So if I understand it correctly the "corner stone" of Starz/LG and "colleagues" PR is to exploit Cait&Sam relationship(s) and bash/ridicule S&C shippers? Is there something we can do to counteract this disgusting strategy? Give no SMlove to OL aka freeze or give attention only to things we like (not get agitated and skip noise) or...?

Well Wants Action Anon as I am not in their boardrooms, and believe me they should be hella glad I’m not, I can’t actually say what their strategy is overall. I am not even sure  whether or not they have a working PR department and it has been the subject of some rather hot debates and intense head scratching over my way. Yes, they exploited the hell out of the “are/they aren’t they” and the “check out this chemistry” playbooks as well as the Single Hetero Hottie Saint Sam agenda, and continue to do so. The bashing of Shippers is likely directed from on high, and they made sure to get the King of Trolls involved with that. So, apparently that is part of their overarching plan. 

Yes, it is disgusting, I concur. However, in the long run, it likely won’t matter a bit. Numbers don’t lie and even a completely disgruntled shipping base will not effect them overmuch. I am talking LONG TERM here. In the short term, yes, it probably has had an effect. The VERY active on SM Shippers, myself included, have been very vocal about their antics, AND have way downgraded our free promotional involvement. Many have canceled their subscriptions to Starz as a result of this complete ineptitude on all fronts, and it ls likely that the cast is starting to feel a bit of a pinch when it comes to contests and fund raising. 

You do you hun, if you think unfollowing, unposting, unresponding and/or shutting out the noise is the way to go, do that. Truly disgruntled fans would be better served by writing letters, actual letters, with emotions kept in tight reign, to the heads of Programming, Promotion and Branding.
