How wrong words become wrong numbers

There's a viral video of nurses saying "this is me 12 hours before my shift" looking nice, then "this is me 12 hours after my shift," looking haggard and tired.

The implication is nonsense--12 hours before and after your shift is when you're in bed, at the grocery store, or on another shift. Why are you looking so tired if your shift ended 12 hours ago?

OK, I understand, I know what they meant, I get it! They meant to say "before and after my 12-hour shift." That is the only logical explanation. It's fine! I get the joke! No hate!

I know some people do not care how numbers work and want to tell me "you must be fun at parties! You and your technicalities! Those two sentences mean the same thing! You can't expect regular people to know the difference between two sentences that have most of the same words in them!"

But like...I...think you generally should try to understand numbers...

Imagine if you're on a dose of a medication that is 100 milligrams/day. Through reasonable testing and logic and...however medical professionals decide these things...it is decided your dose should be increased by 25%. Great.

Imagine one of these nurses wrote down that your dose should be 25 times what it was. Now you're taking 2500 milligrams or 2.5 grams per day.

And now you're dead.

Or it could be something even simpler.

"OK Mrs. Fancy Pants!" says the hypothetical innumerate nurse. "It's not my fault the pharmacist is too dumb to know what I mean when I say 25 times! Fine, I'll write the new dose should be 25 percent of what it was! Happy?"

Now your dose is 25 milligrams per day. It was supposed to be 25% more than 100 milligrams/day, which is 125 milligrams/day. You're dead again!

"But I'm not a doctor so it doesn't matter!"

It might matter to you one day. What if you're the one taking the pills? The doc says one pill every two days, and that sounds like the same thing as two pills every one day, right? Nope! DEAD AGAIN!

There are also many examples of scamming people because they don't understand numbers. It would be pretty unwise to sign a lease agreement that simply said "rent is 900." If my friend told me that, I would assume they mean "rent costs USD$900.00 per month." I understand the implication between trusted friends and casual conversation!

But in a contract with someone sketch? Maybe they mean 900 Bitcoins per minute. Some things have to be specific.

There is actually a whole scammy-ass company, ClickaSnap, that banks on the idea that their audience doesn't understand the difference between a dollar and a penny. It sounds like a mistake that no one would make, but they are fairly sneaky about it. In this video, the videographer says, "They're going to pay you 90 cents per view per photo." Wow, that's a lot!

The image on the screen says, "up to 0.90 cents per view." The "up to" has a lot of qualifications, including paying them a monthly subscription, and they don't say why anyone would go to that website to look at pics anyway. And what's that decimal doing there? Does a decimal...change a number?

It's not 90 cents per view. It's .9 cents per qualified view. That is 9/10ths of a penny. (The same mistake is here and there were a bunch more but I think TT took some down.) I understand it's probably because 90 cents is sometimes written as $0.90--yes, those are the same--but that dollar sign is important! 0.90 DOLLARS is different than 0.90 PENNIES.

Anyway! Just wanted to warn you to be careful of the interactions between numbers and words, especially when it's important!

Creeper is from a friend/fellow tattoo artist who I trade tattoos with a bunch (but we still pay each other bc BILLS…), party dragon was from a dragon tattoo trade, worm on a string was from a friend who’s apprenticeship started same time as mine, pink axolotl is from my coworker who is sooooo freakin cool….i aspire to be like her so much…. And anime eyes heart gal is from a super cool friend that I went to college with! We reunited when I started tattooing and got a lot of laughs on how long it took to get our degrees and now we aren’t even “using” them HAHSG

Mob is from the same buddy that did the creeper and another one you’ll see in a sec, the kitties are from ANOTHER pal who started apprenticing same time as me! They’re actually arranged to be a subtle ⚢ sign bc IM A HOMOSEXUALLLLL~~ the symbol beneath these is the ol symbol from gravity falls that I ALSO stick and poked in college YEP…. Love Bug and the firefly are by a buddy from Virginia! One day I’m gonna get a “mean” version of love bug on my other thigh and it’s gonna say “bug off” 🤩 and the colorful leopard is from ANOTHER buddy trade that I did with a very cool friend!!

I have even less up here because getting arm tattoos makes it hard to work pfft….

I LOVE canti from OG FLCL (I love robots with sick designs so much…) and I love the show as well (introducing me to the Pillows was so PIVOTAL…) so I have him not once but TWICE form different ppl. The one with the flowers was from my mentor who turned out to be a sucky person so BOOO but I still love the tattoo~ the claptrap and OTHER canti are from a neat guy that I LOOOVE his style but his shop is sooo traditional and it’s lowkey uncomfortable even though he’s nice so idk if I’ll go back for a third. The Grievous is from the same buddy that did the creeper and mob!!! It’s so cool too bc my freckles make HIM have freckles and it’s adorable to me. And finally my VERY first tattoo I ever got, the big ufo abducting a pumpkin!!

This was done by Kelly McGrath in North Carolina and she was so sosososo sweet, gave me free prints, let me video call some of it to my family because we were VERY very far away from each other, AND I got to tell her years and years later that she inspired me so much that I became a tattoo artist myself!! And I even got to ask her a question or two and she responded so nice :,,)

SO YEAH I don’t have much rhyme or reason to my picks besides preferring color tattoos to be the majority, but my goal now is to collect tattoos from some very cool people and take my time filling up my body with art!! Eventually I would like to extend to my hands (palms included) and feet (JUST THE TOP I AM NOT DOING MY SOLES), neck, body, and maybe a few on my face near the outer perimeter/outer corner of eyes/above eyebrows! But that’ll probably be way off bc I work a LOT like I said at the beginning! Always the tattooer, never the tattooed HAHA

Hoo boy. There's been a lot over the last couple days. Sorry again for the delays crew.. and thank you so much for all the kindness and love you've been sending to me and my dad.

I just wanted to say tonight that it's been so damn lovely seeing everyone happy again. Sure there's been some conjecture too as there always will be with big fan events, but for the most part-- the pure amount of joy and fun that came out of Babe Day and the S2 Finale Anniversary was something that recharged my tired heart with love. Especially with David, Alex, Samba, and everyone else who joined into the mix answering questions or sharing BTS. The fandom feels electric and alive, and I hope we still stay that way going forward until we inevitably hear about S3 (I'm manifesting, you can't stop me!). I wanted to share my squirrely friend Fat-Gus has been successful in his diet that I made him go on. I took down the birds feeders, save for the hummingbird feeders, and started just tossing out a handful of bird seed into the yard a day for the birds and of course any squirrels that show up. I just wanted to make sure he didn’t get dependent on bird seed, don’t worry though he is still plump enough for the winter.

My local squirrels are losing their minds trying to stock up for winter. Most of them are typically very standoffish, but now they're willing to get close if it means I'll toss them a peanut. Here's one of the shy ones. I haven't given him a name.

The only local squirrel I've named is Bean, the one in my profile pic and pinned post. She's the bravest of the local suburb squirrels and often shows up at the kitchen window to ask for nuts, and I can recognize her by her behavior and the notch in her left ear. Bean is the boss of the backyard; the other squirrels are afraid of her. I know that some of them are her (adult) children, and she'll typically let them grab some food without any argument. But anyone else has to be sneaky and fast, because she'll growl and chase them away.

Day one - Rome, Italy

One of my favourite things about being a WWE superstar is getting the opportunity to travel the world. Because of my job I’ve been in more places that I could have ever imagined and made memories that will last a lifetime. Today we are in one of my favourite places, Rome.

One of my least favourite things about being a WWE superstar though was definitely the travel and itinerary- I get to a new place and don’t have time to see all the sights. its airport, hotel, gym, meet and greets, arena, match, then on the road again.

Meet me in the lobby in 5.

I wasn’t really going to ask Jon, I mean how could I? This whole trip I have to try and avoid him, however I feel like fate has other plans, I was informed late last night that Jon and Josh would join me in doing press for the tour, doing meet and greets and TV appearances to get everyone hyped up for the shows. As long as we aren’t alone together nothing would happen…….right?

One thing I wanted to tick off my bucket list when visiting Rome was going to the Trevi Fountain. Seeing it there in front of me took my breath away, the beauty it holds, the history and traditions. Ugh to have this on my doorstep every day would be a dream. We had found a small gelato shop near the fountain and decided to find a place to sit near by the fountain.

“Okay, fine I’ll admit it, the gelato was a good idea.”

“Of course it was a good idea Josh, are you doubting me and my choices?”

“You know damn well I don’t trust you.” He says

Acting offended I shift myself further away from him, Josh turns to look at me grinning ear to ear.

“Don’t know what you’re smiling at, you’ve just bumped yourself down the list of what Fatu brother I like more.”

“Well number 2 ain’t so bad.”

“Try 3”

Annoyed he reply’s “3? What you mean 3, who else you know except me and Jon!”

Realising I got him right where I want him “well Joe obviously, I’ve spoke with him a few times and he is such a sweetheart, I think he might actually be my favourite brother.”

He didn’t have a come back, he just sat there eating his gelato like a grumpy little kid. I take a few sneaky pics to send to Trin, captioned “fun with your grumpy ass brother in law.”

Josh reaches into his pocket and places two coins in front of us.

“Let’s go throw these in the fountain then.”

“Wait, how did you know I wanted to do that?”

“Cause believe it or not yn but I listen to you, you are one of my closest friends and I love ya, if there is something you wanna do you damn sure I wanna make it happen. That’s what family does.”

I couldn’t see him, my eyes were filling with tears. Never in my life have i had someone care so much. We fight like cat and dog but underneath it all there is pure love and adoration for each other.

“Okay don’t get all soppy on me” he jests. “Let’s throw our coins and get back before there is a search party.”

Grabbing my hand we walk over to the fountain and throw our coins in tradition states if you throw a coin in you are wishing that one day you will come back to Rome and with every fiber of my being i was hoping that one day i would.

“Thank you” i whisper to Josh.

“Don’t mention it, though I do hope I ain’t last on yo list anymore?”

Laughing I announce “A solid 2 for sure now.”

Another part I love about being a WWE Superstar is getting the opportunity to meet the fans. The WWE universe has the best, most intense fan base in the world.

In the store where the meet and greet was happening, It was a basic set up, a long table, a seat for each of us and a backdrop with our image plastered over it. The queue was already around the block, with a mixture of kids, teens and adults all waiting to meet us.

“I’m really nervous, this is my first international meet and greet - what if no one is here for me.” I start to panic.

Josh looks at me and in his usual joshy manner tries to make it all better “yn we know no one is here for you, and honestly you are killing the mood. Put yo big girl panties on and let’s get this over with huh?”

And just like that the mood has been lifted and he has me laughing.

“I honestly hate you J.”

Jon who had been observing finally breaks his silence. “You can sit between us, that way we can comfort you if it gets too much.” Comfort me……..

A little too eagerly I agree. The first few fans come in and just like that all my nerves and panic washed away and I was in autopilot.

“How you doin now yn? Eased into it okay?” Josh enquires

“I’m fine J, I just let my ner……”

Heat. That was the only thing I could feel. My thigh tingling under his touch, Jon’s touch.

“Yo yn, you good?” Josh looks at me concerned.

“Yep fine, just got a little cramp in my leg, feel like we have been here for hours.” I brush him off, along with moving Jon’s hand off my leg. Think of Trin, think of Trin I repeat in my head.

The last of the fans come and go, it’s been a sweet afternoon watching Jon and Josh interact with everyone, you can see the love and passion they have for this business and the fans. Maybe teaming with them on this European tour won’t be so bad after all.

Backstage WWE LIVE, Rome Italy,

The crowd had been electric all night. There is no major storylines, no characters and no set of rules to follow just purely wrestling. Our match was a mixed tag match, myself and The Uso’s v Indie, Theory and Waller. Going out and having fun with everyone and the crowd is what it’s all about, the passion the fans give in return for the show you put on makes all the travel, injuries and lack of sleep worth it.

After any of my matches I like a debrief, things I could have done better, things I did great etc, it’s how I grow and learn, however fate was having none of that tonight. Walking back to the female dressing room I felt a strong pair of hands grab my arms and pull me into a secluded corner of the arena, from the way my skin was burning at the slightest touch I knew it could only be one man - and I was in trouble.

“Have you been avoiding me all day?”

“Em, earth to Jon? We saw each other at the meet and greet.” I laugh trying to break the tension

“Oh I remember..” Edging closer to me with fire in his eyes he continues “I’ve been thinking about how nice your thigh felt, and wondered what else felt nice.”

Gulp

Think of Trin yn.

Keep it light and funny yn “Plus I was busy with Josh all morning, he took me out for some gelato - I’m a busy woman Jon.”

“Yeah, Josh told me about the gelato. Is there a reason I wasn’t invited?”

His heavy eyes stuck on mine, waiting for my answer.

“Honestly it was a last minute thing, next time I’ll make sure you get an invite.” Trying to leave his hand leans on the wall behind me enclosing us in even closer. His free hand finds its place perfectly on my hip before it starts to lower slowly, like he was trying to memorise how each part of me felt before placing his hand on my butt, grabbing onto it with his powerful grip.

“How bout we skip the gelato and i give you some of my cream.”

Fire, passion, a need for only him. That’s all I felt in that moment. It consumed me. Jon looked at me like I was the only girl on the planet.

After weeks of playing cat and mouse, he caught me. His lips finally found their way onto mine, a low moan slowly released from his mouth, like a weight had been lifted from him, his hands tracing every inch of my body. I didn’t want him, I needed him and in that moment I’m what he needed too.

You had just picked up Soobin, already returning to your apartment. It was a movie night, and you knew how busy he was, but he insisted on spending time with you before leaving for his tour, even with the preparations already in full force. He was still making time for you, nonetheless.

As you reach a red light, Soobin urges you to look at a picture he took earlier. He wants you to compliment him on their new concept, but you don't dare fall for his tricks.

"Wow," you say in mock awe.

"You didn't even look, ugh, here!" he practically forces the phone into your face. The brightness blinds you briefly before you look at the photo. Damn, he looked good. The photo in front of you entirely took you away. Now you know how MOA feels. And he took your silence as an agreement. 

"I know I'm so sexy in this, right?"

"No, I was looking at Beomgyu. He's been looking a little too good recently, and the long hair suits him." You genuinely complimented the guy.

"Ew, please, I look better. Next thing you know, I'll be in a mullet for the next shoot. Ah, look at this one!" Soobin attempts to show you the next photo, but the light has already turned green. 

"Whatever, I know what you'll say anyways," and he continues to smile at himself, tapping away at his screen. 

"Okay, mister, and speaking of your bandmates, when am I meeting them?" you had been meaning to meet the four of them. Soobin always talks about them, and it warms your heart to know he has such kind people to surround him in such a stressful field. Recently, Hueningkai had texted you, but you didn't believe it was him. It would make sense since you know Soobin, but you were still cautious. You had forced him to prove himself, and when he sent a sneaky pic of him and Soobin sleeping in the background, you just had to believe him. Kai told you that Soobin mentioned your guys' similar plushie collections, and your friendship grew from there. 

"I know you just want to because of Beomgyu, but no, you can't. You're mine."

Oh, does he know what that does to your heart?

"…Maybe, BUT I really wanna meet Kai. Kai has been showing me the recent penguin plushie he bought, and I wanna meet a fellow squishmallow connoisseur." 

"You feed his addictions; it's not good. And I don't even know how he got your number!" He suspects that Kai took his phone to steal it from him after mentioning you once to the guys. He regrets ever bringing you up because now you and the guys want to meet one another, and he can't have that happen as much as he appreciates the people he loves the most actually liking each other; he likes the dates the two of you have... just you two. 

"Whatever! I'll meet them one day. It's bound to happen~."

"Maybe one day.." As his sentence begins to trail off, the expression on his face changes to a familiar one that tells you he's thinking. 

"But you and I both know you would never be able to say a word to Beomgyu. Also... why is he your bias? Hello, I'm right here!" He's been pestering you about that ever since his debut. 

He doesn't understand why you would not like him the most. He's your best friend, why Beomgyu?!

"That might be true, but don't call me out. Let me live." 

"Yeah, in your delusions? It's unhealthy to be stuck there, but I can help you get out."

You had already reached your apartment's parking garage, settling into your designated parking spot and turning your car off. 

"Yeah? And how's that?" you turn to look at him to see what he means.

He places his arm behind your car's headrest and points at himself with his other hand. 

"Me." and he has that damned grin on his face. You push him lightly with the palm of your hand, but enough to see that he has hit the back of his seat. Your giggles are all that's left before you begin packing your things. 

"Sure," you say as you gather your phone and keys from their holders—the car doors closing, resonating throughout the garage walls, and the familiar smell of gasoline and others you can't name became more prominent.

"Oh, come on, you know you love me," and he wiggles his eyebrows in your direction.

"I only use you for body heat, if anything." you look at him deadpan.

"Oh, so I'm being used." he feigns hurt, hand against his chest as you walk towards the elevators. 

"Yup!" You comment gleefully.

The time you take to reach your apartment feels like little to nothing despite you taking residence on the 20th floor. Quick banter and giggles fill the halls. You fear one of your neighbors will hear and complain. 

Once inside, he removes his shoes and slips into the slippers you bought for him with enlarged eyes and vibrant blue peeking out from under his sweats. He smiles to himself, reminded of his fond memory of you surprising him with the pair. He recognized them the instant you had flaunted them in your hands, already wearing the matching pair in a light green. You had shown him a video of the slippers once, insistent that you needed them because they could tongue kiss and hold hands. 

Making himself comfortable on your couch, he grabs the remote as it's his turn to pick the movie for tonight. He had nothing in mind but wandered to those Studio Ghibli films you love. He could understand why you liked them so much, having watched all of them with you on a movie marathon. He was happy to see you indulge yourself in the numerous scenes played on screen and be there for you when it got emotional. You were the type to cry during movies, and he cherishes the fact his shoulder is the one you chose to cry on. You set the snacks you prepared beforehand on the coffee table in front of him before heading to your room to get ready.

When you return, he's on his phone but quickly looks up to see you in one of the hoodies he thought he lost. But unfortunately, he's not too mad seeing you being its captor. If anything, butterflies fill his stomach, and he distracts himself by scooting to make space for you beside him. 

Your small figure in his hoodie does things to his heart, and he knows he's got to do something about these feelings he has for you. But it's probably too late, seeing how affected he is, and you aren't even cuddling yet. 

You take your place on the couch, snuggling into his side and placing the blanket over the both of you. The warmth that floods you is comforting against the cool air. You look at the screen ahead, and your eyes widen slightly as you recognize the familiar title. 

"Ponyo? I thought you wanted to watch that one anime you like." You were curious why he had picked the movie since it was one that you watched when you were feeling down or just needed something to listen to while you slept. You forget the unfortunate end of a particular character he loves, as you mention in the anime series. The mood then dampens, and his expression becomes downturned. 

"Ahh, sorry, I forgot he died. RIP Gojo"

"Too soon…" he says. "It's bad enough. I had to be reminded of it live the other day." You remember seeing this moment live (what can you say? You're a fan!) and could only watch and adore the cute expressions on his and Kai's face.

"Sorry, sorry," you say, chuckling at his expression. You poke the sides of his cheeks, feeling pity about his loss. "Let's just watch the movie then."

As the movie begins to play, a scene comes up where Ponyo heads straight for Sosuke. She passes the mom, who holds her arms open for the little girl, only to see her run and hug her son just behind her. It's an adorable scene, and you can feel the pure childlike happiness flowing from it. It's reasons like these that have always drawn you to these films. 

Suddenly, Soobin nudges your shoulder to get your attention. 

"That's us," eyes never straying from the scene before him. 

"Yeah, and you're the mom, right?"

"Shut up.. hey we should dress up for Halloween together."

"Yeah? You as Sosuke and me as Ponyo?" You suggest.

"Yeah! I'm sure I have a plain yellow shirt somewhere.." He ponders the thought that, if anything, he can always scavenge through the other guys' clothes.

"You fit the part, but.. I don't know how I would look as a ginger. Never thought of myself in red." Honestly, you thought red was good as a clothing choice, and you had never dyed your hair besides when you thought going blonde was a good idea. But, ever since, you stuck to staying natural.

"Well, we can buy a wig and test it out, so you don't have to commit. No matter what, I think you'll look cute."

"Maybe… oh, but my friends are gonna be on my ass about this." The realization dawns on you. How could you forget? Their nagging comments still ring in your ears (out of love <3). 

"Why?" he questions, cocking his head to the side. 

"Couples costumes? They already think we're in cahoots." You say as you quote the last word with your hands. 

"Of course, I always tell them you don't think of me as anything more than a friend." you let out a nervous laugh and take a bite of the treats before you to distract yourself after revealing such information. You think about all the times Soobin has come over, and your roommate mischievously wiggled her eyebrows at you. 

They'd get a kick out of this one…

“…”

But when Soobin doesn't say anything, it worries you a bit. Did you say something wrong? 

"Hey, is something wrong?"

"No, I just.. it.. Nevermind." 

"You sure? You know you can always tell me. I won't judge." You can tell he's hesitating, but you don't want to pressure him. You're already ready to take back your statement, but he begins to speak up again.

"I... I know you won't. It's just, what if I see you like that... more than a friend, I mean."

You pause. What? 

There's no way that Choi Soobin would like you, of all people? I mean.. he's surrounded by beautiful idols every day at work... What could he ever see in you romantically? You're way out of his league, and the thought has your mind doing laps. You don't know what to say, and he takes your silence as a rejection.

"Sorry, I knew it was stupid. I didn't want to make it awkward; I just thought that tonight would be the night I would finally be able to tell you how I felt."

You continue to stare at him as he fiddles with his fingers. His eyes are darted to the side, away from your knowing gaze. But he continues to spill his heart out for you to hear.

"Maybe it was just me or the way the guys would tell me you might feel the same that's making me say this… Sorry, I shouldn't have told you. I was worried I would ruin what we had, and I couldn't lose you, but.. Ugh, I've already done it."

His shoulders shake as he closes in on himself, regretting his decisions. You immediately take his hands in yours, making him look back at you from the sudden contact. 

"You don't have to say anymore, Binnie." as you place one of your hands on his cheek, his eyes watery, you hate that you're making him feel this way.

You couldn't bear watching as he beat himself up over this. You couldn't after knowing that the possibility he liked you back was real.

"And what if I told you I liked you too?" you whisper, already so afraid as you watch his eyes widen. You couldn't continue to deny your feelings and refuse him because you felt like you weren't fit to be by his side. You wanted to take this moment to finally tell him that all those dates were starting to feel way more than just two friends hanging out. His smiles are the highlight of your day, and his laughter and the sight of his dimples as he grins, are something you wish to see any second you can, especially if you were the one who caused it. That the mere touch of his hand against your own sends your heart soaring out of your chest? That- 

And before you know it, everything has been said. Words slip from your lips faster than you could think, and your distance decreases. Teary eyes stare into teary eyes in the dim light of your living room.

"Can I.. kiss you?" 

All you can manage is a meek nod in his direction before your eyes shut. The feeling of his lips against your own was so soft and everything you could've imagined and more.. you could feel your heart leaping out of your chest, and you worry he can hear it. Your hand on his is starting to tremble, but he only grasps them, rubbing circles to soothe your nerves. 

You meld together so well; finally, having him like this does wonders for your heart. When you finally separate, your hands and legs feel like jelly, and you can only see the soft smile creeping up on his face. A reddish hue can be seen along his cheeks, and you can only imagine the damage it's done to your own.

The movie is long forgotten, and the sound of your heart beating against your eardrums is all you can hear. Even in the quiet of the room, he whispers.

"I like you, y/n—a lot. And I hope that... if you will. Will you allow me to be your boyfriend?" And you don't dare hesitate to answer. 

"Yes! Over and over again, yes!" you say in a giggling fit. You're now straddling his lap and entangling your limbs in his clumsily. You never thought reciprocating feelings with your best friend would feel like this, but you never want it to end.

"Does this mean I can finally do this?" you ask.

He looks at you curiously, tilting his head adorably as you attack his face with pecks and kisses. Hearing his yelps of "help!" followed by giggles. Oh, the things you would do to listen to his laughter on replay.

"Oh my god, get a room." a voice states their presence. 

You jump from your spot on his lap as you both look up at the voice. Your friend had just left her room to refill her glass of water, judging by the empty cup in her hand, to walk in on you, peppering Soobin's face. Sure, she had wanted this to happen for a while, realizing your shared feelings long before you knew. Still, it doesn't make this scene less awkward. A feeling of shame fell upon the two of you, more so Soobin, as he didn't mean to get caught in such an intimate position by your roommate. You look back at him, see his guilty expression, and grab his hand to pull him into a standing position. 

"Maybe we should take this to my room instead," you chuckle. 

You lead him to your bedroom, just a few steps away. He follows behind you, enveloping you in a back-hug, head on your shoulder as you struggle to shuffle your way into the room. 

"I love you." He mumbles near your ear. 

"Moving so fast? We just confessed."

"It's not like I haven't said it before! And plus..." 

You know that it's because its meaning has changed now that you reply back, "I love you too."

If he starts to notice your true emotions, however long it may take, it'll push him to start interacting with you again

You'll have to confront him about it, but he's definitely messing with you as you question him in a flustered tone about your relationship

since it’s almost Hyrule Warriors anniversary…do you have any lttc warriors facts you’d like to share 🤲 also I’m going to draw him as part of my drawing links from different links meets thing I do for each game’s anniversary. It will happen I promise you so uh. idk if you have additional facial descriptors for him that you left in the other posts 🤲 but I’m pretty sure I can draw him accurately enough with the information already provided 👍 anyways, hope you have a good rest of your day!

- Zelda keeps trying to promote him and he keeps refusing and she’s so frustrated by it, but he refuses to accept a promotion for something he doesn’t believe he accomplished

- He genuinely thinks he’s so sneaky with the lifts he has in his boots, he’s genuinely convinced no one knows

- Proxi can acknowledge how much he’s grown, but she still sees him as her wet cat son who just desperately needed someone to look out for him. She’s very proud of him, but she still thinks he’s ridiculous

- It took him a hot minute to become fluent enough in ‘hyrulian common’ (english) to be able to understand fast conversations with slang in them and to be able to speak back and converse with other soldiers at that level because it’s not his first language (this is why he sometimes stares at people with an incredibly blank expression during the war, he doesn’t always understand what they’re saying). Proxi continued to speak on his behalf until he’d perfected a castle town accent as well because he didn’t want anyone knowing he didn’t grow up within Hyrule kingdom

-Regularly abuses the fact that the general public has a certain image of him in their minds, and when he does not meet that image he can literally walk around wherever the hell he wants without being recognized and it’s so good for his mental health. He’s still paranoid and worried, but people just don’t recognize him because they hear all the tales of a strong, confident young man and Warriors is actually fairly quiet and comes off as a bit shy, plus people just aren’t expecting the hero to randomly be walking around on his own. Without the make up, fancy clothes, and boots and all that, he can just walk around markets like a normal person, and without the green tunic, Mask can too. So he’d pretty regularly just take Mask around towns to buy sweet treats and they both got to experience what it might’ve been like for an eighteen year old to shop with his little brother

- During the war, he and Ravio got quite close. They’re a dangerous combination and make each other worse

- He and his Zelda are incredibly close, they’re extremely good friends and they like to get together every so often and just YAP

also for any additional descriptors: LTTC Wars looks pretty much exactly like how I headcanon LU Wars. He was deadass created from You’re A Part Of Me Wars when I one day sat back and went “oh my god at this point I’ve just made my own guy-” the main difference between LTTC Wars and You’re A Part Of Me Wars is that LTTC Wars grew up outside of Hyrule Kingdom surrounded by a different culture and he struggled a lot more with a language barrier when he went to Castle Town (while my version of LU Wars grew up IN Hyrule Kingdom and had to struggle with learning his mom’s side of the family’s culture while being unable to fully interact with it), and a few details of the war. Me in my real house at Hogwarts. I have tried to decide which house I would be in for years and suddenly I had a suspicion that it wasn't what my friends and family agreed on too. Then I took the Pottermore quiz and it turns out, I was right. I would be in Slytherin, I had known it for a while, but I still shock many with the fact that I am so quiet and kinda kind looking but still in Slytherin.

Though, for a while I though that I would be in Gryffindor or Rawenclaw, because I have the smarts and the Nevile like bravery, but noooo I am a snake. And I am trying to play it off like I am not that happy that I am in Slytherin, when in reallity I have such a house pride....

Also, it is a funny thing for me that I suspceted it so late even when I have been trying to be sneaky way too many times and noticed shortcuts no one else did around me that fast, like screenshots are permitted on duolingo, if I do something wrong, I just need to take a pic of it and do it right next time, it is not rocket science...

Also seeing these side to side with one another, I actually believe that I am changing for the better in art :D
