Picture perfect memories, to his standard, were scattered along his desk, each having their own little charm.

Bakugou slumped a bit on his chair, that morning sun grazing throughout his bedroom as he analyzed these long, but not forgotten memories, faintly hearing the laughter and happiness through those pictures. He smiled a bit while looking at them. Oh how it was so nice, to feel the little bit of happiness that God gave him.

With that feeling, another, unwanted but familiar feeling tumbled into his mind, beggining to pull at his heart. Guilt.

He picked up another picture.

It gave a warmth that no other picture could match, the soft glow of the dimming sun illuminated your figure, how you looked so elegant, so fragile, so perfect.

He remembered the day he took that picture. That was the last time he took a picture that had you n it. If he knew that was the last time, the last happy memory of you he has, then he wouldn't have dropped your glass heart. Along with his as well.

He looked at the clock, the red lights positioned to say '7:30 a.m.'. He sighed deeply, then looked back at the picture, your smile was so bright, so why did he dampen it?

His mind began to wander back to that day. The last day he would be able to call you his.

Muddled memories, filled with angst and rage, fueled the both of you, although yours was justified. It was the first time he finally heard your cries, your pleas for help, your signs, everything. You had finally gotten through the blur of his mind as you screamed at him, letting your bottled emotions out finally, letting this home know that everything is wrong. That it's gotten too quiet, too empty. Days after days of not coming home, untouched food that you had been filling with love, but has been diminishing by the hour. Seconds go by, as the side of the bed that you had called your safe space, now left cold and empty, only you were to warm the bed. Only you, the candle, seemed to burn throughout time.

And on that day, the candles fire blew out, hot, simmering tears streamed down on your face as you kneeled down on the floor, your heart, shattering as you face the reality that you and him may never have that happy ending you wanted. You deserved.

He remembered everything. The silence. The jagged breaths. You.

You held you throbbing head in your hands as Bakugou stood in the same spot, towering you. His mind, on the other hand, was static, slowly cracking into the dark reality of everything. What he has done.

He looked down at you, didn't know what to do, and regretfully spoke in such a robotic tone, unknowingly cutting the last thread of patience that you had for him.

"I'm so sorry, please forgive me... I never meant to make you cry..." He said, quietly.

It was partally true, he really didn't mean to make you cry. He didn't.

"You liar look at what you've done!!" You yelled out, giving him the look that has been haunting him for the past three years. Fat tears streamed down your face, throat horse, and your lips trembled.

The next sentance you said fully registered in his mind of how he destroyed the thing he meant to protect, to love.

"Tell me, what have I done to you, for you to hate me so much?"

He loved you.

So much.

His grip on the picture was tighter compared to before, his lips trembling a bit while soft, guilty tears, followed by a weep of regret came from his throat.

He loved you so much. So much that his heart hurts whenever he thought about you, when you held his hand in highschool for the first time, gave him his first kiss under the stars, told him time after time again with that angelic smile,

"I love you."

He was now holding his phone, thumb over the call button of your phone number. He always did this, but berated himself to the point of not trying. He was so scared that he'll do it all over again, or even you wouldn't want to try at all. So many thoughts, both positive but mostly negative swarmed around him.

He stared and stared, eyes now red and dry and overall, he was tired.

He looked over at the picture of his angel. He really loved you. And he would do anything for you, even back then. He was just too stubborn to try.

He took a deep breath and pressed the call button, half hoping that he would meet you'd voice mail.

"Hello? Bakugou?" You spoke, oh god your voice is still as graceful as before.

"Hey y/n, uh, long time no see, huh?" God he didn't realize how raspy his voice was.

But it never mattered to you, as your heart was thumping on the other line, feelings of excitement and butterflies filling your stomach.

How you missed his voice. How he changed.

You both laughed at that.

You continued talking for a bit, catching up a bit throughout these three years. It feels just like highschool, the two of you thought. The journey of your relationship, and how it ended.

The two of you have grown throughout these years, and it shows. You began to feel those same feelings from all those years ago, even then, they never really went away. Your love for him never went away, you realized. The way he spoke, so soft and tender, like those mornings when you were tangled in the warm sheets, basking in eachothers love.

You both knew, even through the phone, you knew.

"Hey, uh, I know this is weird to ask but... argh fuck... uh... do you wanna maybe, um, grab some coffee today?" He hesitantly asked, expecting a polite no.

Your mind then came to a conclusion, after rummaging through all of those memories, the good and bad, and the reason as to why you ended it.

"Sure. Why don't we meet at the little coffee shop we used to go to?" You responded, softly.

Compared to your expectations before, all those years before, you both smiled as you each held a little memory of eachother, retrospectively, glowing against the green of the grass and smiling at eachother.
