It would be neat if they used ‘chirping’ in warriors, because it’s meant to mimic bird sound and lure birds over. Just a cool thing they could teach, maybe mainly a Skyclan thing since they hunt in trees more and they had daylight warriors / Clan members that were previously kittypet if it’s a housecat thing

These are very rough notes at the moment

The questing cats are: Thriftear and Needleclaw from Thunderclan (Needle snuck along), Dovewing from Shadowclan, Icewing from Riverclan, Whistlepaw of Windclan, and Wrenflight of Skyclan.

Whistlepaw feels incredibly guilty about going, as she doesn't want to leave Frostpaw. But, she also feels guilty about the thought of NOT going, as she just went on an adventure with Frostpaw, Shadowsight, and Nightheart.

Beach and Slate are not Sister born, but from Stormclan's leftovers. They're all that remains of the regular cat part of Stormclan. Jury's out on if they're GaleStripe kin, but leaning to yes.

More interactions with those 'zoo' animals. This one's gonna be heartbreaking, not gonna lie.

THE QUEST IS A SECRET. This takes place during 5th book of ASC. Mistystar is dead, Leafstar is dead, Brambleclaw is dead, Tigerstar has been voted out, and Harestar is barely still breathing. The Clans are in turmoil.

The Wildcats have a different naming system, kits are given names based purely on appearance at first, then their names evolve as they grow up.

Minor tweak. The River Of Spirits only shows that all afterlife are connected, but that there have been cats to slip out of the River. No one knows what happens to them, but Stalk Purr has theories!

Whistlepaw is wrestling with a LOT of guilt. She's got a lot of weight on her shoulders, and every choice for her feels like the wrong one.

Needleclaw is coming along out of desire to connect with Thriftear, who's been avoiding her for ages.

Dovewing is stressed out, as her family has just had to take refuge in Thunderclan, and she wants to keep her beloved niece safe.

Icewing is grief stricken but a bit stony bout it, her home having fallen apart with seemingly no way to get better. She is also still grieving over lost family: her mate Mintwhisker, and her lost kits: Grasspelt, Pricklekit and, of course, Beetlewhisker.

Beetlewhisker's fate is up for grabs. He may appear during The Last Hope, he may appear during TBC, or he may FINALLY appear during Beyond The Stars: Moonlight Edition. He may get a similar fate to Bristlefrost, he may not. That is up in the air.

Wrenflight is struggling massively in Skyclan. She's more than happy to represent it, and loves giving her journey buddies fun little Slyclan facts, but she feels like she doesn't fit in with Skyclan. Sure, she had the privilege of being Leafstar's granddaughter through her dad Harrybrook, but her own issues and lack of social skills leave her feeling more like a loner in a big crowd.

As for Thriftear, our book's point of view, she is... A mess. She snaps, she's on edge, she's so, so much like Ivypool and Blossomfall, the way they can be when stressed out. She's put pressure on herself to be a perfect daughter and Thunderclan warrior. Flipclaw left for the Tribe of Falling Snow, Plumstone left for Gullswoop (and then almost got killed for it) and her mothers are struggling with their upset.

They're holding themselves together, trying to move past the grief, but Thriftear is holding in all her feelings until they leak out in firey bursts, usually at the wrong cat.

She snaps at Fuzzyleaf for stepping on her tail, fur bristling as she snarls in his face in the middle of camp...

Because of this, she agrees that maybe, MAYBE, time away from Thunderclan could help her out.

Stormclan's ancestors are indeed reunited with Starclan, which gives Thriftear some hope that a faded spirit could be reformed... But how? She tries to get Needleclaw and Rootspring to connect with the River Of Spirits, and figure out a way to find lost cats.

The book ends on a bittersweet, but hopeful note. Sadly, however, as ASC ends the way it does, it's more a spark in the darkness.

I really do love Warriors but theres too many books and I hate to be That guy but I feel like it should have ended once Slyclan was introduced. Theres TOO MUCH going on and often they replay a lot of the tropes that were originally really interesting to read about but as it went on it just became a whole "oh so its like when x character did y" ya know?

Ahhhhhhhh wjdjfkskaklaxoci I finished Slyclan's Destiny 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

What a fucking roller coaster. Wow. It all makes sense now,, the StarClan leaders joining her for a little while only to remind her that they usually 'don't ever come to these skies.' It was all leading up to the fact that Leafstar was allowed and in fact encouraged to modify the warrior code according to SkyClans StarClan. 'Not all StarClan cats walk the same skies',,,, how scandalous.

ALSO the adorable run in with the little injured twoleg and her backpack!? Never ever thought the cats would work so close with the twolegs. I loved that the kittypets and the gorge cats learned so much from each other and I love the mixing of the daylight warriors, though I was skeptical at first,, I think It's excellent. A great way to recruit precious warriors, and actually know what the twolegs plan to do to the forest.

AND LASTLY MY BABY SHARPCLAW CAME THROUGHHHH. 😭 UGH I KNEW HE WAS A GOOD BOY. LOYAL DEPUTY. TIGERSTAR IS D E A D YALL LET IT GO.
