"Oh?" That was unexpected. While Emil enjoyed poking and prodding at the high and mighty Shinigami, in preparations to maybe possibly fish any info how to get Hollow defeating powers for herself (being a living lure without a clear way of dealing with them could be annoying), she had NOT expected him to take any interest in her personal life.

Taking a deep breath, Emil decided to make him regret his life-choices.

"Isn't he wonderful? I don't know where you heard about it but I guess you've seen him! His hair is so long and well taken care of and so soft and fluffy! And he's big and warm and his hugs are the most comfortable thing in the world. And I have a cuddly Newfoundland Dog so you know that the competition is fierce over the first spot!" Emil waved her arms, playing up the enthusiasm and saying all of that a bit louder than appropriate.

"And can you believe this sneaky bastard!" She cupped her cheeks, acting as if this was embarrassing to admit out loud. It wasn't. "We started off as friends with benefits, but once it became clear he got feels for me, I wanted to break it all up, but he convinced me it would be fine if I never loved him back but then!" Emil stared up at Byakuya. "He must have bewitched me or something because after some time I realised I didn't want to be away from him!" She shook her head as if still in disbelief. "I want to watch him sleep next to me. I want to be there when he gets excited over his drums. Even his silly eating habits are just adorable to me now. He's a golden retriever boyfriend and I adore him."

She took in another deep breath, feeling gracious enough to give him a pause to change the topic.
