling, he sighed exasperatedly, giving up his attempts. What good would a couple of extra combing do him anyway? It was getting too long. It was bound to become an issue sooner or later.
In defeat, Aizawa emerged from the bathroom, a towel draped over his shoulders, his usually unkempt hair dripping slightly. He stood in the doorway again, gazing at you with a hint of weariness.
"Is dinner almost ready?" He inquired, his eyes flicking towards the culinary ballet that persisted while he was in the shower.
You glanced over your shoulder, a playful smile tugging at your lips. "Almost. Just finishing up. Why? Hungry?"
He scratched the back of his head, a familiar gesture of contemplation. "Not just that," he admitted, his gaze turning to the bathroom's door for a moment. "I think it's time I did something about this." His hand gestured towards the curtain of his disheveled bangs.
Your eyes followed the unspoken cue, understanding what he meant. Setting down the spatula, you approached him, your fingers lightly grazing the strands that shielded his eyes.
"Want me to do something about it?" You asked, your tone teasing yet sincere. Aizawa's eyes met yours, a silent acknowledgment passing between you, and he muttered. "If you don't mind."
You tiptoed, pressing a chaste kiss against his cheek, and smiled. "Don't be shy," you murmured. With a gentle gesture, you guided him to a chair at the kitchen table, the aroma of the cooking dinner enveloping both of you.
As he sat down, you walked over to the bathroom, searching for a comb and for the box that held secure your sharp hair scissors.
"Ready for a change?" You teased, after coming back to the kitchen and getting closer to where he sat, standing in front of him. Your fingers ran softly through his damp hair.
Aizawa huffed, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Just don't cut it too short, please. I like it longer."
The corners of your mouth quirked slightly, and you nodded in response, combing his hair in a bun before tying a elastic around it, securing the bun as a temporary fix to prevent his locks from getting in the dangerous way of the scissors.
As you moved on to combing his fringe next, you noticed Aizawa closing his eyes, the tension in his frame gradually decreasing. The sight warmed your heart, and the peaceful atmosphere settled around you as you focused on combing his hair, gently moving the comb through his bangs, careful not to damage it.
You gently lifted his chin to get a better look, and after a minute or two of gentle combing, your hand finally stopped its motion to reach for the scissors you had placed on the table. "Don't move now, okay?" You whispered gently, the words accompanied by a gentle touch to his head.
"Mhm," Aizawa hummed softly in agreement. He kept his eyes closed and continued motionless, the tactile sensation of hair falling gently through your hand heightened the intimacy of the moment.
He finally allowed himself to relax under your touch. The occasional snip of the shears resonated like a quiet melody, punctuating the soothing ambiance.
"You're surprisingly good at this," Aizawa remarked, breaking the comfortable silence.
You chuckled. "I've had some practice. Plus, it's a small way to take care of you."
He hummed once again, his hands resting loosely on top of his lap, now completely relaxed.
You carefully trimmed away the last remaining locks of hair, brushing his hair until only half the mess remained.
After taking a small step back from your handy work, you admired it. "Done. I didn't cut it too much. It'll still keep its fluffy quality, don't worry."
Aizawa opened his eyes and gazed up to meet yours, and his eyes softened, his expression becoming more serene by the second.
Taking the scissors from your hand and placing them back on the table, he grabbed your other hand into his, pulling it towards his lips in a gentle hold. He placed a kiss on the back of your hand. "Thank you. That was very kind of you."
You shook your head, smiling in amusement. "No need to thank me, love. We both know I'd help you with whatever you needed even without you saying anything. You deserve to be taken care of every once in awhile." You squeezed his hand slightly as he leaned forward, pressing another chaste kiss onto your knuckles, his stubble tickling the soft skin of your fingers.
After pulling away from touching your hands, he stood up, a gentle smile on his face. "Let's finish up with dinner," he said, ready to assist you.

Month one (May): moving into 6B
Summary: You find an ad for your dream apartment and decide to give it a go. Apartment 6B is everything you've ever wanted: high ceilings, an open floorplan, and a 6ft4 grumpy army captain...
Warnings: none, grumpy Sy?
A/N: Im so super duper excited about this!!!! I hope you guys enjoy it and please feel free to leave feedback anytime :) Some of these chapters might be regular fic length while others are gonna be just drabbles. If anyone has a request for this AU please let me know and I'll see what I can do :)) <3
this is part one to my series called: A year in apartment 6B
The Sunday paper was sprawled across your coffee table. You had a deep wrinkle plastered on your forehead and a red marker between your teeth as you furiously browsed through the apartment listings. You had been at this all morning. And nothing. You were about to give up, but then another listing caught your eye.
'Looking for a roommate/ apartment 2 bed 1 bath.'
The pictures of the place looked cute. It was close to your job and the rent wasn't too bad, so you called the number.
"Hello?' A deep grumpy voice answered the phone
'H-hi!' you chirped, a little taken aback, 'I'm calling for the apartment, the one from the paper? Do you still need a roommate?...'
'I do.' He stated dryly.
'Great! Could I come over and take a look maybe? I'm free this afternoon, Maybe I could stop by at around 3 or something? I don't know if that works for you but maybe I c-'
'Three works.' He interrupted before hanging up the phone.
Jeez, what a dick.
If the apartment hadn't been so perfect you wouldn't even have gone, but as you looked at the pictures again you decided to risk it just for the kitchen island alone.
You knocked on the door a little uncertain. The realization that you were gonna have to share this beautiful place with that asshole from the phone suddenly settled in your gut and you were beginning to question if it was worth it.
When the door opened your mouth actually fell open a little. You were greeted with a tall, broadly-shouldered man. He looked very... masculine? As much as you hated that description, it seemed to be the only accurate one on your mind.
'Hi, come in.' he welcomed you dryly, taking a step aside to let you in.
He was wearing dark-washed jeans and a dusty old shirt. His beard was on the verge of needing a slight trim and he was sporting a buzzcut. He was very handsome actually. Shame that his attitude hadn't gone anywhere.
'Thanks...' you replied as you stepped passed him and immediately laid your eyes on that gorgeous kitchen.
'Wow, this place is even more perfect than the pictures...' you sighed
He gave you a little tour of the place, barely uttering a word at you. You couldn't tell what he was thinking and you didn't like that, but you were too distracted by the apartment.
You got to where your bedroom would be. The room was not too big, but big enough for you. You assumed he had the master bedroom. You also assumed that would not be part of the tour.
The bedroom you were looking at was empty, aside from some boxes filled with junk and an unmade bed with a dodgy-looking mattress. It was clear this room hadn't been occupied before.
'I moved in a couple months ago, just been using it as storage. You can do with it what you want of course,' he explained. 'You got your own stuff?' He looked down at you. You were both standing by the doorframe and since Sy took up most of the space, you were almost squished against him trying to peek in.
For some reason, you felt so intimidated by his stare. You slithered by him and walked around the room a little, not that there was a lot more to see, but you simply couldn't handle standing so close to him anymore.
'Yeah Yeah I do, my friend's dad works for a moving company, I can ask him if he can take the bed when he brings my stuff up?' You suggested, earning a slight nod and what you took as an agreeing grumble.
'So you'll take it then?' he questioned
'Uh yeah, yes, sir? If you let me?' Christ, why did he make you so damn nervous? And why did you just call him sir?!
You swear you saw something close to amusement flash through his eyes.
'Right.' He responded, 'There is something else I wanted to fill you in on.'
You walked back to the door and followed him as he made his way back to the kitchen.
'I'm leaving for a six-month tour soon, so I won't be home much.'
tour?
'You in a band or something?' you half joked
'I'm in the army.'
Idiot. Absolute fucking idiot.
'Right...sorry' You wished the floor would swallow you whole. 'So when do you leave?
'in 9 days.'
'Oh wow, that is soon.'
"Don't worry about the rent, I'll continue to pay half. I didn't wanna lose this place but It seemed kinda dumb to pay full rent on a place I won't be living in for six months", he explained
Sy turned around and rummaged through a kitchen drawer.
'Feel free to make yourself at home just water the plants and don't touch my stuff.' He said as he turned around and handed you your key.
'Yes, sir.'
Really? Again with this?
A couple days later, you moved in. Living with Sy wasn't much different from living alone. The two of you had dinner together a few times. Well 'together' meaning 'sitting on the same couch and not talking'.
Sy would have some sports game on as he took big bites from his mac and cheese while you took considerably smaller bites from yours and read a romance novel cheesier than your pasta.
You were mostly at work during the day and when you came home you'd go straight to your room to finish unboxing your stuff. Ironic actually, how you were busy unpacking while Sy was busy doing the opposite.
'Is that all?' you asked, staring at his bag. 'Are you sure you have everything? You're going for 6 months right?'
Sy gave you an unamused look.
'It's an army tour, not a girl scout camp.'
'I'll have you know I never took more than one pink trolly to girl scout camp.' You stated proudly, earning another barely amused look from the big grump.
'I guess I'll see you in six months then.' You said, not really knowing how to act. You stared at Sy in his army uniform. He looked good. Strong. Masculin.
Ugh, that word again.
You needed to stop drooling over him. You still hadn't even really figured out if you even liked him. Well, parts of you certainly liked him...
ENOUGH, BRAIN. STOP.
You felt the urge to hug him but opted against it.
'Please don't burn the place down.' He said as he opened the front door
'I'll try.' you grinned.
Sy gave you another one of his unamused looks, which you were starting to think were secretly very amused looks. He picked up his back and opened the door.
'Hey Sy?' you halted him 'Be uh...be careful and stuff.'
For the first time since you met him two weeks ago, you saw his lips curl up a tiny bit.
It was quite unsettling.
'I don't wanna get stuck here paying rent alone.' You added
''Alright, princess, sure thing.'
and with that, he left, leaving you there in your new apartment, silent, alone, and a little...aroused?

Current rambling thoughts on dieting/weight loss, nothing that's a downer:
Back in April I got blood test results that showed my cholesterol was high and my sugar was barely shy of being diabetic. It spooked the shit out of me, as despite being fat most of my life, I was also pretty healthy and somewhat active. It was after getting covid that I was so fatigued I dropped the active thing pretty much entirely.
The doctor was more focus on the sugar, and recommended cutting back simple sugars, adding in more fiber, and increasing my weekly activity.
I'd been wanting to get back into shape for a long, long time but I've been nervous about trying the gym again. My dad was one of those shithead people that secretly films people in the gym doing things 'wrong' or committing the sin of being fat in public. It had me terrified of trying to get fit where other people could see me, because you know, most people don't want to be mocked.
Lucky me, I have the most amazing, supportive girlfriend ever. She took me by the hand and very gently showed me around the gym, helped me learn how to use the machines, and didn't mind when I shadowed her around as she did her workout. From there, I got excited! I used to LOVE working out, I just mostly did simple stuff, running, and swimming. I did a lot of WiiFit when I was younger, and this one Jillian Michael's DVD I found at Walmart for like $5 at the time. Running was the big one though (hello Zombies, Run folks).
So just making those changes (less soda, more fiber, more exercise) over the course of maybe 3ish months I dropped almost 15 lbs. I hadn't been tracking my weight, but I did compare the results the doctor took from my previous three appointments. I was kind of shocked! I've never had a healthy relationship with weight loss, and every time I've tried to lose weight it lead to a lot of heartache, misery, and doubled weight gain. So I more or less wrote off my ability to trim down and decided to just be fat and happy.
I will say though, the extra bulk has recently frustrated me. I can't do yoga the way I used to. My limbs are still flexible but I keep getting blocked by my own fat. I have to go real easy on my joints because of all the extra weight, which is frustrating, because I'd honestly love to try jogging again. I just don't want to fuck my back and knees up again.
I decided to give losing weight another try, with a lot more self-love, after a lot more research, and with the support of someone who has loved me even at my fattest and never said a word about it.
It hasn't been too hard this time. I don't feel like I'm depriving myself. I am impatient, I want to see results NOW, but obviously that's not how things work. And slow is better anyway.
I know tumblr has a generally negative view on weight loss, and I fully include myself in that. I bought into the 'starvation mode means you'll never ACTUALLY lose weight permanently) thing, I was convinced anyone trying to lose weight had the same disordered ideas on it that I used to have (and still struggle with sometimes). It's a loaded topic for a hundred reasons, so I am trying to be conscious of when I talk about it and around who. Hence the tags and putting it under a cut. I'm happy and excited to be trying this out, putting my health first, trying to feel strong and capable in my body, but I absolutely know first hand how upsetting hearing about dieting can be. Not to mention how hard it is to avoid the more toxic side of trying to change your diet and fitness.
I've found a lot of resources that are very facts based, cut and dry, and leave out the moralizing behind weight loss and weight gain and just weight in general. There are a lot of very encouraging resources as well.
So yeah! As said, this is just a ramble, I like to write to get my thoughts down, and it always comes easier when it feels like I'm talking to someone, not just myself. I probably won't post a lot about this, but it's been just over a week since I started tracking my food and daily weight specifically, which always used to be something that would send me into a bad habit spiral. This time feels different. I've been doing fine. There have been a few moments of disappointment, but they've been easy to shake off. Mostly I'm just astounded to learn more about the macros involved in the food I eat, and I'm also happy to have tools to help me find portions that make me feel full and not stuffed. On the days I've been not kept to my deficit goals, it was because I was hungry and decided it was more worth it to feed myself than stick to a number and I didn't feel a bit of guilt about it afterward.
I'm pretty pleased with how it's going so far. I feel stronger, I feel more energetic, and tracking my food intake and weight makes the part of my brain that loves a spreadsheet very happy.

#8: Pest Control
Redditor's Kinktober, Day 8
A/N: The original prompt was 'Slave Training' but 1) the girlies aren't into BDSM that much, 2) so they wouldn't be up for Master/slave; 3) I have icks at this kink, it's my squick, oops.
That day, Imelda had done enough. She decidedly put herself between Julia and everything Julia was planning to be doing, jokingly hinting at the dorm rule of no intercourses while in training but no such rule at home. Julia, alone while Poppy was sent away with the Ministry's research group, could only sigh at her evident arousal.
Imelda was unbearable to look at and impossible to talk with. Two weeks of no girl time turned her into a feromone-induced feral, flesh-eating animal. Hot, but nit when I'm busy, Julia sighed.
However, she didn't say no. She said, "I'm at yours when I'm done, in the evening. Until then". She added, quickly, "Don't think of me finding you with hand you-know-where, though, lest you want me to cancel any plans on you".
As muggles would say, it likely fused her switches. All of them. At once.
She crossed few lines here and there, but nothing yet too drastic, yet. Her demeanour was quite too telling and no amount of menial tasks—those included doing her own bags of dirty laundry and drawers—could subside the amount of filth came out her mouth and passed on with her gestures. Neither food was able to calm her down even to a bit, and Julia didn't risk putting anything to her suppers, nor hugs bothered her all that much while outside of the study.
So, the evening.
Julia was about to enter the restroom to change into her usual gawn. Her step was interrupted.
Imelda ran up to her, glided on her knees dragging on on a carpet, and held on her legs, head rested against her boney arse.
"Fuck me," she begged.
Julia tried not to snort. She really tried. She became red in the face.
"I'll change and—"
"Now."
Julia thought of it as of another whinning. Imelda, through, nearly clawed her sith nails, and her nail plates were trimmed short.
A plan contrived itself in Julia's head then.
Few words, a sternly said order, and several wand movements later, Julia entered the restroom left Imelda tied by each limb to each bed post, naked.
Cussing followed her in and greeted her as she was out. Imelda looked excited, everywhere.
In fact she was noticeably wet.
Her pussy was glossing.
"Finally!" Imelda buckled upwards. "Lay on me".
"Oh? Nonono, not so fast, girl. I'm sorry we couldn't come by and fuck you with a mercy of a bluger, it doesn't and shouldn't mean you can pester us—me—this much".
"Enough with your coy, get to my cunt!"
Julia smirked. Imelda hid her mortification poorly; she knew she was in no place to demand anything being firmly attached to a bed like a bed sheet.
A very wet, naughty piece of sex fabric that Julia would climb on up and grind her for until she sees no more than colourful sparkles.
"No, Melly. You stole my time, and I will take from your orgasm. It won't be quick. And if you complain of anything but pain, I'm unleashing the twigs."
Twigs—her arms—would leave Imelda's arse burning.
"You will be restricted in movement, too. Same pose but you'll chew on the pillows," Julia warned.
Imelda could always contemplate and refuse, of course. Julia had no intentions of proceeding if that wasn't part of the excitement. Yet Imelda only saif another filthy thing and complained her clit could use a lickety-blippety excercise.
Filthy pest needs much needed discipline on and outside the field, it seems, Julia frowned glancing at her hips stuck in a slow swaying motion.
She'll have her lesson then.

☃️ Your secret santa is here to inform you your gift is currently in the works ☃️!!
Some fun questions of the day:
-Share with me some of your favorite Tamlin/ Lucien/ Tamcien headcanons? Any one of the three!
-Who do you think would make the first move out of the two 🤭?
-Fav tamcien fics? For research purposes 😇.
Excited to be back in your inbox! Hope you have a lovely week!!
-🎅🎄
Hi Santa! I'm so excited!! 💖 Please forgive your poor giftee for taking so long to respond. Her (my) brain has been absolute mush these last couple of days 🥲 but your lovely ask has nonetheless been in her (my) thoughts!
Tamlin/Lucien/Tamcien headcanons?? Let's see!
Despite SJM's best efforts to describe Lucien as a beefcake (I guess Sam Heughan from Outlander was one such inspiration?), I have always pictured Lucien as more trim and slender. The sword that he carries around sounds like it's supposed to be a classic two-handed fantasy epic-type sword (since Tamlin uses it to pin Amarantha to the wall), but I imagine it to be more of a rapier. Lucien has a fencer's build, and all the bulky beefcake-y Lucien fanart you throw at me cannot change my mind. (Even though I don't mind looking at it anyway. 💕)
Speaking of inspiration... Almost no one mentions that Henry Cavill was mentioned next to Sam Heughan in the acknowledgments in Book 1, and something tells me it didn't have anything to do with Rhys. It's almost a meme at this point to make fun of ACOTAR fancasts that suggest Henry Cavill, but honestly? Henry Cavill in his Witcher era is such a vibe. That grumpiness, that long hair, and his physique scream Tamlin to me, more than any other fancast I've come across. Even though my preference would be to see ACOTAR animated, *if* it ever gets made. Castlevania style, please and thank you.
Random rant, but I wish that ages in the ACOTAR universe were more realistic/consistent. It's implied that Lucien is much younger than Tamlin, while Tamlin and Rhysand are much closer in age. It may not fit canon (hence the headcanon part, haha), but I always thought it made sense for Tamlin and Lucien to be introduced when they were young, then, when Tamlin was older, he met Rhysand at the camps. So he and Rhysand were more like rivals to lovers to enemies, whereas he and Lucien would be acquaintances to friends to lovers, but never enemies. NEVER. Not in my headcanon!!
Who would make the first move, Tamlin or Lucien?
Lucien, most definitely. Tamlin has always struck me as more of an introvert. Lucien is bold, snarky, and isn't afraid to say what's on his mind. Lucien is more likely to regret saying something spiteful in the moment, compared to Tamlin thinking up a clever comeback later in the bathtub. And this has nothing to do with intelligence. Just because Tamlin is blond doesn't make him an idiot! (I hate reddit comments that say otherwise, grumble, grumble)
Favorite Tamcien fics? This is so hard to answer!! 😭
I owe the credit to @praetorqueenreyna for introducing me to the concept of Tamcien in the first place! While her ACOTAR prequel is heartbreaking and beautiful and sad, they don't really become a couple until later on, so this spot is going to go to: you can see my heartbeat tonight. It's perfect for when I'm in the mood for both sugar and spice. Honorable mention to her: cingulomania, when I'm in the mood for whump and angst!
I know next to nothing about the Omegaverse, but this short Tamcien fic crossed my dash during one such fandom event, and I could not get over how cute it was: Lightwork by @highlordofkrypton. Snark and cuddling?? Yes, please!
While searching on AO3 for some ideas, I stumbled across a bridge between us by @yaralulu and OH MY is it lovely. My heart almost shattered halfway through.
I'm sure there's more but my brain has threatened to turn to mush again. Thank you for asking though! I got to revisit some old favorites, and now I've added more to my TBR! ❤️
Thank you for checking in, Santa Dear! Have a lovely week yourself!

To make up for my terrible Monday, I had an AMAZING Friday, which I randomly had free of work and so I went to TOWN, going to bed early enough that I was naturally awake by 8:30 and ready to leave before 11 (even dawdling and having a nice breakfast), plotting an efficient garage sale route of six stops with an estimated ~45 minutes of driving (roughly in a circle, even, so it was only 10 mins to home after that), and then having such an absolute blast stopping at every additional sale AND Little Free Library I passed along the way that I was out for five hours.
Even with a 25-minute diversion to a dollar store, because I hadn't originally expected to be out for more than 2-3 hours max and so hadn't brought anything to drink and was FEELING the humid, 90-degree weather by mid-afternoon (even though for most of the day, there was enough breeze that, driving in air conditioning, it didn't honestly feel too awful!)...I managed to fit in every stop I'd planned, getting to my last one at 4:15, because they were the only ones open 'til 5 instead of 4. Perfectly timed!!
Got back, had a nice cool shower that felt AMAZING, then did the dishes, and am now preheating the oven (yes despite the heat :P) for a Hawaiian pizza + Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire** viewing night w/ husband and it's gonna be great!
(**have I ever seen a ghostbusters movie in my life, including the one to which this I think this is a sequel? Nope! But all I need ever is a good cast and a rating below R, and I like this cast, so I am excited.)
And I got some things, too, but I actually can't remember them all because I just scored left and right and it's almost pizza time, so I'm gonna do Neopets dailies and then log off. Will round up tomorrow, I guess.
For now, just gonna say: the absolute best part of my day was petting a black and tan longhaired mini Dachshund, who was so petite and trim I think even our cat is bigger than her, and we do not have a large cat.
She was wearing a snazzy pink harness, which sadly blocked some of her fur, but she was still SO very sweet, climbing up on my leg while I was crouched to look at a box of books, accepting head pats, and then turning around to flop into a classic Dog Lean pose, resting her tiny weight against me to accept further petting.
Long-haired dachshunds: officially added to the short list of Small Dog breeds I'd be cool with owning.

Any thoughts on the recently announced Resplendent Ninian?
Yesss, I honestly can't say I'm surprised they chose Nifl, but the outfit itself and the art is super pretty.
Resplendent Ninian drawn NOT by Wada Sachiko, but by Naruse Uroko. Totally didn't mess it up:
The INCORPORATION, my goodness. This is Nifl incorporation to a T, and I think Naruse Uroko's art actually benefits this more because Uruoko uses a more vibrant color scheme, and it looks so gorgeous on Ninian. The powdered texture on the lower half of the gown, the scarf, the feather trim, and I LOVE the snowflake ornaments on her belt with the feathers, and those little snowflake hairclips! Plus they added a cape (whereas originally Ninian did not have one) in the style of the Nifl capes. This is gonna sound kind of shitty to Suzuhito Yasuda, but Resplendent Ninian actually looks like what Nifl should have looked like, design-wise. THIS is an Ice Dragon Deity.
So pretend like I didn't mess up and get Naruse Uroko mixed up with Wada Sachiko. I adore the color-work on this and I also love how bright the eyes are, and I love that they gave Ninian a little smile. I will say the pose in the attack portrait isn't exciting, but then again considering the way the outfit is formatted there's not a whole lot you can do with the art for Ninian (though azu-taro definitely did but I'm not gonna knock Sachiko for that). And like I mentioned above, the vibrant color choice for Ninian actually outshines the original Nifl Royals art that Maeshima Shigeki did in terms of color-scheme.
There's honestly no point in asking if Nifl fit, lmao.
This is honestly a lovely Resplendent, dare I say it's probably the best Nifl Resplendent we've gotten lately, though Resplendent Julia and Resplendent Azura are still great Nifl Resplendents. A well-earned 10/10 from me.
#Fire Emblem Heroes#FEH#ask game#Seriously I'm still a little hung-up on how lacking Nifl and Muspell's designs were and Resplendent Ninian really looks like#What Nifl SHOULD have looked like

All the Women's Clothing Thus Far
I have purchased fabrics! I selected 1895 as my year (for the Sleeves).
I sketched dresses and made my plans! Basically everything is taken directly from a fashionplate/extant garment, or it's via my director's instructions.
Just in case you're needing to scroll through this blog for less than Ten Thousand Years, I'll put a cut here. Details and fashionplates below!
Gwendolin's first outfit will be a light blue satin, almost identical to this fashionplate. With an added uneven hem (from an extant garment) for *drama.* And because I already have a stunning periwinkle satin underskirt that's good in both her outfits.
Gwendolin's second outfit is more like traveling clothes, but still trendy and pretty in a nice solid navy blue. I am excessively devoted to this bodice closure. It fits with the above dress so well, and it's also great for Gwendolin--she doesn't know which direction she's going!
I also love a cape, and capes were popular to go over the giant sleeves. I drew a zigzag hem detail on the overskirt, but I'm not sold on it yet. We'll see. I also think I'll let my actress take off the first bodice and just wear a white shirt underneath. Mostly just the neck ruffle will show.
Cecily's dress is my director's favorite already. She asked me if a tiered skirt was an option. I found a fashionplate from 1898 and an extant garment from a similar time, so why not? I drew a pointed lace neck, but I want it to be rounded now.
Her fabric is an exquisite thick cream-colored satin with big roses woven into it. (Thrift store curtains, and they make me very happy.) Every layer will be finished with pink hem binding, and all the details will be pink!
Lady Bracknell's first outfit is a matter of some consternation. I have a deep mauve satin skirt made by someone in my church. She gave me permission take it down to fit my actress (which is perfect for the gathering in the back!). In the drama supplies, I found a satin shawl (left over from Pride and Prejudice) in the same color with some pretty gold trim. The only problem is that my actress hates it. Well, we told her, Lady Bracknell likes it.
I've paired it with a somewhat brown-er satin for the top. I also am shopping from the same local spot as the last director, so I have more of the same trim available to me! The vertical lines of lace are inspired by many many fashionplates. That main piece of lace, however, is specifically from one photo that I forgot to save. It's one big piece from neck to hem. It's entirely too much, and I love it excessively, and Lady Bracknell would too, I'm sure.
Lady Bracknell's second outfit will basically be a recreation of this, but with long sleeves and in turquoise satin (also formerly curtains) and gold. I am excessively excited.
We decided that she didn't need traveling clothes in the second act. Gwendolin made a decision to go to the countryside. Her mother is chasing her down in a panic. Personally I'm thrilled about the rosettes.
Miss Prism's dress took some deciding. Many versions of the play have put her in working woman's reform dress, or added a vest and tie. We like that, but ultimately we think Jack takes better care of his servants than that. My director sent me a reference photo and a color palette, but I hadn't found a single thing for her yet. So, I went fabric shopping, knowing that the right thing would jump out and bite me.
It did indeed! I found a white fabric with olive green stripes made from leaf shapes. Then on the next rack I found an olive green fabric with white pinstripes. Then on the final rack I found a complimentary deeper green. If it isn't perfect for her! I might put the zigzag hem detail on her dress, but we'll have to see.
I've hit photo limit, so I'll reblog this post to add my fabric photos!

I love the Terry's hairdresser story and the Max eyebrow one that it's given me an idea...what if you are Max's hairdresser and he likes you and is always very flirty? Max wears his hair quite short so I imagine he needs a haircut frequently...maybe it's just an excuse to see you. You assume he is just flirty with everyone but then romance blossoms? that would be so cute, and you are so good at writing Max!! thank you 🥰

First of all thank you so much for your kind words anon 🖤 It means a lot to me that you like my writings 🥺I'm more than happy to write that for you 🤗
It was Monday morning around ten o'clock when my coworkers and I got our stations ready for the day. I absolutely loved working in that small salon and I absolutely loved the people that came to get their hair done . Especially one charming police officer that came in regularly for a trim. He was a very funny and adorable guy and today we had another appointment. "Good morning ladies." I heard his voice when he entered the salon. "Well good morning officer, long time no see." I said greeting him. He gave me one of his cheeky smiles . "Yeah it's been a while. I hope you didn't miss me too much." "Oh the yearning for your presence was almost unbearable." I said playfully guiding him to my station. He took a seat and took his beanie off. "Oh I see it really must be a while. Your troll army grew." he pointed at the little toy trolls that were standing on the shelves. "You noticed? I got a few at a flea market recently. Alright what are we doing today?" I asked while running my fingers through his soft dark hair. "Well I thought about a perm maybe? I always wanted to look like Bob Ross.He got all the ladies, you know"Max said wiggling his eyebrows. I punched his shoulder. "Yeah of course, so a little trim as usual." "Yep you know exactly how I like it." he said leaning back in his chair. I added shampoo and started with a gentle scalp massage. "So something new in the adventures of Max Parish?" "Not really actually, oh I recently jumped into a closing roll up door." my eyes went wide. "Oh my god, did you hurt yourself?" he sighed "No just my ego. But it would have looked really cool if I was just a little faster." "Oh I bet. Can you look down please. Yes like that thank you." "How have you been doing?" "Oh well there's nothing really exciting I could tell you." "Anything you say is interesting to me. I mean how long do we know each other? I love talking to you Y/N, I really do." he said smiling at me through the mirror. "That's very nice of you Max. So finished, how do you like it?" I said showing the haircut in the mirror. " It's perfect as always Y/N thank you. Oh and before I forget it. Here's a present for you. I saw this and thought of you." he handed me a small package.

Commissioning Music
So what does it mean to commission music, as opposed to making it? It helps to think of me as a Patron of the Arts--thus, The Gay Patron.
I've hated how little fun LGBT-centric music exists in the genres I enjoy most; those genres can be summarized as, "anything you might hear at a Renaissance Fair".
Every song starts with an idea--or, really, two ideas: one for the content of the lyrics, and one for the type of instrumental.
Let's take my upcoming release, Who we Are and Who We Love, for example. I hired a lyricist, Travis Myles, who I found in an LGBT Professionals group on social media. He had written religious content in the past, which was appealing because I wanted the song to make references to Christian hostility.
I provided a short creative brief, "I'm looking for an LGBT march to war against Christianity. Something uplifting, as a rallying cry. Not in the march genre, but a march to war such as in these sample songs. I don't want Christianity named overtly; show, don't tell. And include as much of the rainbow as you can, with the same show, don't tell, style."
We went through a few rounds of revision. Some were structural, "the tone focuses too much on us being victims; we're too passive in our story. Turn it around: make these slights against us become our weapons. Have us do so actively. Rally us."
Others were much smaller, like, "I like the concept you have here, but that word makes it very America-centric. Here are some ideas for making it more universal."
When it was finished, I had lyrics that met my specifications, but still showcased the writer's personal style. That was important to me; even though I'm commissioning this music, I'm not looking for something that's perfect as I'd write it, otherwise, why wouldn't I just learn to write it myself? It's as much about our community as it is about my tastes.
Next, I went to the musician. I exclusively hire Ruben Monteiro, via Fiverr. Why? He specializes in hurdy gurdy, and has a wide range of specialty instruments that he plays at a high level of skill. I can get bagpipes, an oud, even a riqq through him. And every single time, he tries to understand my goal--and he nails it very quickly!
I provide a short brief to him. For this upcoming song, it was to the effect of, "I'm looking for a march to war similar to these samples. I specifically want it to be uplifting, not at all somber. Hurdy gurdy as the lead, and I really want to include the riqq again, but I'm open to your recommendation about the other instruments."
He starts with a digital composition and a warning that the real version will sound better. 🤣 This time, though, he realized the lyrics were a bit long: 6.5 minutes vs the usual 4, and he felt it didn't showcase the powerful chorus enough. He recommended cutting 2 verses.
Those verses had some great lyrics, so I opted to trim it myself. Instead of cutting them, I pulled out the lines that I thought were less powerful, and re-combined the ones that remained in a way that made sense.
This allowed me to remove the equivalent of 2 verses, but keep the meaning. And of course the lyricist was sent the new version! (Side note: I absolutely do not take a writing credit in my commissions. Even after a significant structural change like that.)
Once the chorus repetitions were added, the song remained 6.5 minutes. And after hearing the first draft, I realized it would sound even better with some harmony. I identified where I'd like it, and Ruben hired another singer to fill in those parts.
The final song is absolutely incredible, and I'm really excited to share it soon! The distributor is out of office until tomorrow, then it takes about a week to process on Spotify and other platforms. When it's ready, I hope you enjoy it!

Making BIG SIF2 (Part 2)
Hello again. In case you missed the first part of this project, I'm trying to recreate an old SIF(1) attraction where nine players jump around on floor buttons to play the game cooperatively. Last time, I went into how those buttons work, how they connect to the game, and completed the first switch.
Just need to do that eight more times.
This is another post with a bunch of text I'm writing down as I work on the project, in case you want to see where it's going or want to build something similar yourself. The TL;DR is that all floor switches are done now, I had to change the button mapping app, and found a nice solution for selecting songs and starting Lives - and then there's a video of me trying (emphasis on trying) to play BIG SIF solo.
This is the part of a project where there's nothing to do but boring, repetitive work. There is more interesting stuff to do, but you can't get to it before you just spend several hours doing the same thing over and over again, and it's hard to get excited to do it. So, even though this was probably the most time-consuming step of the project with 25+ hours, it can be summarized in one sentence: there are now eight more functioning switches.
This involved cutting out a total of 24 more shelf liner circles, clipping holes into 8 more rug pad spacers and 8 of the shelf liners, inserting 128 snap caps, crimping 16 connectors, and placing all the copper tape and soldering it together. One small change I made is that I added a little bit of copper tape to move all the connectors a bit to the side, so you don't step right on it when going for a press, and also gave it a generous glob of hot glue to serve as strain relief. Also, I had to purchase more anti-slip rug pad after all - turns out most of the one I owned was too flat to work properly. Oops. With the new rug pad, I noticed this beady style of rug pad is more stretchy on one axis than the other, so these layers are not rotationally symmetrical. To help with that, I cut out the corner where the connectors are glued on - not only does this make that spot a little flatter, but it also makes it easy to tell which orientation the pads must be placed when assembling the switches to align everything correctly.
Since I don't own any proper presses, all of the snap caps and crimp connectors had to be done by hand. That - combined with all the liner cutting, rug pad trimming, and soldering - has not been a fun time for my wrist :) It might be a good idea to invest into snap cap and crimp presses instead of pliers, it's probably cheaper than replacing my wrist down the road... and for the soldering, I'll probably just go with copper tape with conductive adhesive next time as mentioned before, to avoid that problem altogether.
Speaking of crimp connectors: add 36 more to the count for those connecting cables, and 18 more for the other ends on the controller board. The latter one just involved replacing the little button connectors the board comes with, which would usually make it easier to wire up arcade panels.
As for the cables, those are speaker wire. It's probably extremely overkill for a simple signal wire. I originally wanted to use dirt-cheap doorbell wire which would have been more than enough to carry the signal even over long runs, but there were two reasons I didn't go with it. One reason is that doorbell wire is solid wire. But if people might step on the wire, or I want to roll up and transport the parts of this project, stranded wire is far more durable, so I wanted to make sure to use it for the extra reliability. The other reason is that it was on sale :) I decided on buying a 25m roll and having each cable be 2m long - which is probably somewhat overkill again, but for things like cable length, I'd rather go too long than too short.
But hey, we've got over the mountain that is the boring and repetitive part of the project, and now we can ride down the hill to the finish!
Wait, no, that would have been too easy. Of course there's problems.
There was something that I completely missed in my test from the first post. I only had one floor switch, so I didn't try an actual song, which would have uncovered a big issue with using Key Mapper: it doesn't support pressing multiple buttons at once. If one player holds down a switch for a hold note, and another player taps their switch, the hold immediately ends. And of course, I didn't notice that problem until I actually had multiple floor switches completed.
After a few hours of searching and experimenting, I could only find one other app that worked. It is called Mantis, and it sucks. It contains ads, requires a weird and completely intransparent set up procedure through a wireless ADB debugging session, you must map the inputs of the arcade controller board to an Xbox controller layout before you can use them or they'll just be ignored, there's an unremovable menu button on your screen at all times, the map can't be programmatically disabled to stop the buttons from inputting for a moment, and I've found it's maybe a little unreliable? It just suddenly stopped while the game was running once. But as I said, it's the only one that I've found that works. So, I'll have to live with it. At least it supports the holds that Key Mapper doesn't do. So, you can play the game fine now. We can get back to finishing up the setup.
But before that, have you noticed though some of the mapped tap locations for the buttons are slightly off from the center of the spots in the game? I intentionally moved them a little, so they still hit the tap spots during Lives, but miss certain menu buttons! For example, the tap locations for spots 4 and 6 are moved down, so they don't hit the menu buttons while the game is paused. Otherwise, the player on floor switch 6 could accidentally use up my loveca if they kept stomping on the button after their stamina ran out and continued…
Here's everything connected together! The nine completed switches, all linked up to the board, and all that's left to do is set up Mantis and the HDMI output on the phone, plug in the single USB-C cable, and it's ready to play!
But before we plug everything into the phone, I really quickly want to note something about the adapter: The adapter required for this project was not just about needing a way to go from USB-A to USB-C - after all, that could have been solved even easier by just replacing the USB-B-to-A cable of the board with a USB-B-to-C cable and connecting it directly to the phone. As you might have been able to tell from the cover picture from the first post, playing BIG SIF on the phone screen is kind of... not optimal. So, the adapter had to have both an USB-A port and an HDMI port, so you could show the game on a TV or projector!
The adapter I ended up picking not only had those two ports, but also two more USB-A sockets and an USB-C socket. The USB-C port is for power delivery - everything runs off of the phone battery if it is not used, but this allows you to use a powerbank to extend the battery, or just plug in a wall charger so you don't have to worry about it at all. And the other USB-A ports come in really handy, as well. One of them can be used for an Ethernet adapter, which can vastly improve the stability of the required internet connection, if available. As for the other USB-A... one problem I hadn't considered at all is the game menus. As in, song selection and actually getting into the game. Of course, you could always just walk over to the phone, and try to find the correct tap spot on the screen that is turned off, then walk back to the switches - but there's a better approach thanks to that last USB port, with a wireless keyboard I had around already:
This one in particular is a wireless keyboard and touchpad combo, which gets recognized as a generic keyboard and mouse on any device you can plug it into - including Android. So now, you can use the touchpad on that to move around a cursor and do the menuing that way, without having to run back and forth! It's still a little awkward to control the pointer via the touchpad, but there's more that you can do: the keyboard part is not actually needed for this project, since we don't need to type any text... and Key Mapper is sitting idle now that we replaced it with Mantis, so how about we pass the keyboard to it? The keyboard won't have to deal with multiple simultaneous presses, so by setting up keys from it in Key Mapper, we can get an entire keyboard worth of buttons to map even more taps to! That way, instead of having to move the cursor across the screen, you can select and start songs by just pressing a few keys in order. And Mantis still handles the floor switches, so holding down the buttons still works fine, no matter how many are pressed.
Also, yes, I am planning to run regular Lives when playing on this. You might be wondering - "Why? There's a Rehearsal mode now, wouldn't that be better for something like this?" And the answer is yes, it absolutely would be, since I don't have to care about LP or running out of HP during a Live then! But the Rehearsal mode has a static background (see video below) instead of the cool Live Monitor, so I'll be happy to sacrifice my LP candies for the cool effects :) I'm not going to ever use all of them, anyways. And as for the HP problem, I could just add some healers... and if anyone ever wants to see how badly a Master chart would go, I can still start a Rehearsal by clicking on that button using the touch pad.
~~~ a quick little bit of an aside
Speaking of Rehearsal though, even if I'm not using that mode - can I just say how much I appreciate SIF2's gameplay direction? It just feels like the game is far more about "having fun just playing songs" than SIF1. There's changes like the ability to restart songs right from the pause menu if you're aiming for an FC, not losing LP if you fail, all songs being unlocked from the start - but also, obviously, the addition of the Rehearsal mode, where you can play any song without using LP and with infinite HP. One key result of this kind of design is that the game is far less punishing for making a mistake, and I think it invites people to challenge themselves to higher difficulties. There's no need to play it safe anymore: If you're curious about whether you could pass a Master chart, you can just play it, without having to worry about failing and wasting resources anymore. If the chart ends up being too hard, you don't lose any LP or other resources. You can choose to either run it back as many times as you want, or to play another song, neither option carrying any penalty. That makes the harder difficulties so much more approachable, and I think it's a fantastic change.
~~~ back to your regularly scheduled programming
With the system fully set up, it can finally be played! The problem being, I don't have nine players here, just one. I tried a couple times, but it went about as well as you'd expect, even on Normal - it's kind of hard to consistenly find and hit the floor switches while staring at the screen. But it does work! All the buttons work great (as long as I can hit them)! And even with me stepping on the connectors and cables and kicking the switches around by accident, they don't immediately break.
So with that, the project is technically done! All the switches are functional, you can play BIG SIF as intended, and I can bring the controller system anywhere. That's a massive milestone done, of course - but overall, this project still very much in the "janky mess of cables" state. So there's still some stuff to do...
On the next part of Making BIG SIF2: making it nice, making it good. Probably at least a box to put everything in, maybe something to improve reliability, maybe make the interface something better than just a keyboard with labels on it? Let's see how far I can take this
update: you can find the third part here!

September 22-28, 2013
Sunday:
I started working on graphics, but it was difficult at the start. Frustration simmered as I struggled with the software. Needing a break, I picked up Nick Joaquin's "Culture and History." The rich narrative drew me in, and soon I was engrossed. After reading Esquire, I started following Erwin Romulo, intrigued by his insights.
My parents, always looking for new experiences, sought some spa treatments. I couldn't shake the feeling that these treatments seemed a bit scammy, but I kept my thoughts to myself.
Monday:
Classes kicked off with an experimental session. The thrill of discovery buzzed through the air as we delved into our projects. The transition to computer tasks was smooth, though there was a hiccup with the Ecology class schedule, forcing us to move to a new room. The shuffling of papers and hushed conversations filled the hall as we adjusted to the change.
Tuesday:
In Abnormal Psychology, we watched a movie about the life of Freddie Mercury, igniting our love for "The Queen" and "Bohemian Rhapsody." The class felt more like a cozy movie night, with everyone exchanging excited whispers and sharing insights.
By the second week, classes were becoming more serious. The initial excitement settled into a steady rhythm of lectures and assignments. The weight of the workload began to press down, but I was determined to keep up.
Wednesday:
We had another sample experimental session to learn methods from statistics. The meticulous process of setting up experiments and analyzing data felt both challenging and rewarding. The hum of concentration filled the room as we applied our theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.
Thursday:
Philosophy classes were fascinating, thanks to the engaging instructor. My deadpan humor added a touch of levity to the otherwise intense discussions, earning a few chuckles from my classmates.
Here's the twist: as we were moving classrooms and teachers, I was texting Mansoor. I found myself in a new room beside the gym, sitting in the front row. Suddenly, someone called my last name softly. When I looked up, my eyes widened—it was Sir Apollo. He just stared at me. I gave a faint smile but felt a wave of nervousness wash over me. My heart raced as I struggled to maintain my composure. He sported a new haircut, a standard men’s 1 by 1 cut, undershaved. His mustache and beard were cleanly trimmed. Every ten minutes, I felt his gaze on me, a silent reminder of our complicated history.
"I'm still young at 34, so we are all young people here," he said, his voice carrying a hint of self-assuredness.
My heart seemed to expand, wanting to jump out of its cage. Robbie, who I didn't particularly like, sat beside me. After the class, I pretended to be interested in his beef with another student, Anthony. Robbie’s arrogance made him an easy scapegoat, keeping Sir Apollo at bay.
Should I drop this class? It’s too late. What would I say? That we crossed ethical boundaries? He crossed ethical boundaries, not me. The thought gnawed at me as I sat in the library, finishing my second task for the week.
Friday:
Another lecture and experimenting in the class. Computer Science was proving to be really fun. Some classmates were Korean, adding a diverse mix to our group. I still practiced the violin to avoid stagnation, losing myself in the familiar melodies.
I learned from Paolo about Jiu-Jitsu or Aikido. I asked if I could try, and he said I could. He gave me the info, and after class, I went to check it out at the YMCA building. Signing up immediately, I chose two times a week—Mondays and Fridays at night from 6 to 7. The thought of learning a new martial art was exhilarating.
Saturday:
In Abnormal Psychology, we received our final requirement: to make a documentary movie. I was paired with Divina, Ally, Angela, Bonnie, and Jane. Once again, I found myself as the default leader, a role I was becoming accustomed to.
Of course, I had to attend my Rizal class. Still seated in front, I could feel Sir Apollo's eyes on me. We exchanged glances, each one charged with unspoken tension. During a small essay writing session, I handed in my work, and he discreetly gave me a post-it: “Let’s talk.”
I stayed for a while, and Robbie did too. He waited for me because we were going to drop and reenroll in the Ecology class together. I told him I’d follow soon.
So I stayed. Sir Apollo pushed the table nearer, making the space between us more intimate. I felt like I was being reprimanded by my teacher, my heart pounding in my chest.
"Sir, I think it's better we don't talk about it," I started before he could speak. He gave me a big smile, one that softened his stern features.
"I wanted to apologize. I lost control, sorry. Gusto ko lang kausapin ka and tell you it’s okay. Hindi ko na uulitin especially this situation of ours. Let’s continue having a good term, okay?"
I smiled and nodded yes, relief washing over me. I said goodbye and left, my heart still racing.
I dropped and reenrolled in Ecology, then went to our classes. The encounter with Sir Apollo left me feeling like my heart was going to jump out of my chest. I kept thinking about it, replaying his words in my mind. After class, I went to the mall with Mansoor. I liked him, but I couldn’t understand the feelings I had for Sir Apollo. I tried to refocus my attention and feelings on Mansoor. I mentioned my Aikido class, and he liked the idea.

Journal 2:
I'm finally done with staff training!! This week has dragged on for so long, with all the classes needed to complete training. On Sunday, the remainder of the counselors arrived for staff training, and we went through a good amount of name and team building games to get to know everyone. On Monday, we spent the day completing first aid and cpr training with our instructor, Jess. After talking through the various ailments campers and people alike might face, we tested, and everyone passed their certification! The class itself always feels a bit long, but all the information is so important, and we always manage to have a good time while doing it. Between Tuesday and Thursday, we began group instruction about various tough topics, along the lines of abuse or a child attempting to run away. We went over emergency procedures and some of the changes to them for the current year. One notable change is the emergency evacuation trail that was trimmed out towards a neighborhood in case of a very dangerous situation at the center of camp. We have also had some guests from NC State visit us for a large group instruction that occurs amongst all of the 4H camps, covering general information that all state employees with access to minors take on. This session would normally happen in Raleigh; however, it didn't work out amongst all three of the 4H camps here in NC. These last few days of training also included a great deal of cleaning up the camp for our first group of campers. This year, the first group of campers is a nontraditional group of special needs kids, where we provide programming, and they rent out the camp to appreciate nature and religion. It's an amazing few days for these campers who otherwise wouldn't be able to attend camp. The first few people for this coming week arrive on Saturday, and their campers will be arriving mid afternoon on Sunday. We will be providing their programming during the day, which include: Archery (which is my area), horses, and canoes, as well as pool time in the afternoon. I've been very emotionally drained from these past few days, although I'm so happy to be done with training and finally start working one on one with campers down at my Archery range. I'm ready to relax a bit this weekend, as well as so excited for campers to arrive and enjoy the summer. I can't believe I've already completed my second full week!!
Hopefully, this is detailed enough for now. It's hard to give a play by play as there is so much that goes on during the day. I am also adding pictures as I go forward, and I really want to personalize my blog to the fullest.

Entry 1.4.7-1 - Farming Simulator
Welcome to my blog. I’m not tagging anything but entry #, so sorry if my unrelated mess somehow ends up in your search.
1.4 is the first named minecraft update (if we don't count Adventure) which is cool I guess.
Our big goals this version are to create a large crop field for the three existing crops (two new ones :D) and to kill the wither three (3) times.
As I've been thinking toward the future of this world, I've realized I need to revamp my goals a bit, especially since I won't be able to open any naturally generating chests until 1.20 if I want to try to get armor trims faster. I've got a complete running list of goals here :)
I'll be killing a lot of zombies to try to get carrots and potatoes, which I'm not complaining about since I'll need a Lot of experience to enchant all of my armor if I want to survive.
oh nononono fuck no fuck that I'm not redoing everything.
I just double checked and there isnt even a new achievement it just decided to wipe. (update: achievements are linked to all worlds, so I can just get them back in a different creative world lmao)
......yeah I think some kind of barn will also need to be constructed, my sheep refuse to be contained. This'll be a full on barnyard farm I guess.
Okay first a quick distraction, forgot maps got improved and item frames were added. Idk when this will be properly displayed but here's a current look around our little village :)
Spent a night in the swamp north of the village (those maps are helping my sense of direction So Much) and while I didn't get any crops, I'm so happy slimes spawn here now.
Now that I've got 30 levels, let's see if I can't get my hands on a nice new pick enchantment
>:V
I've started putting down pens for my sheep, I'm thinking I'll have several of each color so that I can dick around with pixel art or carpets or whatever later. Currently i've got about 6 pens, trying to cover up some water so I can make it 8 (4 on each side) with maybe 2 colors to a pen? or I can resize them to be 16 individual pens but I'm not sure yet.
I've made some good progress on the farmland, I have four 9x9s of 3x3 farming spaces just so I'm prepped for when Beetroot is added. I think I'll have sugarcane and the stalk crops growing along the pathway between, but I still need to finish getting wood for these frames (excuse my floating leaves)
It's been kind of a pain getting the potatoes and carrots to drop from zombies though, maybe I should turn that dungeon from 1.0-2 into a grinder
Okay maybe I'll be fine without the grinder. Also got another disc finally.
Also went ahead and relocated my sheep, it was difficult to get them sorted (god I cannot wait for leads to be added) but I'm not 100% what I plan on doing with all of the overhead space. i need to finish the floors up there, but maybe I'll just throw some hay bales up? Unsure.
Still no carrots BUT I can now say the only discs I'm missing are Mellohi and 11. There won't be another disc added until Pigstep so it's exciting that I'm so close this early on. (also RIP my helmet. and basically all of my armor.)
Maybe next part I will make that zombie grinder. I could convert it into Drowned grinding for copper later too.
next (1.4.7-2)

Day 429 - 431 (1 year, 65 - 67 days)
Heya, how are we today? Hopefully you had a good day. Treat yourself. ^^
Just a quick update for the new TS. This time we have the Piggyback Lightseeker from the Season of Lightseekers. As the name implies this spirit offers the piggyback action. Since I sometimes uber another player, I'm really happy I finally got an upgraded friend emote I can make use of. ^^
They also only cost 123 candles, so pretty average. Also my 176th winged light. I'm slowly getting there. ^^
For the cosmetics, since this is a pretty early season, it isn't too out of this world. The mask is exactly what the other lightseekers have just with a different pattern on it. I got so many copies of this mask now. --
The hairstyle is a bun with a needle poking through it. Gotta admit I like when hairatyles have accessories added to them. It looks nice. ^^
The cape looks like a blue petal cape. You might remember the Shushing Light Scholar, from the same season, who offers a similar cape just with a golden trim instead of a purple one. I was getting excited for this one until I realize I already had something like this.
This is just most of the spirit really. I already own similar things. Oh well, at least the new piggyback looks fun. ^^
Otherwise I have a lot of fun with my kettle. People tend to actually flock around it when I place it down. By the way, I didn't realize at first but the kettle actually works as a chat table! I was genuinely taken aback when I suddenly could read messages. :0
Also the last day of the Days of Fortune happend. Seeing the pier so empty is kinda sad but at least I can wear my usual outfit again. ^^
That has been the update. Just lots of good vibes. See ya next time. ^^
