Always a nice day to draw an earthworm guy - Really liked playing around with the line art this time. Also a bit of a style practice with drawing the wackier mouth he has
Oh and can't forget this guy too! I was heavily referencing the pixelated Jim in the background. I just really love how they draw him lol

It's got nothing to do with Puyo Puyo and everything to do with Sailor Moon! Here's a remix of the theme that plays in Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus' area in Sailor Moon SuperS: Fuwa Fuwa Panic, aka my favorite song on the soundtrack. I had a lot of fun making this, and I hope you have as much fun listening!
Notes and stuff are under the cut!
Arranger's Notes:
Oh boy, second music project in a row where I've set the panning of tracks to change! It's not a super big thing, as I've already fiddled around with things in LMMS that weren't panning (but were very similar) but I thought it was worth mentioning.
When I was making this remix, I wanted to try and spruce up the tune - the actual song sounds pretty empty. I couldn't quite make my usual string chords work there, though, and decided to ditch them altogether and add more single-tone stuff.
I had a drum track for a cover of a song with a similar beat to this laying around, so I just copypasted that into this and made some additions.
I used the GMGSx soundfont (aka stock MIDI soundfont) for the drums. I tried using other soundfonts, but they just didn't sound as nice, so I kept my good old default SF.
Other than that, I tried out a brand new soundfont in this remix! I love collecting these things.
goddammit bandai jupes is literally the senshi of thunder why does her special suck so bad in this game

Mario enemy drawing :0
My favorite enemy from Super Mario World (along with Dino Rhinos and Dino Torches), I just like their color pattern and silly design. I wonder what lots of dragons are doing in a place called Dinosaur Land, because some sources mention they're dinosaur-like dragons, others say they're dinos, I guess they're just weirdos. Also, when I was a kid it was odd to me how they looked like Yoshis, and how Yoshi had no problem eating them. Despite all that, I really like them, they're awesome critters and fun characters to draw
Technically this was the first drawing that I made in 2024 (I say this because I've made some others, but they're more lineart to me), and my first drawing colored with alcohol markers that I got on Christmas. Also, this was inspired by my Tweeter drawing, since I only planed to draw the Rex but ended up drawing a small background based on the game

This is the most unique way to know you got a bad ending in a game.
In Nosferatu (1994), if you lose eight times and continue, you get bitten by your vampire turned girlfriend who you saved from the titular vampire.
The continue screen shows a picture of the protagonist and his girlfriend, but there’s something a bit more to it.
And the game will let you know that you’re too late on the continue screen after eight times, on the bottom picture, the woman has vampire fangs and if you pick NO on the screen, the cutscene of the vampire biting her will not play.

Obligatory Earthworm Jim Post - Groovy!
I love his design so much, lol. I still feel like he looks a little off, (I tend to draw him with a thicker head) so I definitely have to keep on practicing how to draw the worm guy

Probably the last music thing for the month. This is a remix of the song that plays during the first area of Dream Land, the second stage of the Sailor Moon beat-em-up on the Super Famicom! I have an updated version in the works, but I think this will do for now. This song is what I'd call the stand-out tune from the game's soundtrack, mostly owing to how upbeat it is compared to the other songs from the game. I really wanted to remix this one since the first time I heard it, and so I did! Enjoy!
As always, dev notes are under the cut!
Arranger's Notes:
Funny thing about the key in this one: I first played the game on an online emulator, and that emulator has an odd quirk with the sound where it seems to be around a semitone lower than it's supposed to be. This song's original key is D Major, but thanks to the emulator I heard it in C# Major. I liked the way it sounded, so I just kinda went with that.
This song is a fusion of the song from the game and a fully orchestrated version from the "Sailor Moon Game Music" album.
This remix was originally a loop! I added the ending bit on from the orchestrated version I mentioned earlier.
