As he glanced around, Wash caught sight of another person standing nearby. Taking a second look, they appeared to be female, which while not exactly unusual was...a little confusing. He paused for a few moments, glancing over with mild curiosity before finally stepping over, raising an eyebrow behind his visor. "Uh. Hi." He greeted, head tilting just slightly to the side as he spoke, confused as to why she was here and why he'd never seen her before. "...Can I help you?"

It hardly even looked like the Citadel anymore. How many weeks had it been now since the attack? Apparently not enough to clear up all the rubble or repair sparking electrical wires. There were still scorch marks, bullet holes, and even shattered glass in some places. But somehow life continued on like before. They couldn't really afford to let this stop them. That would have given Cerberus exactly what they wanted. Still, it was hard for her to go right back to the way things were. She'd never been involved in something so serious. She'd never even been near a gun in use, let alone one that was being used against her. Thankfully she'd managed to avoid most of the action and came out of the coup completely unharmed. But even so, everything seemed so different now. Now she was well aware of how dire their situation was, how suddenly things could turn sour and how suddenly a life could end. She wondered how all these people could go back to their lives like this was normal. Or maybe they were also trying to hide how much it had effected them. But then she spotted a face, different as everything else was now, but equally as familiar. The short hair couldn't fool her, the rest of her face was too distinguishable, too recognizable to her near perfect memory. She felt relief at the unexpected familiarity of a friend she hadn't seen in so long. The empty booth where the pet shop had once been  left a sadness in her heart, especially since it had happened to suddenly that she hadn't the chance to bid the storekeeper farewell. It was good to know she was still on the Citadel, and that she'd survived. Smiling, she quietly made her way over, hoping she wasn't interrupting anything, "Ms. Raine. It's been a while."

[I would like to do that, but my interest in sticking with the ME world is fading...I don't even know what to do with Karric that could be considered interesting anymore. I am kinda itching to get to work on other projects...webcomics, programming, maybe running a continuous art blog like you. I just don't have the energy to get myself started on any of that yet...]

((I have such a hard time with abstract stuff. :c I think it's the reason I can't seem to develop a decent style. I focus too much on making things look semi-realistic...When I'm actually putting effort into it, that is. Most of my scribbles are the result of being too frustrated with something to bother trying any more. orz))
