More Slime Rancher Slugcats!

So! Slime rancher 2 updated and brought 3 more slimes into the game and finally allowed to me to finish my Slimeslug designs!

Similar to my Rivulet design, Survivor's and Watcher's largo is impossible in game. But I am not going to let the rules of this slime farming game keep me from making fitting designs lol.

I dont see enough about how pretty slime rancher 2 is, this is just one biome and as you can tell the aurora part is one of the most beautiful things to me but damnnn this stuff goes hard,,, i need the game to have a screenshot function which hides your goofy gun please

I need to yap about the update so bad

So. It's out. It felt like this day would never come. I just played through partially. Spoilers ahead, so be warned!

First of all: I love Gigi. I audibly squealed when I first saw her. I want to pinch her cheek, she gives me major cuts aggression. Although one thing I did notice: she has rainbow streaks on her arm, and she has a prosthetic right forearm and hand, which confirms that Prisma waves affect humans. I wonder if Beatrix will be affected after a while. I would imagine it would be like Subnautica's Kharaa, where the effects are purely visual and don't really change gameplay much.

Next: theories.

One theory I saw, courtesy of @23456df, was that it was based off of the H.P. Lovecraft's The Color Out of Space (read here: https://www.hplovecraft.com/writings/texts/fiction/cs.aspx). Gigi mentions that the prisma waves are coming from a crashed meteor, so that checks out, along with the plants turning colorful. Although, if this theory is true, that means that eventually, everything will start dying, but I don't think that will happen as that seems a little dark for a game like Slime Rancher. One of my personal theories is that the prisma waves may be the origin of the tarr. There are rainbow streaks on various places throughout the island, and it says in the slimepedia entry for the gray labyrinth that the prisma waves have mutative, transformative properties. I thought this theory was solid until I actually played the update, in which the chickens didn't turn rainbow and become aggressive, so I think my theory is debunked.

It seems like this update will not disappoint. I would be kind of upset if it just... abruptly ended, like in the original game with the Glass Desert. That doesn't seem like that will be the case, though, so I am hopeful.

i think legend would Love the saber slimes and all of them would absolutely adore the scenery there. ledge wouldn't like the cold too much since it makes his bones ache, so he and fig (who also has achy bones) like to hang out in the big cave with those giant heat flowers ! warms ya right up :) they love to sit as close to the petals as they dare and play with the slimes

wars Loves the aurora trees. he's fuckin obsessed w them and the aurora bridges, and he and lumen like to dart between islands and test how much weight they can hold (they have yet to break them)

briar loves the trees there and likes to collect sun sap and keep tarr away from the slimes while he strolls :] he also loves starting snowball fights w the slimes And the others. he thinks wars getting pelted w snowballs from eight different angles is hilarious

consider . wars and ledge lying underneath an aurora tree, looking up at the stars and watching how light from the "leaves" distorts the colors. legend draws in the snow and wars holds a perfect snowflake orb in his hands so legend can try to use it as a reference. they stay out there until the sun comes up and when the aurora bridges start flashing like they're about to disappear the calmness of the moment breaks and they giggle while scrambling over each other to make it to the bridges before they dissipate for the day . i lovethem so much
