hello yes I have been playing Coromon and I love this snake
I want to cuddle Slitherpin and smooch his snoot
I wish there were more typings in the game so he could be cooler than just Normal type

Time for the second set; Coromon! This game is an indie game that’s currently out for PC and Switch. It’s an amazing alternative to Pokemon’s turn based game style with an immaculate pixel art style for the creatures. I 100% recommend trying the demo. This sampling is Bittybolt, Slitherpin, and Purrgy.

I finished it! I'm still figuring out how to post transparent images in Twitter since it's not keeping it transparent for some reason. With that said, Here's the finished version of Slitherpin!

Sorry if this is random since this has only really been on twitter, but I just wanted to say that I really appreciate you not supporting Palworld and calling them out for their ripoff designs (potentially AI generated?). It's really disappointing seeing so many people supporting it just to stick it to Pokemon (and I haven't been very happy with their latest games either, but that's no excuse). It sucks at all the attention this game is getting while much better indie monster taming games with original designs and concepts have been overlooked. I played the Nexomon games and Coromon this past year and really enjoyed them and have both Monster Sanctuary and Cassette Beasts on my to play list! I hope these games can get more attention! To be a little more on topic, I believe you've played Coromon, so could I request a potent color Slitherpin? Only if you want to though! Either way I hope you have a good rest of your day ^ ^
I feel you there anon. It's a shame what's going on. Hopefully it means people will look into other games in the genre! It reminds me I need to draw more Coromon, since I love a lot of the designs in the game. I have a few nexomon that I want to draw as well. I haven't checked out monster sanctuary yet, thank you for the recommendation.

Been a bit preoccupied about other stuff but here's a drawing of a slitherpin from coromon! I might turn it digital if I felt like it :3

Also (and I only noticed after beating the demo and revisiting everywhere), there’s a ton of custom difficulty settings you can do, in addition to the standard preset Easy/Normal/Easy Nuzlocke/Nuzlocke.
Under one set of settings, you can even give yourself the ability to capture other trainers’ Coromon
Plus, yeah, the game is absolutely gorgeous with a bunch of QoL changes, too, like:
tap your Coromon’s or the opposing Coromons’ name to see their type, type effectiveness, and battle stat changes
change your Coromon’s nickname whenever you goddamn please, no need to seek out a single random NPC in the middle of nowhere. My Slitherpin is now named Snek and there’s nothing you can do to stop me
change your Coromon’s moveset whenever you want
pokemon who faint in battle still get EXP
growing fruits doesn’t require you to occasionally return to water them, they just grow automatically as you play (I’m undecided on using step count rather than real time though)
abilities, items, or accessories that affect the overworld get a little icon in the corner you can tap to see what it does
Absolutely phenomenal.
UHM SO. There's this currently in development pokemon inspired mobile game called Coromon
And not only is it gorgeous
Not only it doesn't ask for gender, and let's you wear whatever you want.
Not only is - so far - the dialogue charming and nice
But there's a difficulty selection, which adds different layers to the experience.
AND THE HARDEST DIFFICULTLY IS LIKE, LITERALLY NUZLOCKE.
- coromon who faint leave
- you can only choose one coromon per area
And I think there was one more rule there but I can't recall. Still, this is just, amazing.
Anyway I'll keep on playing, you can try it too if you want, it's looking pretty good so far.
(also there's an Easy Mode, which like the rest is clearly explained and honestly seems like the ideal way to play a pokemon-style game, so you can choose it if you want.)
