---------------------------------------
Sebek paced the room back and fourth the cheap immitation wood while glancing twords the phone lying directly top of her comforter on the perfectly made bed. Sighing exasperatedly whilst crossing his arms over for a few more impatient seconds while crossing and storming towards his bed and picking up her phone. Shaking it frustratedly like he was choking the device before dropping the rectangle onto his bed. Pointing to it accusationaly while leaning down and getting into its face or rather screen like that was going to do something. Raising his voice as if commanding the machine.
"CALL YOU INSIGNIFICANT HUMAN!"
Silver from across the room let out a scoff at this melodramatic display. That he foud quite ridiculous, almost to the point of being comediac. Lifting his sleepy head a bit better while commenting, quirking a single brow upwards slight while telting his head to the side slightly, his lips pressed into a line. sending a "really" look to the uptight retainer.
"That won't accomplish anything."
Sebek huffed at him, stomping his foot slightly before sending a glare Silver's way. Usually he wouldn't dare to act this was since he considered it to be a tad childish and un-knightly not to mention shamefull to Waka-sama but this was his room and there was no one to judge his strange behavior. Reaching across his bed and grabbing one of the few pillows on his bed. Flinging it hard twords Silver.
"Silence Yourself!'
Silver tilted to the left slightly tiredly and unnecessarily to avoid the rouge pillow that had been thrown twords him quite poorly for sebek considering that it hadnt even been in the general vicinity of her slouched form on a bean bag, instead hitting the wall right next to the tv. Glancing to the tv that was now stable after the brutal attack.
"Your aim was horrid. Perhaps you should go train." He huffed at his reply. Now was not the time to train. The human was late to their scheduled phone call. Making exaggerated gestures while speaking a bit too loudly.
"Now is not the time to train! The human is late."
Humming in thought of course silver just had to comment, he might burst into flames if she didnt, well he may have said er- well thought it was a comment but it was more like a observation. He hated when he was right."You must be quite fond of the prefect to wait this long."
Silver stated sleepily while trying to resist the urge to close his eyes. Though Sebek being the stubborn man he was refused, even as his cheeks were tinted with pink at the mere thought of them. "Of course not. They are nothing but a week human" However Silver just shrugged, lowering his head while Sebek sighed impatiently, turning once more twords her phone. Pressing the power button just once seing the time being 6:43 with his painfully empty notification center directly underneath. Staring emptily at the screen. "You have that look again... What? Daydreaming of walking with them in the forest or somethin?"
Why hasn't they called yet? They aways called by now. Is something wrong? Did something happen? Are they mad? Are they mad at me? What could i have done? Was it something i said? Did i offend them? Did i insultthem? Are they just bored? Are they done with me?
Something in his heart was aching, like someone was squeezing his heart, his brows burrowing together as he attempted to identify this feeling.
"They'll call. Im sure they will."
Sebek nodded reluctantly, forcing himself to turn away from the rectangle she had been awaiting a call from. Maybe he was being overprotective clingy and obnoxious, but it was nice to have someonethat was willing to hear Malleus’s greatness, they listened to him daily listing off the princes superior traits. So he had become a bit expectant...but he really enjoyed their company, though he would dial this back a bit..one call would be ok to miss....
Little did he know of the body laying outside of school in the bushes.
.
.
.
.
It was early the next morning when Sebek awoke, and not his usual awaking at 5am. Groggily turning over as he stirred from his slumber, then the sound of footsteps alerted him of a unwanted presence in his room. Sebek immediately became alert, sitting up in bed. Reaching over to his sheathed sword in the dead of the night. His hand grasped the handle in the sword in a matter of milliseconds, prepared to strike down his foe in seconds before a familiar voice came through the darkness.
"Keep the it sheathed."
He paused at Lilia, wondering what the fae was doing in his room at the ungodly time of two am since the fae had never been in his room without being invited. Especially not when the green haired half fae was sound asleep.
"Lilia-Sama, what are you doing? Did something happen to Waka-sama-"
Lilia shook his head twords the overprotective teen. Quickly cutting off his line of questioning so that this conversation would be limited to 10 minutes instead of a hour.
"No, the headmage called a meeting. I was just here to leave a note to explain it in case Malleus and I had not returned when you had awoken."Sebek was surprisingly aware although he had awoken not a few moments ago. This was unusual, the usual didn't have a meeting until at least 8 am unless it was emergency.
"What is it?"
The Vice warden hesated for a few moments. Internally debating whether or not he should inform sebek of the situation, especially since it had to do with the human he had recently grown to be fond of and he didn't know what was to come. Eventually deciding that sebek was mature enough and that he would figure out anyways and it was best he heard it from a reliable source.
"I am not for certain what is going on, but it involves Grim and prefect."
That was all the confirmation that he needed. Throwing off his comforter, swinging his legs over the edge of his bed. He strode over to to his closet and swung open the doors….taking only a few moments to dress grabbing his phone and keys all within a minuteexit so he may follow close behind...hesitating and looking back at his sword for a moment. Before he swiftly grabbed it before following behind the fae.
Lilia apparently made not objections as they walked through Diasomnia to the mirror the path being cold and dark lacking the comfort it brought during the day….eventually reaching the mirror slipping through it to the other side.
The freezing air of hitting his face as soon as he made his way to the other side appearing in the room everyone used as a meeting room for housewarden. Immediately he was met with the sound of crying, his heart clenching at the context of it all. Taking a step or two closer to the circle of people gathered around something only to see grim. "I miss my hench human! You have to bring them home! Please! They wouldn't leave. Not without telling me! They have been gone for hours. I swear I'll be good. Just bring them back." It was heart-renching to see this usual pridefulcreature litterally sobing heartbroken on the ground Begging. Pleading. For his friend to return.
Riddle stepped in the center next to the creature, clearing his throat, having a attention direct twords him as he raised his voice to make a announcement. "The issue has been made clear. Let us waste no more time. Kalim, Vil, Jade, Trey, Leona, Ortho Lilia cover your dorms. Ruggie, Azul, Jamil, rook, Idia, Sebek Search campus. Any questions? No? Let's move." No on dared ask any questions, this was their prefect. Even if some didn't consider themselves close to the magicless human they at least owed them for all they had done. Sebek ignored everyone else as they scrambled to gather their wits, moving past as he entered the outdoors. Shoving away all his swirling thoughts of what may of happen to his human as he pressed on. Searching through the darkness.
.
.
.
.
The chilly air was in his face making his nose a tad pink. Each and every breath being tainted with condensation making it look like smoke in the frigid air. A distinct crack came from the greenery immediately Sebeks mind went to the worst, his hand flying to his handle, quickly withdrawaling the sword from its sheath. Imaging the worst, huge, magical creature that may have caused you to not return. A snap sound emanated once more as something got closer. Sebek prepared to strike the vile creature where it stood. Only for a tiny squirl to appear from the bushes. Sebek scoffed at himself for having such a immediate reaction only for it to be futile in the end. Taking a few steps closer to the bush to look a bit closer at the creature only for it to scamper away.
Sheathing his sword about to turn away when a small hint of a dark color in the bushes caught his attention. Taking a few steps closer her drew his wand. Casting a simple light spell to reveal what lay within the darkness. A dark red substance splattered on the wall as it dripped from the bushes. The smell of metallic hitting him in the face hard. His eyes widening at the sight and darting all over to take in. Every detail.
Then his eyes landed on your skin that was now purple and red in most areas. Immediately kneeling beside you he frantically removed his jacket draping it over you before gently picking you up. His usually gelled hair now down in its natural form and hanging over his eyes. Your skin was as cold as ice to him as he cradled you in his arms. Running his fingers throughout your hair while muttering desperate apologies. Wishing that he could make it all go away. Tears running down his face as he begged your unconscious body not to forgive him, but just to make it.
"I'm so sorry. I failed human. I failed at protecting you. I don't deserve to be Waka-sama’s retainer. Please please please don't die. Not now. Not due to my foolishness. I don't want your life cut short."

"im not trying to fix you."
~1k words
Jason Todd is broken, but he’s not shattered. He’s picked up the pieces of himself and stitched them back together in a patchwork pattern that seems to mock who he used to be.
Jason Todd is splintered, but he’s making it work, he’s helping, he’s trying to be something greater than himself. (Even if ‘greater’ includes killing and hurting and a million other things he’d never thought he’d do)
Jason Todd is built of fragments of twisted morals and poisoned pits, so why, why do you keep showing up in his life? He doesn’t get it. He’s worked through all the scenarios, all the possibilities, and he still doesn’t have an answer.
You haven’t tried placing any bugs or cameras in his safehouse, haven't gone to the bat to try and take him down. (At least not that he knows of) You haven’t tried talking him out of taking over Gotham, and you haven’t even mentioned all the bodies piling up in his crusade against Black Mask.
He should have confronted you weeks ago. But you keep doing nice things for him. He still hasn’t figured out how you found his safehouse, but you showed up with takeout from his favorite restaurant and just kind of walked in. Really, he had been too stunned to stop you, and you kept showing up.
You always seemed to have a reason to be there, too. Blankets because his safehouse looked bare, food so you could cook dinner for the two of you, random knick knacks to bring color to his dull living room.
He wonders if you're doing it to make him feel guilty, to keep him from kicking you out of his space. As if he would ever.
It’s not until you’re telling him he should get his oven fixed so the next time you make brownies they'll cook better, that he realizes exactly what you’re trying to do.
You’re trying to make him better. He sees it now, he’s your pet project, no, your pity project that you think you can save. He doesn’t know how he could have missed it. Why else would you so freely offer your smiles? Your time? Your energy?
“You can’t fix me,” he grits out, crossing his arms as you set the brownies on the counter.
You look surprised, disbelieving even, as you pull off the oven mitts. (The ones he didn’t have before you started coming over) “What,” you question, meeting his gaze like he hasn’t found you out.
“You can’t fix me,” he repeats, harder and just as mean, “I’m not something you need to try and save.”
“I’m not trying to fix you,” you snap, and the tone of your voice makes him lose his confidence.
He opens his mouth, then closes it again. Oh. It sounds like you really mean that. He didn’t expect the hurt and anger to flicker over your face. And he certainly didn’t expect to see your face wobble.
“Is that why you think I’m here, Jason? Because you think I want to save you,” you ask, venom creeping into your voice.
“Well, yeah,” he mumbles, almost ashamed, but he doesn’t drop his gaze from yours, “There’s no other reason you’d keep coming back.”
That seems to break you, and he nearly regrets bringing up the topic at all. “Is that what you’ve thought of me this whole time,” you breathe out, anger fading.
He shakes his head, “No, I mean– I thought you were working for Batman,” he admits, and winces at how devastated you look.
“Then why did you let me come back,” you demand, and he hates the way your voice chokes at the end.
“I don’t know,” he tells you, voice going quiet, “I guess I just got used to it.” It’s a lie.He knows exactly why he keeps opening his door for you. You're a weakness he’s never outgrown, and one he never will.
You step back, eyes darting to the cooling brownies, “I just missed you,” you mumble, clearly self-conscious, “It wasn’t anything more than that.”
“Oh,” he says dumbly. There really isn’t anything else to say. He’s hurt you, thrown accusations with no basis.
He doesn’t know how to make it better, but a part of him doesn’t think he should. If you never came back, then at least you would be away from his sharp edges and his fractured parts.
The silence stretches between you like a chasm, and suddenly he does want to mend whatever he broke. He can’t help it, not when you look like you don’t know if you want to cry or run or curl into yourself and just fall apart.
He doesn’t have a plan, and maybe he should, because all he manages to do is gesture weakly to the brownies you’ve made, “Think they’re ready to eat?”
You eye him strangely, but he thinks he does succeed in fixing something. At least he hopes he did, because you sat on his lumpy couch and ate the brownies out of the pan at his side. So that has to count for something, right?
He finds it in himself to tell you they’re good, which is harder than it should be for a crime lord, and you offer him a small, unsure smile and ask if he wants to watch a movie. Your smile isn’t as bright as it usually is, but he figures he wouldn’t deserve it if it was.
The rest of the night is quiet, and you fall asleep on his couch just before the credits start to roll. He’s grateful for it. (He thinks if you had walked out after the movie, you wouldn’t have come back)
Jason carefully pulls a blanket over your shoulders, one of the ones you brought him, to shield you from the cold. He makes a note to get a better couch, even if he knows it would be better to not encourage you to come back.
After all, he’s only going to find another way to break your heart. Even when it’s the last thing he wants to do.

OMINIS & SEBASTIAN WITH A BLIND! READER HEADCANNONS
A/N: can be seen as platonic or romantic
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you aren’t as skilled like Ominis, you best hope you had a blind cane. And that cane was Sebastian. Or you did actually have a blind cane.
Ominis could try to teach you if you want. He wishes you could see the same way he can. He will be very happy to teach you dear
You three holding hands. It’s just funny because Ominis can see for himself while you can’t really so Sebastian suggested this
If someone dared to take away your walking cane. Sebastian is literally going feral as Ominis just holds your hand while Sebastian handles the situation “well”
Sebastian or Ominis reading to you during study hall
Ominis tries to help you use your wand to navigate in the dorms as Sebastian just watched from the beds
Let’s say you accidentally fell down the stairs. Well lets just say the boys got so over protective that Sebastian suggested to piggy back you for the rest of the year
It was absolutely embarrassing and Ominis didn’t say a damn thing
Sebastian probably gets a hufflepuff to make you guys bracelets to show how powerful your friendship is. “Friendship is magic!” havin ahh 😭
When you guys cuddle, you are in the middle just being wrapped around by the boys arms
Two golden retrievers + one black cat. And you already know who is who 🫶🏾
Sometimes Sebastian is the best to the two of you. Like he is always giving good descriptions on what is happening. He likes seeing you smile at your own imagination. So he describes your smile towards Ominis who also smiles at the thought of you smiling.

i'm suddenly thinking about rockstar!eddie shooting a music video on some naval ship and meeting actual sailor!steve who's all dressed up in his whites 'cause eddie's a big name star and the captain said everyone had to look their best and eddie immediately folding for the pretty guy in uniform
just: eddie wanting a couple of the guys to act in the video 'cause hopefully then they'd actually know what they're doing, and asking the capt to point out his most competent sailor. the capt immediately points out one of his low-ranking ensigns (like, brand new baby officer 'cause that's the kinda shit an officer would pull) and eddie, having been raised by wayne (who i'm hc-ing as a navy vet) knows better and is immediately like "No sir, I said your most competent, not your least. someone point me to THE second class. Where's he? I need an enlisted guy." and a higher-ranking chief that's been following the band around the ship all day bellows out a laugh and says "You're gonna want Harrington, Mr. Munson."
idk idk, it's niche but for some reason my mind went into the cold clammy depths of my time in the navy this morning and i was like 'NOPE! don't wanna dwell here, make it fun! make it about the blorbos so you dont get sad!!' lmao

CHAPTER 21
Bergamot.
He smells like fresh dirt and home and bergamot.
A pair of arms cocoon around you, holding you in place. Cradling the back of your head, lifting it from touching the ground, is a strong palm.
Sounds of the outside world are muffled; distant.
Here all you can hear is the wild thumping of your heart, your blood strongly coursing through your veins.
I am alive.
I am alive.
I am alive.
The crash happened so fast—
Falling from the sky. Sliding across the forest floor. Rolling over and over and over—
Until your body stopped abruptly against a cushion of muscle.
When the dust cloud settles, when the fog fades into vapor, you open your eyes.
Shades of deep, vertical brown overtake your vision. It's so vibrant, familiar yet new. For what feels like hours you stare at a small bug, a speckled ladybug, crawling in circles until it decides to head north.
With each passing exhale your attention travels with it — up, up, up — when causation connects:
One of the mighty tree trunks of the forest broke this violent fall.
(But not just for you — he was the one to take the brunt of the damage.)
He...
When your lips part, your mouth is dry.
Constricted, confused lungs try for their very first breath.
Inhale.
Breathe.
Stay with me.
But that isn't your voice; not in your mind's eye.
Blurry images flash along your vision, sprinkling red, black, and silver against the brush and trees of the forest.
No matter how many times you blink, squeeze, tear up, the visuals scatter like materialized pins and needles.
They won't go away. They clip to your peripheral, forcing you to confront what's ahead.
Nothing is linear. Nothing is clear.
Nausea, relief, uncertainty, rage — these emotions assault your senses. Emotions. Mind.
It’s like waking up after a horrible dream.
One you’ve been kicking and screaming to leave the minute it started.
Let me out.
The freefall plays over and over, a never-ending loop of sickening weightlessness, without a means to jolt yourself awake.
Let me out, let me out, let me—
Something mirrors your heart beat and fractures in its own rhythm, pounding erratically against your chest.
Your heart still beats, but not as panicked — not as heavy — as this.
As... his.
Him — the one who broke your fall.
(Levi.)
Without thinking, your trembling hand rises past his ribcage, up his arm, to his fingers resting on your trembling shoulder.
Then you realize it isn't your body that's shaking.
It's Levi's.
Quivering like a leaf, gasping for breath as if he’s run a marathon.
He doesn’t move. He’s frozen in time, right where you left him.
(I’m sorry.)
Over and over, you replay precious seconds in the back of your mind — fractured memories you’ve only just begun to uncover.
Falling.
Darkness.
(James? James, shit, wake up—)
A voice crack.
Hopelessness.
Instinctively your arms surround him, as if dissolving him into your very pores will somehow help with the confusion in your gut.
Even when your fingers raise hire on your shoulder to glide along his, he doesn’t relax.
If anything, his ivory muscles forge into steel.
Prepared, like you’re the enemy.
They do not soften when your fingers curl, timid and experimental, around his hand for reassurance.
(Wake up.)
They do not yield when you exhale, slow and steady.
They do not rest when you squeeze, as if to offer a sign of life.
(Please, James, don’t do this to—)
“Levi.”
Two syllables — you murmur his very name, realizing the severity of all that you’ve missed.
The dampness of the Underground City right above your heads;
The heat of the sun on a riverbank of the surface;
The light of the morning, just outside an open window, glittering over a bare shoulder;
All puzzle pieces, scattered across a large table.
They fit together in a way — you just need to figure out where.
When you inch your face away from his body, you see it: those blue-gray eyes, pupils dilated and whites wide, staring straight through you.
(As though lost in another time, in the same nothingness you’d lost yourself in for months.)
His chest heaves in and out, trying to catch a breath that just won’t come.
Wretched, heavy gasps contain the fear.
The panic.
All while reliving, too.
“Levi?” you ask once more, softer this time.
A sharp battle cry sounds above your heads. You glance high to witness the silhouette of Petra flying through the canopy of trees with a trail of steam behind her, swords extended.
The titan has been defeated.
The forest floor quakes and shivers with its demise.
Except that isn’t how the mission happened last time.
The realization is a chilling thought creeping, infecting, the back of your mind as you return your attention to the captain in front of you.
“Levi.”
You urge firmer this time, but it’s no use.
Levi Ackerman continues to stare ahead, but he blinks. Rapid fire, as if trying to return to his body.
This face.
You gravitate towards this face that consumes every waking dream you’ve ever had.
Caging his face between your palms, you finally snap with a command.
“Levi, look at me.”
His gray eyes shoot down, catching yours, and your entire world feels warm again.
The light in a never-ending darkness.
Your past is your present and your present tumbles into your past.
An undiscovered constellation of points in your memory that haven’t quite lined up yet, but him…
All you know is that you have missed him, this incorrigible man, lying beside you.
And all this time, it is Levi Ackerman that holds the frame of the puzzle you have been trying to solve.
Instinctively your thumbs run along his cheekbones, causing his eyes to grow impossibly wider.
Unwise, perhaps, but the softened motion brings you comfort unlike anything else, tethering bits and pieces together in the mind by touch alone.
Bits and pieces, to bigger pictures —
You — a nobody from the Underground City, meant to die by the hands of greed and saved by ones of promise.
You — a formidable fighter, a friend, a colleague, a lover.
You — Lieutenant James, member of the Special Operations squad in the Survey Corps.
Maybe you don’t have the whole story yet, but whoever she is… whoever you are…
She’s supposed to be right here.
Levi’s eyes flutter over your face as if to search for injury or damage, but he doesn’t remove his arms from your body. The captain continues to cradle you as if you'll disappear, dissolve, into the mist that swallows your very waking daydreams.
So you lean closer, murmuring just under your breath with pure wonder.
Recognition.
“I know you.”
‘You know me.’
You recall standing right in front of him months ago, begging in a stable.
Those fateful few months before you really knew how close you were to the truth.
'You know me, but you won’t help me. Why?’
That doubt on his face, deeply ingrained in curbed expectations.
It's a memory you haven’t been able to shake, not since you awoke from the hospital.
Now it twists into something much darker.
‘Because you finally have an out.’
Profound sadness infects your stomach when one jagged edge aligns with another.
The memory, fresh as morning dew on a weed, sprouts before your very eyes.
Yes, you do know him.
Yes, he wouldn’t help you.
Because you’ve been down this road before.
But not like this.
Not wrapped up like two star crossed lovers.
(That’s why you hate me.)
— suddenly your back meets the ground.
A pair of hands abruptly push you, knocking you down to the forest floor with a whoosh of a small oof from your lungs.
Your eyes connect with the bright blue sky, the twinkling of green leaves, the expanse of a bird's wing flying high above.
I know this place.
Why can't you say it out loud?
In a hasty cloud of dust, Levi's boots keep up dirt as he scrambles off of you.
To steady himself, his pale palm presses to the tree trunk. He heaves once, twice, before exhaling fully.
Breath finally returns to his body. What once was pale now has color.
When you eventually turn your gaze to him, he glares directly at you, but it isn’t cruel.
Feral, maybe, and diluted in his own confusion, but not cruel.
(You’d never witnessed someone so beautiful in your life.)
In a new light, you finally see him — a mirror image of two worlds, old and new. Of what your body misses to its very core. Of what your mind wants to remember, to know as intimately as it once did.
Slowly you roll to your belly and push up with your arms. You draw up on one knee, your hand instinctively raising to graze your neck.
There.
The silver pendant, tiny and profound, remains intact.
The fall didn’t destroy it.
Immense relief floods your system, and your fingers cradle it like a lifeline.
'You don’t own anything. Now you do.'
That melodic baritone guides your ghost of a hand, adhering one more piece to the puzzle.
A fuller frame.
All you want to do is run to him, speak to him, hear his voice, but all you can do is watch as he cycles through the motions of getting his shit together.
Struggling through stages of anger, betrayal, relief, and longing —
Before addressing you as Captain Levi would.
Because he doesn’t know.
He didn’t hear.
(You didn't say.)
“Are you out of your mind?”
An ironic question, all things considered.
Your lips part to answer, but his finger raises to warn against that judgment.
A curtain of dark fringe hangs over his eyes, shoulders heaving.
“Direct insubordination against your superior,” he spits, but the edge to his voice is frayed.
He’s barely hanging on by mere threads. You want to knit them back together so badly.
“And endangering the entire squad–”
“Levi—"
“Oluo would have been fine, but you? You weren’t ready.”
Standing on both feet now, you ignore the dirt and debris on your white uniform and take a step forward in earnest.
“Levi, if you would just—”
“I didn’t ask you to speak, James.”
His bark is as cold as ice, causing you to stop your pleas right in their tracks.
Your own wide eyes stare at him as he reprimands you, seemingly unhinged by what has transpired.
Your mouth shuts into a thin line, willing yourself to hear him out.
To hear him.
Piece by piece, the image fills—
“Commander Erwin was wrong to put you back in the Scouts," Levi growls. It’s spoken as if to convince himself of that very truth. “Abandoning your horse, defying my orders, acting without any regard for your fellow squad mates—”
He seethes, a flicker of rage fluttering across his face.
“—the recklessness of your actions could have cost not only your life, but the lives of my squad.”
“Our squad,” you correct boldly without realizing you’ve said the words out loud.
Wrong answer. His anger only grows.
“My,” he corrects viciously, “squad. You are a—”
“—Lieutenant, which is practically the same rank as you,” you blurt with your own anger, the adrenaline flushed through your veins as newfound familiarity seeps into your veins. "The titles don't mean anything. It's just shit made up for people like us."
“Excuse me?” he growls, and you don’t let up.
“And I know Commander Erwin has always favored you more, but you only pull ahead of me by two goddamn months in the Scout Regiment,” you desperately rasp, the excitement too great, “so shut the hell up and listen to me, Levi Ackerman, because I know you.”
Exhaling your frustrations in heavy heaps, you refuse to cower.
There is no reason to fear this man. There never was.
"I know you," you repeat, defeated.
As if you've confessed at the foot of his altar.
Levi, despite all of his anger, turns his chin sideways with a growing bewilderment.
Now that you speak, you can see the dots connecting behind his very eyes.
All you can do is hope — all you have is hope.
When he doesn't say anything, you step forward and continue.
"This whole time. This entire time you've tried... you tried to shut me out because you knew that if you did, I'd walk away."
"What?" Finally, he speaks, but his voice drops with caution.
"You said you wouldn't shut me out."
"And I didn't."
"But you wanted to give me an out, right?" you remind. "That's what you told me the day in the stables at the cadet camp."
His teeth grit. "I told you—"
"That day, you agreed to give me a second chance, but you hoped I'd get too scared in the forest and run the other way. Except I've seen things and—"
That grit dies instantly. "Wait, seen things?"
"Yes, I've seen pieces, Levi," you admit. "Pieces."
"Of—?"
"Us. Of my life." Your fire dies. "Of our life."
His jaw clenches so hard that his teeth could shatter.
Your shoulders drop, defenseless. Your hand touches the back of your head, trying to feel for where you might have hit it on the ground back then.
"You ran from me in that hospital in Trost when I woke up. You saw I couldn't remember you right away, so you thought..."
A small laugh of relief exits your mouth before you can stop it.
There are so many black spots in your mind's eye, but…
His face paves the way.
Four hearts, staring up at a skyless night; now only two remain.
"Damn it, you really thought I would never remember you when you were my entire life."
Falling.
All you’ve ever done is fall.
On your back, as a child in those fighting rings in the Underground City.
On your side, struggling to learn the inner workings of stolen ODM gear while a rambunctious boy with ash-blonde hair laughs to the sky.
On your front, when two strong arms pulled you on top of him, lips crashed to yours.
Yet Levi always held out his hand and picked you up.
Now his fists are translucent, tight at his sides, as your eyes meet.
“And so you pushed me around in hopes that I'd leave you here," you conclude sadly, "all while you blamed yourself for the rest of your days for my mistake — right?”
It’s as if you’ve confessed you’re a titan in the flesh.
Levi staggers back, the clink of his ODM gear rattling as he moves.
His eyes flutter all over your face, studying, searching—
“What the hell are you saying?” the captain croaks, unlike himself.
He stares, clearly waiting for the final blow, like you hold his entire life in the palm of your hand.
Oluo and Petra are somewhere.
And wherever they are means Gunther and Eld are likely not far behind.
They’ll approach at any moment to regroup with the Captain.
But you need him to understand—
Levi's jaws clenches again; an overwhelming flurry of emotion settling on his tongue.
He looks two seconds away from detonating.
"What did you remember?" his voice cracks, the facade shattering. "Just say it, damn it, what the fuck did you remem—"
“James!”
The panicked voice of Oluo shouts from the sky.
Petra follows not long after, attaching to the base of the tree trunks to softly find a landing on her feet.
The rest of the squad follow suit, eyes wide.
“Whoa, are you alright?” Oluo repeats, rushing forward. “The hell just happened out there?”
“Her gear got caught,” Petra replies with equal urgency. “I saw it when Captain Levi took off after you two.”
“Her gear?!” Oluo yelps.
The two of them rush over while their hands reach out, swiping your emerald cloak up and away.
They duck their attention to the gear to assess the damage.
The ODM canisters don’t look particularly busted, but the wire dangles helplessly without its spike.
You note just how nervous everyone looks.
Because everyone knows the story, you realize deep in your belly.
The story where a member of the Levi Squad fought titans and got her gear stuck, resulting in a catastrophic head injury where her memories were no more.
The one where they nearly lost one of their elite, only to result in that woman becoming a completely blank slate.
Someone that they'll never get back.
Except she's screaming in your head, slamming against your skull.
I'm here! I'm here, don't you see? I'm still here!
Eld and Gunther quickly descend next, their feet pattering with the quickness towards where you stand.
The squad surrounds you with a million questions, checking your head should there be damage.
Petra even places a gentle hand on your heart, but it’s hammering.
Alive.
Levi says nothing, does nothing; his chin ducks to his emerald collar, allowing his squad to have their time.
“You scared the shit out of us,” Gunther admits with a sigh.
“The hell were you thinking?” Eld adds.
You sheepishly shake your head, eyes still attached to Levi. “I-I wasn’t—”
“I had it, James,” Oluo counters, cutting you off. “I had that titan. You didn’t need to go back for me and almost risk your damn life.”
“Hate to say it, but I agree with Oluo,” Petra replies with a soft sigh, before pulling you in for a small hug. Your arms remain lamely at your sides. “You didn't need to prove you were badass to us, alright? We know." She lets go. "How did you cut yourself loose?”
“She didn’t.”
Levi’s voice breaks through, stopping everyone in their tracks.
He turns on a heel away from the squad, head remaining in a bow, and walks in the direction they'd arrived from.
“I caught her.”
You note the changes in expressions on the rest of the squad's faces.
Recognition smooths over their tired lines, like the significance isn’t lost on them.
Suddenly they duck their chins, too, as if ashamed for gossiping.
Only you remain with your head up, eyes square on the captain.
He does not look your way.
“Outing’s over. We’ll just have to break Four Eyes’ heart and tell them we didn’t capture any of those bastards today.”
“But we didn’t even make it halfway through,” Eld starts, turning his boot towards the captain with surprise. “We can go further.”
"Wait, we managed to clear the forest?" you ask without thinking, causing Eld and Oluo to glance your way.
Oluo’s eyebrows slide high to his hairline.
Eld’s narrow to a point.
“It… was,” Eld slowly, carefully, explains, “but the mission you — the one that you — Wait.”
"People still made it to the other side after I fell?" you exhale.
They made it.
The Scouts managed to push to the end of the forest.
The mission wasn't all for nothing.
A flurry of confused relief floods your system, yet the squad looks at you with pure confusion.
“...none of us told her about the forest debrief from last year yet, did we?” Oluo inquires, pointing to Petra. “Hey, did you snitch?”
“Huh? Snitch?!” Petra yelps. “What the hell would I snitch about? It’s not like it's a secret to anyone here what went down.”
“Yeah, but she didn’t make it long enough to see the end of it,” Gunther replies, rubbing his chin between his thumb and index finger. “And we all agreed not to bring up said mission when she woke up until she was cleared by that doctor guy she saved.”
“Doctor?” you blurt under your breath, blinking. "That I...?"
That you saved…
Albeit foggy, you remember the other team that fateful day.
Miro squad.
There were so many names, so much chaos…
You struggle to remember the finer details, but there was someone named Rini.
An older man — or did he just look weatherworn from war?
Was it the same man from Trost?
“Wait. James.” Petra rounds you, searching your face with budding excitement. “Do you remember the last mission you were on? Is that why you’re—”
“I said the outing’s over.”
Levi's command bites off her question, and Petra falters.
“I already have one shithead disobeying instructions. Is this going to become a trend?”
The squad goes silent, turning to their captain.
“Get the damn horses back,” the captain growls. “We’ll reconvene as a group back at headquarters. That’s an order.”
“Yes, sir,” they all respond in unison.
One after the other, they offer a look of condolences to you before ascending to the skies.
Leaving Levi and yourself to remain.
In the back of your mind, you remember the odds.
Forty to eighty.
The screams of terror.
The urgency to fly through the trees.
A formation of horses…
A corner of the puzzle is complete.
Help me.
Why won’t you help me?
“Levi?” you start, and you see his face flinch at your tone. “Can we talk?”
“Not here,” he replies curtly.
“But—”
“I said not here,” he grunts, turning his chin to regard you over his shoulder. “I’m not doing this here.”
When his eyes meet yours, they soften.
Apologetic.
As if he’s teetering on the brink of giving up completely.
“Go back to your quarters,” he urges. “Clear your head. Figure out if…”
Did his voice just crack again?
You can’t help but gravitate towards his orbit, boots gently stepping closer.
“...figure out if you mean it,” he finishes, stronger now. “If you really do remember — any of this. We'll reconvene and debrief back at headquarters, but I told you: I'm not feeding you our memories. If you think you know me, then say it with your whole damn chest and hold nothing back."
His chin drops, his black fringe falling over his eyes.
You can't see what he's thinking, how he's feeling, but the way his voice turns to a whisper breaks your heart.
"I can’t keep up with these false hopes anymore.”
The necklace on your sternum burns.
Although you have a million questions, a thousand apologies, a dozen pleas, and very few certainties, you say one thing in return.
"Yes, sir."
You both stand in silence, awaiting the horses.
He stares at the ground.
You continue staring at him.
I know you.
You're the only certainty I have.
Once the rest of the squad arrives, you mount your horse and keep formation.
The sun bursts free.
There are no more trees clouding your vision.
Ahead there is an expanse of grass, reclaimed by time.
(A new start.)
Levi Squad returns to headquarters without a casualty in tow.

After a shower and dinner they fell onto their bed like a rock, quickly asleep, bringing themself into the land of dreams.
The dream was like any other dream, beautiful view of a forest, sunset in the distance, that stuff. Yuu took a breath, relaxing after the day of school and work, they start walking around the forest, before stoping by a lake.
"Hm..." they don't know why but they alyways know they in a dream, no matter how realist it is, there just a feeling that this is a dream after few seconds they heard a sound "footsteps...?" Yuu mutter as they turn to the sound, meeting their eyes with a pair of beautiful light purple eyes and blue of a sliver hair boy
"Oh, hello..." the boy spoke up after he notice "uhhh Hi?" They answer and an awakward silence came after "Soo what's your name?" they asked "Sliver, and your name?" he repiled "Yuu." Another silence went after that.
Yeah, and that was their first meeting but few more went after that, and they keep getting close to eachother, everyday Yuu couldn't wait to see their freind
"Hey Sliver?" Yuu said as they were making a flower crown "Yes?" He respoded "Do you think we will meet in reality...?" Yuu stoped making the flower crown "...well, it would be nice" he answer smiling slightly "yeah, actually yeah" Yuu smile under their breath, before putting the flower crown on his head
After saying goodbye to eachother, Yuu woke up, still begin tried but unfortunately as every other normal teen they have a life, so they roll out of the bed hitting the floor
"Ughshsigsjs" they groan, before getting up and dressing up, eating, yall know, morning stuff before finally stepping out of the building, sighing
"Huh?" Suddenly Yuu heard like horse running with something "what the--" they turn around, seeing a strange horse with dark purple skin, and a carriage before fainting.
Tumblr media
Well, it been few weeks for Yuu, they kind of got kidnapped into a whole different world, called Twisted Wonderland, met grim, their now cat, just don't tell him they called him that, also few people, like Ace, Deuce, Cater, Trey and Riddle, oh and a very annoying headmaster that they need to do errands for, why? So they get money and can live in some ruin down dorm
Actually they doing one right now, they need to find Riddle and give him some papers, you know, housewarden work, Girm stayed back, as they mutter to themself, they bump into someone...
"Ah!" They fell down to the ground since they were walking a bit fast "I'm sorry, didn't watch where I was going..." they said as they sat up, the person held out their hand and Yuu took it "is okay...and I'm sorry, but have we met before?" they frozen hearing the vocie they knew form somewhere, quickly looking up meeting the light purple and blue eyes they knew so well.
"Sliver?" They asked making the boy eyes go widened slightly "Yuu?"

Hey! Hope I’m requesting in the right place! If not please let me know and I’ll rectify that.
Could I request some Hunter on Pabu please? Something domestic and fluffy for the galaxy’s greatest Dad? I’d love to see him sitting outside during dusk trying to relax after a long day, only to be interrupted by something or someone loud…
I leave the rest up to you 😉 Also totally happy for it to be x reader or not, whatever you want to do. I hope that gives you enough to go off.
As a side note, thanks for doing requests. It boggles my mind how amazing it is that people write for each other. I love this part of the fandom 🩵
Moment of Peace
Hunter x Reader
Summary- Hunter relaxes after a hard work day on Pabu, only to be interrupted by Gonky and reader. Fluff ensues!
A/N- Thank you so much for requesting! I'm so happy to be able to fulfill your request, you are AMAZING! I wish I was able to make it longer, but I didn't know what else to write!
Word Count- 1,259
Tumblr media
His view over Pabu was a sight he hoped to never forget.
Hunter looked out to the ocean, feeling an unfamiliar tinge of peace. Calm was a luxury, silence was strange, and rest was foreign. The thought almost made him uneasy.
Almost.
Hunter stretched his arms over his head, shirt slightly rising with his stomach peaking out. With a content sigh, he relaxed further into his chair. His eyes threatened to close on him, possibly from his long day.
He wouldn't have minded, he had all the time in the world now.
It was hard to believe for him, it took hours of convincing from you. To prove to him he deserved this. That he deserved this feeling of peace. The countless times you held his hand, cradled his head, or soothed him with your words.
After dedicating half his life to the Empire- the other running from them- he needed a break. It was beyond deserved.
You certainly thought so.
In any moment of doubt, your words echoed in his head. "The things you have risked for Omega alone, that is enough to earn your place."
With a smile he let his mind fade, and eyes rest.
While he was no longer fending for his life everyday, everyone still had to play their part on Pabu.
For a man of Hunters skill set, he was extremely useful. This typically led to many citizens coming to him for help on repairs, transportation, fishing, and harvesting.
Hunter had never complained once, simply grateful for the new life he had been given with you. That being said, he still had select days.
The seemingly never ending waves of heat and questioning, it was all worth it to come home to you. Not to mention the relief his muscles feel when he settles into his favorite chair on the porch.
He wasn't sure how much time had passed since he began his nap, but when his eyes opened the sun was almost finished setting.
His arm hair was standing, heightened senses on edge. Something was about to happen, he could tell.
Eyes shooting back and forth across the horizon, then head turning to look beside him.
Breath quickened when he saw nothing was out of order, but his mind wandered to you,
You were inside, alone. Had something happened?
He was on his feet, but before he could open the door to his home- he heard a loud crash and a yelp.
He knew your voice immediately, it only drove him to slam the door open, running in. He didn't know what to expect, but he was ready to fight whoever he needed to.
Confusion flushed over him when he heard you laugh. Though, he didn't let himself settle until he saw you.
His feet moved as fast as his body would let them, coming to a brief halt when he was greeted by you in the living room.
A beeping and chirping noise also followed, almost like a greeting.
You were on your back, having fell on the floor. The cause of the crash and noise was Gonky, rested on top of you.
"Hunter! Oh, my savior!" You managed out, having a fit of giggles.
Gonky wobbled, unable to get up.
"What happened?" Hunter spoke, rushing to pull the power droid off of you.
It was easy for him to lift the unit and place him on his feet. Though, he was more worried about you, even in your laughter he stressed.
Now crouched down at your side, you answered him. "I forgot Wrecker had dropped Gonky off. When I came in to watch that new holofilm, he scared me!"
He fitted him hands under your arms to pull you up as well. You were aware that you could have stood on your own, but you let Hunter do as he pleased. It was another way he could make sure you were unharmed.
"How did you end up on the floor?" He looked you over, once you were clear of scrapes and blood- he followed you to the couch.
You heard the urgency in his voice, it was one your hadn't heard since your time on the run. "Hunter, I'm okay. Really, I just tripped over Gonky when I turned into the room."
He nodded, not looking so stiff anymore. "Are you okay?" You asked him.
"Yeah, yeah."
"Hunter." You gave him hard eyes, knowing you weren't getting the full truth.
He sighed, "My senses just... I guess I haven't felt them that extreme in a while."
It was daily that he still felt his heightened senses, they still came in handy. Altering him where to fish, or if a stray ball flew his way from children playing. Not to mention Wrecker and Crosshairs antics.
Of course he had a downside to them, always had. Everything was amplified, it was difficult sometimes. Though, the worst of it was when he felt the way he did a few minutes ago.
When it was about you or Omega, it felt different. More urgent, almost painful.
"Hey, its okay. I'm here." You lifted a hand to hold his tatted cheek, you smiled up at him. Gonky beeped over at the commotion.
"I think he's trying to say 'sorry'." You tried to lighten the mood.
It worked well enough, as Hunter cracked a smile. He even reached over to place a pat on top of Gonky's box. Just before he lounged fully back on the couch.
"Wrecker said someone needed to watch Gonky while he was on his fishing trip." You explained, leaning into Hunters side.
"I still can't believe he agreed to a week long boat trip." Hunter started.
"I'll give it a few hours, he'll be back tonight to get Gonky, I bet."
He put his hand up, "I say two days."
"You have a deal, Wrecker will never last that long." You grasped his hand in a shake.
A few moments of calm silence went by, "What does the winner get?" You proposed.
Hunter hummed. When you looked up at him you saw his eyes closed.
"The winner of the bet?" He looked at you, but you could see the heaviness slowly reappearing in his eyes. He was trying to listen, but now the adrenaline was gone. His exhaustion was coming back.
"How about the loser has to clean Gonky." He teased, slowly closing his eyes again.
You simply cuddled up to his side, wrapping an arm across his stomach. He responded with a gentle hand to your back.
"That's too easy."
"With Wrecker watching."
"Well, that's not fair! It'll take hours, Wrecker is so picky when it comes to Gonky." You light heatedly argued.
He smiled, chest rising in a deep laugh. "Then you better hope he comes back in a few hours."
You gave in, a competitive grin rested on your face.
Gonky beeped again, shuffling to a corner to rest himself.
Peaking up once more, you saw Hunter still fighting sleep. You leaned up, placing a kiss to his cheek. "Good night, Hunter."
He mumbled something in return, you assumed it was along the lines of 'I love you.'
You would both be proven wrong when Wrecker would complete his week long trip, braving the waters. His reasoning? He didn't have to bathe...
As gross as you thought it was, you and Hunter decided you were both losers. Keeping up your end of the deal, you both washed Gonky. Months of caked up dirt took almost all day to get off. Although, you couldn't have picked a better helper.
A/N- Thank you for reading!!! Please let me know of any typos or constructive criticism!

sliver of time | 1k | post apocalyptic, minor character death | soonyoung x reader, side seungcheol x reader
for a sliver of time, you had the disillusioned assumption that love would always be the answer. that it would be there, in every corner and in every second of every day, haunting your life, creeping up in dark corners, possessing you on a sleepless night. and it does that–or, at least, it had–for many, many years that have all since slipped away into something akin to a dream. at 9 years old, you had your first crush, mingyu. brown hair, brown eyes, big arms, small head. at 17, you fall in love, seungcheol, a senior, butterflies, insecurities. and at 19, a decade later, you lay up at night, on your side, asking yourself what was real, if anything, screaming for something to hold, crying for something to matter, and begging for love to reappear like an old friend, hand in hand, a center, sturdy, yours.
but when, at 20, the world turns belly side up, lips parted to swallow you and everything you’ve ever called yours whole, love doesn’t extend its hand out to you, nor does it hold you near and dear. instead, it retreats to a dark corner of your mind and whispers, fuck you.
so, maybe love isn’t always the way. the world goes up in flames and you decide to take what you used to know of it and bend it to fit what is.
you’re 22 now. you meet soonyoung. you think you see love, tousled between his locks of hair, wedged into his backpack filled with shit you would have thrown out a year ago–receipts, cards, pictures. a tear falls from your eye. he asks if you’re okay. you blink and the love you thought you saw withers away. there’s blood on his chin. a gun in his hand.
“do you ever feel like you can see shit that doesn’t exist?”
he doesn’t flinch at your question; he laughs. “yeah, like, every time i look in the mirror.”
you can’t tell if he means that he shouldn’t exist or that he doesn’t want to. you don’t find out. instead, he asks where you’re going. “west.”
“what’s west?”
“the sea.”
he laughs again. in the back of your mind, you think that he laughs too much. say what you fucking think, you want to scream. “what?”
he shrugs. “i expected something different.”
“like what?”
“like safety.”
you don’t say anything. safety was the second thing to retreat when the world changed. the fifth thing you bent out of shape to fit the world as it is. the ‘y’ turned upside down, the ‘s’ and ‘t’ pushed away, the rest rearranged and twisted. safety became fear, which fit better at the time. it kept you awake, alive. fear you decided to save; safety you threw away forever by day three.
you cock your gun. “what about you?”
he pulls one of those washed up pictures from his back pocket. “looking for a friend.” you peer over at it, piecing together a face from the faded spots and red splotches. and it hits you all at once, painless but still like a goddamn fucking train. butterflies and insecurities. butterflies and insecurities. a memory resurfaces–a fast press of lips, a smile, the slam of a door shut in your face, a scream, yours or his–you’re still not sure, but what does it fucking matter compared to the flood of blood that runs in through the gap undearneath, pools at your feet, and bleeds all the way through your sneakers. no, you can’t bend this memory out of the world no matter how fiercely you’ve tried to. there’s no rearrangement of anything that can make you forget the feeling of washing his blood off your feet.
you bore into a picture of your first love and fight the urge to vomit.
soonyoung sounds like a kid, hopeful and stupid, when he asks, “do you know him?”
you swore an oath to honesty in third grade. you meant it. you didn’t lie to your parents. you never lied to your friends. even now, post the world of before and right in the middle of the one you’ve made fit, when it would have been the kinder thing to do, you don’t lie to yourself. so you’re not really sure why you look up at the boy, and shake your head. “never seen him.”
he cocks his head to the side. “really?” and there’s something in the way he says it, the lilt in his voice or the twitch of his hand, that makes you think he knows more than he’s letting on. he hands you a letter, sealed. you stare at seungcheol’s handwriting on the face of it, straight and short, your name spelled out, the first time you’ve seen it written in years. “cause he told me to give you this.” the words escape you, running past your throat, wedging themselves into the lining of your stomach. the paper suddenly turns flimsy in your hands, slick with some substance. soonyoung pulls it away from under your eyes. he puts his hands on your shoulders, looks you straight in the eyes and says, “he didn’t die that day.” you ignore the words, snatching the letter back and unfolding the flaps of paper. and there, like some kind of impractical joke, seungcheol has written: maybe love isn’t always the way, but i’d still take your lips any day. soonyoung’s voice breaks. “he died yesterday.”
you look up again at him. there it is. you know it so well. love was there. it existed. but it’s since packed up it’s shit and left. love does that. disappears in the middle of it. you cup soonyoung’s cheek in your hand, inching just barely towards him. you nod at the blood on his chin. “is that his?” he doesn’t respond, but he does nod. so you block the tears streaming down his face and press your lips against the stain.

Platonic sliver trio (duo) headcannons && imagines
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just random chaos. Literally, Ominis is wondering why you and Sebastian are having the “zoomies” in the common room.
Protective boys, doesn’t matter if you are in danger or not. They are there. 🤷🏾
You sliver trio, are just like the golden trio. Just a little bit older years ago though.
Ominis definitely drags you away from Sebastian if there is a dangerous quest. Ominis is sure to not love it down knowing you got hurt because of the sallow’s recklessness. Sebastian indeed a gets an earful while you just stand like a “good” child behind him.
Relaxing in the common room after classes is something they find you doing. So now they go with you to the common room. You three stick together just fine.
When you’re not with them, Sebastian and Ominis do this thing where they bet on where you are at. If Ominis is correct, he gets to hang out with you. Practically sleeping together is hanging out? Now if Sebastian wins, he takes you out for some honeydukes sweets and maybe go on another adventure.
Imagine you got injured only a little during an adventure, Sebastian is immediately helping you up. Finishing the cause of the injury towards you if they are a person or thing. He’s making sure you are okay while you try to tell him it’s only a small injury. Hoping Ominis will be the much more civil and calm one.
Nope he is not. He’s now panicking because of Sebastian SINCE he overreacted and made the explanation of your injury so dramatic. Ominis had to use his hands to hug you instead of using his wand to find your presence. The poor boys were just so chaotic while you stood there like “😐”
Usually if you are relaxing. Those two always somehow find you. Even if you are far away. It’s mostly Sebastian dragging your dear friend Ominis along.
“Y/N! I have a favor to ask of you.” Sebastian says, having a mischievous smile. Ominis was clearly behind him. Wand in hand with a tired expression.
“Please tell him no….” Ominis says with a frown
It’s just some classic trio things. Some Slytherin things.
Holding hands with you is a mandatory thing in the friendship of these two. Can’t anything go wrong with a little hand holding.
The mother of the group, Ominis. The badass child, Sebastian. The middle child that has to always be there to make sure the badass child isn’t alone in trouble. You. It just works that way.
Ominis is fr a single mother who works two jobs. Keeping you safe, and making sure that Sebastian and you aren’t in TOO much trouble.
When laying down with the two Slytherin boys. Sebastian has his arm around you while Ominis has his head on your chest. Loving how the sound of your heartbeat sounds. It makes Ominis feel comforted knowing you are still here.
You three for real could relax on days like those. It feels refreshing.
