Okay so I wanted to play it cool and summarize the second tonklash in just one sentence:

this is how youre supposed to get fucked by your sugar daddy

But more and more thoughts about it left me with no other choice than write way too much about Pretty Men Smashing Artistically On Screen™️ again🤦

If you still didn't understand that sex is a fundamental part of tonklas coping mechanisms (and I don't mean it's a good one) then I don't know what to tell you.

Wintonkla may have fucked like in a 10/10 porn movie, but we need that level of graphicness to understand tonkla. Btw, we neither saw kornfah nor nancreepyguy fuck, only tonkla.

Anyways—

We already start with a very emotionally distressed tonkla throwing his stuff around because his beloved Korn still won't answer his calls. We clearly see hes unable to deal with that rejection although he's apparently aware of his position and how he shouldn't let Korn treat him like that. I think he ran so fast to the door because he thought it was Korn — he didn't look disappointed but I think that's because he smelled his chance with the detective the second they met.

Tonkla getting straight to business without any care what mister detective trying to tell him proves that furthermore imho. Wins timing (yaknow) couldn't have been better.

When they start making out, the contrast between them and korntonkla almost gives you whiplash. Tonklas room is dark and gloomy and the whole scene continues to stay dark and blurry, the complete opposite to the warm oranges korntonkla were drenched in. And that's only the beginning.

To match the moods room, tonklas face is cold and distant the whole time and only touches win when he absolutely has to.

He's demanding and completely selfish with the pleasure he seeks and poor win looks very pleased to follow. Its now crystal clear Tonkla is trying to recreate the illusion of intimacy he craves from Korn while simultaneously keeping the necessary distance. Not in the "imagining his face" type of way but more of a "if I can't have him then this has to make do" way.

(Honestly I think this time the fuck me raw question is 60% durex product placement and 40% tonkla manifesting said illusion 🤓)

The position they fuck in is also as distant as it can get. No touching, no kissing, no tonkla clinging to win like it's his last lifeline like he did with korn.

And the irony of it all makes me wanna rip my hair out honestly I—

Love makes you so dumb and that goes for win AND Tonkla. They are gonna destroy each other and it's gonna be so good.

Their post coital talk brings the point home. Tonkla now has proof that he can use win for what he can't get from Korn and asks him if he can come by more often. Win of course agrees and caresses him with the most heartfelt kiss one can imagine. Tonkla on the other hand doesn't even move a finger. Insanity. Absolute insanity.

I don't think it's calculating or planned from Tonkla to use win like this, he just wants to be loved and can't get it from the person he wants. He's so fragile and lonely he even turns to drugs to cope. And this is again why the graphic sex scenes are necessary for his character arc, sex is his way of filling the void he doesn't know how to fill otherwise. I'm soooo so so excited how it's all gonna play out and who's gonna die because of it lol.

One smart Tumblr fella said greattymes scenes will serve as the loving contrast to this fucked up dynamics tonkla is messing with and now that we have this ending I'm really really looking forward to how that's gonna play out ooooopppppp

One couple together in death, one together alive

I'm so grateful because they could've really hurt us and had just person one of each couple survive.

(I'm just gonna think aloud here - I just finished the final episode of 4 minutes and edrhgiughiesuhg aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa)

I do like that they flipped a switch on us. For the longest time it looked like Great (and Tyme) would die and Korn and Tonkla might survive (tbh I didn't even think about the possibility of them dying)- I did not see the switch coming which is great (hah!). Like, in every episode something happened that I didn't foresee between all the little theories that turned out to be right. That's one of the reasons this series was so much fun to watch.

I am quite satisfied with this ending; I think Tonkla and Korn dying together like this, Tonkla having come clean and Korn choosind him anyway (evidenced by trying to shoot Win and ending his life when things went amiss and Tonkla died instead, the one person life was worth living for) tragically, poetically beautiful and honestly? I think the best ending for them considering the circumstances. I don't think they woud've been happy on the run and after everything that happened - they bth hurt each other so much. Also, gosh, hhhhhhh Korn losing control over everything in his life/realizing he never was in control leading to that one time where he does control his own life by ending it!?!?! Daaaaaaamn

I'm also quite satsfied with Great and Tyme being happy together after each having their do-over during their NDE and that Great is actively trying to make better choices. As is Tyme - not to defend him but- he had the chance to avenge his parents' and grandma's death and he took it! But he chose not to become a murderer himself. One could argue that having to live with that kind of brain damage is an even worse outcome than death but at least a murderer Tyme is not. And I feel like he did have to do something, because letting Fasai's father live unharmed would've put his own life in danger. Tyme was a threat to to that guy because he had evidence of his grandma's murder, did he not? (Did he have a video of it or was that a video call? In which case he'd still be an eye witness, so still a threat.)

This was him securing his and Great's future together so they can both start anew.

So it just makes sense.

The finale did a great job of tying up loose ends.

And I don't wanna forget our poor, poor Win. Things were never gonna go well for him anyway - I feel bad for him but like - he was delusional from the start when it was so very clear to the viewer that his story would not have a happy ending. I can't even blame Tonkla, honestly. He never ever gave Win any reason to believe he was in it for the same reasons Win was.

I- just! I'm so so happy with how good that last episode was. The build up during the series was amazing and it's so hard to keep that up in a final episode. The fall would've been quite steep and painful if the finale had been disappointing but they absolutely delivered.

The casting and acting was on point, the soundtrack was amazing, the visuals???!?!? The cinematography!!??!?!?! I think this may have been one of the best shows I've ever seen. Certainly in my top 5.

Let's talk about powerful women in our favorite series. it's BL, but we have amazing women here.

My favorite:

Fasai. Girl, she is coolest of all. Got man on knees, deals with them, playes with them, an extraordinary puppeteer. I'm not talking about morals. Just the power of one person, and this is not man. It is SHE, and she is ruling over man. I've never seen the actress before, but I saw her in a show with Jes and Bible, she is hilarious. Can't wait to see how she dies cause she is gonna die. Either Tonkla is killing her or Korn.

Next must be Nan, spy. Watch her friend taken away, blame herself for their unfortunate workplace, and she is getting raped, pregnant, and had to do abortion. This is the reality of many Asian countries. especially the Middle East and the Far East. She is not taken seriously by man, but oh she did say fuck you and got her own justice by herself. I hope for a better end for her.

Mothers

Great's Mother - The strategist.

Manee - Revenge done, hired assassin.

Great's mother is truly a pitiful character. She didn't want to have life as a mistress and did everything in her own way to become a wife. With this, she lost her son. Great said that before, he and his mom, only two, were very happy. I'm not a mother and don't have motherly instinct, to think what is better for child, but I don't think that the choice she made could be good for past Great, we see that it's not good for present Great. He is distant. He doesn't even come home or sit the same side as his parents. But losing your child in front of you is the worst thing that can happen to parents, I love the last scene, where she refuses to leave Great, hugs him, and fully ready for next bullet.

Manee is another interesting add for the series.

You see, in the main timeline, she died, so there is a possibility that no one hired killer to assassin the Great's family, which was concluded with Tymes' death. But in this one (Greats brain or some alternative universe), she survived, again by Greats and Tymes hand. To put it simple, they digged their own grave. But again, justice ⚖️ they did what they thought was right. In that very moment, Great didn't not speed, Tyme didn't let her die as she asked. But this time, 11 o'clock and Great is shot, while Tyme is alive, with his grandma. So shit is happening. Whatever timelines we've been seeing are collapsing, and small changes are actually triggering other actions in another timeline to change as well.
