hello! i see you're often dissatisfied with the official translations for tale of the nine tailed. i also always want to know exactly what the characters are saying and it saddens me to see changes in the translations. are there any translations of lee yeon/nam ji ah dialogue that you thought were particularly inaccurate? how would you render them?
Hello! I’m afraid you may have opened Pandora’s box with this one haha
First off, most (if not all) of the subs you’re seeing going around aren’t official translations but rather fansubs. Because fansubs go up as fast as possible there’s no time for review or editing, and this often means they leave a lot to be desired. As someone who has done a good amount of professional translation, I tend to put a lot of thought into ensuring that not only the content, but also the context and tone of my translations are accurate. It’s an art, not a science.
To answer your question, though, there are a few Yeon/Ji Ah interactions I can think of where the subs particularly bugged me.
The first is from EP05, when Ji Ah presses Yeon to tell her how Ah Eum died.
Yeon tells her, ‘It has nothing to do with you’ (or even more neutrally, ‘it’s unrelated to you’ but that’s an uncommon phrasing in English). The sub here was, ‘It’s none of your business,’ which is another way you could translate that, but it’s both less literal and also more callous than I felt Yeon was being here.
In response, Ji Ah insists she knows it does (have something to do with her). Yeon’s response was subbed, ‘At times, it’s better to be in the dark. So live your life as the clueless person you have been.’ This is taking a lot of license and not in a good way. I would have translated Yeon’s response as follows:
Yeon: At times...there are times when knowing something becomes poison. Please just keep living as you are now, not knowing.
First off, to my thinking there’s a big difference between ‘being in the dark’ and ‘knowledge can be poison,’ which is actually what he says. Second, he says absolutely nothing to the effect of ‘clueless person.’ He does literally say ‘not knowing anything,’ but I would have left out the ‘anything’ because it changes the tone of the sentence. It’s technically correct from a one-to-one translation standpoint, but ultimately wrong in terms of communicating what he means and how he means it. Finally, while he doesn’t literally say ‘please,’ what he does say (‘살아주라’) is the imperative form of the verb (to live) + ‘ju-da’ grammar pattern, which holds the implication that she is doing it for his sake.
The sub here really bugged me because it made it sound like Yeon was condescending to Ji Ah, saying that she should just keep on being ignorant, when in fact he was asking her very plaintively to trust him and accept not knowing. Overall, I thought it misrepresented his character in an unflattering light so it stuck with me.
Another example of a sub that bothered me is from EP12, when Ji Ah’s parents ask Yeon what he likes about Ji Ah and Yeon tells them being with her comforts him (paraphrasing). The translation of Ji Ah’s line that followed that was a bit problematic for me. The sub here read, ‘But Yeon made me realize...that we’re supposed to live in the shadows...of the people we rely on. I wanted to be that kind of person too.’ I would have translated this as:
Ji Ah: But I met Lee Yeon and came to understand: people live their lives in the shadow of someone they can depend upon. I have to become that type of person too.
You can see there’s not too much difference (other than the ‘supposed to’ and the ‘wanted to’ - not sure where they got that) and that’s because the main issue here is actually cultural. In English, if we say you’re living in someone’s shadow it’s a negative thing, but Ji Ah is actually making a reference to traditional Korean wedding vows, in which the groom pledged to become a tree and the bride his shadow. That’s obviously a carry-over from a more antiquated time in gender relations, but the image of the tree remains that of something that provides shelter from the elements. So, to live in someone’s shadow in this case actually means to live being protected and cared for by them. This is in direct contrast to her telling Yeon in EP06 not to be too good to her for fear that she’d come to depend on him. It shows character growth. And Ji Ah is saying that she also wants to be that someone for Yeon.
Since there’s no way to explain that context in the subs, though, I might have taken some creative license and changed ‘shadow’ to ‘shelter’ or something to that effect. It would be more of a departure from the literal, but somewhat closer to the intended meaning.
Another exchange that I felt could have been translated better was from the night scene on the beach in EP13 when Ji Ah asks Yeon if he remembers the first time he met her.
Yeon: Of course I remember. I spent my life working to catch others, but you were the first person who chased after me so ferociously saying they were going to catch me.
Ji Ah: At that time I should have just confessed ferociously. If I had, the time we could have spent being happy not knowing anything would've been just a little bit longer.
I don’t remember exactly what the sub said, only that it left out the word ‘ferocious,’ which they both used. I thought it was a very Ji Ah thing to say - that she should have confessed ferociously instead of chasing him ferociously, and you can see Yeon look at her when she says it.
Another thing that dropped out at times was the humour. One recurring joke they use plays off the word for ‘bastard,’ which translates literally as ‘baby dog’ or ‘child of a dog’ (kae-saekki). Putting ‘kae’ (dog) in front of anything turns it into a curse word actually. [Edit: It’s also used as an intensifier in modern slang similar to how the f-word is used in English]. As you might imagine, this gets a lot of mileage in relation to Rang, our resident 600-year old baby fox. So in EP03 when Yeon and Rang fight on the island, Yeon makes this joke:
Yeon: They say you’re supposed to raise wild children* with a firm hand (literally: hit them as you raise them), but I couldn’t do that, so I ended up raising a baby fox into a bastard (baby dog), didn’t I?
Rang: And who was the jerk who kicked that baby (saekki) to the curb? You treat me like a stray dog any chance you get.
Yeon: My little brother, I’ll have to gift you a muzzle this Christmas.
Because the dog jokes dropped out ‘muzzle’ became ‘mouthguard,’ which is less funny and also makes no sense out of context. [*Edit: Also, thinking about it again, I still would have used ‘muzzle’ since that implies that Yeon means to protect the world from Rang whereas ‘mouthguard’ is more about protecting Rang.]
[*Edit: the word used here is 호로자식, which many Koreans understand to mean something like a barbarian child, but the true origin, as it turns out, is a parentless child. It’s also used predominantly by grandpas/old men hehe]
Another funny moment came when Ji Ah asks Yeon for his phone number in EP04:
Yeon: Nice. Your character is very consistent.
Ji Ah: I get that a lot.
There’s no good way to translate Ji Ah’s line, but she literally says ‘I hear that curse (yok) a lot,’ implying that people say this to her and mean it as an insult/in a ‘goddamn you’ sort of way...to which Yeon nods as if to say, ‘makes perfect sense.’ haha
Finally, there were times when the subs were just straight-up wrong. When Yeon is telling Ji Ah about how he met Ah Eum in EP05, he says she was so cute he hit her once and then sent her on her way. Ji Ah prompts him saying, ‘And then?’ To which Yeon responds that she went down the mountain in tears but then returned to chase after him with her bow in tow. The subtitle said something like ‘she left and returned within the day,’ and I honestly can only assume whoever was translating it wasn’t sure what was said and just wrote something likely based on context because it’s such a loose estimation.
Sorry this is so long. It’s nowhere near an exhaustive list, but hopefully it gives you an idea of some of the things that catch my attention when I watch the subbed version. If there are specific scenes you’d like to see me translate, feel free to send me another ask. =)

37 general for the prompt list?
37. “Do you want that?”
(Based on a scene in a F&HW session, so dialogue heavy, a lot of the dialogue is straight from the session)
Warnings: Depression, slight suicidal ideation
Update 12/12/2021: Fixed some minor grammar issues and did some editing to have a bit better flow.
When Keane had woke up that morning, the house had been empty. He almost assumed that the others left him behind, he wasn’t part of their group, he had just stumbled across them, brought them to Nizar. The group had their own matters, rushing to save the life of their cursed friend. They didn’t exactly need him.
But he hadn’t been abandoned completely, N’Abjidynen had been left behind as well. They didn’t even bat an eye at his request to carve a sigil into his arm, not that he was certain they ever blinked. Keane had only known them for a few days, but he had picked up quickly that they weren’t the type to be fazed by anything, maybe he was thinking into it too much. He could never tell if the fluttering in his chest he felt around them was the start of feelings or his fight or flight response.
When he had asked them if they wanted to go get a drink--his blood still on their hands, their shadow flickering like a candle--he hadn’t expected them to accept. He was glad, though, he had hoped it would be something good for both of them. A well-needed break, a semblance of mundanity between two so estranged from it.
Instead, Keane now was stuck in a president’s bedroom, sitting cross-legged on the fine sheets of the bed, wearing a stolen silk robe that probably cost more than everything he owned, a low panic settling into his gut at what he just witnessed.
Necrioso had hardly paid him any mind, Keane supposed he saw him as collateral, he had meant to abduct Abjid but Keane had been there too. An accomplice, a witness, a loose end. He could only listen to them talk, listen to Abjid list their crimes with a frighting calmness, listen to Necrioso talk of the god possessing Abjid like it was common knowledge. Keane didn’t have a chance to talk to Abjid before they pulled a dagger from their robes, cut their palm, and signed a contract in their blood without so much of a glance at the paper.
Necrioso had taken the contract and left them alone for now. Keane watched as Abjid wandered around the room, idly opening drawers and cabinets, going through their contents, inspecting personal items. They seemed surprisingly calm, they always were. Watching them thumb through a stack of papers, he could almost imagine they were somewhere else. That the last hour never happened, that he only knew Abijd as an eccentric and sickly sorcerer.
“You’re going to just, kill an empress? No questions asked?”
“Why not?” Abjid replies almost instantly with a shrug, not even looking up.
“I mean… there’s the political aspect of it for one. She’s an empress.”
Keane waited for a moment, trying to see if Abjid would react. They didn’t, still focused on the contents of the drawer they opened.
“You live here, you know more about her than me. What do you know about her?”
After a moment, they finally looked up at Keane, eyebrows raised.
“She’s the empresses of Hiel. She’s pretty old, 2000 years? She’s been the empress for 600 years,” Keane watched Abjid’s face closely, hoping to see dawning realization. There was none, even as he continued, “She’s the most powerful person on the planet, hands down. She’s morally dubious at best, but she’s kinda the lesser of two evils,”
“What’s the other evil?”
Keane let out a bitter laugh, “At this point? Probably you.”
He almost winced at his own words, reckless and harsh, but looking at Abjid, they just nodded.
“Understandable.”
They were just as composed as ever, and Keane almost felt angry tears start to well up at it. It was like they didn’t understand the gravity of the situation.
“Fucking-– ‘I have a Shadow God in me and I didn't mention this until I walked into the fucking president's palace’-–”
That got a reaction, a small raise of their eyebrows, a shrug.
“You didn’t ask,”
Abjid’s words were calculated, despite their careless tone. A carefully selected truth. Abjid could lie, he’d seen them do it, seen them charm and persuade even the most strong willed individuals. Now they were choosing not to, choosing the bitter and twisted truth for a reason.
“I didn’t think I’d have to!”
They blink, looking back down at the papers they were leafing through, shaky hands trying to stack them neatly.
“I don’t think about it too much. Sure he threatens me or torments me or tries to take control, but that’s just my life--”
“How, though,” Keane interrupted, “How did it happen, it didn’t just show up one day.”
“More or less that is how it happened, though,” They shrugged one again, carefully acted nonchalance even now, “I just woke up one day and...”
For the first time, Abjid hesitated, freezing in the middle of returning the stack of papers to the open drawer. From where Keane sat, the loose end of their headscarf obscured their face. The anger tempered as Abjid was silent, frozen. Keane opened his mouth to speak, but before he could, Abjid laughed, shakily, unsteadily.
“I woke up with a lot of things, so I mean, why not? Being possessed was the least of my concerns then, hardly even noticed it. When I did later, I…,” They laughed again, pain creeping through the cracks, “I figured with everything else that happened, this might as well happen too.”
Still, still, they returned to composure, their voice free of emotion, still pantomiming careless indifference even as the cracks began to form.
Keane, though, was never good at acting.
“Okay. You have-– I don't usually think of myself as a high-strung person, but my life has currently been thrown upside down, for lack of a better term. I... the tattoo that allows me to go out in sunlight was removed so I'm left hanging out with you folks for,” Keane let out a breath, “several days. I discover that most of you are unhinged-– to a degree that I have never seen before. I mean, and I work with people who are just are the craziest, bloodthirsty individuals that are around; assassins–”
Abjid interrupted him before he could finish, “I'm not going to make excuses for myself, but just for some context, these people I'm traveling with are the first real people I've talked to... in my known memory.”
Keane froze this time at their words, at the layers, at the implications, at everything he could unpack. There was an honesty to their words, something genuine slipping into their speech among the rehearsed words, something that suddenly tempered his anger, that stole away whatever point he was going to make.
“You need to get more friends, Abjid-– I think that they're a bad influence. You've told me that they've stabbed you several times.”
“They were justified in that.”
Their reply was instant, like they didn’t even have to consider it. Flat, matter of fact. He could feel them retreating back behind their mask, slipping back into an act. Keane couldn’t tell how much truth was behind their words. Every aspect of Abjid was something careful, a meticulously choreographed dance that Keane couldn’t hope to learn.
Now he couldn’t help distress slipping into his voice, “Don’t you care for your wellbeing at all?”
At that, he saw Abjid move, tilt their head to the side slightly. He could see part of their face now, though he couldn’t read it.
“I don’t think god will let me die,”
They enunciated the words clearly, carefully, like it was something they had rehearsed, something they had thought countless times before. But now, there was nothing light about their words, no joking tone or dry wit.
“I don’t think that’s a way to live, I mean, I’m a vampire but I don’t go running towards wooden stakes,”
“I mean--,” Abjid paused again, this time he could see their face, see a flicker of consideration cross it, a slight fumble before quickly being replaced with a mask of indifference, “I have my reasons,”
Sighing, Keane closed his eyes, some part of him drained at the realization he won’t be able to change their mind, no matter what he says. He couldn’t negotiate with them, couldn’t match Abjid’s dance. He didn’t have Abjid’s careful choreography and trying to guess the steps only played into their hand.
“Okay, I… I grew up with a lot of people that... didn't really care for their well-being, because we were taught not to and, I just... Maybe it would be good to just... take a step back before you leap into killing an all-powerful goddess just... because.”
Abjid was silent, they were still, looking down, face softening ever so slightly. They opened their mouth to speak, only to close it again. Another crack in the mask, a misstep in their dance. Keane expected them to retreat again behind indifference and apathy.
“You know I-- I mean… I tried to like-- I tried to not-- to not hurt people,” Abjid stumbled over their words, uncharacteristically, struggling to string together the right words, “I've tried to be a better person. Genuinely. But, at the end of the day, no matter what I do, I'm still possessed by this god. I'm just a pawn in his great game. So I've found it's best to just... go with it.”
They shrugged, looking down as they carefully placed the papers back in the drawer.
Keane froze for a moment, reeling from the honesty, the vulnerability of their words. He could see a faint discomfort on their face, a self-conscious realization of their openness that he could almost feel them hastily trying to cover up, pulling their true self back behind their cracked mask.
He didn’t let himself think, desperate to reach them before they retreated once more, he blurt out the first thing that came to mind.
“Isn’t-- is there a way to… unpossess you? Something you could do?”
They raised their eyebrows slightly at his outburst, for a split second looking at Keane with almost... curiosity? pity?
“I’m pretty sure he’s the only thing keeping me alive. Make no mistake, I think the world would be better off if I wasn't around, but you know,” They shrugged again, weakly, an honesty in their voice almost cut through Keane.
“I--”
“I tried-– I tried a lot of things, for a lot of years, but... nothing ever stuck. I tried so hard for years. And I don't have the energy to fight back anymore. No matter what happens, no matter what I do or what I want, I will always end up killing someone and so it's best just to... not care.”
The mask was gone completely, their words, their actions no longer carefully choreographed. It was what Keane had been trying for but...
He couldn’t find the right words, the right way to respond.
“Abjid…” He started, unsure of what to say.
“You heard everything. The Shadow had me kill an entire city. I alone killed one of my only friends. Now Necrioso wants me to kill an empress, what difference does it make. He wants me to kill her, so I will.”
“Do you want that?” Were the only words Keane could find.
Abjid laughed, this time the bitterness, the pain and anger were clear.
“Does it matter what I want? Do you ask a blade what it wants? Should I keep building a sandcastle of hope right as the high tide rolls in? No matter what I build or don't, it doesn't stop the tide. I can't control the ocean, I'm just a body washed up on shore. Should I rage against the waves and try to change the sea? What will that change? All I can do is build those sandcastles between the tides. You don't have to agree or like me Keane, it’s best if you don't. But I'm tired. Whether you direct your ire at the builder or the tide, the blade or the wielder, it doesn't matter to me.”
There was a long silence before Abjid spoke again, voice almost too quiet to hear, “I'm tired, Keane. What I want doesn't matter, it didn't even matter when I was alive.”
They closed the drawer in front of them with a click, turning away from Keane to limp to another part of the room, finding another drawer to open and look through halfheartedly. Keane was left to grapple with the sinking feeling of his chest, once again unsure if it was out of care, or dread.

Fanfic Masterpost ... sort of
In honor of Fanfic Appreciation, I put together a list of my fics for anyone who’d like to look
Under the cut, because length
Dragon Age:
After the Glitter Fades (Glitterverse): Hawke x Fenris, modern AU. (Long fic, WIP) Hawke and Fenris are movie stars in a torrid love affair. Fenris has a mysterious past. Also Cassandra is investigating a murder mystery? Varric, as ever, is a delight. (*this is borrowed from @nug-juggler‘s excellent and shorter summary!)
Memorable quote: Fenris observed candidly was something sacred. For a moment, Hawke fiercely wished she were an artist. The scene in front of her was too… every word she could think of— beautiful, elegant, breathtaking— was trite, a pale description of perfection.
In the Heart of the Woods: Lavellan x Fairbanks rarepair. (WIP) Inquisitor Lavellan’s heart is broken by a certain Commander, Fairbanks has an appreciation for her, and a love story blooms like elfroot in the Emerald Graves.
Memorable quote: This kiss, she thinks, two mouths moving in perfect unison, is a spell of its own. Not quite love, not yet, but close enough she can pretend it is. Hope wells up, a solid thrum beating in counterpoint to her heart, and for one perfect moment, the world just bows down and… stands still. All that exists, all that ever has existed or ever will exist is wrapped up right here, right now, in Fairbanks’ lips on hers. Motes of dust turn golden in the sunbeams splashing through the roof, and a touch— his thumb, her cheek— says a million more words than words ever could.
Yesterdays: Surana x Zevran, mild Surana x Alistair pining. Post Origins, complete. A Warden’s sacrifice means something only as long as someone remembers it. A king looks back, balancing regrets with happiness.
Memorable quote: With a half-sob, he realizes he’s forgotten the sound of her voice. Oh, he remembers how it made him feel, all those years ago, all the glorious, shining moments where happiness dwells still. But what she truly sounded like, what sounds she made as she buried herself in books, the snap of her magic, the low buzz of her and Zevran whispering in their tent, all of that is gone. He knows it happened, but the memory is lit dimly in his mind, a torch burned too low to be flame but not low enough for embers yet.
If You Ever Did Believe (for my sake): Lavellan x Cullen. (On temporary hiatus) A wary Commander. A lost Dalish mage. Two hearts beating alone and exhausted on a battlefield, their only rest coming from each other.
Memorable quote: “Does your Maker hate us so much?” Isera asked bitterly, and for a moment, Cullen felt as though years had rippled, bringing his past self— still clanking through the halls of Kinloch Hold in Templar plate— and his current together. He’d asked Ser Greagoir the same question once, after a Harrowing went wrong and the body of a former apprentice lay at their feet. So much potential wasted, so much fear in the mages’ eyes after that. For once, Greagoir had shown a hint of emotion, clapping Cullen’s shoulder briefly before walking away, but hadn’t answered.
Voiceverse: Lavellan x Solas/Dread Wolf. (WIP) Building off of the great works of @khirsahle and @athreehundredthirtythree. All mages are born with a soulmate--a voice they hear in the darkness of the Fade all their lives. The lucky ones find their soulmates and forge a bond strong enough to threaten the very foundations of the Chantry. At least, that's what they claim. So what happens when a Dalish mage hears the voice of their most reviled and feared god shaping her dreams?
Memorable quote: Accompanying the thundering voice, great fissures ruptured around her hiding spot, green light streaking upward as they gathered into a roiling cloud. A wave of raw sound— howls, cries, pleas— rolled over her, forcing her to her knees. Iveani clapped her hands over her ears, losing her own scream among the agony thundering through the Fade. All caution, all her hard-won lessons about walking the Fade, vanished into the back of her mind under the need to simply ride out the explosion and survive.
Mass Effect:
Home is Where You Are: Ryder x Jaal (WIP). Ryder didn’t cross two galaxies and 600 years in search of love. But damn if she didn’t find it anyway.
Memorable quote: “I should take a shower,” he mumbled, as the same time as Sara said, “Would you like to stay?” Both of them broke off, staring at the other, and she laughed nervously. That feeling was back, the one from the tech lab, fragility and strength and affection turned fierce and bright tumbling over and over one other.
A Song of Sea and Stars: Garrus x Shepard x Thane (WIP). Our favorite turian badboy sees right through the mask the galaxy’s most famous Commander projects. Neither of them expected to fall in love on a host of impossible missions. And both are taken by surprise by a pious Drell who steals both their hearts.
Memorable quote: (He opens his eyes, shocked how it feels to look into her face, intimate and hungry. He hazily notices that up close, her eyes are thulium-gray. There's a hot, tight knot in his chest and she's pressed so close, he thinks he could count each faint freckle on her face.) (They look like tiny stars.) (…there are twenty-eight on her right cheek. Thirty on her left. And fourteen, right across the bridge of her nose.) (Those are his favorite. They remind him of his own markings.)
the sound of shattering glass: Generic Shepard, post-Tuchanka, pre-Citadel II. The Shroud explodes, taking a beloved friend with it. Shepard only has herself to blame.
Memorable quote: “Damn Reapers,” he said, striving for nonchalance. “Always throwing us around.” “Banged us up pretty good,” she agreed, and he knew she wasn’t talking about their bumps and bruises. “So what do we do about them?” “Get back on our feet. Keep fighting.” Garrus hummed as she shifted closer, pressed her forehead against his neck. “Maybe find a way to use some really big canons I spend half my time adjusting.”
Star Wars:
He Might Like That: Mandalorian x Cara Dune pining. So they argue. So they took down Gideon, and have a magic green frog baby older than both of them. That doesn’t make them a thing. Does it?
Memorable quote: He tunes back into the not-so-friendly argument in time to hear Greef splutter. “You trash talked while holding hands! If that’s not flirting, I’m a kowakian monkey lizard.” “It was arm wrestling, not holding hands,” Din points out mildly.
Star by Star: Post TRoS. Ben x Rey pining, Finn x Rey x Poe. Can three hopeless idiots in love fill a wound as deep as the death of a dyad? Maybe not, but they’re out to try anyway.
Memorable quote: “You know,” Poe whispers, a glint of mischief in his eyes, “if we ever did tell him we loved him, he’d probably sleep right through it.” Rey touches her fingers to his lips, tracing the shape of his questioning smile. It’s an invitation to play, that smile. A careful offer of love, of comfort. And though she’s not sure if he can really understand when even she doesn’t, she’s finally ready to try a little.
Counting The Days (Since Exegol): Finn x Rey x Poe, Ben x Rey. Its been 42 days since Palpatine’s death. 42 long days since she felt the surge of light in Ben Solo. And in her dreams, something whispers on the edge of the Force. But she’s shut it down too tightly to hear it.
Memorable quote: True to form, Poe can’t resist the urge to kiss away Finn’s troubles whenever possible, and Rey looks away to give them a moment. Some love stories work out, yes, and she loves Finn and Poe more than almost anything else. But that doesn’t stop the way bitterness floods her mouth as the memory of Ben surfaces, and it isn’t until Poe gently squeezes her knee (and she throttles back the near-instinctive urge to break his fingers from a lifetime of fending off handsy scavengers on Jakku) that she comes back to the moment. His brow furrows and she reaches for him, smoothing out the lines of his frown with her thumb. “I’m okay,” she says, answering his unspoken question. It’s mostly a lie, but she has to say it. Most days, she’s okay enough.
A Language Made for Lovers: SWTOR (NSFW). Torian Cadera x Bounty Hunter, gender neutral. Reflections on love and marriage under the glow of hyperspace.
Memorable quote: He murmurs in your ear, words that should sound harsh in that still-new tongue scalding your mouth, molding you from aruetii to mandalorian. But the love in his voice softens them, steeps them in warmth and adoration. Still the language of a hunter, of those brave souls willing to be reforged, but with a gentle side, a language reserved for lovers. Words like cyare and riduur, words that mean I love you and forever and home.
Malicious Compliance: SWTOR (NSFW). Malavai Quinn x Sith Warrior, gender neutral. Far away, in an apartment no one knows about, a Sith Lord plays dire games of control... and trust.
Memorable quote: It takes a man with the courage of an entire fleet of Mandalorians to love a Sith, and oh, how he loves you. Like you hung the moons and the stars and all the spaces between. Like you are his other half, like loving you is his sole purpose in life, does Malavai Quinn love you. Your old masters spoke nothing of this, of this enraging hunger gnawing at your bones and curling into the hollows of your rib cage. ... Is it really even love if you don’t want to devour him just a little?
Misc:
Tumblr Prompts: Grab bag of every fandom and series listed above. Prompts filled originally here on tumblr.
Visual Files: Collections of art and commissions from talented friends and artists here on tumblr.
Every Beautiful Thing: Crimson Peak. Thomas x Edith, Edith x Alan. Edith learned, in the dark halls of Allerdale, not to take ghosts lightly. But still she waits, every year, for a chance to see Thomas again. Until the night their son tells her he can see him too.
Memorable quote: Snow heralds nothing but pain in Edith’s world: first her mother’s funeral, smothered in fat white flakes wet on her lashes like tears, then her father’s. Smaller ones, then, rain slowly freezing and scattering on the ground; the ones that night at Allerdale were the smallest yet, more ice pellet than snow. Jagged, hateful things scraping at her with a cold that burned through skin and encased bone.…God, how she has come to hate the snow.
Where I Can’t Follow: Co-authored by @suspendnodisbelief. show!Witcher, mild Geralt x Jaskier. (Temporary hiatus) Drawing from a variety of inspiration, including greek mythos. Geralt takes a blow meant for Jaskier, finally granted the death by battle he expects Witchers to end by. And Jaskier is not having it, at all. It’s his turn to save Geralt, even if he has to walk the entire bloody underworld to do it.
Memorable quote: “Geralt, get up. Come on, open your eyes. You’re going to upset Roach if you keep this up, and she’ll bite me. You know you aren’t allowed to be dead, because Yennefer didn’t give you permission, and neither did the Princess, and I’m pretty sure they both outrank you.”

What are your top 10 Queliot moments?
Nonny, thank you so much for waiting patiently for this one!
I was just going to write out a list (after I got done being EXTREMELY stumped because- you expect me to just pick 10??! Rude.) but then I realized that I just hit 600 followers (what?!), and I wanted to do something a bit more to say thank you to all of you for putting up with me while I’m on my bullshit. So I went back through my favorite episodes and made some gifs for you, too!
Here you go. Hope you like it!!
Gigi’s Top 10 Queliot Moments (YMMV):
10. This is from 1x03, Consequences of Advanced Spellcasting, and… it’s such a great breathing space. This whole episode, the Eliot + Quentin sideplot to retrieve the book was a delight, and it only happened because Eliot is so far gone on this boy. He could have taken literally any of the Physical Kids with him, but no, he’s got a crush on the super cute nerd that just moved in and so it HAS to be Q that comes with him. Eliot is highkey flirting with Quentin here, both as emotional support, and - I will maintain until my dying day - if Kady hadn’t blown the hinges off that door he was planning to make a move on Q that afternoon.
9. I have so many feelings???? This is from 2x01, Knight of Crowns. Things are complex interpersonally between the whole gang right now, but out of everyone parting ways with Eliot, Q is who we get to see saying goodbye. Eliot is actually high king now, and he’s not any less depressed, or damaged emotionally or mentally. It didn’t immediately fix him like he wanted (much like how magic didn’t immediately fix Quentin, but that’s a meta for another time), and now he’s staring down being all that and an unknown future ruling this frankly odd kingdom (from books he apparently never bothered to read? El, baby. SMH.) potentially for the rest of his life without his friends. The two of them are so tender, Q initially leaning against Eliot to provide support, and then he doesn’t hesitate even a moment when Eliot asks for a hug. What at that point could be the very last hug he ever gets from Quentin in this lifetime. There is such a depth of feeling here between the two of them and I’m so glad the show gave us this (in S2! I’m!).
8. 1x11, Remedial Battle Magic. Look at our babies and how happy they are?! I know they’re drunk on wine and emotions and about to seriously fuck their friendships up, but have they ever gotten a moment to breathe and be happy in each other’s presence since this? They haven’t. It’s been arguments and recriminations and quests and beasts and averting world-ending disasters since they woke up from this night. So I treasure this moment of soft smiles and touches (even Margo, I am not opposed to Marqueliot in this list at all). And of course, the threesome it is leading up to, and all of the implications and interpretations of that night that they take forward into the series with them.
7. “I’m trying to tell you, you are not alone here.” From 1x02, The Source of Magic, this bonding scene has always felt very profound to me. These two boys have literally known each other, what, less than a week now? And here is Eliot “feelings are for other people” Waugh, opening up about his past traumas to try and connect with Quentin. The only other person we’ve ever seen him do this with is Mike - Eliot’s other love interest - and we know he told Margo during their Trials. This is Q confessing his biggest fear - that if he loses magic, he will lose his tenuous hold on his mental health - and Eliot reciprocating that confession: inducting Q into the very, very select circle of Eliot’s confidantes. This is each of them accepting some measure of comfort from the presence and understanding of the other, and a moment that underpins their entire relationship from this moment forward.
6. I’m cheating with this one, but I wanted to show both sides of this dynamic, and Quentin and Eliot have not had a chance to fight for their relationship together in the main timeline yet, so these will have to work for now. The first gif is from 4x06, A Timeline and Place, and the second is from 3x13, Will You Play With Me? It’s so, so important to see these moments - even if our boys are dumb and they don’t start fighting until the very last second - when they are willing to lay down everything, and burn down the world for each other. Quentin will NOT let the Monster kill Eliot’s body, and Eliot will NOT let Quentin throw away his future to play jailer to a sociopathic child-god. When push comes to shove, they will choose each other every time. Now if we could only get them to do that when the stakes aren’t life and death, am I right?
5. Another moment from 2x01, Knight of Crowns. This coronation scene is just… Remember that they are fractured leading up to this: we’re coming right off of the fall out from the threesome, and Eliot has been spiraling for episodes now. But then we get this super tender declaration from Quentin: “So, destiny is– it’s bullshit…. For what it’s worth, I think you’re going to be a really good king.” And Eliot’s eyes just, light up, his whole face lifts. Because here is someone who believes in him, wholly and truly. Even after everything they just fucked up together, and separately, Q (someonee good and true) has faith in Eliot, and it’s infectious. They’re both looking at each other here like no one else exists in the world, like nothing is important in this moment except each other. And thats?? Beautiful?!
4. I fucking love this shot. Q kicking over those tiles and then saying “Oops.” is a whole-ass mood. Okay, so this is obviously from 3x05, A Life in the Day, and I could easily have made and entire top 10 list of JUST moments from this sequence because it’s all SO AMAZING. The beauty of all life, amiright? But this moment is so important to me. Making a conscious choice, every day to choose this quest and choose each other takes a toll. Ask anyone you know who’s been in a committed relationship for years. Sometimes it’s just fucking hard. They’ve been at this for so long that their clothes from Earth (which, I’ll remind you, they were still wearing at their 1 year anniversary) have worn thin, and they’re wearing traditional Fillorian garb. This was supposed to be over years ago, but they’re still going. And Q is struggling. And Eliot is struggling. And they argue, but neither of them walks away. I always have to stop and pause at this part of the episode, because this is so domestic and realistic that it makes me cry. And if I start crying here, I’m useless for the rest of the sequence once we get to Arielle and Teddy.
3. 1x01, Unauthorized Magic. So, so many people have talked about Q and El’s first meeting, how Eliot spread himself out on the Brakebills sign elegantly and Quentin’s one bisexual braincell shorted out to the point where, for a moment, he couldn’t even words. But I so rarely see people talk about this moment, when Quentin asks Eliot if he’s hallucinating. This look, right here, is so soft, and sweet. I’m sure Eliot gets hit on all the time, and he was 100% flirting with Quentin when he jumped off that sign and gave him an “I could eat you up” once over. But this is the moment Eliot decided that Margo needed to know about the cute new boy who thought Eliot was exactly the kind of person he would dream into existence, if he made those kinds of decisions. Right here. The beginning of it all.
2. Back to 3x05, A Life in the Day, and if you’re surprised this is my #2 moment you must be new here. This is a kiss that has been brewing for a long time. One not rooted in emotion bottles, and not one that can be passed off as being too drunk to know what you’re doing. Quentin sets his cup down, and starts to say something, but ends up finishing his thought with this kiss. It’s short, but not tentative, and Eliot is… look at his face. He’s surprised, because he’s pretty sure they fucked up their chances at this a season and a half ago. But Q is there and he’s not apologizing and he’s not panicking, and that gives Eliot the courage to reach out and pull Q back in. And for a little while, it’s not about the quest, it’s not about defeating a monster, it’s not about fixing anything they’ve fucked up. This is just about them.
1. “Fifty years. Who gets that kind of proof of concept? Peaches and plums, motherfucker. I’m alive in here!” 4x05, Escape from the Happy Place. So, this scene is where I live now, my trashcan, if you will, with these dumb boys and their dumb faces. Eliot’s absolutely perfect timing, and his delight to see Quentin is just- Just beaming out of his face here. This is the first of many chances he’s going to have to set the record straight, and he does it with style. This was a declaration of love - peaches and plums - and one that only Eliot would be able to give, and only Quentin would be able to understand. Q has been so beat down and defeated this episode, like he’s walking through a world that has faded into black and white, but we can see the moment he understands and the light comes back into his eyes. “Eliot’s alive. He’s alive.”
Honorable mentions to: “I’m Team Eliot.”, “Could I maybe have Eliot back?”, “I find you, and I don’t say magic is real, but I do seduce you”, and the extended throne room scene from 3x05/4x05 - which only didn’t make the list because I couldn’t pick a single shot to slice up for a gif.

Could you maybe do a second part to the Quenton beck fic where reader agrees to be on his team and in this second part she finds out what spiderman did to him. Maybe. Xx
Part 1
(Another long overdue request. Thank you for being patient with me. Hope you like this one.)
Pairing: Quentin Beck x readerSummary: The post-blip reader decided to be on Quentin’s side.Word count: 600
Warning: Angst
You thought to yourself you would be there for him when he fell and crashed into pieces. You were dead sure he would. What kind of idiot thinks they could fool Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D? Unfortunately, that idiot just happened to be the man you love with your dear life.
“I will kill them myself.”
You hear his grim voice echoing through the telecom. You try to call out to him, but Quentin cuts off before you could reach him. You know he knew what you were trying to tell him.
Please stop this.
He has been so happy ever since you agreed to be on board with this whole plan. Yet deep down inside, he understands you being here has nothing to do with Tony Stark. You hate Stark as much as he does, but unlike him, you can move on. You only chose to be here because of how much you love him. And he wishes he could stop for you just like you have been here for him.
Once this ends, we can have all the time in this world, Y/N.
Those five years you have been gone from his life, Quentin couldn’t remember how he survived. He submerged himself in the hatred he has for Stark to forget that you weren’t there. Sometimes he wonders had you not disappeared, could he have been a better man? If only you had been there to hold him in your arm.
“You want this? Then come and get it.”
Quentin knows what to say to trigger trauma in Peter. He knows how Peter must have felt. Loss. Defeat. Uselessness. Because he had been through the same thing when you disappeared. Peter is a good kid. Quentin has thought you might like the kid if you had a chance to meet him. But it’s too late for that now. It’s too late for Quentin. He cannot stop. He let anger and envy consume his mind, and his love for you isn’t strong enough to fight back.
The sound of a gun firing stops you in your track. From afar, you can see Spider-man gripping Quentin’s hand, pointing his gun away. Quentin has taken hit during the fight, and his legs are starting to give out. You freeze in place, watching the scene plays out in front of you.
…
You didn’t know how you made it back to your apartment as the place is so far away from where Quentin planned his attack. Janice must have dragged you back here. Now that Quentin has failed, S.H.I.E.L.D must be on the look for anyone who could be an accomplice.
“Quentin, you idiot.”
You bury your face on the pillow. It’s dark outside now. You couldn’t remember how long you’ve cried. Your eyes feel like they don’t want to open anymore. Your brain is numb, and you don’t know if it’s because of your crying or because of loss.
“Shh…”
You jolt as you feel a familiar warmth wrapping around you. Before you can even turn around, a pair of arms pull you into an embrace. Dry lips press against the side of your face, kissing away the tears. You feel scruffy beard scratching on your cheeks like you have so many nights before.
“Q?”
Your voice sounds broken to the point you can’t even recognize it. Something clicks in your head, and you realize what might have happened on that sky bridge. You want to scream at him, want to slap him hard, want to ask him so many questions. But you can’t. Your body has no strength left.
But your heart is at peace now. Quentin is back to you. Your mind starts slipping away as you fall asleep in his arm, smelling of smoke and dirt. He is whispering something into your ears, but you can no longer register the meaning of his words.
I’m sorry, Y/N.

Danganronpa Kirigiri (3) - Chapter 1, Part 4
Table of Contents | Previous: Chapter 1, Part 3
The entrance door opened automatically.
The ground floor of the castle resembled a hotel lobby, and even had a reception desk where children wearing receptionist outfits were stationed. A soft carpet and sofa in a waiting area off to the side contributed to the cozy atmosphere.
I was surprised to see that a number of children in employee uniforms had formed a line between the entrance and the elevator, all in preparation for Ryuuzouji’s return.
“All together now...”
“Master Ryuuzouji, welcome home.”
The children bowed as a group. Their greetings weren’t in sync, which I thought made them look all the more adorable.
The queue of people continued through the lobby and ended at a door. Those waiting were likely the “lost lambs” who sought Ryuuzouji’s services, and the room beyond that door was probably where they would present their cases and vent their troubles.
Once we reached the elevator, the boy in the vest pressed the call button. After a moment, the doors opened, and he helped reverse Ryuuzouji’s wheelchair into the elevator.
“You get in as well.”
I obeyed Ryuuzouji’s instructions.
Moments before the elevator doors shut, two boys in janitor outfits holding mops and buckets rushed in.
“Oh, Master Ryuuzouji. Welcome home.” “Welcome home.”
The two kids said in unison.
The doors closed, and we began our ascent.
“Have you completed your cleaning duties?” Ryuuzouji asked the children.
“Yes. We made the windows and floors look sparkling new.” “Sparkling new.”
“Very well.”
The children looked ecstatic to receive Ryuuzouji’s affirmation.
They rode with us for a little while, before getting off on the third floor. The elevator continued up further, until we reached the fifth floor.
The doors opened to reveal a red carpeted hallway that stretched out directly forward. The boy in the vest began carefully pushing Ryuuzouji’s wheelchair down the hall.
“You must be wondering what kind of show we are putting on for you,” Ryuuzouji mused. “Or perhaps, you are thinking you have stumbled into the lair of a cult. However, I assure you, this is my normal day-to-day life with no embellishments of any sort.”
All those people in line who revered Ryuuzouji and requested his assistance. All those trusting children who worked under his guidance. This was the daily life of a hero—one who has saved more people than anyone else.
Was this what he wanted to show me?
The world as seen from the chair of a successful detective. And the tranquil paradise he built.
At the end of the long hallway was a set of double doors, which automatically opened as we approached.
What lay beyond those doors stood in harsh contrast to the paradise outside—the lonely battlefield of a hero.
Towers of files and documents piled high. Reference materials haphazardly scattered about. Photographs and scribbled notes pasted here and there. The room was about 600 square feet in size, but the mountains of books stacked all over the place and the oceans of jumbled bundles of paper strewn across the floor made the space feel like a miniature nature diorama, or perhaps, a visual recreation of the world inside Ryuuzouji’s mind.
Once we entered the room, Ryuuzouji took control of his motorized wheelchair and maneuvered into a position by a corner of his desk.
The boy in the vest took a bow before stepping out of the room.
Ryuuzouji and I were all alone.
Following a painful cough, Ryuuzouji tossed a tablet into his mouth and washed it down with a glass of whiskey.
“I hire orphans to work for me here, all of whom are training to become detectives. When necessary, I send them off on investigations. They serve as my eyes and ears, as well as my arms and legs. Think of them as similar to Sherlock Holmes’s Baker Street Irregulars. There are always things you can learn from your predecessors.”
As Ryuuzouji explained the role of the children, he scanned through a couple of papers and jotted down a few notes, before shifting his attention to a completely different set of documents. Even now, he was solving cases one after another.
“Do you force those kids to help carry out your crimes?” I asked.
Ryuuzouji flashed a wide grin before shaking his head. “Their work is solely as detectives.”
“So they aren’t aware of what you do behind the scenes,” I spat in disgust. “You’ve achieved the highest honor and standing as a detective, and even today, you continue to devote your efforts to solving cases. Why conspire with a criminal organization? I can’t wrap my head around it at all. How can someone like you call yourself a detective while simultaneously serving as an associate of the Crime Victims’ Salvation Committee without feeling conflicted?”
“I ask you, what possible reason would I have to feel such inner conflict?”
His unashamed tone struck me speechless.
“There is no difference between the ultimate goal of a detective and the Committee—salvation,” Ryuuzouji explained as he filed away documents one after another. “Of course, the methods may not completely be sound; undoubtedly, there is blood on my hands. Nevertheless, it cannot be refuted that I have saved more people with these hands than anyone else on this earth. That is my pride, and that pride is what allows me to continue my work as a detective.”
“None of that justifies committing crime,” I said, venting my frustration. “That goes even more so for a detective! Someone like you should despise crime and constantly be fighting against those who break the law.”
“Fufufu... I suppose.” For a second, he stopped flipping through his files to glance at me. “However, do not misunderstand me. We do despise crime, and we are fighting against those who act unlawfully. Tell me. Compare yourself—someone who has only been spouting platitudes on the sidelines without engaging yourself in combat—to us seasoned veterans who have bathed in the rain of blood in the heart of the battlefield. Who can you claim to be truly fighting?”
“Erm... But...” I struggled to find the words to counter him. As someone with only a few years of experience dabbling in detective work, I had no chance of winning a debate against a detective whose illustrious career spanned multiple decades.
“Working as a detective for many years... you find yourself in situations where adhering to ‘decent’ methods fail to save a single soul. Throughout my life, I have been one to strictly observe laws, ethics, virtually anything that can be deemed a set of rules, and I have judged myself by that standard. However, because of that, I have found myself frustrated on many an occasion. I have prayed to God countless times, wishing for the opportunity to save more and more people.”
A prayer befitting his status as an exceptional detective—
This world may have been too small to fully appreciate his genius.
“Is that why you joined the Crime Victims’ Salvation Committee?”
“Yes, to put it simply. Duel Noirs at their core are held in accordance with a fair set of rules. I sensed a fair spiritual aura emanating from Mikado Shinsen. If he were simply a terrorist who lacked a moral code, I would never have associated myself with him.”
“So involving completely innocent bystanders in revenge plots is fair to you?”
“Sacrifice is inevitable in seeking pure salvation—that is the conclusion I have reached.”
“N-No way... You’ve got that completely wrong!”
Compared to him, I was a total neophyte in terms of experience and expertise, but I was certain in my conviction. Condoning murder and failing to question its legitimacy irrevocably descended into the world of sin.
“You will never forgive us—that is what you believe.” Ryuuzouji slowly circled around the desk and approached me. “We are one and the same. I could never forgive evil either. That is why in order to defeat that evil, I vowed to obtain a weapon far stronger than it.”
“No... I’m not like you.”
“You merely have yet to make the commitment.”
“You’re wrong!”
Was he really wrong?
“I...”
I always wanted to be an ally of justice. I always wanted to save those in need of help. That was why I started walking down the path of a detective.
After reminding myself of that, I suddenly grew fearful of myself.
My image of the ideal detective was none other than Gekka Ryuuzouji himself.
“You have every reason to hesitate. That is precisely the part of you that I found myself fascinated with. You are exactly like who I was in the past.”
No... I'm not like him.
“You value the honor that derives from being a detective. I see that as the sole condition necessary to continue in this line of work.”
Before I realized it, Ryuuzouji had made his way right in front of me. His sharp, glimmering gaze pierced through my soul.
“Now, focus your ears. You should be able to hear them—the voices calling out to you...”
Sis...
...Yui.
Ah... I can hear a voice calling out to me for help.
It’s my little sister.
And Kyoko too.
What was I fighting for?
“I understand you,” Ryuuzouji said. “You are one of us. You are someone who is ready and willing to dirty your hands for those who seek salvation.”
What was the meaning of justice for a detective?
What did I even want to accomplish in the first place?
“Now, let the game continue,” Ryuuzouji said, interrupting my thoughts.
Taken aback by his remark, I snapped back to reality.
“Do you recall the rules?” he asked. “All you have to do is make a choice. However, this choice is not to be made lightly—no matter your decision, the result will have a resounding impact on your life.”
As I stood there in stunned silence, Ryuuzouji pulled out the two envelopes from his inner coat pocket.
One was black. The other was white.
“As soon as you take one of these envelopes into your hand, turn around and leave the room,” Ryuuzouji ordered, pointing at the closed set of doors through which we had entered. “At that moment, the new world you have chosen for yourself will manifest beyond those doors.”
White or black.
Which would be the path towards actually saving people?
I didn’t know.
Which choice should I make?
I had no clue.
The only thing that rang clear to me—
Was the sound of her voice.
Maybe that was where I should look to find the answer.
I shall venture forth—
I grabbed one of the envelopes from his hand.
—On the path I have chosen.
With a smug smile on his face, Ryuuzouji spun his wheelchair around, turning his back to me.
“It appears I have won this gamble,” he said. “I find your decision honorable.”
My body turned around and started walking towards the exit.
I opened the door and left the battlefield behind me.

Quiet (Free Space)
A/N: my first fic for @marvelfluffbingo . This is also written for an anonymous request I received a LONG time ago. “Matt gets a concussion or something from a fight and his senses are dulled (kinda like the scene where he couldn’t hear, maybe not so extreme, up to you) and the reader is there to help him stay grounded so he won't panic.”
Square filled: Free Space
Pairing: Matt Murdock x Reader
Word count: 600
Warnings: tinnitus, hyperacusis, some fluff
View my bingo card and make a suggestion here
“Matt?” you called as you used your key to enter your boyfriends loft. Last night he mentioned that he wasn’t feeling well, and he hadn't answered the phone when you called after work, so you decided to stop in and check on him.
He was sitting on the couch with his head in his hands when you walked in. You thought it was just a headache until you sat your bag on the table and you saw him flinch at the noise.
‘Shit,” you thought, realizing that he was having an episode of over stimulation. You hadn’t seen this happen to him in a while. When you were in college together, this only happened once, and Foggy had already been there to help out.
Immediately, you slipped off your heels and placed them as quietly as you could on the carpeted area of the floor. When you approached, you saw that he was wearing his noise-canceling headband to dull some of the sharper sounds that were affecting him. Matt’s eyes were pressed closed and he was practically rocking back and forth as he mumbled a prayer to himself. “Patience is a virtue of the Lord...grant me a droplet of such endurance…”
Had he even noticed you in the apartment or were you just part of the noise? You gently touched his shoulder and he jumped again but relaxed a little after you whispered that it was just you. You got him into his bedroom where the acoustics would be slightly dampened and you had a better chance of getting him to relax.
The muffled sound of your cell phone buzzing against your keys in your bag in the living room woke Matt up. He crinkled his nose, noting the sandalwood and bergamot candle had been opened in the kitchen. He looked down, finally realizing that you were in bed with him; stripped down you your silk bra and panties. He stretched, pulling you closer to him.
The movement was enough to wake you. “Hey,” you said with a yawn. “How are you feeling?”
“Good,” Matt whispered, thinking about for a moment and correcting his answer. “Better.”
“What happened? You haven’t had hyperacusis like that since college. ...scared me a little.”
“Sorry,” he apologized, kissing your forehead and sounding regretful that you had to witness such a hard moment for him after so long. “I took a hit the other night and I thought I could walk it off, but it kept getting worse until it was too much.”
“Are you okay now?” you asked, concerned.
Matt shrugged. “Everything’s still...wrong. But it’s better; bearable.”
“How does it feel?” You asked, running a hand through his messy hair.
“Well,” he said sitting up on his elbow. “It’s like every sound is right there in the room with me. Right there in my head, really. I cant pick out one thing to focus on, so my brain tries to process all of it until it gets overwhelming or painful in some cases.”
He could feel you staring at him so he kept talking. “Or the opposite. Frank shot me once and I lost my hearing for a few hours.”
“So when you say it’s bearable, you’re saying…”
“My hearing is kind of dulled right now like I’m still wearing earmuffs. Doesn’t hurt anymore though. I’ll be back to myself in no time, Y/N. Promise.” He could tell you were worried, so he tried to make the situation seem a little more casual.
“Okay,” you said, finally satisfied that he’d be alright. You looked out the window and it was still dark outside; probably very early in the morning. “Breakfast in bed later?”
Matt hugged you tighter, his hands ghosting down your side as he rolled on top of you, trapping you under him.
“Only if the breakfast is you,” he said, smiling as he dipped down press a quick kiss to your lips.
“The way you flirt is shameful!” you laughed.
“I do my best.”

Fanfic Master List (Johnlock)
I left this pairing for last since it’s the one I’ve written more fics about so... well. Here we are! Enjoy!
Burned hearts
Johnlock, complete, 7300 words.
Summary: A retell from the scene at the pool in TGG, in which John is never revealed to be Moriarty’s hostage. Believing himself fooled, Sherlock goes through a bit of a meltdown.
Some personal notes on it: this idea came to me when I first watched TGG. I think that I could have expanded it so much more and make it even more angsty but well… I still like it.
Additional notes: angst, lots of self doubt, Sherlock doesn’t cope well, Mycroft and Greg are very concerned.
Apples and Oranges
Johnlock, complete, 600 words.
Summary: Kid Sherlock is attempting to figure out why would people like kissing. John helps.
Some personal notes: this was a fill in for a tumblr prompt. Just some kidlock fluff.
Additional notes: AU, kidlock, fluff.
Long shot
Johnlock, complete, 44200 words.
Summary: Omega werewolf Sherlock is engaged to human Prince John, after having scared off his last suitor. It seems it might be working out for the best though- at least until the Dark and Immortal Wizard Moriarty rises again.
Some personal notes: when I write original fiction, I tend towards fantasy with a mix of romance. Indulging in my love for both genres was a joy. Also, this was my work with most kudos for a long while, so I guess it shows ;)
Additional notes: A/B/O dynamics, Mpreg, arranged marriage, angst, pining, misunderstandings, Jim being Jim (he’s the perfect fairytale villain, honestly)
Wildest dreams
Johnlock (although victorian), complete, 3800 words.
Summary: Watson puts an end to his relationship with Holmes, in order to marry Mary Morstan.
Some personal notes: have I told you how I love Taylor Swift’s songs? I had been trying to avoid writing this particular fic because I worried about my abilities to write something with such a strict historical setting, but I should probably have stopped listening to the song because it soon became too much :P
Additional notes: victorian (but a bit loosely I think), angst, pining, unhealthy coping mechanisms… HAPPY ENDING
Mistaken impressions
Johnlock, complete, 16300 words
Summary: John is convinced his neighbor’s boyfriend is a jerk. He sort of is, but he’s actually Sherlock’s brother.
Some personal notes: I liked this idea, but as I started writing… I lost my way a bit. So now I’m a bit stuck with is, since I have no idea where exactly I want to go with it, although I have what I think might be the last chapter half-written.
Additional notes: references to past abusive relationships, past drug addiction, unhealthy coping mechanisms, angst, drama, pining, MISUNDERSTANDINGS and some attempts of humor.
Hopeless
Johnlock, complete, 45800 words.
Summary: John’s a slave in Lord Magnussen’s household. When a new slave arrives and the Master takes a fancy on her (although it’s really him), John finds himself doing the best he can to protect him.
Some personal notes: this idea came to me in a dream. Which is why it’s far darker than my usual writings and also the reason for Trans Sherlock. I don’t like fighting my inspiration and well… I went with it, even if it added another layer of complications to this particular fic.
Additional notes: trans character, misgendering, implied/referenced noncon (although there’s nothing explicit), underage (it’s never explicitly stated, but Sherlock is 14 when the fic starts), slavery, sexual slavery, very dark, very angsty, mentions of violence, murder and abuse. It has a happy/hopeful ending, though!
Home for Christmas
Johnlock, complete, 8500 words.
Summary: When Mycroft Holmes informs his family he’s bringing along a friend for Christmas, the household is thrown into utter chaos: Mummy Holmes is delighted, of course and Mr. Holmes is just baffled. Sherlock, however, is determined to figure out what is his brother up to. Mycroft doesn’t do friendships, let alone relationships, so who is this mysterious Dr. John H. Watson and what’s his business with his brother?
Some personal notes: this is the actual summary on AO3, but I really don’t know a better way to describe it ;) I think my attempt of humor did work here, even if it endeded up including a bit of angst (but not much)
Additional notes: Alternate First Meeting, humor, Christmas fic, misunderstandings (of a sort), family.
Black magic
Johnlock, complete, 7400 words.
Summary: John ends up with a magic love potion (he was drunk, don’t judge him!) and in a fit of desperate longing, he gives it to Sherlock. He didn’t expect it to work since magic does not exist, so he’s a little baffled when Sherlock starts acting love-struck.
Some personal notes: this was the first fic I meant to write for the fandom. I never got around finishing until now, when I figured I might as well give it another try. I think it could have been longer, but I had no idea what else to write :P
Additional notes: attempt of humor, magic, a surprising amount of discussion of consent issues, not actually unrequited love.
All is fair (in love and war)
Johnlock, complete, 6300 words.
Summary: Eurus’ “game” forces John and Sherlock to confess long hidden feelings. It turns out as well as you’d expect.
Some personal notes: It started as a rewrite of the “I love you” scene in TFP, turned into a sort of fix it fic. I like it, even if I’m not completely sure the logic holds :P
Additional notes: angst, drama, hurt without comfort, but has a happy ending!
Priceless
Johnlock, complete 22485 words.
Summary: Sherlock is a Prince with a Kingdom at war. He makes a deal with the all powerful wizard called “the Dark One”; the wizard will stop the war if Sherlock stays with him forever.
Some personal notes: this fic is result of the FandomTrumpsHate auction, for the lovely @sherlock-and-john-getting-it-on. I was asked for a “Beauty and the Beast” inspired fic with John as the Beast. I asked for the chance to use the Once Upon a Time spin of the tale and this is the result.
Additional notes: magical AU, pining, misunderstandings (they’re both so silly it hurts!), includes my attempt of some proper smut, Jim wrote himself into it and in doing that provided me with an ending :P
Saving all my love for you
Johnlock,
Summary: Unrequited love is no fun.
Some personal notes: I just wanted to write something angsty, heart tugging. There isn’t much plot, really, just a lot of pining and self reflection.
Additional notes: based on the song by the same title, angst, pining, sad, unilock.
The art of letting go
Johnlock, complete, 47400 words.
Summary: Sherlock convinces himself that if he can’t remember what happened on the stag night, then it didn’t happen at all. Until he finds out he’s pregnant and he can’t keep pretending, that is.
Some personal notes: Oh, I loved working on this. I have a thing for unplanned pregnancies (as you can probably tell) and while writing a character as trans always makes me nervous, I thought it worked well. The story is very angsty at points and it doesn’t get hopeful until the very end so… be warned!
Additional notes: Trans character, Mpreg, angst (a lot), jealousy, pining, Mary and John are married but she isn’t pregnant, pos TSoT, follows HLV more or less.
A fortunate encounter
Johnlock, complete, 4528 words.
Summary: While escaping a group of enemy soldiers, Sherlock ends up in a mysterious island.
Some personal notes: after watching the Wonder Woman movie I couldn’t contain myself and ended up writing this short thing ;)
Additional notes: Wonder Woman AU, love at first sight, spoilers for the movie (somewhat, but not really), romance.
Just friends
Johnlock, side mystrade, complete, 4400 words
Summary: Just friends don’t live together, have sex and generally enjoy a life of sweet domesticity.
Except John and Sherlock do, apparently.
Some personal notes: Cliche, I know, but cute. I became a little obsessed with the idea of friends with benefits due a song :P
Additional notes: alternate universe- college, a little angst, friends with benefits (except not), lack of communication.
The answer
Johnlock, very side Mystrade, complete, 16700 words.
Summary: Friendless and penniless, John agrees to participate on a study conducted by the renowned researcher, Sherlock Holmes, to find the answer to what’s probably the most important question in the world: what’s love?
Some personal notes: this is vaguely based on the book “The answers”, going in the direction I thought the author was going to go when I started reading it (I like my idea much better, I must say)
Additional notes: fake/pretend relationship, a little pining, Sherlock is bad at feelings (and so is John), pseudo science (don’t look too deep into it), lack of communication.
Don’t forget me (I won’t forget you)
Johnlock, complete, 2600 words.
Summary: Sherlock wakes up one day to find he’s the only person who can remember John Watson.
Some personal notes: this idea came to me one day and refused to leave until I wrote it down. It’s just the beginning of a tale, but I don’t have much a plot planned so it’s marked as finished.
Additional notes: Eurus has actual telepathic powers, a little angst, memory alteration, open ending.
And that’s it! They weren’t quite as many as a feared :P
I hope you’ll enjoy them! Kudos & comments mean the world to me.
And if you can, maybe Buy Me a Coffee
My other lists are here: rare pairs, johnlock & mystrade, mystrade

–The Ultimate Man’s Travel Guide To Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai is the largest city in the northern region and the second in Thailand.
It is the most visited city in the region and has recently enjoyed a tourism boom with backpackers and casual tourists alike, flocking to see the city and of course, to meet the local girls.
In fact, Chiang Mai is a place where traditional culture meets a vibrant nightlife scene.
Regarding culture, this Thai city offers:
A great scenery consisting of beautiful mountains and hills;
Historic Buddhist temples.
When comes to nightlife, there are so many places and cool things to do, that can’t be described in short but you’ll find out more while reading this guide.
Chiang Mai has enjoyed a recent boom in digital nomads living in the city due to the very low cost of living and the laid-back atmosphere.
However, the main reason Chiang Mai is attracting a young crowd has to do with the many trendy bars and clubs where you can drink the night away while picking up HOT local girls.
There are foreign-oriented bars with Thai girls working as waitresses and hostess, ready to spend a night with you while serving a cold beer.
Also, the city is the university and financial hub of Northern Thailand and girls from all areas of the region flock to the city to study and find work.
In fact, you can find quality Thai girls on dating sites who are open to meet foreigners for casual dating or serious relationships.
This means that you are able to find a whole mixture of hot Northern Thai girls within close proximity. It’s like a giant “girlie supermarket” where you can hand pick the finest products.
Just imagine walking around town and see young girls all over the place… It’s a single man’s paradise.
What I love about Chiang Mai is the size. It’s relatively small compared to Bangkok with most of the activities based around the city walls.
You will find most of the cultural tourist’s spots within the ‘Old City’, where you can easily walk through the vicinity.
When the night falls, the town turns from a historical centre to a lively party city. There are nightclubs filled with all the girls you can dream of, and night markets where you can enjoy cheap local food.
Everything is less commercialized, more authentic and so much more fun than other touristic Thai cities like Pattaya and Phuket.
So, if you’re looking for young Thai girls with genuine intentions and an awesome nightlife, Chiang Mai is the place for you.
When To Visit Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai has a slightly different climate than the rest of Thailand being to the extreme North: it’s cooler and less tropical.
The seasons can be split into three; ideal, peak and rainy.
– Rainy Season; In most South East Asian countries, the monsoon weather takes over the early part of June to around Mid October.
Heavy rainfall and chances of storms make it inadvisable to visit this time of year which makes the city all too quiet.
– Peak Season; The peak season starts from late March to late May.
Of course, the Songkran festival is held on April which attracts tourists from all over the world to join in on the huge water fight while making the Chaing Mai girls – wet.
Although predominantly sunny, the temperatures in the day averages at around 38 degrees C which can make it unbearable for Western tourists, especially with its high humidity and pollution levels. Prices can also increase due to the number of tourists in the city.
– Ideal Season; The ideal season can be a mix of the rainy and peak season.
Sure, there can be the occasional rainfall however this can bring the temperature down to a more comfortable level.
This is the time where the nightlife starts to pick up and the clubs are full with girls. This is from November to late February.
What About Girls In Chiang Mai?
Chiang Mai girls are traditional and less in your face being shy. Also, they can’t speak much English beside bar girls and university students, so talking to them first hand can be a bit difficult.
The Northern type of lifestyle is evident with the girls as they can only be described as relaxed and friendly but still conservative when comes to an intimate relationship.
They are family orientated and focus on their studies to make their parents proud. Their kind of upbringing also makes them very down to earth and less materialistic than their counterparts down to Bangkok.
Regarding appearance, what stands out is their lighter skin. They look more alike Chinese girls than original Thais.
So, to reassume, Chiang Mai girls are excellent girlfriend and wife material. They are love caring while down to hearth making them excellent wives and mothers.
However, finding quality Chaing Mai girls take some effort and you must look into the right places.
The best place to pick up this type of girls in the university, but social pressure and communication barrier can make the task daunting.
If you can’t speak Thai, the best option is to become a member of a dating site that allows you to translate messages while targetting Thai girls that are into foreign men.
In this way, you can easily chat with Chiang Mai girls without face to face pressure, knowing each other and decide to meet when you’re ready.
I consider Chaing Mai a destination for any men seeking romance and love with young and attractive Thai girls. The reason is the many universities in town that attracts quality girls from all over the region.
If that is what you’re looking for, Chiang Mai is the place for you!
–Typical Costs in Chiang Mai
If this is your first time traveling to Chiang Mai, I bet you are wondering how much everything costs. Below is a breakdown summary of what to expect to pay while in Chiang Mai:
• Chiang Mai Accommodation’s Price
The cost of a decent room in Chiang Mai start at around 900 bhat per night, but even the nicest hotels like De Lanna Hotel or Lanna Tree Boutique Hotel would set you back only 2.000 baht.
In average, a buffet breakfast in the hotel cost around 250 bhat that usually is included in the room price. Consider this extra cost if you decide to bring a Thai girl with you.
Personally, I prefer having breakfast in the small shops around Chiang Mai because is cheaper (below 100 baht) and the girls prefer it to the hotel buffet.
Make sure that the hotel is girl friendly. In other words, you don’t get charged extra for bringing back girls to your room. Not only is embarrassing but it can cost up to 1.000 baht per girl.
I didn’t pay any extra during my stay in Chiang Mai…
• Food and Drinks Prices
Chiang Mai has some of the best food Thailand has to offer. These cuisine doesn’t damage the wallet either with plenty of options.
Street food can range from 30 baht to 80 Baht per dish. Expect to double that amount when sitting in a standard Thai restaurant which can reach up to 600 Baht for two.
When dining in a higher class establishment usually serving Western food, costs can surmount to 1000 baht per person and higher, should you order alcoholic drinks.
• Cost of Transportation in Chiang Mai
From Chiang Mai Airport
Chiang Mai airport is located a short distance from the city center. Songathaew and tuk-tuks are readily available to provide taxi services outside the terminal building and the fastest way to reach town.
Expect to pay 160 baht for a taxi to most destinations in the city, while the return trip to the airport costs around 100 baht.
Check with your hotel to see if they provide this service, most arrange free transfer to and from the airport.
Inside Chiang Mai
There are lots of ways to get around Chiang Mai; Perhaps the most common is by songthaew (a shared transport pick up trucks) with fares around 30 baht.
Taxi apps such as grab are also available and doubling the cost of a songathaew depending on where you want to go.
Tuk Tuks litter the city which includes an authentic Thailand experience. Expect to pay up to 100 baht per trip.
Lastly, there are buses available which start at cost of a very affordable 20 baht.
• Cost For Entertainments
An unforgettable holiday includes girls, drinks and fun. Here an overview of general entertainment’s prices, but remember to bargain as the initial price isn’t always the best price…
1. Go Go Girlie Bars Prices in Chiang Mai
Go Go bars are popular in Thailand offering dancers you can take away with you for price known as bar fine.
Bar fines in Chaing Mai Go Go bars range from 600 baht to 700 baht. Drinks cost between 60 to 160 baht.
Lady drinks can range from 120 baht to 200 baht depending on the establishment. The ladies prefer the tequila shots which cost around 135 baht and can be sucked up in a second.
Most girls will ask 2.000 baht for short time, but the standard rate is between 1.000 to 1.500 baht. The cost of all night is highly negotiable starting at 2.000 baht.
Go Go girls shot for the highest price as a way to test you and see how far they can go in taking your money. Don’t let them play around, you’re the master and you decide her pay.
2. Beer Girlie Bars Prices in Chiang Mai
There are many beer bars in Chiang Mai but most are located in Loi Kroh Road, inside the Chiang Mai Entertainment Complex where I’ve counted 25 beer bars.
Everything is slightly cheaper than Go Go bars, with drinks around 70-160 baht, bar fine at 500 baht and lady drinks on 130-150 baht range.
The girls ask for short time about 2000 Baht, but personally I offer 1.000 baht for a standard girl and max 1.500 baht for a hot and young spinner. For long time, 2.000+ baht.
3. Night Clubs Prices in Chiang Mai
Chaing Mai has a good variety of nightclubs where you can party while picking up Thai women but also foreign girls.
I discuss more in details about the best nightclubs in Chiang Mai’s Nightlife section.
The clubs located in Nimman – Soi 7 & 9 are mostly oriented to Thai people. The entrance is free, the booze is cheap all below 100 baht while most of the girls are genuine and not freelancing.
Always in Nimman, outside Soi 7 & 9 there are larger clubs with better bands but an entrance fee of 200 baht including a drink. Also, the beverage is more expensive.
In the old city, the clubs have an international crowd where you can get Thai freelancers for 1.000 – 1.500 baht all night.
You can take advantage of happy hours that can greatly reduce the cost of the drinks and offer a bundle pack of drinks
4. Chiang Mai Freelancers Prices
Freelancers are cheaper than picking girls from the go go and beer bars.
Depending on how hot they are, the standard price ranges from 1.000 – 1.500 baht all night.
The hotter and younger they are, the higher the price, but don’t forget to negotiate.
4. “Happy” Massage Parlors Prices
Chaing Mai has a wide selection of massage shops that might offer extras, erotic massage SPA and soapy parlors.
Most “happy” ending massage shops are located in Loi Kroh Road but the girls are average looking but offer lower prices:
A handjob starts at 400 baht;
Blowjobs at 700 baht
Full package costing up to 1.000 baht.
However, not all the massage girls are up for happy endings, so explain to them what are your expectation before going for the massage room.
Erotic massage SPAs are more expensive but the girls are sexy, more than girls in Loi Kroh Road.
The two most popular places are Absolute Paradise Spa and Raspberry Spa offering body to body massage plus and handjob for 1.500 baht.
For any extras, you need to negotiate the price with the massage girl directly.
If you are looking for all-inclusive service like soap bath, slippery body to body massage and dirty fun with a busty North Thailand girl – a soapy parlor is the place for you.
The girls are divided into quality groups with price ranging from 1.000 baht to 2.500 baht.
5. “Regular” Quality Girls In Chiang Mai
Any girl that you see working in shops, hotels and restaurants might be interested in dating a foreigner, especially in touristic areas.
Regular girls prices don’t really exist. Just like in real life, if you find the right person, you will not have to pay them.
The best thing with these meetups is that like a normal date, you would not need to pay for sex, just romance them.
You can stroll through the malls, visit temples or by eating in a restaurant and you can meet a beautiful local girl that you would most likely get on with.
Also, you can meet Chiang Mai girls interested in foreign men on dating sites.
Whether you meet them in real life or online, keep in mind that Western customs can be very different to Thai traditions and the best way to make this successful is that for both to meet in the middle.
There are also girls that are still in education that would like to be ‘sponsored’. This means that they will be your girlfriend as long as you would financially help them through university.
The price for a sponsored girls starts at 10.000 baht up to 40.000 baht. Typically, you get into such arrangement ent only if you’re looking for a long-term relationship without attachment.
6. Ladyboys In Chiang Mai
Thailand is probably the most popular country for ladyboys in the world.
Due to Chiang Mai being one of the most visited cities in Thailand, there has been an increased demand over the years from foreigners that want ladyboys.
Fortunately, the cost for ladyboy’s companionship isn’t increased and is almost identical to the girl’s prices:
• Ladyboys in Beer Bar’s Price: 500 baht bar fine and 1.500 baht for short time. There are 2 popular ladyboy’s bars on Loi Kroh Road.
• Ladyboys in Beer Bar’s Price: 500 baht bar fine and 1.500 baht for short time. There are 2 popular ladyboy’s bars on Loi Kroh Road.
• Ladyboys Freelancer’s Price: 1.000 – 2.000 bath. All over town.
• Ladyboys in Massage Shop’s Price: 500 Baht for a handjob and 700-800 Baht for a blow job. The are ladyboys working in massage shops on Loi Kroh Road.
• Ladyboys on Dating Sites: Free if a ladyboy looking for a boyfriend or 1.000 baht if a freelancer ladyboys. Online at Thai Friendly.
In conclusion, you’re going to spend on average 1,500 baht for accommodation, 600 baht for foods and drinks, 300 Pesos for transportation and 2,500 Pesos for entertainment. All these figures add up to 4.900 Pesos per day.
This is only an average, you can spend much more by upgrading accommodation or much less by meeting with girls met on dating sites for free instead of working girls.
To get a better idea about Thai girl’s price and their value, see the graphic below:
–Safety Tips & Tricks
• Thai ID Cards; Always check that the person you will have sex with is over 18. Check their ID cards by subtracting 543 from the current Thai year.
• Bargain Hard; As previously mentioned, always bargain. The locals will take advantage of you by overcharge you whether from food to sex.
• Agree on the Price; Make sure you agree on a price before proceeding to do anything.
• Keep Your Valuables Safe; Make sure that you have eyes on your belongings at all times. Whether you are out partying or in your hotel room, always keep your valuables safe.
• Ladyboys; Unfortunately, ladyboys have a bad reputation for stealing so always keep your wits.
• Monitor Your Bills; Make sure that you double check the bills and receipts to ensure that you are only paying for the items you have asked for. You will sometimes find a rogue bill inserted to your tab when you are out drinking, especially in a Go Go bars.
• Wrap Up; This one is very obvious, always use protection. The girls you encounter may have all sorts of STD’s due to the nature of their work and the unprotected sex withThai boyfriends. Protect your health at all times.
• Moderate Drinking; I don’t want to sound like your mother or a priest, but in my girly experiences around Asia, I had better times when sober than drunk.
–DATE CHIANG MAI WOMEN
The girls in Chiang Mai are the friendliest in Thailand. They are a pleasure to hang out with, even if you don’t have sex in mind.
They are down to earth, love caring and respectful while ensuring to please you.
However, it’s difficult to find a Chaing Mai woman that can speak perfect English so bear that in mind. Having said that, I don’t mean they don’t speak English at all, only that their English is basic so you need to be patient when communicating.
Their lack of English does not mean they are not smart either, most young girls in Chiang Mai are studying at the university.
For some reason, it seems that Thai universities aren’t focused on foreign languages.
The girls can be very shy so you must approach them with caution and making sure not being too outspoken.
Once you get to know them, they are some of the best Thai girls to be around, as they know how to understand and please a man.
Due to their conservative nature, once they think that you are boyfriend material, beware. They may ask you to visit their parents, and then their expectations are to get married.
Although the practice being harmless, just be careful if something long term is what you want. These are the types of girls that want to have a family and marry you not just for your money.
There are different ways of meeting beautiful local girls, which depends on what you really want…
How To Meet Local Girls In Chiang Mai
To meet quality Chiang Mai girls, these are your options:
• Online Dating
The easiest and fastest way to connect with some local beauty.
Most girls in Thailand have a smartphone so they can have access to dating apps. The good thing about dating online is the convenience (from the comfort of your sofa) and a wide selection of girls only “one click” away.
Meeting Chiang Mai girls online is less intimidating than chasing them in malls or around Chiang Mai’s streets.
Just imagine how she feels by getting approached by a foreign man in a public area; In one world I would say; “Intimidating”.
Also, it’s better to set updates before you get into town. If you arrive with no contacts, then you are putting yourself in a stressful situation.
Most quality Chiang Mai girls are busy either studying or working long hours, so don’t expect to meet them in nightclubs or bars.
Most girls you see around town are either working in low paying jobs as waitress or receptionist.
So, the only way to meet quality local girls is online.
In my experience, building a relationship of trust and affection with girls prior to a trip is the best way to achieve the ULTIMATE HOLIDAY.
If you want to meet online girls in Chiang Mai, I recommend using:
– Thai Cupid – It is the biggest dating site in Thailand with thousands of women looking for romance, relationship and why not, a night stand.
Hundreds of girls ready to chat day and night. Talk with multiple girls at the same time. You know, Thai women write very slow.
By signing up with Thai Cupid you will access hundreds of Chiang Mai girls and thousands of Thai women.
You can meet sweet country side women looking for love, or some slut in the major tourist destinations for one night stand. Make sure to complete your profile with some good picture of you (no naked) and a clear description of what you are looking for, what you offer and only talk briefly about yourself.
Avoid pretending to be a romantic man when in reality you love to get tied up and pissed in the face. Be yourself!
– Thai Friendly – Not as many women as in Thai Cupid dating website but definitely enough to get you started.
I have found some good girls here. However, I always watch out from women asking you for money.
Good girls don’t do that, and only fool men would wire money to a girl never met before.
I hear horror stories all the time from travelers being cheated by women online. I never had an issue with Thai Friendly. They do a good job by keeping their users in check, trying to remove scammers and fake accounts.
You might find interesting my Thai friendly review.

The second option to meet quality Chiang Mai women is to…
• Walk Around Chiang Mai
Walking around Maya Lifestyle mall or through Promenada and you’ll find girls just getting on with their day to day lives.
Have some cheap local food or shop in the night bazaar and you may bump into a countryside Thai girl.
The place is relatively smaller compared to Bangkok so everyone will most likely be located within the city walls.
Just remember to speak slowly and have a big smile on your face. If the girl looks not interested in talking to you, just move on to the next one.
If all else fails, the next option might be for you…
• Visit Nightclubs and Discos
Ching Mai nightlife is not as crazy as Bangkok or Phuket for that matter, but there are still many places where you can have a good time and possibly meet a nice local girl.
There are mainly three types of girls in these clubs: freelancers, HiSo and curious girls.
– Freelancers are girls to lazy to work in bars or massage parlors. They are in their 20s and love to party while making some money.
These girls are FUN to be with, LOVE to party hard, and bang even harder… Not only that, freelancers are excellent tour guides showing you around Chiang Mai, besides emptying your balls.
However, they aren’t free but not as expensive as Go Go bars girls.
– HiSo Chiang Mai Girls are usually born and grow up in a wealthy local family.
You can notice them because they dress very well, extremely expensive and act like superstars. Usually, they hang out in large groups making them almost impossible to approach.
The best way to meet one of those girls is by befriending a local Thai guy that has access to quality local people.
– Curious Girls are usually bored with their own culture and men, looking for new experiences outside Thai traditions.
Some might be studying, working in restaurants or shops and others might have finished a relationship with their longtime boyfriend.
It may take a while to get the girl to sleep with you but the main thing is that you would not have to pay anything to get laid!
Curious girls are lovely, traditional, willing to learn your culture and please you all the way. The bad news is they are not common.
If you prefer quick sex with hookers rather than quality girls, then check out the Chiang Mai nightlife guide below…
–CHIANG MAI NIGHTLIFE
As mentioned already, the nightlife in Chiang Mai is nowhere near as wild as Bangkok, Pattaya or Phuket.
But this northern city still has something to offer when the sun sets and the night falls. The bars are open as early as 6 pm where you can play billiards and have a casual drink while flirting with the girls.
This gets progressively wilder as the night goes on as you go into the more livelier Go Go bars and perhaps end up the night at the nightclub.
Whatever the places you visit, fun is always guaranteed in Chiang Mai!
All the night spots are closed to each other and not require to take transportation.
To save you time and hustle, consider booking a room in the city center where most of the restaurants, bars, nightclubs and sex venues are located.
Best Girlie Bars In Chiang Mai
Most of the girlie bars are located in four areas:
Girlie Bars in Loi Kroh Road;
Chiang Mai Entertainment Complex;
Girlie Bars in Old Town;
Girlie Bars Chiang Mai Old Bazaar.
Girlie Bars in Loi Kroh Road
This area is popular for single men in Chiang Mai because there are bars, clubs, massage parlors, restaurants and hotels.
Senior men patrol this road because the Thai girls working in this area mostly over 30 years old.
The best bars are
If you prefer younger girls, then visit…
Chiang Mai Entraitmente Complex
Located in Loi Kroh Road but an area of its own, a rectangular square with about 24 girly bars and more than 300 girls.
These bars have younger girls in their 20s but not as sexy as the one from the karaoke bars on Chang Klang Road in the southern part of town.
Girlie Bars in Old Town
There are bars and nightclubs in this area making it the best place to pick up freelancers.
Girlie Bars Chiang Mai Old Bazaar
It’s a structure with bars but very quiet, a bit sad if you ask me. There are 4-5 girls per bar who are bored by not having customers, most probably because they are ugly. If you’re an adventurous person, have a try.
The best girly bars in Chiang Mai are:
Foxy Lady
Considered as one of the best Go Go bars in Chiang Mai and much raved upon. Foxy Lady is home to some of Thailand’s hottest ladies, who actually like to perform!
With a modern setting and the unbelievable girls, this spot is a must.
Spotlight
A place not as modern as Foxy Lady, however it has a more chilled out atmosphere where you can experience the girls with minimal hassle. The girls are not as pushy and usually just lets you get on with it.
Best Chiang Mai Nightclubs To Meet Local Girls
The place for young travelers who enjoy partying, sexy Thai girls, and having a great night. Bohol has a small nightlife scene with a few nightclubs that are worth to visit.
Hitting the clubs is the last resort to get laid with a willing Chiang Mai girl. The club crowds vary from freelancer, HiSo girls to curious girls.
The ongoing rate for freelancers is 1.000 bath per night and for the curious girls hoping to become your girlfriend, a few rounds of fruit juices would do.
Having said that, the tricky part is to evaluate who is who.
For first-timers in Thailand, it might be hard to separate the working girls from the girls there only to have a good time while looking for a foreign boyfriend.
Usually, freelancers dress and makeup like bar girls: shirt skirt, tits in view and “get attention” make up.
Instead, curious girls wear jeans, a normal t-shirt, and little makeup. Rarely, I saw a good girl wearing any makeup.
HiSo girls are super easy to spot because they act like superstars, dress well and exaggeratedly expensive.
To help you decide where to go, I’ve select the best nightclubs in Chiang Mai:
After Bar
After Bar is a great place to start the night, by having the casual drink and mingle with locals and tourists alike.
It is fast becoming the best hang out spots in Chiang Mai having a much more chilled vibe than nightclubs. Some of Chiang Mai’s most beautiful girls hang out here.
Zoe in Yellow
Perhaps the most popular spots for young foreigners and hot local girls. The drinks are fairly cheap making it one of the best places to chill out.
There is a decent dance floor where you can dance away, or chill out in the outdoor bar. There are a lot of hot ladyboys amongst the gorgeous girls here so you can fill up your bag with both
Spicy
One of the few places that open until very late (or early!) is Spicy.
With the doors closing at 6 am, patrons crowd into this place when all the other clubs shut their doors. Just across the road from Zoe in Yellow, this is a natural progression through the night if you want to continue partying.
The place is packed with freelancers either girls and ladyboys.
Are you going to Asia because of GIRLS?
Yes, and what?

THINGS TO DO IN CHIANG MAI FOR ADULTS (WITH A LOCAL GIRL)
Mae Sa Waterfall – Enjoy walking through nature in the famous 8-tiered waterfall while being cooled down by the mist.
A wonderful view of nature made better if you are walking with a beautiful local girl side by side. It is around 40-minute drive from Chiang Mai and is the most visited falls in the area.
Royal Park Rajapruek – Take your girl through this beautiful park that features flowers and sculptures with an elegant commemorative chapel as the centerpiece.
Nice to have a quiet and romantic walk with your girl away from the city’s hustle and bustle.
Meet Girls Online – While relaxing in my hotel room, I seduce Thai girls on Thai Friendly. This is a good habit to pipeline girls on the go.
Wat Phra That Doi Kham – Experience the local culture by visiting this famous Buddhism temple, and you may even impress her! It is located on top of a forested mountain with a 17 meter Buddha statue.

SHOW REVIEW/LIVE PHOTOS: Bullet for My Valentine w/ Trivium, Toothgrinder
If you’re looking for a face-ripping, ear-throbbing night of metal goodness and debauchery featuring three of the hottest acts on the scene today, look no further than the current Bullet For My Valentine tour featuring Trivium and Toothgrinder. When it comes to metal, these three acts know how to bring the good stuff.
We had the chance to check out the Pittsburgh night of the tour on Monday, May 14, 2o18. And, it was clear, Pittsburgh had shown up for the party.
Toothgrinder, always a fan favorite, kicked off the night and brought an energy not normally seen in opening bands. Hailing from New Jersey, these guys absolutely killed it. Worth mentioning, aside from their incredible musicality, was the fact that vocalist Justin Matthews performed the entire set in a business suit.
If his inclination was to “dress for the job you want,” he looked better suited (no pun intended) for a board room than a metal show. And, really, it was AWESOME to see. He rocked that suit better than any one of those models in the Men’s Wearhouse catalog. Along with his vocals, the rest of the band provided the music to get the crowd moving and ready for the next act, Trivium.
In all honesty, Trivium was the band of the night. From the opening notes of “The Sin and the Sentence” to the closing of “In Waves,” it was clear that Trivium wasn’t really playing second fiddle to anybody. Matt Heafy is a man who knows how to get the crowd engaged, while simultaneously playing guitar and singing (and sticking out his tongue!). If you haven’t seen them live, you have to. The rockers from Florida completely owned the night. The crowd was eating up every single word and singing them right back to the band, and the pits were jammed the entire set.
Commanding the crowd to make endless circle pits, Heafy and friends gave everyone in attendance exactly what they came for: complete metal mayhem with a side of camaraderie that only comes from sharing space with fellow metal fans and completely losing your mind. It was, in essence, a fantastic showing from one of the most enigmatic and energetic bands on the scene.
And, I am compelled to mention the incredible drumming skills from Alex Bent. Every single time I have seen them, he blows me away, and May 14 was no exception. The rest of the band is beyond talented, obviously, but Bent’s skills just command attention. He’s a wonder to see live, and I think the band is better because he is the one manning the kit, so to speak. Absolutely undeniable, untouchable talent from one of the top drummers in the industry. He’s so fun to watch.
After a small reprieve, Bullet for My Valentine came out swinging. However, their energy was not nearly what was anticipated given the pulse of the driving forces who introduced them to the crowd. That’s not to say they weren’t good, they clearly were, but they almost seemed bored on the stage compared to the other two acts. It didn’t take long for the band to perk up and give the fans what they came for. And, the crowd absolutely lost their shit when those guys came out and kicked off their massive sixteen-song set (complete with a three-song encore!).
Clearly, the majority of the fans around me were there to support their band, BFMV, and there were many points I didn’t hear the band over the roars and screams of the crowd. I had to step away to answer a phone call, and when I came back, it was almost as if the crowd tripled while I was outside. Matthew Tuck had the entire venue eating out of his hands. Guys and gals alike were killin’ it in the pit, crowd surfing, and just generally taking in the moments with BFMV. It was obvious that the foursome fed off of the love from the crowd. What Tuck commanded, the crowd delivered. It was a beautiful sight to behold.
If this ticket is coming to your town, GO SEE IT. All the bands played new songs alongside older favorites. On more than one occasion, I found myself thinking, “I wonder if they will play…?” and sure enough, they did! My only personal complaint is that Trivium didn’t play long enough, but that’s because they were the act to see for me. It’s never long enough for me (is it ever, really?)! I don’t think anyone left Stage AE not sweaty and soaked in the metal marinade that the three acts combined brought to Pittsburgh. And that, friends, is the sign of a top night. A top night, indeed.
