Grindel aka Commander Delta is using the Faux Psychic Elemental to see her future. However it appears timelines have crossed with the appearance of the Slug It Out 2 Psychic Elemental

Is there any sort of fannon (or even better, cannon) timescale for slugterra? Everyone in the 99 seems to have genuinely forgotten what the surface is like, which would take a while. There are irl stories that use constellations that mention stars that don’t exist anymore, stars have died before we forgot. Not to mention the weirdly accurate visuals Gar had of surface cities. So does anyone know when the 99 caverns officially got “cut off” from the surface?

Was it a really really ancient separation that’s only been blurred once the Shane’s went down (or came up??? Idk) hence Gar’s accurate poster visuals? Like the “first Shane” just blabbed cause they didn’t realise that mixing the two worlds could be harmful? And their ancestors have just been eternally doing PR cleanup? Or was it a recent cut off that people have forgotten super fast somehow??

Trixie mentions in 'A Distant Shore' that her mom used to tell her stories about the 'Burning World'

ive always been under the impression that all myths and stories hold some truth to them, but over time the details get exaggerated, lost or changed to fit a given narrative the story teller wants to tell.

so while im not 100% sure about cannon info on the timeline of the Caverns and Surface being separated, I would bet it had something to do with the Terra Portals, Shadow Clan and the Dark Bane.

If the Surface and Slugterra interacted, there would be old text's, but because it's in an old language no one speaks and the art left over would be vague as hell, and there have probably been hundreds of artistic interoperations of what the Burning World might look like over the years, so the illustrations Gar has are probably his, and where most likely influenced by the pictures in Jimmo's journal depending on when he got it.

As for the Shane's, I think there one of a handful of people who know the full truth, and shared the story in full for generations.

this is a personal HC, but-

I think there was a war of some kind involving the people of Slugterra/Surface, the Shadow Clan and Dark Bane, hundreds of years ago, one that separated the Eastern and Western Caverns(Possibly a Northern and Southern Caverns as well), and caused the Terra Portals to become largely inactive for the most part, and in the aftermath the Surface and Caverns where left separated, but before contact was fully cut the Shadow Clan entrusted seiten people with the knowledge of how to get back underground because of what they did during the war to protect Slugterra, the Shane's being one of those families. over the years, more and more families forgot, or died out, leaving the Shane's one of the very few and possibly only ones that take the drop and still protect the Caverns all theses' hundreds of years later

again, pure headcannon with no real evidence

its a crazy rabbit whole to go down, and I would like to hear others thoughts on it from the community!

This is The true story About The Origins of Infurnus and Shane’s ancestor ( Yang’s fiancee)

This story tell about the two flame slugs named Juju and Burpy are two infurnus who live in The Northern carven ( in surface called “Denmark”) in skydning carvern. This slugs is find by The first female slinger, The first Shane, first generation Shane mastering slug fu, Yang’s lover (Junjie’s ancestor), first protector and first all carvern champion and being called “Mother of all slugs” who enter The drop to the Slugterra during in Iron age Denmark.

Ooo, I kinda like that the first Shane was a woman and related to Junjie through Yang. I wonder how Burpy and Juju got separated and ended up in their respective caverns? I always thought the Shanes were Irish, but I love hearing other people's headcanons and theories!

And Eastern Caverns could've had so much more deep lore if they had extended the time Eli spent there. Imagine Eli training under Junjie for months, Eli sharing some of his knowledge of slugs with Junjie and Junjie sharing his, both of them struggling to understand the state the Eastern Caverms were under the Emperor's reign and finding out just how difficult it would be to defeat him etc etc.

And about different Realms in Slugterra...

In my own fanon lore, I have 5 different Cavern Realms, one for each of the cardinal points:

Northern Realm - Unknown

Southern Realm - Unknown

Eastern Realm - Eastern Caverns

Western Realm - The 99 Caverns

Central Realm - Unknown

And of course, with Surface and the Deep Caverns that count goes up to 7 Realms.

I know Trixie said Bullseye Cavern is the middle of all Slugterra, but I headcanon that every single Realm have their center and own Lightwell, all connecting to the true centre of all of Slugterra, residing in the Central Caverns.

Also, for me, the 99 Caverns is the Western Realm because of all the western cowboy vibes and cuz I headcanon Eli is Canadian from Ontario.

I don't think the Deep Caverns would have their own Infurnus as the Dark Bane don't use slugs and have their own powers, so having an Infurnus is unnecessary. (Tho it would be super cool ngl)

the eastern caverns r so important to me in terms of worldbuilding n shit. i LOVE hearing about other caverns. with the knowledge that there’s only one infurnus for each cavern and that desigates the protector just makes me think. bc the deep caverns are a cavern too right? do they have a darkfurnus slinger? how different are all the infurnus’s across the caverns? i wanna know these stupid details So Badly

Are there more snake people like Grindle? And how did they come into existence?

There are quite a few of the naga folk! A full naga is a full snake whilst Grindel is a half-naga, half-human. They live in the European, Pacific and Southern Caverns systems.

However, Grindel is quite special for where she lives. Within the European Caverns (the north-most cavern system), it is against the naga's culture to love another race. With the ongoing war that rages over their homeland between the harenoids and the molenoids, the nagas distanced themselves from the other races as they chose to fight over the cavern rather than help the residents who were being hurt inside it.

Grindel's birth was seen as a sin, a forthcoming of the bad times. Her father was a human travelling merchant who was one of the only who were allowed to trade with the naga folk. He had courted and swoon over Grindel's full naga mother, leading to Grindel's existence. The hybrid was mocked and beaten by the elders of the naga clan, and bullied by the others. This spite all boiled to the execution of the mother once Grindel was in her mid teens. She dared never to set tail back in that village again.

Happy Chinese New Year! 2025 is the year of the snake! And who better to represent it than the snake herself; Grindel? She and her Vieper, Lyre, are pretty sneaky and slippery like the snakes they are.

With the balance of light and dark energy within Slugterra, I thought it'd be befitting for the General of the European Dark Bane's main slugs to reflect that.

Scoria's two main slugs are Angel the White Cupid slug and Barak the ghouled Draco slug (aka a Wyrmco)
