Ok here is my two cents. Most of their interactions on canon are passive aggressive yes, but there are some moments they get along. And both of them are canonly often faking their true feelings with their smile so who knows what they are feeling deep down. So just stamping down and conclude they dislike each other is just too simple for their complex canon double face personality.

Anw thats creative liberty that fans can take on how they interpret how rusame works. Especially bc hima never shows how they got along in imperial russian era so thats also the base on how fans can imagine how rusame can get along back then. You can read below post if you want.

Ok bro, point taken. Im also just stating my opinion of how fanon can interpret their relationship beside their bickering bc they should have had good relationship back then (tho unfortunately hima never portray explicitly how they got along back then)

Also im not trying to change your mind or anything. I just want to state my opinion that fans who love rusame doesnt necessarily love them bc they love bickering couple. In my case i love the falling out of love trope then later get back together. If historically they have nothing good going on tbh I also wont be this deep in shipping rusame.

@yeet-thin basically we were both referencing to canon but we differ in interpreting how the canon interaction is regarding aph russia and aph america.

You take it at face value bc they often bicker in canon = they dislike each other.

While I take they often bicker in canon + sometimes they got along in canon (playing game together, hanging out at cafe, and have a toast with vodka and coke) = they dont get along most of the time but sometimes they enjoy each others company.

And I take it further with historical facts that they used to get along in imperial russian era = they used to be friends or more, then cold war happened so now they are rival that sometimes hang out together bc they feel nostalgic of their old good memories.

But I digress, to each their own.

Its okay man, I often see people assuming liking rusame = purely liking hate-love relationship, which is something i feel like i need to state my opinion on bc the ship is so much more complex than simple bickering hate-love.

Also you might wanna censor rusame to rus//ame either on body tag and title next time. Your post is shown on tumblr app when you wanna search rusame and thats how I found your post. Just an advice.
