Thinking about how Porco died wearing the wings of freedom on his arm instead of the Eldian armband he was forced to wear.
Tumblr media
His death was a sacrifice. His death was selfless. He died a free Eldian.

Ugh, effing GOD, I swear with each chapter, my hatred for Zeke grows more and more.  I’m up to 119, and the entire sequence with Falco and Colt was just... sickening.  Zeke’s really trying to act like it’s such a burden to him, to have to turn Falco into a Titan and kill Colt in the process.  It’s absolutely appalling, the way Colt pleads with Zeke to just wait until Falco is out of range before he screams, not even asking him to give up on whatever his plan is, but just asking him to wait, reminding him of the entire reason Colt agreed to inherit the Beast Titan in the first place, because he wanted to protect his family, and still, STILL, Zeke is unmoved.  But the most disgusting thing, I think, is how Zeke says to Colt, “You care for your little brother.  As do I.  So it is truly a shame.”  Alright, back up just a second here.  You know what this is?  It’s called hypocrisy folks.  This is, once again, Zeke absolving himself of his crimes by framing them as mercy.  This is, once again, Zeke installing himself as a martyr, taking on the burden of hard and painful decisions to do what’s “right”, because, you see, he’s really a hero, just doing what needs to be done to save humanity.  So even though it might seem heartless and cruel and mercenary for him to turn on all of his comrades and use them without hesitation against their wills, murder them all and leave them psychologically damaged for life, no, no, no, you’ve got it all wrong!  Zeke is doing this out of compassion!  Out of love, and care, and mercy!  See, he cares about Falco JUST AS MUCH as Colt, and he really is so sad about having to then turn Falco into a fucking Titan so he can sick him on Reiner, really very upset about literally using him as a tool to achieve his goal of him and Eren touching.  And see, because Zeke tells us he cares about Falco, we’re supposed to believe it.  And we’re supposed to believe that it’s really Zeke who’s the one actually suffering here, by having to hurt the ones he supposedly loves and cares for.  By having to kill people who trusted him and believed in him to the very end, and still, despite everything, cared for him, enough so to try and talk with him and show compassion towards him.  Because it’s all for the “greater good”.  And what is that greater good?  Oh, the euthanization of an entire race of people, that’s all!  Making sure no one can ever reproduce again so that an entire race of human beings goes literally extinct.  Deciding that the lives of entire, unborn generations are so worthless, that he should get to prevent them from even taking place.  That’s Zeke’s greater good.  Zeke is the heroic one, because he’s willing to take on the burden of this pain all by himself, the burden of stabbing every person who ever cared about him in the back, and doesn’t that just make him so special.  See, by MAKING people suffer, that’s how Zeke is going to save them from suffering!  What a genius!  What a noble, good, and kind man!  This is how he frames it.  This is how he sees himself.  He won’t just own up to the things he’s doing.  He won’t admit that they’re terrible, or define what he’s doing for what it actually is, won’t own any of it.  He redefines it all as some noble and heroic deed, frames it all as his noble and selfless sacrifice, his great gift to mankind, his generosity and kindness.  I guess him getting off on crushing people beneath boulders is just a manifestation of that kindness, huh?
Alright, I think I’m gonna puke.
This mother fucker.
Guess what?  Actions speak louder than words.  And all of Zeke’s sad frowny faces aren’t going to convince me for a second that this bitch actually cares at all, about anyone, or anything.  He’s so completely delusional, that he’s convinced himself of his own line of bullshit, that by murdering people, he’s saving them from suffering.  That he’s saving people from suffering by robbing them of their agency, their future, their lives.  And that he doesn’t actually have anything to be sorry for, because what he’s doing is mercy, and he’s the hero, because he’s the only one who can do what it takes by betraying everyone who ever gave a shit about him and believed in him.  Colt says to Zeke that “The Zeke I know would never bring children into this.”, and that reveals everything, doesn’t it?  Because, see, Zeke’s ALREADY brought children into this.  He already got two of the three warrior candidates killed in Liberio, could have and even intended to kill Gabi and Colt too, in the process, would have killed Falco, if Eren hadn’t kept him with him and Reiner in that basement.  He’s already gotten children into this by deciding that he was going to rob every future child of even being born.
The Zeke Colt knew, the Zeke Colt BELIEVED in, was a lie, and always was a lie.  He really thought, by reminding Zeke of their connection, reminding him of why he became a Warrior in the first place, reminded him of the bond they all shared, that Zeke would realize what he was doing, remember how much he cared about all of them, and stop.  But Zeke didn’t stop, didn’t even hesitate, or consider for a moment what Colt was saying or asking, because the truth about Zeke is that he’s never connected with another, single human being in his life.  He’s a severe sociopath, who feels nothing for anyone.  He just said “Oh, what a shame.”  and then turned Falco into a Titan and killed Colt on the spot.  He took the information Colt willingly shared with him about Falco ingesting his spinal fluid, and USED IT, intentionally turning Falco into a Titan then and there because he knew it would be advantageous in getting Eren to make contact with him.   It’s Zeke saying “Then it is truly a shame.” that makes me sickest of all, because once again we have Zeke acting at regret, pretending he’s sad and hurting over having to kill two children, like it’s such a burden to him to have had to do something so awful.  If you ever needed proof of Zeke’s egotism, of his utterly self-centered world view, well, here it is.  It’s his own pain that matters in this scenario, see, his own sacrifice.  It’s too bad about Falco and Colt, but I’m the one who’s truly suffering.  Fuuuuuuuck yoooooouuu Zeke.
Zeke does this shit again and again.  He did it during the battle of Shinganshina, when he killed countless soldiers, swinging wildly between uncontrollable rage and glee as he treated killing them like a game of baseball, literally using them as scapegoats for his anger at his father, to spouting off about how “sorry” he felt for the very people he was murdering, about how pitiful and sad their lives were, and how he was truly doing this for their own good, if only their little minds could comprehend his grand, genius vision.  Oh, poor Zeke, how awful the burden of uniqueness must be, to forever be so misunderstood.  Boo fucking hoo.  He did it again in the forest with Levi, after turning 30 soldiers into Titans and musing to himself about how deeply he regretted having to do it, how he didn’t want to, but how he had no choice, because Levi could “never understand” him, while in the next breath mocking them and Levi, bragging about how there wasn’t even a fight, laughing about it and weaponizing it in an attempt to hurt Levi even further.  And he does it again here, claiming he cares about Falco, and then turning him into a Titan and using him as a tool.  This guy is the biggest, most shameless hypocrite in the history of ever.  Everything, and I mean everything out of his mouth is a lie and a manipulation.  Doubletalk and deflection and delusion.  He doesn’t mean anything he says, other then his obvious, deluded belief in himself as some kind of uniquely special hero who’s going to save the world through his brilliant understanding of all it’s problems.  Even if he has to create those problems himself, apparently.
I just can’t with this guy.  I can’t.  His sense of self-aggrandizement, delusions of grandeur and self-centered egotism, coupled with the obvious pleasure he takes in hurting others, makes him a rank piece of trash.  I don’t care what anyone says.  That’s what he is.

this is how i think season 4 part 1 should end
manga spoilers under the cut
it’s not gonna end like this because there’s no way they can get to this point in 2 episodes but this is nice to think about
chapter 119; after the whole fight right when gabi shoots eren’s head off, you hear the gun shot and then everything just goes silent, all you see is eren’s body slowly falling to the ground and his head flying and zeke’s hand outstretched as far as it can go.
eren’s head falls into zekes hand and the centipede comes out and the screen flashes white to black or whatever, and the outro starts playing in the background while the screen and we transitions from black to the sand of paths by the camera spanning up until we see eren’s feet and the paths tree thing, eren standing in front of it and this imagery specifically;
Tumblr media
while we here the outro shock by yuko playing in the background and then the episode ends
TELL ME THAT WOULDNT BE SO FIRE????

So... what are your thoughts on the new chapter? And alot of people saying that Zeke brought this upon himself, that he deserves to lose someone he cares about, that Eren has that coming. What about Porco, Colt, Titan Falco, Nile and Pixis?
[to everyone reading this, this is about chapter 119]
i was lucky enough to not see anyone saying the things you mention but i am not surprised. zeke brought this to himself? yes, but he knew the risks. as so did eren. they were ready to take all the risks for their plan (a.k.a their two different plans) to succeed. and now let’s get to the real bullshit. zeke deserves to lose someone he cares about? REALLY? zeke never had ANYONE to care for and at the same time no one cared for HIM. eren was the first person he truly cared for (as chapter 120 showed he didn’t trust him 100% but STILL) so i’m saying he deserves all the love.
as for the deaths, they were very sad and they had an impact on me but at the same time i was expecting them and tbh as weird as it may sound, i hope to see deaths in this series. you can’t tell me a series like snk can end with minimum casualties. all the characters sort of did their good deed before they died and that is very satisfying. nile was a secondary character i really appreciated and i loved how isayama used him.
the best thing for me in this chapter though was the focus on the three different pairs of brothers and the parallels/connections between them. we have marcel and porco, colt and falco, zeke and eren. the way i see it, marcel and porco are the past, colt and falco are the present and zeke and eren are the future. for the galliards brothers self-sacrifice is prevalent, for the colt brothers the need to protect is prevalent and for the jaeger brothers ...the need to save? we will see.
porco’s death, with him seeing that crucial memory, was ..can i say cool? it was a really fcking cool death. ‘i was the better man to the end’ is so porco. i loved it. he sacrificed himself to save someone just like marcel did. so with this, the galliard chapter is closed.
then we move on to the grices. we finally have some insight on colt and learn that he doesn’t actually care for the war and for being loyal to marley but all he wants is to secure his family and protect his little brother. he wants to protect him from becoming a titan just like how falco wants to protect gabi by inheriting the armor titan. though it doesn’t work out. titan falco was horrifying but the way things played out is really interesting. colt died protecting his brother and falco’s life was saved by porco. so in a weird turn of events, the galliards’ chapter ties with the grices. which now makes me think that falco may be involved with the fate of the jaegers. that the stories of these brothers are not exactly separate but instead influence one another.
who knows, maybe falco will step in and have a few words with zeke or eren just like colt did before his death. i am looking forward to see how their stories continue.
i really liked this chapter and i’m sorry i am letting you know 1 month+ after you asked :(

Reiner is going to survive the plot.
If Isayama wanted to kill him off for good, he probably would've done it by now. But he's not going to die. Nor I think he would be eaten by a successor. The Curse of Yami likely would be lifted at the end of the series. So Reiner can get to live his full lifespan, looking after Gabi and Falco, and get to heal from his traumas. He's not going to fully recover probably, but I hope he finally gets to live peacefully, and have a chance to atone for his sins.

The more I see Gabi on scene, the more I feel there is a gun being pointed towards my head to forgive her. Everything she does just annoys the piss out of me. Building tension so i could forgive her is literally forcing me to. Sorry, that's not how forgiveness works. Just because you shoot eren, who may or may not be a bad guy, isn't gonna change my mind how I'm tired of seeing you.
Hell, for some people, shooting Eren made her even worse. Having a lazily-written side character killing off the MC isn't usually a smart move.

To You, 2000 years from now.
A completely messy infographic about what we know about the coordinate so far, especially with this chapter now. but I think it will be horrible to zoom in and see the photo in high quality on the phone.

How do you think the 104th will react to Erens head being shot off? Do you think Connie/Mikasa will finally lose it and try to kill Gabi aka the same girl who killed Sasha?
It’s hard to say. I don’t think shooting Eren is grounds for murderous revenge at this point, because Eren’s been such a dick to his friends that you can’t really blame someone for shooting someone.
The people who would be most emotionally harmed by Eren losing his head have already had their hearts broken by him, and they’ve all seen how bad things are for Gabi. I don’t think anyone in the 104th has it in them to kill a little girl for pulling the trigger they all wondered about.
(Floch is an outlier and should not be counted. On a related note, Gabi might want to run very, very far away from Zeke.)
As for the actual reaction to Eren’s head being shot off... uh.
Uh.
Mikasa and Armin are going to be devastated if that sticks long enough. No one wants to see someone’s head blown off, and hey love Eren too much for a year of him being the worst to erase him as their family.
Connie, I can see finally understanding why Eren laughs after Sasha’s death. It’s just one more incomprehensible bit of violence in a sea of chaos. With this being one he might have called a good thing a few hours earlier, it’s going to cut even deeper. Something has gone horrifically wrong with all of his family, and all that’s left is the end is Connie, not even knowing how to find his reaction anymore.
Jean’s the one who has to keep the cool head, and yikes no one should envy that. He’s the one who has to look at Paradis officially losing the Founding Titan. While the ruin of everything Eren’s done recently comes to eat the rest of them.
There’s nothing to say. Eren fucked them all over, and if there was a reason for it, an explanation--it’s not something they get to hear. He’s gotten himself killed, just like Jean always thought he would. Only the circumstances are worse than he ever thought they could be.
Eren’s head gets blown off, and it’s Jean’s job to act like their entire island didn’t just lose their best chance of survival. It’s Jean’s job to get everyone out of Shiganshina. It’s Jean’s job to let all the implications of Eren dying wait, all while they’re screaming inside his head.
Connie, Armin, and Mikasa have already had their hearts ripped out by Eren. They already don’t know how to handle their feelings for him. Jean’s been most accepting of the wait to find out what’s going on.
Only with Eren dying, he’ll never know. All the good will he held in reserve is irrelevant. Waiting gives him a base of logic to fall back on while Eren’s destroying everything. There’s some margin.
Then that’s one more thing that’s destroyed, and it’s Jean’s job not to give in to the hurt.
I, for one, welcome our imminent emotional devastation. Thanks for asking. :)

I don't want Eren to betray Zeke. Though I always wanted Eren to reach his goal and Paradisians be free, now I find myself desperately wanting him to be on one side with Zeke, even if it's an euthanasia plan. :'( It's just that... Zeke doesn't deserve to be betrayed by the only person he loves. Why does it hurt so much? Btw, how do you think what Zeke's next actions are going to be now that Eren is (supposedly) dead?
hey anon i know i am ridiculously late with my reply and i am very sorry :((
i will answer you based on knowledge from chapter 120 so proceed to read after you’ve read the chapter.
ok so, even before 120 dropped i would already tell you that i disagree with eren not betraying zeke. he had to betray him simply because the euthanasia plan is... crazy. even if it meant that these two would cooperate i couldn’t accept it.
and now we have chapter 120 where this actually happens, eren betrays zeke... but it goes both ways. zeke also ‘’betrays’’ eren in the sense that he was prepared for his little brother to disagree and had taken measures. it does hurt to see them not trusting each other but it makes perfect sense. they both have their own separate goals and they hadn’t known each other for long.
as for zeke’s next actions i don’t think i could predict them after chapter 119 and 120 proves that indeed i could have never guessed that. i was thinking that they would both see memories and it actually happened but not in this way. it was a very interesting turn of events.
to end this in a positive note though, their relationship may change! it looks like zeke is starting to see things differently. the best thing that can happen is for him to understand he is wrong and help eren in the end. we will see in 121. fingers crossed!
