I think I'm actually gonna put Ford haters in my DNI list like okay I don't mind if anyone dislikes him but SO MANY of his haters I've seen are such big victim blamers it genuinely makes me uncomfortable

#ford pines #gravity falls #dex talks #I personally don't understand how people can hate Ford without hating BILL #because Bill is like 80% responsible for the reasons I've seen people claim they hate Ford #like for an explame his 'ego'? Result of Bill using his insecurities and low self esteem and praising/manipulating him into believing he was #smarter/better than everyone else and that everyone (including his own friend) was untrustworthy. He was manipulating and isolating him #and like the other 20% is also the result of having an abusive father and being the “gifted/golden” child of the family #and also the bullying from others that he got for being a “freak” for his 6 fingers #this gotta sound like a vent but I relate to that so I totally get how he probably felt. I was also bullied for being a “freak”#for something that was considered “abnormal”#(for context I feel like I might had/maybe still have pica? I would basically eat things that weren't food because I just felt an urge to-#like I would eat paper. pencils. erasers. hair and other things. I was considered a freak for that and bullied for it.)#so like I feel like I understand what Ford was feeling and why he was so obsessed with proving himself to be something more than a freak #Stanford Pines nothing could make me hate u #anyway sorry for the vent lol
