Sending my thing in once more, huzzah! I was wondering, what kind of darling would Nikolai and Fyodor find attractive, do they have a type, or something they just find attractive?

im aware that canonically nikolai + fyodor are really cruel but for self-indulgent purposes, i made them a little more tolerable 😇 still, i tried to keep these as accurate as possible

- for starters, definitely someone without an ability—it just wouldn't fit his goal of wiping out ability users as he considers them sinners. unless he liked darling before finding out about their ability or darling themselves doesn't like their ability, in which case he might try to get rid of it to help 'remove the sin'

- in terms of personality, it's either someone who can keep up with him or a darling who is not as conniving and possibly more compassionate. the first type would catch his interest quickly, but the second would trigger a more obsessive interest faster. it helps if darling shares his hobbies and interests as well

- for fyodor, first impressions really matter since he's not about forming connections unless he finds the person useful or interesting. if he gets into a conversation with darling when they first meet and if they pique his curiousity, it would inevitably seal their fate

- of course, there's the possibility of a darling who shares his idealogy which would instantly make him intrigued. in this case, he would gladly continue his plans—but don't be fooled; regardless of their beliefs, fyodor would always see darling as someone lesser than him. higher than most people, but still below him. considering how he thinks of himself as carrying out the will of god, he definitely believes himself to be superior

- for nikolai, the matter of an ability is rather unimportant—although he would find some fun in a darling who can hold their own against him

- nikolai would like someone who can humor his theatrics; especially if it's their first time meeting him and they amuse him despite not knowing him. someone with a more outgoing personality would be perfect in his eyes, but even if darling was more introverted, he won't mind too much. for nikolai, it's more of 'since it's them, they're perfect,' and not really a fixed 'type' he likes

- however, harmless and fun he may seem, befriending nikolai is the first step to him developing an obsession with darling—he doesn't fall for strangers.

- getting attached to someone would drive him mad at first because forming relationships means he can't be as free as he's always wanted, but he'll find pleasure in being with darling (regardless of whether they want to be with him

- if darling knows to play along with his dramatic gestures and eccentric questions, they'd be safe from harm. he can be quite pleasant when he's not unhinged and upset, which would happen if darling refuses to comply (in that case, it would lead to something like this scenario)
