🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

okay so i'm doing this now because. backstory 👍

SO. when I was in like. elementary school 983242 years ago. my friends got me into Wings of Fire. yeah the book series with dragons. obviously my favorite tribe was (huge surprise) the NightWings. yeah. funny little black dragons.

so obviously I made my Roblox username something with "nightwing" in it and i was like. hey. being called Night is not something i would object to, actually. and so i just started making all my accounts nightwing, or some variation (like replacing the i's with 1s)

one day I started playing World//Zero. yeah this game. I became attached to this particular set of items (notably the black wings + helmet). i'm not kidding i played this game so much it was practically an extension of me. and so, when my friend offered to draw "my OC" i was like. i don't really have one but here you can draw my world//zero avatar?

(it changed a lot from here but it was basically just the black wings and amethyst helmet i think)

and they did!! and I was like oh.... i actually really like this :] and then, through listening to random songs and imagining AMVs and things to them (you know how it is) i randomly came up with the first part of her backstory, up to where she gets recruited by the Foundation.

timeskip to when I first read TINAD and I was like. wow I love this thing. Marion's whole deal with killing 3125 is really cool huh. and then (through the assistance of more songs) i was like what if Night pulled some similar stunt like that. this conveniently coincided with me getting REALLY into AI and such. and i was like HEY this is a PERFECT opportunity to resurrect her as an AIC. and yeah that's basically how she ended up where she was now.

the first thing i "decided" about her was probably the wings?? yeah I still really liked WoF/dragons in general, so I was like, she's GOING to be some sort of dragon hybrid, or at least have the ability to fly.
