Cop Car: Part 2
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: Jake has to endure the punishment laid out by Maverick for sneaking you into a restricted area on base. Of course the rest of the gang can't help but pick on Hangman for the not so special attention that he's getting from Maverick.

The next morning at training, the sun was already high and blazing over the runway. The pilots of the elite squadron were gathered around their planes, running pre-flight checks and prepping for the intense day ahead. Everyone seemed to be in their usual spirits—except for Hangman.
Jake stood a few feet away from his jet, his usual swagger noticeably absent. His jaw was tight, his eyes narrowed against the glare of the sun as he reviewed the day’s training schedule on his tablet. But it wasn’t the heat that had him on edge.
It was Maverick.
“Hangman!” Maverick’s voice boomed across the tarmac, the commanding tone unmistakable. “I don’t want to see one damn mistake from you out there today. You better bring your A-game or I’m grounding you until further notice. Understood?”
Jake nodded sharply, his face stiff as he saluted. “Yes, sir.”
Maverick’s expression didn’t soften in the slightest, his gaze hard as he turned away to address the rest of the team. Jake exhaled slowly, clenching his fists at his sides.
Phoenix, standing nearby, narrowed her eyes as she watched the interaction. “What the hell crawled up Mav’s ass?” she muttered, glancing at Bob, who shrugged with wide eyes.
“No idea, but he’s sure been riding Hangman hard all morning,” Bob replied, adjusting his helmet.
Payback, who was strapping on his gear, raised an eyebrow. “Maybe Hangman finally pushed him too far with all that cocky trash talk?”
Coyote chuckled, overhearing the conversation as he checked his plane’s wing. “Wouldn’t surprise me. That boy’s been pushing everyone’s buttons since day one.”
Phoenix shook her head. “No, this feels different. This is personal.”
Rooster, silent until now, suddenly looked up from his own pre-flight routine. His eyes flickered to Hangman, then to Maverick, a knowing look passing across his face. He pressed his lips together, clearly trying to hold back a smile.
“What do you know, Rooster?” Phoenix asked, her curiosity piqued by his expression. The rest of the team turned their attention to him, waiting for an explanation.
Rooster shrugged casually, though the amused glint in his eyes didn’t go unnoticed. “Just something I heard. Could be nothing… or it could be that Jake got caught last night somewhere he definitely wasn’t supposed to be.”
Payback raised an eyebrow, his interest growing. “Caught where?”
Rooster let the tension build before he dropped the bomb. “In a restricted area. With the Captain’s daughter.”
There was a moment of stunned silence before the entire team erupted.
“No way!” Phoenix exclaimed, her eyes wide with disbelief.
“Are you serious?” Bob asked, looking from Rooster to Hangman and back again.
Coyote whistled low under his breath, shaking his head. “Oh man, Hangman really went for it, huh?”
Payback laughed, clapping Rooster on the back. “That explains everything! No wonder Mav’s been on his ass all morning. He’s not just mad—he’s pissed.”
Phoenix smirked, glancing at Jake, who had his back turned to them, oblivious to the conversation. “Guess Hangman thought he could charm his way out of anything, even with Maverick.”
Rooster grinned. “Looks like that didn’t work out so well for him this time.”
Just as they were all shaking their heads in disbelief, Maverick’s voice cut through the group once again. “Seresin! You better get your head in the game or I’m pulling you from this exercise. Do I make myself clear?”
Jake straightened, his jaw clenched even tighter and gave another sharp salute. “Crystal clear, sir.”
Phoenix leaned closer to Rooster, whispering, “Do you think Hangman’s gonna survive this?”
Rooster chuckled under his breath. “Not if Maverick keeps this up.”
Bob, glancing over at Hangman with a small smirk, chimed in. “I don’t know… He survived all of us ganging up on him. Maybe he’s tougher than we think.”
Coyote laughed. “Or just dumber.”
They all shared a knowing look, quietly amused by Jake’s predicament. But despite the jokes and jabs, they were still a team. And though they would give Jake a hard time, they also knew that when push came to shove, Hangman would pull through like he always did.
For now, though, it was too much fun watching him sweat.
As the team geared up for the day’s flight drills, they couldn't help but exchange glances every time Maverick barked another order at Jake, each one sharper and more unforgiving than the last. The tension was palpable, but it only fueled the teasing that was sure to come after the training session ended.
Phoenix leaned over to Payback with a smirk. “Remind me to stay the hell away from Mav’s daughter if I want to keep flying.”
Payback chuckled. “Yeah, or at least don’t get caught.”
* * * * *
The warm, familiar glow of The Hard Deck beckoned like a safe haven after a brutal day on the tarmac. Hangman pushed open the door, feeling the cool rush of air and the buzz of conversation wash over him as he entered the bar. He was worn out, both physically and mentally, after a full day of Maverick barking orders at him like he was a rookie again. But he’d survived—barely—and now all he wanted was a cold beer and some peace.
Jake slid onto a stool at the bar, giving Penny a nod. She smiled as she handed him a bottle without asking, already familiar with his order.
"Rough day?" Penny asked, raising an eyebrow as she wiped down the bar.
Jake chuckled dryly, taking a long swig of his beer. “You have no idea.”
He barely had time to settle in before the door swung open again, and the rest of the squadron piled into the bar. Rooster, Phoenix, Bob, Payback, and Coyote—all of them were grinning as they made a beeline for Jake.
“Oh, hell no,” Jake muttered under his breath, already sensing what was coming. He took another gulp of his beer, bracing himself as they closed in.
Phoenix smirked as she sidled up next to him. “So, Hangman,” she began, her tone dripping with amusement. “You gonna survive round two tomorrow, or is Mav going to run you into the ground again?”
Jake rolled his eyes, lifting his beer in response. “Please. He can try, but I’m still standing, aren’t I?”
Coyote appeared on his other side, clapping him on the back. “Barely, man. You looked like you were ready to drop after that last drill.”
Bob chuckled softly from across the table, adjusting his glasses. “Can’t imagine what today’s extra ‘training’ must have felt like. That was… a lot.”
Phoenix leaned in closer, raising an eyebrow. “You know, we all thought Mav was going to tear you apart after what happened last night.” Her eyes twinkled with mischief. “But somehow, you’re still in one piece.”
Jake gave her a nonchalant shrug, though the tension in his shoulders hadn’t quite eased. “What can I say? I’m too good to kill.”
Before anyone could respond, the door to the bar swung open, and the atmosphere seemed to shift as Maverick strode in. His presence was impossible to miss, and the squad straightened instinctively, casting curious glances in his direction. Hangman, however, braced himself, wondering what was coming next.
Maverick didn’t waste any time. He crossed the bar in a few strides, heading straight for the group. His eyes flicked to Hangman, and for a brief moment, there was silence. Jake stood a little straighter, setting his beer down as Maverick came to a stop beside him.
With a firm pat on the shoulder, Maverick gave him a tight-lipped smile. “Nice work today, Seresin,” he said, his voice steady but carrying a weight behind it. “You held up better than I expected.”
Jake let out a small breath, trying to suppress his relief. But before he could respond, Maverick’s grip tightened ever so slightly, and he leaned in, his tone sharpening. “I hope you’re ready to do it all over again tomorrow.”
The warning was unmistakable. Maverick wasn’t done with him—not by a long shot.
Jake swallowed hard, his earlier bravado faltering. “Yes, sir. Ready for whatever you’ve got.”
Maverick’s eyes lingered on Jake for a moment longer before he straightened, the smirk returning to his face. “Good. Because tomorrow’s going to be a long day.” Without another word, he released his grip and turned to acknowledge the rest of the squad with a nod. “You all did good work today. Keep it up.”
As Maverick made his way over to the other side of the bar to talk with Penny, the squad’s attention snapped back to Jake, and the teasing immediately began.
Phoenix was the first to speak, her laughter bubbling up as she leaned on the bar. “Oh, man. You should’ve seen your face, Hangman. Looked like you were about to melt right there.”
Coyote grinned, shaking his head. “I thought you were supposed to be the cool, collected one, huh?”
Even Bob, usually the quiet one, had to chime in. “Yeah, you looked like you were in trouble for a second there.”
Jake shot them all a glare, picking his beer back up and taking a long swig. “Shut up, the lot of you. I’m still here, aren’t I?”
Phoenix raised her hands, palms out in mock surrender. “Hey, we’re just saying… Mav’s got something planned for you, and it sounds like it’s gonna be rough.”
Coyote leaned closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “Better get a good night’s sleep, man. Tomorrow’s not going to be any easier.”
Jake huffed, a mix of frustration and amusement tugging at his features. “You’re all just jealous Mav’s paying me extra attention.”
Phoenix snorted. “If by ‘extra attention’ you mean kicking your ass twice as hard, sure.”
* * * * *
Penny leaned against the bar, her keen eyes tracking Maverick as he made his way over. He’d just come from delivering what appeared to be a friendly yet loaded comment to Hangman, who was now surrounded by the rest of the team, their laughter and teasing barely masking the tension in Jake’s posture.
Penny knew that look on Maverick’s face—the tight smile, the steely gaze. It wasn’t just about training, at least not entirely. Something more was brewing beneath the surface, and she had a good idea of what it was. After all, she had overheard a few conversations around the bar that night, whispers about the Captain’s daughter and a certain pilot getting caught in a restricted area.
She picked up a couple of glasses, wiping them absentmindedly as Maverick approached, her expression casual but her mind already working.
When he reached the bar, she didn’t say anything at first, just poured him a drink without asking, setting it down in front of him with a knowing look. He took a sip, leaning on the counter as if the weight of the day—or perhaps, the weight of his own choices—was starting to catch up with him.
“Long day?” Penny asked, her tone light but probing.
Maverick glanced at her, offering a small nod. “You could say that.”
She leaned closer, crossing her arms over the bar as she fixed him with a look that only Penny could pull off—gentle, but firm enough to make him squirm a little. “Heard some interesting stories tonight.”
Mav’s eyebrow twitched, though he kept his eyes on his drink. “Yeah? This place is full of them.”
“Mmm,” she hummed, not letting him off the hook. “This one’s about a certain Lieutenant and someone’s daughter sneaking into a restricted area last night.”
Maverick didn’t respond at first, just took another sip of his drink, but Penny saw the slight clench of his jaw. She could feel the tension radiating off him, the inner conflict between Captain Mitchell and the protective father beneath the surface.
“You don’t have to pretend, Pete,” she said softly. “I know what’s going on. And so does half the bar.”
That finally got a reaction. He looked up at her, meeting her gaze, his expression somewhere between exasperation and reluctance. “It’s complicated.”
“I’m sure it is,” she agreed, her voice calm and soothing. “But don’t you think you’re being a little hard on him?”
Maverick’s brow furrowed, and he shook his head slightly. “He broke the rules, Penny. He crossed a line.”
Penny tilted her head, studying him carefully. “Didn’t we all, back in the day?”
Maverick shot her a look, a mixture of amusement and defensiveness playing on his face. “That was different.”
“Was it?” she asked, a hint of a smile tugging at her lips. “I seem to remember a certain pilot trying to win over an admiral’s daughter. And pulling all kinds of stunts to impress her.”
Maverick sighed, leaning back slightly as the memories came rushing back. Penny wasn’t wrong. He’d done more than his share of rule-bending in his younger days, and many of those stunts were in pursuit of her. He’d spent years dancing on the edge of regulations, risking everything in the name of love, adrenaline, and a good time.
Penny gave him a playful nudge with her elbow. “Come on, Pete. You weren’t exactly a saint, and you know it. Remember that time you tried to sneak into the backyard just to see me?”
Maverick couldn’t help the small chuckle that escaped him. “I thought we agreed never to bring that up again.”
Penny laughed, a soft sound that softened the air between them. “I think you’ve already punished Hangman enough. He’s young, and yeah, he’s cocky, but…” She glanced over at Jake, who was still getting ribbed by his teammates across the bar. “From what I’ve heard, he’s also a damn good pilot. And if he cares about your daughter half as much as you cared about me back then, maybe give him a little slack.”
Maverick’s smile faded as he followed her gaze, his eyes landing on Jake. The young lieutenant was putting on a good front, laughing along with the rest of the squad, but Mav could see the exhaustion in his posture, the way he was trying to hold it all together. Jake had a reputation for being brash, sure, but he’d proven himself time and again in the air. And lately, Maverick had noticed a subtle shift in him—a bit more maturity, a bit more responsibility.
Maybe Penny was right. Maybe he was being too hard on him.
He sighed, setting his drink down and rubbing the back of his neck. “I just… I don’t want her to get hurt.”
Penny softened, reaching out to place her hand on his. “I know, Pete. But you can’t protect her from everything. And Jake’s not a bad guy. He’s cocky, but… so were you.”
Maverick huffed out a laugh. “You’re really not going to let me off the hook here, are you?”
“Nope,” she said, smiling. “You can’t hold onto her forever. And if you trust her, maybe it’s time to trust him, too.”
He let her words sink in, the tension in his chest loosening just a bit. He still wasn’t thrilled about the idea of Jake dating his daughter, but he couldn’t deny that the kid had a good heart. And if Penny believed in giving him a second chance, maybe he should, too.
Maverick stood up straighter, finishing his drink before giving her a grateful nod. “Thanks, Penny.”
She winked at him, her smile warm. “Anytime. Just… don’t make it too easy on him, okay? Gotta keep him on his toes.”
Maverick smirked. “Oh, don’t worry. He’s got a long day ahead of him tomorrow.”
As he turned to leave, Penny called after him, her tone light but filled with affection. “Just remember, Pete… you were young once, too.”
He waved her off, chuckling as he made his way out of the bar. But as he walked out into the cool night air, her words lingered. Maybe, just maybe, it was time to give Hangman a little more leeway.
But not too much.

Hi can you do a part 2 of the ghost lover boy? Like Y/n is being repeatly being bratty and the ghost starts punishing her but of course she cant see him because he's invisible?
Hiii dear, thank you for your request and sorry for the late reply! I already had half an idea how to continue this story but I tried to mix it with your suggestion. Hopefully you like it 💜
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ghost x afab!human - bratty behaviour (kinda), ghost creature doing ghost things, p in v, mirror sex, use of ghost hunting tools, it talks!!! :o
ORIGINAL POST <-
You were wrong. The ghost was no lover boy, just a prankster through and through.
You don’t know exactly how you expected the dynamic to evolve after the events of that day, but you certainly didn’t think it would change so drastically and… not really for the better.
Has this been its intention from the very start? To harass you, play with you and your emotions until you surrendered and offered yourself to it , only to then take it all away? Has it only been having some fun with you and did not in fact care about you at all?
You wish you had an explanation for its sudden disappearance, but you don’t. And you’re so upset about it. So upset that you can’t find peace in your own four walls, because everything makes you think of it and all its stupid pranks. So upset, you can’t even find pleasure in touching yourself anymore because you can’t fuck your cunt the same way its fingers have, you can’t recapture that tingly, almost electricity-charged pressure you felt inside you when it pounded your hole with its hand, no matter how much you attempt to.
You’re losing your mind. It can't just give you a taste of something so delicious and addicting and then take it away a second later! It’s not fair! You need to catch its attention again, try however you can. You exasperate the things that always induced it to harass you; unashamedly bending over the furniture and waiting for it to grind against you, pushing your ass in the air as much as humanly possible whenever you’re doing the laundry, spending a longer time in the shower box hoping it would join you, walking naked around the house more times than not to give it easy access to every inch of you… You do anything to get it to touch you again but nothing seems to work. It’s as if it has completely vanished, as if it’s gone for good from your house. But somehow, you know it ’s still there. You can feel it. Watching you. Maybe laughing at you, at how desperate you look and act. It ’s mocking you, you’re sure.
Resentment merges with desperation, pushing you to buy some of those fancy gadgets paranormal investigators use on their hunts. You place sensors throughout the house and always carry a spirit box on you. You’ll catch its invisible and elusive ass one day or another, you’re sure! To what end? You don't truly know. You didn't think things through. Perhaps you just want to take a win over the ghost, instead. Annoy it, as it has done to you. But as the days pass, the sensors don’t pick up any signal, the spirit box is dead silent and you feel bluer than ever. All is calm...
Until it isn’t.
You invite people over, something you learnt in the past the ghost does not like in the slightest. But the ghost isn't around anymore, is it? You have no reason to be concerned about what it likes or not.
Except you have, because it is still here. Hiding so well from all your stupid tools. Pissed off by their presence, yet even more by the strangers you allowed inside its home. Especially that one fool who seems to orbit around you like a moth to a flame. It hasn't been this displeased in ages, and it can't keep itself hidden any longer. It needs to reclaim its possessions.
The sensors go off all at once, causing everyone to jump in their seats. You told your friends about your haunted house before, but no one believed you; now they all do as the lights go crazy and all kinds of trash is thrown in their faces, forcing everyone to rush to the exit.
Everyone except you.
You’re shocked… but also delighted. You secretly wished something like this might happen. You hoped that disregarding its desires would lead to retaliation. And when you feel that familiar thrilling touch on you again, oh you are ecstatic! Its grasp is a little rougher this time, as it grabs you around the waist and drags you all the way to your bedroom. All the way in front of your large mirror, where you watch your clothes come undone, ripped by unseen fretting hands. Where you can see one of your legs pulled off the ground and your hole stretched open by... nothing. It's mind-boggling to feel so stuffed while being unable to gaze upon the thing that makes your sensitive walls throb so desperately. When it starts to move, you realize it is the ghost who's inside you, with its cock swallowed to the hilt by your cunt. The sensation is unbelievable, so blissful, and unlike anything you've ever experienced before. You don't have any words to describe it. And even if you did, you'd forget all of them. Your mind goes blank when you feel its hand seize your jaw and turn your head downward, forcing you to stare at your hole spreading open and shrinking again as it pushes its length all the way into and then out of you in slow but deep thrusts.
Is this a punishment? Is this a reward? Is this a way to claim you as its own? To make you realize that it is in charge. That it can toy with you anytime it wants, and you have no say in the matter. Whatever does this mean... You do not care. You only care about the pleasure rising in your lower belly, the heat pervading your entire body, the exquisite pressure you feel in your womb as its cock finds that precious spot deep inside you, with one arm wrapped possessively around your waist and the other keeping your leg up.
You’re so out of it, so lost in seeking your release that your ears almost bypass the robotic beep coming from your pants, sprawled at your feet. However, the disembodied voice that follows reverberates through your entire being, instantly pushing you over the edge with a muted scream.
"Pretty. . . . Cunt. . . . All. . . . Mine. . . . . Taking. . . . Me. . . . So. . . . .Well. . . . . Made. . . . For. . . . Me."
You hope it will never leave you again, but if it does... Well, now you know how to make it come out again.
🪷. You can leave me a tip on ko-fi if you want to support me

Partygirl Part 2
leighton murray masterlist | main masterlist
Part 1
Tumblr media
Leighton Murray x Female Reader 1769 words
a/n - finally, it is here! i literally had this all written out except for the last part before the 17th, but I am incapable of writing cute date scenes, so this'll have to do 😅
You stir awake and your mouth falls open in a silent scream as you screw your eyes shut. Throbbing pain was incessantly stabbing at your brain, there was no way you didn't have any nerves in there because all you wanted to do was take the damn thing out. What the fuck did you drink last night, the whole bar?
Letting out a defeated sigh, you slowly opened your eyes and brought a hand to your head in an attempt to soothe the ache. Wait..
You froze.
Where were you? You questioned as your eyes adjusted to the dark. God, did you actually follow through with a one night stand? You could now hear, and not to mention feel, the soft puffs of someone breathing. You chewed on your bottom lip, nervously, as you wracked your aching brain for a solution. You nearly choke on a gasp when you feel a pair of arms tighten around your waist, pulling you flush against the other person.
Your eyebrows furrow - boobs? What the hell happened last night? And you almost feel proud of yourself until, you realise that you're still fully clothed, and now you feel horrified; how did you half fail a one night stand?
God, this was so embarrassing.
But then, you smell something familiar, expensive, and you finally pull yourself together enough to take a peek at the mystery person.
You hear yourself squeak and a hand flies to cover your mouth and you can't tell if looking was a good idea because, somehow, your heart is beating faster than it already was. You feel her hand slip from your waist and you feel as if your soul has lifted itself outside of your body.
"Y/n," you hear her croak out, her voice thick with sleep.
You let a stretched-out moment pass before replying, "Yes?"
"You okay?" She whispers softly, and you move to lay on your back.
"Yeah, I just- I wasn't expecting to see you there," you explain and Leighton can hear the nervous smile in your voice.
"You were pretty drunk last night," she recalls and she sees you wince in response. "There's some aspirin outside, if you want."
"Ugh, yes please," you say quickly.
You're sat on the sofa when Leighton passes you a bottle of water and an aspirin before taking a seat next to you. You pop the pill into your mouth and take a swig of water, smiling softly to yourself when you find that the bottle was already open. Your pounding headache seemed to dissipate instantly, it may just be a placebo effect, but you were thankful for it nonetheless, and you turned to her with a relieved smile.
"Better?" She questioned and you nodded your head. The two of you sat in a comfortable silence, just listening to the quiet through the darkness that no longer seemed so dark.
Leighton couldn't help but be thankful that the room was still dark, otherwise you most likely would have picked up on the pink tint that was dusting her cheeks. The image of you pulling her in close, your hands on her face, the way you looked at her with those drunken eyes and your voice when you called her pretty was all that she could think about. Goosebumps began to litter her arms as she shook herself out of her daze.
"I should probably get going," you announced quietly and Leighton turned to see you hugging your arms.
"You could always stay y'know? I'm sure your roommate wouldn't be too happy with you," Leighton inputted, "and you do live in the other building." You had to fight the hopeful feeling from growing as you turned to look at her; did she want you to stay? No, she was just being nice, anyone sane would offer the same.
"Really, you don't mind?" You smiled sheepishly.
"No, I wouldn't have offered if I did," she shrugged and got up from the sofa to stand in front of you. "But you need to wear something more comfortable first cause," you watched as Leighton eyed your outfit before lightly shaking her head and gave you her hand to help you up from the sofa.
Quietly, the two of you made your way back into the bedroom and you stood beside her as she rifled through her draw for something for you to wear.
"You can get changed in here, or step outside if you want," she whispered to you as she passed you a pair of neatly folded clothes. You nodded your head in reply, quickly spinning on your heel as soon as you saw Leighton reach for the waistband of her jeans. You took a moment to collect yourself and settle your nerves before swiftly slipping out of your dress and pulling on Leighton's shirt and shorts.
"Done?"
"Yeah," you whispered quietly and turned to see her slipping into the bed.
Leighton watched you as you moved closer to her; something about seeing you in her clothes was making her stomach erupt with butterflies, you looked cute. She didn't know why she did it, maybe it was the time of night, or maybe it was an unconscious decision, but she opened up her arms - inviting you in closer - and to her relief you accepted and crawled into her.
"I meant it, y'know?" You confessed and let out a slow yawn.
"Meant what?"
"Nothing, sorry, I'm just tired," you whispered sheepishly, your one second of courage quickly leaving you as soon as those words left your mouth. What you wanted to say, was that when you had drunkenly told her that she was pretty, you were being earnest. You felt Leighton nod her head above you and then the two of you slowly drifted off to sleep once again.
---
You saw Kimberly send you a small smile and you made your way to their table, food in hand.
"Speak of the devil," you hear Bela sigh out as you place your tray on the table and taking the empty seat next to Leighton.
"Why are we talking about me?" You questioned.
"Bela's in a mood-" Whitney began before being promptly interrupted.
"Why didn't you two fuck?" Bela nearly shouted accusingly.
"Woah-"
"Okay! No need to be so crass."
"Just because we both like girls, does not mean that we automatically want to jump each other's bones," you defended with a hushed voice, hyperaware of the people around you.
"Speak for yourself," Bela mumbled, upset, taking a not so discreet jab at Leighton.
"Hey," Leighton gaped, "you're the one that encouraged me!"
"Yeah, I guess I did. I'm just mad, my ship needs to sail; like you literally have all of the materials, get to building!" You shook your head at that with a slight laugh and soon enough the conversation drifted away from the two of you.
You took a forkful of your lunch before turning to Leighton, the movement catching her eye.
"How'd your quiz go?" You asked her.
"Uh- yeah! It was um," Leighton was struggling to hide her shock, she had only mentioned the quiz once, maybe twice, a week ago, "it went well," she nodded with a smile on her face.
She couldn't remember if you said anything after, too concentrated on the way that she was feeling and the way her face was heating up, so much so that she had to turn away and focus in on the conversation at the table.
---
The following week flew by quickly. You were resting on your bed, the relief of finally sitting the exam washing over you, when you felt your phone vibrate. You felt for it and at seeing the caller ID you squinted suspiciously.
"Leighton?"
"Hi."
"Are you.. okay?" You questioned with confusion; Leighton never calls you.
"Yeah, I- is your roommate there?"
"No, she wen-"
You stared, dumbfounded, at your dark screen. She hung up.
knock. knock. knock.
The fuck?
Almost cautiously, you get out of bed and tip-toe your way to the door before cracking it open ever so slightly and then swinging it fully open.
"Leighton? Are you sure you're okay?"
Standing before you, in all her glory, was Leighton Murray dressed to the nines like she always was whilst you stood in pyjamas. It wasn't even necessarily late, possibly just half-past six, but you enjoyed living in comfort.
"Of course, never better," she replied, moving into the room after you turned to the side to let her in.
In reality, Leighton had never felt so anxious in her life. If she hadn't called you on a whim, she most likely would have been back in her dorm by now. She spun around as you closed the door and, were those her pyjamas? She had let you keep them that night, and just seeing you in them was giving her whiplash to last weekend.
"I want to ask you out, on a date," she stated. "I know you said that thing a few days ago about how just because we both like girls we aren't automatically attracted to each other or whatever, and that other thing of people in a relationship should be in different friend groups, which was basically a big fat sign saying 'we're just friends', but you honestly make me feel insane and I can't stop thinking about you like all the fucking time and maybe, hopefully, you like me back or maybe I'm just crazy and delusional and all the signs are just figments of my imagination."
You stared at her with a growing smile as she ranted and now she was partly out of breath as she searched your eyes, and swallowed nervously.
You nodded your head tentatively and Leighton took a small step toward you.
"I need you to say it," she whispered softly, the words barely passing her lips, her wide, Bambi-eyes on you. She needed to know it was real.
"Yes," you nodded again, "I'd love to go on a date with you." You saw as she visibly relaxed.
"When are you free?"
"Umm.." you began as you sifted through the busy days ahead for a potential gap.
"Now?" Leighton offered and your eyes snapped to her.
"I mean- yeah?"
"Great." You felt Leighton take your hand and begin to lead you out of your room.
"I'm not changed."
"You don't need to be, plus you look cute in my pyjamas."
"Yours? They're mine now," you grinned as the door shut behind you and the two of you made your way out of the building.
"Do you have a plan?" You questioned as you stepped outside.
"Drive."

Those were the whispers I always hear the times I walk down the hallways, no matter where I am.
Sakusa's friend
The Woman who was his only exception.
Those words fill my heart with bitterness.
Because of the word 'friend'
They were right, I am talented like him. I am the best setter in the country. I am beautiful. My grades are still stable.
But our relationship will always still be in the so-called friendship.
Love is not his first priority. He could careless about it.
But I started to love him. A great Ace with a humble personality.
He should ask himself why I can't stop loving him.
Love that bloomed when we first met in the youth center for aspiring volleyball players.
That was the start of our story, of our friendship.
But never our love story.
Because no matter how perfect I am, no matter how much we are perfect in the eyes of others, I knew that feeling of acknowledgement would only stay as friends.
I could never ask for more no matter how much I wanted to.
Sakusa Kiyoomi
He was perfect. He has everything I wanted in a partner who I can spend my life with.
He has looks, he is a great player, he is a hard worker, and no matter how great a player he is, he was never prideful about it.
I love everything about him.
But our moments are always like acquaintances. I could never pass that line no matter how many years it has already been.
"I want you to love me. And I'll prove why I'm worth it"
That was the promise I declared wholeheartedly in our elementary days.
But he still feels so distant to me.
He acknowledged me, my love and talent. But never love anything I offered to him.
How am I lucky?
When my efforts seem to go to waste.
How can he love me?
"Senpai" a first year member of our team called out for me when she started to notice I was zoning out that made me look at the match in front of me.
A match where he lost the chance of being a consecutive champion.
I felt tears build up from my eyes when I saw the school's male volleyball team lose the rights to fight for the spot in the championship.
I hate it.
"Senpai... Let's greet them"
She tugged my sleeves like she is urging me to walk to greet the boys and I let my feet follow them.
And standing in front of him feels oddly cold.
So close but feels so far.
Maybe because of the bitterness I felt for him. But I can't blame him especially when it never occurs to him for loving anyone at all.
Right now I don't have the right words to say to him.
"I'll bring the victory to you"
Until those words left my lips.
That is a promise.
I love how his eyes gaze on my own before he nods in acknowledgement and proceeds to go to the locker room to wash up.
I silently yearn the moment he would finally love my efforts. The time where he would realize I am really serious about pursuing him. The moment he will feel proud of me.
I want to see the time where he would smile at me.
Because I just didn't wish for it. I worked for it.
I put sweat and tears to practice. To be a better player, match to him.
I work hard just to be seen. And I would never let go of this chance now that I am in the National Stage.
I'll bring the trophy to him.
I can hear the cheers in the stadium the moment I arrive at the end of the second set with us being in the losing end.
Because my body suddenly shut down from the quarterfinals we won yesterday.
Now that we are in the semifinals, I would not let the same bad luck be the reason why Itachiyama lost.
I am the female volleyball team's setter, the mastermind of every play. I don't want to lose therefore I can't leave.
26-25
The other team won the first set and on the lead on the second set.
The pressure was intense.
Especially when the coach immediately entered me in the game as I stood at the back.
This is my last chance...
I can't give up.
I'm not like his other fans who just wish and dream. I worked hard for it until I was deserving of it.
At this time, I want to be known by the world.
That I am the woman he should be proud of.
Those thoughts made me snatch the second set we almost lost.
Because I promise...
And I didn't realize that the match had finally ended, giving us the ticket to fight for the championship.
The time has finally come...
This is the chance I needed...
"I'm so close. So close"
Yet the night before the final day, my fever spiked up that I can barely breathe.
That's the day where I need to decide whether to play or put my health first.
But it was my dream. Not only for him but for myself too.
That's why my fever was left untold to my team members. Was kept as a secret to the coach.
Because I need to be in the court. At this moment, I need to be there.
That's why no matter how warm it was, no matter how dizzy I got, I kept going without looking back.
Because I finally decided that I will clutch the gold medal.
For our school, for our team, for our hardwork, and for him.
Even if I badly want to end it. I need to keep holding on to it.
Keep surviving.
Until we finally manage to take the last set we need to win.
That was the only time I got to breathe.
I felt my team embrace as we all fell to the ground in happiness.
Tears spill in my eyes as I finally got to laugh genuinely.
I did it
We did it!
Until the numb feeling of my body reminded me of the thing I chose to ignore.
After a few moments of celebrating, we handshake with the other team and while heading to the bleachers to take our supporters.
I felt the captain's hand on my back.
"Thank you because you keep going" she whispered as a small smile lifted from my lips.
"I have no regrets"
We bowed and thanked our supporters as I heard their cheers.
We didn't disappoint our school.
I looked up and saw the male volleyball team looking at us.
While his gaze was focused on me. I felt tears build up from my eyes as I showed a smile.
I was so happy, so happy I did it.
My happiness was immeasurable when I saw how his eyes seemed to rise a little that made my tears fall from my eyes.
Did I do it?
Did I finally make him smile.
My happiness was cut off short when my vision turned black. My own body is finally giving up on me.
It finally reaches its limit.
I started to wake up when I felt the cold towel on my forehead.
And his presence was the one that greeted me.
My eyes looked around and I saw I was in my hotel room and he was the one beside me.
"I'm sick Sakusa..."
I managed to stutter out before I felt the tiredness in my body.
"I know" he stated before he poured me a glass of water and set it on the side table.
He took a hold of my hand before he made me sit up. "You should drink"
He told me as I held the towel in my forehead and took the glass of water he was offering to me.
I drink all of it before setting it on the side table.
"Why are you the one with me?" I asked him before I removed the towel first so I could tie my hair up.
"Should I leave?"
He asked that it made me stare at him and saw he was wearing his mask as usual that made me sigh.
"It's just unusual for a person like you" I mumble as he took the comb before I managed to reach it.
"Let me"
I froze as I felt him touch my hair.
"Your actions are making me have second thoughts if you are really the Sakusa I know"
"Kiyo" I heard him mutter that made my breath hitched from his words.
"This is the only thing I can do" he started as I cherish this moment he was combing my hair for me.
"For a woman who almost risks her life just to not disappoint me" My heart warmed from his words as I looked over him through the mirror.
And I saw how my eyes turned glossy at that moment.
"You did a very dangerous thing there that your fever spikes up to 40°C" he continued before he put my hair in a ponytail.
"Never do that again"
I smiled at his words as I just decided to lean on the headboard so I can have more time to talk to him properly.
"I told you didn't I?" I finally spoke up the moment he took a seat on the end of the bed near me.
"I want to be worthy of a man like you. I want to bring the gold to you" his eyes found mine as I lift a small smile.
"Did I manage that? Those were the questions that first popped into my mind the moment we finally won" I breathlessly mutter as I played with my hands but not breaking off the eye contact from him.
"But only Sakusa Kiyoomi can answer that"
I felt how his eyes gloss a little that made me take a hold of his hand.
"Did I finally become worthy of your love?"
"The world made me feel average no matter how great I was" he managed to utter as I felt his hand tighten his hold on mine.
"Only you made me feel special"
"So Thank you"
"I really love you Kiyo" I stated clearly as I saw how thankful he was from how he gazed at our hands holding each other's palm.
"You made me start to treasure someone like you, Y/n"
And I can finally say without any hesitation.
That the first chapter of our love story officially began.

Screen time
Tumblr media
Synopsis : Soonyoung can only see you on his screen now.
Word count : 905
Pairing : Kwon soonyoung x reader
Genre : angst, lovers to exes
Warnings & note : TEARS, soonyoung's an ass, members mentioned, mention of alcohol, one (1) curse word, a few paragraphs are the literal lyrics lol, this fic does not represent his character in real life!
a.n : reading through the screen time lyrics translation today, WHY IS IT SO SAD???? anw sorry for my bad grammar
Tumblr media
“Come on soonyoung, it's been what? 2 hours and you still checking your phone” Jun said while patting soonyoung's back lightly.
It's been a year since they broke up, and soonyoung still can't let you go. The worst of it? He's the cause of the downfall of your relationship.
Soonyoung failed to realise that he's an ass throughout your 3 years relationship, and when he did, you cuss him out and start to pack your belongings.
“I still love her, jun. it hurts" Soonyoung held his left chest, feeling the pain from his heart, tears welling in his eyes waiting to fall every now and then.
Jun gives him a sympathetic look, soonyoung’s other 11 friends are also worried about him, he refused to do anything except checking his phone as minutes pass, and they are aware of the reason.
It’s you.
When they heard about your break up, they didn't dare to do anything because deep down they know, this is the best for you, even though soonyoung have to be a miserable man.
they've seen the way he treated you back then, seungcheol remembers, the way soonyoung don't want to come to your third anniversary dinner even when he say he would come, and he easily lied to you that he exhausted so he sleep early last night even in reality he go to a club with them.
They tried, and they really tried to talk to soonyoung about his relationship. You always have to message them to know about soonyoung's condition.
They saw your disappointed expression when you have to pick up soonyoung the night you're supposed to have an anniversary dinner.
And they know you're done taking soonyoung's shit when you have to pick him up, again, and with the same expression as the night of your anniversary.
So when soonyoung said you both broke up, they're not surprised at all. The least they can say is that soonyoung doesn't deserve you, and he never will.
The night of your break up, soonyoung seems fine, and he always said that to everyone, but as days passed, he seemed to worsen more
His eye bags are prominent, and everyone can point out that he's not sleeping for at least 2 days.
Meanwhile, they can see you grow happier, away from soonyoung. Joshua, along with Wonwoo, are in the same department as you, and he can see the way you would always smile genuinely now. Before your break up, your smile always seemed to be forced.
After 1 month, soonyoung always stared at his phone, hoping that you would update anything, anything to your social media. You blocked him as soon as your relationship ended.
Then, you did, you’re always updating your life through social media, and he can clearly see you look so happy without him. He learned that it was, in fact, true because when he sees your old post, you don't seem to be happier than now.
Soonyoung cried everynight, wanting no more than to have your relationship back, to have your attention back to him.
He missed waking up to your eyes, and now he has to see them on his screen, both of his hands are occupied holding onto your relationship, and he keeps forgetting there is no relationship until the night returns and he gives himself up to slumber.
It's hard to let go of your relationship.
You're living as if nothing happened between both of you, you're colder than he thought, he feels naked and his heart is cold without you.
his worries were in vain, you're doing just fine without him, from your words to your happy photographs, he actually relieved, you're getting better.
Because he knows you're not going to get better if you're still with him.
He always wants to contact you, asking you how have you been? How are things? Is work going well? Are you taking care of yourself? Do you have any regrets?
He can't stop checking up on you. He worries about you everyday and night.
Your smile once an arrow that guided him, now it pierces his heart, he used to hate the attention you gave him, now he misses the attention that you gave.
He knew his regret was meaningless, he's sorry for the time you spent with him.
The days fade into the distant horizon, and your memories rise and fall. It's late, but he's sorry.
In the end, you're both going through different separations.
He wants to ask you another question, are you broken like him? He wants to know what you're eating and drinking these days and what you find happiness in.
He always wonders, what are you wearing today? who makes you laugh, who holds your hands, where you are headed.
He's just curious. This is how he has been, miserable.
“Tell the others we're going to the club, they can join us, i think i need more drinks” Soonyoung said as he got up from the couch and took his jacket, wallet, and lastly his phone.
Not even a minute later, his phone let out a sound of a notification he just set for you, he quickly checked his phone and opened his social media.
It was a photo of you, but you're not alone. There's a man hugging you close.
his eyes finding your caption in a fast motion, his heart breaks, yet again.
my boyfriend is getting more clingy lately

Hi could you do something where black album era James and a fem reader go to a party but they grow needy so they go to the bathroom
I love this stuff and it was so fun to write, I also have a fic really similar to this one so I’ll link it here :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The party bustled loudly, and despite the noise, my brain was buzzing with a tension of its own. My boyfriend James, stood across the room with a friend of his, paying me a flirty glance every so often, followed by him adjusting the bulge in his jeans.
Every time he tried to hide his horniness, the flutter between my thighs inscreased.
There was a silent understanding between us. I knew he was horny, and he knew just as well that I was too.
I could see it in his eyes-the way he was looking at me.
The lust. It was simmering right under the surface, waiting for an excuse to explode. And that was exactly what we both wanted.
I glanced at the handsome man, quirking my head to motion to the bathroom.
He gave me a wink, and then nodded. I smiled and sat up from the couch, quickly moving to the bathroom, swaying my hips to tease him.
I snuck into the washroom. James wasn't far behind me, glancing around to make sure nobody noticed before slipping into the small space with me.
He pushed the door shut with a little more force than necessary, making it clear he had been longing for this moment all night.
Ache flicked the lock, sealing us in here together.
"Jesus Christ, you look sexy," James muttered before crashing his lips onto mine.
My back hit the door as our kiss turned desperate, but neither one of us cared. We didn't care about anyone or anything except each other, and that made everything else feel so damn good.
James pulled away, breaking the kiss with a soft groan. "Fuck, I can't wait much longer." His hands trailed down my stomach, coming to rest on my ass.
It wasn't long before we were violently stripping each other down.
James grabbed me with abandon, Liston game and sitting me up on the small sink counter.
Our eyes met again, this time a silent promise passed between us. This is it. No turning back.
We both knew this. Our lips crashed against each other once more, tongues tangling together. One hand gripped my waist while the other trailed up my side, until it found my breast.
Then he kneaded it gently, squeezing it lightly. My breath caught in my throat as he toyed with my nipple with his thumb and index finger. His touch was rougher than usual, but that only spiked my desire for him.
I ran my nails down his chest, loving the scratch of his hair against my palms. As soon as I touched his cock, I felt him twitch. He moaned softly.
I loved how responsive he was to me. I couldn't help but take advantage of it.
I stroked him up and down, not caring that I was sitting up on a random small sink. All I cared about was how good this man made me feel.
"I can't take it, I need to be in you."
He looked like he was going to tear apart if I didn't let him inside me. I was so close myself. The urge to have him was too strong to ignore any longer.
"Then do something about it," I taunted.
"You want this, don't you?" he growled, pulling his cock out of my hand. I nodded. "Yes." He slid in slowly, filling me completely. I leaned back, enjoying the feeling of fullness.
"Jamie!" I yelled, grabbing his shoulders. James was quick to press a finger to my lips. "Gotta be quiet, can you do that for me?"
I nodded. "Yes." He pounded into me hard and fast, making my legs tremble. The hard smack of our bodies filled the tiny space, but it did nothing to cover the moans and grunts we both let loose.
"Tell me how much you love it, use your words, I wanna hear that pretty voice," he demanded, the room filling with wet and obscene sounds.
I could hardly force out any sort of sentence. "L-love it." I huffed. "Come on, you can do better than that."
James sucked a breath through his teeth as J tightened around him. "Let me hear you." He demanded again.
"I love it... Jamie... I love it." He slammed into me harder and faster, using the counter and my hips to hold himself up.
I screamed, holding on for dear life. In response, he pressed his lips to mine and started humming, moving his body in tune with the sound. I was drowning in sensations, so many of them, Ilost control.
I clawed at his arms, trying desperately to get closer to him. He moved his lips from mine and whispered, "That's it, babyy."
He continued to whisper filthy things in my ear, telling me how good I was, how I felt so damn good wrapped around him. The wet sounds of sex echoed through the small space, creating a cacophony of noises.
I could barely think straight. The haze of pleasure was growing stronger by the second.
"Cum for me baby, I'm so close.." James groaned in my ear.
Instinctively, I wrapped my arms around his neck, holding him close as he pumped a few more times Until we were both writhing with our climax. I felt him shoot his cum deep into me, painting my insides.
We sat in silence for a minute or two, just breathing. Ilaughed softly, kissing James' cheek.
"Fuck, I can't believe we did that.."

i can see you
barty crouch jr x reader
summary: academic rivals to lovers with barty
word count: 2,5k
warnings: kissing, and idk, barty being barty ig, reader is pureblood
a/n: idk if i like this and i know that i don't like the ending but yeah
Tumblr media
You brush past me in the hallway And you don't think I, I, I can see ya, do ya? I’ve been watching you for ages And I spend my time trying not to feel it
you sense his gaze on you even before you can see him. you can feel how he watches you from the other side of the hallway. you can feel things that you shouldn't feel, especially when the cause of those feelings is barty crouch jr.
you know he's watching you. even with a girl under his shoulder. even when his friends are talking to him.
he's looking at you.
and you can feel as he practically pushes you when he brushes past you. giving you not more than a glare.
but the truth is, that he can feel you too. and maybe it's because he's been watching you for ages, but he's convinced himself that it's because you feel the same.
he can see as you watch him from your table in the library. even when there's a good looking guy talking to you, he knows that you're watching him. and that's the reason for much of his smirks.
But what would you do if I went to touch ya now? What would you do if they never found us out? What would you do if we never made a So-o-ound?
neither of you know how this happened. how a discussion about a grade turned into this.
"can you just shut up?" barty says, passing one of his hands through his hair.
"oh, so when you do better you get to laugh at me, but when i do i can't?" you question with a chuckle.
"no you can't"
"you don't tell me what to do barty" you roll your eyes and you're about to turn around, but the way you said his name changed something in him.
"what would you do if i went to touch you now?" you freeze at his words.
"you really can't stand getting a lower grade than me, do you?" you back up as he gets closer, until you have nowhere to go.
"i don't, i really don't" he caresses your cheek. "but isn't this exciting? i know you can feel it" his hand goes down and now he's stroking your neck. "they'll never find us out"
"wha-" you immediately shut up when you hear voices behind you, and that's when you realise that you ended up in some abandoned classroom. "we can't make a sound"
you tell him and then you're kissing him.
'Cause I can see you waiting down the hall from me And I could see you up against the wall with me And what would you do, baby, if you only knew That I can see you?
you're practically sure he's waiting for you down the hallway. with a new girl under his arms but it's still you he's looking for.
he brushes past you again, except this time his hand finds yours, but his gaze doesn't.
you're also practically sure that he's getting closer to you at lunch. because a few days ago you couldn't even see him, but now? you can't eat without listening to his voice or feeling his eyes on you.
And we kept everything professional But something’s changed, it's something I, I like They keep watchful eyes on us So it's best if we move fast and keep quiet You won't believe half the things I see inside my head Wait till ya see half the things that haven't happened yet
yet nothing really changed. you still glare at each other when the teachers are passing the grades. he still tells you that you have a shoulder to cry if you need one, darling when you get a lower grade. you still put your middle finger up at him when he flirts with you.
but something actually changed, something you like. because when class is over, you don't go to your room or to the library to study. instead, you go to a certain abandoned classroom. you go find a certain boy who claims he hates you.
"you still mad that i did better than you?" barty's already there, sitting on a table as you get closer to him.
"shut up" you know he won't shut up just with your words, so you do it with your lips. his hands go to your hair, and yours to the back of his neck.
"we have to find somewhere else, my friends are getting suspicious" he tells you, and the look on your face immediately tells him you're up to no good.
"we can go to my room" you suggest, shrugging.
"what?" he asks, knowing how risky it is.
"we can do it, no one really walks though this halls, we just have to move fast and keep quiet"
and that's what you do. until you find yourselves in the calm of your room.
But what would you do if I went to touch ya now? What would you do if they never found us out? What would you do if we never made a So-o-ound?
he knows it’s risky, he knows that people will see this and won’t think of the playful flirting he always does, he knows that he’s too close to you. but he also knows that that guy was flirting with you, and that it bothered him more than it should.
“what would you do if i went to touch you now?” he feels your hand on his chest, pushing him off, but he grabs one of your wrists and gets closer to you to whisper something in your ear. “what would you do if they never found us out?”
“what the fuck is wrong with you?” you get away from him and walk out of the party you just were in, away from the guy who was flirting with you, away from everyone. but not from barty, because you know that he’s going to wait at least five minutes and go find you.
“i’m sorry” he doesn’t even say hello when he finds you in the astronomy tower.
“you’re sorry? perfect, 'cause that fixes everything” you scoff, looking at the stars above you.
“he was flirting with you” he excuses himself.
“so that’s why you threw yourself at me like a toxic boyfriend?”
“i’m not toxic?” he actually looks offended when he talks.
“and you’re not my boyfriend either” he looks away from you.
"i know" he stays quiet for a moment, but there's this feeling in him that he can't let go of. "but he was flirting with you. and i know that everyone thinks we hate each other. we might even actually hate each other. but he was looking at you like you were nothing but a toy"
"what if i was flirting back?" you questions, looking at him.
"you weren't" he assures, meeting your gaze.
"how would you know" you chuckle.
"because i know how you look like when you flirt, i know how you lick your lips before saying something that will make the other person want to kiss you. i know how you tilt your head. how you stare at their eyes, then lips and then eyes again"
"congratulations, you know how i flirt, that still doesn't give you any right to do that"
"i know, i'm sorry" you sigh, knowing there's no use.
"it's okay. it's just that, people are gonna notice, you know? it's suspicious"
"and would that be such a bad thing?" he asks, already knowing the answer.
"yes it would, our families would kill us"
he doesn't say anything, because he knows it's true.
"so, everything's fine between us?" he asks.
"yes"
"are you sure?" you know that he won't believe your words, so you just grab his face and kiss him. and maybe you kiss him because of the family thing. because you want to tell him that you'll be fine even when you don't believe it.
'Cause I can see you waiting down the hall from me And I could see you up against the wall with me What would you do, baby, if you only knew
you know he's waiting for you outside the great hall, and you know he's pissed. you know he was staring as that girl flirted with you. you know he was staring as you touched her arm.
and you know that it's going to be fun when you find him at the end of an abandoned hall.
"hi bar-" you don't get to finish, because as soon as you get close to him, your back is against the wall.
he's kissing you. and you can barely breathe. and he's not stopping. he's kissing your lips, your neck, and he's going lower when he suddenly pulls away.
"what would you do, baby, if you only knew?" his hands are on the wall, on both sides of your head.
"if i only knew what?" you frown, not ignoring the pet name.
"i know what you're doing" he chuckles, because he really knows.
"what am i doing?"
"touching her arm like that? knowing that i was watching" he strokes your cheek, and you immediately go back to how this started. weeks ago after a stupid test.
"maybe i like her?" you tell him, even though both of you know it's not true.
"yeah sure" he grabs your jaw, and then he's kissing you again.
That I can see you? Throw your jacket on the floor I could see you, make me want you even more And what would you do, baby, if you only knew That I can see you?
you know you shouldn't be doing this. you shouldn't be dragging him to your room. not when any of your friends could see you. not when anyone could be in the common room and see you as you lead him to your room.
but you saw him at the party, his jacket, his hair, his face. and you knew that what people think is fake flirting wouldn't be enough.
you just wish that people don't get suspicious when you both disappeared.
"what's happening?" he says in between kisses. because you practically threw yourself at him as soon as you entered your room.
"nothing" you assure him, pulling away to breathe.
"this looks like something" you stare at him as he takes his jacket off. and suddenly it's in the floor. and suddenly his hand is in the back of your neck, and the other is in your waist.
"you're making me want you even more" you whisper, and he smiles.
"good"
I can see you in your suit and your necktie Pass me a note saying: Meet me tonight Then we kiss, and you know I won't ever tell, yeah And I could see you being my addiction You can see me as a secret mission Hide away and I will start behaving myself
you knew he was going to the party. you just didn't expect him to be in a suit and necktie. although it makes sense. it's a pureblood party after all.
and you know you can't talk to him like you'd do in a hogwarts party, so you have to settle for just brushing past him.
and it’s like the fifth time you’ve done that when you feel him passing you a note, when you open it, you smile when you see what it says meet my at midnight - the hottest person here(at the furthest balcony btw).
once it's midnight and your family is drunk enough, you slip away and slowly walk to the balcony, where barty is already waiting.
"i thought it was supposed to be the hottest person? why are you here?" you joke as you walk to stand in front of him.
"you're here, so i guess i'm still right" you laugh, and he puts his hands on your waist. "hi"
"hi" you smile at each other.
"do you ever think about, not hiding?" he asks.
"barty" you tell him, glaring at him.
"i know, i know, our families, yeah. but, at this point you're an addiction and i don't want to see you like you're a fucking secret mission" he puts his forehead on yours, closing his eyes.
"i'm sorry… but, you know what will happen. we can't risk that. besides, isn't it funny acting like we hate each other?" you pull away and smile at each other before you kiss him.
"yeah, especially when i get to flirt with you in front of everyone" he smirks, his hand on the back of your neck.
"they think that i get red from anger when i'm actually just blushing" you admit, before kissing him again.
I can see you waiting down the hall from me And I could see you up against the wall with me And what would you do, baby, if you only knew
you know he's at the party, of course he is. you also know that you look good, and that the guy who's in front of you is flirting with you right know. but you're more focused on barty walking towards you.
he steps in front of you, completely blocking your view from the other guy, who gets long forgotten when barty puts one of his hands on your cheek.
"what are you doing?" you whisper, because you notice the people staring at you. and you notice how he looks at you. how he looks at your lips.
"please don't get mad at me" he whispers, and you don't have a chance to answer because he's kissing you. in front of everyone.
but you don't care. you just kiss him back, your hands on the back of his neck and your body leaning into him.
you know people are talking about you. they started when barty put his hand on your cheek. they definitely do when you two kiss. and they keep doing it when you grab his hand and lead him out of the party.
once you're at your room, you're against the wall.
"that was crazy, what were you thinking?" you try to argue, but he's kissing you again.
"we'll talk about that tomorrow"
That I could see you? Throw your jacket on the floor I could see you, make me want you even more And what would you do, baby, if you only knew That I can see you? Oh, I can see you
"it's not fair, how the fuck did you get that grade? we did the same" barty groans as he enters your room, throwing his jacket on the floor just to lie on your bed.
"i did better than you" you reply, lying next to him.
"yeah sure, whatever makes you sleep at night" you laugh as he moves to face you.
"i still got the better grade so… " you tease, smiling.
"i know it shouldn't, but that makes me want you even more" he confess, stroking your cheek.
"i know" you smile, looking at his eyes.

brighter than a shooting star
Wrecker x fem!reader
summary: While period cramps almost destroy a wonderful evening, Wrecker has a great idea to make it perfect instead.
warnings/vibe: period & cramps, reader has hair (it's mentioned that it's brushed in a sentence), softness, sweetness and some kisses on the cheek for wrecker!
words: ~1410
a/n: hello everyone! i was like, preparing myself for having my period. at the same time i was super sad that no one went to watch the perseids with me. sooo this is the outcome of that situation. also, this of course fits perfectly with the stargazing and the "you really think you're going without me? not going to happen." prompts of @summer-of-bad-batch. i hope you enjoy!

Tumblr media
Tonight is a special night.
You've heard it all over the news: There will be shooting stars all over the night sky!
The last time you've seen some of them was several years ago, but you remember it as clearly as it was just yesterday: You and your best friend at that time, sitting in your garden. Blankets around you, keeping you warm from the cold night. You're joking around and talking, while looking up into the sky. And then, here and there, you see some bright lines across the sky.
It was such a beautiful event, and every time you think back to it, you just think about how lovely it was.
It was the first and last time you saw any shooting stars.
Until today.
Tonight is a community night on Pabu, and a few villagers and you decided to settle down at the beach and look at the sky.
Of course, the Batch, and especially Wrecker, are with you.
Since the execution of Order 66 you are practically inseparable. You went through thick and thin: lost Crosshair, met Cid, fought against Cross, made friends, thought you lost Tech, lost Omega, got Tech back, got Crosshair and Omega back, lost Omega another time, and then, finally, got her back for the final last time. And then you settled down on Pabu. Together.
In that time, you also grew closer with Wrecker. Much closer.
So close, that you finally confessed your feelings to him, and he returned them. Still does.
So close, that you indeed are together now, even some years after the fall of Tantiss.
And you love each other like it's the first day.
Surrounded by your loved ones, under the sea of stars, in Wrecker's warm and loving arms, waiting for the shooting stars, it should be the perfect evening.
You've been excited about this day for weeks.
But it just isn't.
You can't believe that a small incident like your period seems to ruin this whole, lovely evening. But it does.
You are uncomfortable, your stomach is aching, you actually feel kind of nauseous and you could run to the toilet every few minutes. Except there isn't a toilet nearby.
In short - you feel horrible and could start crying just at this moment.
"Hey, what's up?" Wrecker asks in this second. Oh, your sweet, attentive boyfriend. Always there when you needed him.
"I don't feel good," you say to him, leaning in a little closer.
"Is there anything I can do?" he asks, but you just shake your head.
"No, it's just my period. I think I need to go home, take a hot shower and just sleep until tomorrow. I think it'll be better then," you whisper, and Wrecker nods.
"Just let me say goodbye to anyone, then we can go, alright?"
"What? No, no worries. I want you to have fun with your brothers tonight," you say, not wanting him to pass out on that.
"You really think you're going without me? Not going to happen," he says playfully and grins at you.
"But I know you were excited about this evening, so you should enjoy it as planned," you try to convince him, but at the same time you're quite relieved that he doesn't want to leave you alone.
"Well, yes! But I was just so excited because you made me excited. I wanted to spend this evening with you, and I still want to," he explains and gets up, taking you with him. You feel like your heart just melts away at his sweet words.
The two of you say goodbye to his brothers and his sister, he packs your small picnic blanket and together you start your slow walk to your shared home.
You put your hand in Wrecker's, start to lean into his side, and put your head onto his shoulder, cumbersome.
"Do you really want to take a nap or would you still like to spend the evening together?" Wrecker asks after some minutes.
There's just the sound of the waves, some animals that are rustling in the bushes, your breathing, and the sound of your steps that echo through the quiet night. You already feel better. It's a lot less input for your exhausted body, and the walking does some good for your abdominal pain.
"If you want to, we can cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie," you suggest and the smile that appears on his face instantly makes you beam back.
"I think I know something better!"
He doesn't elaborate his idea further, but the smug grin that paints his face makes an anticipating, happy shiver run down your spine.
When you finally arrive at home, Wrecker ushers you into the bathroom, and on the way he grabs your pajama, stuffing it into your arms. "I'll come get you, yeah? Don't peek!" he calls after you before stepping out of the room, already making his way downstairs again.
You shake your head and try to make yourself feel better and more comfortable in the bathroom, cleaning your face, brushing your hair and putting on your sleeping clothes.
It takes some time in which you hear him stumbling and rumbling around downstairs. Oh dear, you hoped he wouldn't organize a big chaos down there. But then he finally comes back and knocks on the door.
"Are you ready?" he asks and you can hear his smile through the door.
"Yes!" you say and push down the door handle, revealing Wrecker, also just in his pajama.
"Come with me!" he says and gently takes your hand again, to pull you towards him.
He guides you through the halls and down the stairs. You expect him to have prepared something in the living room, but it's completely dark inside when you cross it.
But then you take a look outside and you feel how your mouth falls open.
In the trees are small fairy lights, which illuminate the hammock hanging beneath them.
There's a small table pulled up next to said hammock, with bowls with fresh fruit and some not as healthy snacks, and some mugs. You know Wrecker very well, so you're very sure it's hot chocolate.
"Wrecker- What?" you ask, a little overwhelmed by the little cozy corner he created within minutes.
"I know you've been excited about that event. And I hope you're comfortable enough for to still enjoy it like this. Just executed a little... differently," he says, scratching his head a little.
"Oh, Wrecker!" you finally gasp and lay your arms around him, pulling him down to you.
"You're so sweet, Wrecker. You have no idea how much this means to me, thank you so much!" you whisper and kiss his cheek a few times. His scars are a little uneven under your lips, but so, so familiar.
Wrecker laughs and puts his arms around your hips, pulling you against him. "Aww, Mesh'la. Of course!" he exclaims and you feel like loving him just a little more.
The leads you over to the hammock and takes place. There are some soft pillows and even softer blankets, and he wraps one around himself. Then he pulls you onto him and wraps you up just like himself.
He reaches over and carefully grabs one mug to give it to you. You're honestly amazed he doesn't spill anything. When he safely holds his own mug, too, you clink them together, looking into each other's eyes that shine just like the stars above you.
You finally lay down together, his warm body a unique comfort for you. Wrecker turns off the fairy lights, and the stars above you that aren't hid behind the leaves of the tree start to appear in your field of vision.
And suddenly, everything is fine again.
You're here with Wrecker, the love of your life. He's comforting you because sometimes your own body seems to hate you. The stars above you are so pretty, the warm hands around you so loving and assuring, and sometimes that is everything you need to make you feel better.
When you see the first shooting star on this evening, you make a wish for the two of you.
That you will never lose each other.
That you will always be there for each other.
That you will always love each other.
At that moment you feel like it doesn't matter how wonderful the shooting stars are, when the love between you and Wrecker shines even brighter.

https://www.tumblr.com/zweiginator/755808237660553216/obsessed-with-actorpatrick-omg-i-need-to-know
So you start being more cold towards Patrick and you decide you’re not letting him in anymore. You want to focus on yourself, this movie, and your career. You’re spending more time away from the set as possible and not many people notice except one person in particular. Nobody notices who down your energy has been besides this person. He’s a nobody really🤷‍♀️ no one on set really knows much about him. They think he’s good for one thing - coffee running. Art Donaldson, the boy who asks you what you want in the morning or late night. Letting the extras and side actors know it’s lunch time when they’re in their trailers which he’s never had a problem with before… until he has to start getting you out of your trailer. He’s nothing like Patrick at all in fact he’s more of a lover boy… maybe that’s someone you need….
(Patrick confuses himself when he sees you giggling with the nobody coffee runner before a scene take and starts to feel a certain way..)
yes and im imagining you and art are around the same age, but patrick is about 10 years older.
you've become a lot colder towards patrick. he asks you to dinner to talk about the movie, the script, life--but you see right through it. you know he craves more since the incident, as you dramatically call it in your mind. but you just can't give him the satisfaction of knowing he'll always hear yes, no matter what. has a woman ever told patrick zweig no? it seems unlikely, with how he's acting towards you. he's not being rude or entitled per se, he's just frustrated. it's clear he really thought he had you wrapped around his finger, that you had fallen for his siren song. and you had, originally. but you have been working avidly to reverse the effects he has on you.
instead of pulling your hair down and blotting berry lipstick on your lips during set breaks, you read in the sun. you don't frequent patrick's trailer anymore, and you distract yourself with new friends and new hobbies and it's healthier for you. you feel better.
and of course, you still feel those pangs of yearning when he's nearby and you can smell the musk of tobacco and his thousand dollar cologne, but you bite the inside of your cheek and allow it to pass. as much as it can, at least.
you've been striking up conversations with the director's personal assistant. he mostly gets lunch catered and takes coffee orders. does little tasks around set that nobody else wants to be bothered to do. but art is always happy to do them. he knows how you prefer your cold brew, now that it's hotter outside. and, seeing how down you seem today, art hands you a pastry. it's filled with raspberry and cream cheese and you wonder how he knows you've been eyeing it at the cafe down the street for weeks.
you split it with him. and you talk for hours and hours while the director and producers perfect the set and wait for the wind to stop howling from the brewing storm.
and maybe, stuck in your lust for patrick zweig, you didn't realize how many handsome, doting men are right in front of you.
art is your age, and the blond curls that frame his face are golden with roots of a deeper brown. his eyes are two different colors, and the skin around them crinkles when he smiles at you, when he makes you laugh. you look at his lips; they are plump and smoother than patrick's.
you like how art is more anxious around you. it reveals to you that he's a normal boy. one who has faced rejection, who trembles at the thought of a first kiss. you like that about him.
patrick watches you and art share the pastry, taking turns sipping from the same coffee cup. he watches how art looks down at his shoes when you thank him for making you feel better. and patrick feels a strange jealousy when you slip a post it note in his hand, your phone number scrawled in blue ink.

For a Slice of Cake
The day had been long in the tooth and the two finally aligned in time together with a whole weekend to look forward to. Superhero movie marathon. Pantry full of snacks. Chinese takeout leftovers for dinnertime. Nighttime reading for lightweight and heavyweight divisions. It felt good to have an apartment space meant for couples only fun. Very vanilla. Very routine.
Nothing ever stayed truly routine with these two however.
"Raph, you know I can't handle it when you use the tickle jitsu! Get away from me!"
Emmy tried to make a break for the next room over, only to be yoinked off her feet by her bigger turtle partner. She had her favorite camisole on and sports shorts for maximum flexibility. They weren't much help in escaping her current situation.
Raph playfully pulled her into a one armed grip, his free arm ready to 'attack' her weak points. He had his usual fit on except the ninja wraps. Didn't need them for this slippery target. "How dare you inhale that cake slice like a savage, you miscreant."
Emmy struggled and squirmed like a cat. "Not my fault you're being extra soft and slow on my account. I love when you wait on me like a gentleman, but it makes for fun getting away with anything around you."
At that remark, Raph lifted Emmy over his shoulder in one quick swoop. No amount of hitting and kicking by her fazed him, he'd have a cut on his lip by now if she really wanted to hurt him. With girlfriend secured, he moved her and himself over to their massive couch. This was a heavy investment piece, with enough space and support made for mutant alligator snappers who could pass out anytime of the day.
Raph plopped her on his lap, arms secured around her torso for further grilling. "Well we're not going anywhere until I know for sure it’s all gone. What’re you gonna do about that?"
Emmy fluttered her eyes up at him. "Maybe I still got cake frosting on me if you're lucky. You got the better angle tho to check if I'm really clean."
Big red turtle man keened down on her, his exaggerated fake scowl slowly forming into a cheeky grin. "Raph's gonna mess you up for that talk."
Emmy shuddered as he started cuddling her up. Raph made good on his word and also started playfully poking her to get her giggling. Nothing and nowhere risque, he just really enjoyed her bubbly laughter. How she buried into his chest when she tried to muffle her occasional cackling outbursts. It did help that she gave him a whole cheat sheet, and as they did this more frequently, Emmy was constantly thinking up new strategies so he wasn't having too easy a time figuring her out.
Raph’s usual mode of 'friendly soft giant' was always nice, but she's head over heels for him when he’s a little less restrained in all that he does for her. He had of course voiced wanting to sometimes act on raw muscle, to which Emmy assured him in kind she's a tough cookie who can handle it and like it a little rough.
She can be affectionately rough like him right now.
Would this be an intrusive thought though? She had to know he'd feel it.
**CHOMP**
Raph's eyes flew open to see Emmy really sinking her teeth in on his snout. This feeling wasn't new, but damn she really had been full of little surprises since they started being together. And positively crazier now that they have their own crib.
She didn’t seem to pick up he'd caught onto her literally smitten on him.
"You're biting me?"
Emmy's eyes opened at his question. She regarded him in a state of confusion before the slow realization hit and she let him go slowly. "Haha, oops, when did that happen?"
Raph let her go entirely as he patted a hand over his snout. "You really bit me!"
Emmy put a hand to her mouth. "I didn't draw blood, did I?"
Raph didn’t feel broken skin or anything like it under his fingers. The initial tingle was already gone, but something about that sneak attack still seemed to stick.
"Don't think so. But mind telling me what that was about?"
Emmy averted her eyes as she fidgeted her mask tails. "I don't know. Maybe I read this as a thing turtle partners do with each other."
She continued to fidget as she flustered for the right words. "I thought since we do these clockwork couch cuddles, maybe you would like something with more teeth to it. I really wanna match how much you already give me every time. Adding more to that face value."
Raph's done his share of quick turtle courtship reading and his eyes lit up piecing it together. "Y'mean like the face tapping?"
"Uhm yeah, that." Emmy trailed off before half-heartedly laughing. "Sorry, is the biting… too weird for you?"
Raph seemed to ponder on it, and Emmy felt herself wilting on the spot. Was that stare he was giving her a good or a bad one?
"Now you got me thinking how I wanna try it on you."
Emmy stopped fidgeting. She had half expected this answer, but she hadn’t expected how straightforward he was about wanting to try. "Wait, really?"
Raph shrugged. "I mean, between the four of us knucklehead brothers, I lost count how many times we bit each other over anything. Dad had to carry a newspaper or swatter so we'd let go. Just never thought to try it on someone who ain't family, and not that way."
That way. Emmy's face rapidly turned red at the scenarios in her head, and Raph hastily amended extra assurance with shaking arm motions.
"If you're okay with it first of course!"
"Oh. Ohhhh," Emmy struggled on followup. "U-Um, Raph, know that I do trust you with my life, you have a winning smile 24/7, you're the best at kissing me head to toe. I would be lying tho if I wasn't a little nervous about bites from you. And uh…"
Raph didn’t look away as he intently hung to her every word. "I’m listening."
"I really am sorry I sprung that on you," Emmy blushed as she tucked in on herself. "I wanted to be grand about giving back as much as you give me. I still sometimes feel I'm all take and no give with you, even with all the tricks I pull. I can't swing you around the way you’re always doing it with me. I'm never enough in my head."
It was all Raph could do to hug her on the spot, but maybe Emmy needed to be held differently here. She was so so much more than her size, physical or other.
He reached for her hands. "You’re enough for me. Maybe it would be nice for Raph to be held or carried in bigger arms, sure." He proceeded to lean over so their heads touched. "But then I know I’d have to give up how we butt heads like this, the eyes and small hands that see/take care of little scratches on my back, a shell size just right for my head to rest on. I wouldn’t trade those away for anything."
He gave her hands a firm squeeze. "You being in Raph's life like this? All the biggest experience he could ever want. All you gotta know. You’ll always be enough, bonita."
His girlfriend snickered at the left field pet name. "You've secretly been word training!"
Raph smirked. "That’s what you get loving a ninja turtle who's stupid dedicated to any training."
Emmy visibly relaxed at his word play and found her smile again. "Yeah, okay. I’m down for it now. But can we start small?"
"Absolutely," Raph guided her hands so they cupped his face. "Wanna give me a dental once over first?"
Emmy giggled as she did a quick glance over of him, Raph’s head completely rested in her hands. She idly rubbed her thumbs on him as he slowly bared his teeth. He really did take immaculate care of his pearly whites since he was finally off the corrective braces. Emmy and him both were so glad he got to keep his signature snaggletooth look. Up close, it was hard to believe his set of intimidating chompers was capable of saying the sweetest things and mostly free of meanness.
"Looking and smelling like minty fresh breeze to me, big fella."
Raph shut his lid. He looked quite pleased with himself. "Thank you, I try."
Emmy squished his cheeks together. "I bet you a dollar you're more excited about this than I am."
His smile only got wider and toothier at her assumption. "How would you like to be treated, my queen?"
Raph’s eyes didn’t leave her, and he also didn’t move as Emmy had him wait. Her hands eventually pulled away from his loosened grip. She laid down on the sofa, with only her head propped up against an arm rest. Her thighs and arms folded towards herself. She looked back up at him before making both a face and a noise that can only be described as impish–and inviting.
"Come here and mess me up, 'good boy'."
At 'good boy', Raph felt electric. He silently shifted to loom over Emmy topside, right where he wanted her. She looked beyond cute at this angle under him.
"This is entirely your fault for being so dang sweet and saucy, by the way. Close your pretty eyes for Raph."
Emmy did just that, breathing in deep and sinking into the sofa as though she was in a bathtub. His breath felt warm, but also cooling from the lingering menthol. She could feel his scraggly chin dig into the crook of her neck as he sniffed her down. His usual musk of ‘happy’ took hold of her senses. It was a strong earthy smell every time he leaned in this close.
With this new angle to his maw, Emmy could take in the hesitant, cool tongue licks against her skin. She could feel the edge of his snaggletooth glide over her face, a mix of delicate strokes and gentle pressure. It never ceased to amaze her how much deliberate self control he had, his size never a hindrance to his movements. In and out with precision. Ebb and flow that kept her guessing. Completely valid application of master ninja techniques.
Emmy wasn't completely lost at the moment though. She opened one eye to see how much he was enjoying this. Raph once again made off with an idea she got them both into and doing all the work. His scent made it hard to think straight.
"Nnngh, Raphael."
Raph gradually intensified the earlier motions. Hungry. Famished. Emmy quietly grasping for his proper name only goaded him on to keep on giving. Make sure every inch of her face was lovingly caressed the best way his chops could appreciate. She was her own tier of plush softness unlike anything else. Silky smooth cheeks, a ticklish chin, familiar lips that tasted so jazzy fresh without fail.
Maybe he'll save that for last? It was too much fun riling Emmy up now.
Emmy was stiff as a board while Raph nuzzled and nipped. Every time she tried to bite her lower lip, she could feel Raph tug back at it, stopping short of kissing her outright. The nerve. His licks were brief, but eager like a puppy's. And that tongue, he did not disappoint flexing it physically as much as he did with words only meant for her ears. Oh gods. Emmy won't hear the end of it if Raph starts calling her his squeaky toy after this play biting experiment was over.
She wanted so badly to give back as he was giving now. Her hands wanted to cradle his head again. Or arms to loop around his neck. She had to give back now. Reach out. But she was stopped in her tracks when she felt one wrist restrained. Raph also paused his ministrations.
Emmy dared a peek to see her turtle man so focused on her. He looked very determined. She felt her cheeks heating up at his stupidly steely gaze.
"Safe word?"
"No, but–"
"Then let Raph finish."
"Raphael–"
His mouth fell on hers to shut her up and immediately Emmy saw stars with the sudden tongue-to-tongue contact. Both of them sunk completely into the couch. Both her hands were also now pinned under Raph's. Their fingers intertwined in short order. She could really take in the minty mouthwash he was on when he's in this deep. He pressed forward and maintained his pace, his bigger tongue doing all the swirling and savoring movements. Her whole body trembled from all the sensations, and it took a bit of time to compose the big thoughts.
He was her everything right here and now. Or she was everything to him? It made her heart race and belly flutter in butterflies at both thoughts.
If he wasn't gonna let her touch, she's gonna make this kiss something he won't soon forget in other ways. She had to. But how to without her hands?
Raph eventually pulled away without warning and it sent Emmy reeling on the exit. His mouth didn’t really leave her for long however, as she soon realized.
He went back in with renewed determination, alternating between the teeth grazing, small kisses and nibbles all over her pretty face. Her exposed neck and shoulders were lovingly attended to in the same manner. He felt Emmy go a little limp at his hurried onslaught. She'd completely given up on form, reduced to making small tickled noises or slurred, churring words on how good he was doing. How he was too good to her. How he was always, always a good boy.
One last affectionate nibble to her cute snoot, and Raph returned Em's earlier gesture in full. And a parting gift of a smooch on the same spot for good measure. He let her wrists go, slowly withdrew back to give her breathing space and looked down on her.
She looked like a deer in headlights, blinking dazed and mouth a little hung open.
Despite his work and all the positive affirmation earlier, he needed to hear her feedback loud and clear. "So, how'd I do?"
Emmy was still dazzled in place taking in the last five minutes of everything. "I am never taking your smiles for me for granted ever again."
Raph beamed, even as Emmy got her senses back, crossed her arms and gave him a puffed up pout. "But you didn’t let me bite back either, you monster."
"Cake theft."
Emmy had completely forgotten about her earlier transgression. "Okay, fair."
Raph eventually helped her up so they were both sitting facing each other. "Were you scared at all through it?"
Emmy replayed the moments in her head. "A little, but some fear made it fun. You wanna go back for seconds and take a bigger bite of me right now?"
Raph's face immediately scrunched funny. Conflicted, nervous and redder all at once. "I–"
"Just teasing!" Emmy cheekily stuck her tongue out and pressed a finger to his lips. "We'll train up to that level like always. I promise neither of us are gonna hurt bad with practice. And I know you’re all about serious training, my king."
Raph’s earlier doubts instantly vanished at her assured words. Emmy quickly scooted up and planted a kiss to his cheek. "To my amazing and wonderfully talented boyfriend. I’ll be better about the intimate warnings." He churred at her show of affection. "Mmm. Sounds good to me."
It felt bizarre to be grounded again after what just happened. It took a bit, sorting out all the thoughts, but Raph finally remembered what started it all.
"Thank you for being you, Em. Forget the bet, but I really am hungry for sweets."

hi love! maybe a Spencer Reid request where reader is obsessed with collecting trinkets, calico critters, and/or sonny angels. He doesn’t understand it until he opens one himself and then gets obsessed too. Maybe it becomes their thing after a bad case/tiring day?
don’t know if you’ll see this but ty if you do <3
aaahhhhh i love sonny angels!!! i used to have a cherry one on my phone case named soda pop- but he got decapitated when i dropped him too many times :(
so, because i am self-indulgent- sonny angels win!
****
he notices one day, the little baby figurine on your desk. it's new, with bunny ears on its head. his first instinct is that it's a toy for jack. but jack comes and goes that day, and the trinket is still in the same spot.
he wants to ask, maybe it slipped your mind, but holds himself back. it's none of his business. except- a few days later- he spots that penelope has one of the things in her lair. and luckily for him, penelope is always eager to share her findings. so he asks.
apparently, they were called "sonny angels"?? she tells him how they are adorable little collectibles that come in hundreds of different variations. and it's a mystery each time.
a few more days pass after that, filled with the angst of a case gone awry. spence had been tense the whole time, the case hitting too close to home. but with you by his side- he felt like he could manage just a little better.
the next day he comes into the office, two coffees in hand. one for him, and one for you. it was his little way of saying thank you for being there for him. he wasn't too great at voicing his feelings, especially the sappy ones. so he liked to stick to acts of service and gift-giving. he placed the coffee on your desk, then made his way over to his corner.
except, this time he had a little gift wrapped package square in the center of his desk. it was shoddily wrapped, and he wondered who it was from. for a brief second, his overactive imagination tried to convince him it was going to be something gruesome. some crazed lunatic dropping off a finger or a miniature bomb. maybe he should lay off the caffeine after all?
but when he saw you trying to subtly watch him from your desk- he knew he was safe. written on the wrapping was a little note saying, "this is for you, stalker. thanks for being an angel."
he unwrapped it as delicately as possible, wanting to save the note for his box of sentiments at home. just because he couldn't voice the feeling well, didn't mean it wasn't there for him. once he finished, one of the little angel babies was looking back at him.
his heart did a stupid little flutter. he had been asking around, partly because he was looking for himself, but also because he was looking for you. he had wanted to get matching ones or something, not really sure how the whole concept worked.
he opened up the box and saw a head of hydrangeas peeking out.
you watched as he pulled the exact one you were hoping he would pull, and couldn't contain yourself any longer.
bounding over to his desk, bouncing on the tips of your toes you said, "hey- where did you get that?"
he matched your cheeky smile, "not sure, maybe pen? she has one of these on her desk too."
"oh, whatever. she told me you were asking around about my little white rabbit over there. so i decided to save you the hassle."
he just laughed with you, "thank you. but seriously, where do you get these?"
"no way, i can't reveal my secrets."
morgan and emily, interested in the commotion from the other side of the room wandered over to the pair of you.
"wait, how come i don't have one of these little guys?"
safe to say, that in the coming weeks, everyone was sporting little sonny angels on their desks.
but spencer and you continued the little tradition. after a tough case, or even just a bad day, whoever was hurting more would receive a little gift.
you- being a tad dramatic, had more bad days than spencer. so he stuck to his coffee-giving habit for you.
while spence tended to rarely show his bad days. but when he did, he knew that the next day, a new angel would appear on his desk.

Wip, Shanks & Mihawk having the Conversation, a bit more serious take on their reconciliation, it will have a happy ending, this is old men communicating.
Tumblr media
It isn't a problem, not really.
Except that Shanks can't avoid the rush of crushing dread the moment Mihawk climbs on top of him and glances at his stump.
It’s not a problem, and honestly, he could do without talking about it. Back in the day they said their piece: he highly doubts he can get his point across any better now.
Staring at the swordsman, he refuses to acknowledge the sheer awkwardness of the whole, trying to have this conversation when they’re both half naked situation, and effectively waits for Mihawk to kill the mood.
The silence in the room is deafening.
He wonders what the other is preparing to say— and tenses up as if brazing himself for a storm. Instantly, he looks back at the last couple of days, but he can’t pinpoint an incident related to his stump that might have made the swordsman uncomfortable, and then feels really stupid for even trying to do so.
It has been Mihawk’s third visit after— well, everything. He has brought another couple of bounty posters of Luffy and Zoro, as he’s taken to do, and has told him the last bit of gossip. They have danced around the fact that the swordsman was going to spend the night and then acted surprised when the hour had advanced long enough to make the swordsman sailing away a rather uncomfortable option.
The migraine has crept on him during the next day.
It hasn't even been that bad, given what he's used to. Just a dull ache in his shoulder, paired with a vague dizziness. Enough discomfort to make him bury his face in what turned out to be Mihawk’s chest when Lucky Roux has called for breakfast, and then bail out of one or two of their plans for the day.
He’s not afraid of telling Mihawk. He’s mature enough to acknowledge that the swordsman’s entire problem is— well, that. The fact that wielding Yoru is so intrinsicate to his identity that he cannot conceptualize anyone giving up on being a swordsman, which Shanks hasn’t, and if only just listened to what he has to say, he could—
“What’s going on?”.
Shanks blinks and— blinks again. Mihawk’s words throw him out of the loop with enough force that for a moment he forgets to be annoyed, which in turn makes the other frown.
Bright golden eyes fixate on him with a hint of concern. It's kind of ridiculous, really, with that wide brimmed hat of his sitting askew on dark locks. Pitifully, the image pulls at his heartstrings.
He knows he’s being unfair. The problem is not only the swordsman and his painful refusal to put his feelings into words. It’s not as if he hasn’t also been avoiding this conversation with the vain hope that the issue might resolve on its own. The way Mihawk has waltzed back into his life has been entirely unexpected and, truth be told, he didn't want to ruin it.
And there he is, again, following patterns he promised himself he was never going back to. Ten years have passed and Mihawk still makes him feel like a heartbroken teenager.
Gently, but firmly, he pushes the other away until they’re both sitting on the couch.
“You look—” disappointed, “uncomfortable”, he starts, hesitating for a moment as the other’s frown deepens and then adding in a rush: “Which is fine. I don’t want you to put yourself in any position you don’t want just to, I just want to make sur—”.
“You don’t make me uncomfortable”, Mihawk cuts him off, baffled and… sad?
It makes his throat clog, for some dumb reason. He already regrets opening his mouth, dreading the moment he knows he's going to lose his cool in the face of Mihawk's unshakable demeanor.

Hello! I was wondering if you could write a Mighty Nein version of the hiding in the alley together Bell's hells scenario you wrote? I really loved your Bell's hells one! Thanks!
Thank you darling! I love that post so much too 🥰
Bell's Hells version 💙
Tight Squeeze (hiding in an alley together)
Beau 💜
You're standing on her toes, and her elbow is poking harshly into your side, and you both just don't know where to look. "Sorry, I'll scoot over a little bit-" "No, wait, hang on a sec-" Awkward scrambling ensues. You whisper and try to convince her to put up with the closeness until you guys are safe, but she. Just. Won't. Listen. Eventually, her squirming has you both off centre and reaching for each other for balance, and she murmurs a quiet: "... oh."
Beau isn't a romantic, never has been, and she's never really gazed into someone's eyes as purposefully as she is right now. You're fucking gorgeous. How has she never stopped to just look at you before? Have you always been so... You blink in confusion as she seems to soften, ever so slightly, calming down enough to breathe in sync with you.
You feel a palm drag itself up your arm, up, up, up until she finally cradles your jaw. And you both stand there, unmoving, for who knows how long, before she eventually tears herself away from you and the alley with a grumble. You take a moment to recover from the intense look in her eye, running after Beau only when she calls your name to hurry up.
-
Caleb 💜
His mouth is puckered in a tight frown as he looks anywhere but your face. It's an incredibly tight squeeze where you've found yourselves, so narrow that you're effectively pinning the wizard to the wall behind him. Your palms rest flat at either side of his neck and his hands have curled into little fists between your chests. Your heartbeat is thundering in your ears - or maybe it's Caleb's - you're not quite sure whose it is when you're this close together.
It's incredibly quiet. Awkward, even. So you say something. Anything. A stupid comment on how this is like a cheesy scene in one of the awful smutty books that's been passed around the group, and he can't help but huff a laugh and try to hold back an amused smile. His shoulders relax and he rests his head against the wall to finally get a better look at you, and something makes you lean your head towards him, following his lead. His lips part slightly as you move closer and-
Nott/Veth calling both your names from outside the alley jerks your faces apart, and Caleb very hurriedly inches away from you. "We should, ah..." He reluctantly shuffles towards the road, adjusts unkempt hair and smooths down the front of his coat, fingers twisting the buttons shyly. "W-we should go join the others, ja?" His heart sings at the simple touch of you linking pinkies with him. It's a quiet message he doesn't need to worry about deciphering.
-
Fjord 💜
"Beggin' your pardon." You can't help but snort. Even in times of peril, in situations where you're taking cover from the intense fighting outside of alleyways, Fjord still manages to treat you well and act the perfect gentleman. He shushes you, smiling himself, and it briefly feels like you're the only two people in the world - except for those in the battle mere feet away from your hiding spot.
His eyes soften as you share a secret grin with him, but not in the way you'd like. He clears his throat, peeks out of the gap of the alley."Look, I know this isn't an ideal situation but..." You say his name sweetly, urge him to look up from the ground to meet your gaze, and you see colour quickly spread across his neck in embarrassment. He swallows thickly and looks away, and breathes out the quietest shuddering sigh.
A hesitant hand reaches out for yours, and you grip it tight before he can regret taking the leap. The rest of the Nein find you both in that same position minutes later once the battle had officially ended and it was safe to leave, all tangled fingers and soft gazes. Fjord never wants to let go.
-
Jester 💜
"Are you gonna kiss me?" She's a little cross eyed, a little flushed and out of breath, and so so pretty this close up. Her eyes flick between your own, both your noses just barely grazing. "It feels like now would be a good time to kiss me." And it does.
But the moment is ruined when a swarm of soldiers charges right by the alley's entrance, and Jester lunges forward to hug you close. Together you find yourselves huddled further in the shadows while the enemy runs right by your hiding spot. She's so soft in your arms, perfect - it's like she belongs there - and you want to tell her that, but saying so out loud would easily blow your cover. So you settle for keeping her close, a hand in her hair while she ducks her head under your chin.
You wait until the last soldier has gone before you reluctantly remove yourself from the tiefling (who visibly pouts) and peek outside the alley. Once the coast is clear, you look over your shoulder, only to find Jester already looping arms with you. She smiles, this time confidently, and you enter daylight once more with no mention of the almost-kiss.
-
Mollymauk 💜
He doesn't say a word. Which, y'know, is ideal when skulking about in an abandoned alley, away from prying eyes of spies and mercenaries - but the way how Mollymauk is not-so-subtly glancing your way every few seconds is awfully distracting. You lightly push against his chest, tell him in a hushed voice to stop smirking so much, that this is a very serious situation. "What? Can I not look at you now? Can I not enjoy the little things while we fear for our lives? Who knows when I'll see something so lovely again~"
You push him again, a little more forcefully this time, and he actually barks a laugh, sways back to you and tilts his head with sticky fondness. There's a sudden commotion nearby - heavily armoured folk who suddenly look in the direction of the sound and touch their weapons suspiciously. Quick thinking in the moment has you press your body closely to Molly's, making your forms fit within shadow, and cover his mouth with your hand.
And he's silent again, but his expression has changed. He never looks away from you, nor you him, both of you holding breaths in anticipation - of being discovered, or of something more passionate, you are not completely sure - but the moment is never interrupted. When all is safe and sound once more after the hired fighters evacuate the nearby area, he slowly peels your hand away and presses a single, simple touch of his lips to your palm. It's barely even a kiss, but you don't mind. It's nothing. It's something. It's a promise.
-
Yasha 💜
She's... Well, you already knew that she was tall before this, but you never really knew exactly how tall Yasha was until you were up against each other in a tiny alleyway in some fancy town neither of you know the name of. It's a small space, and there are hired thugs sniffing around town looking for you and the Nein, but you feel so safe with the barbarian - a protective barrier between you and the rest of the world. Your face warms at the thought.
She peers down at you with a blank expression, and you expect awkward silence, but she surprises you with: "Well this is quite cosy, isn't it?" It's dark in the alley, but she can see the wrinkles by your eyes when you smile at her. Good. That'll ease the tension immensely... And the slightly nervous pitter patter of her heart.
Despite it all, she's a little flustered being so close to you. It's weirdly intimate caging you in, and she curses under her breath quietly when you look away bashfully and bite your lip with a grin. She's obviously done something right when you gently rest a hand on her arm and ease her wandering mind. She still feels that touch hours after, and wonders if you're thinking of it too.
-
Kingsley 💜
You don't want to admit it, but you're panicking. What started off as a cheeky side quest quickly spiralled into a catastrophe, and you now find yourself in a claustrophobic space with bad guys on your tails, and you have grazed knees after tripping earlier and you're stuck with your most charming friend who looks at you like he loves you, and it's all too much, and- "Hey, keep your eyes on me."
Kingsley is holding your face in his hands, and you can barely make out his crimson eyes in the dark, but you know he's giving you that look again. "We're gonna be fine, we're gonna get out of this. I'll buy you a drink later, you'll see." You want to believe him, even as your heart drums loudly in your chest, leftover adrenaline dulling in your veins. You follow his lead, breathe in, and breathe out as you move to hold the wrists of his hand that are cupping your face still. You find calm, and he looks proud. Maybe it's only a shadow of an expression in the dark though.
Instead of leading you back towards the ship, Kingsley takes you by the hand and dances around the crowded marketplace towards a quiet tavern on the outskirts of town. He reaches out and holds the door open for you, and grins when you look puzzled."I owe you a drink, remember?"

dancing with the devil | verna x reader
I'm back!!!
this one is just a spooky season special, as I've been away for all these days and haven't done one yet, I thought it would be cool to do it now!
this oneshot comes a lot from my obsession with Mike Flanagan's work, which even led me to watch The Fall of the House of Usher recently.
and, of course, it also comes from my obsession with Carla Gugino.
so, I hope you like it!
late requests coming out soon, so stay tuned!
enjoy!
requests open, but please be patient with me.

Tumblr media
PROMPT: It's New Year's Eve, and you find yourself in a bar, completely alone, with no one to give you the good luck's kiss. But a mysterious new barista catches your eye, and she could be your salvation, if only she didn't hide so many secrets.
***
You weren't one to complain, but it had been a pretty horrible year.
People generally await the New Year with a lot of ambition, full of resolutions, glamorous plans and self-centered achievements. But you do not.
You just wanted the next one to be better.
As if the miserable conditions you were experiencing at Fortunato were not enough, not being paid enough for the effort you made, sitting at the reception desk at the behest of the great Rufus Griswold - who did nothing except try to harass you in every way -, in a routine exhausting where you could never sleep properly, you still had your parents, and the terrible relationship you had with them.
So, when you sat at that bar, at the lonely counter, all you thought about was stuffing yourself until you pass out, hoping for a counting miracle. Some people were getting along well when you arrived, and others were giving you side-eye, but with the thought that you were less attractive to them, you decided that the counter would be the best option.
Suddenly, those eyes that looked yellow from afar fell on you, and the figure that carried them turned around, with a subtle smile.
"I see someone needs a drink, hm?"
You looked at her, and shrugged, before answering. "Just today. I can't drink, I still have work tomorrow."
She continued to smile, and you had the slight impression that her eyes had returned to their normal color. Clear, deep and very eye-catching. But it could just be the impression, because you were too exhausted to make sense.
"Ah, I understand. Just a minute, I'll prepare something relaxing for you, miss…"
"(Y\N)."
She nodded, turning away and concentrating on preparing whatever the drink was. Like I said before, you were too tired to care about what drink you were going to drink. If you could just get to New Year with something in your throat, that would be a good idea.
After minutes that felt like seconds of waiting, the barista turned to you, two shiny glass cups in her hands. She was still smiling subtly as she slid your glass and turned hers in her other hand.
She served you with the same smile, and then looked at you. "It's funny, I can see there's something wrong with you... Something that's stopping you from celebrating tonight."
You looked back at her, frowning, and sighing afterwards.
"It's true, it was... It wasn't a very good year", you commented, feeling terrible for venting to a stranger. "But the year ahead will be better, I know that."
"And why is that? Why was it so bad?"
"My boss, my work... everything makes me exhausted... and not having anyone to talk to is really bad at these moments...", You took a sip. "Um, that's great, is it Merlot?"
"It's Merlot, but it's not one of the best...", the barista said, tapping her glass still. "I've seen and experienced better, around the world."
"Have you been around the world?", you asked, unable to resist your curiosity. She smiled and nodded. "Where did you go? On that expedition?"
"I've been there too, but not just on this occasion", she said, and suddenly stopped, as if she were saying too much. "You know, it's interesting, being on the other side. Sometimes it's tiring, it breaks my heart, but... It's good, there are things there that are worth the effort."
You were more intrigued. She didn't look like the type of person who would travel around the world, wearing black clothes and a gothic look, as if she wanted to hide on purpose. Generally, these trips are made for people who want to be seen, above all else in the world.
"What are you talking about, exactly?"
"Have you ever had a dream... a desire... a deep, hidden desire that no one has ever fulfilled, and that you yourself didn't imagine you could achieve?", she looked at you with the same curiosity as you. "I'm like... A dream maker. I go on these trips just for that..."
You frowned, still not understanding, but took another sip to hide it, nodding.
"Are you the personification of the genie in the lamp?"
She laughed. "Ah, I would like to, but no. It would be a lot of ego on my part, but I would say that I'm better than him", she laughed. "Verna is my name, but the name never makes that much of a difference to me."
“Different name, never heard it before,” you said, drinking again. "Are you from here?"
"I'm from nowhere. I'm everywhere, at all times... it's strange, I know, but it makes sense to me."
You nodded, finding it strange. And then, he found it even stranger when she helped herself to the Merlot on the counter and drank some. She smiled at you, still tapping the glass.
"But what about you, (Y/N)? Do you have any desires that you thought would be unrealizable, unattainable? Please be honest with me."
You opened your mouth, and then thought a little. "No. I think I'm happy this way. Except for a few little things that I would change here and there..."
She softened her gaze and took a sip, her clear eyes suddenly yellowed again and wide, fixed on you. "What kind?"
“Like, my boss giving me the justice I deserve, and stop hitting on me,” you laughed, drinking the last sip and pouring yourself again. "Not much."
"Your boss is too terrible for you, (Y/N)," Verna replied, smiling. "Don't ask me how I know this, but I do. One day someone will show him what's really good, don't worry."
You frowned. "You seem so sure, are you some kind of psychic?"
She laughed. "No. I would like to be, but no. I... I see people's possibilities. And that's it. I help them based on the possibilities."
She stared at you again, and looked away at the TV, where the ball was falling on the screen in Times Square.
"Oh, it looks like it's almost time," she whispered, laughing. "Your year is going to be great, (Y/N), I'll make sure of that."
“You…” you started, but she shushed you, smiling.
"You just have to make a deal with me."
"What kind of deal?"
Verna thought for a while, and then smiled. "Wow, you seem so sure..."
She was mocking you, of course, you realized right away, and with a muffled laugh, you glanced back at the TV, hearing people echoing a countdown. The ball finally reached its destination, and you turned around, seeing Verna's yellow eyes glued to yours again. She suddenly leaned over and stole a peck from you, taking a little too long to pull away.
“Was that your deal?”, you whispered, smiling mischievously. Verna took a moment to open her eyes and then tilted her head, as if agreeing.
She thought for a while and then finally said, her voice low, slowly close to your ear, as if she wanted to seduce or bewitch you. She had one of the softest voices you'd ever heard, and apparently she knew how to use it.
"Actually, it was a plan to find out if you were trustworthy, if you were innocent enough to accept my deal…", she whispered. "And because I know, deep down, that what you wanted most was to be kissed on New Year's Eve, my sweet client."
You trailed off, looking at her, getting lost in the soft expression on her pale face. Suddenly, an impulsive idea occurred to you, and you leaned in again, kissing her, this time with more intensity. When you touched her hair, behind the back of her head, you had the impression that it melted at the touch, as if Verna were just an illusion, as if she were the literal cosmic dust from which human beings possibly emerged.
However, the kiss didn't last long. She pushed you away with her feather-light hands, and to the naked eye, it looked like it was just a breeze of wind stopping you both. She touched your face, running her fingers lightly across your cheek as she whispered:
"We can't do that right now, (Y\N). I'm afraid you're not sober enough, and it wouldn't be wise for me to take advantage of this."
You looked at it for a moment and realized it made sense. But she had kissed you first, so it was clearly just an excuse, as always happened. You started to wonder if your kiss was that bad.
"But, Verna…"
"Please, darling. I'm trying to be reasonable. Like I said, I work with possibilities, and the possibility of us working out is less than zero. Don't get me wrong, it's just in case…", she hesitated. "Condemning pure-souled humans to my cruel and inevitable fate wouldn't be extremely political of me."
You sighed, and gave her the space she needed, even though you couldn't take your eyes off her. Verna was the same, and you could feel that, despite what it seemed like, that moment you shared wasn't just fun, much less just a New Year's kiss.
Verna poured you the rest of the Merlot and, with the same soft expression, touched your face again. This time, her voice was clear, and in a moment of vulnerability, she made it more than explicit that she wasn't lying when she said:
"But we'll still meet, (Y\N)," she whispered, her fingers again like soft feathers touching his skin. "Our deal may not have been sealed, but you've proven enough innocence and courage to convince me that you're capable of this. You'll have a great new job, I promise, and your boss will never bother you again."
She nodded, and you allowed yourself to nod too, so confused that you definitely didn't know what to believe anymore. There was a little devil on your shoulder urging you to try again, and there was another devil, right in front of you, who would be harder to convince than you expected.
"And of course, you will have my full protection," Verna whispered, smiling. "I'm not going to promise you eternal life, because that would be impossible even for someone like me. But I promise, and I need you to believe me on this one, I promise that I will move mountains so no one will hurt you again."
You smiled, and drank the last sip. Suddenly, another impulse. This time, a question, instead of an action.
"What are you? An angel? A genie without a lamp? A tempting devil who seeks souls and deals?"
Verna smiled, and simply looked away at her glass again, magically empty. "I already told you. I'm nothing, I don't have a life. I'm just what your mind wants me to be."
You were confused, but suddenly, a memory hit you hard. When you looked at Verna, it was as if she already knew.
"I really need to go. My mom will be furious if I get home late, even on New Year's..."
She nodded. "Please don't take any chances. This part, I won't be able to protect you."
You laughed, stood up and slid out the only dollar bill you had. Verna looked at the ballot, he turned it around and handed it back to you, denying it.
"No need. The bill is already paid."
"What?"
"Please don't insist. I insist."
You looked at her, shrugged, and frowned, suddenly realizing that maybe it was for the best. She kept watching you, until you left, and as soon as you turned outside, on the street, you noticed who had just walked through a solid wall.
The bar was gone.
And she was gone too.
Even more confused - and blaming the drink -, you put your hands in your pockets to protect yourself, and walked back home, into the daylight. As soon as you crossed the street, however, another very curious thing caught your attention.
There was a raven, standing still, resting on a post. It was just any raven, but it was a raven, and it looked down at you. Suddenly, you had the impression that he had winked at you.
"What nonsense. Ravens don't blink," you whispered to yourself, looking at the raven again. He remained there, standing still, as if he hadn't even noticed you. Deciding to ignore that crazy night, you turned around.
As you disappeared down the street, you whispered to yourself once again.
"Ravens don't blink."
Oh, but if you only knew that they do more than blink... If you only knew...

in the moment we’re lost & found
Featuring— albedo, kaveh, zhongli, dainsleif ⤀ gn!reader, reincarnation au but also a some soulmate au vibes (?), dark / light academia themed a/n: i picked charas i thought would suit the aesthetic cus my favorite flavor of reincarnation au has to do with art and museums / luv history + art + museums + galleries !
Tumblr media
— 𝐀𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐃𝐎
as an up-and-coming artist, albedo is a rising star in teyvat’s art world, but lately he’s been haunted by a face he sees only in his dreams. it’s unclear, and it drives him insane that he can’t quite make out all the details of this mysterious figure. albedo, whose artwork is notoriously lifelike, knows that something just isn't right; something is missing and he can't quite grasp it. countless times, he's tried to translate the idea of you onto paper, and countless times he's ripped out pages of his sketchbook, the abandoned drawings left crumpled in random corners of his studio, of his house, of his room. they say the mind is unable to create faces of its own so where did you come from? it consumes him— the way you replay in his head once he closes his eyes, as if he'd somehow stolen the memories of somebody else. perhaps this is what the tortured artists sing of when they descend to madness, haunted by an absent muse. at least… until the fateful day he sees you out on the cobbled streets of mondstadt. you pass by quickly, the moment as fleeting as a shooting star, and something in albedo clicks. he doesn’t have time to think, he just moves. his muse is here now within reach; how can he risk letting you slip away?
— 𝐊𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐇
careless collision, staggering steps… you snap your eyes shut as you try to mentally prepare yourself for the utter humiliation of falling into the akademiya fountain. except it never comes. your eyes flutter open, and are instantly met with just about the most beautiful man you’ve ever seen. however, his expression is one of shock, as if he’s just as surprised as you are of his own actions, and truth be told, he is. because he seemed to have been able to watch the scene unfold, even before the other party had bumped into you. because kaveh is sure something had come over him, with the way time appeared to have stopped and his legs moved of their own accord. like his body was suddenly able to predict the future, or that it was the work of some absurd sense of muscle memory. even so, the weight of you in his grasp feels uncannily familiar. in a good way. it feels right; it feels like he had waited his whole life for this moment.
and suddenly you're hyperaware of how close the two of you actually are— but also of how safe you feel with his arm wrapped around your waist, or of how his large doe eyes seem to peer into your very soul, the carmine hues dancing with renewed life. you really can't shake the overwhelming feeling that you've met before, that perhaps this isn't your first time around at all. and so you have to ask, “have we met before?”
"no, but I'd like to again."
— 𝐙𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐈
you quite literally walk into zhongli, knocking his documents out of his hands and all across the marble floor of liyue’s national museum. zhongli sighs without looking up; he had spent the better half of a day organizing contracts and paperwork for a loan agreement to inazuma, though he supposes he should share in the blame for not watching where he was going. hundreds of years have passed since the immortal ex-archon worked as a funeral consultant; these days, zhongli opts to spend his time surrounded by artifacts of bygone times and bygone people. but when he looks up, his golden eyes widen and his blood runs cold at the sight of you in front of him. he freezes, as if time seems to have stopped for the both of you. his focus shifts back and forth between you and the painting across the room: a seemingly ordinary portrait, dated from around the time of the blonde traveler. still, whenever asked, he can confidently say that it’s his favorite piece, even in this house of invaluable artifacts and monuments to heroes, even among all the rich antiquities teyvat has to offer. and here you were in front of him, a perfect match to the painting's subject. the one whom he had once held so dear before being torn away by the hands of time, is now kneeling on the floor in front of him, frantically trying to gather the scattered documents, of which he had long deemed irrelevant. he feels his impenetrable stone heart flutter for the first time in what feels like a millennia because it’s you. he's sure of it. it's you, it's you, it's you.
— 𝐃𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐈𝐅
ever since your move to mondstadt, you've started having satin dreams of knights and castles, false flowers and fictional faces; dreams that undoubtedly end in war and destruction because everything shifts. castles crumble, faces morph— it becomes a nightmare so vivid it feels more akin to a memory than a dream. but through it all only one thing remains constant in that, in every iteration, you always fall in love with the same blonde man.
wandering the tranquil halls of mondstadt's national gallery, you find yourself before The Destruction of Khaenri'ah, a painting tragically beautiful in it's depiction of the ancient nation's condemnation by the heavens. you feel your eyes threaten to water, the ache in your chest an indication that the same anguish you've felt in your nightmares, has now sunk its claws into your heart. it's the first time a piece of art has moved you like this. so much so that you’re rooted in a trance-like state until someone beside you clears his throat, snapping you back to reality. he himself also gazes at the painting although his arm is outstretched; a handkerchief in offering for your tears. it isn't until your fingers brush against his that the blonde man turns to meet your gaze. shades of cerulean, bluer than the depths of the seas, all a mere backdrop to the stars shining in his eyes. stars that match the ones sitting in your own eyes. your heart skips a beat at the revelation. it's him, the man from your dreams. he’s real.
