Hearing Malina call him by his title will NEVER get old, regardless of how many times he hears it. Watching her bow, with that little smirk on her face makes him feel warm all over, and he wonders for the hundredth time how he ever got so lucky; to be standing here, getting sassed by the single greatest, most perfect girl in the entire Empire-- it's a dream come true for him.

Had you asked him a few years ago, Kuzco would have laughed at the thought of somebody telling him he eventually finds someone so perfectly suited to him, who matches him quip for quip, is able to keep him in line, isn't afraid to speak her mind and gives as good as she gets. Now however, It's difficult to imagine a time in his life when Malina wasn't here, challenging him to do better and making fun of him when he Royally screws up. Heh. Get it? 'Cause I'm a royal! " Malina, please! No need for the formalities. " He teases, holding up a hand for her. Not that the bow was serious in the first place.

" Your lips say no, but your body in my quarters, in MY palace says. . . yes! SO we'll just have to see if we can change that. Can't have my future Empress going against the status quo! "

Time appears to come to a standstill as she closes the distance between them, chestnut eyes carefully darting over her face in an attempt to memorize every little detail that he can find. Her laugh lines, her stress wrinkles (of which she has many! see; STRESS MONSTER.)-- it's all perfect to him, and he wants to remember forever just how happy the two of them are in this moment. ' Can't believe I ever thought I needed a potion to make her perfect because of a pimple. Yeesh. '

Lost in his thoughts, and the unabashed memory of turning her into a toucan, Kuzco hums a soft " hm ? " at her question before finally realizing what she actually said. " Oh! Of course I am! Pfft, when am I ever NOT ready to face them ? Let's go give these peas-- er, my lovely public, a show ! " With that, he holds out an arm to lead her out into the fray of what's sure to be a chaotic first experience 'behind the scenes' for one of these big ceremonies.

The next few hours pass in a whirlwind of activity, with Kuzco being pulled in all directions as he prepares for his speech. Try as he might, the two of them are separated when Kuzco is whisked away to meet with the village leaders-- and Pacha, who knows about his surprise, and reassures him several times not to freak out. (which we all know he NEVER does ! )

Praising the rising sun from atop the Sun God's Temple for returning to grant them a bountiful season after the long winter months doesn't take as long as one might think, and before he knows it the ceremony is coming to a close. His voice rings out with the final command of the ceremony, as Pacha hands him the chalice full of chicha he is to spill inside the temple, and then disappears into the crowd to find Malina and his family.

" PHEW, you know; no one tells you how much HARD WORK is involved in summoning the Sun God to come back every year, am I right ? " With the final joke to close out the ceremony, the surrounding peasants cheer and begin to greet one another , shaking hands and sharing kisses and wishes for a rewarding planting season. " Now that I'm done with all of that, and before we all head off to party like it's 1442-- I have one last, very important matter to bring to the Kingdoms attention. "

A hand is cupped over his eyes, shielding them from the sun as he searches the crowd. Pacha, Chicha and the kids are standing right beside Malina and her family, and he grins when he finally lays eyes on her. " Oh Malinaaaaa, the Emperor has a very, very important question to ask you! "

Malina smirks at his response. It's so easy to make him agree with her when she teases him, but while it's so fun, she thinks she should stop and give him a break. "Fine, just because you ask for it. Consider it as an... innocent threat if you dare to be in your worst behavior." Hmph, well in that case; she loves to pushy other buttons of his too.~ Well, if she's being honest, Malina can see herself gladly helping Kuzco doing all of the preparations for this festivity for years to come. Of course, she knows he'd let her if she asked so she'll be doing him a big favor. And of course she'll definitely write the biggest article of the whole event for hopefully other kingdoms and villages to see! Malina knows she's giving Kuzco too much attention and she ought to stop staring at him but it was impossible, him taking his emperor duties seriously is so hypnotic, she can watch him all day. Aw, she'd have been amused if he ever commented on her remark. What a shame, but good for him. His secret is still safe. She bows slightly. "It is my pleasure, your highness and I'm not praising the sun AND YOU! I told you I'd never do that, sweetie." Maybe she's just too focused on the festival and other things, but she doesn't notice how nervous Kuzco is. Little did she know he had something big planned. She had learned already that he sometimes is so good at hiding his true feelings and today is no exception. Especially when he's flirting shamelessly with her yet again. She blushes scarlet at his compliment for her while she walks a bit closer to him once she feels his fingers touching her. Malina smiles softly back and almost purrs at how sweet he is. She raises a hand to caress his cheek. "Took you long enough to say that! But... well- you're the perfect compliment for this beautiful peasant girl too." She replies and lowers her hand, looking elsewhere for a few seconds and fights the urge to kiss him on the cheek or the lips. Damn right she would have! Imagine how humilliated she'd feel if she looked hideous. She looks at him again and tilts her head, her smile never disappearing. "So, are you ready to face your adoring fans, dear?"

preferred roleplay type: Depends on my mood. I usually try to do multi-paragraph and will sometimes write a novella-length reply or starter. Sometimes things don't go that way and my brain only manages a paragraph, or my rp partner only gives me a few sentences to go off of, so I match their length.

pet peeves & dealbreakers: Um...just please read my rules. My major dealbreakers have to do with breaking them.

best time to write: Depends on the day. I am currently in grad school and scheduling changes depending on my class schedule and energy levels. Sometimes I will write during the day because I have multi-hour breaks between classes, other times Friday through Sunday might be better.

This is a Malina (from The Emperor's New School) mutuals only RP blog that is to exist to help Kuzco let his fans know more about his movie and TV show. Portrayed and adored by Yaz.

Mun is 25+ who has been a fanfic writer since 2012, and wrote for Malina in 2019, returning to the RP world in February 2024.

RULES:

PORTRAYAL: My portrayal of Malina is heavily influenced by the several headcanons I have for her; however, I always try to stick to her canon personality and behavior so your experience with her is as accurate as possible.

SHIPPING: I'm always open to ship with all the fandoms and franchises, including anime and videogames. Although, even if I do love them, I've always believed chemistry should exist between characters (which can be achieved in threads). If it isn't there, it'll be harder for me to support the ship. Don't force your muse onto Malina if she rejects them. Her no is very strong and won't give in so easily if she's not interested.

FOLLOW: I only follow and write with RP blogs/multimuse blogs. If you see me following, it means I see our muses interacting and that I want to write with you. Personal blogs and non-mutuals are allowed to send asks only, but they're welcome to follow Malina. Although, if you wish to break mutuality, fine. You'll have your reasons, you won't be forced to explain, but that'll make me think you don't wish to write with me anymore, so I'll wait for a week or two to unfollow you as well and drop our threads if we have any.

REPLIES: I ask of you to be patient with my super slow replies. I'm an English language teacher IRL working with kids, so my energy is super drained most of the time. I'll be replying to you when I have free time and motivation. I'd never rush replies from anyone, I understand we all are adults with stressful jobs so is okay to not reply to me right away.

Also, I tend to forget about threads, If I ever take too long to reply, don't hesitate to shoot me a message. As a side note; my exclusives and affiliates have priority and get replies first before anyone else, so if you want to be my affiliate, send me a DM.

When I was younger and watched "The Emperor's New School", this was my favorite shot of the entire opening song. They are both being so playful and flirty with each other. Kuzco teasingly trying to sneak at Malina's work while she covers said work, just as equally teasing. It's just so cute.

Since I seem to now have a new obsession with The Emperor's New Groove/The Emperor's New School, thanks to @boombambaby and @smartylina, I now feel the need to come up with a more verse-appropriate name for Belle.

This is something I used to do all the time for specific verses where the name Belle didn't fit, and it feels about right for this. Though...I dunno. Maybe I'll leave her as just being Belle and make the more verse-appropriate name a nickname?

Either way, I need a bit of help narrowing the possible names down.

Here's what I've found so far from this list that appear to work:

Killa - Representing the Moon, Killa embodies mystery and nighttime beauty

Yma Sumac - Signifying "how beautiful", Yma Sumac captures the appreciation of beauty

Ananau - Reflecting "beautiful", Ananau appreciates aesthetic culture

Tika Tika - Reflecting "flower flower," Tika Tika symbolizes abundant beauty

Of course all of the names are supposed to be analogs for the name Belle/Beauty. If anybody has any other suggestions they think could work for this verse, I'd love to hear them!
