Linking on to the cat post, it did not start like that…… the cat at first was not a fan of armin, and they had a small rivalry going on.
Annie is sleeping soundly and the cat is on armins side, he can’t move it cause it will start hissing so he takes the sofa of the floor.
Annie pets the cat, he tries to and he gets hissed at.
Trying to do some paper work and he has these eyes gleaming at him.
And if u ask Annie “I don’t know what u mean, Donut is an angle aren’t u sweeetie” (proceeds to pet donut as he acts innocent in front of his mum
Okay yeah, that is DEFINITELY happening xD
It's Armin vs Donut - both of them love Annie to bits and are constantly in this weird state of soft competition. Armin isn't all that bothered by it, nor is he too jeaous (*aherm....*), but Donut takes it VERY seriously. That's HIS Annie, you hear? This shyboi who seems to think it's okay to sleep on HIS and Annie's bed is delusional. He's feedind Annie sugar and bread - what's that good for?! Meanwhile I'm bringing her a mouse every day - a healthy, nutritious, balanced diet. Annie also too pretty for him! Begone, you silly creature walking on two legs, you're weird.
Armin is.... bewildered. Just WHY doesn't Donut like him? He's getting him the best treats and the trendiest cat toys... but Donut hisses if he's within a metre's-distance of Annie! Unbelievable. Sometimes he watches Annie and Donut kiss and kiss and kiss and begins to wonder if he should just. leave?? (RIP him feeling less wanted than a cat; ofc he would).
It all changes one fine day when Armin dolefully stares at a very unimpressed Donut and says: "why don't you like me, hm? You're a good kitty, aren't you?"
That's it.
Good Kitty.
Fuck.
Donut is S H O C K E D as his automatic-purring-system starts to go haywire, even tho the rest of his body his actively FIGHTING IT. Like. WHAT. YOU SILLY CREATURE. I AM - A BIG DANGEROUS ANGRY TOMCAT. I COME FROM DARKNESS AND FEED ON FEAR. You THINK you can just? Call me a GOOD KITTY???
*tail viciously and uncontrollably curling with affection*
RIP Donut.

Some sweet cute headcannons to make up for the angst ❤️
- Pieck and Annie do not know how to do hair, Connie, having learnt how to do hair for his sister and carried on practicing on Sasha teaches them
- Armin and Annie’s house becomes the place where everyone is all of the time. And I mean all of the time. They even have spare rooms for the others to crash in (which happens more often then not )
- Gabi and Falco are Aruani’s kids babysitter
- Connie was the first to know Annie is pregnant and was forced into secrecy, something that he greatly struggled with.
- this:
Armin: Annie did u eat a whole dozen donuts in one go!
Annie: What? No
Armin: you are a horrible lier
- A cat follows Annie home one day and she adopts it and names it Donut. The cat is very ugly (well not actually cause in my opinion cats can never be ugly) and looks something like this
Tumblr media
- Annie then over feeds this cat turning it into a chuncky boy
- Reiner is alergic to this cat and Annie doesn’t care obviously
asfahgaosigha these are all soooo cute!!!!
Connie actually being THE nice brother-figure to both Pieck and Annie makes me go all warm T^T I can see it happening! It's him! It's them! His two best girl-buddies!
Gabi and Falco absolutely do NOT know what to do with Aruani child. Gabi's teaching the baby all kinds of nefarious things. Falco's undoing them at breakneck speed. It's a mess.
Connie WOULD struggle keeping Annie's pregnancy a secret T_T Armin catches him with a handful of baby-care books and asks him what that's all about and COnnie panics and ends blurting: "Um HAHAH No I"m REPGNANT" or something...
Welp.
THAT IS THE CUTEST CAT EVER! Looks just like Annie when she wakes up! Likes to pee on Reiner's stuff. 10/10 good little boy/girl.

Hello congrats on your new chapter.
My mind has been off thinking again about sad attack on titan head cannons and I thought I’ll share and get your opinion on it.
So I don’t know about u but I imagine that shifting is painful. Extremely painful.
This obviously is a source for lots of angst, like the people they made into pure titans, so many people who were forced to endure extreme pain during their last award moments.
But what really makes me sad is the kids, the kids turned into pure titans either to be a warrior or just as a cruel punishment. Possibly being tied down as they naturally scream and squirm in fear and pain.
We know that Annie was one of the younger candidates in her generation of warriors and if this followed would this have happened to her? It seems like such a fear filled event that even her “cold” mask will break revealing a raw and genuine state of fear.
If she was tied down, this added to the trama of the crystal how would it affect her? Also having to be held down as they test her regenerative abilities (which likely would have been retested again and again as the female Titan can gain abilities from other titans)
What about the other warriors how would it affect them? Do they all have a big fear of needles? If they need a vaccine or blood test how will they react?
Armin was unconscious so he likely wouldn’t have this issue or at least not to the same extent. How will he help Annie and the others though?
What about jean and Connie? How will they help if at all?
Anyway, I hope u enjoyed your break and welcome back ❤️ make sure u take care of yourself
Ahhhhh hello! I'm so sorry I sat on this for a while T^T i needed to think about it. Hope you don't mind~
This is somewhat related to an ask you sent in a while ago, yes but let's dive a bit deeper into the ✨body science✨ of it.
(this is all just me speculating based on aot lore)
Since the Hallucigenia attached itself to Ymir's spine when she first came in contact with it, that is where the power of the Titans lives, and we already knew this even before S4. The nape, then, is an extremely sensitive and vulnerable spot for titans and shifters alike, being the area in the body that carries shifting power. The other things we know about the Hallucigenia are that it can change its own size and shape, it can influence the size and structure of other things in its vicinity, and it is capable of acting on its own under threat when there is no host to protect it.
I'm going to go and headcanon, then, that the Marleyan military preferred to inject their warrior candidates with titan serum directly into the spine (as opposed to just the general area on back of the neck as we already know) to maximise the effects of shifter power once the inheritance ritual gets complete.
Spinal injections, that is, without anaesthetic.
This would've required tying down the warrior candidates because they, being extremely young children, would've been prone to immense terror and fear only made even worse by their harsh lives and brutal training regimens. Post-inheritance, once the military began to conduct their experiments on the warriors' regeneration abilities and specialized skills, it would only have been yet another set of nightmares to live through. So no doubt; needles, tourniquets, medical equipment and "tests" terrify the surviving warriors, even long after the Rumbling.
What I want to focus on specifically is the process of shifting in itself. Back to the Hallucigenia's abilities, I feel it could be possible that once the power of the Titans was imbued into a person, it would cause them to suffer physical pain for a week at the very minimum. The neck especially, would hurt like hell. Sometimes it hurts enough that the head cannot be lifted, pushed down into a deep bend for days together.
And we all know how much it sucks to have neck pain, don't we 🙃🥲 ?
The Hallucigenia then, stretching to accommodate to the specific warrior's height and build; sending body temperature soaring as it spreads through the bloodstream; shooting sharp daggers of pain into muscle and flesh in preparation to generate and connect large bodies of giants; tingling and burning beneath the surface of the skin while branching out into a million little fibrous tendrils for every nerve ending and synapse to facilitate seamless movement...
There you have it; the reason why shifting is so painful.
I really like this actually, because we so often see the shifters regenerating lost limbs and healing from serious wounds seemingly without much pain - but it turns out, shifting IS a hugely painful experience, both in the beginning and every time afterwards.
I see every warrior having to suffer through this experience, and it affecting them badly for the rest of their lives to come. At such a young age when children usually look toward older figures for some comfort from any kind of pain, here you have a bunch of kids being forced into enduring mind-numbing levels of pain with very little in the way of reassurance.
Following the hc that the warriors were injected directly into the spine, Armin is spared this particular degree of pain since he was injected elsewhere (we assume Levi injected him in the arm, the other common place to give the serum). But he would still suffer from the other pains of the shifting ability.
I think it's easy to forget that Jean and Connie did actually turn into titans for a brief amount of time; while I don't know if they would've experienced any pain seeing as it was the Hallucigenia's smoke that caused them to turn, but it's interesting to think about the pains they would experience Post-Rumbling, if any.
And ofc: there is the comforting to be received from each of the Ambassadors, to one another T//////T
Thank you so much for sending this in! I loved thinking about this and diving into some made up titan science!!!!

Idk if it is just me but I can totally see Annie randomly dropping lore on her life casually and everyone just lest jaws dropped.
For example they will be talking about when they got into trouble as kids and she will be like “ I remember when I made a mistake in training my dad won’t give me my dinner that night and make me eat it cold for breakfast” and she genuinely doesn’t see what the big deal is straight away.
This also goes for all the ex warriors, they would just randomly reveal something horrific that happened to them but word it like a nice nostalgic story
Hello :3
But yeah, that makes sense, actually! Comparatively speaking, the Warriors had a much harder life than the Paradisians. I think sometimes it's easy to forget that because of how through S1-S3, we become extremely attached to the Paradisians because we're exposed to their life first and that continues for a substantial portion of the show. We sympathize with their fright and struggle to make sense of things they've never known before.
But it's only when we're finally taken to Marley and stay there for some time, watching the lives of the warriors, that it becomes clear: the Paradisians had a better life within the walls.
Yes, they were walled in. Yes, the titans destroyed their hometowns, killed their families, made them orphans. Yes, they knew nothing and were a hundred years behind the rest of the world.
But before the walls broke (and for some, even after that), most of them had loving parents. Parents who were just content with their kids being happy, parents who didn't expect their children to do great things for the family. Within the walls, except for some classism (like the merchants, cult priests, royal family etc), they were all much the same. The same kind of people, treated with more or less the same kind of equality. Not knowing of their Eldian history actually made them happier.
They weren't seen as scum like the children were on Liberio. There, simply being of Eldian blood was enough to receive disgusted stares. The passes to leave the internment zone, the armbands, the mockery - all of it, dehumanizing and very much a part of daily life. Becoming a Warrior to bring honour to your family and secure a spot as a Honorary Marleyan was nothing but selling your body and soul to the Military. There was nothing honorary about it.
And their parents. Except for a few of them (like Mr. Finger, Mr. Bertholdt, etc) the rest are just trash. There was no kindness or love to be received from them. They used their kids for their own selfish desires, and being in the Military wouldn't have helped one bit. The derisive, contempt-filled stares? The mockery? The insults?
Life was HARD for the Warriors. Life for them was blood, sweat and tears, while the kids on Paradis at least got to run up grassy hills and play in busy markets before flying into the mouths of titans.
So, absolutely, there is considerable shock when Annie tells them of her father's terrible training regimens, or Pieck tells them of the military's terrible punishments, or Reiner tells them how they beat him up over and over again as a shifter for failing some test or the other.

Hi moon I sent in an ask the other day but I think I have already asked it in the past, if so just ignore it. I swear I got the memory of a golffish
Hello Monique!!!
But yes and no, that ask you're referring to was slightly different I believe! Don't worry, I got the most recent one and the reason I haven't answered is because asks like this need me to think a bit before replying :3 I really appreciate receiving them tho, please don't misunderstand!
That said, I'll get around to it soon, and I hope you're doing well :3
