I’m excited about any new content for Persona 5 in general, but I have mixed feelings about this;;

I kinda hope that ribbon-chan didn’t turn out to be a femc - the probability of her turning out to be one is 50/50 from what i’ve seen - because like Yu, i’ve gotten used to Ren as the one and only protagonist for the game, he even got popular enough to be recognized in SSB. he’s too iconic...;; it’ll be better if she becomes a plot expansion character like marie or something.

if she does turn out to be a femc, i hope they don’t pull a Shinji with Akechi because he honestly doesn’t deserve it. Like;; Shinjiro lives a pitiful life throughout P3, and we saw him suffer alone and drowns himself in guilt and inevitably destroying himself in the process because of something he couldn’t control. but Akechi?? he’s a wild card, he has a choice, and yet he chose to mass-murder people to impress Shido, and he knows what he does is wrong - i get where he came from, but it’s still murder. he killed multiple people including haru’s dad - i can’t forgive him for that and honestly his death as his redemption is just fitting. it’s not the same as Shinjiro’s, not even close.

Still, Alinivar lingered a bit longer before the door to the exit – and turned his eyestalks to Future Niiue, still standing in the middle of the bizzare room with locked doors. Then, in a small, unsure voice, he said, “You’re not leaving?”

At first, Niiue didn’t respond, simply stared back with dim, empty eyes – and by how transparent he looked like, Alinivar prays that this is not simply a ghost left by their companion, a final message left for them to fix everything.

“Well,” After a while, Niiue shrugged, as if there isn’t anymore obvious answer to the question. “There’s no other place I could have been in, is there?”

Alinivar turned his body back from the door, to Niiue, and gave him a sad, symphatizing look, before morphing into something into more determined. “We’ll save you.” It was full of resolution, a promise sealed in words. “We’ll be back for you, Niiue, so hang in there, alright? We’ll save you.”

And with that, Alinivar is gone, and he missed the way Future Niiue smiled a smile too fake for his usual cheer, the way chuckled mirthlessly in the irony of everything.

one of the best things about cogdis is despite it being made specifically to explain about what happened to giegue post-earthbound beginnings is that it kept the traditional mother rule to left some things unexplained for fans to theorize themselves
