thinkin about how it’s canon that in-universe there’s merchandise produced for popular champions, iirc one of the newspapers in the opening cutscene says replica bloodhound masks were produced and sold out overnight

i’m thinking that apex games participants likely have to sign over the use of their likeness along with filling out the next of kin info and liability waivers, which would make sense - the apex corp probably draws in way more money from merchandise sales than they spend on paying champions, if we’re assuming that watching the apex games is a planetary system-wide pastime like watching baseball or something

i just like thinking about what would inevitably be produced. cereal, toys, commercials, collectables, clothing, kids’ costumes, poorly voiced cartoons, trading cards, etc., and of course, cheap knock-offs with the wrong colors and names like DUPLICATE MAN and SNIFFDOG
