My Unsolicited February 2023 Top Songs

Not necessarily released on Feb. 2023, just the songs I feel strongly to.

VOLCANO - HAN JISUNG

Genius lyricist Han Jisung came back with an amazing music once again. He knows me. He understands me. I relate to his songs. And I love him and his music. When Han said, “I’m the drought, you’re the rain. I’m paper, you’re a poem. Your attention changes the brightness of my empty heart,” I FELT THAT!

CONNECTED - BANG CHAN

Bang Chan had finally brainwashed me into liking this song by singing it continuously in concert ments. I mean, the song was good and all but I’m not particular fan of the auto tune. Hence, I rarely listen to this.

But he kept on singing this during concerts and now, I’m a changed person. I’m seeing them next week and he’s most probably gonna sing this again.

NOVEL - STRAY KIDS

This is such a Kim Seungmin song. Tbh, I have high expectations since I’m such a Stars and Raindrops stan and  I thought it would be hard to top but Seungmin came with this, and it’s pretty close.

This, Stars and Raindrops, and Can’t Stop are the most Seungmin-sounding songs ever. 

Also, Lee Know and I.N have so many parts, I almost cried. Plus, the Changbin - Felix - Han bridge. Seungmin did that!

TEDDY BEAR - STAYC

When to  Stayc girlies start the song with “stayc girls it’s going down,” you know it’s really about to go down. Girlies have zero bad song in their discography.

LAW - YOON MIRAE, BIBI

Started watching Street Man Fighter just because I was so bored and have nothing to do. And God, this song had been in my head since then. 

My attachment to this song prolly comes from the fact that there’s something about Yoon Mirae and Bibi’s voices and also, I genuinely believe Wootae should have won best director (and not saebbing)

ZZZ - XDINARY HEROES

I just sometime find myself singing “banana neon gireo gireo gireo gireogineun dwijibeodeu geunyang gireogi.” THAT’S IT!

GIMME GIMME GIMME - ABBA

That one synth riff that makes the song addictive and levitating needs to be study. I feel like a main character listening to this.

HUNG UP - MANDONNA

Again, with that one synth riff. You all probably know what I’m talking about.

RUDE BOY - RIHANNA

Super Bowl hangover. 

WE GOOD - JO1

The song just simply makes me so happy. I have no words just how much I love this.

ALIEN SUPERSTAR - BEYONCÉ

An artwork for real. Also, the different genres incorporated in the song… miss ma’am is really too classy for this world.
