High School AU: Cheerleader Arasha / Mathelete Trevor - Trevrasha

It’s during the Smosh High School weekly pep rally that Arasha really notes Trevor for the first time. She’s bouncing from foot-to-foot, pom-poms in the air, high ponytail swishing, as she looks out at the crowd during the call and response portion of their cheer.

Amanda is leading the cheer and Courtney and Arasha are flanking her on either side. Amanda asks the crowd to give her an ‘S’ and Arasha sees a pair of long and gangly arms make an ‘S’ shape in the crowd.

She recognizes him from one of her classes, biology maybe? And she knows his name, but not much else about him. He claps along in the bleachers, laughing with some other boys she doesn’t know. He looks like a nerd, tall, awkward, but his smile and laugh catches her eye.

Amanda likes to say that the cheer squad is in a dating league all their own. If high school is a hierarchy, the cheer squad is among the top of the pyramid. Arasha doesn’t fully buy into that because it feels so predictable. Cheerleaders dating the football team, the quarterback, etc.

Besides, Amanda’s already dating their high school quarterback, Marcus.

So, who cares really, if Trevor isn’t on the football team or any team? If it’s true that the cheer squad is top of the high school food chain alongside the football team, then Arasha can pluck anyone she wants from obscurity and bring them to her level, can’t she?

After the rally is done, the girls go back to their seats on the bleachers near the floor. Their teachers are calling the classes back to their designated rooms, the rally being held in the middle of the day, with ‘forced’ participation from the rest of the school.

Arasha is sitting, pom-poms in her lap, when she sees the guy, Trevor, make it to the gym floor. She jumps up from her seat to the confusion of Courtney, Amanda, and the rest of the team. Arasha makes a beeline for the guy, stopping right in front of him.

Trevor, he blinks, and looks nervously down at her.

“Hi?” he asks, a tad breathless and more confused than anything else.

“Hi. I’m Arasha.”

“I know,” Trevor says, “we’re in biology together.”

“Right!” Arasha says brightly.

“Arasha!” Amanda calls from the bleachers.

Arasha turns her head and sees Amanda giving her the biggest look of ‘what the fuck are you doing?’ she’s ever gotten from the other girl. Arasha turns back to Trevor.

“You have a varsity jacket,” she says, touching his sleeve, “are you an athlete?”

A blush crosses his cheeks, “Uh, no. I’m on the mathlete team.”

Arasha smiles, undettered by the undoubtedly nerdy nature of this boy.

“You must be good to get a jacket.”

Trevor shrugs, “I guess so? My teammates are really smart, luckily!”

People mill around the two of them, the gym slowly clearing out. Arasha smiles at Trevor.

“Are you planning on coming to the game tomorrow?” she asks him.

“I-I could.”

Her hand slides up to his shoulder, “I’d like if you did.”

“Oh,” Trevor says, his cheeks going pinker, “I can then, yeah, for sure.”

Arasha lets him go, stepping back and smiling brightly, “Great! I’ll see you there then. Sit by the front, okay?”

Trevor nods dumbly.

“See you in biology,” Trevor mumbles, blushing.

“See you,” Arasha echoes, watching Trevor slip away into the crowd.

Almost immediately Amanda and Courtney are there, surrounding Arasha.

“What was that?” Amanda asks.

Arasha shrugs, “He’s cute.”

“He’s…” Amanda starts, “please tell me he’s on a team or something.”

“Mathletes,” Courtney fills in.

“Mathletes,” Amanda stresses, “Arasha.”

“Come on!” Arasha says, grabbing their hands and leading them towards the exit of the gym, “we’re going to be late for our next class.”

“Okay, but we’re talking more about this!” Amanda says, even as Arasha tugs her along.

Being in front of such a small crew was refreshing besides the hundreds of workers you were starting to get used to for your up-and-coming movie entrance. Still to this day, you didn't know how you landed such a part with all of your acting history coming from youtube but nevertheless as Courtney called you all to take your positions; a newfound anxiety found its way into your mind. This episode was solemnly focused on you and how well your fellow cast members and friends knew you.

Soon the heat of a thousand LEDs made you start to sweat as you smiled at the camera and introduced this weeks episode, "Hey guys, welcome to what would (name) do. And here today I am with my friends Trevor, Amanda, and of course, Spencer. Yes, we have been reading your comments everyone-"

The crew in the background began to laugh as Spencer shook his head with a small smile, foot taping yours from underneath the table as you waited for everyone to finish. "-and Spencer and I will be going back to our regularly scheduled content together. But thats besides the point! I am going to be reading these question cards that I totally wrote and your goal is to guess my answer. So if I said, 'Who do you think if the last person I messaged?" You all would answer..."

Putting the cards down quickly and going for your phone, you rolled your eyes at yourself for seeing who, as always was at the top of your history. Head now in your hands- knowing how quickly the fans would clip this next moment. Courtney began to count down behind the camera, voice trying to hide her giggles as everyone knew the answer right away.

Picking yourself up and trying not to make eye contact with anyone at the table, Courtney didn't even get a chance to hit one as both Trevor and Amanda have already flipped over their boards, arrowheads pointing towards Spencer with large grins strapped across their faces.

"And why do you think its you Spencer" you ask, not even having to look to look as you stare into the camera with a straight face. "Because we are each others conscious?" Spencer answers matter-of-factly, the smile he sends you breaks your character as you announce one point each before moving on to the next question.

"Okay, If I could learn any skill and be super good at it, what would it be?" You take a second after reading the card, unsure of your own answer as you look around the room for any ideas. Peering down the table, everyone seems to be writing a lot as you tap your marker lid against the table. Courtney begins to count down once more as Trevor rapidly erases his answer and writes down a new one as you raise your brow curiously before marking down your own.

"Let's see these answers, because I am unsure myself."

Trevor goes first out of the line, "I had a few ideas but I think I remember talking to you about being a better driver... that or being a quicker reader."

"I completely forgot about that- I would agree, being able to read and remember scripts super quickly would be awesome. Let's see what everyone else wrote down though, Spencer?"

"Well I said that you want to learn everything about music. I know that you always have wanted for some groups to make one more album or for others to pick up their sound. But what if you could make your own music just how you want it to sound?"

"Fuuucckkk, thats so good!" you moan out, trying to imagine everything you could make before your eyes flash back open in horror. You clasp your hands over your mouth before throwing your head back laughing as Spencer shoves your shoulder, "Not in front of the cameras!" He points dramatically at every single one as you grip his shoulder trying to calm yourself as he two joins your laughter.

Amanda had erased her answer by the time you two caught your breaths as Courtney asked off-camera why. "This game is what you kids would say, rigged. Like what am I going to say thats topping thing one and thing two here? But I was going to say skateboarding," Amanda responds in a lighthearted tone.

"Skateboarding?" Trevor asks, eyebrow raised as you nod your head, curious to learn the answer. "I don't know! I just thought it would be something cool that you would like to be really skilled at."

"I mean... it would be pretty cool. I could be all Tony Hawk Skate Park all around the office," you voice, picturing a future video idea before giving points out to Spencer.

The video continues as expected, your fellow cast mates mocking annoyance and play-fighting amongst one another as Spencer nails question after question, often answering better than the answers you come up with for yourself about yourself.

At some point, Amanda and Trevor had tackled Spencer to the ground, begging him for answers as he held his hands, glasses askew as you sat and watched from your chair, tears stringing down your face as you hunched over, your stomach hurting from laughing so much as Courtney yelled for break, you all taking your fourty minutes to grab drinks and snacks at the cart.

"You do know how crazy the comments are going to be underneath the video, "OMG I ALWAYS KNEW SPENCER AND (NAME) WERE MARRIED'" Amanda mocks in an obnoxious girly tone as you shake your head, knowing her words to be all true true as Spencer leans down and steals a bite from for sandwich. You glare playfully at him as he turns around chewing, going to find Alex to ask how the other shoots are going back at Smosh Games.

"Well, its better than the hate. I thought I was actually going to get fired or killed if we didn't release that video soon enough," you respond a bit tensely as Trevor flicked your forehead. "Hey, none of that, (name). We all would've made sure it never came down to that."

Amanda nods in agreement as Spencer rejoins you both. He places his chin on your shoulder, asking you quietly, "How're you doing?"

"Better," you respond with a small smile, taking in his equally tired expression as you ask him the same question. He hums out positively before leading you both back in front of the camera.

As soon the red dot starts to flicker in your face once more and before you can finish the question, Amanda had already stood up, chair screeching against the floors as the table shook from her enthusiasm as she screamed out her answer. "Describe what you think I would wear tomorrow-"

"SOMETHING OF SPENCERS AND JEANS, where are my points?! Take THAT SPENCER!" Amanda dances for the camera, fingers flipping the man off as you hide behind the board, giving her the point as no one else bothers to answer.

"And for our second to last question today..." you all were starting to grow loopy. After a full day of shoot after shoot, you all started screaming out random things at one another, sometimes without context and the outline of a gameshow had gradually turned into a shouting fest. "...Fuck, Marry, Kill-"

"SPENCER, SPENCER, SPENCER," Alex shouted from off-camera, chest raised proud of his throw-back answer to an earlier episode as Amanda wheezed out, Trevor throwing his board for the bit, "that was going to be my answer too!"

Spencer's ears had flared bright red as he started off into the distance. You hide your face in your hands once more, shoulders rising and falling with silent laughs before managing to read the rest of the actual question left.

By the end of the shoot, Spencer had one as he raised your hands together cheering before taking a bow to the crew and then the camera. "Well, to no one's surprise, Spencer won todays episode but I have to say, you all surprised me with your answers. It feels so good to know I have all of you as my friends. And to all of those watching at home, be sure to check back in the next few days to find the new content we have cooking up. Bye!" You all wave towards the camera's before the screen shuts of to black.

smosh vs zombies and smosh vs aliens au in which both gangs manage to survive through convoluted means and swap fates.

the zombie gang, after getting into the city, are a bit more self-centered for their survival and gracie has more faith in her father getting out somewhere safe. they manage to get a private plane (who it belongs to out of the rich assholes doesn't really matter) and flies it to one of the "middle states" betting nothing happens in the midwest. (edit: my dumb ass didn't realize Ohio's a northern state until the end of this post. i guess they would assume the same thing tho) un-fucking-fortunately, they land in an imposter alien town and must clear it out too.

the alien gang, meanwhile, got away from the alien shit early and get to all go on a trip together for school while tampa was heading there for a expensive but incredible doctor. all families meet up that way. a la yellowjackets and a remix of what probably happened to the people in warm bodies, however, they fucking crash into zombie land and must fight their way out and find a way out of seattle back to ohio.

side note while i'm writing this, i'm starting to feel like king primavera likes tormenting the top half of the map... but hey, if there's another smosh vs blank that he sets up in texas or florida then i guess i'll be proven wrong. (hoping i won't be proven wrong just for the sole opportunity of getting my home state as a setting)

OFFICIAL EVEN IF YOU WERE DEAD (vampire au) LORE POST

this will contain brief overviews of each character as of now!

credit to @franklyfeline for helping me decide some of the lore (mainly w ianthony :3)

characters:

vampires : 

chronological order of turning:

tommy bowe  :  turned around 1150 or so, oldest vampire out of the main cast. lives in the house, pretty fucking strange to be honest. has lost his accent over years of being in the americas. familiar is spencer. 

angela giarratana  :  turned at some point during Italian Renaissance (it was a crazy time for vampires). a rather chaotic vampire, she traveled throughout most of euraisafrica, before eventually moving to the americas in the 1920s. she lives in the house. familiar (slash babysitter slash best friend) is amanda. she actually turned chanse, another vampire, because she got tired of not being able to hang out with him. 

court(ney) miller  :  turned during the salem witch trials. they attempted to burn her for being a ‘witch’, but it didn’t quite work out for them. courtney went in hiding for many years until the 1800s, when the industrial revolution brought many vampires to the americas. she lives in the house. doesn’t have an official familiar, but is very close friends with both damien and shayne, so they kind of share. also is friends with spencer and tommy. 

anthony padilla  :  turned around 2014-2016. previously was an aspiring actor with his (ex) best friend ian. he doesn’t really associate with any of the other vampires, besides being on the local vampiric council. dramatic ass depressed vampire is all i have to say to be honest. 

damien haas  :  turned around 2019-2020. he was extremely scared and worried for his relationship with his best friend, and current familiar, shayne. it ended up being okay, and he eventually met court and joined the house. he’s probably one of the more normal ones. 

chanse mccrary  :  turned by angela in 2022. they met at a bar and hit it off, though he was kind of skeptical why she never could meet up before dusk. she eventually told him that she was a vampire, and he was strangely okay about it? eventually it ended in her turning him so that he could 1) live forever and 2) not pay rent. a win win for everyone. doesnt have an official familiar, but normally shayne or amanda helps him out if he needs it. 

familiars  :

spencer agnew  :  tommy’s familiar. he honestly thought that tommy’s whole vampire thing was a bit, hence the reason he said yes. he kind of freaked out when he realized he’d accepted an ACTUAL vampire’s request, but actually ended up going through it, even when offered to leave without punishment or harm. he guesses he just kind of likes tommy (and he has this weird homoerotic thing going on with him. but thats unimportant.) he lives in the house. pretty good friends with shayne and amanda. #familiarthings or whateva

shayne topp  :  damien’s familiar AND best friend. the familiar thing is more of a marriage of convenience; shayne really functioned as one anyways. that in no way means that shayne is just a helper to damien – really the title is just so people stop trying to kill shayne when he goes out with damien. he moved into the house with damien, and ended up actually being friends with pretty much everybody. tommy doesn’t seem to like him though. that might be because he has a strange knack for accidentally walking in on him and spencer trying to have sex on the living room couch. 

amanda lehan-canto  :  angela’s familiar and babysitter. they met on pure accident – she accidentally went into a vampire-only bar and, while narrowly avoiding getting eaten, ran into angela, who had just gotten kicked out of said bar. instead of trying to suck her blood, angela started traumadumping. amanda took her home, and ended up talking with spencer (who had already been tommy’s familiar at that point). they hit it off and she was invited over (during the day) to hang out if she wanted. eventually she was even befriended by the vampires, tommy and angela liking her especially. it was kind of natural that she became a familiar. she eventually moved into the house.

werewolves  : 

rhett mclaughlin  :  functional pack leader, along with link. was turned sometime in the 2000s. overall silly guy. yeah idk what to put here

link neal  :  functional pack leader, along with rhett. turned around 2010, became friends with rhett near that time. 

ian hecox  :  turned around 2017. was taken in by rhett and link. used to be an aspiring actor with his ex-best friend anthony. only really realized anthony was turned into a vampire after he became a werewolf, so he sees no possible way of reconciling. 

arasha lalani  :  joined the pack right after trevor. befriended ian very early on. likes to bully him for his “breakup” with anthony, but is genuinely protective of ian along with the rest of the group.

kimmy jimenez  :  one of the older pack members. a silly goose tbh. she probably parties the most, and is at fault for most of the pack’s turnings.

trevor evarts  :  basically adopted by rhett and link. youngest out of the group, he gets along the most with arasha. 

garrett palm  :  one of the oldest pack members, he was a werewolf for long before he joined the pack. pretty chaotic, but not in the way you’d expect. he cooks the most, but is known to play pranks on fellow pack members. 

keith leak jr  :  nobody knows how he got there, he just kind of showed up. pretty chill, normally lives in the pack house. he’s the closest any of them get to stereotypical werewolves.

settings:

the house  : 

the house is the house that tommy, spencer, angela, amanda, courtney, damien, shayne, and chanse live in. it’s a two-story house in los angeles that they hypnotised their way into getting for free. it's dark and wooden, but it does have a pool outside, so thats a plus. it has 5 bedrooms, along with 2 other ‘living spaces’ that they’ve converted into bedrooms (shayne and damien stay in the same room. “just to take up less space”.)

pack center  : 

the pack center is a small few-room abandoned house that the pack found and fixed up (illegally, but that doesn’t matter). they live mostly separately, but it functions as a meeting area or housing situation.
