I was one of those people! Bound by society and its need for the biggest and the best. I spent hundreds, even thousands on designer clothes and bags to keep up with the latest trends. All while neglecting my health. I didn’t think there was a problem because I didn’t need to lose weight. Do I still have those material objects... no I don’t. Do I still have my health... yes! Was I always healthy... No. One of the biggest misconceptions is if you’re skinny you’re healthy. This is not the case. We are all built different. There are larger bodies that are healthy and smaller bodies that are not healthy. I was one of those unhealthy bodies. I spent my money on looking good instead of feeling good from the inside out. I look back now and almost choke at the idea of spending $500 on a pair of shoes. When I can go out for a run for free and feel on top of the world. My priorities changed over many years. It didn’t happen overnight. And it’s still a work in progress.
