Imo it comes from work culture
"Its just a cold and I don't get paid sick leave" more like
in further snz-related phrases: "a bad case of the sniffles" is effectively a paradox, and I don't know what it is but there's something very hot about that
like, it's just the sniffles, but the sniffles are thick and wet and desperate, and punctuated every so often by a heavy, helpless sneeze
it's just the sniffles, but the person sniffling has been drenched to the skin in an unexpected downpour, and is sniffling while also shivering uncontrollably
it's just the sniffles, but they're such congested sniffles that every one is followed by an audible, breathless exhale. just the sniffles, but they're so tickly that each sets off a delicate, gasping hitch. just the sniffles, but the sniffles have long since soaked through the handkerchief they haven't been able to remove from their streaming pink nose since the sniffles set in, and have made their way halfway down their arm at this point.
but it's just the sniffles... you know?

Here you can have a handkerchief- *moves closer to you, straddles your lap and strokes your cheek because IM the handkerchief*

I sneeze when my nose is warm and I inhale cold air... But not when my nose is already cold.
Science side of snzblr?

But wait doesn't this mean Traveler could have allergies but just hasn't connected the dots? Like there are other flowers in Teyvat that weren't at that festival-
E/milie's story quest in gen/shin outright stating that the T/raveler doesn't actually really know what allergies are is driving me nuts. the idea of the T/raveler accidentally setting people off cause they don't know what an allergen is.... what if I lost my mind-
the T/raveler being like "what's wrong with you?" when someone else starts sneezing as a reaction to something... doubly fun if it's a character who'll deny the allergy-

"Nothing to sneeze at"- insignificant, of little consequence
"Something to sneeze at"- significant, of great consequence
That's so cute tbh
#I would love to be something to sneeze at#if anyone is taking suggestions here#snzcourse#snzblr#snz

So I was thinking
Regarding the caretaking compulsion so many of us have
Maybe it's a response fueled by guilt
As in: we feel guilty for taking pleasure in another's discomfort so we then feel a compulsion to aid in their finding relief

There's too much shame going on here and people need to get over themselves and just appreciate what they're into and have fun with it
@ethereousdelirious inspired me for this post. ((ZERO judgement and also pls be nice in the comments, I鈥檓 just curious))
What is everyone鈥檚 snzfucker hot takes?
I鈥檒l start - unless it鈥檚 canon for the character OR a period piece, I鈥檓 not really a fan of handkerchiefs in fic

I think consensual contagion can be good
Accidental contagion is really a toss up
I hate intentional nonconsenual contagion with a passion
I hate nonconsenual stuff in general with a passion actually
I wanna know.

My rule is 1 sneeze has to take less than a paragraph from start to finish or it sounds off
It sounds fetishy when you put in too much detail
y'all.... how much sneeze content/tropes do you think I can get away with inserting into a non-kinky story before people get suspicious...馃槵

Also
"Turn down one's nose at someone"- belittling
"Turn up one's nose at someone"- supposedly belittling but in fact is one of the hottest things one can do
"Nothing to sneeze at"- insignificant, of little consequence
"Something to sneeze at"- significant, of great consequence
That's so cute tbh
