Day 5 of posting Nevermore thoughts until S2 drops

I highkey miss the art style from the middle of the season. The bell lesson arc was hands-down, the most visually appealing part of the entire series to me. Particularly Lenore's design. Thick thighs save lives and all that, but I long for the days when she was but a skinny Victorian boy. Like, look at her

I've just realized i am accidentally but very happily falling into a chaotic academia aesthetic. On my desk:

A stack of books i'm reading, topped with my notebook and pencil

My tablet, which i use for hand-writing, drawing, and typing

My phone

My keyboard, which connects both to my tablet and my phone

An energy drink

A water bottle

Snack cookies

A lamp

All of this moves around as i work. My tablet is upright sometimes for typing, flat other times for hand-writing and drawing, with the keyboard pushed to the side. The desk itself is at a 45 degree angle to the rest of the room, so i can see and entertain the people here while also gazing out the window (which is open as often as i can get away with it), and has extra space to be used by guests if they need it. My six-string bass guitar sits behind me, in a room full of posters and notes on the walls.

This is unfinished, and a lot is still going to change. I just moved here with my boyfriend, so there are a lot of things we want to do still. But...wow. This is already looking amazing. I am so excited to become more myself!

Rad as fuck things I have seen/found today: a pronghorn deer went tearing across the field in front of me, been many a year since I've seen one of those around. And in two different places found a complete skeleton spine, one of which had both the skull, jaw and pelvis still attached. And last week I found a moose antler which I've been hoping to find for a long time

Oh and also the google maps camera car went by right as I was working next to the highway, so I might be on google some time soon

i don't think it's bad at all!! i actually really adore the colors, the blue + yellow is very nice! it has nice contrast! also, everyone has different taste in what kind of theme they like! i'm also a visual arts major + graphic design minor so i spend a lot of time learning how to make things look visually pleasing which does make a difference i think?

if you want to be very picky about your theme, which you don't have to be, i think that the only thing that i personally would change is the second picture you have in your pinned (if that's something you're counting as part of your theme) solely because it is so neutral and desaturated in color, so it doesn't blend in with the other images you're using (which are generally more warm in tone). you could either find a new picture with warmer tones or you could edit the photo by upping the "warmth" setting! this should be able to be done in your photos app, ik for sure it can on apple iphone, but it's a basic photo editing setting so it should in any built in photo editing on your phone! but that's all! i really like the dividers you chose and the overall vibe + again, i love the colors i think they're nice and unique!!

I had this one leftover orange image that didn’t really vibe with the rest of the set; the more oblique, hard-silhouetted lines were just more satisfying when shown alongside the rest of that mix — and this one is more unreal-feeling than the rest, as if cooked until slightly radioactive. another user pointed out in their tags that the prev set reminded them of Blur’s self titled record. I’m biased here, but I’m inclined to agree. album art warm af; also I’m a big fan of haunted organ music - and Blur never ceases to deliver in that regard, as long as you disregard their entire discography aside from the singular track above
