Summary: Spending the day with your girlfriend on the day her first album releases.

A/n: In honor of Snow Angel releasing tomorrow I wanted to write this fluffy fic. I hope you enjoy and happy release day tomorrow!!

Ever since she woke up your girlfriend had been very nervous. Today was the day that she was going to share her first ever album with the world. It was simultaneously the most exciting and nerve wracking thing she had ever experienced. You were making breakfast in the kitchen, trying to take as many tasks away from Reneé, so that she would have the best experience today.

When you walked back to the bedroom with a tray full of food, you heard her talking to her phone. You lean against the door frame, hoping to not interrupt her. She looks up to you and smiles, you can see in her eyes just how much she loves and appreciates you. Reneé looks back at her phone and continues to talk. “I’m so excited to share these new songs with you. The songwriting for this album is so authentically me, I’ve poured my heart out with these lyrics. Sharing this piece of me is scary as hell, but at the same time it’s pretty amazing. So, yeah, I can’t wait to see all your reactions later, and happy album release day. I gotta go, breakfast is waiting for me. I love you all.” Reneé ends the live and turns to you. “It smells so good, baby.” 

You take the tray and set it down in front of her. “I made all your favorites.” She pulls you in for a kiss before she dives into the food. “You’re so amazing, thank you for being so good to me.” You lean in and kiss her, “Anything for my favorite girl.” You’re about to step away to clean up but Reneé takes your hand and gently pulls you back, “Can we lay here for a bit?” You cuddle into her side, “Hm, you know I would never say no to that.” 

About fifteen minutes later you gather the plates and head to the kitchen, you grab your phone and send a quick text out before Reneé joins you in cleaning up the dishes. Once you’re done, Reneé moves to the couch, she still looked rather nervous, so you knew now was the time for your surprise. “Hey baby, I’ll be right back.” You say as you head back to the bedroom. You take out your phone and press call. It takes a few rings before the call gets picked up, but then you see her face. You smile and wave at the woman in front of you and whisper, “Hi Denise, ready?” Making sure that Reneé doesn’t hear you in the other room. Denise turns the phone so you can see Charlie too, they both give you a thumbs up before going on mute. When Reneé released her EP her parents were there with her on release day, but sadly they were out of state for this release. You had cooked up a plan with her mom to surprise her. You keep the camera and microphone on on your end and carefully put the phone in a box that you quickly wrap like the other present that you got her. You knew having her parents here would mean so much to her. 

Reneé eyes widen in excitement when she sees you walking in with presents. “You didn’t have to get me anything, baby.” You smile and sit down next to her. “I know I didn’t have to but I wanted to. It’s your special day and I wanted to give you something small. I am so incredibly proud of you, you are an amazing person and you’ve created a phenomenal album. Happy release day, baby, I love you.” You hand her the first gift. She unwraps it and opens the box to reveal a silver chain necklace, her mouth opens wide, “It’s so beautiful, thank you so much!” You help her put it on before handing her the second gift. She opens the box and as soon as light comes into the box her parents yell out “Surprise!” She looks at the box in shock and takes out the phone. You see the tears welling in her eyes and put an arm around her. “I thought you couldn’t make it.” She cries out. “You didn’t think we’d miss our girl's big day, did you?” Charlie jokes. “We are so proud of you, honey.” Denise continues, “We wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Reneé leans into your side, “Thank you, thank you so much.” 

Before starting the live, Reneé quickly cleans up her face from the tears. You talk with her parents while you set up the stream for her on her laptop. To Reneé family is very important, so seeing you casually talking to them and also planning this with her mom, meant a great deal. She walks back into the room, and sits down at the counter. “Are you ready to show the world?” You ask as you put the laptop down in front of her. “I think so.” You reassure her one more time before she starts the live. “You have the most amazing fans. Your mom and I were just talking about how sweet they are. They have been going crazy over the little snippets of the songs you’ve shared. They are going to love your new songs as much as we do, it’s an amazing album. You’ve created something very beautiful.” Her parents give her one last pep talk before the live starts. 

Reneé talks to the thousands of fans that joined her stream to count down to the release. She’s answering questions and talking about the album. You look at her in awe as you watch her, totally in her element. The seconds on the countdown tick away and then there it is, the album is officially released. Reneé closes off the live, and says bye to her parents. The rest of the afternoon you spend cuddling up together on the couch watching all the reaction TikTok’s, reading all the comments and seeing all the Instagram mentions. One post sticks out, it’s on her mom’s Instagram. The captions read, “Happy release day Nay, so incredibly proud of you. So glad we got to be there on this special day. P.S. You’ve found yourself a keeper. Love M.” You look through the pictures that she posted, they were a collection of screenshots from the live and the facetime call. The last picture was a screenshot of you looking at Reneé during the stream, there was nothing but love and admiration on your face.
