A little backstory tidbit for my Grown Apart AU:

Contrary to their current relationship, there was a time when Donnie saw Big Mama's Assistant as a friend.

He spent a good deal of time talking to them, as they were the only person who seemed genuinely interested in listening to his thoughts and ideas (before April or Shelldon came along). Their quietness, which earned them a "spooky" reputation with most of the hotel staff, never bothered Donnie - he gravitated towards them for that very reason.

Since they never spoke, Donnie started teaching himself sign language to make communicating a little easier. They still didn't say a lot, but he'd get the occasional one-or-two-word response from time-to-time, which was enough to know they were listening.

So there's this theory going around that Todd Phillips may have flipped the dynamic and made Harley the aggressor/manipulator in the relationship and Joker the down bad one instead. And before anybody gets their panties in a twist, I think we need to remember that this version of Joker is a Loser. Very much a Loser. He's not the aggressive, dominant type we're used to (in his dynamic with Harley). This is a sad, sad little beta male who has severe mommy issues, who has never felt the touch of a woman in his life, and who fully imagined having a girlfriend in the first movie. Do you really think he's gonna be aggressive towards the first woman to pay him any attention? And not only that but a woman who seemingly matches his crazy and perfectly understands him? Yeah, no. He's going to be head over heels, Madly in Love.

Now he can still snap and turn against her because you know, Joker, but I do think that for most of the movie he's going to be giggling and kicking his feet like a schoolgirl in love.

“Okay, so we’ve found and destroyed two. How many more do you think there are?” Sirius asked Regulus as soon as he and James had returned to the camp. Regulus stared at Sirius incredulously.

“How am I supposed to know that?” 

“Well, you were his little follower. Surely there was something he let slip?” Sirius pressed. Regulus chewed his lip as he thought. 

“Not really, he just kept going on about blood purity and power. He spoke a lot about power. He said we should be always in power, over and over. He was obsessed,” Regulus racked his brain for anything else that might be helpful, but he knew very little about Voldemort apart from his abhorrent grammar.

“Always in power, where have I heard that before?” Sirius was pacing back and forth along the tree line, muttering to himself. “Always, always in power. Power, power, always in…” His head snapped up. That’s a family motto!” Sirius’s eyes stared into Regulus’s as though they held the answer. “Old, old family. Damn it, I can almost see it in that damn family's history book. Always in Power. It’s not the Carrows, maybe Selwyn. No, No, it’s the Gaunts! It’s the Gaunt family motto!” Sirius exclaimed excitedly. “The Gaunts are basically gone, there’s not been a new one born for decades. There’s only Morfin left and he’s in Azkaban. There was a huge thing about it. He killed a whole family of muggles. I’d have to look it up, but yeah, why is Voldemort spouting Gaunt words?"

“When was that?” James asked. “I don’t remember that.”

“It was before we were born in like the 40s,” Sirius waved James’s question off. 

“Riddle’s diary was dated 1943,” Regulus whispered. “What if he had something to do with it? The murders? If he’s related to the Gaunts, it would explain a lot. They were direct descendants of Slytherin and a lot of them spoke Parselmouth.” Regulus’s brain was sorting through the information as quickly as it could. “That article you read, Sirius, it might be worth trying to track down, it might be important.”

“Those records are going to be hard to get into at the Daily Prophet without drawing attention,” Remus, who up until then had let Sirius and Regulus bounce ideas off each other, spoke up. “You’re meant to be dead,” He pointed at Regulus. “You and I are missing and presumed dead,” He pointed at Sirius. “You’re a gobby werewolf who wouldn't even get through the front door,” He jabbed at Marcus. “And if James Potter starts asking about a specific incident involving the last member of an ancient pureblood wizarding family, someone’s going to start asking questions.”

“So what do you propose?” Regulus snarked.   

“Can you remember where you read it, Sirius?” Remus asked, ignoring Regulus. Sirius screwed his face up in thought. 

“Oh, shit, James!” Sirius’s eyebrows shot up his face. “Monty showed it to me, it’s in your damn library!”

“Looks like we’re going home again, love,” James spoke softly beside Regulus while Sirius hopped around excitedly. 

“That damn elf is going to have a fit,” Regulus groaned.

i just heard someone on youtube (T B Skyen) say that silco loved jinx but didnt quite know how to love powder, while vi loves powder but doesnt know how to love jinx. and oooof oof ouch yeah

also it got me thinking and obviously jinx and powder arent two different people shes just going by a different name now but its also not baseless to analyze them as different "characters", or what traits of jinx are part of powder, etc. like the animators literally have a trick where they change her facial structure how they animate jinx to show when shes behaving more like powder. shes completely changed who she is, its jinx now powder fell down a well, sat on the jinx chair embraces who she is etc etc

petition for ppl to stop trying to deny Ichigo’s title as a delinquent on the grounds of him being a good student. you know delinquency and good grades aren’t mutually exclusive, right? you want to tell me Kurosaki Ichigo, THE Kurosaki Ichigo, a mix of 4 different races, can’t be a delinquent AND 11th in his school? yeah, you’re delusional.

no one’s gonna call you a delinquent just bc you have bad grades. a bad student? yes. but a delinquent? no, bc the definition of the word is “someone who tends to commit crime, particularly minor crime”, and as far as I’m aware beating up ppl is a crime, even if they start it and even if they’re bad.

embrace the reality of Kurosaki Ichigo, saviour of all three worlds, being a dumbass teenager who’s face is known to every cop in the area. the responders for 119 calls know Ichigo’s voice by heart, he says “hi” and they just sigh and ask “how many?”.

this is also a kind of continuation to my post about Grimmjow being in shock when seeing Ichigo out of Shinigami robes, bc we all know he likely thinks of Ichigo as a do-gooder and a law-abiding human (derogatory) and so he’s not surprised when he comes to the Human World and fucking everyone from officers to doctors smile at the guy with exclamations of “Oh, it’s Kurosaki!”. he is significantly more surprised when Tatsuki tells him exactly why they react like that. he loves it and Kurosaki gains two points of respect from him, but he’ll never know.
