Nightly Visits

For day two of @felpacweek , Fuga Impossível!! Ao3 here

Felps visits when it's dark, when it's easier to slip in unnoticed and unbothered. He always manages to sneak past the security patrol, though he's certain they've spotted him before. They just choose not to say anything, or rather, they're too lazy to say anything. In Alcatraz, that's probably for the best, and he's thankful for it.

He slips inside the infirmary, careful not to cause a disturbance. It's quiet here, as always, but not peaceful. The silence is deafening, and it's the kind of silence that can drive a man insane, so he tries to ignore the quiet as much as he can.

Eventually, the guard reaches the room he's looking for. The name tag outside reads 'Ward A21,' which is new, but the face that peers out from behind the glass door is the same as ever.

Felps opens the door silently, mindful of the creaking. The figure lays on the bed, unmoving. He has a wrist cuffed to the bed, but Felps knows he's not going anywhere anytime soon. He has no intention to go anywhere. No motivation to go anywhere.

Pac is sleeping, eyes closed and his breathing even. He's wearing the white clothes of the infirmary, hair a few inches longer, skin sickly pale and bruises staining his skin. He looks almost peaceful. Minus the bruises, he looks exactly the same as all the other nights, when Felps did patrol and stayed just a few seconds longer at Pac’s cell, just watching him sleep. Sometimes, Pac would wake up and they would relax in each other's presence until Felps needed to continue patrol.

But Felps knows it's not the same– far from it, really.

Because Pac is passed out on the bed, high off pain meds and one leg less.

Pac has lost his right leg, an insane cannibal too eager to punish someone, to have that rush of teeth sinking into flesh and blood pouring out. Pac lost a lot of blood and had to be rushed to the infirmary, or else he wouldn't have survived.

Felps feels guilt. He was there, he watched as Cell held him down, making Pac choose what leg to cut off. Pac had begged, screamed and cried. It was horrible. And Felps had done nothing.

The guilt was overwhelming, and he felt sick, but there was nothing he could do about it. Nothing except this, nightly visits when Pac was passed out. Felps could easily visit him when Pac was awake, but he didn’t feel like he deserved it. He was too much of a coward.

He takes a seat next to Pac, careful not to touch him, even though he wants to hold his hand or run his hand across his locks of hair.

Felps watches him, the steady rise and fall of his chest, his long lashes, his dry lips, and it all feels like too much, too overwhelming.

So, before the feelings swallow him whole, Felps gets up, leaves the room, and locks the door.

“You could,” Pac says. His face softens. “If you really tried, you could tell anybody what to do.” Something crumples sweetly in Felps's chest. “Okay. Then come lie down with me, if that's so.” Immediately, Pac flops down next to Felps, then rolls over to face him again. “See? Proof.” He's so close that Felps is tempted to close the gap between them, kiss him like a newlywed caught up in affection.

Please it drives me absolutely crazy. If you don’t know a ship name then look for it, if you can’t find it ask, and if you can’t get an answer try to guess and also disclaim In your post that you aren’t sure what the ship name is and would appreciate an answer if there is a preexisting one. Who knows! Maybe you are the first person to coin a ship name. Do NOT tag the duo name unless it’s one of the like 3 ships that are genuine lost causes (I promise you most aren’t)

Encouraging people to stop and think about tagging their ships with duo names on tumblr. Names like Smoothduo, Insaneduo, (or hell, even Guapoduo when it was created) are created to refer to platonic pairs. We have existing ship names for shippers to use such as Felpac or 4bit (or Spiderbit, but it's a bit of a lost cause with them nowadays) for shippers.

When you take over the duo names with your ship you prevent people from being able to avoid ship content without totally getting rid of any platonic content of a pair. And on top of that you prevent people who are looking for said ship content from finding it. I don't care that twitter is a walking disaster of a fandom space, as tumblr users we are fully capable of creating and using unique ship names to provide easier navigation for everyone on the site. Literally just use the ship names.

Exceptions to this rule are guapoduo, 4halo and tntduo since both platonically and romantic separation is inexistent at this point in the fandom

Also. We strictly separate characters and streamers, but most of us don't use the Q! to specify. If we talking about the streamers, we make sure to let it be clear when it happens. Also, sometimes we talk about gay sex, get used to it. We also love to assign mental illness to the characters since we see them completely separated from the streamers

To be honest, where does one go after this? Felps is not sure.

It's Festa Junina, which means partying and festivals and a time for enjoying the food. Everyone is busy all around the football field, each in their own groups playing in the stalls or just talking. Felps, in a slight moment of confidence and maybe a bit of curiosity, had dragged Pac towards the kissing booth. He wasn't expecting much, probably Pac just giggling before kissing his cheek.

Pac, with his rosy cheeks and bright, dark eyes and hair as soft as silk. Pac, with his kind personality and strong self and love pouring out of everywhere. Pac, who stared into Felps's own eyes, holding his face so gentle he could've been holding glass, while he slowly moved their heads closer.

And they kissed, much to his surprise.

He still remembers the soft, wet lips. He still remembers the soft, smooth hands gently cradling his head. He still remembers the soft, muscled arms he held. He still remembers the warmth of the man who kissed him. And, in all honesty, it's something that would never leave him. It's a moment he'll cherish.

Pac, as soon as they pulled away, smiled and giggled and it made Felps' heart leap. The man is beautiful. It made Felps realize just how attracted to Pac he was, how much he loved the man. He always knew it, but this kiss had just confirmed it.

And then Pac had run off, giggling to himself, a slight skip in his step. And Felps was left there, watching the man disappear into the distance, and then he's alone, a bit dazed. He stares, wondering what even happens now. What did this mean for him? For them?

Well, he supposes he'll find out eventually.

Probably.
