Law x pregnant readers
Waking up, (Name) only felt tired as if she hadn't slept in months. She just blamed it from the late nights of working and nothing else. Not even realizing when she woke up it was already in the afternoon and the Heart Pirates were currently eating in the galley.
With a loud groan (Name) took off her Pj's and walked into the shower, she gasped slightly when the water presser felt a little more sensitive on her chest than usual.
(Name) shrugged it off, thinking it was because she was still healing from the last battle she took part of, so she didn't think much about it. Propping herself next to her captain like she always does, she quietly ate her late lunch while trying to keep her eyes open. Law being the observant man he is, grew quite worried about his beloved wife acting so fatigue. "Are you alright?" Law asked, trying to act he wasn't concerned. She only nodded before face-planting into her food with a loud smack. No one panicked or thought it was something to worry about, guessing (Name) was just having a narcoleptic attack.
Later that day, (Name) was currently laying on her bed while reading a book. Feeling like she was about to throw up, she put down her book next to her and quickly opened the bathroom door. She then puke out all of her lunch and maybe last night dinner as well into the toilet. Wipeing her mouth, (Name) then headed toward the sink to splash some cold water on her face.
Feeling a familiar presence, (Name) then turned her head to where Law was currently standing with a worried expression on his face. "Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, I guess it's just a little food poisoning." (Name) said while scratching the back of her head.
"Alright but let me know when it gets worse."Law stated as he exited the bathroom.
(Name's) heart almost escaped from her chest when the submarine started shaking and yellow lights started flashing. Running onto the deck she could already see a battle taking place with men in white and blue uniforms on one side and men in colorful hats and white overalls on the other side. Unsheathing her twin katanas, (Name) then started cutting one marine after another but for some strange reason she already felt like she was out of energy. 20 minutes into the battle, with a large pant for air she finishes off the last of the marines before wobbling back to the submarine's doors.
"Damn why am I already out of breath, those marines were just small fries. My training methods haven't changed one bit, why do I feel so weak. "(Name) muttered to herself in annoyance.
(Name) only pushed her food around on the plate, hardly nibbling then she looked around the room. Everyone was so cheerful and she couldn't help but smile.
"Not eating much I see." Law commented, leaning over to whisper in her ear. Not like he needs to, over the usually loud noise that the Heart Pirates made at each meal.
"I'm just not hungry." She responded.
"Strange and I thought for someone who was out of breath just by fighting a few marines would be starving." Law stated in a matter-of-factly tone.
"Is it not to your liking, (Name)?" The head chef asked, catching sight of Law's actions.
"It's good. I'm just not hungry right now"(Name) said as she pushed back the plate.
"I'll put it in the fridge until you feel like eating again,"The chef said as he scooped up her plate of uneaten food.
"Do you need to lie down again?" Law asked her again for the third time today.
"I'm okay."
"Could I get some orange juice though?"(Name) sweetly asked the cook.
Then immediately , the crew got back to their usual antics paying no mind to (Name's) odd behavior.
She got to her feet while squeezing Law's shoulder gently. "I'm going to read a book." She said before taking a sip of the juice.
She was hoping that it was simply a case of stomach flu and not something alot more serious.
(Name) was once again in the bathroom and vomiting all of what she ate yesterday, which was not that much. (Name) felt terrible , as would anyone in these types of situations would, however, she still didn't want to bring the matter up. Luckily, Law hasn't woken up from his deep slumber , which made her sigh in relief. Slipping back into bed, she then let her eyelids close as she slept all the way through the afternoon again.
Then that cycle of having no appetite and vomiting lasted for this day as well, which made Law start to worry even more about his wife.
"(Name)!" She picked up her head by the ship's railing in surprise as she heard her name being called by Penguin. Her stomach hadn't seemed to settle, and now she is throwing up into the sea.
She then turned her head to the mechanic, trying her best not to look sick.
Penguin walked up to (Name) getting rather closer, causing (Name) to become nervous.
"You look pale." Penguin commented.
"I haven't been feeling well the last few days Penguin. So I'm probably a bit pale." (Name) stated .
"You're sick (Name)?" questioned Shachi. (Name) nodded her head, however quickly realized what she had brought up.
"I'm only slightly sick, just a little headache. Really."
"You sure (Name)?" Law asked as he walked up to the swordswoman, worried about her health.
She then gave a reassuring thumbs up to everyone to show that she was okay. Though internally, she was kicking herself for lying to the crew, even more so to her trusting and loving husband. The crew soon believed the lie as they continued with their day, however, Penguin, Shachi, and Law didn't seem to be convinced, so they kept an eye on her.
"Damn it, damn it, damn it." (Name) thought as she ran to the bathroom for the third time this week. She still was getting lucky with Law having once again already left their room or sleeping, but she knew that it was only a matter of time before they really began to be suspicious.
"This will pass. This will pass."(Name) kept telling herself furiously as she finished with her recent vomiting episode. She picked herself up, taking in deep breaths trying to settle her stomach. As she looked into the mirror, she noticed that she is even paler than yesterday.
Putting on a brave face, she then walked out of the bathroom and went onto the deck.
"Land ahoy!" Shachi shouted as he pointed at the piece of land.
All of the Heart Pirates gather around the railing in a disorderly long line, and lean over it, while watching the island they were about to dock. They had docked at a unique island well-known in the areas as vicious wild blood thirsty animals live there.
"Yahoo, a new adventure!" (Name) said happily before walking off the submarine's plank. As she got closer and closer onto the island, she felt someone grabbing her shoulder.
"I think it's for the best if you stay back in your current state."Law stated with a worried look on his face.
She only shrugged his hand off. "I'm fine, I feel a lot better today."
Before Law could protest, (Name) had already made her way onto the island.
And then she left, not running, but walking kinda in a slow pace into the forests.
After some time had passed, both Penguin and Shachi had returned after a troublesome adventure with some saber-tooth monkeys. Law was starting to get a little worry since (Name) wasn't back yet, so he went the same direction she walked in.
As Law walked deeper and deeper into the forest he finally made eye contact with the swordswoman. "Help!" (Name) called out as she was kneeling onto the tall grass while clenching her slightly bleeding shoulder.
Law was surprised, (Name) never called for help unless it's something really serious or life-threatening .
Activating his Room he switches places with (Name) while killing the beast in the process.
While Law was carrying (Name) through the forest, she leaned away from his chest so she wouldn't get vomit onto his clothes
-x-
"I'm going to take a blood sample." (Name) nodded as she rolled up her sleeve allowing Law to apply the alcohol onto her skin then inserting the needle. Only taking a tiny amount, Law removed the needle and quickly placed a band-aid on where he poke her. "You can leave, I will give you your results as soon as possible."
She only nodded before leaving the infirmary room.
Law stood there from where he was sitting in shock, not knowing how to feel after reviewing the results of her blood test. It was a mix of happiness, relief, fear and mostly parental love. It took all of his strength not to jump down like a crazy man who just won the lottery, because it was the middle of the night and he didn't want to wake up his crew. When he finally made it to the doors of his room, he put on a calm face and slowly and quietly opened the door. "Hi Captain, so did my blood test turn out good?" (Name) asked casually.
"Yep, it seems that both of you are fine." Law said with a big goofy smile on his usually calm and serious face. (Name) looked at her captain in surprise and in slight confusion, even already knowing the answer. "W-what do you mean the b-both of us?" (Name) managed to stutter out.
"I mean our baby. You're 9 weeks pregnant."
He was in love with (Name), and the idea of her having his baby was ideal to him, but it was still a shock, they'd never even spoken or brought up the subject. He wanted a family, but the idea still scares him. All the memories of his mother and father, and his little sister Lami all stuck to him. Then, the struggles and problems of them being famous pirates with both of them having large bounties on their heads. And all of the struggles that their child will face as well, everything he, (Name) and his unborn child, everything they will face together suddenly hit him in one go.
"Law I'm sorry, I should have been more careful." (Name) said while sobbing.
Law quickly, but carefully picks her up and sits her onto his lap while stroking the spot where their child was growing.
"Sorry for what? Making this the happiest day of my life." Law said before kissing her still flat stomach.
(Name) began to cry more but it wasn't tears of sadness, they were tears of joy. "We're going to be parents. I'm going to be a mom."
"And I'm going to be a dad. " Law said while showering her with even more kisses. (Name) squeaked when Law gently swooped her off her feet and began sprinting across the metal halls.
"What the... Law?!"
"Your shoulder, your shoulder was wounded. You're staying overnight, no, 3 nights in the infirmary. What if the baby got hurt. What if the baby got killed?"Law started listing off the things that could happen to their unborn child.
-x-
"Everyone, we have an announcement!" Law shouted loudly to get everyone's attention who was on the deck.
"We're getting a new crew member." (Name) said while trying to hold back her giggles.
"Oh, that's nice, when can we meet them?" Penguin asked.
"Less than 9 months." Law answered which made everyone go completely silent.
"We're having a baby!" Both (Name) and Law shouted cheerfully.
They were all staring at the expected couple, completely dumbfounded.
Astounded, flabbergasted, shock whichever word to describe their expressions and the tense atmosphere. Law's hand started to turn purple just by how hard (Name) was squeezing his hand.
"CONGRATULATIONS," Penguin and Shachi shouted in perfect unison.
"This is amazing, this calls for a party!" A Heart Pirate exclaimed.
"No alcohol for the pregnant woman though," Bepo smiled warmly at her from Law's side.
"(Name), don't cry, " Law said, reaching around her shoulders to comfort her.
"I know, it has to be the unbalanced hormones. I'm just so happy, this is a new chapter of my life." (Name) said as she cried into Law's chest.
Throughout the day everyone was partying while congratulating the new parents-to-be.
"So who will be the godparents?" Bepo asked.
"We have already decided that Ikkaku and you will be the godparents of our child."(Name) answered. Bepo then lifted both (Name) and Law off their feet and gave them a big hug while crying tears of joy. "Thank you, I'll be the best godfather ever." Bepo said, which made everyone in the Heart Pirates stare in jealousy, especially Penguin and Shachi.
"You guys will make great uncles." (Name)said with a big smile while hugging both of them in her arms.
"Lucky bear." Shachi muttered.
The 2 mechanics' faces turned a deep shade of red when (Name) kissed both of them on the cheek. "Don't worry, there is enough love to go around."
Then out of nowhere, a large explosion could be heard across the deck.
"Heart Pirates, Give up now or prepare to die."A marine holding a megaphone demanded.
(Name) smirked before unsheathing her twin katanas as she got into a fighting stance.
"Do your worst.''She retorted before Law used his devil fruit ability to transport her back into the sub.
Law shut the metal doors, ignoring the loud banging noises that were coming from the other side.
"Law, you ass, I want to fight too. Let me out, let me out." (Name) demanded as she kept on banging her fist onto the metal door.
"No, as your captain and doctor I order you to stay back and let us handle this. You're pregnant, you need to take it easy for now on."Law stated, which made (Name) slump down in disappointment. She hated being useless, she wanted to fight, she wanted to help, she wanted to do something besides laying down and doing nothing.
"Oh great, 7 more months of being totally useless." (Name) muttered under her breath while sighing.
A few weeks later-
(Name) felt like she was already going crazy. She wasn't allowed to do anything and she meant she couldn't do anything. First, the large weights she and Jean Bart can usually lift with ease have been replaced with 5 pound weights and she wasn't even allowed to use them for more than 5 minutes. Law had also forbidden( name) in certain places in the submarine as well, which was almost one half of the metal vessel that was off limits for her.
(Name) also swears, Law has super hearing because when she decides to get out of her bed, Law uses his devil fruit abilities to teleport himself right next to his wife's side.
"Law, go back to work. I'm just getting a snack."(Name) protested.
"Then ask me or someone else from the crew to get it for you. You're still in your first trimester of pregnancy, there is still a possible chance of miscarriages or physical deformities or all sources of possible medical stated as he called forth his room again then instantly a jar of peanuts appeared in his hand.
"Here, take these and go back to our room." Was all Law said as he pointed the direction of where their room was located, as if she was completely clueless of where she had been living for most of her life.
Rolling eyes (Name) went back to her room while munching down on the jar of peanuts on the way.
-x-
When the Heart Pirates docked onto an island, (Name) thought she could get some alone time to herself while getting the necessary items for the future stages of her pregnancy. And it was a good thing too since her pants and shirt had been feeling tight lately. "Bye Captain, I'm going to do a little shopping." (Name) said before she jumped off the submarine's front deck.
"Room, Shambles." Law now had (Name) in his arms.
"What the hell Law?" (Name) questioned.
"I'm coming with you, " Law stated as he tightly held her hand.
"Law, I'll be just fine. It's just a little shopping, I'm barely showing." (Name) retorted while trying to slip her hand from Law's strong grip.
"Nope, as long as you're carrying my child you're stuck with me." Law said, securitly wrapping around his arm onto her waist.
After 5 medical and clothes stores later, Law's arms were both covered in shopping bags while (Name) just carried a single bag with a small bottle of medicine inside of it.
"Law, let me carry that for you. You know I can lift 1000 times my own body weight." (Name) Stated with an annoyed frown.
"I got this, I don't want you to lift even one eight of your body weight. Your-" (Name) then cut off Law before he could finish the rest of this statement. "Yeah, Yeah, I know I'm pregnant and pregnant women shouldn't be exerting themselves."
Smirking devilishly, (Name) came up with a small plan to get away from her overbearing husband.
"Hey honey, I really need to use the bathroom."(Name) said as she pretended her bladder was about to burst.
"Very well."He responded, then they headed to the closest bathroom.
Reaching down in her left sock, (Name) grabbed a screwdriver and began unscrewing the bathroom's top window.
When (Name) was finally outside of the building, she began to grin like she has been in prison for 20 years and just now escaped. She was free, she could do whatever she wanted without worrying about Law dragging her back to their room and making her stay there until the next day.
In a swift motion, (Name) unsheathed her twin katanas and blocked an attack from a familiar mask man.
"Yo... it's been a while, when was the last time we fought together."(Name)greeted, enjoying the weight and feel of her swords when fighting. "Too long and this time I will become victorious." Killer responded.
Killer and (name) have been rivals ever since their crew had first met. The 2 of them will always break into fights everytime when they see one another. But so far they're about even, most of the time their fights usually ended up in draws.
The fight soon stopped when Killer stepped away and put back his scythe blades into its case. "Hey what gives, why are you chickening out now! The fight was just about to get better." (Name) shouted.
"I'm not fighting a pregnant woman, I want to kick your ass at your best."Killer stated while pointing to her slightly rounded stomach. "Damn, I knew I should have put on more baggy clothing."(Name) thought to herself as she tried to cover her baby bump.
"You're a pirate, why should you even care? Pirates do whatever they want."(Name) exclaimed while pouting slightly.
"I may be a pirate but I'm still a man who doesn't like fighting weak women." Was all he said before walking away.
"I'm not weak...fight me, please! Law won't even let me hold a fork. Please, I'm only on my 16 week."(Name)whined as she tugged onto Killer's shirt.
"No, and you look alot more further along than that."Killer retorted which made (Name) gasp loudly of being called fat.
Before Killer had any time to dodge, (Name) kicked him square in the balls which made him groan in pain.
"Meanie!" (Name) spat out before taking off into the forest nearby with small tears running down her face.
"Ouch!"He groaned loudly, laying on the ground while holding his sore nuts.
-x-
Law was pissed. But mostly Law was extremely worried. He couldn't find his wife anywhere, but what really worries him is that the Kid Pirate's ship has been spotted as well.
What if the Kid Pirates took advantage of his wife's current state or even worse killed her on the spot.
No matter how much observation Haki Law uses, he didn't have any lead on where his wife is.
"Captain, we know where she is." Penguin reported.
"Yeah, Killer from the Kid Pirates told us she kicked him in the nuts and went into the forest,"Shachi added.
"And why did she kick him in the nuts, (Name) doesn't usually use low blows?"Law stated with a raised eyebrow.
"Well,"Penguin started off while scratching the back of his head.
"He kinda called her fat." Shachi answered.
In a blink of an eye, Law called forth his room and teleported himself into the forest. Without even trying, Law hears small whimpers coming from the top of a tree so he looks up and sees the person he was looking for all day.
"(Name!)Law called out his wife's name.
"Go away!" She screamed then resumed crying again.
"No, I know I've been a little too clingy lately, but it's only because I want the best for you and our future kid as well. And to be fair, I don't really blame you for running away from me, so that is why I promise you I will try my best to give you your space."Law promised as he kneeled down.
(Name) stopped crying and looked at her husband.
"Okay, I'm coming down now."(Name) responded as she started climbing down onto one branch after another.
She gasps when one branch snaps from her weight and she begins to fall, face first into a painfull fall, and Law swears his heart stops for 5 seconds as his throat hitchs.
"Room, shambles!"
When his wife's stomach was only inches away from hitting the hard ground, she instantly appeared in Law's arms.
"Law, I'm sorr-"(Name) whispered her husband's name.
"That was way too close." He then looked and touched her baby bump gently.
"You're never ever leaving my sight until that baby is out of you. That's an order." Was all he said as he started walking back to the sub with his wife in his arms.
-x-
(Name) found herself laying flat on her back in the medical bay as Law prepared the new ultrasound equipment.
"Damn, that's cold." She hissed when the clear gel made contact with her stomach.
"Sorry," he apologised half-heartedly.
"Usually I would just use my scanning ability, but I think it would be a lot more useful to check in like this."Law stated then he turned on the monitor. He moved the device around her stomach slowly with his eyes on the screen, instantly stopped when he saw a gray blob in the middle.
"There's our child."He pointed to the blob.
As (Name) looked closer at the screen, she cock an eyebrow when another blob had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "Honey, why are there 2 of them?"(Name) stated while pointing where the 2 blobs were located.
"You're just seeing things, there is no-"Law stopped himself when indeed there were more than 1 blob. "We're having twins."Law whispered so softly that (Name) had to ask him to repeat himself.
"We're having twins. Yes,! Now you don't have to get pregnant again."Law said again as his wife just stood there in shock, not knowing how to process the new information.
"Wait, you're not satisfied with one kid." (Name) yelled at her husband in which he only nodded.
"Great. I already get smothered enough with one baby, I'm sure it's gonna get worse."
"It's now double," his lips formed into a smirk. "For now you're going to have daily instead of weekly check ups. And you're no longer allowed to practice swordsmanship with real swords anymore."
"Excuse me? No way, I've been holding swords since I was only 5 years old, you can't do that." She sat up sharply.
"You lost all of your rights when you started carrying precious cargo. Now you must be twice careful with our little ones." He brushed his fingers against her stomach before kissing it gently.
The more (Name-s) belly got bigger and bigger, the more cautious everyone, especially Law became. In only her 30 weeks of pregnancy, (Name) already looks like she could give birth any day now.
The Heart Pirates were currently docked on a winter island while (Name) only watched from a sideline.
"But Law, I want to play in the snow like everyone else. Please, I've been cooped up in this submarine for far too long."(Name) begged while giving Law the puppy eye look.
"Fine, but you need to bundle up."Law exclaimed.
6 layers of thick clothing later, (Name) walked off the Polar tang's deck with Law right next to her side.
Working on her snow fort for about 30 minutes, (Name) started to feel a sneeze coming along and tried her best to hold it in.
"Achoo!" She then covered her mouth, in hopes Law didn't hear it.
She sighs and doesn't even put up a fight when Law's room incases her, and teleports her into his arms.
"You're going back to the sub, I knew it was a bad idea to let you play in the snow."Law stated flatly.
And once again (Name) was laying flat on her back as she watched Law move the ultrasound equipment around her stomach for the fourth time this week.
"Is this really necessary?"(Name) questioned while pouting.
"Yes, unless you don't want our babies to be healthy. You're now forbidden to leave our bed until your cold has subsided. If you break any of those rules then I will bind you to the bed until your pregnancy has ended. Do I make myself clear?" Law questioned which only made (name) stick out her tongue.
"You 2 need to get out of mommy soon because I can't take another minute with your daddy."(Name) talk and rub to her rounded stomach when Law left the room.
-x-
2 weeks later and (Name) Was finally on her last trimester of pregnancy. "Law!" (Name) shouted his name loudly.
"Yes my darling, is there something you need." Law responded as he headed toward where his wife was currently sitting down.
"The babies are kicking, they're kicking again."(Name) said excitedly then grab's Law's hand to guide him where the kicking was happening.
Then the day when his children would be born.
(Name) woke up in the middle of the night when she felt a warm wet substance in between her legs and soon realized her water just broke.
"Law...Law." She shakes her husband awake.
"Yeah, what is it?" He muttered as he tried to rub away the sleep from his eyes.
"My water just broke."She then yelled in agony after she felt a contraction.
"Shit?!" Law then quickly moves to her side to help her into the wheelchair he had laying by for this day. "Bepo, round up the medical squad, it's time." Law shouted through a den den mushi.
"Whatt, I thought she wasn't due for at least another couple weeks." Bepo shouted.
"Well, the kids have decided to come now!" Law stated.
12 hours of shouting and a lot of pushing later, the first one came out.
"She's a beautiful girl!" Law said before handing the bundle of joy to Bepo.
"Come on just one more push." Law said then he could see the head of the baby.
"It's a handsome boy," Law said before handing the other baby to Penguin's arms.
"Law, what should we name them?"(Name) asked as she panted for air.
"Rosey for our baby girl and Corazon for our baby boy." Law answered, then placed a sweet and tender kiss on his wife's forehead.
"You need rest now, I will take care of them in the meantime."

Monday, 20 September, 10:01am
“I sit through that class every morning, and I don’t think there’s a single thing I remember about it.” Yoongi runs his fingers through his hair as he exits the Charms classroom, free hand attached to Y/n’s hip. They hover in the doorway, waiting for Jin and Tae to join them, and then the four of them are headed down the corridor to their next class. Yoongi can feel his roommate’s eyes on him and Y/n, and when he glances over his shoulder, he finds that both Jin and Tae are looking with intrigue at the arm he’s got wrapped around Y/n.
“What?” They look up, Y/n glancing back to see what’s happening. Jin clears his throat, shaking his head, and Tae just smiles, a toothy grin that’s more than a little sheepish.
“It’s just… a bit weird, still -- seeing you two together. We’re getting used to it.” Jin nods before pointing between the two of them, eyes guarded.
“As long as I don’t have to accidentally walk in on you two getting freaky in the room, I don’t care what you do. But…” He trails off, glancing down at Yoongi’s arm again, an amused smirk dancing on his lips. “Yeah. Getting used to it.”
“You look good, though! You guys are a good match.” Tae gestures with both hands, the paperback book in his hold flapping obnoxiously as he tries to make sure he and Jin aren’t being misunderstood. “It’s cute -- we all like it. You know, except Jungkook.” Yoongi snorts, shaking his head.
“I really couldn’t care less what he thinks about it.” A lie, of course -- otherwise Yoongi wouldn’t be doing this at all. He wants to make Jeon Jungkook pay, just as Y/n does, but their friends don’t need to know that.
They reach an intersection then, Tae and Jin branching off to the right. They glance back when Yoongi doesn’t follow, and he points simply down the corridor on their left.
“I’m gonna walk Y/n to her next class -- see you guys at lunch?” Y/n looks at him, surprised he’s not heading to his own class. She waits until their friends are waving goodbye before she’s saying anything.
“You’re gonna be late…” Yoongi shrugs, guiding her down the left-hand corridor toward her Transfiguration classroom, his arm tight around her waist.
“So, I’ll run.” Y/n rolls her eyes with a scoff, but lets him walk her to class, anyway. She pretends she can’t see everyone in the corridor looking at them, just as they had been all morning. After all, once news had broken that Min Yoongi was no longer available, people couldn’t help but be curious. But Yoongi hasn’t said a thing about it, so she won’t either -- even if it is a little nerve-wracking.
When they get to her class, the very last one at the end of the corridor, Y/n turns to him, eyes suspicious.
“You better not use this as an excuse to skip your own class and go back to bed. You still have enough time to make it there.” Yoongi grins, shaking his head.
“You know me too well.” With a smile, she steps in and presses her lips to his in a quick peck. She would have tried to stay longer, but she can still feel everyone looking at them, and she’d panicked just a little bit. That’s a lot of eyes on them at once, and she figures a chaste kiss is acceptable enough that she can run into the safety of her classroom afterward without seeming like she’s avoiding his affection.
But as she’s turning to leave, a soft ‘see you later’ leaving her, she feels a hand on her elbow, pulling her back. Yoongi’s giving her a knowing look, tugging her close to him with an amused smile. When she’s close enough, he’s mumbling to her, fully aware of what’s been bothering her.
“You can do better than that.” Nervously, she’s glancing over his shoulder, but he’s tutting quietly, drawing her back. “Don’t look at them -- look at me.” She looks at him for just a moment, trying to build the courage to kiss him properly. It comes to her, and she’s stepping right up to him, hand on the side of his neck when she leans in.
Yoongi’s grip on her waist tightens when her lips find his, and he’s pressing forward right away, making sure to keep her focus on him. His free hand comes up and his fingers are threading through her hair, holding her still while he angles his head, molding his lips to hers more comfortably.
She pulls away first, ears tinting red almost immediately because she can tell everyone had seen that -- that they’re already whispering about them. But Yoongi makes it deceptively difficult for her to get carried away by the attention, tilting his head to block her view of the corridor with a playful smile.
“Good girl.” He’d meant it innocently -- she knows he’d meant it innocently. He’d only been praising her for not letting the embarrassment get to her, for doing it right that time. But he doesn’t know how those words affect her -- or… rather, he didn’t.
Because he catches it. He’s close enough, and his eyes are on her. There’s no way he’d miss the way her eyes had widened, even though she’s quick to mask it, or the purse of her lips -- the catch of her breath, almost imperceptible.
And then he’s narrowing his eyes at her, gaze flitting around her face, trying to pinpoint what had just happened. He puts it together easily, the side of his mouth tilting up as he gives her a knowing look. He wants her to say it, so he’s certain -- so this is something that can be shared between them, not something she’s too embarrassed to tell him.
“What was that?” Y/n blinks, shaking her head as she takes a step back, putting distance between them. He only steps forward to close the gap again. “No… something definitely just happened to you.” She shakes her head again, pointing over her shoulder into her class.
“Nope. That was nothing--I mean. Nothing happened, there was nothing.” She backs away further, jumping when she bumps into the corner of the wall. Yoongi only tilts his head with a squint, a full smirk on his features now.
“You know I’m not gonna let this go, right?”
“Go to class, Yoongi!” And then she’s gone, all but running into her classroom in a panic. Yoongi snickers, shaking his head as he turns and heads down the corridor, pocketing that interesting bit of information for later.
--
Monday, 20 September, 4:15pm
Y/n’s in the library, eyes scanning the shelf in front of her as she searches for the book title Hoseok had sent her. It’s something that has a chapter on the Wiggentree, which is what they’d chosen their project topic as for Herbology.
I’m definitely in the right aisle… Maybe I’m just missing it?
She moves to return to her starting place in the otherwise empty aisle, convinced she’ll find it if she just looks again. But she doesn’t make it far, a hand coming down on the shelf and blocking her. She’d been too focused on scanning the books to even notice that he’d arrived. But she certainly notices him now.
“So -- you like ‘good girl’?” Turning as the words are whispered into her ear, Y/n all but stumbles backward into the bookshelf, eyes wide as she finds Yoongi peering back at her. He’s squinting at her, just as he had this morning, as he searches her face for a reaction. Blinking rapidly, she glances down the aisle, worried someone might find them like this.
“Yoongi, what -- you can’t just sneak up on me like that!” Her voice is hushed, because she’s aware this is a library and even more aware that it’s full to the brim, having seen almost every seat taken when she’d walked through the room. The chances of them not getting caught are slim to none.
But Yoongi doesn’t seem to mind, only stepping in and further blocking her way out. She scoots back as much as possible, but there’s only so far she can go with her back pressed against a wall of books.
“No one forced you to tell me that you were here.” Y/n sighs, because she should have seen this coming. He’d been totally fine all day, holding her hand at lunch and walking her to class after, never saying a word about what had happened this morning. Even during their free period, they’d just taken a nap in his bed -- everything had been normal.
So when he’d texted her asking where she was, she hadn’t thought twice to tell him about the book she’s been looking for. She should have known he’d bring it up again -- he’d even said he would. But she hadn’t expected it to be here, in such a public place.
Maybe I should have. This is Yoongi.
When she doesn’t say anything, Yoongi leans in, setting his lips against the shell of her ear.
“What else do you like to be called, hm?” Flushing red, Y/n plants her hand on his chest, intending to push him away. But he’s already pulling back, just enough that their noses are brushing while he looks into her eyes. She hates that he’s smirking, because he knows she’s flustered.
“You know you should just tell me -- I’ll figure it out for myself eventually.” He’s fully aware she won’t say a word, already seeing that her jaw is clenching, mouth set in a hard line.
“I’m not telling you shit.” He raises an eyebrow, thoroughly amused by her disgruntled expression.
“No? That’s okay. I’ll just get it out of you later, pretty girl.” Y/n blinks rapidly when her heart jumps and grimaces, because he’s testing her right here in the middle of this library. And she knows when he smiles that she’s failed.
“Got you.” Y/n rolls her eyes, cheeks warm from how embarrassed she feels, and moves to push past him so she can leave -- she’ll just find the book later. But Yoongi’s in her way, a playful smile on his face. “You still haven’t told me if you like ‘good girl’.” She shoots him a wild look.
“You know the answer to that.” And then she’s looking away, because his eyes are lighting up and she’s not sure how she’s supposed to feel about that -- mostly, she’s not sure why it doesn’t bother her that he’s excited about this. “Can I go?” He smiles, humming in faux contemplation.
“Nope. I wanna hear it from your mouth.” She turns to him, exasperated, because he’s being obnoxious and he knows it. But he doesn’t let up, only pressing forward until she’s backed against the shelf again. “Come on… it’s just a couple words -- say them and I’ll let you go back to your project.”
When she only glares at him, he hums again, a dangerous glint in his eye.
“Okay, then.” And then he’s leaning forward, slotting his lips against hers roughly, muffling the noise of surprise that leaves her. She pushes him back just enough that their lips part, eyeing him with shock.
“What are you doing? We’re alone--”
“Are we?” She blinks, knowing what he means -- that there are eyes everywhere, that what they’re doing is okay because they are in public, even if the aisle’s empty. Because this is exactly what it's like to date Min Yoongi, so it's okay. Everything they're doing and saying right now -- this is how it's supposed to look to anyone that comes across them.
He looks her over, checking that she’s alright -- that she’s not upset.
“… Can I go back to being the sexy boyfriend that corners you in the library to convince you with my mouth to tell me what I want to hear? Or do you want to stop? Because I’ll stop.” Y/n snorts, shaking her head. He’s careful as always, but if she’s honest -- she doesn’t really mind this all that much. She’d agreed to it, after all. So instead of telling him that this is fine -- that they’re fine -- she continues the previous conversation.
“You’re not gonna convince me to say it, no matter what you do.” He looks at her sideways, smirking, and she immediately regrets having worded it like that because she can already see Yoongi’s competitive side making an appearance.
“Is that a challenge?” When she only rolls her eyes, he leans in, stopping just shy of her mouth and waiting, just in case she doesn’t want to do this. She doesn’t move, gaze only flicking down quickly to his lips and back again. He tries his best to mask the smile that threatens to form on his face, but even as he closes the gap, it’s there.
He kisses her once, then leans back to talk to her.
“Say it.” She smiles, eyes full of mischief.
“Say what?” He kisses her again.
“Say it.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Again.
“I could do this all day, Y/n.”
“No, you can’t. You hate missing dinner -- you like the dessert too much.” He sighs impatiently, setting his hands on her hips and pulling her in. The kiss he lays on her lips is different than the last few, this one made to leave her breathless. She hates that it does.
Without pulling away, he gauges her reaction, noticing immediately that she’s grabbing at the front of his uniform, almost as if to ground herself after something so unexpected. He doesn’t give her time to recover, pulling at her bottom lip with his teeth. When she inhales sharply, he pushes his tongue past her lips, licking into her mouth -- she whines, the sound immediately cutting off because she’s realizing that they’re still in the library.
Yoongi only smirks, finding it cute that she’s so aware of her surroundings. But he wants her completely out of it, thinking either about him or nothing at all. So he brings one hand up to the back of her head, where he’s taking a fistful of her hair and tugging harshly, forcing her mouth away from his as her head gets angled to the side. That whine comes again, but she’s definitely already more dazed than before, because she doesn’t stop it from happening. Her head is spinning too fast, the feeling turning to pure white noise when Yoongi attaches his mouth to a spot under her ear, his lips searing hot against her skin.
“Yoongi…” She breathes out his name, clinging to him like she’s going to fall over if she doesn’t. Yoongi tells himself that that’s why he presses himself flush to her, sliding his free hand down to her ass and pushing her hips forward into his -- because he wants to help steady her. It has nothing to do with hearing her call for him like that. Nothing at all to do with the reaction it draws out of her when he does, that breathy moan he’d secretly been looking for. Pulling his lips from her neck, he drags them up to her ear, not even noticing how hard he’s breathing.
“Now do you wanna tell me?” She doesn’t respond, whining incoherently. Yoongi sees out of the corner his eye that someone’s turning into the aisle. When they stop short and immediately turn to leave, he’s smiling, because they’d just gotten caught and Y/n has no idea. She’s too busy trying to catch her breath -- trying to come to her senses. Yoongi’s having none of it.
Using the hold he has on her hair, he brings her toward him, smushing his lips to hers -- it’s not as rough as she’d been expecting, but it takes her breath away all the same. Just like the first one. She whimpers against his lips, and it warms him -- the idea that even this is enough to make her feel good. He wonders if she actually prefers when he’s soft with her -- he’ll have to explore that more later.
Pulling his lips away from her, he watches her. The way she doesn’t open her eyes right away or even notice that he’s waiting for her. She just leans her head back against the hand in her hair, and Yoongi steadies her, smiling at how dazed she is. He shakes that hand gently, jostling her, and that’s when she’s opening her eyes, realizing he hasn’t done anything in a few seconds. They make eye contact, Y/n trying to blink her way out of the fog in her head.
“Don’t you want this to end already? Wouldn’t you rather go back to finding your book before we have to go to dinner?” She nods automatically, even though there’s a small part of her that hesitates first -- it must be because she’s too out of it to process his questions right away. When she doesn’t meet Yoongi’s eyes for a few seconds, he’s pulling at her hair again, drawing her attention. And when her gaze finally lifts to his--
“Then be a good girl and tell me you like it.” Yoongi watches as she reacts -- as she breaks. As her lips part in a small gasp, her eyelids fluttering as she looks at him. As the hold she has on the front of his shirt tightens, her knuckles almost white. It’s the first time he’s ever seen this side of her -- the first time he’s ever seen her give in like this. He almost feels bad for how proud he is that she’s like this because of him.
But then she’s saying it -- what he’s wanted to hear from her all day. She doesn’t say all of it, but she doesn’t need to. Just those three words are enough to make him smile, because submission looks shockingly good on a stubborn lion like her. His Y/n.
“I like it.”

Mafia couple got7 reaction
(you ask and I deliver! I got a little carried away hehe, come back soon xx)
Jaebeom
You are in command of another mafia group in the South of Seoul while Jaebeom is the leader of the West side, so you were surprised when he offered an alliance between your families in the form of marriage. You were hesitant in the beginning but after a few meetings and deep talks he convinced you and it led to what was happening right now.
"Turn around." Jaebeom ordered and you did as told turning to look at the the full body mirror in front of you, curious about the jewel box he had in his hands. Soon you felt a necklace touching your collarbones and turn to face him again.
"Already spoiling your future wife?" You asked in a half playful tone and he shook his head once.
"I've lost people before, so when I care about someone I plant a tracking device on them." He cups your face in both of his hands to make you look at him.
"This is for me to be sure you're safe when we're not together." You get closer to him and touch his wide shoulders.
"How caring. However don't you forget I'm not a defenseless lady, okay?." You leave a kiss on his jaw catching him off guard and see his surprised face just before you dodge him to get out of the room.
"I still have things to solve today, call me later." He stay and watch the way your hips move as you leave.
Mark
"If he lays a hand on you, just cut him off." Mark tells you positioning a well sharpened knife on your thigh as an extra to the gun on your bag before sending you off to buy the cooperation of the new officer in town.
•••
"Miss Tuan, the lady I've heard so much about." You meet the officer on a restaurant during his lunch and give him a simple smile, sitting in the chair in front of him.
"I hope you heard good things only."
"Oh, I heard you're very persuasive."
"That's very true."
"So what can I help you with?"
"Tell me how much you need to stay away from the East side during your work time."
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Your price. Let's not play innocent here, Mr. Lin." He looks at you in surprise as you open your bag to take out an envelope with a few thousands, surely more than his salary.
"Listen, I don't do that stuff."
"Oh, really? I have 20 pages here that I'm sure you don't want your Superior to see." You show him the file full of information, some of them genuine and some were fake but all of them convincing enough to make him accept the deal.
"$20K and you let me keep that." He points at the file and you pass it to him together with the envelope.
"That's the right amount on the envelope. It was a pleasure talking to you." You get up and stop by his side.
"Just so you know to not try to turn tables, that's the file you have is a copy, I have the original. Have a good day." You leave, not waiting for him to say anything else.
Jackson
You accompanied Jackson in a trip to Shanghai to close a new deal in the town to support the negotiations on expanding the business from Seoul. The meeting is occurring on one of the most expensive rooms of KTV, and you get in helping other lady bringing drinks to the group of men.
"Are we using companion tonight?" One of the old guys say in a malicious tone, ogling your ass when you lean to place the tray of drinks on the table in front of them. Jackson's expression go dark as he hear the man talk and he extends a hand for you to grab and pull you to sit on his lap, gripping your waist tightly.
"Whatever you wish, just pick someone else."
"Oh, you already pick yours? Agile, are you?" The man laughs and accepts a card from the other girl in the room. An hour passed and the deal was finished the old man was wasted leaving with a expensive girl on his arm.
"If he touched you I would've killed him in a heartbeat." Jackson mumbles as the two of you walk out of the building and to his car.
"I would gladly help you with that."
Jinyoung
Jinyoung opens the door to enter his office and the first thing he sees is a female dead and covered in blood on the floor next to his lover looking back at him, cleaning her 38. Your eyes narrowed as you bend down to get the girl's phone.
"What happened here?"
"I caught this bitch installing a spy camera here." You point out the now broken camera on the table behind you.
"Shit, she was leaking information?"
"That's what I will find out through her phone, and then we will get those rats."
"You better start searching, I'll get someone else to clean this mess and tell the others about her."
Youngjae
Youngjae doesn't look very intimidating, he fools a lot of people with nice and smiley aura but makes up for it with cunning manipulation and is still dangerous nonetheless. He plays baits and you're the honey pot, attracting men and women to deathbed without them noticing.
You tie the wrists and legs of the passed out man tightly on the hard chair and wait for him to wake up, which he does a few minutes later.
"Took you long enough. Tell me, do you prefer to lose an arm or a leg first? Not that it will make difference, I will kill you either but, but which one do you think it will hurt less?"
Bambam
Today you could visit Bambam on prison but only get a phone call and see him through a glass with other people instead of having time alone. He's been locked in jail for a month after getting caught in a drug deal but he didn't say a word about his group.
"How was the weather these days?" He asked in a code that meant if you succeeded on the plan of revenge against the people that snitched him.
"The sky is clear, had a little bit of rain yesterday but it's fine now." You answer positively and show a little smile, touching the glass that separated you from him and he did the same.
"Thank you. I miss you so fucking much." He sighs and you nod.
"I miss you too, your trial was scheduled for next week, we're preparing everything."
"Finally, can't wait to get out of here."
Yugyeom
The pin on your earring slipped and fell on the floor near the bed while you put it on your ear, so you crouched down to look for the little piece, but instead of finding what you were looking for you ended up finding something very different.
YUGYEOM!" You scream from the bedroom for him to hear since he is currently in the bathroom finishing his morning routine and he came out running to see what happened, fearing you were in danger and got surprised to see you holding the spare gun he kept under the bed in case of need.
"Since when you have this under your bed??" You ask in complete confusion as to why your sweet boyfriend of a year possessed such a weapon. Now the moment he was dreading came and he couldn't get away from it.
"Sit down, Y/n." He comes closer and takes the fun off your grasp, entrelacing your fingers in his as he tells you the truth, that he works with security and driving to a gang. He admits to be terrified of the thought of you leaving him because of his kind of environment and it took you a long moment to comprehend the whole situation and after a long talk you decide to stay the same, not wanting to throw away the love you felt for him.

My Sun and Stars
Santiago ‘Pope’ Garcia x Reader w/ nickname
Chapter 1- Call Signs
Chapter 2
Summary:You go out on a Friday night with your buddies, and meet Santiago ‘Pope’ Garcia for the first time Rated M for Mature themes, but would prefer the fic stayed 18+ since it gets a little spicy later 👌
AN: Hello everyone! This is my very first fanfic I’m posting, and I hope it’s up to par 😅 I’ve been delaying posting it for so long but I’m so excited to finally get this posted and starting this journey.
TW! Alcohol, Slight Violence. Please let me know if I need to add anything else!
It was just another Friday at the bar after a dull day at work. Your friend Will invited you out for drinks with him and a couple of his buddies to celebrate a friend coming home.
“Where is this guy anyway, aren’t we supposed to be celebrating him?” You ask, frustrated by the fact the person they were celebrating was nearly an hour late.
“Pope’s always late, he runs on his own time. But he’ll be here.” Will took another sip of his beer before glancing toward the door.
“He better be, I can’t stay late. I have to go back home to Maria, I promised her I’d help with the baby after I got back tonight.” Retorted Frankie.
“Speak of the devil.”
Up walked a man with curly hair and sun kissed skin. He's undoubtedly handsome, smiling before he claps a hand on Frankie’s shoulder.
“What’s up cabróns? Sorry I’m late, there was traffic coming from the airport and then there was this girl out in the parking lot who had this ass that-“
“Ah-hem.” You clear your throat, hoping to cut off whatever vulgar story he was about to tell.
“Pope this is Hail. We met through the VA, thought I’d invite her out with us.”
“Hail? Cute, what’s that short for, Hailey?” He pours himself a mug of beer, barely looking your way.
“Hail Mary.”
“That’s a hell of a name. Parents were religious huh?”
Benny snickers and Frankie leans back, preparing for the shitshow to unfold.
“Call sign. Hail Mary, as in the prayer most people say before they’re about to die; A last ditch effort. For a man whose nickname is Pope, seems like you’d know better”
“Oh baby, people call me Pope because I bring them closer to god, whether it’s out in the field or in bed.” He side eyes Benny and they fist bump behind your head.
“Classy.” You roll your eyes and look over to Will who pinches the bridge of his nose and mouths 'sorry' over to you.
“Anyways- glad to have you back safe man, but I really gotta go. Wife’s gonna kill me if I don’t help with the baby like I promised.” Frankie fixes his hat and slaps Pope on the back before walking out.
“Yeah man me too, I’ve got my fight tomorrow and I already got too drunk waiting for you. You gotta come though!” Benny says as he wobbles standing up.
Will quickly stands after and steadies him propping him up on his shoulder. “I better drive Benny home, what about you Hail? You need a ride?”
“I’m alright, I’ll probably stay a little longer. I need to decompress from work.”
“Whatever works for you darlin, text me to let me know when you get home safe.” He says goodbye and shakes Pope’s hand before walking away with his brother.
“And yous better be coming to my match tomorrow!! I need my Hail Mary!!” Benny yelled with his head flopping back and forth.
“I’ll be there Benny.” You punch his ass and send them off, leaving you entirely alone with the menace of a man you’ve just met.
“So uh— you and the Miller brothers seem close.” Pope eyes you up and down, clearly trying to figure out what he’s missed while he was god knows where.
“Sure. Like Will said, we met through the VA. We’ve been pretty close since then.”
“I take it you’re a vet then, with your call sign and all?”
Was he actually trying to get to know you? “No, my dad served. 20 years in the Marine Corps, I just drive him to the meetings. He tried dragging me in one day to set me up with Will.”
“So you two are together then?” He looked up quizzically.
“Ha! If he’s interested he sure doesn’t show it. Plus I don’t think he’s really my type.”
“What is your type then?” Pope raises an eyebrow and a wide grin spreads across his face.
“Definitely not a man some of whose first words around me were ‘there was a girl who had this ass’”
“So you don’t like me because I appreciate the female form?”
“Ha! I don’t like you because you make assumptions. Like how you just assumed that you could get me to go home with you.”
“I’m offended you think so lowly of me Princesa, and how are you so sure I want to you to sleep with me?”
“Don’t call me Princesa, and because if you didn’t want to— you’d be off chasing that girl with the ass down. But you’re here, talking to me about if I’m taken and what my type is. Now if you excuse me, I’m going home.” You gulp down the rest of your beer before grabbing your purse and speed walking to the door.
Pope rushes through the crowds and grabs your arm before you raise it to hail a taxi. You break from his grasp and slam your palm into his chest before realizing it was him.
“Agh! So you’re not all bark after all.” He rubs his shoulder and winces. “Listen, I truly am sorry for this bad first impression. But I don’t think Will would be happy with me if I didn’t at least offer you a ride home in your inebriated state.”
You roll you eyes before you look in your purse and realize all your cash went toward tipping the bartender; You sigh and toss your head back in defeat. “Fine. But you’re not coming in for a nightcap.”
He leads you to his Jeep and you buckle yourself in as he pulls out of the bar parking. You punch your address into his GPS and lean your head against the cool window as the music plays softly. The alcohol hits you all at once like a tidal wave, and your head starts to spin.
You’re thankful the ride home is quiet, and even more so when the car comes to a stop. The car door opens letting the fresh night air hits your face waking you slightly.
“Can I at least walk you to your door?” Says Pope, but this time his tone is different. It’s not assertive or defensive, almost like he cares you get home safe. And he has this look on his face, what is that look? You’re too drunk to tell.
"That would be great, actually." He walks beside you, careful not to touch you unless you expressly needed help. You were doing better than expected, swaying slightly and bumping arms as you walked side by side. You were about to send Pope off, all up until you came to foot of the stairwell.
“Shit. You can go, really I’ll be fine. You’ll be here all night watching me climb these stupid things. Without an ounce of of dignity, I may add.”
He chuckled as you planted your palms on the stairs and began to crawl up them like an overgrown toddler.
“I have all night to help you up the stairs Hail, but I’ll have to touch you. If that’s ok?”
Why did those words send fire through your cheeks? ‘But I’ll have to touch you.’ You quietly nod your head in defeat and feel two strong arms lift you from under your knees and behind your back. You instinctively wrap your arms around his neck and press your head to his chest. The world is spinning and you’re doing anything to anchor yourself, even if it’s to him.
You turn your head and shut your eyes, taking deep even breaths into his chest doing everything in your power to calm yourself. ‘Focus’, you tell yourself. Focus on literally anything but the spinning. You take another deep breath, but this time you take a second to appreciate the scent of Pope’s cologne. It smells expensive, but sooo nice. You hear his heart beating, or—wait. Is it yours? Your mind continues to wander further as footsteps echo off the stairwell. His arms feel so nice, maybe you could invite him… No, you decide. You won’t just be another drunken conquest.
You reach the second floor of your apartment complex and tell him your door number. He steadily places you down, and keeps a steady hand on your back as you dig out your keys. You open the door and catch yourself on the frame turning yourself to face Pope.
“Thank you for taking me home, and for carrying me up the stairs. This is so embarrassing, I swear this never happens.”
“Shh, it’s alright Princesa. Drink some water and get some rest, I’ll see you tomorrow at Benny’s match. I’ll bring my best manners, and hopefully we can forget about today.” He gets you a glass of water and places it next to your couch where you ungracefully plopped yourself down.
“Mmhh. Pope?” You reach, as if trying to reach him without knowing where his is.
“Santiago. My real name is Santiago, but you can call me Santi if you want.”
Your brain is far gone, blacked out in a half asleep state with no filter attached to your mouth. “Well then Santiago, thank you again for bringing me home. Sorry it wasn’t in the context you wanted. Next time if you want it to go more smoothly, ask me to dinner. You smell too good to say no.”
He chuckles and looks at you with a soft expression before locking your door behind him as he makes his way back to his car. For the rest of the night, he replays the way you said his name in his head and makes a mental note to wear the same cologne again tomorrow night.

daybreak | sal fisher x fem!reader - 4. questions
Previous | Next
[warnings: cursing, smoking, death mention, sexual discussion, drug mention]
"every mile further, there's a part of me that slips away."
—
At lunch, you and Sal eventually locate the group's spot in the cafeteria. It felt almost like a walk of shame as the two of you approached and cautiously sat down at the table.
Todd, Ashley, and Larry all turn their heads toward you both. Normally, they'd most likely greet you as if nothing was wrong—which, to their knowledge, nothing was—but this time they were hesitant in saying anything. You could only guess they'd caught the wave as soon as you'd both sat down.
Larry looked calmer than he did in the car. You hoped Ashley and Todd talked him down.
"Alright, something's weird," Ashley's suspicious eyes flitted between you and Sal. "What happened?"
Sal looked you in the eye, before returning his gaze to Ash. "Nothing, we-"
You should have let Sal lie about it, but the fact he still wanted to be selfless and keep the peace made you angry on his behalf and was enough to make you cut in. "Something happened in class that pissed Travis off. In the hall, he fucking cuffed Sal in the face."
Larry jerks forward in his seat. You take advantage of his shock to keep speaking. "His shirt had blood all over it. That's why I gave him my sweater."
"What the fuck?" Ashley's eyes were wide, her entire expression forming into something furious. "We need to report him."
"No, we don't," Sal shakes his head. "It makes things worse. It wasn't even that bad. The blood was superficial. It didn't even take more than a minute for her-" he looks to you, clears his throat, and corrects himself. You guess he doesn't want any questions being asked about what happened in the girl's bathroom. "-for me to clean it up."
Todd swallows a bite of his sandwich and speaks up. "Sal may be right. It would make things worse. That doesn't mean it's justified, though—no matter what Travis is going through at home."
"You know what is justified?" Larry is seething in his spot. "Him getting his shit beat. When the day's over, I'm taking him behind the school and knocking the lights out of his fucking head."
Sal inhales beside you.
"Yeah—that's not going to do anything," you breathe. You feel the blue-haired boy shift beside you—like he'd turned his head your way. "I actually spoke to him on the first day of school."
Ashley's eyebrows fly up. "What? What did he say?"
"We were all in the hallway," you began to explain, slowly and steadily. "I'd seen him giving Sal weird looks earlier in class—and at that moment, he seemed off, too—just standing there at the far end of the hall."
You paused. "I don't know. I've seen it before. It was like he was gearing himself up to walk over and say something. So I took it upon myself to beat him to it. I went over, asked him what he was planning on doing—told him to pick his battles. He almost went over anyway, but I put my hand on him and told him how that wouldn't end well."
You swallowed and glanced around anxiously. "He looked at me, scoffed, and walked away."
Your hand raises to your neck. You absentmindedly drag your knuckles over your throat—a nervous habit. "I hope I didn't make things worse. If I'd known that maybe that was the reason he was pissed off today I wouldn't have done anything."
Sal hadn't looked away from you the entire time you'd been speaking. Carefully, he shifts in his seat to face you and starts: "No," he shakes his head. "He would have hit me anyway. What you said didn't make him do that. It's about what happened in class."
He glanced over the table before meeting your eyes again. "He's jealous. I think he wishes he had something like we- he wishes he had a friend. That's all. So don't blame yourself for Travis' actions like you caused them when all you were trying to do was defend me."
Tears form but you blink them away quickly. Something flashes behind Sal's eyes and he looks as if he's going to say something to console you but someone's speaking before he can. You look away first, settling your eyes on the table.
"What happened in class?" Ashley asks, slowly reaching for her bag of chips.
Sal's eyebrows twitch downward. "Nothing. I tried giving Y/N another answer and Mrs. Packerton gave us detention. That made Travis mad, for some reason."
Larry lets out a bittersweet laugh. "As funny as Mrs. Packerton giving you detention is-"
Sal rolls his eyes in your peripheral vision.
"-why would that make Travis mad? It's not like he's a goody-two-shoes. He barely gets by in school."
Sal shrugs. "Who knows. I really don't care what he thinks, anyway."
Larry is beside himself with frustration. You can tell it. He's tense and his jaw is hard. You know he's ready to get up and talk to the other side of the cafeteria and beat the fuck out of Travis but he knows he can't—because Sal doesn't want that.
"If I were you, I would have killed him already," Larry mutters. "Don't know how you do it, dude. I don't think you aren't capable of it."
The boy beside you falters. "I don't care about what he says to me. It's really about what he says to other people. When he started saying shit to Y/N—I, uh- I'll admit, I did sort of feel like hurting him."
Your heart skips a beat. Immediately after this happens, you feel like slapping yourself in the face for letting your hormones get the better of you.
You watch the rest of the table exchange glances you would've missed—had you blinked—before Ashley speaks. "Whatever. I just don't get why he lets his anger out on somebody who's done nothing to him."
After that, the conversation steadily drifts into something more lighthearted. Larry makes fun of you and Sal for getting detention for something you nearly got caught for the previous day. Todd recites facts about medieval times and Ashley for some reason thinks that it's hilarious and laughs.
You enjoy the rest of lunch, despite the earlier topic.
You've come to realize this school absolutely does not give a shit. You and Sal are accepted into detention without any further notice for your parents. As far as you know, the faculty hadn't contacted nor your mother or Sal's parents.
"Let me call my dad," Sal mumbles, as you both approach the door to detention. "When I'm not home in time he always thinks something bad's happened to me, haha."
He pulls his phone out of his back pocket and flips it open.
"I'd call my mom, but I don't think she'd care," you laugh. It isn't bitter, really—you just couldn't care less. "From how you turned out, I bet your mom is really cool."
Sal looks up from his phone. "Thank you. Uh, yeah. She was good to me."
You falter at the 'was' and ask a question even though you shouldn't have. "Are your parents separated, Sal?"
He falters, waves the phone in his hand a little. "My mother, ah- is dead, Y/N."
Dread plunges to the bottom of your gut like a heavy rock and weighs your insides down. You feel like the biggest idiot known to the world—and you feel even stupider now that you can't muster the words up to apologize to him.
Eventually, you collect yourself—only to spiral yourself downward into further shame.
"Sal, I am so sorry," you breathe. "I should have caught on sooner."
He seems almost surprised concerning your sincerity, eyebrows raising and his eyes widening. Sal quickly raises his hands and waves them, his demeanor appearing distraught. "No! No, don't feel bad. There's no way you could've known. I don't talk about family much."
You breathe in slowly. "I'm such a horrible person. Here I am, complaining about calling my mother, and.."
He blinks down at you sincerely, glances both ways down the hall, and returns his gaze to you, and speaks: "Do you want to just get out of here?"
Your head jerks upward. You swallow the saliva that had pooled in your mouth and fumble for a response. "What do you mean?"
Sal breathily laughs. "We'll get in a lot of trouble for this—but you only live once, right?" He shifts his weight and takes a step closer to you. "Let's just ditch the detention. Me and you."
Your heart jumps. "Don't you have really good grades? Sal, what if-"
"That doesn't matter," he blurts. You meet his eyes. The blue in them cast something familiar onto you—exhaustion. Numbness. The want to feel, the want to be exhilarated.
You don't know this boy very well—but you see something of yourself in him. A person who's kept between the lives most of their life, but they're just itching to break through that wall.
Sal is bored. He's sad. And he wants the thrill.
"Let's do it."
You and Sal both escape the school in a matter of a few minutes. Leaving involved a lot of unnecessary running and giggling and navigating through halls—but you make it out and breathe in the crisp, autumn air. It further dries your parched throat and rustles your hair.
"Wow," Sal breathes, beside you, as you both stand with feet firmly planted on the concrete. You're a few yards away from the school, enough distance between you and the building to where you can feel comfortable. "Never done anything like that before."
You laugh. "We ditched detention, Sal. We didn't run from the law."
"To my standards, we may as well have." He meets your eyes, the breeze blowing past his blue hair. "What do you want to do next?"
You take Sal to a playground. It takes a little while of absentminded walking and searching for something to appear, but eventually your eyes catch on that swing set and you can't resist.
"Come on!" You grin and run towards it.
He laughs behind you, and follows you a little less excitedly, taking his time with walking.
You sit side by side. You dig the toe of your shoe into the ground and push yourself into a steady rock, back and forth. The chains squeak which each movement of the swing.
"Hey, Sal?"
He looks over at you, his hair rustling with the autumn breeze. The more you look at it, the more jarring the contrast becomes—the blue against the backdrop of orange and red trees and the dull sky. "Yeah?"
"Wanna play 20 questions?"
Sal blinks toward you. He brings his hands up to grip the chains attached to his swing. "Sure."
"Okay. Just one rule-"
"Don't ask for your bra size?"
You laugh. "No. If you really want to know, it's-"
He waves a hand hurriedly. You notice the strain in his voice when he replies. "I was just kidding. What's the rule?"
"No boring questions. That's it."
Sal chuckles. "I'm a boring person, so I can't really promise that."
No, you're not, you thought.
"Prove me wrong. You go first."
"Favorite color?"
You chuckle, kicking dirt up from the ground as you push yourself into a steady rock, back and forth. "Wow. What a question. Uh... I don't know. There's a lot of great colors." You glance toward him, shivering as a gust of wind brushes your clothed shoulders. "Blue."
He inclines his head toward you. "It's your turn, now."
You pause. "I'll ask you the same thing. What's your favorite color?"
"Yellow. If you could choose a way to die, how would you? Old age or something peaceful doesn't count."
The abruptness of the shift in topic makes you laugh. "I'd like to be struck by lightning."
He peers at you curiously. "Why?"
"Does that count as one of your questions?"
Sal fingers at the chains of his swing. "Yeah, sure."
You shrug your shoulders, sucking your front teeth behind your lips. "I don't know, honestly. I'd like to know how it feels. It would probably just feel like fire, and it would fucking hurt—but wouldn't it be kind of cool? Have you seen a photo of someone after being struck by lightning?"
He giggles, lifts a foot and presses the bottom of his shoe against the other one. "Does that count as one of your questions?"
"Shut up. Have you?"
"No. What's it look like?"
You grin. "It's like.. tree roots. Or a branch with leaves on it—but it's a scar. You'd have to see it to understand."
Sal looks as though he's about to say something else—probably tease you for your strange fixation on lightning strike victims—but you beat him to the punch. "My turn. What's your favorite song?"
"Memories and Dreams, Sanity's Fall."
You raise your eyebrows. "Metal? Well, now that I think about it, you seem the type."
"Larry actually introduced me to it. I didn't really listen to anything before I met him. Alright, I'll ask you the same question. Favorite song?"
"Wonderwall, Oasis."
"That one's pretty recent," he hums, pauses, and thinks about it. "Yeah. That sounds like you. I like it."
You smile shyly. "It's not metal, sorry. Can we still be friends?"
Sal exhales through his nose amusedly. "No. You don't like the same music genre as me. Friendship over."
You laugh. "Well, I never said I didn't like metal. Anyway, my question is.. when's your birthday?"
"December 20th."
Your eyebrows raise. "Holy shit. You're nearly a Jesus baby."
Sal chuckles. "I'm far from being the second coming. It's 5 days off, anyway."
That makes him a Sagittarius. You're pretty familiar with the general traits of the zodiac signs—personality traits, physical traits, sexual tendencies—like a lot of teenagers nowadays.
Well, if he's true to the zodiac, he has a high sex drive.
Your face feels hot. You're a creep, your brain says.
A few questions pass by. He asks about your birthday, you ask him his favorite movie, etc. You're nearing the end of the game, and it's been a decent amount of time. It feels almost too soon when the sun begins to drift down in the sky.
"Alright, my turn," you say after you've answered the question Sal had just asked you.
"Shoot."
"Are you a virgin?"
A tense moment passes, and you seriously regret asking. All you can hear is your heart thrumming in your ears and your blood rushing towards it and through all of you.
He meets your eyes evenly. "Yeah. Obviously."
"I don't believe you," you reply, immediately.
His eyebrows raise. "Why not?"
You hope he can't hear your pulse. "Because. You answered that way too smoothly."
"That makes no sense. If I were lying, I wouldn't have been as cool about it."
You narrow your eyes. "That's not just it, though. Why hasn't someone fucked you?"
If the abruptness of your question shocked you, it certainly shocked him. Sal laughed loudly like he was in disbelief—swaying his head away from you. His knuckles grow white around the swing chains.
His head turns back and his eyes meet yours straight on. "What are you trying to say?"
"Oh my god," you slapped a hand over your mouth. "I sounded so ignorant just now. Sorry. I'm not shaming you—that would make me a hypocrite. I'm a virgin too."
Sal huffs out another laugh, breathily this time. "No, I didn't think you were being ignorant. That's not what I was asking you."
You pause. "Then.." You plant your feet on the ground and stop the sway the swing is in. The sun continues to drop further down in the sky, and it's golden light warms your face.
You look away from him, your heart beating against your ribs. "Hey, I have an idea."
When you turned your head Sal's way, his attention was already on you. "Yeah?"
"You said that you drive, right?"
"Yeah. Not legally. But I can drive. Why do you ask?"
You grin.
By the time you've arrived at the apartments, the sun has fully dropped out of the sky and the heavens were completely black—save for the full moon and the speckles of bright stars. This is one of the things you love about Nockfell—it's so far out. The lack of air pollution and chemicals below the clouds made the celestial bodies out there so much clearer.
"My dad's going to kill me," Sal muttered, as he forced his personal key into the door to his apartment.
"Hey, Sal, you know we don't have to-"
His head turns to you. "I never said that. I want to."
Sal pulls the key out and slowly turns the knob beneath his long fingers. Instead of easing the door at a steady pace, he holds on tighter to the knob and pushes it open quickly. For a moment, you almost scolded him for his recklessness—until you realized he'd done this so the door wouldn't whine on its hinges.
"Have you snuck in or out before?" You ask him, voice low as you watch him lean down to take his shoes off before he enters the apartment. "Why are you doing that?"
"These floorboards are shit. They creak under the carpet. Wait here."
He leaves his cornflower blue sneakers at the foot of the door and walks inside. You watch the back of his head as his figure disappears into the darkness of the room. Sure enough, he was right. His feet only emanate soft pats against the carpet and don't disturb the wood beneath—because he's only wearing socks. You hear the sound of keys before he returns to you.
"You didn't answer my question," you murmur with a teasing lilt, as he slides the door back into its place in the frame. He locks it back and turns to you.
"Not like this. I especially haven't stolen his car."
You laugh. "I hope I'm not becoming a bad influence on you. We've already ditched detention today.."
"Yeah, but that was my idea," he reminds you.
"I guess you're right. Do you think your dad will be mad at you?"
You loom over him as he forces his feet back into his sneakers. "Honestly? Probably. I've never done anything like that before. Getting detention is one thing, but leaving the school before actually attending it is something else entirely."
The both of you enter the elevator instead of going down the stairs. It's late, this complex is shit, and the stairwell wouldn't be lit.
Somehow, it hadn't crossed either of your minds that taking this elevator so late wouldn't be exactly wise either, but you'd stepped inside of the compartment anyways.
You stepped to Sal's left and watched him press the button for the first floor with his knuckle. As soon as he'd done that, and the elevator doors had slid closed, the singular light that illuminated the compartment flicked off and the both of you stood in abrupt darkness.
"Holy shit!" You exclaimed, jutting yourself into Sal's side and grasping the material of your sweater that he wore. "I'm sorry, but what the fuck? Did it just break?"
"No," he laughed, shifting his weight towards you. "It always does that in the night. I think it's to conserve power so the elevator doesn't break altogether."
You let go of him, embarrassment fluttering in your gut. You weren't sure whether to feel relief as you felt the elevator make it's descent downward. "I mean.. shouldn't there be a sign? I don't know.. that says something like.."
"'You aren't about to plummet to your death, the building's just really old?'" Sal finished your sentence for you and chuckled. "Yeah. If someone had a heart attack, they could sue. But the guy that runs this place is really old and doesn't really have family—so that would just be sad."
You're close enough to him to where you can feel him shrug. "There's an awful lot about this place that's rundown and weird and honestly sketchy, but Addison doesn't care. For instance, the college kids that live in 301? They spend all of their free time doing coke and heroin."
Your eyebrows raise into your hairline as you listen along.
"They're super nice people, and I don't mean to be rude at all, but god, you can smell the body rot inside of that apartment. It's really sad."
You look to him. "You've.. been inside of there," It wasn't a question—more of a statement.
"Yeah. I did coke with them once or twice."
You get whiplash, that's how fast your head whips toward him. "Sal," you breathe. "I don't mean to sound overbearing, but please don't do that. Ever again."
He huffs, but not of frustration. It's of resignation and understanding and shame. "I.. I'll admit it to you, Y/N, that shit is a lot more addictive than it's made out to be. I'm not going to tell you how I felt because I don't want to make it out to be enticing—but I can understand why they're addicts. I'd only done it a few times and it felt like any time I wasn't doing it I itched for it. Eventually, I got busier with school and other things—so after a while, I.. guess I sort of forgot."
You hear him turn his head to look at you. You barely make out his prosthetic face in the black. "I'll smoke cigarettes with you, Y/N, but I'll never introduce you to something like cocaine. By the way you reacted when I told you I'd done it, I hope you won't do it yourself."
You meet his eyes amidst the darkness. "You know, Sal," your gaze wanders to the elevator doors. The compartment shutters as it reaches its destination on the ground floor. Your fingers brush his with purpose. "I know of a lot better feelings that don't come from drugs."
Your heartbeat sounds like gushing blood in your ears. You feel his burning blue eyes on the back of your head.
At the same time as you're stepping out of the elevator, you've stepped into something else.

Part Nineteen || Part Twenty One || Masterpost (mobile) || Fanfic masterpost
Steve walked into the Avengers facility, heading towards the conference room where Bucky and Sam were supposed to be waiting. He was already on edge with how Y/N had reacted to the whole situation. He had expected her to be upset but she acted like she hated him. Even after he had told her she should think about the money. He hoped the next time he saw her, she was a little more grateful and had more perspective on the situation considering she would be more separated from her initial adrenaline.
The meeting was quick, the supervisors meeting with them over hologram. They were pleased with the result, having captured Qian and the illegal bombs he was trying to sell to Perez. The trio hung up feeling relief that everything had gone smoothly. Sam got up quickly after they hung up, telling them he had to meet Natasha to go over the next mission he had already been handed. That just left Steve and Bucky in the room.
“Is she alright?” Bucky asked as Steve started to get up from his chair. Steve leveled him with a look before settling back in the chair.
“She’s fine,” Steve returned curtly.
“She didn’t seem fine,” Bucky told him. Steve shot him an annoyed look and Bucky said, “Well, she didn’t.”
“She’s prone to dramatics. She’ll get over it in no time. Plus, she’s got protective daddy Tony to coddle her. I’m sure he’s already back there to cuddle and pamper her. She’s becoming a spoiled brat. And he’s not helping.”
“Didn’t he tell you to not get attached?” Bucky half joked and closed his mouth when Steve glared. “Right. Stark is a ‘do as I say, not as I do’ kind of guy.”
Steve shook his head, tapping his fingers on the table. “With what everyone knows about us, you would think it would’ve been me to catch feelings,” he muttered. “Not the playboy.”
“So, you’re telling me you have no feelings whatsoever,” Bucky said, unable to keep the disbelief out of his voice despite the calmness of his tone. Steve glared across the table at him again, and Bucky stared back defensively this time.
“Does it matter? She’s not my wife,” Steve finally said tightly. “Besides, like I told you, Tony is encroaching.”
“Tony’s married too—”
“Tony doesn’t give a shit about his wife. They’re married at this point for the kids, appearances, and for his ego. The last probably being the most important to him.” He chewed on his bottom lip and looked at Bucky with a guilty conscience.
“What?”
“I wasn’t even supposed to be around her.”
“What do you mean?”
“Tony already threatened me to stay away.”
Bucky cocked his head, this being new information to him. Steve had not told anyone about the encounter between him and Tony after the meeting where they saw Laurie, save for Wylan and Eric who had seen the encounter. They had kept their mouths closed after Steve had threatened them.
“I might have… been messing with her birth control.”
Bucky looked dumbfounded and he shook his head, leaning back. “Steve—”
“Don’t you give me a lecture too!” Steve snapped. “You don’t know what it’s like. To be so in love with a woman and then realize she’s only in it for the money ultimately. And you can’t… let her go. Even then. And then you have her pregnant and not know if it’s yours or not because she’s been messing around.” He paused before exhaling sharply. “And then we had Y/N. And that seemed a perfect opportunity. One to start fresh. And I liked her. She’s cute, funny, great in bed, has her own interests. It was good. Even if it meant sharing…” He trailed off.
“You didn’t want to keep sharing though,” Bucky commented after a few moments of silence. “You wanted her to love you.”
Steve said nothing.
“And she went for Tony,” Bucky finished.
Steve’s jaw ticked and he clipped, “Even after his wife knocked her a good one.” He met Bucky’s eyes again and said, “So, again, what does it matter? I tried to give her an angle of paying her debt off – slowly but surely – and she still didn’t respond. So, The only thing I need to keep track of is if she’s pregnant or not. And we will cross that bridge when we come to it.”
<><><>
You woke up, hearing the soft purr and feeling the fluff against your neck. Luna had curled up on the bed next to you.
Tony was still in bed, dressed. It was dark outside; how long had you been sleeping? He noticed you were awake and looked away from the hologram on the tablet he was working with.
“Did you sleep well?” he asked, closing the hologram.
You shrugged, stretching underneath the sheets. “I guess.” Luna jumped off the bed as you stretched, stretching on the ground herself before trotting towards the door. Probably to go eat.
“As well as you could,” Tony said as a matter of fact and you eyed him. He sounded like he understood what that felt like… sleeping under stress.
You nodded, “Yeah. As well as I could. Thank you.”
“Are you hungry?” he asked. “I had Shake Shack delivered.” You smirked at that and he asked, “What?”
“You and burgers.”
“It’s a comfort thing,” he told you.
Sitting up, you smiled at him. “Well, yes I would like to indulge in comfort with you.”
Your eyes drug down his face and you bit your bottom lip. You needed to keep Tony happy, he was protecting you. Before dinner, you wanted to give him a good time. He had kept his word, staying by you while you slept when he knew you were frightened. That meant something.
“Wanna work up an appetite?” you asked, scooting closer.
“Y/N, you don’t have to—” Tony started to say but you silenced him by forcing your lips to his, your hand holding the back of his head. He gave up on protesting then, very easily, kissing you back with fervor.
Tony helped you get out of your dress and you went to tearing his shirt off, his belt going off next, and subsequently everything else. The skin on skin contact was comforting, and you fell into it, sinking into the intimacy to escape. He felt safe.
Climbing on top, you sunk down onto him slowly. He breathed shakily, his hands at your hips, holding tight as you adjusted to his width. Inch by inch you took him, deeper each time you rolled your hips.
Pushing the thought of the ending of the last time you had found yourself in this exact position, you rotated your hips slowly at first, picking up pace over time. Tony threw his head back against the pillows, his eyes closed, biting his bottom lip. Hands planted on his chest, you worked him and yourself up into a frenzy before you both fell into ecstasy in each other.
Panting, you rolled off of him, him rolling with you, holding you in a tight embrace. His kisses were soft and fierce at the same time along your jawline and up to your lips.
Holding you tucked to his chest, he whispered, “I love you” in between kisses.
The words got stuck in your throat, but he did not seem to notice as he continued caressing and kissing you. You were not ready to say that yet.
<><><>
“Baby, I gotta go,” Tony told you, hovering over you as you woke up the following morning.
That woke you up out of a dead sleep and you sat up further. “For how long?”
“Not long. Just the day. I gotta go home for a bit and then go to the office. Terrence is going to stay in here. I told him no matter what, to stay in here and you are not to leave, even if Steve tells him it’s okay.”
Worriedly, you asked, “And he’ll listen to that?”
“Yes.”
He sounded sincere and you reluctantly said, “Okay.”
Tony gave you a quick kiss on the forehead before he straightened up and walked out of the room. Luna had jumped on the bed and crawled on top of you, kneading.
You looked at her and asked, “Wanna watch Netflix?”
<><><>
Tony saw Steve coming down the hallway. He had gone home for a couple hours, hanging out with the kids. Alessia had not refrained from making the comments about the ‘vacation’ he lied about being on as the excuse of why he had been gone for the days he had been. He had ignored her and enjoyed the play time as well as he could.
But now it was business and he faced Steve with intensity.
“Coming in pretty late, aren’t you?” Steve commented stopping in front of him.
“Spent the morning with the kids,” Tony replied shortly.
“Not with the princess?” Steve taunted.
Tony was not impressed with this response and snapped, “My office.”
Without another word, Tony turned on his heel, heading for it without waiting to get a response from Steve. Steve simpered to himself before following Tony into the office and closing the door. As soon as the door was closed, Tony went in quick.
“I gave you a chance, Steve. I told you to not make me have to tell you three times!”
“So, is this you telling me for the third time?” Steve asked sarcastically.
Tony stepped closer and pointed angrily, “Do you remember when you were so fucking offended she even insinuated that you would hit her? Do you remember that? Let me be the one to tell you that you have done so much worse!” Steve gave a wry laugh and Tony snapped, “You traumatized her, Steve! She is a fucking mess!”
“Oh, give me a break. Don’t buy that overdramatic shit,” Steve retorted. “She’s milking it for attention!”
“And how dare you tell her I knew about it!”
“Was she mad about that?” Steve asked sardonically just to push Tony’s buttons more. “I’m sorry. Did she not let you ride her?”
Tony started to sneer, “You stupid son of—"
“She earned money,” Steve cut in.
“Don’t play that card.”
“What card?”
“Like you were helping her!”
“Was I not?”
“Were you serious about giving her money to pay off some of her debt?”
“Yeah. I was,” Steve told him, and Tony shook his head, furious. “What? Why not dangle the carrot?”
“Because that’s fucked up, Steve!”
“And what we were doing before wasn’t? Who cares if it never came to fruition? She still could have felt some accomplishment from it!”
“We weren’t lying to her about what the situation was like you just decided to pull!” Tony raised his voice defensively.
“You think she’s going to ever be happy? With either of us?” Steve asked Tony seriously. “Sure, we weren’t lying to her before and she knew she was supposed to do whatever we said. But is that really a basis for a good relationship? I mean… apparently you think it is. Like I said before.”
Tony ignored the jab and said fiercely, “Steve, if you have even a slightest bit of hope she is pregnant, why are you doing that shit to her?”
“I have confidence in myself and my team. And it proved right, as it usually does. She didn’t get hurt. And as far as her being pregnant, yeah, I had that on my mind. If you didn’t think I had that on my mind…” He paused before saying, “I wouldn’t have put her in that situation if I wasn’t confident. Trust me on that one. I’m not reckless like you. Racing for her when you’re not even a professional.”
“Oh, fuck off. That was completely different.”
“How?”
“I didn’t leave her! I had no intention of even attempting to do that! It was to protect her! Not to complete some stupid mission she had no business being a part of!”
Steve threw his hands out before they came to rest on his hips. He let out a laugh, “Right. Tony. Always the savior.”
Tony asked annoyed, “What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
“You know exactly what I mean,” Steve snapped. “We’ve already had this conversation! It’s established you’re good cop and I’m bad cop now. I’m sure you already told her about me with the BC now that I’m painted as the bad guy just to make yourself look even better.”
Tony stepped closer, pissed off. “You know what, Steve? No. I didn’t. I didn’t tell her when I found out and I still haven’t told her. I wish you would have a little bit more faith in me than that!”
“Oh, so we are both in that secret now. I’ve made you an accomplice. Wonder what will happen when that dam breaks when she finds out she’s pregnant!” Steve snarled at him.
Tony exploded, “She’s not pregnant, Steve!”
Steve looked flabbergasted for a few moments before he scoffed, “You don’t—”
“I do!” Tony bellowed at him, causing Steve to close his mouth in surprise. “I made her take a test the same goddamn day you told me! It was negative! So, no! She’s not!” Steve ground his teeth, staring Tony down. Tony ran his hand through his hair and exhaled sharply. “So, you’ve got no stake in that. And it seems you really just do not give a shit about her outside of that. You’ve proven that! It seems like it’s just money for you now. And if it’s money you’re worried about, do you think I won’t buy you out?” Tony gave a wry laugh, throwing his hands out. “Me? Not be able to throw some money around? I’ll give you even more if it’ll guarantee you don’t come within 300 yards of her!”
Steve was still silent, shaking his head.
“What? What do you have to say?” Tony exclaimed irritated.
“You don’t know for sure yet about the pregnancy!” Steve said in a low voice, shaking his head again.
Tony gave him an incredulous look, “Are you deaf, Steve? I—”
“I heard what you said! You… god. Do you even remember how it worked or did Alessia just handle it on her own?” Steve asked him harshly. Tony waited expectantly and Steve shrugged, “That answers that. You need to do it two weeks after a missed period.” He held up two fingers for dramatics, pissed off. “You asked her about that? If she’s had one yet? She’s been off the pills for over a month! You can definitely take a test too early! It just happened with Cecile, I should know!”
Tony was silent now and Steve scoffed loudly. He stepped closer and said angrily, “So, you can coddle her and play your big bad protector, sugar daddy role.” Tony clenched his jaw at that, insulted by the comment and Steve pressed on, not caring; it only made him more animated. “Whatever you are planning on doing. She was far too fucking over dramatic when I saw her last anyway. She’s your problem for now.”
“’For now’.”
“Yes, for now,” Steve snapped back at him. “If she is pregnant, I am not going to let that go.”
“Looks like you’ll be waiting on yet another pregnancy test to see if it’s yours. Funny how you keep finding yourself in these situations,” Tony said coolly.
Steve stared at Tony, looking murderous for about two seconds before he laughed a curt laugh. Tony knew it was coming a split second before Steve swung at him. Tony almost moved quick enough but he got clipped.
As he stumbled, he hit the arc reactor. The suit built around him quick but not quick enough because Steve socked him again, sending him spiraling. But the suit’s hands dug into the floor as it completed, catching Tony before he fell completely flat. He was up in a second, meeting Steve’s oncoming fist.
“Steve!” Tony grated as Steve yanked his hands out of the suit’s grasp with effort. “Stop it!”
Steve ignored him, swinging again and Tony deflected. Steve swung again and Tony gripped Steve’s fist in his and struggled to hold him. Steve got free and socked Tony again, knocking him back. Tony sent a short burst of power at him, knocking Steve onto his stomach. Steve was back up in a moment and Tony was ready with an uppercut, sending Steve back to his knees.
His office door opened and Happy was standing there with Rhodes.
“Stay back!” Tony shouted at the two of them as Steve got back up.
Steve had a trail of blood coming out of the corner of his mouth, his hair and suit disheveled. His gaze was fixed on Tony’s suit.
“Final warning, Steve,” Tony said lowly, holding up his hand, lighting up the repulsor threateningly.
Steve was stiff, hatred in his expression. He straightened out his suit aggressively, brushing at his slacks.
“I’d do another pregnancy test, Stark,” Steve sneered before wiping at his mouth and turning on his heel. He shoved past Happy and Rhodey, knocking shoulders with them.

"Hey, just look at me. Breathe.” + "Stop keeping your phone on silent, you got me worried.”
Characters by @lumosinlove bless her beautiful mind
TW: panic attack/anxiety/depression
Leo wasn’t a control freak and he most certainly wasn’t freaking out about not knowing where the hell Logan was at three o’clock in the morning.
Finn was in New York visiting his parents so it had just been Leo and Logan for the past few days so when Leo woke up in the middle of the night to an empty bed he had automatically assumed Logan was in the bathroom.
When it became evident that Logan wasn’t in the bathroom, Leo had felt his anxiety start pooling in his stomach as he set about the apartment trying to find his boyfriend who never ever woke up in the middle of the night.
Leo felt his anxiety start spiraling when he realized Logan wasn’t in the apartment at all. He had tried calling him but Logan’s phone just rang out every time and Leo was sick of leaving voicemails.
Deciding he had had enough when he went to check outside just in case Logan had stepped out, he called Finn. It was obvious that he had woken Finn up with his call, not that he really expected anything else.
“Leo?” Finn’s groggy voice filtered through the phone. “What’s wrong?” His words were slurring with sleep and Leo felt momentarily bad for waking him up before remembering his reasoning.
“F-Finn?” Finn’s next response sounded much more awake. “What happened? What’s wrong?” Leo tried to stop his body from shaking but it felt like the room was getting smaller, his lungs were burning and he gritted his teeth against the waves of anxiety.
“I can’t find him. I woke up and he wasn’t here so I started looking around but he isn’t here and he isn’t answering his phone and I don’t know how to get to him and-” Finn cut him off and told him to breathe. “Baby he’ll be okay, but you need to breathe if you’re going to be of any help to him okay?” Leo couldn’t simply turn off his anxiety but the words brought him the energy to fight harder against it.
“What if he’s hurt? What if something happens? Why would he just leave?” Leo heard Finn sigh over the phone and he could practically see the frown he knew was plastered on Finn’s face. “He’s probably out thinking. It’s a pretty bad day for him and he always beats himself up today so he probably just couldn’t sleep and went for a walk. If it makes you feel better you can wait up for him, I’ll stay on the phone.”
Leo hesitated, torn between the comfort his boyfriend brought and the guilt for waking him up. “It’s alright you can go back to sleep, I’ll wait up for him. I just have one question.” There was a muffled noise from Finn’s side and Leo heard a huff before Finn’s voice came back through.
“Okay, go ahead but I’m going to stay on for a while just so you don’t freak out again.” Leo felt a rush of affection for Finn, appreciative of how well his boyfriend knew him. “Thanks, Harzy.” Leo said, his voice softer. “Why is today bad for him?” Leo asked carefully, anxiety crawling back up when Finn went quiet.
“It’s the day I left for Gryffindor, neither of us wanted to leave things the way they did and Logan beats himself up for it every year. I called him the night I got there, I was crying because everything was too much and I just really needed him and he only talked to me for about five minutes before hanging up. He was scared and understandably so, he was trying to act strong but it hurt and he regrets it a lot. We both did a lot of dumb things when we were in college.” Leo closed his eyes and let out a sigh.
He was well aware of how bad Logan could get when he got caught up in his college years, most of the time he would get quiet and distant and would sleep on the couch, punishing himself for things that he’d been long since forgiven for.
“I’m normally with him,” Finn added a hint of pain in his voice that made Leo frown. “I normally help him through it but I wasn’t there. I should’ve been there.” It was Leo's turn to sigh. "Finn you couldn't help it your family needed you, I should've realized something was going on."
There was silence on the other end of the phone until Finn broke it. "God I wish I was there to hug you two." Leo laughed weakly and was about to respond when he heard the lock turn in the door.
"He's here." Leo said breathlessly. "Okay. Can you call me later? He'll need you right now but call me later?" Finn sounded slightly frantic and Leo's nerves shot again. "I will. I love you." Leo whispered, his eyes locked on the door that was opening. "I love you too." Finn said before hanging up.
The door opened with a creak and Logan stepped in. Leo's hands started shaking again as he took in Logan's red eyes and tear-streaked face.
"You-you weren't answering." Leo stuttered standing up quickly, Logan's head spun around at the sound. "My phone was on silent." Logan said softly, slowly making his way to Leo.
"You could have left a note or a text or anything. Stop leaving your phone on silent, you got me worried." Leo said, his voice wavering slightly. Logan’s lip quivered slightly and Leo let out a sigh as he opened his arms.
Logan let out a sob as he all but collapsed into Leo’s arms. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry I should h-have told you.” Leo raised one hand from where it was rubbing soothing circles on Logan’s back to his brown curls as he eased them back on the couch.
Leo pulled Logan into his lap so he could wrap his arms around Logan’s waist, Logan’s head falling on his shoulder and his knees meeting Leo’s waist. “You’re okay, baby.” Logan just sobbed harder, Leo felt his own eyes watering in response.
“I-I was so bad. L-Leo I’m such a-a bad person.” Logan sounded so broken that Leo felt his breath catch in his throat. “Baby, no. Logan, you’re such an amazing person don’t say that.” Logan shook his head frantically, his head lifting off Leo’s shoulder so he could look Leo in the face.
“No, I hurt him. Le, I hurt him so badly. I knew he was doing bad, I knew it and I didn’t try to help, not only did I not try to help but I was part of the reason.” Logan’s breaths were coming too fast and Leo knew he needed to calm him down.
“Lo, baby, look at me. Hey, look at me. Breathe.” He said, tilting Logan’s head so he could see his green eyes that were shining with tears. “I-I can’t. I can’t breathe.” Logan said gasping, panic taking over his features. Leo put his hands up to either side of Logan’s face and wiped the tears with his thumbs.
“You have to breathe for me, honey. Just breathe. You’re not a bad person, we all know that and Finn forgave you a long time ago. You deserve everything, that was a long time ago and you suffered from it just as much as he did.” Logan let out a sob but his breathing had returned to semi-normal.
Logan wrapped his arms tightly around Leo and buried his face in Leo’s neck as if he couldn’t get close enough. Leo kissed his head and tightened his grip, he knew Logan well enough by now that he just needed to be close to someone.
“I’m just, I’m just so tired.” Logan said quietly and Leo stilled for a second before slipping his hands under Leo’s shirt so he could rub circles with his thumbs over Logan’s hip bones. Logan never talked about his anxiety or his depression and the only people who knew he had it was Leo, Finn, and Remus.
“I can’t explain it. It’s like I’ll be fine one minute and the next it’s on replay and as much as I want to believe you and Finn I can’t help but feel like I’m an awful person. It’s like I’m in this hole that I can’t get out of and every time I try I just sink deeper.” Leo sighed, wishing that there was some way he could help.
“I feel like I’m drowning.” Logan added his voice nothing more than a whisper. The words felt like knives in his heart and Leo had to squeeze his eyes shut to stop the tears threatening to fall. “We won’t let you.” Leo said forcefully, his arms bringing Logan impossibly closer. “Finn and I would never let you. If you ever feel like you’re sinking we’ll be there to pull you back up.”
Logan laughed weakly and pulled back so he could kiss Leo soundly. “I love you, you know that right? I love you so much.” Logan said softly and Leo couldn’t help the fond smile that appeared on his face. “I love you too, Lo. So much.” Logan smiled before rolling off Leo’s lap and dragging him up to his feet.
Leo laughed, following him until Logan pulled him to their room and pushed Leo on the bed, crawling on top of him. Leo raised an eyebrow and Logan rolled his eyes before dropping to his elbows and planting a firm kiss on Leo’s lips.
Leo smiled into it before rolling so he was on top of Logan. “I think it’s been an emotional night and Finn wanted you to facetime him before you go to sleep so we should do this in the morning.” Logan pouted but nodded, sighing when Leo laid on him. Leo was making it hard to breathe but Logan just smiled and tangled his fingers into the blonde’s curls.
“Alright let’s call him.”

You raise your eyebrows when he tells you that you need a pack a bag, and you frown at him in suspicion, but he doesn't even blink at you as he goes back to whatever he was doing.
Your parents weren't home at the time you were leaving, so you just told them that you were hanging with Ymir for a couple of days, Jean wasn't going to be home, and you were going to be back before him, so you figured you didn't need to tell him anything.
So Eren decides to leave late at night on Friday, and ten minutes later he texts you that he's outside, and then he's driving down the street and to who knows where. You yawn widely, tears forming in your eyes, and you wipe them away as you notice that you've been driving for more than thirty minutes.
"You taking me somewhere in the country or something?" you ask, seeing that you don't recognize your surroundings anymore.
He chuckles as he reaches over to grab your hand, lacing his fingers with yours. "I told you. It's a surprise, it's about a couple hours away."
You roll your eyes when he tells you it's a surprise but nod anyway even though that still doesn't tell you exactly where you're going, and he huffs when you say you're going to go to sleep for the rest of the ride, and as you doze off, you feel his lips on your hand.
You feel something shaking your shoulder, and you breathe in deeply as you peel your eyes open, looking around to see you're in a parking lot. "Where are we?" you ask with a yawn, looking ahead of you to see a big building about two stories tall.
"Furniture store." You frown, turning your head to look at him.
"A furniture store? Why?"
"Wanted to change up my apartment," he answers, getting out the car and you follow.
"And why did I have to come?" you ask, meeting him on his side of the truck as he locks it.
"To get you some practice, since you wanna do interior design. You can use my apartment as a project or something." You feel your face heating at the thought, and you mask it with a scrunch of your nose.
"You're a dork." He smirks softly as he wraps his arm around you, walking you towards the building.
"Only for you."
The automatic doors slide open, and the place is pretty huge, but not big enough where you feel like you might be lost, and you let him lead you whichever way. "Okay, so what do you start with?" he asks you, stopping at the living room section, and you shrug.
"Colors, I guess," you admit, looking at the different couches. "What's your favorite color?" you ask, absentmindedly running your hand over the back of an armchair.
"Any color that you look good in." You roll your eyes as you scoff, turning to look at him.
"Which is?"
"Everything." You chuckle as you push at his chest lightly, almost thinking it's a lost cause until he speaks up again. "I don't know. Dark green, maybe?"
You nod as you look at the different furniture. "Okay, that's a start. And sometimes, I look at how big you want something to be depending on what you want to use it for. So, for example, how big would you want your couch to be?"
"Big enough for us to have sex on." You drop your head as you scoff, having trouble fighting the smile off your face.
"You're insufferable." You're pretty sure Eren makes you walk through the entire store, looking at stuff that you know he doesn't even own, and you notice that he keeps asking you if you like certain things or not.
"Why does it matter if I like it or not? It's your apartment," you add, and he busies himself with pulling the drawers open on a desk while he keeps his other arm wrapped around your waist. He mumbles something that you don't catch, but you don't get to ask because he's pulling you somewhere else.
You're almost out of the place when your eyes land on the prettiest coffee table you've ever seen. You gasp in surprise, stopping in your tracks and walking towards it, pulling Eren with you.
It's a deep mahogany, glass on top, and there's storage for smaller things like magazines or coasters, and it's just right height, you never understood the appeal of coffee tables that are nearly touching the ground. "You like it?" Eren asks you, jumping you out of your trance.
"I love it," you breathe, running your hand over it softly. "But there's literally nowhere for me to put it," you joke, giving it one last look before you start to walk away, and you stop when you realize Eren's not following. "Are we leaving?" you ask, pointing towards the door, thinking that maybe he wanted to look at something else.
But then he's waving you off, walking towards you. "Yeah, let's go."
"You know we just passed the college Jean goes to, right?" you say, your eyebrows raised, and Eren just shrugs as he keeps his attention on the road.
"Yeah, so?"
"So? What if he sees us? He said he had something to do for school," you stress, starting to feel yourself panic a little.
"Don't worry. Seriously, he's not going to find out." He sounds confident, so it calms you a little bit, but that panic is still underlying. He grabs your hand, giving it a soft squeeze. "I'm being serious. I already checked beforehand, we're fine."
You nod this time, his words reassuring you as you start to notice the light poles on the street you're driving down are covered in decorations. The further he drives down the road, the more decorations seem to be lining the buildings. "Is there some kind of festival?" you ask, looking around.
Eren shrugs as he pulls the truck into a parking spot on the street. "Let's find out," he says, and you're once again following him out, and when you get out, you can hear music playing. You follow the sound of the music, and you reach what must be the main area because there's suddenly food trucks lining the streets, a bunch of activities to do, and a crowd of people dancing.
They've cut off the whole street for the occasion, and you smile widely as you look around. "I think this is some festival for the town or something," Eren says, remembering hearing something about it before he went back home, and you bounce on your feet excitedly.
"Well, we can't just stand here!" You grab his hand, almost pulling him off his feet as you run towards the thicker part of the crowd. He laces his fingers with yours as you both walk through to look at the different venues and the different food they have.
He nearly buys everything that your eyes linger on for too long, and you firmly tell him to not buy you anything else, to which he just responds with a roll of his eyes, both of you knowing that he's still going to do it.
He watches you fondly when you get excited about the face painted, but he denies it when you say that he should get one. "Oh, come on, you have to get one," you urge, feeling the paint on your face starting to harden.
The person who did yours tells you that you could paint on Eren's face and that only makes you more excited. You force him to sit down on the bench as you look through the options, grabbing his wrist when he tries to sneak away.
"Just pick one, please?" you say, and he gives you a warm look as he smiles softly.
"Fine." He gives in, and you grab the brush excitedly. "Anything yellow," he responds when you ask him what he wants.
"Why yellow? Because I look good in it?" you tease, picking out something that's easy for you to draw.
"It's the color you picked on the fortune teller." You freeze, looking up at him, before smiling softly as you dip the paintbrush in the paint.
"You remember that?" you ask shyly, and he would nod, but you're already starting to paint on his face.
"Of course I do. It's the first time I talked to you." He huffs softly when he sees you shy away again before you focus on the flower you're drawing. He chuckles softly as he watches you stick your tongue out in concentration, and you pull away with a frown.
"Why are you laughing at me?" you ask, grabbing his chin to angle his cheek closer towards you.
He moves before you can turn his face, pecking a kiss on your nose. "Because you look cute." You shake your head, feeling your face flush warm before grabbing his chin again and moving his head where you want it.
"Okay," you sigh when you finish, putting the brush down, and you hold the mirror up for him to see what it looks like, and you put your head on the side of it. "Do you like it?" you ask impatiently, and he nods as he stands, pulling you up with him.
"Yeah, it looks good for someone with no art skills," he jokes, making you roll your eyes but you laugh anyway, and you both walk away as he takes out his phone.
You peek over his shoulder, not realizing he opened the camera app, and he plants his lips on your cheek that doesn't have paint on it, snapping the picture, and he locks his phone before you can see it. You're trying to convince him to let you see it, both of you walking closer to the music, and suddenly you're being pulled into the dancing crowd.
Both of your eyes widen in surprise, but then you notice a kid grabbing your hands, and you laugh instantly as you start dancing, blending into the crowd, but to Eren, you're the only one he sees.
And huh.
Is that what this feels like? He's always seen it in movies, read it in books, but he's never experienced it like this, the feeling so strong. He unlocks his phone, his heart skipping a beat when he looks over the picture, the biggest grin on his face before he looks back up at you.
You look like you're having the time of your life, and he realizes that he's fallen so far, so fast in so little time. He feels like he's living in some kind of movie, and he always thought it was unrealistic to feel this way about you in a short amount of time, but the longer he looks at you, the more he believes that it's more than possible.
And he looks back down at his phone, making the picture his lock screen.
"Let me have some more," you whisper, and Eren rolls his eyes as he scoffs, checking to make sure the coast is clear before handing you his glass.
"Woah, woah," he says when you take a huge sip of wine, taking the glass out of your hand. "Ease up will you," he chastises, setting the glass on the stool next to the both of you.
"I have to get as much as I can before they see me," you respond, having trouble hiding your giggles as the alcohol fills your system.
The festival had started to die down, and he saw a sign for wine and art. He knew they weren't going to let you have any, but he was having a hard time denying you, and now he scoffs at your tipsy state. "We're supposed to be painting," he responds, grabbing the paintbrush.
"Well, what are we drawing?" you say, your words slurring just a bit, and he shrugs as he wraps his arm tighter around you.
"Whatever you want," he says, adjusting the both of you on the stool you're sitting on. He was surprised the both of you could fit on it, but he only took that as an excuse to hold you. "How about four flowers?"
Your eyebrows crease before you turn to look at you. "Why four?" He smiles at you, and you feel like you should know the answer, but you can't think of it. "The fortune teller?" you try, and he nods, making you roll your eyes.
"Why are you such a sap?" you reply playfully, and he laughs softly before putting the brush in your hand, then putting his hand on top of yours. He guides your hand over the canvas as you start painting. "How'd you know that these are my favorite?"
"Lucky guess." It's the flowers you had in your hair at the wedding.
You frown at him again, but go back to painting anyway, the strokes not as clean due to a variety of reasons, but the outline comes out good, and he helps you color them in.
He lets you have one last sip before he tells you that you're not getting anymore, and you frown but listen anyway. "Why aren't you drinking?"
"Because I'm driving," he replies lamely, and you nod softly as your mouth falls open.
"Oh. You're so responsible."
He rolls his eyes. "Thanks," he says dryly.
You both finish your painting around the same time everyone else does, or rather people are starting to get less incoherent, so they can't focus on painting, and Eren takes the canvas, leading you out of the gallery with an arm around your waist.
"I'm so full and tired," you whine, your steps a little wobbly, and he chuckles as he carefully puts the canvas in the backseat before helping you in.
He starts driving away and about ten minutes in, he realizes you're really quiet, so he assumes you've fallen asleep, but then you gasp, making him jump out of his skin and almost swerve off the road.
"What the fuck--"
"A drive-in movie, we have to go!" you yell, probably a little bit more loudly than you needed, pointing out the window, and he looks to see an empty lot with cars and a giant movie screen.
He finds himself already slowing down and turning into the lot without even thinking about it, backing in so that you can watch the movie from the bed of the truck. He gets out first, letting the tail down so that he can set up some of the blankets he still has in his truck before helping you up, your steps shaky as you get in.
He lays down first, and you follow, and he chuckles as you instantly grab a blanket, wrapping yourself up before you lay on him. "Don't fall asleep, this was your idea," he speaks up when he hears you go quiet again, and you shift slightly.
"M not sleep. I'm just tired," you mumble, making him huff fondly.
The movie that's playing is something he's never seen before, and he's actually pretty focused on it when he feels you moving, and he just assumes that you're trying to get comfortable.
"Eren," he hears you whisper, and he hums to show that he heard you, keeping his focus on the movie.
"What, baby?" he says when you say his name again, and he tears his eyes from the screen to look down at you.
"I want a kiss," you say softly, and he half rolls his eyes before leaning down anyway. "One more." He sighs fondly before leaning down again, cupping your face in his hand, and he pulls away when you try and deepen the kiss.
"You're drunk, baby," he tells you, and you frown as you shake your head.
"No, I'm not," you argue, and he raises his eyebrows at you.
"Intoxicated," he tries, and you purse your lips as you think.
"Maybe." He huffs again before kissing you on the forehead.
"I'll kiss you again when you're sober." You groan softly in protest, but you don't say anything else as you turn your attention back to the movie.
~
Eren rolls his eyes when he hears you complain about being tired for the millionth time that night as he guides you into the dark apartment. He leads you to his room, catching you every time you almost fall, and the moment your eyes land on the bed, you're flopping on it face down.
"Hey, you gotta change first," he tells you, dropping your bag on the floor softly, but you groan softly, turning your head so that you can breathe.
"M fine," you argue, and he scoffs as he walks over to you.
"Trust me, you'll want to get changed." You groan as you roll over, unbuttoning your shorts, sliding them down your legs before letting them fall to the floor. You roll back onto your stomach, reaching under your shirt to unhook your bra, maneuvering it out from under you before it joins your shorts on the floor.
"Are you happy now?" you groan, and he rolls his eyes again as he moves back to your bag. You feel the bed dip next to you as he climbs in, but you don't move.
"Can you sit up for me?" he asks, and you sigh, turning your head to look at him. "It'll only take a second."
You sit up slowly as you start to feel a headache coming on, blinking slowly, and you notice that he's putting your bonnet on, and he catches you when you try and lay back down, not letting you go until all of your hair is in it.
"Now you can lay down." He barely gets the words out as your body hits the mattress again, and you get comfortable as you snuggle your face into the pillow, and he notices that you're blinking gets heavier, but you're looking at him.
"What?" he questions softly, running the back of his fingers over your face gently, and you give him a sleepy smile.
"You're really pretty," you mumble, and he huffs in surprise as he feels his face heating up.
"You think I'm pretty?"
You nod as fast as your body can let you, sighing heavily. "You're like...like," you nod again. "Yeah, you're like really pretty." And then you're out like a light.
Your soft snores fill the room, and he finds himself smiling fondly as he watches you sleep, and before he can think, he's slowly getting out of the bed and grabbing his sketchbook. He slides back in the bed, and all of the images from earlier today come flooding into his head and onto the pages.
He doesn't know how long he sits there, filling every last inch of the paper in you, but he can't stop until he's drawn everything. He draws your face when you were concentrating on painting on his face, he draws you attempting to concentrate on the painting even though the wine was making you even more incoherent, and he finds himself smiling for long enough that his face hurts.
When he gets all of those images out of his head, he looks back over at you before starting on the next drawing, chuckling softly at how your face is smushed by the pillow.
And he wonders if it could work between the both of you, but he doesn't know how you feel, and he doesn't want to do anything that will cause you to stop talking to him like you did back then even though he still doesn't know what he did.
But he's scared to ask, and part of him thinks it's the reason for that conflicted look you have in your eyes sometimes, and he wants to ask you what he did so that he can fix it because he doesn't want to hurt you. Not when you mean so much to him.
When he thinks that he's gotten most of the images drawn, and when he's about to run out of room is where he should call it a night, putting the book somewhere you won't be able to find it easily before laying down next to you.
You breathe in deeply, shifting closer to him in your sleep, and he carefully lays you on his chest, and the familiar weight of you puts him to sleep.

Its rumored among the people of the purple planet that somewhere out there is another planet with sapient life on it.
They speculate and guess about what it might look like.
But the one thing they love to speculate about the most is their mouths.
At one camp, there is a longstanding tradition of eating the g'nares around the flame and telling stories.
Every summer the campers gather, just after dark, and guess. wondering what must be out there. sure, there is always one or two youths that think the notion of other life is foolish, but everyone else knows deep down that life is out there, and it's weird. there are three primary schools of thought, and they've all developed unique traditions and lore over the years at the camp, just like the storytellers of the ancient civilizations.
one group of theorists poses that the aliens have long, straw like mouths for drinking and eating from fruits. like the heroic Stevphen of the swampland planet. Stevphen leads his tribe through the swampy marshlands of their planet, always in search of one more tree that they can use to make just one more canoe for the little ones. the berries are found everywhere, and it's common knowledge that while their juice is highly nutritious, the skins are not. fortunately, their long mouths are filled with a fibrous filter of sorts, able to prevent them from swallowing the berry skins when they crush the berries to have their sustenance. Stevphen was the first to realize how much easier it was to crush up these delicious berries than to have to find the float melons for their people. this came in especially handy when a global plague wiped out nearly all the float melons, leaving only the berries to eat on much of their planet. the other tribes died out very quickly, but Stevphen's tribe persisted on, eventually populating the entire planet again.
the second group of theorists has long held that the mouths of those creatures aren't really mouths at all, but simply membranes to catch the bugs that surely must be abundant on their jungle planet. the wise Bronce was the first to pose that the bugs could be followed and managed rather than just hunted, and that saved his people from near total catastrophe. when the planet went through a draught, many areas ran out of bugs. the puddles and lakes which once supported their spawning dried up, and the peoples of those areas soon withered away with them. in other areas, the bugs survived the draught, but over hunting and gluttony crushed them, and their loss crushed the peoples of those regions. it was only Bronce and the peoples of their lands who made it through, by using the newly discovered science of tree fly husbandry. Bronce taught their people to observe the tree flies, and only consume what the populations could support unless the people were starving. Bronce led her people through the forests, educating the others, all the while becoming the most prosperous bug farmers of the planet, sharing their abundance with all the peoples they found.
then there was the third group. despite being followed by over 20% of the campers throughout history, and gaining traction each year, it was dismissed as lunacy by the other groups. the theory was, admittedly, kind of outlandish. after all, if terrestrial mouths were squishy, soft, and wide, why would other life be so different? but they believed it nonetheless. the theory was as follows: what if their mouths weren't specialized, like the other theories? what if their mouths weren't adapted just for fruit or just for catching bugs? what if their mouths weren't limited to dissolving the bark off of trees like the campers and their people? what if their mouths could handle everything? what if they could eat the berries or roots or even the flesh of other creatures? what if their mouths had both soft tissue and hard tusks? what if they could both cut and grind and sip? just like their leader Merroi? She and her people had been roaming the barren deserts of their arid planet for generations, but Merroi was the first one to realize just how many options they could take advantage of. for years the hardy ears of the spiny paddle plant had been all she had known the taste of, but one day she wondered what the other plants had to offer. she pulled up the leafy stalk of the pik prot bush, and saw it had thick juicy roots. she took a big bite, and chewed it for a little bit, and then another and another. this bush had some of the sweetest roots they had ever found, and the stalks could be used to make ropes out of. they then found themselves being attacked by one of the giant snakes of the desert, but managed to fend it off. Merroi had seen the rodents and birds gorging themselves on the meat of dead snakes before, so she suggested they try it themselves. they found that they were able to tear into it with great effectiveness. the people were then, over the next few generations, able to expand their menu ever further, drawing upon the spirit of Merroi and her adventurousness. they maintained balance of the populations of the plants and animals by being able to avoid a given species in favor of the others when they noticed the planet was suffering. soon they had become so abundant in food that they had time to devote to other pursuits, such as developing tools and architecture and written language and all manner of things.
but who really knows? perhaps Stevphen, the bold patriarch of the swamps was actually a hunter. perhaps Merroi, the matriarch of the desert, was actually a picky eater! and maybe, just maybe, Bronce, the ancestor of the Jungle peoples, was afraid of bugs the whole time.

Set It Off / Part Four
Jimin x Reader
Genre: Angst, mafia!AU
Warnings: None
“Go, Go, Go!”
“I’m going as fast as I can here Y/N-ah!” Jimin shot back, immediately hitting a hard left turn around a street corner as the two of you attempted to evade the police. After you all left the organization’s headquarters, the police quickly caught up to you and had been on your tail for the past 10 minutes.
“We gotta think,” you muttered anxiously to yourself. “They’re not gonna just keep chasing us for forever so they’re probably gonna set up a roadblock.”
“There’s no probably on that jagi,” Jimin murmured as he turned another corner and your eyes widened when you saw the police blockade blocking off the end of the street. The blockade was made up of a few police cars that had all parked together to form a half circle with the front of the cars, which was supposed to stop anyone from getting through.
“Baby,” Jimin spoke softly and you looked over at him. “Put your head down and don’t sit up until I tell you to.” Sensing how serious he was, you just nodded your head before parting your legs and lowering your body so that your head was in between your knees. Having your head down like that made your nausea threaten to flare up but you took deep breathes in through your nose and out through your mouth, which helped tremendously.
Suddenly, the engine of the car revved up and before you knew it, the car was surging forward. You had to press your hands against the dashboard so that your head wouldn’t hit it, and you could feel the moment when Jimin crashed the car through the blockade. You squeezed your eyes shut, hoping like hell that the BMW would be able to withstand the damage. After about a minute, you weren’t able to hear the sound of police sirens, which had been ringing in your heard ever since you left the headquarters.
“Alright baby, you can sit up,” Jimin told you and when you did so, you saw that he was speeding out onto the highway. Turning around to glance over your shoulder, you smiled in victory when you saw that there was not one police car behind the two of you.
“You’re fucking insane, you know that?” You chuckled in disbelief, and Jimin just smiled knowingly.
“They weren’t expecting us to even try and press the blockade because if they were, they wouldn’t put something a little more sturdy in the way, like spike strips or something” Jimin sighed. “Just when I start to actually feel guilty for living a life of crime, the stupidity of officers and how they literally let us get away makes me feel better about it.”
“I get it,” you laughed, abruptly stopping and slamming your hand over your mouth.
“What’s wrong?” Jimin wondered but instead of answering him, you hurriedly rolled the window down and stuck your head and the top half of your body out of the window, vomiting onto the street below. Jimin grimaced at the sound of your retching and he wanted to stop to give you time to rest, but the two of you needed to get as far away from police presence as you could while you had a head start.
“God, I’ve been holding that in all day,” you huffed as you pulled yourself back into the car and slumped down in your seat, making Jimin laugh at your words.
........................................
You’re woken up by the feeling of the car coming to a slow stop. When you open your eyes, you see that it’s now dark outside and when you look to your left, you see Jimin putting the car into park.
“What’s wrong?” You yawned loudly, reaching out and stretching your arms and legs. “Where are we?”
“Inje,” he told you and you raised an eyebrow at him.
“We’re not too far from Naksan Beach then,” you said. “So why did you stop?”
“There was a police car about 20 kilometres back,” Jimin started. “It was by itself and it didn’t stop me or turn around or anything like that, but I’ve seen two other police cars since then.”
“Oh shit,” you groaned, knowing that the first police car had probably identified your vehicle. “Well, we gotta go then.”
“No, you have to go,” Jimin told you.
“What?”
“Y/N, you have to get out of the car,” he sighed, and you instantly shook your head. “We have to split up.”
“No,” you stated firmly. “I’m not leaving you.”
“Baby, we have to,” Jimin pleaded and you looked over at him, your hardened gaze instantly softening when you saw the emotion on his face. “They’re going to be looking for this car and it’ll be better if you’re not in it in case they catch up to me.”
“What about the safe house in Naksan?” You questioned.
“I’ll catch up to you, I promise,” he swore and you tore your gaze away from his, bouncing your leg anxiously as you thought about what he said. As much as you hate to admit it, he was right. The two of you had better chances of getting away if you split up.
“What about the money?” You asked.
“Take it with you and hold onto it,” he advised you. “We’re not far from Naksan, so you should be able to walk with no problems.”
“And what about you?” You whispered, tears welling up in your eyes as you looked over at him. “Jimin, I can’t leave you.”
“Baby,” he cooed lightly, reaching over and grabbing your face in his hands, smashing his lips onto yours. The two of you kissed for what felt like forever, savoring the taste and feeling of each other’s lips. When he finally pulled away from you, he gently rested his forehead against yours. “I’ll be fine.”
“You don’t know that,” you shot back.
“There’s no reason why I won’t-,”
“Taehyung.” You muttered and that instantly shut Jimin up. “There’s no reason why Taehyung shouldn’t have been fine either, but look what happened.”
“I know but that was also his choice, as much as I hate it,” he grumbled. “I promise you, I’m not gonna leave you or our baby alone. Alright?”
“Alright,” you relented, leaning forward and giving him another kiss before pulling away from him. You then turned around and opened the car door, getting out and shutting it before moving to the backseat, opening the door and grabbing the duffel bag that had been sitting on the floor before shutting the door again. Jimin rolled down the passenger side window, and you leaned inside as you hooked the strap of the duffel bag onto your shoulder. “Call me whenever you think you’re clear.”
“I will jagi,” he promised. “Stay off the main roads if you can and go back in the opposite direction.”
“Ok,” you nodded. “I love you.”
“I love you more Y/N-ah,” he smiled. Taking a deep breath, you stepped back from the car, watching with bated breath as Jimin put the car into drive and sped off down the street. You then turned around, heading towards Naksan as you cried silently to yourself.
........................................
Two hours later, you sighed in relief as the safe house finally came into view. You knew the way up there like the back of your hand, but you had to take some detours as you heard the occasional police siren.
You quickly climbed the steps to the safe house, which was really a beach house that sat right on the shore. Reaching down and moving a large vase that held a plant, you lifted it up and grabbed the key that was taped to the bottom of it. After putting the plant back in its place, you put the key inside of the door and unlocked it, pushing it open and stepping inside afterwards.
The silent hope that you had been carrying in your head instantly deflated when you saw that the house was pitch black and cold, meaning that none of the others had made it there yet. You didn’t even want to think about what that might mean though, so you didn’t.
Sighing heavily, you toed off your shoes and left them at the front door. Walking towards the middle of the room, you set the duffel full of money on the couch before moving towards the large fireplace that was against the opposite wall. Bending down, you grabbed some old newspaper as tinder and a lighter, setting it on fire before throwing it onto of the two logs that were already sitting in the fireplace. Waiting, you made sure that it actually began to catch fire before you stood up again. Not really knowing what to do with yourself after that, you decided that the first thing to do was to hide the money.
Picking the duffel bag up again, you walked out of the open plan living room and down one of the hallways, taking a left and walking into one of the spare bedrooms. Recognizing this room from when you and Namjoon had come to scout out a potential safe house, you knew that the floorboards in this room were removable. Getting down onto your knees near the dresser, you reached around for the flap that you knew was there and once you found it, you pulled on it and smiled when it lifted up for you. Setting the piece of floor board to the side, you took the duffel bag and placed it inside, making sure that it was zipped up and concealed before grabbing the floor board and setting it back into place.
Deciding that there was nothing else that you could do at this point except for wait, you decided to go take a shower. Standing up straight, you reached over to the dresser and opened one of the drawers, smiling when you saw that the clothes that you had left there were still in their same place. Grabbing a t-shirt and some sweats, you shut the drawer before moving over to the en suite bathroom.
You cut on the light and shut the door behind you, setting your change of clothes on the counter. You then moved over to a cabinet, grabbing a large towel and a smaller face towel before shutting it again and walking back over to the counter to set the towels next to your clothes. You then looked up at the mirror that hung over the counter, and your eyes widened at your reflection as it looked back at you.
Your hair was a mess from being pulled away from your face all day, you had a few scrapes that you couldn’t even remember getting, and there were small smears of darkened blood on the apples of your cheeks, your chin, and your forehead. Seeing the blood on your face made you look down at your hands and tears instantly began to form once you saw that your hands were still covered in Taehyung’s blood from when you tried to save him.
“God dammit,” you sniffled angrily, reaching down and grabbing your shirt before yanking it up and over your head. You did the same with your bra, pants, and underwear before moving over to the shower, turning it on and not waiting for the water to warm up to get inside. The water was entirely too cold but that was ok, because you wanted something to numb you from the overwhelming emotions that you were feeling.
You wanted to blame it on the baby, hoping that it was just your fluctuating hormones that were making you this upset but deep down, you knew that wasn’t the case. You had lost a member of your family today and for the first time since your parents had passed, you felt that same dagger in your heart as you allowed yourself to sob openly into the small space of the shower.
........................................
After pulling yourself together and getting out of the shower, you ambled back out into the kitchen in search of food, knowing that you needed to at least eat something small.
You walked over to the refrigerator, opening it and sighing happily when you saw that it was fully stocked. You figured that Namjoon probably had one of the junior members of the organization make sure that all the safe houses were fully stocked just in case things went bad, and you had never been more thankful for his sense of thinking ahead as your stomach rumbled powerfully.
Grabbing the bread, cheese, and the butter out of the fridge, you moved over to the counter and dumped them all down. Deciding to make a grilled cheese since you figured that your stomach wouldn’t really be able to handle anything super heavy, you set about putting the sandwich together. Just as you moved to grab a pan to cook it in, you heard rustling from outside by the front door.
Abandoning your sandwich, you reached over and grabbed your gun that you had left on the counter. The sudden knock that sounded on the door almost made you jump out of your skin, but you recovered quickly and walked up to the door.
“Who is it?” You asked, loud enough to be heard but only barely.
“It’s us.” Immediately recognizing the voice, you put the safety on your gun before slipping it into the pocket of the sweats that you had on before you opened the door, Yoongi and Jungkook standing there shivering.
“Come in, come in,” you instructed them, moving back so that they’d have room to shuffle inside. “Are you guys ok?”
“A little exhausted, but we’re here,” Yoongi shrugged.
“We would’ve gotten here sooner but the car that we were in ran out of gas so we had to hurry and steal another one,” Jungkook said.
“Damn. What about Namjoon, Jin, and Hobi?” You wondered. “Have you heard from them?”
“Yeah, but they’re not coming here,” Yoongi started. “They ran into some roadblocks so they decided to go to the safe house in Mount Kumgang.”
“The mountains?” You replied and Yoongi nodded.
“Also, Jin hyung went down,” Jungkook revealed and your eyes widened.
“Are you serious?!” You exclaimed and Jungkook nodded.
“When they ran into the road blocks, they got surrounded so Jin hyung got out of the car to distract the police which gave Hobi hyung and Namjoon hyung time to get away,” Jungkook explained.
“Damn it,” you sighed as you crossed your arms over your chest. “Have you guys heard from Jimin then?”
“Heard from him?” Jungkook wondered, his eyes wide with surprise at your question.
“He’s not here with you?” Yoongi questioned and you shook your head. A weary look was shared between the three of you then; for Jungkook and Yoongi, it was because of the realization that Jimin had gone off on his own; for you, it was the realization that they hadn’t heard from him, and that was when you felt your heart sink into the pit of your stomach.

First lines meme
Ooo! 😲 thank you for the tag @justanotherfoolhere !!
Rules: List the first lines of your last 20 stories (if you have less than 20 just list them all!) See if there are any patterns. Choose your favorite opening lines. Tag 10 authors!
I’m incredibly shy so if you would like to do this, I tag you!!
Ah I have some old stories from old fandoms (or side fandoms I should say), but as for MHA, most of my stories are just wips right now. I have approximately 5-6 stories in the works right now, however 3 are just thoughts yet, not written out, 1-2 are RP’s with another person that I’m not sure if I have the ability to share yet 😅, 1 is....extremely, well...NSFW 🙈 even the first line asfkgkka I’m not going to do that one, you’ll just have to read it on ao3 when it’s done 😖
However! I do have a massive story that’s been in the works for over a year now (atm it’s around 57,800 words), I’ve actually gotten stuck on it half way through and a friend is helping me by rping those parts with me. If anyone remembers from forever ago, I talked about writing a story about Toshinori actually becoming addicted to his painkillers, and overdosing during class, that’s this story. I have a good chunk of this written, so to make up for my lack of stories, I’ll post a few paragraphs of the beginning! (I hope that’s ok! 🙈)
((I should note, I don’t normally rp, the ones I’ve done are just with a close friend or two))
So, here’s a few paragraphs of what I’ve been calling “Painkiller” under the read more...
Eyelids sluggishly rise. Each blink seems to be getting slower and slower. And he’s still talking. How the soft furred mammal at the front of their table can speak for hours at a time without so much as a break is a superhuman feat. Of course, the principal isn’t human at all, which probably is how he can accomplish it.
Black eyes glance at the clock on the wall across from him. 1:50 p.m. This was supposed to be a short meeting. A quick briefing on the school’s protection and security upgrades. This is also the time to give feedback on how the procedures seem to be working. It had started during their lunch break at 12:30 p.m., and it’s still dragging on. Snipe as well as a few other teachers that have classes to teach at this time are absent, but the rest of the available staff are present.
Shota massages his eyelids, refraining from gritting his teeth against the stinging, and promptly tipping his head back to apply his eye drops. They’re almost gone, he’ll have to get a refill from Recovery Girl. Shota lowers his head once again, black locks falling back over his face.
He’s exhausted. A full night on patrol and then the morning teaching at UA. He’s done for the day after this, and all he wants is to sleep. He’ll still have to check in with Eri to be sure she’s been ok throughout the day, before he can collapse on his bed.
Eri was still adjusting to living at UA, but seemed to be doing well so far. When he couldn’t be with her, she had another teacher or staff member watching her. Thankfully, there hasn’t been an instance with her quirk going out of control. Yet. He hopes to keep it that way. She’s just starting school, but slowly. She has a lot of learning in just living before she can worry much about academic intelligence. But Shota has no concerns of her being able to catch up to her age and grade level. Eri’s proven to be smarter than they’ve given her credit for. Perhaps wiser in some ways than a kid her age should have to be.
Shota usually teachers her in his spare time. His hero work has decreased due to his stacking responsibilities. Last night was the first in close to a month, and he can feel in his sore muscles that it’s been too long. Thankfully, he can rest tonight, but if Nezu didn’t hurry this conference up he’s going to be pulling another all-nighter. The temptation to pull out his sleeping bag and snooze in the chair he sits is becoming harder to resist.
Shota’s gaze moves across the room at the other occupants.
Mic sits to his right, closest to Nezu. The man’s listening, but one can see the bored expression on his face as he picks at his painted nails.
Midnight across the table seems a bit more focused. Her arms rest on her lap as she listens to the white animal, adding in her thoughts every now and then.
Cementoss and Ectoplasm sit next to her, both relatively silent.
Shota’s eyes flick to the chair next to his left before moving to the closed door at the room’s entrance.
Yagi had been here as well. A few minutes ago, he had politely excused himself from the room and had yet to reappear.
Maybe he made a break for it, Shota thinks with envy. Though he knows it’s a lie.
It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence for the Number One Hero to duck out of meetings and public places for short periods of time. No one questioned him on it, assuming he had business calls or the like. He was All Might after all, and surely a very busy man.
But now the Symbol of Peace is dead, and still the brief intermissions continue. In fact, they’re increasing in frequency. Shota has high doubts about the possibility of impromptu hero phone calls from the man’s agency, but doesn’t dwell on it.
Everyone, even All Might, has secrets. It isn’t Shota’s job to nose his way into everyone’s personal life.
His sore eyes blink in mild surprise when the door he had been focusing on slides open, and the man in his thoughts shyly stoops his head under the doorway to enter back into the room. Yagi closes the door again and takes his place beside Shota, moving quietly to attempt not to draw attention to himself. But it’s a wasted effort; whenever he’s present, all eyes immediately are drawn to him. Plus, it’s hard to ignore a 7 foot man.
Shota turns away, attempting to refocus on whatever their eccentric principal is speaking about.
For a while, the meeting draws on as usual, Nezu doing most of the talking and the other teachers providing input as they see fit. The way the conversation is leading, it seems like things are starting to wrap up. Finally. The last class of the day starts at 2:20 p.m. and that doesn’t leave much leeway room for any teachers that need prep time.
Shota leans back with a silent sigh through his nose, crossing his arms. The sooner this is over, the sooner he can go check on Eri back at the dorms, and the sooner he can crash. Thinking about anything other is too hard to concentrate on.
Through his sleepy fog, something moves in his peripheral vision. Instinctually looking over to his left, he notices the lanky man next to him has wilted in posture, much like a plant with no water. The haze in Shota’s brain clears only slightly, having something more interesting to observe.
Now actually taking the time to study the other, Shota notices the haphazard blonde mane looks messier than normal. Yagi’s long, sinewy hands are placed comfortably on his lap, though a subtle tremble is running through his frame. A sheen of sweat is starting to form above his brow. Though his eyes remain fixed on the principal, the unfocused haze in the cyan pools gives Shota the impression Yagi isn’t paying attention. The normally bright irises are dull and almost completely hidden in the surrounding black sclera.
He looks pale. Must be sick. Shota lets his attention drift back to Nezu. Toshinori Yagi is a grown adult; he can take care of himself. If he doesn’t feel well, he’ll go home. These thoughts stubbornly go through Shota’s mind just before another pushes itself in.
He remembers the tall man entering the teacher’s lounge only two days after the Kamino incident. Yagi had been completely wrapped in bandages, bruises and stitched up cuts littering his body, and one arm was in a sling. Everyone had expected him to still be in the hospital, and not back to UA for at least a week, maybe two.
Shota recalls the other teachers chastising the ex-hero and trying to convince him to go home, to rest. Yagi had politely smiled, one that made Shota’s teeth grind at the obvious artificial gesture. The smile didn’t reach his eyes, only present to soothe their worries. But Yagi thanked them for their concern. Even then, their coworkers had tried to assist him in any way possible. He had always insisted he was fine, respectfully refusing their help. It became hard for their colleagues to accept when it was obvious the injured man was struggling with even the simplest tasks.
Recovery Girl had made frequent appearances, much to Yagi’s dismay. It was unfortunate his body couldn’t handle her quirk, and he had to heal naturally, so she made it her job to monitor him. She didn’t even try to deny she was only there to check in on him, to make sure he was behaving himself, at least to the miniscule level she could except from Toshinori. She was always disappointed, and expressed so outright. But she could do little to sway him in his own self-care habits, and he always waved her off with another deceptive smile.
If he had forced his straining, overworked, body to comply during that time, what’s stopping him from teaching his class in 15 minutes?
More movement next to him puts Shota’s thoughts on pause. Dark eyes flick over to the older man, being as inconspicuous about his spying as possible. With the black hair covering his face, most people probably can’t tell where he’s looking anyway, and he’s not moving his head at all.
One of Yagi’s arms slowly lifts to his face, resting his sharp elbow on the table. The large and scarred hand covers his mouth, baring his bony wrist and too-thin arm as his sleeve slides down a few inches. The pose might be meant to look like he’s simply resting his chin, gaze still locked on Nezu like he’s listening intently. But sitting this close to him, Shota can see how the tremors in his body have increased, sweat starting to run down the deep crevices of his face in tiny rivers. The glazed over look in those black eyes has been replaced by one subtly emitting a fight or flight expression.
Shota frowns. He’s gonna barf. The pro briefly wonders if he should use his capture weapon to grab the trash can in the corner of the room to prevent a mess on the carpet, or worse, the table.
Before he can act, Yagi’s chair abruptly slides backwards as the retired hero wrenches his body up, fumbles with the door handle, and rushes out of the room as quickly as his unstable limbs can carry him. He barely manages to slam the sliding door shut behind him before he’s out of everyone’s sight, the hasty squeaks of his shoes on the tile floor growing more and more distant.
Nezu pauses at the sudden outburst, all the room’s occupants staring at where All Might had disappeared. The feel of concern weighs heavily in the atmosphere.
Although Yagi had often left before, he always excused himself quietly or snuck away when the attention wasn’t on him. Something this dramatic has never happened.

And we’ll leave it there for now! This is still a wip remember, so things may be changed here and there, but I hope this makes up for my lack of other stories!

Security Threat
A chill had set in the air over Queens making Peter pull his jacket closer as he made his way through the cities streets. Happy was out for a few days because of a nasty cold so Peter had to make it to the tower on his own accord.
Normally Peter would change into his suit and swing to the tower, but he wanted to see the city up close. He wanted to see the streets he had sworn to protect, the people he would fight for until his last breath.
The streets were chaotic, people rushing to and from destinations, bumping into one another on their way. To the outside eye, it looked messy and disorganised, but to Peter, it was home.
"Sorry," Peter mumbled for the 50th time as he bumped into another person.
He had passed Delmars on his way to the tower and decided to pick up a bite to eat, pulling his bag to the side he unzipped it and grabbed out the sandwich. Pulling back the wrapper he was about to take a bite when a scream from a few blocks away caught his attention.
Letting out a breath he stuffed the sandwich back into his bag and quickly ducked into a nearby ally. Pulling out his suit he quickly got dressed before leaping onto the apartment roof and towards the scream.
Peering down into the ally he spotted 3 men cornering a woman.
"Hey, sweetheart I believe you have something that belongs to us," A guy with blonde hair and a scar across his cheek smirked.
The woman in question pulled a rather expensive looking bag closer to her.
"No. I believe this bag belongs to me, maybe if you went out and got a decent job instead of hiding down alleyways and selling drugs like some delusional wanker, you'd be able to buy one of these for yourself."
The man growled and quickly started to advance on her. Peter quickly shot a web at the guy's arm and knocked him into the wall. Jumping off the roof he did a flip mid-air, landing in his famous pose. OK maybe the flip was a bit much, but just because you're fighting bad guys doesn't mean you can't look awesome while doing it.
The other two turned their attention to Peter and ran at him. Peter dodged the first guy's punch and quickly webbed him to the wall.
"Jesus guys, I mean the lady does have a point. Maybe you should take up boxing, that way you'd know not to leave yourself so open." Peter laughed, kneeing the second guy in the stomach and webbing him to the ground.
Peter kneeled next to him and smirked. "This is usually where I drop my famous Spiderman line, do you have a pen?"
A pickling sensation at the base of his neck made him whip around, only to see the third guy get completely knocked out with a punch to the face.
His eyes went wide and he let out a shocked laugh. "Holy cow!" He turned to the woman who had just knocked the guy out cold.
"That was awesome!"
The woman smiled and held out her hand. "Anna."
Peter shook her hand. "Spiderman."
"Yeah, I figured. Not many people run around Queens wearing a red and blue skin-tight suit."
"Actually you'd be surprised, I passed someone like that the other day, it was like looking in a mirror." He smirked.
"Uh-huh, and how old were they? Six?" Anna raised an eyebrow.
"Mid 20s actually, but nice try, you were only 19 years off."
She laughed. "Well I best be on my way, thank you for saving me."
"Oh I don't know, I think you had it handled."
Giving him one last smile she hurried out of the alleyway. Probably on her way home.
"Karen can you notify the police," Peter asked turning around and webbing the third guy to the ground in case he woke up, which given the punch he just took, Peter doubted it very much.
"Already done," Karen answered.
Peter's head snapped up as he heard the police sirens.
"Well that's my queue, have fun in jail. Say hello to everyone for me."
With that Peter quickly webbed himself out of the ally grabbing his backpack off the roof as he went. Swinging through the city he stopped about a block from the tower and dropped down into another alleyway. Seriously the number of alleyways in the city is ridiculous.
Changing into his normal clothes Peter stuffed his suit back into a secret pocket hidden in his bag, squishing it in beside his books and his long-forgotten sandwich.
When he made it to the tower he couldn't help but stare in awe at the magnificent building. He loved the way the sun shone across it, its rays reflecting off the windows making it hard to look at. Inside was just as awesome, people coming to and from elevators up and downstairs, all of them focused on their next project or the files they had to send or sort or sign. Each person had a specific role and different things going through their heads and it always fascinated Peter.
He could watch these people all day and not know a fraction of what's going on in their life or through their head or what they're feeling, except for what they show on their face.
Walking over to the front desk he smiled at the receptionist. "Hi Susan, how's your day been going?" He leaned on the counter resting his hands on top as he waited for her answer.
"It's the same as every day, tiring, people coming to and from and needing things straight away, no manners. But it's always nice to see your friendly face stop in, it's the highlight of my day."
Peter smiled and blushed slightly. "Are there any files that need to be taken to Miss Potts?"
Susan looked to her left and Peter followed her gaze to see 3 files for Pepper. "Yes, these three just arrived, I was planning on taking them up after a finish sending this email." She gestured to her computer screen.
"Well how about I take them up, I'm going up there anyway and it would take some of the work off your back." Peter offered.
She smiled softly. "You really are an angel Pete, Mr Stark's lucky to have you." She squeezed his hand and placed the files in front of him.
Taking off his bag he put the files in between his books so they wouldn't get squashed and zipped it back up, slinging it over his shoulder.
"Well I best be off, don't want to keep Mr Stark waiting,"
"Bye Pete."
He turned and started walking over to Mr Starks private elevator, he was about a meter away from it when someone stepped in front of him.
Lifting his head slightly Peter saw a man probably in his mid-30s, he had combed brown hair and was wearing a suit with a badged pinned to the pocket that read SECURITY.
"Where do you think you're going?" The man questioned crossing his arms.
"Who are you?" Peter frowned, not recognising him.
"I'm Jack, second in command when the boss is away. Now I'll ask again, where are you going?" He took a step forward, clearly trying to intimate Peter.
"Oh," Peter held out his hand. "I'm Peter, Tony Starks personal intern."
Jack let out a laugh ignoring Peter's hand. "Yeah nice try kid, get out."
Peter moved his hand back to his side. "I'm being serious."
"Oh yeah? Then where's your badge."
Peter froze. He didn't have a badge. Not that he'd need one anyway. Mr Stark had added him to the system, so like himself and Pepper, Peter didn't need a badge, he was free to go anywhere in the tower.
"I-I don't have one," He stuttered out.
"Oh how convenient, you're Tony Starks personal intern yet you don't have a badge."
"I don't have one because I don't need one," Peter said more confidently.
"Kid, the only two people who don't need a badge are Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. There is no way that they would give a 12-year-old access to the entire building."
Peter rolled his eyes. "I'm 15."
"I don't care, get out before I drag you out."
"Look if you don't believe me I'll show you." Peter started to walk around the man to the elevator before he was forcefully pushed back.
Peter was only just able to catch himself from face-planting into the ground, unfortunately, he dropped his bag in the process and it was now laying at Jack's feet. Bending down said man picked it up.
Peters blood ran cold. His suit. Shit, this wasn't good. "Uh, thanks." Peter reached forward to grab his bag but it was quickly pulled away from his grasp.
Jack eyed Peter suspiciously. "Why so nervous? It's just a bag?"
"Uh my uh my-my phones in there, just want to make sure it not uh broken or anything." Peter cursed himself for stuttering.
Jack narrowed his eyes at Peter, pulling the bag closer he brought his hand to the side and started to unzip it.
Peter's eyes widened. "There's really nothing in there! Just some school books and a sandwich!" He said frantically, but Jack didn't look convinced.
Peter held his breath as he unzipped the bag the full way. Reaching his hand in Jack rummaged through Peters things.
"What the hell is this!?" Peter's heart dropped, he found the suit. But to Peter's surprise Jack didn't pull out a red and blue suit, instead, he pulled out three files. Peppers files.
"Where did you get these?" Jack asked angrily.
Peter was so relieved and surprised that he couldn't even form an answer.
"Did you steal them?" Jack questioned, advancing on Peter quickly, making the boy step back until he hit the side of the reception desk.
"N-no I-" By now everyone's attention was on them.
"What were you planning to do with them?!"
"Nothing!" Peter said quickly, holding up his arms in an innocent gesture.
"Don't lie to me!!" Jack spat, quickly grabbing hold of Peter's hands he spun him around and slammed his head onto the desk.
Peter's head throbbed as his vision blurred and he faintly heard someone scream. He felt his hands being pulled behind him and restrained with something, probably handcuffs.
"What on earth do you think you're doing!?" Peter lifted his head up slightly to see Susan standing from her chair and staring wide-eyed at Peter with a mixture of shock and fear in her eyes.
"Miss this is none of your concern," Jack answered lifting Peter's head of the desk and wrapping his hand around the back of his neck.
Peter blinked a couple of times, he could feel something wet running down the side of his head. 'There must be a cut'
"Like hell, it isn't, let him go right now!"
"You have no authority here!" Jack yelled. "So I suggest you mind your own business before I drag you out of this building too." With that Jack started to push Peter towards the door, his fingers digging into the back of Peter's neck causing him to wince. As Jack reached out to open the doors they suddenly locked.
"What the hell?" Peter heard Jack mutter. "Friday open these doors!" He demanded.
"I'm afraid you don't have that authority," A voice said behind them. Turning around Peter's eyes met Mr Starks.
"You ok kid?" He asked worry clear in his voice.
"Y-yeah I'm fine." Peter nodded.
Mr Starks gaze then turned to Jack and if looks could kill he would be nothing but a pile of ash.
"What do you think you are doing with my kid?"
"I- Mr Stark, what are you doing here?" Jack stuttered.
"Coming to get my kid, now I'll ask again, what do you think you're doing?"
"H-he stole these files," Jack answered lifting up the files in his hand.
"Did you see him steal them?"
"N-no."
"Then why do you think he stole them."
"I- well because he's just a kid, so he shouldn't have access to such things."
"And yet you decide to arrest him, injuring him in the process. Peter has full access to everything in this tower, and I know for a fact that he would have said so. So in my understanding you completely ignored him because you thought yourself above him and refused to believe otherwise and then you decide to arrest him with no proof, harming him in doing so. You're fired."
"What!? You can't do that!"
"Actually believe it or not I can, because I own this building. I have the paperwork if you want to double-check." Tony raised an eyebrow.
Jack glared at the man. "You know what Stark, you can keep your useless intern, this job was shit anyway." Taking off his badge he threw it on the ground before turning towards the door, reaching out his hand he went to leave but forgetting it was locked smashed his face into the glass instead.
Peter stifled a laugh, but he heard a few erupt behind him, including Mr Starks.
Jack's cheeks reddened as he pulled away, bring his hand up to hold his nose as tears welled in his eyes from the impact.
"Friday, unlock the doors." Mr Stark called out. A click was heard as the doors unlocked.
Quickly Jack pushed on the door again, only to smash his face harder in the door. Mr Stark burst out laughing along with many other people, resting his hands on his knees he tried to catch his breath. "You have to pull it." He wheezed out.
Jack growled before pulling open the door and running out. Mr Stark stood up straight and wiped the tears from his eyes, walking over to Peter his eyes quickly landed on his cut.
"Jesus kid, come on let's get you cleaned up."
"Uh do you have a key for these?" Peter asked turning to show Mr Stark the handcuffs.
"I do," They both turned to see Susan standing there with a key, coming closer she quickly unlocked the handcuffs.
Peter brought his hands in front of him and rubbed his wrists slightly. "Thank you."
"You're welcome, Pete." She smiled.
"What's your name?" Mr Stark asked.
"Susan."
"Well Susan, you're getting a promotion."
"W-what?" She stuttered.
"I saw what you did, I had Friday play the footage on the way down. I'll get Miss Potts to email you the details." He smiled.
"I- thank you, thank you so much." She gave them both a wide smile before making her way back over to her desk.
Turning to Mr Stark Peter smiled at him. "Where are you gonna put her."
"I was thinking about making her Peppers personal assistant, do you think she'd be up for it?" Mr Stark smirked.
"Definitely," Peter nodded.
Mr Stark grinned before wrapping his arm around Peter's shoulders and leading him towards the elevator.
"Now mister, let's go get you cleaned up."

Veronica x MC tinder!au
I headcanon Veronica to look like Barbara Lopez, and as you can see this headcanon was inspired by this tweet.
Summary: in which you are paired with Veronica for a project and she doesn't respond to your emails but you match with her on tinder. The both of you find each other attractive but you're both gay disasters. Also in this au the MC doesn't meet Poppy on her first day of school, so they don't know about the top 3 girls of Belvoire. (Where poppy is a switch (fite me), Veronica is a top.)
Warnings: swear words, and maybe toothache inducing fluff? Thigh riding smut.
Taglist: @somewillwin @belvoiresqueenbee @origmansello @clownery-is-a-new-personality @kamilahtrash @poppysminion @poppysimp @captain-hanadeleine @poppysmc @iiizdumb @uselesslesbianfr @scattered-to-the-winds @idiot-justidiot @toyhenoctus @coldbatfriendroad
So it begins in one of your compulsory classes, where you have to be partnered up for a big project, like 20-30% of your final grade.
Cue your professor paring you up with someone who you've never seen before in class, and you're confused because wtf??? Who is this Veronica Lombardi person??? And why is everyone staring at you with mixed reactions, some look jealous while some look like they feel bad for you.
After class, you make you way to your dorm room and you ask Zoey if she knows Veronica Lombardi and that's how you find out about the whole ranking system in Belvoire. You learn that Veronica is at the number 3 spot as one of the most popular girls on campus. You're not really interested because in all honesty it sounds too much like high school and you're already over it.
Considering that she was going to be your partner for the project, you decide to email her so that the both of you can divide the work equally, as well as ask if she has any days where she is free so that you can discuss the project in person.
It's been a week and you still don't have a response, and you're starting to think that you'll have to do the project alone. Hopefully your professor will take that into consideration once she marks you paper.
You try to start to work on the project but you're quick to realise that you're bored, so in your frustrated state, you open tinder hoping to find an outlet for your stress.
Imagine your surprise when you're matched with your project partner, who messages you. It reads "Sup babe, what are you doing tonight?"
You feel your blood pressure rise as you type angrily. "I'M DOING OUR JOINT PROJECT YOU BITCH!"
She replies with the emojis "😤😒" alongside a gif of someone saying "Rude".
You're about to lose it when another message catches your attention. "Are you from Sociology 101? I haven't attended any of the lectures, it's boring af. But you know what wouldn't be boring? We could hook up 😜" it reads.
"Un-fucking-believable" you mutter to yourself as you read the message. 'Who the hell does she think she is?' - you think to yourself, annoyed.
"Are you seriously flirting with me right now?" you text as you feel angrier each passing second.
The only response you get is a selfie of Veronica smiling cheekily at the camera, which is followed by a message saying "I promise I'd be more fun than sociology. 😉"
You barely resist the temptation of pulling your hair out and respond with "look, I get it you're rich, but just because you can get away with not doing the work, it doesn't mean that I can." Veronica looks at your response and can't help but feel a pang of guilt.
Feeling guilty, Veronica messages you. It says "look babe, I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you, we can meet up and do the project together. And maybe when we finish we can do something more fun? 😜😉"
Letting out a resigned sigh you begrudgingly ask for her address and she's all too happy to respond. "I live on campus, I'm part of the Zetas so just walk over and I'll meet you outside."
Freshening up, you make yourself look presentable and you start to make your way to the sorority house. You're surprised to see someone waiting outside, and you assume the person to be Veronica.
As you get closer you're taken aback because of Veronica. There she was in all her glory. I mean you knew she looked attractive judging by the photo she sent you, but pictures can't exactly compare to seeing the real thing.
You can't help but think that Veronica is gorgeous, I mean with that face she could be a supermodel and ohh my god she has legs that go on for days.
Snapping out of your daze, you just see Veronica flashing you a charming smile.
You weren't the only one checking the other person out though, Veronica couldn't help but think that you were cute, especially in that crop top and varsity jacket. 'She's smart and easy on the eyes to boot, this will be fun.' - she thinks as she turns on the charm, ready to seduce.
You approach her, anger coming back as you poke your finger on her shoulder whilst saying "I'm so fucking mad at you, I could have finished the project already but your ass was MIA, so I couldn't start."
Veronica winces at each poke, irritated, she tugs on your wrist and pulls you close. "You could have looked for me personally you know." she says cockily.
Your anger dissipates a little because she had a point and with a resigned sigh you say "Fair enough, still doesn't make up for the fact that you didn't reply to my emails."
Veronica just rolls her eyes at you. "Well we could stand here and argue or we can go inside and actually work on the project." she says sarcastically.
As you make you way inside the sorority house, you can't help but feel amazed by the expensive furniture and decorations. It looked like a house fit for royalty and if you're being honest you're a bit jealous because they get to live in luxury.
You follow Veronica to her room and you're immediately surprised by what you see. Her room is big, however it is decorated modestly, and it's much simpler than what you imagined. The atmosphere feels a bit awkward and you make conversation by complimenting her room. "Your room seems really cozy."
Veronica looks at you, a soft smile graces her features and she says "Thanks." She puts a stray strand of her behind her ears and you can't help but admire her.
"If taking a picture of my room would've gotten you to come over, I would have done so already." she flirts.
You can't help giggle and you're relieved that the awkward atmosphere has been replaced with a comfortable silence.
Your giggle attracts Veronica's attention and her cheeks flush because who gave you the right to be so cute.
The two of you start to work on the project and you're pleasantly surprised to learn that Veronica understands the syllabus despite the fact that she hasn't attended any of the lectures. The two of you get a lot more work done than what you expected and before either of you realise, it's already dark outside.
You feel your eyes drooping as you try to stay awake, and you notice how dark it is and you're about to tell Veronica that you're about to leave when she says "It's already dark outside, you should probably stay it's not safe to be walking around in the middle of the night."
You mull it over and decide to stay. 'Fuck it, I'm too tired to walk back' - you think to yourself as you nod your head to Veronica.
Veronica walks over to her closet and pull out pyjamas, which she hand over to you as well as a spare toothbrush. "You should go and clean up, you can sleep on the bed." she says kindly. You raise an eyebrow at her. "This better not be a plan to get me to sleep with you Lombardi." you say jokingly. She just laughs at your joke and tells you to clean up, you're too tired to argue back so you concede.
Fast-forward to the next morning, you wake up in someone's arms and you snuggle closer until you realise. 'WTF, why am I being cuddled and where the fuck am I?' - you think to yourself slightly panicking. Your eyes open and you turn around to see that Veronica was asleep, you try to get out of her grip but she just pulls you closer whilst murmuring in her sleep.
You don't want to wake her up because she looks so comfortable and at ease and you know that you're stuck there until she wakes up.
Veronica wakes up and she feels something or someone in her arms, she then remembers that you slept over, not in the way she wanted but hey she's not complaining, especially since you were cutely staring at her with a confused expression.
Deciding to tease you, she plants a kiss on your lips and you freeze. A blush creeping on your face and Veronica was about to apologise for going too far when you cut her off by kissing her back. She could get used to this she thinks.
She pulls away and notices the blush on your cheeks. "I thought you didn't like me Hughes?" she says mischieviously, and you just look away.
Realising that her arms weren't around you anymore, you get up and Veronica whines at the lack of physical contact and warmth, you narrowly avoid being pulled back down onto the bed.
You just shoot her a soft smile and say "Thanks for letting me stay over, I'm gonna go get changed and leave, I'll see you later."
You quickly get changed and as you leave her room, you can feel your heart pounding in your chest because you can't stop thinking about the kiss you shared with Veronica. You continue to zone out for the rest of the day, wondering what it would be like to kiss her again.
The next time the two of you meet, Veronica is more straightforward when it comes to flirting, and you're always left a flustered and blushing mess. Veronica thinks you look so cute, especially since she's the reason why you're flustered. The two of you become friends and you exchange numbers because using tinder to communicate was getting annoying.
You're surprised when Veronica messages you with random memes at god awful hours and you can't even get mad because they make you laugh and it becomes something you look forward to each day.
That's when you start to develop feelings for Veronica, and you're not sure what to do because she's flirty with everyone and you're not sure if she likes you back.
Veronica invites you to a frat party, and as soon as you get there a few people introduce themselves to you. One of the frat boys tries to flirt with you and you're immediately pulled back by Veronica as she says "Fuck off Luis, she with me." Your eyes widen as you realise what Veronica said.
You don't have the chance to ask what she means as she drags you off to a room, where she immediately kisses you, hand finding it's way down to your hips and gripping it possessively. She continues to kiss you, each kiss deeper and rougher than the last. The barrage of kisses only stop due to both of you needing to breathe.
Your chest heaves as you feel Veronica lean in to whisper "You're mine, and I don't like it when people touch what's mine." You feel shivers down your back as she says that.
Veronica locks the door and she pulls you towards the bed where she sits and pull you in for another kiss. You're pulled onto her lap as her lips trail down your jaw to the base of your neck, alternating between biting and sucking to leave marks. You can feel a wave of arousal make it's way down to your core, and a small groans escapes your lips.
Spurred on by your reaction, Veronica starts to unbutton your shirt, quickly taking it off with deft hands. She starts to grope your breasts as she unhooks your bra with her other hand. Lips finding it's way to nipples, and you can't stop yourself from moaning when her teeth grazes against it.
Instinctively, your hips starts to jerk against her thigh and it quickly catches Veronica's attention as she looks at you with narrowed eyes and pupils blown.
She pulls your hips down flush against her thigh, and leaning in she whispers "Grind." and you're quick to obey her as she sucks and bites on your shoulder and collarbone, making sure to leave marks on each patch of skin she can reach.
You slowly start to grind against her, and in order to help you out, she starts to move her thigh against your centre, working you up faster and you let out long breathy moans and whimpers at the friction against your centre. Spurred on by your reaction, Veronica uses her fingers to touch and play with your clit, and this makes you moan out her name "V, that feels so good.", and she can't get enough.
She grinds her thigh faster and she starts to use her finger to help you climax. Your body starts to convulse and your back arches as you reach your climax. Veronica's fingers helping you ride out your orgasm. A loud moan escapes your mouth and for a moment your vision turns white, head empty except the pleasure you feel. Your chest heaves as you try to catch your breath.
As soon as you regain your bearings, you can see the smug look Veronica has, and you do nothing but roll your eyes as you say "Yeah, yeah that felt really good, stop being so smug." Veronica's eyes just lights up as she raises her arms in mock surrender and says "Hey, you said it not me."
"So, I guess this means we're dating?" you ask shyly, as your cheeks flush. Veronica just kisses you softly and says "Yeah."
That's how the two of you start dating.
A/N: I saw that there was a lack of Veronica x MC content so yeah enjoy, and please reply if you want me to write a dating Veronica headcanon like I did for Poppy. Thanks for reading, bye.

Bruised, Not Broken - CHP 1
i just realised that i never posted this here?? so here’s my kinda weird Assassin!Bucky x Toni modern AU that came to me in the shower and im still figuring out as a i go along. the first two chapters are done (and out on ao3) so i’ll be posting chapter 2 in like a day or two, but after that - updates will sync up here and on ao3
//
chapter 1/? || also on ao3
//
James is just about to fall asleep, can feel his eyelids getting heavier and his body slowing down, when his phone starts ringing on his chest, startling him back to wakefulness. He fumbles for it a couple of times, swiping his thumb over the half-shattered screen and bringing it to his ear.
“Barnes,” he grunts through the phone, and the voice he hears trinkle through the static makes him sit upright. He wasn’t ever accepting to hear from him again.
“James,” the man on the other end of the line says, “I need you to do something for me, and I need you to not ask any questions.”
“I wasn’t aware we were on speaking terms,” James replies carefully, trying to keep the curiosity out of his voice, “This must be a pretty big favour.”
“This one isn’t for me,” the man says shortly, “There’s a truck parked in the alley on the corner of 5th and Main. There’s precious cargo inside. I need you to get to the truck and drive it the hell out of town. Don’t look back, and don’t stop for anything.”
“You expect me to uproot my life, and I’m not even allowed to ask what’s going on?” James demands, even though he already knows he’s going to say yes. He wouldn’t call if it wasn’t important, if there wasn’t anybody else who could do this except for James.
“You trusted me once,” the man says, after a pregnant silence, “There was a time when I would tell you to jump, and you would say ‘how high?’. Someone’s life is at stake, so can I count on you or not?”
James surveys his apartment. He doesn’t have a lot of clothes, they could probably all be stuffed in a large duffel bag if he tries hard enough. His plates are all plastic, and there’s some leftover take out in the fridge.
Rent’s due in a couple of days, but somehow, James doesn’t think his landlord will be all that upset if he sees an empty apartment. Or that surprised.
“I can be there in 30 minutes,” James concedes, “I just need to get some stuff together.”
“Bring your guns,” the man says, “and don’t be late.” He ends the call before James can come up with something smart to say in response. He manfully resists the urge to throw his phone against the wall, if only because there are people who still need to be able to contact him; and pushes himself to his feet.
The duffel bag is stuffed under his bed, right next to where the guns are taped, and it’s quick work to get them both out. James takes a couple of seconds to check the magazine in the handgun before stuffing it in the crook of the back of his jeans; and then feels around for the extra clips he knows he has stashed somewhere.
His clothes are strewn all over the one-bedroom apartment, and while James would love to just stuff them into the duffel bag and call it a day - he takes the time to fold each other, smoothing out the wrinkles as best he can. He’s not particularly vain, not anymore anyway - but his Ma drilled into him the need to keep decent clothes, and the Army hammered it home.
Before he steps out of the apartment, he takes a second to look at his reflection in the mirror, rubbing an absent hand over the beard that’s grown over the past couple of months. He debates taking the time to shave but decides against it. He’s going to an alley; appearances don’t matter.
He grabs his toothbrush and places it on top of his clothes, before zipping up the duffel bag and swinging it over his shoulders. He taps on his phone screen to check the time, and he’s got about 15 minutes before he’ll be late. If he walks quickly, he can be there in 10.
James is at the threshold when he takes one last look at his apartment. It’s easily one of the most decrepit places he’s ever lived, even counting his days in the barracks in Afghanistan; but it’s been home for the past four months and he’s oddly loath to leave it.
With a sigh, he pulls the door and jimmies the key into the lock; clicking it shut. He slips the key into the fake plant pot poised outside that Natasha gave him as a housewarming gift, because she thought it would make the apartment homely; and then swings over the railings, bracing himself with his hands when he hits the ground.
His apartment was only two floors from the ground floor, and it’s late enough that there’s nobody around to watch his stunts. Besides, he’s on a clock.
//
He sees the truck the minute he turns into the alley, but there doesn’t appear to be anybody waiting for him next to it. On instinct, James’ hand rests on his gun, while the other fishes out his phone to make sure he isn’t late.
It’s dark, almost impossibly so, but James’ eyes are used to darker, and they adjust quickly. A quick sweep of the alley confirms his suspicions - that he’s the only one here, and he resists swearing out loud, if only because it will draw unnecessary attention to himself.
Letting go of his gun, he makes his way over to the truck, peering at the back to see if he can make out what the precious cargo is. There’s a bundled-up duvet stuffed into the back of the truck, placed in a way that you wouldn’t even notice it was there unless you were looking for it.
James braces his hands onto the edge of the truck and hauls himself up so that he can get a closer look, walking softly so as to not jostle the cargo. He crouches down when he’s close enough; and with the steady fingers, pulls at the duvet to reveal whatever’s inside.
There’s a girl, no, a woman, who can’t be older than 20, covered in bruises and contorted in an impossible position. James is going to kill him the next time they run into each other; their past relationship be damned. Hesitantly, James brings his fingers to her neck, relaxing slightly when he feels a weak pulse. He checks her eyes next, finger catching on the underside and pulling it down to reveal glazed pupils; almost vacant.
There’s a distinct possibility that if James looks closer at her neck; he’s going to find a tiny puncture wound that resembles a needle. He’s definitely going to kill him the next time he sees him. James might even hunt him down just for the pleasure of the kill.
He pulls his phone out of his pocket and redials the last incoming number, shoving it between his shoulder and crooking his neck - leaving his hands free to peel back more of the duvet while he assesses the woman’s injuries.
He picks up after two rings.
“I don’t do this stuff anymore,” James barks, not even giving him a chance to get a word in edgewise, “I don’t take people out. What the fuck have you gotten me into? She looks like she was the punching bag for an overly enthusiastic MMA fighter. You’re going to tell me what’s going on right now, or I promise you, I will hunt you down.”
“So, you opened the cargo,” the man says in a calm tone, so calm that it infuriates James.
“Yeah, I fucking opened the cargo, and I’m telling you right now - I’m not killing this woman. I don’t care who she is, or what she’s done, I’m done with that life. You’ve got some nerve giving me this kind of job.”
“James,” his voice doesn’t waver in the slightest, “James you’re not there to kill her. You’re there to save her.”
James pauses at that, hands stilling from where they were inspecting the cuts around her thighs, “What do you mean, save her?”
“Look I can’t tell you much, because it’s classified; but we’ve had her and her husband on surveillance for months. You have to believe me when I say if I knew what he was doing to her, that he was beating her; that I would’ve put an end to the op. I only found out two weeks ago though, because she’s good at hiding it. Almost too good.”
“So why is she drugged and in the back of a truck instead of at the police station giving her statement?”
The man sighs, the only indication that he is bothered by this, “I was told that the op was too deep, and she was collateral damage. If he killed her, I was allowed to call the police - but anything short of that, I was just supposed to look the other way; and file it for when he was officially charged. They said that if they started him now, that the rest of the case would fall apart, and it wasn’t worth the risk. Not when we were so close.”
“So, you smuggled her out instead,” James surmised.
“If it makes you feel any better, she asked to be drugged. I explained who you are to her as best I could, but she said that she was in a shit-load of pain, and it was more than likely that she would lash out at you on instinct alone; so, drugging her was the best option.”
“Why didn’t she go to the police?” James asks, even though he already knows the answer, “Why do it like this?”
“She said that he had all the local police in his pocket, and if she went - they’d probably just send her back home with a couple of new bruises.’
//
‘I need her alive,’ he’d said, ‘I need her alive, and well enough to testify when we finally bring down the hammer on her piece of shit husband. Whatever you need to do to keep her alive James, do it.’
He’s been driving for close to six hours now. New York is long gone, and there’s a fair chance that James has crossed state lines. New Jersey was a distinct possibility for a half mile, because nobody worth their salt from New York considers New Jersey a place; but James has more connections in Massachusetts; more people to count on if things go south.
On his lap, the woman stirs slightly, but doesn’t wake. Her head is pillowed on one of his thighs; the duvet covering her up till her shoulders, and she sniffles and moves closer to him; as if chasing his body warmth. Almost on instinct, James reaches out and soothes a hand through her hair, running his fingers against her scalp ever so gently.
She leans into the movement, imperceptibly, and after a couple of minutes of movement; stills again, going limp. Whatever sedatives she’s on must be strong, but it’s clear that if they don’t stop soon; she’s going to wake up and that’s not good for her, or for him.
They’re about an hour out from a motel that James trusts; with an owner who looks the other way for the right kind of money, but he’s worried that she won’t make it that long. When he was moving her from the back of the van, he jostled the duvet, and he knows that she’s got nothing more than a threadbare shirt and her undergarments on. Whatever her situation was, clearly it was bad enough that trousers were too much of a waste; and sedated or not - her body is feeling the effects of the frigid winter air.
“Fuck,” James murmers into the open air, and pulls up on the side of the road. As gentle as possible, he cups his hands under the woman’s arms and brings up to a sitting position; her back resting against his chest. He shifts slightly in the tight spot, shrugging off his jacket and slipping it onto her shoulders.
It isn’t easy tucking her hands into the arms of the jacket without jostling her wounds, but James manages; even though every new bruise makes him want to break something in frustration. His earlier assessment that she was a punching bag isn’t inaccurate, and just from touching her hands, James can estimate multiple fractures around her wrist all the way up to her elbow.
She’s startling beautiful; long brown hair that flows past her shoulders and curls ever so slightly at the end, eyelashes that frame her cheeks and chapped lips with slight teeth indentations; like she bites them a lot. James can’t imagine even raising his voice at her; let alone marking her up the way her husband has - and not for the first time, he curses the fact that he can’t take her to a hospital, or to the proper authorities; who’ll do right by her.
But he can’t, because his job isn’t to get her to the authorities, it’s to keep her alive - and James is going to do it even if it kills him.

Catch My Fall
Part 1 of my 7 part College AU
Summery: Kim Seokjin is a master gamer. Those who play Ms. Pac Man at the local university tremble when they see him approach, and he enjoyed his reputation for two whole years. That is, until you showed up and beat his high score.
Warnings: Cussing, smut (oral, M receiving, unprotected sex)
Word Count: 5,640
A/N: I’m super excited about this AU, and writing the first part just made me even more excited. I hope you guys enjoy, and thank you for reading!! xx
Kim Seokjin was known for being good.
The on campus arcade was his spot, the place he spent his free time. More specifically, Ms. Pac Man.
It wasn’t like he meant to become the best player at Ms. Pac Man on campus, but he couldn’t help himself. He found himself addicted, playing for hours and hours. A few people gathered around, Namjoon being one to watch his friend as he hunched over the arcade game and won every screen with expert precision.
Soon enough, he held the high score. Beating 196 screens and scoring a whopping 676,458 points, he cheered, and so did the people around him.
That was two years ago, however. Yet, nobody has been able to beat his high score yet. Occasionally, he’d check the machine and make sure KSJ was still displayed proudly at the top of the high score list. Every time he walked near the machine, people would talk. He had a few people claim to have come close to beating it, but each time he proved them wrong and again, reigned King.
“I’m just saying,” Jimin spoke, a mouthful of food, gesturing wildly to his friend, “what are you going to do when it is broken? You should try to break it yourself so that people have to try even harder.”
Seokjin tossed a noodle in the direction of Jimin, “I don’t need to worry. It’s been too long, do you really think someone could just randomly show up and beat it now?”
“Yes.” Everyone besides Seokjin at the table said in unison.
They were all very aware of how proud Seokjin was of his score. He was becoming cocky, too confident in himself but with each passing Friday night, someone came closer and closer to inching him off the screen.
Seokjin scoffed, “Come on, have you no faith?”
“We have faith you could beat it again.” Jungkook, the youngest of the group, grinned.
Seokjin stood from his spot at the cafeteria, “My skill outweighs your faith, young one.”
With that, he tossed his garbage into the trash can while his friends watched him strut away. Yoongi groaned, “I don’t want to have to deal with his moping around when someone beats it! I’m his roommate so I’m going to be around it the most!”
“Let’s all hope that it happens after we graduate.” Hoseok said, sipping his coffee and shrugging.
Seokjin entered the arcade the following Friday Night, inhaling deeply and turning to Namjoon with a grin, “You smell that, Joonie?”
“Desperation and sweat?” Namjoon responds, looking around the arcade that was mostly filled with freshman these days. He saw many kids hunched over arcade games, reminding him of his parents at casinos. Maybe there wasn’t as much of a generational gap as he thought.
“No,” Seokjin sighed, “it’s the smell of victory. You see, I thought over what Jimin said and he’s right. I definitely should try to beat my high score before some other chump does. I think I could do it tonight if I wanted to.”
They walked through the arcade as he spoke, waving hello to a few of the employees and a couple of the regulars. Seokjin spotted a few girls standing at Street Fighter II, yelling at each other while they fought. He couldn’t help the smirk on his face while he spotted you, adjusting your beanie while you jumped up and celebrated your win against your friend.
“You gonna work on your score?” Taehyung wrapped his arms around Seokjin and Namjoon, clad in his arcade uniform and keys jingling on his belt. There was benefits to being friends with the night manager, Seokjin could call dibs on a machine and Taehyung would place an out-of-order sign on it until he arrived.
“Yes I am, and I’m going to beat it too. Even if it’s by a hundred points, it’s that much harder to beat.” Seokjin gave Taehyung a wink and patted his head. Continuing through the crowd, Namjoon pouted when Seokjin walked passed Guitar Hero and straight towards his usual machine.
There was a crowd around it, Freshman whispering and gasping when they spotted Seokjin approaching. Seokjin tilted his head, “Ah yes, it is me, KSJ! Run along children and let the master show you how it’s done.”
“We would,” a fresh faced boy turned to Seokjin with a grin, “but KSJ is no longer the master.”
“What?” Seokjin’s eyes glared into the kid, “what do you mean?”
“Well, now SMD has the top score. Looks like you’re a little too late in beating yourself.”
Seokjin pushed the kid aside and studied the screen with an open jaw. Sure enough, displayed just above his initials were the initials SMD with 677,910 right next to it, the tiny pixelated lettering causing a sharp kick to his ego that was so prominent at the beginning of the day. Namjoon couldn’t help the small chuckle to leave his lips, covering his mouth quickly once he saw Seokjin shooting daggers at him.
“Who’s the fuck is SMD?” He shouts, turning around with wild eyes. This caused a small bit of laughter to spread throughout the crowd in front of the machine.
Seokjin looked around, trying desperately to see the person who dethroned him on the game he was best at. After a moment, he tossed his head back and let out an exasperated sigh.
“SMD?” A small voice pushed through the crowd, meeting Seokjin’s eyes.
“Yeah, do you know who he is?” Seokjin recognized you from earlier, taking a split second to admire how your hair framed your face beautifully. Your eyes were bright, laced with innocence, and didn’t look away from him.
“He is me,” You giggled, “also it’s quite dated ideology to assume that only a man could beat your high score-” you leaned around his broad shoulders, “-Mr. KSJ.”
“Well I- That’s not what I-” Seokjin stuttered, only to be cut off by your laugh.
You leaned forward, stepping on the tips of your toes for your lips to meet his ear, “Looks like you’re going to have to work hard to beat me, KSJ.”
With that, Seokjin watched you walk through the crowd with a gaunt expression. Namjoon was the first to break the silence that followed, “You just got your ass handed to you.”
Seokjin ignored the feeling of heat coursing through his body, the burning from where your lips grazed his ear too big of an indication of what kind of distraction you could be to him.
Instantly, Seokjin shook the shock from his face and whipped around, inserting two coins into the slot and hearing the familiar theme tune sing through his ears. His hand gripped the joystick tightly, his knuckles turning white while he moved Ms. Pac Man through each level.
Namjoon watched idly for a while, pulling up a stool next to him and shaking his head as he watched his friend effectively lose his mind over some numbers on a screen.
Once he saw the score reach 500,000, he pulled away for a moment to celebrate before quickly gripping the joystick again. You wouldn’t leave his mind, your smug face looking up at him while you rubbed it in his face about you winning. Who even were you? You couldn’t be older than 20. How could you have beat him so quickly? Two days ago the high score was his then you came out of nowhere and wrecked his reputation.
“I’m going to go, Jin.” Namjoon said.
“Hm.” Seokjin grunted, still watching the little yellow ball consume every pellet on the screen.
Namjoon realized Seokjin didn’t hear a thing he just said. “Jin? Can you look away for a second?”
No response.
“Oh my god, that chick just took off her top! She’s pouring beer all over herself!”
Still nothing. Namjoon patted his friend’s shoulder, mentioning that he’ll see him later and walking out of the door.
Finally, after too long, Seokjin’s bright yellow circle was cornered by Inky and Blinky and consumed into nothingness. Finally, in bright text 680,002 blinked across the screen. “Yes!”
He turned around and realized there was nobody around him, Taehyung sat at the desk at the front with his face planted down. “Tae! Where is everyone?”
“We closed like a half hour ago, man. I tried to tell you but you were like a fucking zombie.” Taehyung spoke, exhaustion lacing his voice as Seokjin knew he was ready to leave.
“Sorry, but I beat her!” He turned back and entered his initials, KSJ sandwiching SMD. He couldn’t help but grin, grabbing his things and tapping Taehyung’s counter in goodbye and heading home for a nice sleep.
Once he arrived home, he walked passed Yoongi asleep on the couch, heading towards his bed and closing his eyes. However, once his eyes were closed, he couldn’t help but toss and turn because of the beanie girl filling his thoughts.
Her plump smirk and shot blood to his cock, and he couldn’t help but reach his hand down and feel himself through his boxers.
~*~*~
On Monday, Seokjin caught up to Jimin while walking to class, telling him the tale of beanie girl and Ms. Pac Man. Jimin listened through tired ears, sipping coffee on the way to the agricultural science building.
Seokjin followed Jimin in, “And her initials are SMD. I can’t even begin to guess what her name is.”
Jimin chuckled, “Sounds like someone has a crush.”
“Hah! You’re funny. No, she’s my mortal enemy. She doesn’t even- who’s that?” Seokjin stopped outside a classroom, pointing obviously to you. He immediately recognized you, his eyes going wide when he realized this was Jimin’s classroom as well. Your hair was pulled away from your face and he could see your bright smile while you spoke to a professor animatedly.
Fuck. He thought. Images of his dreams running through his head. He tried desperately to shake these thoughts from his head, your shirt dipping just low enough to give him a view which made it even harder.
“Her? Oh that’s (Y/N), she’s a Sophomore and transferred from somewhere up north. She’s my partner in this term’s agricultural assignment.” He gave Seokjin a small shrug.
“(Y/N) isn’t even close to SMD.” Seokjin whispered, more to himself than anyone. Confusion laced his features, causing Jimin to look between the two of you.
“Jesus Christ, don’t tell me that (Y/N) is SMD?” Jimin’s laughter caused your attention to be drawn over to the doorway, a smirk lacing your features when you saw KSJ staring at you with that same shocked expression he held on Friday. You shook your head, turning your spray bottle back to the tomato plants hanging in perfect lines.
“She certainly is SMD.” Suddenly, an idea popped into Seokjin’s head. He strolled passed Jimin into the classroom, walking straight up to you.
You looked up at him with a raised eyebrow, rolling up your sleeves while you leaned down and looked through the dirt beneath your plants, “Yes Mr. KSJ?”
“I just wanted to let you know that I beat your score. You’re going to have to put up a bigger fight if you want to beat me.” He spoke, trying to ignore the hint of a tattoo peaking out of your shirt on your back.
You scoffed, “That’s real cute,” standing, you slipped your gloves off your hands, “that you think I can’t go down there today and beat you again.”
Seokjin inhaled, the smell of Earth filling his nostrils while he puffed his chest in an attempt not to seem so intimidated by your confidence. “Then do it.”
“I will.” You spoke, your eyes trailing up and down him, not attempting to hide your wandering gaze. He was broad, so much so you felt you couldn’t get your arms around him.
To him, your eyes were challenging. Seokjin was tempted to push you onto the ground and take you in front of the entire class. He wanted to wipe that smug grin off your face and shut you up with a mouthful of his cock. However, he swallowed his thoughts and stared you down, “I look forward to seeing you there then.”
He turned on his heel and walked away, speeding up once he thought that you weren’t looking anymore.
“What did Seokjin say to you?” Jimin asked, slipping an apron over his clothes and setting his coffee down on the table beside you.
“His name is Seokjin? That’s cute. He your friend?” You tried to seem distracted, but in reality you couldn’t help but allow your mind to picture his head between your thighs with your back arched on the bed of your dorm room.
“Uh, yeah. One of my best friends, why?” Jimin said, taking a spray bottle and carefully watering a few plants.
“Hm, no reason. He just talked about beating my score in Ms. Pac Man.” You gave Jimin a smile, turning your back and blowing out a breath of air while trying your hardest to concentrate on your schooling.
Later that day, Seokjin rushed out of his last lecture and ran out of the Foods building and towards the arcade. Once he approached the building, he slowed down to catch his breath, seeing you walk in with a few girls following close behind. He put his hands on his knees, breathing deeply. He looked into the window of a car, adjusting his hair and tugging down his shirt.
He felt his palms sweat with anticipation as he swung open the arcade door. Taehyung was already there, beginning his shift. “Hey, I didn’t know you’d be here today. I didn’t put the sign up.”
“No there’s no need to, Ms. SMD is beating my score.” Seokjin held up air quotes, only to hear you clear your throat from behind him.
He turned around, leaning against the counter, “Hey there SMD.”
“Come on, Mister. We’ve got a record to beat.” You gripped his wrist, dragging him back towards the machine. He couldn’t help the smile across his face when he felt your touch.
You slipped two coins into the slot, your hand lightly dancing across the joystick for the first few levels. Between each level, you felt turned back to Seokjin with a small smile. He only glared, though, watching as your hand moved and jerked the joystick carefully to avoid every ghost.
Once you hit screen 50, you rubbed your neck and rolled it for a few seconds. A crowd had gathered and while Seokjin was used to it, he noticed you becoming more and more nervous.
“Alright children, let the woman breathe! Back away!” Seokjin shooed people away, “She needs all the help he can get, so you can’t be distracting her. We need to be fair.”
“KSJ?” You spoke.
“Yes SMD?” His sang, humor in his voice.
“Shut the fuck up.” You tried to hide the grin on your face, passing yet another screen. The crowd dispersed, following Seokjin’s orders. Finally, you made it to a point where a theatrical cut scene hit and you could lean back for about 30 seconds.
Seokjin was now gnawing at his nails, and you took a moment to admire his looks.
He knew he was an attractive man, he often joked about being blessed from birth with good looks but when someone he was interested in checked him out, he couldn’t help but feel confidence leave his body. His ears poked out from his long hair, turning red at your gaze.
“It’s starting.” He pointed at the screen and you uncrossed your arms, turning your attention back to the game.
“So what do I get once I beat you?” You questioned, quickly changing your direction and slipping to the other side of the screen to suck up the last of the pellets.
“Well you get your initials on top of mine.” Seokjin reasoned, pointing at the screen and taking your attention away for half a second. You quickly adjusted, doubling back and clearing another screen. “Yeah but what about something more?”
“Why am I even humoring this? You’re not going to beat me.” Seokjin’s confidence lacked truth. Of course he was worried you would beat him, and of course your proposition for a prize immediately caused his mind to rush with ideas of your hands tied up above your head.
“What ever you say, sir.” A smirk hung on your lips.
At this point Seokjin couldn’t keep his eyes on the game, instead he watched your face. You dragged your bottom lip between your teeth, concentration on your brow when you saw your score reach 600,000.
As the next screen wipes through, you begin moving to the left, faking right before finding yourself being chased by all four ghosts. “No no no!” You shout, slipping through the right side of the screen and desperately trying to get to your last powerup. In the process, you eat as much fruit as you can before doubling back, sliding right into a corner and disappearing into nothing.
You stare up at the score, watching it tick up and finally end on 617,180.
“Noo!” You screeched, dropping to your knees in front of the game, your hands slipping down the front in dispair.
“Yes!” Seokjin yelled, jumping up in celebration and sinking down to your level, “Hah! I knew you wouldn’t be able to beat it! I fucking knew it!”
While you lay on the ground, you hid your smile with your hair, watching him jump and spin in celebration. Seokjin gripped your hand and pulled you up to him, “It’s a shame you didn’t. I had a pretty good idea for what you would win.”
“And what would that be?” You were suddenly aware of your close proximity, his breath fanning the top of your cheeks. His hand was large compared to yours, masking your fingers with his. “You’ll have to win to find out.” He grinned, picking up his bookbag and walking out of the arcade. Taehyung watched him walk out, a confused look on his face. He glanced towards you, only to see you shrug.
~*~*~
When Saturday night rolled around, Seokjin found himself at the arcade. For a while, he and Namjoon played Snooker, his desperate attempts to look cool failing him because he just continued to look around for you. Taehyung being off that night made it difficult for Seokjin to call dibs on the machine.
He hoped you beat him there, already working on your next attempt to beat him. The truth was, he didn’t have a clue what to give you if you won. He became nervous at your proposition, wondering if you had the same things running through your head as he did. He was sure you didn’t, seeing as your prize for beating him in his mind would be tying you to the bedpost and shutting you up with a ball gag.
After a couple of hours, Namjoon suggests you two meet everyone else at the bar down the road. Dejected, Seokjin agreed only if Namjoon would pay for his first drink.
“And they’ve arrived!” Yoongi shouts, holding up a half drank beer and stumbling slightly over his words. Beside him stood a girl who was a little too close for friends, causing Seokjin to sigh when he realized just how much he was missing out on dating currently.
“Yes, hope you didn’t miss me too much.” Namjoon pats the top of Yoongi’s head, ordering two beers at the bar and turning back to the table.
Jimin looked up, a small smile on his face, “(Y/N) should bee here soon, Jin.”
Seokjin’s eyes go wide, “W- why are you telling me?”
“Because you like her. Duh.” Jimin smirked, finishing off a drink and heading towards the jukebox to change the song to something a little more modern.
Seokjin tried to ignore the flutter in his stomach when he heard your name. He didn’t think it was possible to fall for someone so quickly, yet here he was, wondering how your day went. If you passed your classes last semester, or if you like to wear stockings beneath a short skirt. . .
He zoned out, not noticing the bell above the door ring, announcing your return. Jimin rushed to you, greeting you with a small hug. He whispered a small “Thank you, Jin really likes you” in your ear as he did so, knowing that it wouldn’t play against your favor if he was so blunt.
You ignore the blush on your cheeks before spotting Seokjin and sat down at a table. He was surrounded by other people, one you recognized as the manager at the arcade. Seokjin’s back was lean, he was tall and his face flushed from the warmth of the alcohol.
Not so confidently, you stepped your way towards the table and rested your hand on Seokjin’s shoulder, startling him out of his trance.
“Hello SMD.” He said, not hiding his smile. Earlier thoughts of you on your knees seemed to had dissipated and now you turned his legs to jelly.
“Please call me by my name, Seokjin.” You scolded playfully, standing closely beside him. It wasn’t until you felt eyes on you did you realize that nobody knew who you were besides Jimin. “(Y/N), I uh, I play games with Seokjin sometimes.” You introduced yourself to the group of people, only watching them nod and turning back to their respective conversations.
“How come you weren’t at the arcade earlier?” Seokjin asked, mostly making casual conversation but also worried you were avoiding him. He snagged a chair from another table and slid it next to him, allowing you to sit down.
You smiled, “Awe, did you miss me?”
Seokjin’s mouth goes dry, “N- no, I-”
“That’s adorable.” You reach forward, pinching his cheek in your hand.
“Hey!” Seokjin whined loudly, gripping your wrist. The top of his ears went red at your touch, “I am a grown man, you can’t pinch my cheeks.”
You giggled, “but your face is so pinchable, I can’t help it. Besides, you missed me today and won’t admit it.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He grins, his eyes meeting yours for the first time today. They were bright underneath the bar lights, and you couldn’t help but reach up and push his hair from his face. His eyes fluttered at your touch, and you pulled your hand away in slight embarrassment.
“Can I buy you a drink?”
“Please.” You responded, feeling him slip passed you and towards the bar. He didn’t know what to order, pointing to the first thing he saw that looked sweet. You watched him talk to the bartender, his hands clasped in front of him while he rose an eyebrow.
The bartender pulled out the mixers and began making your drink, moving fast and filling a beer for Seokjin. He made his way back to you, handing you the drink and watching you take your first sip.
When you licked your lips afterward, he let out a breath. “You like martinis?”
“Honestly I’d an entire bottle of vodka right now.” You said, feeling your the drink rush through your veins. You didn’t take long to finish it, jumping into a conversation with the group of people in front of you.
Seokjin’s eyes trailed up and down your body, stopping and staring at the way your skirt hugged your ass perfectly. The tattoo on your lower back was now in full view, the words “Baby Girl” with a heart around it inked into your perfect skin.
His finger reached forward, tracing the ink, “When did you get this done?”
“Oh,” you turned at his touch, “I got it at 17, I thought it was a good idea at the time but now I regret it.” Your face turned red, giving Seokjin a sheepish smile. He bit his lip in response, “I think it’s cute. Why baby girl?”
“Mm,” you hummed as you sipped another drink, “that’s a story for another day.” You turned back to his group of friends, continuing your earlier conversation.
Seokjin grinned at how easily you fit in, having a heated debate between with Hoseok about why Thrift Stores are just as acceptable to buy name brand clothes as anywhere else.
“Anyway, I found these Gucci slides at Uptown Cheapskate for $45. The same slides that usually sell for $450. So suck on that, hat man!” You shouted, downing one of the many shots brought to your table.
Hoseok’s mouth dropped, “Jin you need to control your woman.”
“Hey, she’s not my woman yet. And she can do what she wants.” Seokjin shrugged, leaning back in his chair and watching you lean over the table to tug Hoseok’s hat over his eyes.
“Yet?” You lean back, giving Seokjin a grin. He nodded, “Yet.”
“Well what’s stopping you then?” You questioned leaning closer to him. He chuckled, “You have to beat my high score.”
“Fuck the high score.” You muttered, leaning forward and finally crashing your lips onto his. He smiled into the kiss, his hands finding your hips easily.
Of course he was good with his tongue, darting it between your lips effortlessly. You were tempted to crawl into his chair and straddle his lips. You were tempted to feel his hips bucking into yours underneath the friction of his jeans against the underneath of your skirt.
But you were in public, this couldn’t happen.
“You want to get out of here?” You pulled away, Seokjin’s lips swollen and shiny. He nodded wordlessly, allowing you to grip his hand and pull him up and out of the building. The half drank beers were left on the table while Jimin watched you pull Seokjin away with a smirk.
On the walk towards your dorms, Seokjin’s hands didn’t leave your body. He walked behind you, his hands underneath the hem of your shirt while his lips danced lazily up and down your neck. You made no effort in pushing him off, knowing that this wasn’t the craziest thing that these students have seen on campus this week.
“Jin, you have to be careful or I’m going to start taking off my clothes now.” You warn once you feel his hand creep further up your shirt. He only chuckled, his laugh contagious. You bit your lip, pulling out your keys once you made it to your dorm room, unlocking the door.
As soon as you opened the door, Seokjin pushed you in and towards your bed. His kiss was less gentle, all teeth crashing into each other only breaking to pull your shirt over your head.
Your hand unbuttoned his shirt haphazardly, feeling him reach and rip the buttons off his shirt to slip it off quicker. Sure enough, his shoulders were broad but his waist was slim, a hint of a 6 pack rested on his abdomen. You couldn’t help but run your hands over his muscles, your nails lightly scratching just above his pelvic bone.
Quickly, you pushed him down onto your bed, watching his face fall open in shock much like when he first saw you. “Oh don’t act so surprised now, Jinnie,” you straddled his hips, “you should have figured where this was going.”
“Oh no you don’t.” Seokjin flips the two of you, his large body covering yours while his teeth nipped down your collarbone. He unhooked your bra, exposing your breasts and not hesitating to palm each of them in his hands.
Your back arched instinctively at his touch, his tongue licking down your chest and abdomen, finally stopping at your hip bones. His breath fanned over your navel, where his eyes met yours in a silent plead for confirmation. You smiled, leaning on your elbows to watch him as his fingers looped in the hem of your skirt.
You lifted your hips, feeling him tug the thin fabric down your hips. When your red thong was expose, Seokjin couldn’t help but groan at the sight. He leaned down and spread open mouth kisses on your pelvic bone, then pulling the thong down your legs.
For a moment, he pauses. His eyes taking in the sight in front of him, he saw your sexed up hair and wild eyes as a sign that he should move quickly, but then he got an idea.
“You never beat my high score, baby girl.”
“You heard what I said earlier, fuck the high score. Just, fuck me Jin.” You said, almost whining as you felt his fingers touch everywhere but where you needed him most.
“No, no. We’re going to take this nice and slow.” He grinned, his finger running up your slit, collecting the wetness that pooled there. You threw your head back, happy at the content but suddenly feeling his fingers slip away as quickly as they touched you.
You threw open your eyes, blazing by his touch but watching those same fingers being brought up to his mouth. His tongue darted out, sucking on his figures. The earlier timid man had disappeared and was replaced by a sex god. Your eyes were wide, his fingers slipping up your heat once again.
“Open your mouth.”
No hesitation at all, your jaw dropped. Seokjin’s fingers entered your mouth, resting the pads of his fingers on the tip of your tongue. You enclosed your lips around his fingers and sucked. A small gasp fell from his mouth, his eyes shining as your tongue licked his fingers.
Suddenly, his other hand sunk two fingers into your heat. He pumped in and out at an agonizingly slow pace. You moaned loudly, spreading your legs wider while his speed increased. Just as you felt yourself about to tip over the edge, he pulled his fingers out.
You sucked in a breath of air, watching him lean back and point to his pants. Without a second of hesitation, you lunged forward and unzipped his jeans. Now it was your turn to slow down, slipped his pants off his hips and saw his cock spring free.
“No boxers?” You questioned, veins pulsing while his cock rested on his abdomen. Seokjin shook his head, watching you carefully while you threw his jeans onto the floor.
Your lips pressed a kiss to the head, Seokjin’s eyes fluttering shut while you pumped your wrist up and down. “Oh fuck.” He moaned, his voice lowering a few octaves in the sexiest thing you had ever heard in your entire life. You watched his hips flex at your touch, bucking as your lips finally wrapped around his cock.
“That’s right, baby girl.” He held your hair up, watching carefully and guiding you. You felt tingling in your lower half at his words. He tugged softly on your hair, pulling you up and off him. You gave him a lazy grin, which caused Seokjin’s heart to flutter.
“On your stomach,” he spoke, out of breath, “ass in the air.”
You obeyed immediately, your knees towards the edge of the bed. Your back was arched and Seokjin laid a harsh smack to your ass. You groaned at the crack, feeling his hand rub where he smacked immediately to soothe. Felt him line himself up behind you, before stopping.
“You know, you’re lucky I’m doing this. I wasn’t going to until you beat my score again.” His hand rubbed up your spine, causing chills to follow his touch.
“Jin I swear to god if you don’t fuck me right now you’ll never be able to.” You turned back to him, watching his face drop into a glare. All too quickly, you felt him sink in. You barely had enough time to adjust before he was pulling out and slamming into you again.
“As much as I like cock warming, you’re right. You need a good fuck.” He grinned, his teeth biting your shoulders.
Your gasp was loud and repetitive, feeling him pound into you. Your arms became weak and you felt yourself collapse. Seokjin was quick to pull you up, continuing to thrust.
Your eyes rolled to the back of your head, his moans growing in volume when he felt you tightening around him.
“You gonna cum for me like the good girl you are?” He said into your ear, breathlessly moaning and encouraging you.
His hand snaked around your front, rubbing hard on your clit and finally coaxing you through your orgasm. Your whines only edged him closer and he had to pull out before he came.
“Jin,” You gasped, “I’m on the pill. Cum inside me.”
Seokjin’s eyes screwed shut, releasing as his hips bucked harshly into you. You collapsed onto the bed, feeling your hair stick to your forehead as you desperately tried to catch your breath.
He pulled out, collapsing on top of you. He smiled, “You’re a dirty girl, aren’t you.” He moved your hair from your face, pressing a small kiss to your cheek, “I like dirty.”
“Thank god, I don’t know what I would’ve done if you were just vanilla.” You flipped around, looking him in his eyes.
“Now, just to be clear,” his arms shook as he held himself above you but he didn’t want to leave this proximity just yet, “this isn’t a one time thing, right?”
“I sure hope not, in fact I could go for round two right now.” You murmured, your hand stroking the back of his head carefully.
Seokjin pressed a small, gentle kiss to your lips, “Let me recharge for a minute, then round two in the showers.”
“Deal.” You said, leaning up and kissing him hard.
For the rest of the night he stayed close to you, his fingers as skilled on you as they are on the arcade machine. That night you fell asleep in his arms, listening to the tiniest snores leave his mouth.
To say you were whipped for Kim Seokjin would be an understatement.
