I discuss German popular music and I do mention a lot of different players that still remain quite intriguing now, yet I neglected to mention two important genres. Yes, I didn't discuss either Schlager or hip-hop. Both of these scenes deserve their own posts, since they define the modern musical scene in Germany so well. One is also surprised some pioneers of the genre still work there. For instance, Die Fantastischen Vier are still an on-going concern, which might shock you, if you check their early works. Sure, there's an exuberance present here, though the latter is of a sort that cannot be sustained for long. Of course, the group consists of four incredibly intelligent musicians who knew they have to keep surprsing their fans to stay relevant.

this very much reminds me of my OC smudo, who's a demon so powerful he can't be contained in the underworld (even though he's barely aware he is) so the gods themselves have to watch over him

and he's a chaotic little emo kid so he constantly does dumb things like befriending all the members of a rebellion against the universe's strongest galactic empire, almost killing one of the gods multiple times, or having mcr on really loudly. stuff like that.

Sometimes a family is an immortal with 35 arson charges and the 5 gods who are trying desperately to get them therapy
