I just finished watching Emesis Blue and...it is horrific. A neverending loop of life and death, forced to play out for eternity. It's so beautifully morbid, I don't even know if I'm in awe or traumatized...or maybe both? It's also extremely cryptic, I literally had to watch an analysis of it just to understand what was actually going on.

Despite being absolutely grotesque, it's still a masterpiece. If any of y'all decide to watch it, I should worn you...

okay i want to talk about the dichotomy that exists within haru. she is a lady of high society, very gentle, ladylike, and soft spoken. but in the metaverse, her weapons of choice are a massive battle axe and a grenade launcher. haru is also only one of 2 people to have a gun skill on their persona, the other person being akechi. i feel like there’s something to be said there. psychokinesis is a very tactical affinity - you need to plan it with ailments on order to be effective. it’s like her persona has abilities for both chess and boxing. mind games and fist fights.

You’ve packed up every cuss word you have ever known (even the very funny ones) and they no longer pass your lips. You still shout and holler but you know when it is appropriate.

You bring flowers for the dinner table. 

It is not all bad, but --

Menphina’s loving embrace is ice cold and when you reach for her you are lost in the steam that comes with contact; Her Love against the white-hot heat of your fear-tinged anger. 

You come away each time feeling the heat less and less but you worry -- does this mean Her Love diminishes as well?

Worry so quickly turns to agitation and agitation to fear and fear to anger.
