At 401 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking an arctic cold front along a line extending from Huntley to near Elk Grove Village to Lincoln Park to 20 miles east of Navy Pier. Movement was south at 25 mph. Behind this front, temperatures will drop 10 degrees in an hour as winds gust as high as 30 mph. Bursts of moderate to heavy snow will also be possible, further acting to reduce visibility. Motorists should prepare for rapidly changing and developing hazardous road conditions, with any lingering wet spots on roadways quickly freezing. Locations impacted include...
