Η σύντομη ιστορία της Control4

Μεταξύ όλων των διακεκριμένων εταιριών συστημάτων αυτοματισμού η Control4 είναι η νεότερη. Δημιουργήθηκε πριν από 20 έτη από τους Eric Smith, Will West, και Mark Morgan, στο Salt Lake City της Γιούτα. Ταυτόχρονα επικεντρώθηκαν στην κατασκευή αμιγώς οικιακών προϊόντων που παρέχουν έτοιμες για χρήση όλες εκείνες τις λειτουργικότητες που απαιτούνται σε όλες σχεδόν τις κατοικίες. Απέφυγαν την εμπλοκή τους στην ανάπτυξη εφαρμογών επαγγελματικών κτιρίων, καταστημάτων, εταιριών, ξενοδοχείων και οργανισμών, και δημιουργήσαν κατανοητές και φιλικές στον χρήστη λύσεις, εξιδεικευμένες μόνο για κατοικίες.

Η νέα εταιρία που δημιουργήθηκε εισήλθε στον κλάδο ουσιαστικά ανενόχλητη, με ένα σύνολο προϊόντων εστιασμένα στις ανάγκες των καταναλωτών, σε μια αγορά μικρομεσαίων και μεσαίων κατοικιών που αποτελεί και την πλειοψηφία της συνολικής αγοραστικής δύναμης στα συστήματα αυτοματισμού της έξυπνης κατοικίας.

Από το ντεμπούτο της στην εμπορική έκθεση οικιακής τεχνολογίας CEDIA 2004 έως σήμερα, η Control4 συνεχίζει ασταμάτητα με δυναμικές ανοδικές πορείες πωλήσεων κάθε χρόνο. Με τα ασύγκριτα πλεονεκτήματά της έχει προσελκύσει στις τάξεις της την πλειονότητα των εγκαταστατών έξυπνων κατοικιών. Τον Αύγουστο του 2019 συγχωνεύτηκε με την μεγαλύτερη εταιρία κατασκευής ηλεκτρονικών των ΗΠΑ, την SnapAV που αργότερα μετονομάστηκε σε Snap One.
