Smart Watch Chargers: Powering Up Your Wearable Technology
In the world of smart devices, smartwatches are at the forefront of innovation, offering features that go far beyond telling time. These wearables keep us connected, track our fitness goals, and even monitor our health. But all this functionality requires reliable power. That’s where smart watch chargers come into play, ensuring your device is always ready to go.
Why a Quality Smart Watch Charger Matters
A smartwatch is only as effective as its power supply. A high-quality charger ensures:
Quick Charging: Many modern smartwatches come with fast-charging capabilities, allowing you to power up in minimal time.
Durable Connection: A good charger maintains a stable and consistent connection, preventing interruptions that could harm your device or lead to incomplete charges.
Device Longevity: Overheating or power surges caused by low-quality chargers can damage your smartwatch battery over time. Opting for a premium charger helps protect your investment.
Types of Smart Watch Chargers
When selecting a charger for your smartwatch, you’ll encounter various types, each designed to suit specific needs:
Magnetic Chargers Most smartwatches today use magnetic charging docks. These chargers use magnets to align the device correctly for charging, making the process seamless and user-friendly.
Wireless Charging Pads Some high-end smartwatches support wireless charging through Qi-compatible pads. These chargers allow for effortless placement without worrying about cords or connectors.
Portable Chargers For those always on the go, portable smartwatch chargers are a lifesaver. Compact and battery-powered, they ensure your watch stays charged even without an outlet nearby.
Charging Stands and Docks Charging stands are perfect for home or office use. They hold the smartwatch in place, often doubling as a stylish display for your device.
Features to Look for in a Smart Watch Charger
When shopping for a smartwatch charger, keep these features in mind:
Compatibility: Ensure the charger is compatible with your specific smartwatch model. Not all chargers work universally.
Cable Length: A longer cable provides flexibility, especially if outlets are far from your desk or bedside.
Portability: Lightweight and compact chargers are ideal for travel.
Durability: Look for chargers with robust build quality to withstand daily wear and tear.
Safety Features: Chargers with built-in protections against overheating, short circuits, and overcharging ensure your smartwatch remains safe.
Top Smart Watch Charger Brands
Several brands offer reliable smartwatch chargers tailored to different models. Here are a few worth considering:
Apple: Known for their magnetic chargers for Apple Watch, delivering fast and safe charging.
Samsung: Their chargers cater to Galaxy Watches, offering both wired and wireless options.
Anker: Renowned for versatile, high-quality charging accessories, including those for smartwatches.
Belkin: Trusted for multi-device charging solutions, perfect for users with multiple gadgets.
Tips for Maximizing Your Charger’s Efficiency
Always use chargers designed specifically for your smartwatch model.
Avoid using third-party chargers that aren’t certified, as they may harm your device.
Clean the charging ports and surfaces regularly to maintain proper contact.
Store your charger properly to prevent damage to cables or connectors.
Conclusion
Smartwatch chargers are an essential accessory, bridging the gap between advanced technology and everyday convenience. Investing in a reliable charger not only ensures uninterrupted performance but also extends the lifespan of your device. Whether you’re at home, at work, or on the move, having the right charger keeps your smartwatch powered up and ready for action.

With helpful insights into charging tips, safety, and device compatibility, you’ll be prepared to find the ideal charging solution for your smartwatch.
Benefits of Dedicated Smartwatch Chargers
Dedicated smart watch chargers provide a unique advantage over generic charging options by delivering optimal performance and protecting your device’s battery life. Designed to suit specific smartwatch models, they often incorporate features that prevent overcharging and overheating, thus extending your watch’s longevity. For active users who rely on their smartwatches daily, a dedicated charger ensures fast and efficient power delivery, often reducing charging time significantly. Dedicated chargers may also enhance user convenience, as they’re frequently compatible with charging docks and stands. Understanding these benefits can help you decide if investing in a dedicated charger is the right choice for you.
Types of Smartwatch Chargers and How They Work
Smart watch chargers come in several varieties, each using different charging mechanisms. Some of the most common types include magnetic chargers, wireless charging pads, USB chargers, and multi-device charging stations. Magnetic chargers connect via magnets to the back of the smartwatch, ensuring a stable connection and quick charging process. Wireless charging pads use electromagnetic induction to charge compatible devices without needing direct contact points. USB chargers are portable, allowing charging from any USB port, while multi-device stations offer the convenience of charging several gadgets simultaneously. Knowing how each type works helps in selecting the most suitable charger for your smartwatch model.
Choosing the Right Charger for Your Smartwatch
Selecting the best charger for your smart watch chargers requires considering the compatibility, convenience, and charging speed. First, ensure that the charger is compatible with your smartwatch model, as not all chargers work universally. Check for certifications such as Qi compatibility for wireless charging. Think about convenience as well—will you use the charger at home, on the go, or both? Portable options may be preferable for travel, while charging docks or stations might work better for home use. Charging speed is another important factor; some chargers offer fast-charging capabilities, ideal for those needing a quick power boost.
How Magnetic Chargers Benefit Smartwatch Users
Magnetic chargers provide significant benefits for smart watch chargers users due to their secure attachment and charging efficiency. This type of charger snaps to the back of the smartwatch, ensuring a stable connection throughout the charging process. Magnetic chargers are easy to use, as they automatically align with the smartwatch’s charging points, reducing wear on charging ports and ensuring a more durable connection. Furthermore, magnetic chargers generally support fast-charging technology, saving time for users who need their device charged quickly. This convenience makes magnetic chargers a popular choice for individuals who want hassle-free, reliable charging.
Wireless Charging Pads: A Modern Solution
Wireless charging pads are an innovative solution for smart watch chargers, eliminating the need for cables and offering a clutter-free experience. Using electromagnetic fields, wireless chargers transfer power to compatible smartwatches without physical connectors. They’re particularly beneficial for users who own multiple devices that support wireless charging. Wireless pads often incorporate safety features like temperature control and surge protection, safeguarding your device’s battery. This charging method is compatible with an increasing number of smartwatch models, providing a versatile solution. However, it’s essential to confirm that your smartwatch is Qi-compatible before opting for a wireless pad.
Portable Smartwatch Chargers for On-the-Go Convenience
Portable smart watch chargers are ideal for users who need a reliable charging solution while traveling or during outdoor activities. Typically compact and lightweight, these chargers can easily fit into a bag or pocket. Many portable chargers come with built-in batteries, allowing you to recharge your smartwatch multiple times without needing a power outlet. Some even feature solar charging capabilities for extended outdoor use. When choosing a portable charger, consider battery capacity and recharge time to ensure it meets your power needs. Portable chargers offer a practical option for keeping your smartwatch powered wherever you go.
Multi-Device Charging Stations for Tech-Savvy Users
For tech-savvy users with multiple devices, multi-device charging stations offer a centralized solution to keep everything powered up. These stations are designed to charge smartwatches, smartphones, and other wearables simultaneously, providing an organized setup. They’re ideal for households with several devices or individuals who value a clean, cable-free space. Multi-device chargers often incorporate fast-charging technology, reducing the overall time spent charging each device. Consider a station with flexible connectors or wireless options to accommodate different devices. This type of charger can streamline your charging routine, making it an efficient addition to your tech setup.
Charging Safety Tips for Long-Lasting Battery Life
To extend your smart watch chargers battery life, it’s essential to follow proper charging practices. Avoid overcharging by unplugging your device once it reaches full capacity. Overcharging can generate excess heat, potentially damaging the battery over time. It’s also recommended to use chargers that are specifically designed for your smartwatch model to prevent compatibility issues. Be cautious about using cheap or uncertified chargers, as they may lack essential safety features. Additionally, charging your device at moderate room temperatures is preferable, as extreme temperatures can negatively affect battery health. These safety tips help maintain optimal performance and battery longevity.
Essential Charger Features to Look For
When selecting a smart watch chargers, several features are worth considering to ensure it meets your needs. Look for chargers with fast-charging capabilities, as they reduce downtime. Overcharge protection is another important feature that prevents the battery from excessive charging, which can harm the device. Temperature control mechanisms are beneficial for maintaining safe charging conditions. For those with multiple devices, chargers with Qi wireless compatibility or multiple ports are convenient. Portability and durability are also crucial features, especially for users who travel frequently. These essential features provide a better charging experience while protecting your smartwatch.
Troubleshooting Common Smartwatch Charging Issues
Experiencing issues with your smart watch chargersr can be frustrating, but troubleshooting steps can help resolve them. Start by checking the connection points and ensuring they’re clean, as dust can disrupt the charging process. If the charger isn’t working, try using a different power source or cable to rule out problems with the outlet or cable. Another issue could be overheating; let the device cool down before attempting to recharge it. For wireless chargers, alignment issues might be the cause, so repositioning the smartwatch can often help. Addressing these common issues ensures your charger remains functional.
Eco-Friendly Charging Options for Sustainability
With growing awareness around sustainability, eco-friendly smart watch chargers have become more popular. Some manufacturers now offer chargers made from recycled materials, reducing the environmental impact. Solar-powered chargers are also an excellent choice for environmentally conscious users, as they rely on renewable energy. Additionally, chargers with efficient energy usage are designed to minimize electricity consumption. These eco-friendly options not only help reduce waste but also promote sustainable practices. For consumers who value eco-friendly solutions, choosing a sustainable smartwatch charger can be a great way to support a greener lifestyle.
How to Extend Your Smartwatch Battery Life
Maximizing your smartwatch’s battery life involves adopting effective charging habits and optimizing usage. Avoid charging your device to 100% every time; instead, keep it between 20% and 80% to reduce battery stress. Enable battery-saving features like dimming the display and limiting notifications when not needed. Additionally, disconnect the charger once the device is fully charged to prevent overcharging. Regularly updating the smartwatch software can also improve battery efficiency, as manufacturers often release updates to optimize power usage. Implementing these tips ensures your smartwatch remains powered longer between charges.

If your smartwatch isn’t charging as expected, it could be due to several reasons. Common causes include dirty charging contacts, a faulty cable, or a worn-out battery. Clean the contacts gently with a soft cloth to ensure a secure connection. Try using a different charger or cable to identify potential issues with the power supply. If problems persist, the battery may require replacement, as it may no longer hold a charge effectively.
Can I Use Any Charger for My Smartwatch?
While some chargers are compatible with multiple devices, it’s best to use a charger specifically designed for your smartwatch model. Using a generic charger may not deliver the correct voltage or current, leading to slow charging, overheating, or even battery damage. Be Neat. Be Organized.
Did you know that a cluttered desk can affect your productivity, creativity and mental health? Studies have shown that having too much stuff on your desk can cause stress, distraction and lower performance. That's why you should keep your study and office desk clean and organized. A tidy desk can help you focus, boost your mood and inspire you to achieve your goals. Here are some tips on how to declutter your desk and make it a more pleasant and efficient workspace.
TIPS: BE NEAT & ORGANIZED
Start by sorting out your papers and files. Keep only what you need and recycle or shred the rest. Use folders, labels, and organizers to store them neatly.
Next, get rid of any unnecessary items that are taking up space on your desk. Donate, sell, or toss anything that you don't use or love. You'll be surprised by how much room you'll free up!
Then, give your desk a good wipe down with a damp cloth and some disinfectant. Dust and dirt can accumulate over time and make your desk look dull and dirty. A clean desk will make you feel more refreshed and motivated.
Finally, add some personal touches to your desk that make you happy. You can display some photos, plants, art, or anything else that inspires you. Just make sure they don't clutter your desk or distract you from your work.

Talent part 3
Paige Bueckers x reader
Summary: You continue texting Paige after she sends you flowers.
a/n: we are getting to them meeting, slowly but surely. Short chapter but I promise part 4 will be longer. Trust.
The flowers were sitting on your coffee table in front of your couch and every time you looked at them, your heart beat sped up and your face grew hot. It took you weeks of constant begging just to get your ex-girlfriend to give you a simple, small bouquet of tulips. Yet here you were, staring at your favorite flowers looking beautiful on your coffee table, given to you by someone you had just met a few hours ago. But there was a part of you that knew not to fall too deep too fast. Because this was exactly how it happened last time, and you didn’t know if you could recover from getting hurt by another girl again.
The smart thing to do would just be to give Paige a simple ‘thanks’. However, what you wanted to do was buy a plane ticket and pounce on her the second you see her. You chose the smart option. You pull your phone off your charger, finding Paige’s instagram account and sending her a quick message, “thanks for the flowers.”
About twenty minutes later, you heard a notification ping off your phone and you knew exactly who it was which caused the butterflies in your stomach to multiply instantly.
“You like them?”
“Yes.”
“Good.”
Okay, so this is the part where you play smart and leave her on read. We’re leaving Paige on read. You place your phone on the coffee table by the flowers. And even though you knew that you shouldn’t continue the conversation, everything in you itched with hope that she would text you again.
And your prayers were answered.
“You can’t leave me on read after I just bought you flowers.”
You were fucked. Absolutely fucked.
“You’re right.”
“There we go, that's a start.”
“You can’t just get me flowers after only talking for a few hours.”
“Why?”
“How’d you get my address?” This question hadn’t popped into your brain until you realized that you had indeed just met her on a livestream not even twenty four hours ago.
“I got a confession to make.”
“Oh god what.” Was this gonna be the part where she confesses to secretly stalking you for years? You honestly didn’t know.
“Your best friend, Madison, we close.” Your jaw dropped a little. Madison, your best friend who you had met at an award show years ago, had never mentioned being close with a girl who was exactly your type. What a friend.
“You know Madison?”
“Yeah we met at some event a while back and I texted her asking for your address and she gave it to me.”
Very interesting.
“You were that committed? To sending me flowers?”
“Damn fucking right.”
This is so fucking dangerous. Y/n, you know better. What the hell are you doing? Put the damn phone down and go shower, eat, watch a movie. Or go back to sleep. But she’s so damn cute. And sweet. And flirty, And…no don’t even go there.
“You didn’t have to do that.”
You saw those three little dots appear and then disappear. Finally, they reappeared a few seconds later. “I told you I’d show you how beautiful you are and I’ll send you flowers everyday to prove it.”
“Please don’t do that.”
“Did I make you uncomfortable? I really hope I didn’t.”
“No, it doesn't make me uncomfortable at all. I just don’t understand why you’re so dedicated when we just met.”
“Honestly? I’m trying to figure it out bc it’s not a fucking secret that you’re my celebrity crush and I fucking like you.”
“Definitely not a secret.”
“And I can tell you’re like trying to push me away.”
“You make it really hard to do that.”
“Don’t push me away. You’re like the first girl I’ve been this invested in this quickly.”
Your body practically shuddered at her words and those familiar feelings of butterflies began to stir deep within you. Everything about Paige seemed to be too perfect, as if something was gonna go wrong or she was gonna say something wrong. Before you had the chance to respond, Paige texts you again.
“I wanna see you, princess.”
“See me?”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Of course you were nervous about meeting her in person. Who wouldn’t be?
Paige’s text came back within two seconds. “Scared you’re gonna like me?”
“Never said that.”
“I’ll see you in Hartford, princess.”

Chapter 1
Summary: You’re unable to grasp the luck you have. You were raised to run from danger, to go the opposite direction of bad influences. So when you somehow find yourself right in the center of it, you discover that running wasn’t exactly what you were taught. It only took GhostFace and a pretty girl to remember that.
next part
The game you were playing was beginning to bore you. The music wasn't even all that and your butt feels sore after sitting on these steps for the last three hours. A couple of drunk teenagers stumble by you again and you can't help but scoff in annoyance.
The extra battery pack you brought was dead and you had about seventeen percent left on your phone. You knew the idea of bringing a backpack was smart, but what was stupid was not bringing an extra charger.
You're stuck here as designated driver for your roommate and her friends. You got the short end of the stick because Anika claims she wants you to get along with her girlfriend. Something about her girlfriend having trust issues with people she doesn't know.
You can't even recall her name.
Miranda? Martha? Melinda?
It starts with an M.
Also, she kicked your ass in ten games of rock-paper-scissors.
The last hour there have been people coming out, not coming in anymore. The costumes were sad this year, and that's coming from someone who doesn't even celebrate. You think you saw one of Anika's friends as a slutty pirate? Maybe it was just a regular pirate; either way, it was lacking creativity.
She is pretty, though.
“Hey!”
You pick your head up, eyebrows connecting at the random outburst. You look around, suddenly aware no one else is sober enough or free to pay attention. So this woman must be calling you out.
And stupidly, you point at yourself and ask, “Me?”
The woman stalks over, and you stand, ready to fight to defend yourself. You lift your fists up but then they fall to your side at the taser in her hand.
“Where's my sister?” She asks, the taser sparks and you can't seem to find an escape with the house pressing against your back.
“I...I don't know,” you stutter, eyes on the taser and watching it move as she speaks.
“Let me through.”
You jump over the ledge and fall into the bushes, allowing the woman entrance to the home. You fall with a thud and groan, spitting leaves out of your mouth in the process. When you stand, the couple making out by the bushes stare at you with a mix of concern and irritation.
“Joker, Black Widow,” you say, stumbling out of the bush with a grunt. “Nice crossover. As you were,” you brush the remaining leaves off your clothes.
You attempt to enter the home, to warn Anika and her friends of some lunatic with a taser. But that same lunatic comes out with Anika and her friends in tow.
Anika tugs you along with her as they stalk out of the property. You groan at the pull, the grip she has on you is causing a pinching pain.
“My car!” you shout, glancing back at your parked car in the distance.
“We'll get it later,” Anika mutters, releasing you a second later.
The lunatic, who you learned is named Sam, shouts after the sister she was looking for, Tara. You follow behind with your shoulders slumped, solemn at the thought of your car parked in a street you don't know.
You're unaware of the group stopping to watch the sisters argue and you continue sulking past them. Hands tucked in your pockets, you kick a rock gently, turning and stopping in your tracks.
You regret ever allowing Anika to convince you to be designated driver. You're going to ask for a change of roommate when you get back.
But it goes to the back of your mind when you overhear someone behind you say, “is that the murderer?”
You raise a brow and look at the voice, tilting your head when you lock eyes with the stranger. And the stranger is throwing something at Sam before you can even comprehend her words.
“Murderer!”
The liquid hits Sam dead on, angering the older woman and unleashing the built up anger she most likely held back during the argument with her sister. Chad has to grab ahold of Sam then Tara to avoid a bigger fight from occurring.
Something in you shouts to get away from these people. It's a loud voice that you know belongs to your parents, who always told you to stay away from the wrong crowd. And maybe, this is what they meant by wrong crowd.
You stay back as they all walk away, just a few feet away from a sad, soaked and tired Sam. You exhale a breath, waiting for Ethan to walk away from his awkward interaction with the older woman. You take off your backpack and unzip it to grab the towel you packed.
While your parents raised you to run from danger, they also taught you manners. You step up to Sam cautiously, extending the towel towards her slowly.
Sam looks between you and the towel. It takes her a minute to decide if she can trust you, or maybe trust the towel. You aren't sure, but you reassure her. "It's better than whatever was on the napkins Ethan gave you," you shrug.
Sam takes the towel, or rather snatches it. She doesn't say anything, and you take that as her silently telling you to leave her alone. You turn and walk the other direction, away from the group. For once, you're listening to your parents' advice.
You decide it's a good night to be away from your roommate. So you head to your cousin's place, knowing his place was just a few blocks away. That way, you could wake up and pick up your car on your way back to your dorm.
You text your cousin to warn him of your presence at his apartment, to avoid interrupting any activities occurring. He texts back informing you he was on his way there, too, to wait for him by the door.
You hear a chuckle to your left a few minutes after arriving to his apartment building. As he gets closer, he points to the name tag on your shirt.
“Dennis?” He asks, pulling his keys out of his pocket.
You shrug. “The party I was at wouldn't let me stay if I didn't have a costume,” you wait patiently for him to unlock the door.
You follow him in, listening to him as he speaks. “And they allowed the fake name tag as a costume?” He asks, closing the door behind you.
You pause at the entrance, freezing when you see Sam at the bottom of the stairwell. You face your cousin with wide eyes. “I'm being followed,” you whisper, eyes filled with panic.
He looks behind you and locks eyes with Sam. He chuckles and shakes his head. “Head on up, I'll meet you there,” he tells you, handing you his keys.
You pause and stare at him like he's crazy, but don't question it, snatching the keys from his hands. You practically sprint past Sam, but pause at the first step to tell your cousin, “she's got a taser, Danny.” you warn him.
Sam glances back at you with narrowed eyes. You scurry off without another word.
You aren't sure how long you wait for your cousin, hoping he's still alive. All you know is, when he does return, you run up to him and immediately ask questions.
“How do you know taser girl?” You ask first, unaware of his worried state. You follow him into his kitchen, questions still flying out of your mouth. “How long have you known taser girl? Did she always live in this building? Why are people calling her a murderer? Why do you look like you've seen a ghost?” You ask when you finally notice his state.
Danny leans against the counter. “She's leaving,” he mumbles, as if he is just now realizing this.
You raise a brow. “What?”
Danny looks at you, and he thinks about all the possible outcomes of telling you the truth. Sam may have passed over a little of her skepticism to him. He's found himself questioning everyone's intentions at times, even at the smallest things like when his coworker ask him to pass him the salt one day at lunch.
“Sam is the girl I'm seeing,” Danny finally says, a weight falling off his shoulders after the words come out of his mouth. All you do is raise a brow. “We've been keeping it secret from her sister and her friends...”
“And me apparently,” you mutter.
Danny sends you an apologetic look, then he sighs sadly. “She's leaving,” he says again. “There was a murder of some students at Blackmore, your school.”
You frown. “Lucky bastards,” you mutter, crossing your arms over your chest childishly.
Danny's expression goes blank, a deadpan look crossing his face. He runs a hand down his face and shakes his head.
“It was a joke,” you say, eyes casting down to avoid his look. “What's the big deal of the murder anyway? It's New York. People die. We move on. It's the circle of life.”
Danny pinches the bridge of his nose. “God, your parents really did shield you from the world,” he mutters, huffing a breath afterward. “Do you watch the news? Check the internet–do you even know who Sam Carpenter is?” He asks you after a beat.
You shrug. “Relative of Jesus? I don't know, Danny– can't you just tell me instead of having me guess?” You give up, patience gone along with your interest in his love life.
And so Danny begins to explain, about Sam Carpenter's past. He tells you she's not just anyone—and you think he was going drone on about how amazing she is but no, he tells you she's tied to a dark legacy, one that involves a string of murders that happened in Woodsboro. Sam is the daughter of Billy Loomis, one of the original killers from those infamous Ghostface murders.
You don't watch the news, so he has to explain the Woodsboro murders. He tells you there's movies about it and you remind him you don't watch horror movies. It leads to a long argument of what movie genre is the best–man, ADHD is in everyone in the family.
Your head spins as Danny returns to his explanation. And you try to piece it all together, figuring out the whole relative thing, the murders and the murderers. You decide to suck it up and watch the Stab movies when you get the time.
Right now, you have bigger things to think about. “Wait, you're telling me your girlfriend is related to some psychopath who went on a killing spree? And people think she might be involved in this new murder at Blackmore?”
Danny looks exhausted but nods. “That's why they're calling her a murderer. She's been trying to escape all of this, but it's followed her here.”
You scoff. “Man, you know how to pick 'em,” you laugh gently, going back to the living room to sit on the couch.
Danny follows behind you, glaring.
You sink into the couch, hands raised in surrender. “Sorry. Geez,” you mutter. “So you're dating a woman who might be the next Ghostface? Or worse, the target of another psycho?”
Danny shrugs, taking a seat beside you on the couch, shaking his head. “She's not the killer. I know her. She's just... trying to live a normal life. But people won't let her. You saw what happened tonight.”
You groan and lean back. “Great. Now I'm stuck in the middle of some horror movie drama.”
Danny frowns at that, worry lines deepening on his face. “Listen, just stay out of it, okay?”
“Believe me, I'm trying,” you huff.
“Sam's trying to leave all this behind. She's not dangerous. Just... misunderstood,” Danny defends.
You're quiet for a while, processing. “So, what now? She's leaving, but what about you?”
He shrugs, looking defeated. “I don't know. Maybe it's better this way.”
You let out a long sigh, not sure what to think anymore. Everything seems so absurd, like you've just been pulled into some twisted movie plot. “This better not end with me getting stabbed,” you mutter, half-joking but half-serious.
Danny gives you a tired smile. “I'll make sure it doesn't.” But his tone doesn't inspire much confidence, and you're left wondering just how deep this whole thing goes.
Your phone vibrates in your pocket, and you assume it's your mom checking in on you. You had told her of your plans and she was adamant of you not going to the party. You should have listened.
You also shouldn't have picked up the phone.
“Sweet mother,” you answer the phone, grinning at your cousin. He rolls his eyes, but the smile on his lips tells you he found it funny.
You expect an answer but nothing comes. You look at your phone screen and tilt your head at the lack of caller ID on it.
“Hello?” You say, waiting for some kind of response.
“Hello, Dennis,” your eyebrows raise, looking at your cousin. “Welcome to the party. Are you having fun?”
You pause to really think of an honest answer for the question. The voice isn't one you recognize, then again, this person did call you by your fake name; he may not know you either.
“Well, not really,” you reply, shoulders sagging as you continue, “and I'm not Dennis. You either got the wrong number or you assume my name is Dennis 'cause you saw me at the party.”
“Oh but I have the right number,” the voice responds, almost giddily.
“Who is it?” Danny whispers, scooting closer to you.
You wave him off, listening to them continue.
“Your cousin thinks he's so clever, doesn't he?” The voice says, menacingly. “Always two steps ahead. But he'll never see me coming. Neither of you will,” then the line goes dead.
You shake your head when you hear the tone signaling the end of the call. You huff and drop your phone to your lap. Danny waits for you to explain the call.
“Some dude called,” you start, nonchalantly. “Said we're not gonna see him coming.”
Danny's eyes widen, standing to grab his phone in the kitchen. You're lost at his sudden rush and concern, following him slowly. He has his phone pressed to his ear, waiting anxiously for someone to answer.
He slams his phone on the counter a few seconds later. He grabs his keys then turns to you. “Let's go. I need your help.”
He doesn't explain and you stupidly follow him, wondering what exactly he needs help with. When you exit the apartment building, he turns to you, eyes wide, frantic, and filled with worry.
“Can you handle this?”
“Handle what? You haven't explained anything,” you reply, an unsettling feeling growing in your gut. “You're freaking me out, Danny.”
“We have to split up, but don't stop looking over your shoulder,” he grips your shoulders, forcing you to meet his frantic eyes. “These GhostFace fanatics are freaks and you have to watch out for yourself. Can you handle this?”
The look on your cousin's face worries you, but your need to always help him—because he's always helped you, no matter what—makes you decide. You nod, confident and determined. You want your cousin to know he can count on you, just like you can count on him.
Not that you ever expected to chase after a killer to help your girlfriend. You're pretty sure you'd never get in a situation like this. You don't have fight in you; only flight.
But hell, if Danny needs you to search for that inner fight, you'll do it for him.
“You go that way, I'll go this way,” he points to the left then the right. “You knocked me out once when we were younger, think you can do that to a freak in a mask?”
You stare at him blankly. “I was ten and hyped up on sugar,” he sighs, regret crossing his face for bringing you into this. You shake your head, wanting to reassure him. “I got a knife,” you say as you pull out the box cutter your brother gave you for work.
Danny stares at it but doesn't comment. “Be careful,” he says, lifting his phone. “And call when you find them.”
You raise your hand to your forehead, saluting. He sprints off after doing a quick look around your surroundings. You do the same, gripping the box cutter in your hand like a lifeline.
You peek into every alley before passing it, making sure there isn't anyone lurking. You're not exactly sure how far you are from Danny's apartment when you reach the bodega at the corner. You come to a slow stop as several people run screaming out of the store.
“Please be a robbery,” you mutter, summoning the courage to fight instead of run. You bounce on your feet a few times, hyping yourself up before you finally walk up to the bodega's doors.
A bell chimes when you open the door, and the scene before you immediately makes you rethink your bravado.
GhostFace turns with the shotgun pointed at you. You've seen the mask before at stores, and you find it ridiculous that people are using a Halloween costume as a way to kill people.
“Wrong store, I'll come back late—”
You duck just in time to avoid the bullet and crawl toward the closest thing you can find for cover. You've played enough video games to know how to survive someone shooting at you.
You press your back against the shelf, heart pounding as you catch your breath. The bodega aisles stretch out in front of you, offering minimal coverage. You glance at the door–running seems like a bad idea. You could make a run for it, but you know bullets fly faster than you run.
His footsteps echo throughout the bodega, slow and deliberate; like he has all the time in the world. But he can't be stupid, someone must have called 911 by now. Right?
You peek around the shelf, catching a glimpse of the mirror hanging from the ceiling. You watch it to see what direction GhostFace is walking to. You see him step over a body, and you're aware it was cashier who probably tried to play hero.
Then, you see them and you roll your head in annoyance. Danny was not lying. Her past follows her so of course Sam and Tara are here, hiding from the freak in the mask.
“I could be in bed,” you mumble, looking at the shelf you're hiding behind for something to use. “But noooo...the one time you rebel against your parents' wishes, you get stuck in some shitty fanfiction a weirdo is writing,” you grab a can, then a jar of olives.
You glance at the mirror, GhostFace is steps away from discovering Sam and Tara so you don't even acknowledge Sam's attempt to get your attention–you toss the can towards the door. He quickly turns and reacts with shooting a nonexistent figure.
You stand now that his back was turned, lifting your arm to throw the jar at his head. As the jar flies in the air, you whistle to get his attention and timed it well to hit him square in the face. The shotgun falls out of his hands and you shout at the sisters to run.
They don't need to be told twice. Sam grabs Tara's arm, pulling her along as they run out of the store. You can hear sirens in the distance but you keep your eyes on GhostFace, who finally regains his composure. He looks out the bodega's windows and sees the flashing lights, then looks back at you with a look that tells you he is not happy.
He runs away and disappears towards the back, leaving you standing there in disbelief.
Did you just face off with a murderer?
You exit the store with your hands up, not wanting the cops to assume you're a threat. Either way, you're handled roughly by an officer as he grips your hands to cuff.
Sam and Tara appear out of nowhere, pulling you out of the replay of the events that occurred in the store. You blink, feeling the cuffs bite your wrists with a tight pinch.
“Stop, they helped us,” Sam says first, voice firm as she glares at the officer. Tara doesn't wait long to support her statement.
“Helped how?” The officer asks, eyeing you and now them suspiciously. Still, he doesn't even loosen his grip on your wrists.
“New York's finest,” you mumble with a head shake. You grimace when his grips tightens. “Oww,” you drawl out.
“They distracted GhostFace long enough for us to get out,” Tara adds, sending you a warning glare to keep your mouth shut. You duck your head, pursing your lips into a thin line. “If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have gotten out,” she jumps to your defense again.
The officer eyes you all, eyes squinting as he stares. He grunts then, “wait here.”
“Am I under arrest?” You asks as he walks away. You groan at his lack of response.
You tap your foot, aware of the presence of the sisters. You can feel the tension from the Carpenters without even looking at them. The last time you were alone with Sam, you ended up in a bush. Last time you saw Tara, she was wearing a pirate costume and laughing about it. Now, here you are. Life, huh?
“Nice night,” you mumble, because apparently, you never learn when to keep your mouth shut.
Both sisters look at you, deadpan. If looks could slap, you'd be on the ground. You shut up, but only for a second, because now Danny comes running up, and you know this is going to be great.
“Oh god, what did you do?” Danny hisses, eyes darting between you and the sisters.
“Saved your girlfriend,” you snarl, feeling deeply insulted that he automatically assumes you did something stupid. Danny freezes, eyes widening in horror at the worst-kept secret in the room.
You walk up to the officer as makes his way over to you. “Please say I'm under arrest,” you practically plead, wanting to escape from this reality.
The officer shakes his head, signaling for you to turn around. You do as you're told, feeling him unlock the cuffs from around your wrists. The stares from the three of them make you shift uncomfortably, keeping your head down until you're able to feel your wrists, holding them against your chest to soothe the ache.
Tara snaps her neck towards her sister, her gaze sharp. “Girlfriend?” she asks, voice icy.
Sam winces, like she knew this was coming. “Not now, Tara,” she nods in the direction a detective walking over to them.
The man smiles crookedly, stepping up to them almost awkwardly. “Care to explain?” He starts, then looks between you and Danny. “I'm sorry, I don't think we've met. I'm detective Bailey.”
“Danny,” your cousin introduces himself, crossing his arms over his chest. There's a tension between them and he feels it thickening with each second passing.
Bailey turns to you. You tap on the fake name tag still on your shirt. “Dennis,” you lie, earning yourself an elbow to your side. You glare at Danny before returning to look at the detective. “Y/N,” you mumble, huffing.
Bailey nods, then sighs as his gaze returns to the Carpenter sisters. “I think you know what I'm going to say,” he says.
Sam nods, arms crossed over her chest defensively. “Let's go then,” she makes her way to the car the detective came in, her sister following.
Danny does the same but you, however, don't move. You didn't sign up for whatever this is. This is your chance to finally step away from this situation. Then, like they all practiced, they turn back to look at you.
“I'm fine here,” you say dismissively. “I appreciate the invite though–”
“Get in the car,” Danny orders with a glare, pointing to the vehicle.
You didn't plan to, you really didn't. But when you look at Tara–when Tara looks back at you, her expression shifting from anger to something softer—vulnerability, maybe. For a second, she's not the girl who just stared down a serial killer; she's just... someone who doesn't want to be alone.
That gets you. You barely know the girl but those eyes draw you in. Screw you and your inability to walk away from a pretty girl. You shuffle toward the car, muttering under your breath several complaints.
You squish in the back seat, Tara seated between you and Sam. The drive to the police station drives by the house the whole night started at. You frown at the sight of your car, lonesome and abandoned.
You sigh dramatically, your mind suddenly reminding you of the one thing that truly matters. “Ahh, fuck,” you groan, earning immediate side-eyes from everyone in the car. “I've got a paper due at midnight.”
Danny turns, his expression a perfect blend of exhaustion and disbelief. “Stop talking.”
And for once, you do.
As you approach the police station, the lights flickering in the night like a beacon of both hope and uncertainty, you realize that whatever happens next, you're not alone. You might be just a regular person caught in a slasher film, but now you're part of something bigger. You were here for Danny, and were further dragged in by Tara's doe eyes, and maybe—just maybe—this wild ride will lead to something unexpected. Hell, this may turn out for a good final senior thesis.
You take a deep breath, feeling that flicker of determination ignite within you. No matter how this night ends, you won't let fear hold you back. After all, survival is a team sport, and you're ready to play.
The car rolls to a stop, and as you all step out into the bright lights of the police station, you can't shake the feeling that this is just the beginning of a very messy adventure. But at least you'll face it with someone.

one messed up bat .4
Dc masterlist
Batfam x reader x Jason eventually
Summary: The batboys sticking close to y/n
Warnings: self harm, self hate, angst, short sorry
A/N: I do not own dc
"Let's take a little trip around the room and you can tell me where all the sharp things are, or, you can be moved to an unused room and only come in here with supervision," Dick said with his hands on his hips.
"It'd be faster to move rooms, after all I have vigilante stuff in here too."
"I was afraid you'd say that, alright well, grab your pillow and anything else you need. Phone charger or whatever. I'm gonna lock the door when you're done and I will have to let you in-"
"This is ridiculous all my games and books and stuff are in here, not to mention my sewing supplies." (because I said so you now know how to sew, Y/n designs leather goods, handbags, fancy wallets etc. and has dreams of people actually knowing they exist)
"I didn't know you sewed," Tim said looking up from his phone to take in her room.
"I've had a machine sitting in the corner for years now, I thought you were supposed to be smart," she said walking over just so she could flick his ear.
"Hey, ow, I thought it was just girly decoration?"
"I suppose to giant shelf of supplies next to it is also decor," she asked with her head tilted.
"Sewing shears are sharp as hell, no way are you allowed around them without somebody's eyes glued to you," Jason said holding a pair of Italian knifes edge shears.
"Hey put those down they were three-hundred-bucks!" He nearly dropped them at her shout but caught them and set them gently back in their case.
"For scissors," Dick asked in disbelief.
"They could cut your arm off. They're Italian and I love them more than I love any of you."
"You're sleeping in a different room but you can be in her during the day, with one of us here."
She rolled her eyes but kept her mouth shut, whatever he needed to tell himself but she knew how this was gonna go. They'd say they were gonna take shifts, but stuff would come up, they would get bored. Tired of following her to the bathroom and sitting outside awkwardly. She'd be a good little pet, keep her skin clear of even a bruise from bumping into something and they would get complacent and lazy, checking up on her once a day. She gave it two weeks before they were leaving her alone again, and a month before they couldn't be under the same roof anymore and she only had to deal with Tim, easy the kid slept and drank coffee, and Damian who she could distract.
"Fine, anyone up for a snack?"
They nodded and she led the way to the kitchen, it was well into the night so it was dark aside from a few motion sensor lights she'd put in herself. (after the boys had said every curse word under the sun from bumping into stuff) She pulled out some chips and the other grabs various foods and drinks.
"We eating in here or you wanna go watch a movie?"
"Movie,"Tim answered starting to pour himself a cup of coffee.
"If you drink that at this hour-in fact if you drink any caffeine after four pm I'll start breaking picture frames to cut myself with the glass," she said snatching the cup from him and dumping it down the drain.
"Oh my God," Dick gasped dropping the bag of popcorn he'd just taken from the microwave.
"But...my coffee," Tim whispered looking at the drain like she'd just flushed his stash.
"Me no slashy you no caffey," she said pulling him into a hug. His arms came around her quickly and held her to him tight enough to make her back crack but neither of them moved. Her eyes welled with tears from the comfort and she tried to pull away but he held on.
"If you don't let me go I'm gonna cry," she warned.
"Go for it, you deserve it."
"If I start I won't stop."
"Oh, Y/n," Jason and Dick said in unison putting down their loot to add their arms to the hug. She was fully surrounded, encased in shear muscle, Tim's arms around her ribs and hands on her back. Dick's arms on top of his more hugging Tim than her but it was fine. Jason's arms were circled completely around her waist and they all took turns placing kisses on her hair. The need to cry and the urge to get away battled inside her but the only way out was teleportation.
"We love you," Dick said finally backing off.
"I second that," Jason said also stepping away.
"Thirdsies," Tim said stepping back to grab her face in his hands. "If you don't want me to drink coffee I won't drink it."
"Nice try, I said caffeine, energy drinks and tea included."
"Damn."
The moment passed they all grabbed their stuff again and headed to the theater room. A half hour into the movie she was the only one awake and she rolled her eye at the predictability, she started to sneak out of the room but Damian came in and snuggled up on her lap in the reclining seat she was in. (picture the Lego Batman seats the red velvet cushy looking ones)
"Tt, so pathetic they couldn't even be trusted to watch you for one night. He was so cute in his little batman pajamas she couldn't help but laugh at him squishing his face in her hands.
"Good thing I have you to look after me then huh?" He batted her hands away like and angry cat and grabbed the remote to change the tv, putting on old cartoon reruns instead. Dick was snoring like a freight train and she felt guilty for keeping him up so late, poor guy hadn't slept since birth. Tim was talking in his sleep something about mergers and 'no you can't sit there you little twat' he watched way too much British tv. Jason was silent and still as the dead next to her on hand stretched out in her direction as if he was offering her a lifeline even in his sleep.
@stormz369 sorry love forgot 😘

Here to once again advocate doll pilot reader this time with a clown performer mix. Quirky scientist reader who has the brains, but not the smarts when it comes to interacting with real people and partners with a tech company for the funds and equipment to make a functioning robot to get around town. The contract comes with the added deal of reader becoming a star on a show they've had in the works for a while about an android learning the ropes of life as a human - which in turn works in favor for reader and their poor social skills
Reader presents far more cheerful than they are in person most of the cast assume their robot to be advanced a.i. Their genuine confusion on basic human educate and them stuffing bagels in their mouth to take to their human self sells their clueless act well. A few might've developed a little obsession crush on the bot but alas it could never be... If only...
"Hey, can you pass me that charger?"
"Sure." Their co-star smiles as the android unstraps the bracelet from its arm and plugs the cord into an outlet on their wrist - hooking the charger up to the phone in their hand. It yawns without a breathe - rubbing at its eyes. So cute♡- Just where did they get the parts to make this bot.... what's that room on their screen?
"This? It's my bedroom. Needed to do some cleaning today but obviously I had work. Might do some while I'm sleep since my link we have is neurological."
It sure is.... wait- huh?
"Nobody ever tell you? Actually, only like... three people know so I don't blame you. I'm human just like you.. well, the me back home is. I have severe anxiety and not as chipper as I am on stage. Nice to meet ya - name's Y/n, but I'm sure you already knew that."
... ah.. that - definitely wasn't in the pamphlets.
In come the - innocent queries about the real you. Your bot is modeled off you - are you as cute as it? What's your full name? Address? Oops- looks like your charger disappeared. Filming took extra long today - might run out of battery before you get home. Maybe your kind, well meaning coworker can bring it to you?
crackpost under cut
Yan: I'm so happy to finally have you home, angel. Anything I can get you?
Human Reader: Just a glass of water, please-

authors note: omg the first drabble of the celebration... except apparently i can’t write drabbles so it’s more of a oneshot plz forgive me.
MURPHY’S LAW STATES: everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Now, you had no idea who Murphy was, but you used to always believe he was full of shit. There had been plenty of instances where things could have gone wrong, but they didn’t.
In fact, when it came to your case, it seemed like things usually went right. You got good grades, and got along well with all of your teachers. You were the captain of your school’s volleyball team, and had even been elected your school’s student body president your last year of high school. Things always went well for you, which is why you had never really been a believer in what that Murphy guy had to say.
At least, that’s what you thought before today. Because now, you were starting to think maybe you had taken your past ability to narrowly avoid disaster for granted. Because today, just like Murphy had once predicted, everything that could go wrong did just that: go wrong.
It started with your stupid charger. The night before, you must have apparently unplugged it, because when you plugged it into your phone before going to bed, it never charged. Which meant your phone died, and that meant your alarm never went off. And that meant you woke up ten minutes before school started, and your bus was going to be there any second.
So, in the quickest fashion you could muster, you brushed through your hair so you looked at least somewhat presentable then slipped into your uniform. You were incredibly impressed by how fast you’d managed to do that—just over 60 seconds! It must have been some kind of record. Less impressive, though, was the fact that even though you had been so speedy, you watched as the bus you were supposed to be on drove away in the direction of your school, leaving you behind.
Thank goodness for all those years playing volleyball, you had built up enough stamina to (barely) get you from your house all the way to the school. You were twenty minutes late, sure, but hey, at least you were there, right? Your first period teacher was not so understanding, almost immediately assigning you to detention after school.
Detention. You never got detention. In your four years at that school, working your ass off to be the best student you could be, a child your parents could be proud ofc, not once had you gotten assigned to detention. The realization that for the first time ever, you’d been punished by a teacher, was a foreign feeling as you sat at your desk and replayed everything that had happened. Detention, all because your stupid phone charger decided not to work the night before.
“Damn, I thought you were immune to detention.” A voice behind you whispered, and you glanced over to see Choi Beomgyu grinning at you. Of course Beomgyu had seen that all.
Choi Beomgyu was the exact opposite of you. He had fights with teachers basically on the daily, and you were pretty sure he was failing most of his classes. Not because he was stupid, by any means, he was actually really smart. He just didn’t try, he didn’t care about school the way you did. What he did care about, though, was teasing you as much as was humanly possible.
And of course, he had just seen you, the student body president, run into class twenty minutes late and get detention.
You had half a mind to bite back at him, because oh would that be satisfying, but you weren’t looking to talk in the middle of class and make your punishment worse than it already was. You instead gave him a side-eye glare, and he must have found it amusing since he started to giggle.
Once class got out, you really shouldn’t have been surprised to glance over your shoulder to see Choi Beomgyu following you, hot on your tail like he was some sort of lost puppy. You groaned quietly to yourself, hoping that if you ignored him long enough, he would get bored and walk away. Unfortunately, Beomgyu was a very patient man.
“I can’t believe you were late! What happened? Did your carriage lose a wheel on the way here, your highness?” He asked, using his long legs so he could get right up next to you.
You stayed silent.
“Come on, you can tell me! I’m like, the king of being late. I won’t judge.” He nudged your arm with his elbow, with just enough pressure for you to fall out of your rhythm. Now, he finally had your attention as you turned to look at him, eyes narrowed.
“Look, I’m not in the mood today, okay?” You told him flatly, and you were expecting him to find your irritable mood amusing, and find a way to push your buttons further than he already had, but he didn’t.
Instead, his face softened and he (surprisingly) went quiet. You didn’t bother sticking around to figure out what that was all about, not when you still needed to get to your class on the other end of the building, and you were not risking being late to a second class. So, you gave him a small nod, a thank you for leaving you alone, then walked away.
The rest of your day wasn’t any better.
In your history class, you got your grades for a test you’d recently taken, and nearly fell out of your seat when you saw a big fat C staring back at you. And your horror increased tenfold when you saw it wasn’t just a C, but a C minus. Never in your high school career had you gotten a C minus.
At that point of the day, you were starting to become convinced that someone had put some sort of curse on you. You didn’t really have any enemies who would have done that to you, though. Except maybe Choi Beomgyu, but you had a feeling putting a curse on someone was too much effort for him to be bothered with.
By the time the school day was over, you were completely exhausted. At lunch, your best friend, Sumin, accidentally spilled her drink on your uniform, and now you were wearing some extras from the lost and found that were much too big for you. You wanted nothing more than to go home, crawl into your bed and have a good cry, but you still had to do your detention.
You weren’t really sure what to expect from detention, considering you’d never had to do it before. You knew you weren’t looking forward to it, though, and just hoped it wouldn’t be anything horrible--especially since it was your first offense.
Your first period teacher was waiting for you in her classroom after classes got out, and she greeted you with a sympathetic smile. “Y/N. You know you’re one of my favorite students, so it really broke my heart when I saw you come in late this morning.”
The urge to roll your eyes arose, but you managed to fight it. Here she was, acting like you had betrayed her or something, when really, it was her decision to punish you for something so small.
“I understand.” You replied with a nod, avoiding her gaze.
“Good. So, I figured out the perfect thing for you.” She stood up and began to walk out of the classroom, with you following closely behind.
Apparently, the perfect thing for you was some storage room that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. There had been racks with boxes of textbooks that must have gotten knocked over, since the books were now all over the floor. And the room was covered in a thick layer of dust that made your nose itch the second you stepped inside. She left you with a singular rag, a bottle of cleaner, then left you alone.
You stood in the doorframe, assessing the room in front of you. Just from looking at it, you knew it was going to take you at least a few hours to clean the entire thing by yourself. Which meant it was going to be a few hours before you could go home, a few hours before you could go sleep this horrible, awful day away. Even worse, you were sure that something would go wrong during those next few hours that would prolong the time even longer.
Throughout the whole day, ever since you first realized you’d missed the bus, you had felt tears pricking your waterline, but you had managed to hold them in. You were going to wait until you were in your own bedroom, in private, before you even thought of letting them out. But now, as you stood there, staring at the mess in front of you, you could no longer hold them in.
It was like the floodgates had opened up, and all of the emotions you’d been restraining all day were released. A sob racked through your body, and you were no longer able to keep yourself steady, your knees unbuckling beneath you and causing you to collapse onto the floor. It was wildly embarrassing, the way you became a mess on the floor of the dirtiest room you’d ever seen, where anyone could walk in and see you.
And of course, because stupid Murphy just had to be right, that was exactly what happened.
There was a soft knock at the door, and you hurriedly looked over your shoulder to see the absolute last person you wanted to see poking his head in. You were overcome with horror as you snapped your head around to look away, praying as hard as you could to whatever deity would listen that he hadn’t seen your tears.
“Woah, are you crying?” He asked, and you shook your head.
“No. Why would I be crying?” You sniffled, picking up the rag and spray bottle you had dropped onto the floor and standing up. He caught a glimpse of your face again when you walked past, and he scoffed.
“You’re totally crying. Why are you crying? What’s wrong?” He asked again, stepping further into the storage closet and shutting the door behind him.
You shot him a glare as you attempted to stand one of the racks back up. “I’m not crying. Besides, even if I were, I’m not telling you. You’ll just make fun of me.” You mumbled the last part. Standing the rack up was proving to be futile.
“No I wouldn’t!” He defended himself, watching as you struggled to push the rack up. “Here, let me help you with that--”
“No!” You snapped at him, and he backed up with his hands held up defensively. You tried one more time to stand it up, and let out a frustrated groan when it once again wouldn’t budge. You had no choice but to surrender, and move to the side so Beomgyu could help you.
You were angry that you had to get his help to move the stupid thing. Now you were forced to be thankful he had showed up and barged in. “Thanks.” You muttered, brushing past him as you went to once again get your little rag and bottle.
“You’re welcome.” Beomgyu replied, and though you were facing away from him, you could hear his annoying, cocky smile in his voice. “So, are you going to tell me why you were crying?”
“No.”
“Oh, so you were crying!”
“I didn’t say that.” You looked up at him as you sprayed cleaner onto the dusty shelf. “I told you already, didn’t I? I don’t want to talk about it.”
Unfortunately, he didn’t seem as willing to drop the subject as he had earlier in the day. “Come on, Y/N. I saw you crying, you’re clearly upset, just tell me about it!”
“You’re going to laugh at me.”
“No I won’t!” He exclaimed, sounding exasperated. You raised an eye at his outburst, and he cleared his throat. “Seriously. I won’t.” He softened his tone, looking at you with pleading eyes.
You stared back at him, trying to figure out if you could trust him. This was Choi Beomgyu you were talking about, the boy who had tormented you for years on end with his constant teasing. But, he did look very sincere. And you were sort of itching to rant to someone.
“Fine. My phone didn’t charge last night, so my alarm never went off, so I woke up late, then I missed the bus and had to run to school, and then I got detention, and then I got a C on my stupid history test, and then Sumin spilled her stupid soda on me, so I had to wear this stupid uniform from the lost and found, and-and then I had to come here and clean this stupid closet, and I’m just so tired, and I-I--” The next thing you knew you were crying again, your breath hitching in the back of your throat as the tears spilled onto your cheeks once again.
The second the sobs slipped from your lips again, Beomgyu rushed around the shelf, slipping his arms around your trembling body and pulling you close to his chest. You were so desperate for any kind of comfort, you didn’t bother trying to push him away. Instead, you leaned into his touch, reaching up to grip onto the edge of his uniform jacket. He began to rub your back as you buried your face into his shirt, letting yourself cry--like, really cry. You thought you were going to pass out at any second from how difficult it was for you to catch your breath between sobs.
After enough of his fingers rubbing circles into your back and his soft shh’s whispered into your ear, you were slowly able to calm down to the point you could breathe again. It was truly unbelievable that you were here, in some dusty storage closet crying into Choi Beomgyu’s arms. It was not a position you had ever predicted yourself to be in. And yet…
You didn’t totally hate it.
“Can I tell you something?” Beomgyu asked softly, and with a small sniffle, you nodded against his shirt. “The reason I tease you so much… It’s so embarrassing…” He laughed softly, and you gently pulled your head away, looking up at him with furrowed eyebrows.
“What?” You asked, and as he gazed down at you, his cheeks reddened.
“Um… When we were in first grade, I tried to copy off of your test, once…”
“Yeah, I knew that.”
“What?! No you didn’t, I was so subtle, you didn’t even notice.” He shook his head, and you rolled your eyes. “But anyways, that’s not the point. I was trying to copy off your test, but I remember, I made the mistake of looking at your face--”
“What’s wrong with my face?” You asked defensively, a frown befalling your features.
“Let me finish!” He snapped at you, and out of curiosity to hear the rest of the story, you conceded. “So, I made the mistake of looking at your face, and you were all focused, and had your tongue sticking out of the side of your mouth,” he paused to allow a giggle to escape his lips.
“And I remember thinking you were so cute, and then I got so distracted watching you, by the time you got up to turn your test in, I had missed everything you had written down.”
You stared at him in confusion, trying to figure out what on Earth the point of this whole story was. “What…?”
He rolled his eyes. “Oh come on, Y/N. You’re the top of all our classes, and you can’t figure it out?”
You shook your head, and he let out a defeated sigh.
“I’m saying, Y/N, that I tease you because…” He paused, sucking in a shaky breath. “Because I like you, okay?”
“Oh.”
Oh.
Beomgyu liked you? Since first grade? You were unable to process his words, playing them in your head on repeat like some kind of broken record. He liked you. He annoyed the hell out of you, just because he liked you. What kind of middle school boy behavior was that?
“Oh? Is that all you have to say to my heartfelt confession?” He asked in fake offense, and you quickly shook your head.
“No! I’m just--it’s just--you like me? As in like-like me?” He nodded in confirmation, and you squinted your eyes at him. As he watched you, your gaze drifted down to his jacket, which you had been clinging onto just moments earlier, and the tear soaked fabric.
You felt like you should be absolutely appalled by his confession, and wracked with disgust, or something. You weren’t supposed to like Beomgyu! You weren’t supposed to be able to even stand him! But, his confession wasn’t the worst thing you had ever heard. In fact, as your fingers reached out to graze the edge of his jacket, you thought maybe you sort of liked hearing it.
“Y/N?” He asked you quietly, and you hummed in answer. “You don’t have to say anything, you know. In fact, if you really want me to, I can leave. Or you can leave, and I’ll finish cleaning for you--”
Maybe it was because you were in an emotionally crazed state, or you were desperate to prove Murphy wrong, hell, maybe it was just because you liked him back, but whatever it was, something overcame you, and the next thing you knew, you were tightening your fingers around his jacket to pull him close to you and press your lips against his.
The first thing you thought when you kissed Choi Beomgyu, was why hadn’t you done this sooner? You had been so consumed by your dislike towards him, and too focused on other things like your academics, you had never stopped to think of Beomgyu in this way. But now, as he immediately kissed you back, and wrapped his arms around your waist, you wished you had thought of him this way.
Because kissing Choi Beomgyu was absolutely not wrong. Rather, it was very, very right. It was like his lips were made to fit perfectly against your own, as they moved together in unison. You started to think all the bad things that had gone down that day weren’t so bad if it meant they would lead to this.
After what felt like an eternity of heavy breathing and hot kisses, the two of you finally pulled away, resting your foreheads against one another as you attempted to catch your breath. You glanced up at Beomgyu, a small grin spreading across your face to mirror his own.
“Hey, do you really want to clean all this shit?” He asked quietly, cocking an eyebrow at you. You shook your head. “Didn’t think so. Let’s get out of here, we’ll just tell them I kidnapped you, or something. You’re the Pres, they’ll believe us.”
Running away now was risking even further punishment, but Beomgyu was right. You were the president, you could basically do whatever you wanted. Besides, you’d spent all day trying to do the right thing, and still, everything had gone wrong. So, why not live a little, right? And why not do it with the cute boy who just confessed he’d liked you since the first grade?
You nodded. “Okay.”

Jason 'died-before-advanced-internet' Todd. He's definitely not at all good with technology as a whole. He's more equivalent to a very old man.
Babs: *appearing on Jason's phone by hacking into it* Sorry Jason, I had to intercept your phone to pass this message.
Jason: *whispers* whaaa??... ahem nah- no, its fine.
Babs:...
Jason:...
Jason: So how... is that even possible?
- 2 DAYS LATER -
Tim: *does the same thing*
Jason: Nope- nope. This. *waves hand at Tim on his phone* Witchcraft.
Tim: *half asleep watching Jason being a dramatic bitch on the huge batcomputer screen* What.
Jason: WITCHCRAFT THATS WHAT.
-
Jason: Hey Timmers!
Tim: What's up?
Jason: So uh... I got a laptop problem.
Tim: Oh no.
Steph: *from across the room* not again.
Cass: *chilling on the couch* *silently leaves*
Bruce: *also on couch*
Also Bruce: *pulls out phone and puts it to his ear despite no ringtone* oh- yeah? Huh? What's that? Urgent meeting? *leaves hurriedly*
Duke: *Just entering the room*
*hears Jason*
Also Duke: *does complete 180*
Jason: *oblivious* I don't know what's wrong Timmy, it's not turning on.
Damian: *Sitting on the floor with Alfred the cat, the only one still in the room besides Jason and Tim* Have you tried the power button.
Jason: I'm offended.
Tim: Jason. Try the power button.
Jason: *stares into Tim's eyes as he turns it on* *waits* HA! IT DIDN'T WORK!
Tim: Jason- you're supposed to want it to work!
Jason: Dami, Tim is useless. Help me out here.
Damian: Akhi, I'm 11. Have some dignity.
Jason: Yeah, that died with me in the warehouse.
Tim: Okay, did you drop it in water?
Jason: The dignity is dead, not my fucking brain Tim- Why would I drop it in water?? You're supposed to be the smart one.
Tim: *mutters* I think the brains dead too.
Jason: WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?
Tim: My god- okay listen...
- 2 HOURS OF INTENSE ARGUING LATER -
Tim: No- Don't shake it like that-
Jason: Any better ideas???
Tim: YES!
Jason: LIKE WHAT??
Tim: NOT SHAKING IT???
- ANOTHER HOUR LATER -
Jason: ...You're such a smartass and you can't even fix this damn thing!
Damian: *calmly* akhi-
Tim: WHY DONT YOU JUST BUY A NEW ONE INSTEAD OF USING A LAPTOP AS OLD AS DAMIAN?
Damian: *sighs* akhi.
Jason: Oh, I'm sorry I'm not rich like you! And it's not as old as Damian, it's a year younger!
Damian: Akhi!
Jason & Tim: WHAT??
Damian: *points to charger, not properly plugged in*
Tim:...
Jason:...
Tim: Jason.
Jason: Just- don't.
Tim: *deep breath* Jason. Did you plug-
Jason: APPARENTLY NOT TIM! BUT HEY WE KNOW THE PROBLEM NOW!
Tim: IT WAS NEVER A PROBLEM- IT JUST DIDN'T HAVE BATTERY!
Jason: I'M SORRY I DIED BEFORE COMPUTERS LIKE THIS-
Tim: OHMYGOD YOU KEEP BRINGING THAT UP-
- CONTINUES TO ARGUE -
Babs: *was silently listening through security feeds and knew the whole time*
Babs: *twitching with frustration* It's like watching one of Dick's soap operas.
But also, it's just Jason sometimes partly messing with them and they know it. Then sometimes he isn't messing with them. That's where the problem is because Jason is so good at lying (and being a menace to society), they can't tell the difference.
Got a bit carried away there💀💀
