hobbies include: arts (drawing, making art dolls, sewing, designing outfits/costumes, fashion, ect). i used to do dancing and track running but had to stop due to health complications (im super low energy and cant be as active as most ppl). I LOVE idols so much too.

What i look in a partnerrr?? Uhh nobody shorted than me (162cm) just cuz i cant see them romantically no matter how hard i try. anything is ok honestly as long as I can talk to them for ages and theyre not too loud/chaotic. overall want someone to be as equally as down bad as i am with them for me (if not more haha)

Silver Talks AniManga (14/05/23)

3 new manga this week wao, busy week for m+ (tho there were more I'm not reading) the one of most note is nue, the last of this WSJ serialization round and the one I was looking forward to the most, despite 2 of the other manga being by fujimaki and the shokugeki duo. sadly it didn't live up to my expectations but I talk about it more under there 👇

also I watched all anime episodes yesterday since mal was down for like 3 days thanks to a brainless hacker, I know I coulda just watched and updated it after it got fixed but I stubbornly like to do things a certain way tehe anyhoo

oh also there was a new chap of strike it rich but because of how comikey works I can't read it for free til there's a new chap in 2 week (yikes) so that's why it's not here, I'll be keeping a lookout for alternative sources for it but until then I'll just have to be behind ugh

honestly the last or this episode coulda been the last and the anime woulda prob been a lot better, dunno how they're gonna fill 6 more episodes but we'll see. it was cute seeing the backstory of megumin's cape, staff and eyepatch tho

Imas CG: U149 Ep6

very good episode, in every way, voices, character acting, like usual I know ofc ofc. it's funny seeing haru always comparing idol stuff to soccer to make it more relatable to herself while the producer plays along (as he should) while everyone else is flabbergasted. as soon as they were talking about outfits at the start I knew what the ep was gonna be about (and what the solution was) but it was still good. and let me tell you, it was extremely brained for them to have the new LiPPS song as the insert for the anime at the same time as the event for it came out in the game, it's free hype real estate baby.

Mashle Ep6

I was actually pretty impressive with how the fight looked (compared to the rest of the anime) and the addition of him and mash's reflection on the metal (wasn't in the manga I checked) was really cool. it gives me some hope for the future of the anime, not much but some hope.

Pokemon Horizons Ep6

good ep but it's weird as hell just seeing shiny ray in an anime episode. done with the roy introduction arc so things can start moving forward now, tho they still won't be getting to paldea next time. however they did tease that the bocchi voiced character is part of the ship, which is funny cause they always show the damn duck in her videos so it was right there all along, we're just blind fools

Jigokuraku Ep7

nice episode, next one is gonna be The Door and the start of quite a long stretch of action, tho it won't extend to the finale. considering where we are I have a pretty good idea where it'll end (setting off from the cave iykyk). I thought it was pretty funny how they straight up just delete the tensen's nipples instead of using god rays or stuff like that since it'd be too much of a bother during fights, and honestly I much prefer this to making the fights look worse. however they did use god rays to censor mei so that was good. also also when I was reading it I said this, and during the ep I looked it up and they do indeed all have the same seiyuu, one for the female form (kaida yuuko) and another for the male (suwabe junichi), so that's v fun, glad they actually went through with it

Manga

Nue's Exorcist Ch1

MAN, out of the 4 new series, even with fujimaki and the shokugeki duo, this was the series I was the most excited for but if I had to be honest it had the weakest ch1 out of all of them :( it's a real shame. the art is really good, very clean lines and very readable, everything stands out as it should and the designs are good. however, I don't think it did a good enough job at setting up it's premise as the other 3, rn it's basically just the mc going "I want to be strong enough to protect everyone" and I don't think that's enough. we'll see how it goes in the next few chaps, but if something of note doesn't happened in the next handful of chaps I could easily see it suffering the same fate as tokyo demon bride which would be sad. I'll try to keep my hope up anyway, I know I only feel like this cause I had such high expectations for it when I shouldn't but oh well

Blooming Love Ch1 - 3

didn't really have any expectations going in but it's pretty cute art club president meets a craftsman girl, who is trying to get better at art, and becomes captivated by how earnest she is about things art is very nice and clean and the characters are expressive, could be a nice little romance if it can last for some time

Kindergarten WARS Ch1 - 3

jump + title and first indie series to get picked up by m+ it's kinda like an alt universe sakamoto, the premise is "the safest kindergarten in the world" which is protected by criminals trying to earn their freedom it currently has around 30 chaps so it's gonna take a while to catch up even if they do 2 or 3 chaps a week anyway it's good, I was the most surprised by how good the action looks but even outside of that it's good. at the end of chap 2 I was like "I hope the formula isn't always like this or it'll get old fast" but chap 3 was completely different so that got rid of my worries. I can totally see why it's so popular in jp (over 1M views weekly) so looking forward to the extra chaps til we catch up in the coming months

you know, last chap I was bitching about this flashback arc being a bit too long but that ending was just great, really managed to stick the landing there

I knew there was no way they were gonna meet so fast, especially after they mentioned the sky trip at the beggining but still had some hope argh. karen teasing ayame was good too tho lol, and those pages with taiki reminiscing about past moments with natsu were fitting for a chap100, overall really good chap

chap felt longer than it was, but it makes sense since it's nisio and has so much text. I was worried cause of cipher's continuously low placements, but it doesn't seem to be wrapping up yet so that gives me some hope. tho it could just end suddenly and that'd be wack but we'll see... good chap tho, iroha finally making up with toshusai's other goon and introducing the new conflict and "villains" for the upcoming arc. I really do hope it doesn't get canceled it'd be a shame to lose a nisio series

continuation of the plot from last time, nice lil chap, despite how annoying yuri is, but the best part was there being a rare overarching plot related thing at the end, been a while since something like that

I haven't said this in a while but akane is still my favourite series on jump right now. the scene right before this cap gave me goosebumps and I KNEW what was coming that's how it was. goddddddd please, trust me, even if you think you wouldn't like rakugo, or that it's boring, or that it wouldn't fit a manga, just read it. it's so good man

I just stumbled upon this gem again: https://twitter.com/chimchimbabyyy/status/1528761533618069504 And I've never discussed it (and couldn't find it on your Masterlist, or maybe I'm blind). But this moment has me on my knees. Even with me usually being overly critical, this feels 1000 % romantic. It's a choreographed moment, yes. But it's chorepgraphed to perfection. Jimin almost burying his head in JK's chest, the slow turn, the soft movements of Jimin's hand on JK's shoulder, JK being calm and serene. This is so soft, romantic and intimate...aaaand now I have to ask the question of all question: Fanservice or queercoding? When I first saw it, my immediate thought was: fanservice. BUT, at that point I wasn't really familiar with their bond and as I have found out lately, I still have the occasional bout of heteronormativity. Sucks, I know, but I'm working on it. Back then I thought: there is no way this is more than an act for fans. Because if it isn't, well then... I know there are moments where Jimin flirts with Hobi. But the atmosphere is always very light hearted and goofy. There is nothing goofy about the Dynamite Holiday Remix Jikook hug. I know there are way more intense moments between KPop idols that can clearly be labeled as fanservice. But the reason why the Dynamite Holiday Remix moment stands out to me is the intimacy. It's not overtly sexy, there's not a lot of skin showing or even skin contact. But the skin contact that is there is so incredibly intimate, it almost makes me feel like intruding.

This moment is neither goofy, nor ambiguous. These are unambiguous soft, romantic vibes. To me this is one of the most bold Jikook moments out there. Add to this the matching outfits...it almost feels like them saying "yeah, we know that we have so much tension and chemistry, you could cut it with a knife. Sue us!". So nowadays I'm leaning towards queercoding (similar to the MAMA 2020 Black Swan performance, the mother of all artistic queercoding Jikook moments). But to this day I'm asking myself: what was the reason? Why were they so bold and included it? What do you think? Is it an important moment for you? Or am I seeing things? I would love to hear a second opinion on this.

I'm still not 100% sure this was actually choreographed, as in planned and thought up by the director, or was it something JM and or JK came up with and they just allowed it to stay in the end product.

I do think that at the end of the day it's a combination of fanservice and queer coding. Because, to be honest, I don't think they would leave it in the end product if it was queer coding alone. Knowing there are elements of fanservice in this case allowed for the queer coding, if you get what I'm saying?

I don't think you're seeing things. End of 2020 was super loud for the two, and we see just how loud in memories 2020 and Mots ON:E dvd. Not only were they loud, they were 'allowed' to be loud in official content, such as the Melon Black swan performance. And this is just one more of those loud moments.

But again, I think perhaps they were allowed this because there were also elements of fanservice here too.

In this clip you can see this moment was staged, in the sense that it wasn't them being caught suddenly in 'a moment' as it feels like in the original clip.

It's hard for me to give this moment too much weight because of that, in a way, although the more I think about it, it's more about JM and JK doing their thing and the company allowing it in.

I personally prefer to give more weight to moments that feel spontaneous, they just feel more authentic, and the level of fanservice in them is lower, even more so moments that aren't meant for us, those that are behind the camera.

I'm not always 100% sold on all the outfits Ateez is put in, but I think their stylist team is doing a good job! Compared to some other groups who either look pretty basic or questionable, Ateez looks great. There were... some hmmm choices that I wasn't into. But a lot of people just don't like certain items, like berets or bucket hats - love them both, especially berets! Or bomber jackets, baggy trousers, crop tops etc etc... it's all fine, but doesn't mean idols look bad or the styling is bad. Just not our taste. I'm actually open to everything to be honest, and since I have a very versatile style I love the duality idols present. Ateez especially, the difference between Deja Vu and Eternal Sunshine styles?! Seonghwa kills me everytime, he fits every concept so well it's insane... I'm talking visually but also when it comes to his stage presence and vocals.

I know some fans complain certain members are not styled as well as others, they often say Seonghwa and San and sometimes Hongjoong are the only ones who get interesting fits... I agree sometimes the clothes might not fit properly or are just styled in an unappealing way, but god the boys also have a say in it! It's clear Jongho prefers more "conservative" outfits, Wooyoung likes sportswear a lot. All I care about is if they feel good in their outfits or hairstyles, I might not always love them, but in the end it's none of my business.

Seonghwa is definitely the one who loves experimenting and has this fascinating androgynous vibe about him, so of course styling him must be a lot of fun, since he's very open to try a lot of things. Hongjoong likes crazy haircuts and colourful stuff, no matter how wild they are he always pulls them off. I think the outfits, hairstyles and make-up tell us a lot about them, and I love it. Because Ateez is a group of individuals who work amazing together, but have distinctive features that stand out and show their personalities, whether on stage or in real life,

Hah, sorry for the rant, but since we started the topic I just wanted to add something that has been bothering me. Especially when some Atiny act like it's the members fault (often Seonghwa's mostly) they get more interesting outfits.

i know that sometimes they do make some questionable choices but what i meant is i like the overall vibe, they look amazing and i’m pretty sure a lot of times (more than we realize) choice are made based on some hidden meaning/concept we don’t quite catch, but yes sometimes the clothes are styled in unappealing ways — but as you said most critiques are based on specific items people don’t like ex, when hongjoong had the rainbow buzzcut i saw a lot of people saying they didn’t like it and many other saying they still love it a lot so and these are personal opinions that shouldn’t belittle someone else’s work! like i mentioned in the other ask i’m not too fond of berets but i know they “complete” certain looks and they look so good (it’s just something i wouldn’t use mysef!). they are very versatile with their music, concept and styling and i love this about them and at the end of the day they do have incredible stage presence and they know how to convey their passion and enthusiasm and that’s all that matters!

and yes,, they often mention how they talk about with their stylist so i’m sure they have a say in it, i remember this one episode from kingdom when they did the wonderland stage and seonghwa was wearing the corset, he later said he didn’t wanna wear that initially but the stylists said that to trust them just this one time and wear it so i guess it means that they always are open to what ateez suggest and/or want to try when styling them. many times they said “i really wanna try x” and next time you see them they are sporting that specific thing and imo i think that’s also a form of self-expression so just let them be. people will never agree on everything and that’s okay too (but saying it’s their fault you are not going anywhere that’s all)

Okay, when you were describing all of the things that you would want in the relationship, I thought of San due to how clingy and affectionate he is with the other members of ATEEZ. He is a Cancer, which is good because that is one of the star signs that are compatible with yours. I don't believe that the age difference of four years would be that much of an issue, especially since San acts younger than he is most of the time anyway. I feel like most men are intimidated when their female significant other is tall themselves, but he is tall himself and I feel like the fact that you are taller is kind of one of his favorite things about you? One of his other favorite things about you are your curves, he always puts his hand on your thighs during movie night at the boys' dorm or in the back pocket of your jeans when you two are walking into KQ Entertainment together. When you wear dresses when all of you go out to fancy dinners together, he has to hold himself back because he ADORES you when you wear dresses! You said you're am ambivert, I feel like he relates to that in some form of way, like I feel like there are certain situations where he feels a bit more introverted about. Sometimes Hongjoong has to scold him because he texts you so much, but he can't stay mad at you when you pop into the building with their favorite Starbucks drinks and hand-made lunch boxes for them. Just as you always support his creative endeavors, he always returns it for you tenfold and when you are talking about issues you care deeply about, he gives you his full attention and stares at you lovingly. Not just San, but all of the boys, come to you whenever they are dealing with stress and they just want someone to talk to because you are so amazing at giving advice and supporting them. There was a time when a sasaeng approached you, San, Wooyoung and Jongho when you were doing some late night grocery shopping when another ATINY stopped her, causing an argument and nasty words to be exchanged. Let's just say, you shut that sasaeng down REAL quick when you heard some of the things she said. One day you woke up and found a present that San made for you, a mixtape of all of your favorite songs from all your favorite genres of music, along with a little keychain that had tokens of all of the states you had visited. He wholeheartedly loves you and he makes every effort to support all of your dreams. When he has days off from work, the two of you make a blanket fort in your living room and watch old episodes of Forensic Files and Law & Order: SVU, whilst surrounded by fluffy blankets and a couple of his favorite plushies. His life an idol doesn't afford him much down time, unfortunately, but he always makes time for you and you always have the craziest adventures with not only each other, but all of the other boys as well. One day he was visiting your apartment and he surprised you with matching beaded pearl bracelets and he never takes it off, not even for performances. Let's just say this: Mingi wasn't able to look you in the eyes for two weeks because he did just that, not realize that you had snuck in and stayed the night, and were currently going to the bathroom whilst San was in the shower. Your camera roll is not only filled with silly pictures of San that you've captured, but of the most magazine worthy, model pictures you have ever been lucky enough to take. He accepts you for all of your flaws, and helps you to try to work on them, however that may be and you do the same for him.

Another tall boy for you, I got you! You both are Virgos, but I looked it up worried that two Virgos would clash, and it said that they would be very intuitive with each other and would understand each other! The age gap is quite large, I don't know how okay you are with that? I know everyone has different preferences. He approached you first when he saw you at the mom & pop coffee shop/cafe around the corner from your apartment, and he thought you were the most beautiful person he had ever seen. Another man who I don't think would be bothered by your curves (men can be shallow dicks), I think that is his favorite thing (same as San) about you. Not even in a sexual way, I feel like his hands would always end up on your butt without him even noticing. Most of the time, one of the other boys will point it out when all of you are hanging out together, and he will be proud that he has a significant other like you, but he almost might become a shy mess about it I feel like. I feel like he can get jealous, just because you are closest to Jungkook in the group and you often pull pranks on the other members together. There is never a shortage of laughs when all of you are together, pure crackhead energy if I've ever seen it, just non stop jokes and banter between all of you. You were able to get time off from work and were actually able to join them (their managers were surprisingly chill about you tagging along? CONFUSION?) on their tour around Europe and you had so many memories. You actually brought along a Polaroid camera that you found in a little store one day when the two of you were shopping, and you ended up having to buy an extra suitcase on the trip because you took LITERAL hundreds of pictures of all of your adventures and the tour shenanigans. He has childish tendencies, I feel like he would love to play Roblox with you? I feel like he would take a very mathematical approach to building things, that's just the vibe I get from him. He often stares at you when you're doing your makeup in the morning, he finds it fascinating and he even asked you to do his makeup for some of his shows. His makeup artists weren't angry, luckily, all of their staffs absolutely adore you two together. He is all up for adventures, I feel like he would chicken out at the idea of skydiving, though lol. You keep stealing his sweaters, which he low-key highkey is SO happy about because he loves the way that you look in them. The size difference is only three or four inches (I've seen people say he's 6 feet, but then others say he's 6 foot 2, WHICH IS IT?!), so it's pretty easy to sneak kisses from him whenever you want them when you're together. If he sees you struggling to stay awake whilst studying, he'll softly close your book and drag you over to your bed for a couple hours so you can take a quick nap to regain the energy. I don't really know his temperament that well, he has to be rather even-tempered to deal with those hooligans he calls the rest of BTS, so I feel like you wouldn't have that many fights. You both are always striving to help each other to be the best versions of each other you can be. You joined the boys on vacation at a lake house and one night you were having dinner and he blushed after you said something cheeky to him, causing you to say to him, "You look like a cute tomato when you blush, my cutie pie." in front of the other members. Needless to say, he turned even more red and the boys teased him mercilessly for the rest of the night. Don't know how the cooking would go (this boy is a DISASTER in the kitchen), but you would have fun learning new dishes. He would brag about getting a dish right, and you quickly praise him but also say, " and that's why you a big ass head.", causing him to die laughing. He is the very definition of a hard worker, and I feel like he would love being praised and doing the same for his significant other, so I'm glad that you said that you liked the words of affirmation love language, because GET READY. He's definitely been buffing up (I SCREAM WHENEVER I SEE PICTURES OF HIM NOWADAYS), so

his hugs would always be the best things, so warm and comforting. Don't know how you feel about children? We've all seen that VLive where this idiot literally bought baby shoes because he thought they were cute, so I think he would definitely want children down the road in your relationship if you were both comfortable with it. Best father and husband award goes to him.

Going in blind: Watching season 4 for the first time. Random thoughts.

I never said anything about it before but I love Shadow Weaver's DCAU Batman eyes. They're so expressive.

Episode 1: Okay...I wasn't expecting Catra to do that. I mean, it makes sense. If she has leverage over Hordak then she's basically in charge of the Horde and that's what she's wanted (or at least believes she wants) since episode 1. It's an aspect that made her a good antagonist, that she's not blind to the evil of the Horde, she just doesn't care as long as she herself is secure. Which naturally begs the question, when the rebellion and the princesses are crushed, when the Horde is on top, when Adora is dead, when Catra finally has everything she's ever wanted...will she actually finally be happy? Somehow, I have my doubts.

I definitely feel for Glimmer in this. When you go through as big a loss as she did you need to be able to feel and vent if you're ever going to get through it. It doesn't have to be right away but everyone doing everything in their power to avoid the topic entirely can make you feel like you're going crazy. It'a especially bad for her since it unintentionally makes it feel like everyone is acting like it doesn't matter that Angela is gone when it clearly means everything to Glimmer.

Episode 2: I actually had a potted cactus plant once. Accidentally forgot about it and left it outside for an entire winter. Once the snow was gone the cactus looked like it had melted.

I kind of want to see what an interaction between Double Trouble and Clayface from the Harley Quinn animated series would look like. I'm guess Catra was just testing how good Double Trouble was as a doppelganger because it doesn't seem like she did anything while Adora was being distracted, though I suppose that could be a reveal in a later episode.

Not much to say except that I love how buff Huntara is while still clearly being a woman. Like, women can have a variety of different body types, as this series and Steven Universe show, and Huntara's build isn't just, like, Bow's body with lipstick and ponytail and the animators calling it a day. No, she looks like a freakin' jacked adult woman.

Episode 3: I didn't figure out the Flutterina = Double Trouble twist until a minute before it was revealed, so good job there. Before that I was wondering if Flutterina was some fan's original character where they won some contest where their OC got to be in the show for an episode. She was giving off some weird self-insert vibes. That twist made it all work though. It's honestly not a bad plan. Shapeshifters haven't really been a thing in the series before now so there's no reason to suspect it. Even if they did they'd probably be expecting it by way of magic or technology, while Double Trouble's seems to be a natural ability.

I like that even though Bow is definitely the goofier one of the trio he is still consistently shown as competent. That's never in question. He was very heroic and reassuring to the villagers this episode. I get why those kids idolize him so much.

Catra's having guilt over what she did with the portal and to Entrapta and her response is basically to just double-down. She doesn't know any other way to be. Not going to lie, I am kind of hoping we get another moment in the show where Adora just completely overwhelms Catra with the sheer power of She-Ra. I'm not saying like brutalize her or anything but just something where Catra is made to realize just how powerful Adora is and that she could just destroy Catra if she had a mind to do so.

Episode 4: Well, I was saying I wanted Adora to do it but I guess I don't mind Glimmer being the one to get some good shots in on Catra. Like I predicted, Shadow Weaver's moving in to become her teacher like she was with her father. Honestly I like that that was more Adora's problem than Glimmer using her as bait, which she seemed to get over pretty quick. Yeah, it was kind of a heartless thing to do but it was an understandable tactic and she clearly outright told Adora that she did it and why afterwards, which at least means she's still being honest.

It occurs to me that Glimmer and Catra may be the ones running parallel right now. Both are basically leading their respective sides of the war. They both have lost someone very important to them. And both are trusting someone they probably shouldn't. Both even have outfits that've been updated in the intro. The difference is Glimmer's just trying to deal with a bad situation while Catra's is entirely self-inflicted.

Minor thing but I like Glimmer's new outfit this season. I'm sure this is the intention but it makes her look older and more mature. A little more muscular in some shots too.

Episode 5: Heart of Etheria project. No idea what that is but assumedly whoever's a part of it doesn't like Light Hope and Mara being friends. Sounds like it's very much interested in She-Ra being just a warrior, and perhaps a tool, for the greater good. It does make me wonder though how much Light Hope remember from when she was rebooting. Even if she deleted the Mara memory she could potentially still have the memory of her and Adora watching the Mara memory, as well as Adora asking to be her friend.

Episode 6: Yep. Scorpia; definitely favorite supporting character. There is something kind of funny about her whole "Scorpions are loyal" line when you remember the story about the Frog and the Scorpion, where it stings the frog despite it meaning death for itself as well simply because that is its nature. But finally we're having someone go save Entrapta, and I can only assume at some point Scorpia's going to access the power of the Black Garnet.

The parallels between Catra and Hordak are definitely at their max here with that speech of hers to him. She's basically trying to convince herself that she doesn't need anyone, the timing of which is appropriate since she just drove away Scorpia and now truly doesn't have anyone. Not that I blame Scorpia, obviously. Like Adora before her, however good you believe someone can be and that you can help them, at some point you just have to cut the toxic people out of your life. You have the right to be happy too.

And man, Bow is just the best. He saw something was wrong between Adora and Glimmer and defused the situation like (snap) that, pushing them to talk like any sane person would.

Episode 7: I'm sure it is just because I've seen way too many TV shows and movies (both animated and live action) that don't do it but it is just such a relief to have a show where the characters just TALK and LISTEN to each other. It doesn't solve all their issues but they're at least not being stupid and freakin' petty. It helps the drama feel a lot less forced and contrived.

Episode 8: A little bit of amusement in Bow thinking at first that Glimmer and Adora didn't even notice he was gone despite them coming to his rescue very shortly afterwards, given Catra is only now realizing Scorpia has left and assumedly she did so a while ago. Bow and Sea Hawk hadn't been gone for that long so it's not unreasonable Glimmer and Adora wouldn't be worried about their absence (Bow was literally talking about "me time" when they last saw him), while Catra is only noticing Scorpia's absence now and it was because she wanted something. Like Scorpia said, she's a bad friend.

Kind of ironic given that a lot of Catra's issues are the direct result of Shadow Weaver giving her very little love growing up but it does seem this tough love is probably what'll get through to Catra the best. She might finally stop making bad decisions and lashing out if she's forced to live with the consequences of them, like Adora told her last season.

Glimmer gets a bit of slack from me since she suffered through a huge loss, that being her mother, and then was immediately thrown into being queen right after. It'd be hard for anyone to be 100% on their game and well-adjusted in a situation like that, and I buy that she was on some level resentful of Adora for coming back instead of her mother, even if unintentionally so. What definitely helps is that Glimmer very clearly and immediately regretted what she said to Adora. Like Catra she's lashing out but unlike Catra Glimmer recognizes some of the damage she's doing and knows, at least in this case, that she went too far.

Episode 9: Now that I can see the design in color I definitely prefer Mara's She-Ra with pants to Adora's She-Ra with shorts. Honestly, while the differences are pretty minor, I do think Mara's She-Ra design is overall a lot better than Adora's. Sharper shoulder guards. Bigger cape (especially the cape, I love capes). I don't know, there's just a lot that clicks with it and I wouldn't mind Adora getting a similar outfit later.

Madam Razz definitely had a Yoda feel this episode. I was very much expecting her to start wacking Mara with a stick over the sugar like Yoda did with R2. Though while that was Yoda acting crazy, for Razz it's because she experiences time out of order, and I don't think I've ever seen that concept taken to this extent, or at least done this way before. There are characters like River Song from Doctor Who, Professor Paradox from Ben 10, or even the Reverse-Flash who interact with other characters in time out of order but those characters are still on a linear path from their own perspective, even when travelling through time. Razz is just bouncing around her own timeline, seemingly not even any real reason or cause to it like Subaru from Re:Zero. Clearly she's not just remembering things oddly because her talk about things of the present are heard by people in the past and have an effect. I wonder if maybe the reason why is because Razz was at ground zero of Mara's actions and this is a side-effect of pulling Etheria away from the rest of the universe.

Bringing more Star Wars into this, it basically sounds like the Heart of Etheria project has turned Etheria into a magic Starkiller Base; storing power that'll be unleashed to destroy whole planets. And jeez, I think this was the first time I really felt creeped out by Light Hope when she was talking to Mara.

I'm looking forward to seeing what it means that the First Ones only made the sword and that Etheria made She-Ra. If that's the case, why is only the sword able to bring out the She-Ra form? Is it like MCU Thor's hammer and the weapon was just meant to help him control the power he already had? Or is what we think is She-Ra not actually She-Ra and that form that Adora and Mara take is just a stand-in for the real thing?

Episode 10: It didn't even occur to me until now but Double Trouble's capture is another blow to Catra's circle of "friends" too. They were at least able to make her laugh. One less person for her to talk to and just...really just distract her from her thoughts.

It's a good dilemma this episode presents about what to do with the Heart of Etheria. The safest and probably best option is to just dismantle it, like Adora and Bow want, since it could easily lead to the destruction of the entire planet if it goes off. Not the mention there's so little they know about it and what it was intended for and the one person who can potentially tell them, Light Hope, they were warned not to trust. But it's not hard to understand where Glimmer is coming from in wanting to use that power to fight the Horde. They're already losing the war and now she knows Hordak Prime and his FAR more powerful forces are on the way. Tapping into the Heart is a huge risk but she's not seeing any other paths for the rebels to win. It's a really good dilemma, with good arguments presented from both sides, and I buy this widening the schism between Adora and Glimmer.

Episode 11: I have mixed feelings on King Micah still being alive. On the one hand there's a lot of good potential interactions we can now have with him, primarily between Glimmer and Shadow Weaver, and he is a fun character. But on the other I can't help but wonder if this kind of lessens the impact of what Angela gave up to overcome the false reality. Part of what made it so emotional was that she had to accept the person she loved was dead and not coming back...except now we see that he wasn't dead and now he is coming back. Yeah, their family lost out on years together and that does still carry some emotional weight but I was already also half-expecting Angela to come back later in the series because she's stuck between dimensions, meaning there's a chance she could still be alive. If both Glimmer's parents come back then that really feels like it takes a lot of weight out of her story. But I guess we'll see what happens.

Also, why did the Horde exile him to Beast Island? Why not just kill him?!

Episode 12: So the Horde exiles Micah to Beast Island instead of killing him. The First Ones protect their secrets by sending their bad tech to Beast Island. Does no one know how to just destroy things in this world?

Ohhh, I am so looking forward to next episode. While it's debatable whether Glimmer should be going through with her plan she is at least being smart with how she's going about it. Double Trouble was being paid by Catra to work for the Horde, not out of any sense of loyalty. Glimmer has the resources of Bright Moon at her disposal so it's reasonable she could pay them more to switch sides. Double Trouble was very good at sabotaging even a group as tight-nit as the heroes, so Hordak and Catra are probably easy pickings with all their issues.

Episode 13: ....WELL THAT AIN'T GOOD!

I'll admit, I had a little bit of an unintended laugh. After all we've heard about Horde Prime, like this shadowy all-powerful monster, I wasn't expecting the fabulous flowing dreadlocks and smoothness. Credit where it's due, man has charisma and charm, which goes a long way in helping your big evil world conqueror not be a very flat character, because it's doubtful he's going to have the same kind of sympathetic motivation as Hordak or complexity as Catra to keep him elevated.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Double Trouble kicking at Catra while she's down. Adora and Scorpia were honest but they never wanted to hurt Catra. Not so much with Double Trouble and they just shove reality into her face. Everyone leaves Catra because of Catra. She's the common factor. It's her fault and no one else's. Again, I don't know for certain if Adora and Catra get together at the end (Catra would have a LOT to make amends for regardless) but Double Trouble was definitely implying Catra had feelings for her with the way they put Catra's hand on "Adora's" cheek while talking about how she left her.

I like that we see Glimmer's plan actually working at first. The princesses get a massive power boost and decimate the Horde forces. But the minute it starts going wrong she immediately admits Adora was right and she tries to stop the energy flow. I imagine having her there with Catra was intentional by the writers. Despite some parallels, Glimmer can actually accept her failures and work to try and fix things. Unlike Catra, she didn't blame Adora for things going wrong.

So the sword allows the First Ones to control She-Ra and the energy she'd be absorbing from the planet. Assumedly that means there are at least some parts to She-Ra that have nothing to do with the First Ones and thus maybe Adora can still use some of those powers without the sword.

Season 4 verdict: Yeah, the show keeps getting better, though I will admit last season's finale had me more emotional, but that's a bit of an unfair comparison given everything that happened in that finale vs. this one. This is definitely the series hitting its darkest hour, where it feels like EVERYONE lost. Not just the rebels but the Horde as well. The sword and Light Hope are gone and She-Ra (for now) along with them. Glimmer and Catra are basically prisoners. Hordak's probably going to have his personality stripped away. The Fright Zone is in ruins. The only one who's gained anything is Prime.

Really looking forward to what the final season has in store, especially since there seems to be the implication that Catra just saved Glimmer's life.

what part of death note is misogynistic? not that I don't completely believe you, it's just been a long-ass time since I saw it and I don't remember anything I'd consider misogynistic. at least other than a bit of how Misa was shown/treated, but she was kind of an idol so I considered that more accurate to idol culture rather than misogynistic writing, and Light using her affection for him to gain favors seemed more like just something an anti-hero (or whatever you call what he is) would do.

I apparently don’t know how to do cuts, so SPOILERS AHEAD!!! Note that everything I wrote here is in regards to the manga, because I don’t consider the anime canon (even though it’s still worth the watch!).

Yagami Sachiko: loving mother and housewife, who at the end of the show has lost her husband and son definitely and almost also lost her daughter (see below), nothing she does or says contributes to the story, she is only a victim (thanks to her own son)

Yagami Sayu: Light’s little sister, an adorable little airhead, not dumb, but definitely not very smart either, prefers to read fashion magazines instead of studying for school after the timeskip she is kidnapped by the Mafia/Mello and used as a hostage to get the Death Note, afterwards she is bond to a wheelchair for some time and her mental state is ruined, Ōba Tsugumi pretty much confirmed that Sayu would never recover from her current state, here we’ve another female character that was only created to end up as a victim (thanks to her own brother)

Misora Naomi: she had a lot of potential, but of course was killed off before she could do anything to help in the fight against Kira, she is definitely smart and a tough FBI agent, but still simply accepts that her fiance decides that as soon as they got married, Naomi would retire and just be his wife and the mother of his children Naomi tricks Light at first (by giving him a wrong name to write into the Death Note) and Light also admits that Naomi is smarter than he had thought a woman could be (but he doesn’t do it in an admirable way - like with L - but more like: “Ugh, this woman is such a nuisance!”), afterwards she is killed by him in the most pathetic way (the writer really wanted me to believe that an FBI-agent would just give out her name to a young student, because he says that he can get her to L, p-a-t-h-e-t-i-c), her character was a fucking waste and I’m still angry about it!!!

Amane Misa: I don’t share the sentiment that Misa is dumb, personally I think she is quite smart (not as smart as Light or L or Near, but smart): she was able to get Light’s attention by sending messages to Sakura TV and acts quite cleverly afterwards too…until she actually meets Light, because then her IQ goes out of the window her whole character is just so cringeworthy: she falls in love with Light after knowing him for five minutes and doesn’t care if he won’t love her back, which he doesn’t (she literally says: “I don’t mind if I’m just used by you!” or something along those lines; definitely makes all the male fanboys happy!) Light is the reason why L captures Misa and puts her into that weird bondage-like outfit during interrogation (note that later when L puts Light into jail for suspicion of being Kira, Light gets a nice jail cell and isn’t bond up like in a fucking porn movie), she loses her memories for a while after giving up possession of the Death Note (at Light’s orders) and then later trades half of her lifespan for Shinigami eyes (to help Light) and the worst thing is that even though she is the most important female character in this story, we don’t even learn what happens to her at the end and why? well, once again, Ōba Tsugumi said that there simply wasn’t a way to give her an ending, Misa’s whole character just screams: this story was written by a huge misogynist

Takada Kiyomi: another smart woman, who - of course - turns into a complete idiot as soon as she meets Light and falls in love with him, she is also portrayed as being pretty arrogant and - of course - gets into a cat fight with Misa over who Light loves more (girls, he doesn’t care for either of you!) her death is also the most horrible one: forced into the back of a truck by Mello and then ordered to take all her clothes off (at least he gives her a blanket to cover herself), both Mikami and Light write her name into the Death Note to dispose of her as soon as she isn’t useful anymore, she burns to death

Halle Lidner: the only female member of the SPK and the only female character in the whole show that is shown to fight against Kira and helps to bring him down, she is intelligent, smart and strong, which still doesn’t stop her from getting used by both Mello and Near

There might be some minor female characters I forgot, but if I can’t remember them, then they really weren’t important enough. xd To sum this up, there is not a single female person in the police force that fights against Kira nor is any of L’s successors female. Near does have one female helper, but like I said above, he mostly keeps her around to get to Mello (and fucking installs cameras all over Halle’s apartment without her knowledge!). Female characters, who have potential, like Misora Naomi are killed off superfast or let themselves be used by Light because he is so handsome and charming (like Misa and Kiyomi). Female characters in this manga are pretty much either victims or sexy accessories or both.

Awww that's so nice! I'm glad you had a good time :) I'm studying biotech. And I studied in Sweden for my exchange. It was such an amazing city and everyone was so nice~~ And it was the first time I experienced so little sunlight XDI feel you though haha. I'm kinda of in this weird limbo where I want a job just so I don't have to keep studying, but I also don't want that kind of responsibility. But good luck with your applications! I did see his long teaser! God it’s so aesthetic. I’m kinda busy right now so I haven’t been as involved in his comeback as I was with the group comeback but I would’ve giffed every second of it if I could lol. And every song seems like a jam! Sentimental definitely has a really nice beat. I also like Stay, but I can also see myself adding attraction to my bubbly Infinite playlist.

I also hope it’s a nice promotion! I hope short promotions aren’t a new woollim thing (even tho it’s been that way for a while). I know they probably just rushed Tell Me since they’ve kept us waiting. But Woohyun told fans to prepare to be blessed so maybe all these promotions now will mean something big for the second half of the year? Lol at least I hope. And I got into Infinite from watching running man! My roommate studied abroad in Korea and showed me the show when she came back

It was the Summer Idol Competition one. I thought just the combo of cool L and hamster Gyu was hilarious. And I heard destiny in the background so I looked into it and got hooked on the group. I ended up liking Woohyun a lot because of his voice. And as I got to know him I realized what a marshmellow he is. I used to think he talked too much at first cuz I wanted to learn about Gyu and Myung, but he grew on me haha. Who was your original bias group??

Isn’t being asked where you’re from such a weird question? I moved from Singapore when I was 7, so I hardly know anything about the culture, but I still consider myself Singaporean. Have you seen the MV/listened to the album yet? I really love Nell, so when I heard Kim Jong Wan was helping to produce the entire album I was super excited (plus it’s cute since Sunggyu’s such a big fan of his). I really liked Attraction and True Love, but I think my favourite off the album is City of Angels.

I totally get what you mean about being too busy to be really involved in the comebacks… But for me it’s more I’m too lazy/tired than busy. I keep thinking I’ll gif/edit, but never do. It’s quite terrible. How long have you been making gifs for?

Was Infinite the first KPop group you listened to? Are they the first you were really a fan of? Destiny was such an epic song and I totally get how it hooked you. It was such a fierce song. I can’t remember Sunggyu and Myungsoo in that episode of Running Man… I remember more the Winter Olympics one (unless I’m remember wrong and we’re talking about the same episode). I love Running Man, but I preferred it more in the beginning episodes because I loved the nametag chase and they rarely do that anymore. If you haven’t already, you should watch the first ~100 episodes (with Song Joong Ki), they’re seriously hilarious.

My first bias group was MBLAQ… It’s so sad they disbanded. Again, I loved them because they were such dorks and their variety shows were hilarious as well. If you want to watch something for laughs, watch MBLAQ Goes To School… It’s too funny. Have you seen all of Infinite’s variety shows? I haven’t seen their last couple, but Sesame Player will always be my favourite. If you’ve seen Sesame Player, what was your favourite part? Mine were the pranks.

If a drama is really good the urge to binge is so strong! That’s why I like watching currently airing dramas, I’m forced to wait ^^ If you like light hearted dramas, I think you’ll like Suspicious Partner. The main couple is adorable like in SWDBS (also, I’m totally biased toward Ji Chang Wook… Hence the icon…).

Your last question… Is that specifically in regards to Infinite? That’s kind of tough… I actually kind of got out of touch with KPop while I was in university, well with music in general, so I actually haven’t heard many of Infinite’s new songs. But I really love Tell Me… Sunggyu’s voice and Dongwoo and the dance and the outfits… Gosh, all of it slayed me. So I guess that’s you’re answer? What about you, what is your favourite concept/song or Infinite’s?

On another note… What genre of English music do you like? I love Alt Rock/Grunge and I tend to stay away from R&B/Hip Hop.
