—Morning comes in silence
Summary: You spend the morning in bed with your husband at your side, watching over him as he rests peacefully for the first time in ages.
Tags: Romance, Hinted sexual content but no specific graphical explanations, established relationship, fluff
Words: 0,6k
⊹₊ ˚‧︵‿₊୨୧₊‿︵‧ ˚ ₊⊹
Gente rays of orange sunlight shimmered through the forst-covered windows in the early morning hours, followed by the graceful fresh snow that carried a familiar cold breeze through the land. Yet, none of that chill reached the comfort of the bedroom that you shared with your husband.
Only the soft, sun-kissed glow filtered in, casting a golden warmth over everything, draping the comfort of your home into a pure teint of liquid gold. It especially highlighted the fine features of the man lying beside you in the huge bed. The white silk sheets pooled around his large form, shared between the two of you. And you could swear, his body could be a canvas painted by the purity of the morning light and the feelings that carried over from the night before.
Capitano was truly a man of many things, status, wealth and power. He could command the word with a singe motion if he desired so and yet here he lay, stripped of the weight of his title, exposed and vunerable under the tender caress of your warm fingertips. Your thumb traced his sharp jawline, brushing over the dryness of his lips, then wound through the smooth raven locks that you had toyed with so many times before. The sensation was familiar, comforting, like a safe haven that you shared in a world full of coldness.
Your cold feet brushed against his leg beneath the sheets, a subconscious search for the warmth and connection that still lingered from the night before. His body twitched at the cool touch, a small reaction to the memory of the heat you’d shared in the dark, but he made no effort to pull away. Instead, he shifted slightly, allowing the space between you to close, his warmth enveloping you as naturally as the sunrise.
No words passed between you, nor were they needed. In the quiet of this sacred morning, your gazes spoke volumes. You remembered how the night began—the way his cold, sharp gloves were the first to fall. He had always hidden his hands, guarded them from the world, but last night, he let them be seen, exposed to your eyes alone. His skin, tinted with that strange, mysterious blue, revealed more than just his body. At first, he hesitated, insecurity flashing in his eyes, but those fears had melted away with the softness of your lips, pressing gentle promises into his skin. You had kissed away the doubts, each touch a vow that you’d never judge him for what he was, for how he looked. All you needed was him, the man beneath the surface.
And he had given that promise back to you, wordlessly. His lips had remained silent, but his hands spoke. They had traced your skin with a slowness that bordered on torment, fingers gliding over your legs, up your thighs, drawing out your impatience with teasing precision. The way he touched you, the way he worshipped you with his hands, was his answer—a declaration that you were everything to him.
Now, in the glow of dawn, those hands rested between the folds of the sheets, still close to you, as if even in sleep he couldn’t bear to be far from your warmth. His raven hair spilled over the pillow, shadows and light playing over his face, making him look softer, almost innocent in the early morning light. You smiled faintly, brushing a stray lock from his brow, recalling how those same locks had been tangled in your fingers the night before, how his breath had hitched against your neck when your cold hands had explored the softness of his skin.
There was a serenity in the room now, a sense of peace that wrapped around you both. The world outside didn’t matter. Status, power, wealth—they were distant, meaningless in this moment. All that existed was the warmth of his body beside yours, the sheets that clung to your limbs, and the silent affection you shared.

Additional WoF hcs
SandWings have a type of adapted webbing between their claws from their common ancestry with SeaWings, to keep them from sinking in the sand.
IceWings also have similar so they can swim and walk on the snow.
MudWings love frogs and will consider it good luck if they see a bullfrog, especially a particularly large one. For this reason, they tend to depict cranes and herons, which eat frogs, as crafty and a little bit evil in their storytelling.
MudWings generally don't eat alligators because of the belief they are related.
SkyWings incorporate eagles into their religious beliefs and believe that they are sacred, like angels or watchful guardian spirits in disguise, and they are Apalled at the prospect of eating one.
Coral loves dolphins so much, she named her daughter Orca. That's not really a headcanon, that's just a thing I just realized lol
SeaWings have a popular dessert they like to make from red kelp, it's like gelatin or pudding. It's especially popular among the lower class dragons.
SkyWings really aren't sure what to do with their war-mutilated veterans, especially the lower class ones. They hate any sort of imperfection, but they also admire the fact that they survived battle at all, so they altogether just try not to think about them. Maybe they even have a closed off section of town where they encourage them to stay. :(
I'm not sure if this happened already but I'm sure Thorn is going to either destroy the weirdling tower and cause riots or she will destroy the building and put the contents into a proper museum to preserve what an awful dragon Burn was
SeaWings have the highest literacy rate next to NightWings. Many IceWings can't read much more than their own names.
SeaWings can be immune to jellyfish venom.
Toys commonly given to dragonets include wooden, clay, or iron figures, dolls made from wood, cloth, or sometimes grass, stuffed animals, wooden practice weapons, dress up jewelry made from glass, and more. Additionally, dragonets, especially in the Kingdom of Sky, are commonly given bones to chew as an equivalent to being given a lollipop.
Dragons regrow their teeth multiple times in their life, as part of the reason they're able to live so long. This comes from their common ancestry with crocodilians.
There is said by RainWings to be a species of eagle in the rainforest that is similar to a harpy eagle, but much bigger, with talons as big as a dragon's. It has been reported to have flown away with dragonets before, and though a very rare occurrence, RainWings tell their dragonets about it partially for their safety and partially to scare them into listening to them. The eagle is probably called something SkyWing related---after one of the queens, perhaps. These predator attacks are one of the only reasons that RainWings still have venom.
As well as flowers, RainWings like to decorate themselves and their homes with brightly colored feathers they find.
NightWings, upon coming to the rainforest, have since introduced RainWings to glass flower vases. Many RainWings love them. They have also introduced them to the concept of cooking fruit to make jam and juicing it and/or fermenting to make tasty drinks
SandWings believe that ravens are a good omen and enjoy leaving scraps of prey out for them. They admire their tendency to clean up what is upsetting and avoided by most. IceWings see them as a symbol of death or a warning and are extremely creeped out by their intelligence.
Despite their love for ravens, SandWings are really annoyed by their obnoxious cousins, crows, and it is not an uncommon sight to see them chasing the birds away with a broomstick
MudWings are delighted whenever they see bluejays or similarly bright colored temperate forst birds, but not for any spiritual reason. They just don't see bright colors often :D
MudWings generally find it extremely disrespectful to pick flowers, especially ones that grow on someone else's property, because brightly colored flowers are not especially common in the swamps. It's quite the culture shock when they meet RainWings who pick every pretty blossom in sight.
Similarly, if a SandWing finds a flower in the desert which is wilting, they are obligated to bring it water.

frost giant loki hc’s:
(these hc’s are set AFTER odin reveals his real origins)
Since Loki has no recollection of his time in Joutunheim (bc duh baby) he secretly travels back…part of him hates that odin tool him…but the other part is forever grateful.
Loki would use every spell in his book to rid him of being a frost giant, but he almost dies trying. he cries for 3 days straight. and he’s still not ok.
Ever since the reality of himself sunk in…he decided to walk in his own skin for a day…just to give it a try. Everyone was repulsed by him, even Thor. All except Frigga. Forst Giant Loki loves her.
He sleeps with a heating blanket. Loki started sleeping in his Joutun form but he still can’t live with how cold his true form is.
Frost Giant Loki…makes snow castles in his room, and when he feels like it, he’ll send ice candies to the kids that live on Asgard.
Loki thinks Thor is an idiot if he doesn’t notice how abundantly different he treats him in his normal form, versus his Frost Giant Form…
Loki gets nightmares more often, he was always told of the monsters of Joutunheim that do awful things…and now that he knows…his mind is filled with so much fear and pain.
Frost Giant Loki doesn’t say this, but when summer time in Asgard rolls around, he hides away in his chambers. He’ll make some excuse like he is sick or tired or busy, but in reality, the sun burns his skin leaving scars and blisters.
He still gets shamed by Odin on some days and the anger he feels transfers into small snow storms.
With his newfound power, Loki is slowly learning how to combine the magic and spells his mother taught him with the power of ice and snow he now has. Frigga is amazed by the things he can do and it very proud of him.
He stares at the mirror longer these days, not out of fear, but out of adoration as he learns to love himself.

It was early, and freezing cold. Nobody's faces look good, but Wiktor looks by far the worst. Sunken in eyes, pale skin. The first victim they joked that Wiktor looked worse, but this was the second one without a head. No doubt another famous person, since the last one was a minister's son. At least that had gotten help in, and his mother hired some fancy investigator. Wiktor had no opinions on this new guy they had brought in, if he was good, he'd find out, and if he was bad, he'd find out. At least it was not hung from the top of an antenna this time, though it was on frozen ice and so out of caution the retrieval team was moving it.
"You're the celebrity here. The corpse as well. For most of the people who actually live here, there is nothing going on." The city is huge, but unless it's a skiing season it's almost deserted, and sometimes even then. Such was the destiny of a tourist town begone, which clinged onto life by its proximity to other towns that still remained tourist attractions. "Soon the cameras will come, and then the people." This Doyle looked dressed for it, really, in contrast to his simple, all black outfit.
He moved past Doyle to the truck with the coffee machine... And to look at one of the few parked cars. Olga had arrived already, but a single look from Forst had sent her back inside it. Sighing, he poured it out into a paper cup, this sole act warming his fingers through his gloves.
"Do you want coffee? It's disgusting, but it's warm. We have some time until we can look at the corpse up close." His voice sounded unnaturally hoarse, as if he had been screaming all day. He looked at the small lake, trying not to focus on the layer of snow. It was not a lot, but it was too early for it to thaw, so it was impossibly bright. God, what a terrible bitch of a Monday.

Hortense Raky (August 27, 1918 - September 25, 2006) was a German-born Austrian stage actress. She also starred in several films including Willi Forst's Court Theatre in 1936. Partly Jewish, she fled from Austria after the Anschluss of 1938 and settled in Switzerland. She returned to Vienna after the Second World War, but was at one point blacklisted alongside her husband, fellow actor, stage director, filmaker and lifelong communist activist Karl Paryla, due to her links with the Communist Eastern Bloc. At one point she appeared on stage in East Berlin during this era.
Karl Paryla and her had two children who also becamed actors.
Hortense Raky is partially remembered by Disney animation fans for being the voice actress of Snow White in the original 1938 German Dub of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, being one of its few cast members that escaped murder in the Holocaust.

Yes, I am back at it again! I finally finished another fic for @badthingshappenbingo ! It’s a Ninjago fanfic, and it features Gravis with Bolobo and Shade as background characters!
This will feature underage characters doing drugs, and getting caught with them. I have not personally done drugs in my own life, so please know that this is not a completely factual account of what someone who does might go through.
Summary is below the cut.
Gravis was not a very good student. He was not even a good student. His grades were just barely above passing. It was only the fact that Gravis did not want to repeat his senior year that kept his grades above passing.
It was not always like this, but things had gotten rough in the past few years. There was not really any way that Gravis could keep his grades up for very long.
But that wouldn’t matter to Gravis for much longer. Gravis was getting something that was for sure going to help for a bit. All Gravis needed to do was get to the back lot.
Pulling his hat down over his ears, Gravis walked into the backlot of the high school. It was a decently sheltered area from the snow, but it was still freezing. That didn’t mean much to Gravis, though. He wouldn’t be able to feel it in a few minutes.
Glancing around, Gravis found who he was.
Bolobo Forst. He was a fellow senior, an avid gardener, and the school’s best drug dealer. Of course, most people had no idea about him, or Gravis for that matter. He was sitting on a pile of boxes with a book in his hand. Somehow, Bolobo still managed to be a good student completely stoned.
Bolobo looked up from his book when Gravis got close enough. “Yo, mate. What ya here for?” Bolobo slurred. His eyes were wide awake but hazy. It was obvious that Bolobo clearly was on something, most likely alcohol. Thankfully, Bolobo somehow had the ability to be clear minded enough to do some high level thinking and transactions.
“My usual,” Gravis responded. Bolobo nodded and pulled out a box.
“That would be $40, thank you very much.” Bolobo held out an unsuspecting plastic container that was filled with pot-infused sweets, Adderall, and xanax and exchanged it with the money in Gravis’s hand. Gravis stood there, waiting for Bolobo to acknowledge him again.
Bolobo looked back up at Gravis. “Wanna stay here or no?”
Gravis allowed a smile to escape his face. “Of course. Why wouldn’t I want to sit here with you?”
Bolobo chuckled. “Fair enough. I am pretty awesome, you know.”
Gravis raised an eyebrow. “Oh, really? Who says that?”
“All the people who come to me for their fix. You called me that a while ago actually.”
Gravis sputtered. “I-I didn’t. I’m sure most people who did were probably on something.”
Bolobo smirked. “Actually, most of them were sober. And you called me awesome when you were completely sober. It was after the time when you were forced to quit for a few weeks.”
Gravis rolled his eyes as he struggled to open the container. “That doesn’t count. I was probably desperate and wanted a fix. Anyway, I barely remember all the way back then. So that doesn’t count.”
“Why not?” Bolobo questioned cheekily. “We always make fun of people for what they do when they are drunk, so why can’t I make fun of you about things you did when you were high?”
Gravis couldn’t think of a clever comeback to that.
“Fine,” Gravis scoffed. “I guess you win. Happy now?”
“Very,” assured Bolobo.
The two descended into comfortable silence. The backlot had become a safe haven to the two, and they didn’t need to have words to communicate with each other. They could just be in the same place without having any word exchanged between them. All that was exchanged was money and drugs.
Part of that could also be the fuzziness of Gravis’s head. The chemicals that were infused in the brownie made Gravis’s head fuzzy in a good way. Gravis couldn’t make himself care so much about everything. The overwhelming pressure Gravis usually faced wasn’t as relevant anymore. It was lit.
Eventually, it became dark, and the two had to part ways. Gravis had to be back before curfew. Gravis stuffed the plastic container back into his backpack. It wouldn’t do to get caught with its contents.
“See you later,” Gravis stated as he left. Bolobo just nodded with his headphones firmly on his ears.
Gravis left the backlot with a heavy heart. He didn’t want to leave the atmosphere of it, and his head wasn’t as fuzzy as he liked. The chemicals were wearing off. Gravis still had some things that could help that issue, but that was irritating.
Gravis simply hoped that wasn’t a sign of things to come.
—-
Gravis should have seen this coming.
His mom was home for once. While that might seem like a good thing for some people, Gravis hated it when his mom was home.
Samantha Kemp was Gravis’s mom, and she was not winning any awards for being a good mom anytime soon. She had done as well as expected, with being a drug addict and a single mom for about 6 years at this point.
But she wasn’t by any means kind or supportive of Gravis. Gravis had often gone hungry after his dad left until he learned how to cook for himself. He also had learned to tend to his injuries himself after it became clear that his mom wouldn’t take him to any medical facilities for any of them.
Gravis could understand why she hadn’t taken the best care of him. His dad had just left them when Gravis was twelve, and it basically destroyed his home life. His dad was the glue of the family. When he left, Gravis’s mom didn’t know how to connect with her son, and Gravis felt the same towards his mom.
But that all made it so when his mom was home and awake, Gravis just wanted to curl up.
“Hi, mom,” Gravis greeted. His mom was on the sofa in the living room, and she had a bottle of whiskey in her hand.
Gravis’s mom gave him a lazy smile. That was good. She was in a floaty state, so she probably wouldn’t yell too much.
“Hey, kid,” Gravis’s mom slurred. “Didn’t realize you were home.”
“Yeah.” Gravis made sure to keep his distance.
Gravis’s mom asked, “So how was your day? Was it good? Still keeping your promise?” Her words progressively became more and more slurred, and Gravis had to strain to figure out what she was asking.
Oh, the promise. The promise was to not do drugs. Gravis had been breaking the promise since he was 14.
“Yeah, it was good. And yes mom, I have been keeping my promise,” Gravis lied. His day was only good because of the drugs flowing in his system. At least he had only stuck to poisoning his brain outside of school hours.
Gravis’s mom gave Gravis a strained smile. “That’s good.”
After a few moments of awkward silence, Gravis was motioned to leave. Gravis gratefully took the opportunity to do so. He did not want to stay with his mom for a moment longer.
Retreating into his room, Gravis dug into his backpack. Under his books was the plastic container with the drugs.
Popping an adderall into his mouth, Gravis decided to tackle the pile of his homework. While he technically could just not do it, it would be easier to do some of it. It probably would be helpful if he actually did some of the homework he was supposed to turn in by the end of the year if he wanted to graduate.
Gravis worked all throughout the night, and managed to finish almost half of his work.
Gravis’s mom didn’t call Gravis down for dinner at all. Gravis pretended not to care.
Gravis didn’t need his mom to care about him. He was used to this.
Gravis could bury the hurt deep down in his heart and he could learn to not care.
—--
High school wasn’t a great place for anyone, but Gravis thought he was doing a pretty good job with keeping himself happy.
Gravis made sure to take the easiest classes he could get away with. This meant that he and Bolobo only had gym together, but Gravis could see some other kids he was acquaintances with through the backlot.
Like Nightshade ‘Shade’ Darkley-Oppenheimer He was an underclassman to Gravis, but he was both surprisingly mature. He also happened to be in his math class.
Walking into the school, Gravis popped a Xanax and Adderall. He was taking a risk, but he hadn’t gotten a chance to take anything yet.
Scanning the halls, Gravis noticed Shade standing by one of the classroom doors.
“Hey,” greeted Gravis. “Fancy seeing you here.”
Shade looked up at Gravis’s voice.
“Hi,” Shade whispered. “How are you?” It was clear that something was up with him.
“Good. How are you?” Gravis responded.
Shade shrugged. “Not doing great. Head’s been fuzzy.”
A frown made its way to Gravis’s face. “Why is it fuzzy? I thought you had ways of dealing with it?” Those ways being drugs went unsaid.
Shade shook his head. “Got caught with everything by gramps.Even my blockers. You know how he is. He took all of my stash for himself and took almost all of my money. Now I have to wait to get more funds.”
Gravis couldn’t believe it. Shade was probably one of the most subtle drug user there was. He only took hormone blockers and Xanax, and he desperately needed them. Without them, he was apparently an anxious mess who could barely function.
Gravis asked softly, “Do you mind if I ask you something in private?” Shade shook his head, and Gravis walked towards a fairly abandoned hallway. It only led towards the trophy room, so no one went there.
“Can I give you some Xanax?” Gravis inquired. He didn’t really want to part with his stash, but he did not want Shade getting hurt.
Shade looked regretful when he replied, “No. I have to take drug tests everyday now, and they last for another two months. Thanks, though.”
Gravis wanted to punch Shade’s grandfather. The fact that he would take something away from Shade that helped him so much was almost deplorable.
Gravis took a deep breath. “Are you going to be okay?”
Shade mumbled, “Probably. I can survive.”
The warning bell rang, informing the two they only had 5 minutes to get to class.
“See you in math,” Shade stated.
Gravis forced the anger in him down and headed to his first period class.
Hopefully, this was not a sign of things to come.
—---------
Gravis should have really known that this lifestyle wouldn’t last forever. He should have realized that he would eventually get caught.
Apparently the goddamn varsity club or something like that wanted to use the backlot for a club meet. When they got there, they immediately noticed the smokers and drinkers. Even though Gravis and Bolobo weren’t, they also had to take a drug test.
While Gravis had taken drug tests before without getting caught, he had time to prepare for them. This one he had no time to.
The drug test came back positive.
Now Gravis was forced to sit outside the principal’s office while they tried to get in contact with his mom.
Gravis knew that his mom wasn’t going to pick up her phone. She was completely and utterly stoned by the time he left for school, and she was probably passed out by now.
But he wasn’t going to say anything. No one but Bolobo knew that Gravis’s mom had a drug addiction. At least until now.
Gravis couldn’t help but feel a very strong urge to have a Xanax or a smoke. He knew he should not want to, but he was feeling on edge. A Xanax would probably help that, but he couldn’t have one.
Thankfully, some box breathing helped a bit. It wasn’t nearly enough, but it made sure Gravis didn’t go into a panic attack.
Eventually, Gravis was called into the principal’s office. Inside the office, there was the principal and the counselor. Gravis couldn’t remember their names for the life of him.
“Sit down, Gravis,” commanded the principal. “I hope you understand why you are here.”
Taking a seat, Gravis nodded. The counselor’s face pinched up.
“If you understand why, then why don't you explain what is wrong with the situation?” challenged the counselor.
Gravis pretended to take a few moments to think on the answer, before responding, “Is it because doing drugs will damage my chances for having a good life?”
The principal shook his head. “No, I am talking about the situation with your mother. Although the fact that you did drugs illegally is also a very big issue.”
Gravis couldn’t think of a good lie. What was he supposed to say that wouldn’t raise suspicions almost immediately?
“My mom is probably at work,” Gravis lied. Although, doing drugs was almost like a job in a weird way.
“Do you know what she does that is so important that she refuses to answer her phone?” the counselor interrogated.
Gravis shrugged. “Not sure. My mom does a bunch of different jobs, and she’s really strict about not using her phone at work. Apparently, it distracts her.”
If possible, the counselor's face became more irritated. “Are you sure you have no way to contact your mother?”
“No, not that I am aware of. I have not needed to do so.” Gravis wasn’t lying when he said this. He had always managed to get away with only having help from his meager friend group and never needed to rely on his mom.
The principal sighed. “Well, until your mother can get into contact with us, we have no option but to allow you to go home. Please inform your mother that we want to have a conversation with her as soon as she is available.”
Gravis nodded slowly. “I will. Anything else?”
“No,” the counselor stated. “You may go.”
Gravis didn’t think he had ever left a room as fast as he did that moment.
This was so messed up. Gravis needed to figure out a way to make sure that he wouldn’t get in trouble.
Gravis was completely and utterly messed up.
—------------------------------
Telling his mom was the scariest thing that Gravis ever had to do. Of course, delaying it for days probably didn’t help. But Gravis was nothing if not a procrastinator.
His mom was surprisingly sober when Gravis told her what had happened. And just like he predicted, she flew into a hot rage. Gravis was just thankful that she hadn’t had any glass near her. Otherwise, he would have ended up in the hospital.
She had marched right into his school the next morning. The principal and the counselor were very irritated at the fact that Gravis had delayed telling her for so long, but they had gotten right down to business.
Gravis was officially suspended for one week, and he would be forced to go into therapy. The school would have to conduct a home investigation about Gravis’s home life.
It was going to suck royally. Gravis didn’t want anything to change. He liked his life and changing it would suck.
But there was a small part of him that wanted to change his life. He didn’t want to just live his life with his head fuzzy and his body sluggish. Gravis wanted to see how the other side lived. He wanted to see if getting clean would make him feel the same as he did when he was a kid.
Gravis didn’t want to quit, but he had to at least try. If he didn’t, he had a sinking feeling he would regret not doing so for a long time.
—-
Gravis hated recovery. He hated it.
He always felt an itch inside of him, searching for something. His mind was still fuzzy, but it wasn’t a good kind of fuzzy. This fuzzy made him want to curl up in bed, and it made him want to not do anything at all for days on end.
Gravis also actually had to try at his classwork, for he didn’t have anything that would help him speed up the process. He went from just doing almost 3 weeks of assignments in one night to only doing 2 or 3 days. Still more than some people, but it was so slow for Gravis.
The therapist that was supposed to help Gravis also was not the kind of person he would willing seek out himself. The therapist, Rachel, was way too peppy for Gravis’s taste, and she always tried to rationalize his feelings. She also tried to get Gravis to open up about his dad, but Gravis wouldn’t give her that satisfaction.
Gravis’s dad had been gone from his son’s life for a long time. Gravis had come to terms with that fact for a long time by then.
But Rachel still wouldn’t believe Gravis when he told her that he was not torn up on his dad anymore. She kept insisting that his dad leaving led Gravis to doing drugs.
Gravis’s mom also was still as unbearable as ever. She kept drinking and smoking everywhere in the house, but she was also a huge hypocrite as well. She kept digging through Gravis’s backpack as soon as he came home, and she kept yelling at him about lying to her. Gravis’s mom also made it a point to keep tabs on Gravis at all times, and she pretended that she was worried for Gravis’s safety. But they both knew it was to make sure Gravis didn’t lie to her again.
Gravis had to endure her for an hour three times a week.
But the worst part was that Gravis was prohibited from talking to Bolobo anymore. While they rarely saw each other outside of the backlot, they were pretty good friends. But now they were forced to not contact the other for anything. Something about ‘being bad influences on each other’ and ‘enabling the other’ and ‘codependency.’
So not only did Gravis need to go cold turkey, and he had to talk to the worst therapist ever, but he couldn’t even talk to his best friend.
Gravis knew that once he turned eighteen, he would be allowed to change this, but that was almost 6 months away.
So Gravis had to endure this. He could do that.
—---
Eventually, life became a bit easier. It took over 4 months, but it became easier.
Gravis finally wasn’t feeling so fuzzy and sluggish all the time. Now, he could at least find the strength to get out of bed most days. Even if he could barely stay standing after that.
His therapist appointments have been reduced to only one time a week, although they were still an hour each. They had gotten a bit better, since Rachel decided to stop going on and on about Gravis’s dad. Now, the two usually talked about what was going on in Gravis’s life.
Gravis also had finally gotten back into the habit of actually doing his school work again. It wasn’t a big deal really, but at the very least Gravis didn’t have to keep scrambling to keep up.
However, there were still some things that were still not the best.
Gravis’s mom was still drinking and smoking. While she could pretend all she wanted, she still was not doing anything to help herself.
Gravis wanted to scream at her. She was a hypocrite, and Gravis hated how much power she had over him.
It was even made worse by the fact that Bolobo and Gravis couldn’t see each other anymore. Gravis was under such strict restrictions as to who he was allowed to interact with by his mom, so he just straight up never talked to anyone.
Of course, Gravis should be okay with this. After all, he was doing better. He was not in danger of dying.
So why did he still feel so hollow? There was no one in the world who could answer that question for Gravis.
Gravis just had to survive.
He could become happier with his life.
He knew that he was just lying to himself.
He would be able to pass his classes.
If one ignored the fact that his grades were all Cs.
Eventually, he would be able to leave his mom’s grasp.
That was if there was a way for him to get out.
Gravis would have to just hold onto his hope.
Even though that seemed like it was a daunting task.
Everything was not going to be alright. There was many no reasons to worry.

Today was such a great day. For real I just had such a good time. I wish I walked a little more. But I got a lot of steps in and I will try more every time.
I slept okay last night. Waking up was hard but James was there. They made the bed while I got dressed. And honestly my outfit wasn't my best choice. I would end up a little to cold. But that was okay.
I was still sure I needed to wash my hair tonight but a hat would make me feel better today. James left and I would follow soon after. They had put some dumplings in a container for me and made me a bagel. They take care of me so much.
I had a nice drive out. When I forst got outside I was shocked to see that the little maroon car that has been parked in the same spot since March 2020 is gone????? Where did it go??? A dirt patch was left in it's place.
I drove out to came and got there around 8. I was proud of myself for driving to the right buildings in the right order be susd I saved myself so much time.
I would walk around and make sure everything was where it was supposed to be. And then to the lodge to read over my papers to make sure I had some stuff to fill in the time of my intro. Which is getting better but could still improve.
Soon I would go and find some of my parents volunteers at the office. I was over there getting my knitting. But it was good timing. I brought those three over to the lodge. Gave them the map and walkie and sent them off. Because they would need to find their spaces and get set up and got real the parents today were so on top of it. They were some of the best chaperones I have had.
They brought so much stuff! 8 logs! 10 bags of popcorn! Wipes! String! Jerky! So excellent. And slowly all the other parents came and I would send them off.
And they would do so good. A little before 10 the buses came. And both drivers knew Walter and were happy to hear her retired and was enjoying his time. The teachers had all been here before too. And it was nice to not feel like everyone was confused.
And they were such good kids too. They came in and we got started so fast. So I did my whole intro and was basically done at 1005. When I should be done at 1020. Oops.
So I explained the schedule. And the map. I should have done rules right away but forgot. I would do it before they left but oops. We broke into our animal groups. And then a bathroom break. And then they were off!!
I had a great day. It was snowing just a little. It would eventually become rain. And my coat did pretty well. I am going to do another layer of waterproofing but I am very pleased so far.
I would spend some time wandering. Checking in on everyone. And just. Exploring a bit. I would read. And catch up on my knitting. And have a snack. I would give 5 minute warnings and make sure everyone has everything they needed. And it was just such a lovely day.
I would also go and talk to Elizabeth about being full time. She told me that they are offering this role and one more full time position because of a grant. So that's awesome. And she thinks what I'm going to ask for it reasonable. She put a meeting for me with Alexi to talk about it on the 21st. So fingers crossed that goes well??
I would also talk to Heather later. About how I would need a new laptop to do the job well. And she gave me the contact of someone who used to be at camp who runs a space and is looking for more artists to do workshops! So that's awesome.
And then!! I finally got an email back from the craft castle about workshops and he wants to meet up to chat this week! Ah! Things are going so well. I really feel like financially I am starting to get a handle on things.
My foot would hurt a bit. I split it open a bit and so I stopped walking as much. But I would still check on everyone.
At lunch I went to heat my dumplings up. I read for a little. And then went to tell them to all ehsd to their programs. But then a dad started a screaming competition??? I was baffled. Like we were going to be out of there a minute or so early. But because oft this weird game we were almost late. Thankfully we would remain on time for the last two and I didn't have to stress.
I would make sure everyone knew the best and most helpful way to clean up at the end of the day. And then everyone would head back to the lodge.
We did a debrief. And I asked them lots of questions. Tried to help them make connections. But they were already so smart they were just so lovely.
Once it was time to go I handed the "mic" over to the head teacher and she would get them all on the bus. And then we said goodbye. What a nice day.
It would take me a while to make my way around collecting all the objects. I tried to put everything outside so getting it on the gater would be quick. But it still took me a while. I would head to the office and get the keys and even though it was raining and cold I was having fun driving around. And continued to be very proud of myself for doing tight k turns .
Once everything was loaded up I went to talk to Heather for a while. Love her. She's always the best.
And then texted James to ask about doing chipotle for dinner. It would start to rain again and I made the call to go straight to the museum. We would go and get chipotle together.
The drive to the museum was good though. Some traffic. Saw an accident. But I just enjoyed the drive and would get to the museum by 4.
And James would come out to meet me and we drove over to get dinner.
We ate and talked and the food was good and I was happy. But I was getting really tired.
My evening plans were light. Take off my nail polish. Wash my hair. Draw some sticker ideas (we are thinking about making themed packs. Baltimore being the first theme obviously).
And when we got home I would plan on jumping right into washing up but James beat me to the bathroom. So I went to cast some bears in resin. But I accidently splashed all my resin everywhere and it was a huge mess and I was super upset. James helped me clean it and then I went and took my nail polish off and washed my hair.
And I felt a little better after that. My hair looks and feels a lot better. I would fix my resin bears. And then in bed to work on my stickers. I made a Poe and a John Waters. I am afraid the Poe looks like Vincent Price but I love how they both look. And then it would just be cuddling with Sweetp and watching videos.
Now it is late. James was doing their podcast and had now joined me in bed. I ams really tired. Mostly my body. I am looking forward to two days off.
Tomorrow I want to do some clothes sorting. And then some cleaning. And maybe some art but I don't have any for sure plans around that. I just want to have a chill and good day.
I also hope I can sleep great. I hope you all sleep great too!!! Good night!! Love you!!
