“I think we should end things here. It’s for the best.” Y/N says, reaching to gather the game pieces. She had just won her fifth round, and she could sense her boyfriend's frustration mounting with every loss.  

Jisung stares at her, eyes wide and mouth slightly agape, clearly taken aback by her suggestion to stop the game. He was hoping to keep playing until he could win at least one round.  

"Wait, why? We're just getting started!" He sulks, his voice a mix of disbelief and disappointment. 

Y/N pauses, her hand hovering over the game pieces. She glances across the coffee table at him, taking in the way his brows are furrowed and the way his lips are pouted slightly. 

"Jisung," she begins, her voice softening, "You were practically fuming over there a minute ago."  

He shakes his head, his expression one of determination. This is his girlfriend’s favourite game. He’s been learning to play it so it could be something they do together when she can’t meet up with her friends which had been often lately. "I’ve been learning how to play so you can still play it when you're not with your friend. I also took every free moment that I had to practice. I just need one more chance to show you that I can play this game!" A hint of desperation appeared in his eyes. 

Y/N can’t help but smile at his little confession. “But it’s your birthday. We should be doing something you want to do.” 

“I’m already doing what I want to do,” he assures her. “I spent the day with the boys and now I’m spending the rest of my birthday with the love of my life.” 

“Minho’s here?” she asks pretending to look for her boyfriend’s boyfriend. 

“Hahaha,” he laughs sarcastically.  

“I’m just kidding,” She chuckles and leans over and placing a soft peck to his lips. “But seriously, let’s do something you want to do.”  

"What I want to do is play one more round of this game," he insists. 

“One more round,” she concedes, holding her hand up with one finger raised. “But if you lose again, we are putting the game away and doing something else.”  

His face breaks into a wide grin, his disappointment melting away. He leans forward to reset the pieces on the board, his eyes sparkling with determination. “I’m so going to win this time. I can feel it!”  

As they begin a new round, Y/N can’t help but admire the way Jisung’s focuses, his brow furrowing in concentration as he bites his lip. She watches him, so much affection her heart swells. If she were an anime character, there would be love hearts drawn in her eyes, showing how much love she has for him. 

“You know, you’re really cute when you’re all serious like this,” she teases, her heart eyes now twinkling with mischief.  

He glances up at her, a soft blush creeping onto his cheeks. “Stop it! I’m just trying to concentrate here,” he retorts, but there's a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

UAC Labs ( uaclabs.wad ) 🧟‍♀️

A two level single player WAD for Doom II: Hell on Earth. The most well-known of the Harris levels, it has an E1-style techbase theme. The WAD includes extra graphics that slightly increase the gore for the monster death animations and a modified ENDOOM screen containing the names of other WADs made by Harris. In the second level, the player is confronted with an enormous arena filled with Demons. New sound effects are used when monsters are gibbed, when monsters teleport in, when the Mancubus is attacked, and when the Cyberdemon sees the player; the music track "At Doom's Gate" is used in the first level, while the music track "Hiding The Secrets" is used in the second level. Both levels contain bugs that, when played with some source ports, prevent the player from achieving 100% completion in all three categories shown on the stats screen. The first level has a sector tagged as a secret that the player cannot access in any way (even with the no clip cheat activated), while the second level's item count is listed as having ten items that count toward the total item percentage, though the player can only get nine of them. UAC Labs was released on September 2, 1996.

Deathmatching in bricks ! ( bricks.wad ) 🦇

A deathmatch level for Doom II: Hell on Earth, the name refers to the abundant use of brick textures. The level mainly consists of a number of high rise walkways which players must walk along. Dylan Klebold was credited for playtesting this level in the text file. It contains a new sky texture with a black background and white dots of varying sizes representing stars, as well as a new stats screen when the player beats the level showing a black background with red text displaying "PREPARE FOR YOUR NEXT FIGHT!!" and the text "BRICKS (KILL HIM!!)" as the map name on the stats screen. It contains new sound effects for the pistol, shotgun, chaingun, rocket launcher, and plasma gun. Deathmatching in bricks! was released on March 1, 1996 and took three days to create.

Mortal Kombat Doom ( fightme.wad ) 🧛🏻‍♀️

A deathmatch level for Doom II: Hell on Earth consisting of an arena containing four pillars on which the players start. Each player is given a berserk pack, the intention being that the players should fight each other using fists. It contains voice-overs from the Mortal Kombat games and a new music track. Mortal Kombat Doom was released on July 16, 1996 and took two hours to create.

The dubious nature of Iris' name (and what it means)

Sister Iris Fey Hawthorne of Hazakura Temple finds herself in a rather peculiar situation for the Ace Attorney franchise in the fact that she is one of very few characters without a canonical last name. Of course, this hasn't stopped fans from assigning her one—for the purposes of tagging and categorization (or simply to distinguish her from Iris Wilson from The Great Ace Attorney series, because "Iris Ace Attorney" is no longer specific enough), every Ace Attorney fan seems to have a different answer as to what they call her, whether it be Iris Hawthorne, Iris Fey, Iris of Hazakura Temple, or simply Sister Iris. This confusion is understandable given the lack of a clear answer in canon as to what her legal last name is as well as her unusual upbringing; what with being raised in Kurain Village as a Fey, taken away by her father as a Hawthorne, and then sent to Hazakura Temple to become a nun. However, before we delve further into Iris herself, there's something a bit unusual (that I don't often see acknowledged within the fandom) that I'd like to bring up—that being, that this name drama not only affects Iris, but her twin sister Dahlia as well.

Simply put, Dahlia Hawthorne being named Dahlia Hawthorne doesn't make much sense when you think about it. Dahlia was born to Morgan Fey, the then-leader of the matriarchal line of spirit mediums of the Kurain Channeling Tradition. As such, it's safe to assume that she and her twin sister were also given this name upon their birth—so why, then, does she have her father's (or possibly her stepmother's—it's unclear) last name when we meet her in-game? Children generally do not have their last names changed when their parent remarries, so what's the deal? This strange situation makes slightly more sense when you remember that much of Trials and Tribulations builds up to the reveal that Dahlia and Iris are Morgan Fey's daughters; as such, Dahlia appearing in Chapter 1 and introducing herself as "Dahlia Fey" would be a MASSIVE spoiler for the events to come.

As for an in-universe explanation, we obviously aren't given one, but we are given a bit of insight from Dahlia (while disguised as Iris) regarding their father's perspective on leaving Kurain Village:

"He hated the place. He said it was a hick dive, and that he had no reason to stay there."

I think it's not an unreasonable stretch to say that their father wanted nothing more to do with the Fey clan after its reputation had been destroyed post-DL-6, and likely went to great efforts to separate himself (and his daughters) from anything that reminded him of it. With this in mind, who's to say he didn't have the twins' name changed? Now, obviously whether this affected Iris herself is still up for debate—it's possible she had already been sent away to Hazakura before this had all happened. But given that Dahlia implies Iris had only been sent away after their father's second marriage, I find it more likely that her name was changed beforehand. That said, it's still just a headcanon based on my personal preferences—I like the idea of Iris having the last name "Hawthorne" because I think the association with the Hawthorne Effect (in which one modifies their behavior in response to being watched) fits her really well, but I don't disagree with those who choose to use other names for her because there are good arguments to be made there as well.

However. However. The intrigue behind Iris' name doesn't even end there. We hear from Sister Bikini very early in Bridge to the Turnabout that it's Hazakura Temple tradition for nuns to choose a "temple" name—meaning that even Iris' given name might not be her real one. I hesitate a bit on this idea considering her name already pairs up nicely with Dahlia’s due to the shared flower theming (and Iris having a lack of respect for acolyte tradition in that regard would give her an interesting resemblance to her mother which I REALLY like), but if it is true it creates another fascinating bit of symbolism—Iris’ first name is a lie. A facade. Which fits in with her lying about her identity to Phoenix for 8 months and her general tendency to put up a front of whoever the person she's talking to wants her to be—whether that be Dahlia's obedient co-conspirator, Bikini's sweet and good-natured daughter figure, or Godot's accomplice and the scapegoat he can use to protect Maya. And neither of the common last names given to her by fandom accurately reflect/show the full picture of who she is either. Fey is what she was born as—but that name comes with a whole host of burdens and generational trauma that she likely does her best to distance herself from considering her tendency to run away from conflict like she did with the fake kidnapping and the aftermath of Doug Swallow's murder (she’s a lot like her aunt in that regard). Hawthorne ties her to the sister she so dearly loves—but also weighs her down due to her sister’s crimes, her role in said crimes, and the family she was sent away from against her will (even if it ended up being better for her) before it tragically fell apart. Neither one truly fits—the Iris name debacle is a perfect representation of the identity crisis of her character and that is nothing short of beautiful to me.

You worried about Matt and Mello a lot. It was obvious to anyone that their habits were barely healthy and that they’d probably be dead already if someone hadn’t been there to help them. Matt was extremely cocky and laid back, which often led to mistakes, while Mello had a rather short temper and hated having people questioning him.

But right now, all you cared about was going to bed. You had been up for days having to plan with Matt and Mello and having to deal with everyone. At this point, you were sure you’d snap if something bad happened. Mello sat on the sofa to your left reading something while eating chocolate while Matt sat by your right playing one of his games and chewing on tobacco.

“I’m heading off to bed now.” You said while organizing the papers strewn over the table into a nice pile.

“Alright, goodnight Y/N,” Matt replied without looking up from his game. Mello just let out a hum of acknowledgment while he kept reading. You then left off to your room with your stuff.

Once in your room, you dropped everything on your table and changed into your sleepwear. You then lay in bed and drifted off to sleep.

During your sleep, you felt something nudging you and then laying next to you. You let out a quiet groan as you slowly opened your eyes. The first thing you saw was a head of brown hair. Once your brain woke up, you processed that Matt was laying on your bed and hugging your waist while his head lay on your chest. You let out a silent chuckle, to which Matt dug his head deeper into your chest. You ran your fingers through his head then laidlaid a kiss on the top of it.

A few minutes later, your door opened again and light edpoured through it. You slightly turned your head to see who it was and saw Mello out of his usual leather outfit and in a much more comfortable cotton shirt and sweatpants. He then walked up to you and Matt and sat on your bed.

“So he got here before me, huh.” He mumbled.

“Yeah, he’s been herehere for a while.” You replied, keeping your voice down so as to not wake Matt up.

“Lucky bastard, he got the best spot,” Mello grumbled to which you let a quiet giggle.

“Come and cuddle with us Mello,” You looked at him, “It’s weird without you.”

“Alright, alright, quit nagging me.” He replied. He then laid down behind you both and snuggled into your neck. You smiled at him, “I know you love us anyway.”

The Chromatic Legacy Challenge: 3 Year Anniversary Edition

I’ve been revisiting this challenge every year since it's creation (2020), and I'm back again with a slightly modified version of CLC. While playing some old challenges like Not So Berry, I realized that I have some ideas for a challenge myself. That's how I came to create The Chromatic Legacy Challenge, and I’m excited to share it with everyone! This is a VERY colorful challenge that's updated to March of 2023. This challenge is designed to get the very best out of the Sims 4, and I hope you like it! There are 15 generations with certain unique requirements to complete their generation! It's always interesting to see how long it takes you to complete all the generations. Tag me at or @maximum.sims to share your beautiful creations with me! -Like other colorful challenges, it is suggested that the hair, makeup, clothes, and house of your heirs ARE the color of the generation (which is listed in the rules of each generation).

Keigo couldn't recall the last time he had gone on a picnic. In fact, he didn't think that he had ever been to a picnic. He rubbed the back of his head in a nervous gesture as he looked at you.

“How do they work?”

“It's easy. All we do is pack food, find a place, and sit at it.” 

“Anything else?”

“Nope, not usually. If it's just the two of us, we could sit and enjoy the weather, talk, or play games.”

He nodded. He was slightly nervous about it. He wasn't sure why. Maybe it was the spring air. The spring did things to him.

He followed you into the kitchen, and he looked into the cabinets, looking for what he could contribute to the basket you had set on the counter. You began making sandwiches while he continued to look for things. He wasn't exactly sure what he was looking for, but he wanted to help out the best that he could.

“Could you grab the chips, please?” You asked him as he stayed by the cabinet. He looked at the chips, looking at the various ones that you had in storage. He didn't know what you wanted. He didn't want to mess up. He couldn't bring them all; that would be ridiculous. He looked at the ones that he might want. He grabbed your favorite ones and your second favorite ones. He took all three bags over to you, and you packed them away in the bag. It was that simple.

“Thank you, babe.” You said with a smile, and you kissed his cheek.

He smiled back. He would have breathed a sigh of relief, but he didn't want you to know that he was nervous. He smiled back.

“You're welcome.”

He realized that while you were packing away sandwiches, you hadn't packed away any drinks.

“Hey, should we pack cold drinks?” He asked as he moved to stand beside the fridge.

“We could, but I don't know if they would keep well, depending on how long we're out there.” You said as you took your stuff to the sink and began to wash the dirty dishes that you had.

Keigo nodded and grabbed a lunchbox. He put an icepack inside of it and grabbed some water, some soda, and some of the favorite drinks that you both liked. He zipped the lunchbox shut and handed it to you.

“It shouldn't get too hot like that.” He said, rubbing the back of his head.

“Thank you. That's a good idea.” You said with a smile.

“I think we got everything packed. Are you ready to head out?”

“Yes, where are we headed?”

“I think one of the parks nearby; that way we can look at the flowers and nature.”

“Alright.” He said with a smile as he looked at you. He suddenly remembered the basket and grabbed it before you had the chance to.

He carried it with him as he followed after you. You didn't have to worry about it weighing too much for him. He reassured you that it was fine; he didn't mind. He would rather carry it so that you didn't get hurt and wouldn't be tired. It was only a short walk before you both arrived at your destination. Keigo set the basket down and pulled out the blanket. He struggled at first to try to grab one side and lay it out. You grabbed the other side and helped him.

Once the blanket was laid out, the basket was set in the middle, and you picked one side and Keigo picked the other. The basket sat in between you both. You pulled out two sandwiches and handed one to him. He took it and began eating it.

“This is good; thank you.”

“You're welcome.”

Years ago he’d learned to mask his handwriting, so now he could easily forge any handwriting he wanted, if he was given a good example of it being used. There was something extremely interesting in how each person connected two letters to each other. How they wrote an “ar” was different from how they would write an “or”, how much the words were apart from each other and how much pressure they put in the paper told a lot about someone, to him it was like zodiac signs. He didn’t always have to copy other handwritings, not unless he wanted to throw the blame on that person. He just had to invent a brand new writing style, and be careful to not slip his between the cracks. And that’s exctly what he did in the letter. Before Jesper could finish his monologue about how much he had missed out in the past few months holed up in his office, a blackmail threat was ready to be closed inside the paper envelope, just the signature was missing, but he didn’t bother to add it. A proper threat always had to be anonymous, it was always better to give as little information you could. Everything could be used against you. The maroon wax sealed the opening with a satisfying fizzling and a single wisp of smoke. The clock chimed on the wall, it was already 6 pm, he had to go finish some assignments.

shes a 17 y/o girl who lives in a bunker in a forest, on the run from the government as she's a "high traitor and liar who must be destroyed".

she has the ability to modify her face and appereance for a while and she has a prosthetic arm connected to her virtual friend Indigo.

thanks to it she's able to teleport and keep track of various things.

alexander: the son of the dictator, he's lived his life in a bubble until 2 years ago, when he finally managed to get more social contacts with people and (slightly) catch up on what he's missed, behind his father's back of course.

he meets anne when she's captured and figures she's his best shot at escaping his father domain.

This time, she materialised in the shadows behind a bulding, which gave her enough cove for her to shift her facial features. Her nose a little bigger, her hair some shades brighter, her eyes more elongated and greener than the grass growing outside her doorstep and a splash of freckles to top it all off. It was way harder to do it without a mirror, and way more dangerous. For all she knew, she could’ve been looking like a girl with a fish head, and she didn’t know if that would be better or worse than looking like herself. Anne took out a hat and a silk scarf, she wrapped it around her neck and jumped in a group of tourists gazing at the city. In no time she was in the square, vendor’s stands circling her, colourful flags waving in the wind. She could’ve stayed like that for ever, stuck in the memories of her old life, but she knew it couldn’t last forever.

A chill runs down Felix’s spine as he hears a whisper that sounds right by his ear. He pauses the game he’s playing with Jeongin, causing the younger man to groan and drop his controller on the couch in annoyance. He was just about to beat Felix at Mario Kart for the 1000th time.   

“Did you hear that?” Felix asks his friend as he looks around the room for someone else. He knows that it’s just him and Jeongin in their dorm. Minho is out visiting his family and cats and Seungmin is out filming a vlog with Changbin and Hyunjin.   

Jeongin, slightly annoyed and thinking Felix is trying to distract him from winning this race, replies, “I didn’t hear anything.” He un-pauses the game only for Felix to pause it again causing Jeongin to become even more frustrated with his Hyung. “What the hell, Hyung?”  

“We’re still the only one’s here, right?” he asks making sure no one had come back when he went to use the bathroom or when he went into his room to grab something.  

Jeongin nods his head and stands up before disappearing into his bedroom. He comes back out a minute later holding his shoulder bag. “I need to go grab a few things. Do you need anything?”  

“I’m good,” Felix shakes his head, exiting the game before switching it off.   

After Jeongin leaves the apartment, Felix questions if he should have gone with him as an unsettling feeling falls over the apartment.   

“Ghosts aren’t real,” his voice comes out soft as he tries to convince himself that the spectral beings don’t exist. His mind travels back to all the times someone has told them about their experiences with the paranormal.   

The sound of something clattering on the floor causes him to jump and spin around, searching for what could have made the noise. He finds a metal chopstick laying on the kitchen floor. Confused and frightened, he picks it up, cleans it off and places it where they keep the chopsticks.   

“Ghosts are still not real,” he tries to convince himself again and looks for ways the chopstick could have moved from the sink to the floor.   

“-very real,” he hears a whisper. It was so quiet that if there was any other sound, he wouldn’t have heard it.  

“No, you’re not,” he finds himself arguing with the faint voice. “You’re not real because ghosts don’t exist.”  

Rushing into his room, he turns on his computer, grabs his headset and puts it on as he sits in his desk chair. As he’s about to load up his game, the computer switches off and reboots. The words ‘I am real.’ come across the black screen. Terrified he throws his headset off and hurries out of the room. He’s about to leave the apartment when Seungmin and Hyunjin make their way through the front door, causing him to scream in fright.  

“Are you okay?” Hyunjin asks coming across his terrified friend, who is on the verge of tears.   

“I think we need a new dorm,” he tells them, calming down and feeling a little better that he isn’t alone anymore. “I think this one is haunted.”  

“I thought you don’t believe in ghosts?” Seungmin says as he moves into the kitchen to get himself a drink.  

“I don’t want to,” he groans. “But too much weird shit goes on here. Things are moved, doors open and close and now I’m hearing voices. Maybe I’m going crazy.”  

“Or you’ve finally met Y/N,” Hyunjin says like it’s no big deal. As someone who’s had sleep paralysis, he’s seen some weird shit and wasn’t all too surprised when he found out that the dorm the youngest three occupy with Minho is haunted.   

Felix’s fear turns into confusion, “Y/N?”  

“She’s your ghost,” he explains. “I’ve seen her a few times. She’s around our age and seems nice. But I think she’s a little lonely. It would be quite lonely being a ghost. No one can see, hear or touch you.”  

Both Felix and Seungmin look at him stunned.   

“Have you talked to her?” Seungmin asks, not sure if he should believe it himself.  

“No, but I see her out the corner of my eye sometimes,” he says and turns to Felix. “If you’re noticing everything than maybe you should talk to her. Has she tried to reach out?”  

“Something weird just happened with my computer and I know there’s no fault anywhere in it. I built it myself,” he admits. “What should I do?”  

“Get a Ouija board,” Hyunjin suggests.  

“I’m not getting one of those,” Felix shakes his head. “I’ll just download one of those apps.”  

Later that night, Felix is in his bedroom, earphones in his ears as the static from the ghost talking app plays in his ears. All afternoon he’s been debating with himself whether he should do it or not. But his curiosity won out over his fear, and he downloaded the app he’s now bravely using. He wanted to know what was causing all the strange occurrences that’s been happening in the dorm and if any of what Hyunjin said is true.  

“I don’t know why I’m doing this,” he sighs out loud.   

“For me,” a faint woman’s voice cut through the static, surprising the blonde.  

“Y/N?” he asks, his voice shaky and heart pounding against his chest. He looks around his bedroom trying to find any hint of another person being there. There’s nothing and no-one.   

The same voice cuts through the static again. “Yes.”  

He pulls his earphones out of his ears not quite believing what he’s hearing. He takes a minute to settle his racing heart and his mind before he puts the earphones back into his ears. The static fills his head again.  

“Is your name really Y/N?” he asks wanting confirmation.  

“L/N... Y/N...”  

“Hyunjin’s right about you,” he says more to himself.  

“Yes... Hyunjin... good.”   

“He’s going to lose his mind when I tell him about this,” after he says that he hears a giggle come through. He can’t help the smile that makes its way on to his lips. She has pretty laugh. “What happened to you?”  

“I... died,” he hears.  

“Obviously. How did you die?” he asks.  

“...Exhausted...”  

“Were you young?”  

“21.”  

“Way too young,” he suddenly feels sad. He’s only a few years older than she was. He feels like he still has so much to do and couldn’t imagine what it would be like having your life cut short before you can even live it fully. It makes him realize how truly blessed he is to be alive and living his dreams and reaching accomplishment after accomplishment. “I’m sorry you never got the chance to live a full life.”  

“Me... too...” her voice comes through again. “But... I lived... good... life... in years... had.”  

Feeling more at ease than earlier, he settles on his bed and spends the rest of the night talking to Y/N as if they were two new friends getting to know each other.  

Y/N told him all about her life when she was alive, her baby brother who she often goes and watches over, that Seungmin’s bedroom use to be her bedroom, but she always liked Felix’s the best because of the view and the way the sunlight and the moonlight would shine through the windows. He told her he doesn’t mind sharing the room with her and told her about how he’s living his dream with his seven best friends, how he gets to travel abroad, and do everything that he does. He even told her about his family and Australia.  

Eventually, he falls asleep with the static from the app still playing in his ears and making a mental note to talk to Hyunjin, telling him everything he learned about Y/N.

*bangs head on desk* Minecraft fishing/ocean update/mod concept again like what I did here but more in-depth (pun not intended) because I got up at like 3am and it's like 4 when I'm writing this title thing and I have nothing to do for several hours.

Anyone who makes "lol Mojang are too lazy to implement this stuff" comments will be thrown into The Machine™ for a week and forced to watch a video about the reality of multiplatform game development. Also like this is a pure hypothetical and more of a "what I would do if I still made Minecraft mods and could do something this ambitious.

The basics:

Cooked fish are now called Smoked [type of fish].

Some fish species can only be caught based on what biome you're in.

There are new aquatic mobs that can't be caught, but some can drop items that can be eaten. This includes Squid, which have a chance of dropping Squid Rings or a Raw Tentacle.

The ocean is now stratified, and also a lot deeper than it already is. It's separated into the Surface (basically just how Minecraft's oceans currently are, complete with more biome diversity), Abyss (much darker and filled with bioluminescent mobs, as well as only containing one biome), and the Darkest Depths (rarely generates and is extremely deep; contains a new boss and lots of hostile aquatic mobs).

Iron now rusts (over four stages, similar to Copper oxidising but a lot slower) if submerged for long periods of time; Rusted Iron is easier to break, but otherwise the same. Iron Golems can also rust, which makes them slower, weaker and less durable. Rust can be removed by using a Brush.

There is now a designated "ocean" village type, which uses wooden walkways (similar to how regular villages look when they generate on water), and has buildings made out of modified boats. The Villager textures look somewhat piratey, with eyepatches and stripey bandannas and stuff. There are also aquatic Illagers that use a more cetacean-like Ravager variety, live in towers that are connected to the seafloor by an underwater mountain. Also there's a new Illager variety, the Drillager (which wears a bulky diving suit with a giant drill attached, which it uses to break through blocks and to charge at its targets yes, this is a Bioshock reference).

Fishing has been slightly overhauled; while you still just stick your rod in the water and wait, there's now a Fishing Table that can be used to change what bait you're using, which increase the chances of finding rarer biome-restricted fish (more on that further down), as well as a "salvage hook" item that vastly decreases the chance of catching a fish, but increases the chance of finding treasure like Saddles, Name Tags and Nautilus Shells.

There are now Diving Helmets, which offer almost no protection (being a glass bubble-helmet) and require 8 Glass Panes to craft, but allow the wearer to stay underwater forever. If they're crafted with Stained Glass, then the player's view will be tinted the appropriate colour.

More in-depth stuff:

Sharks exist now; they're based specifically on the mostly-harmless Nurse Shark, and - being based on an endangered species - drop no items on death. They also attack small fish mobs.

Underground lakes now contain Cavefish (not based on any specific species), which are blind and swim away from (most) noises, effectively working like a sneaky "tutorial" for the Deep Dark's mechanics.

The Darkest Depths contain the ruins of an unknown civilisation, and are protected by the Ancient Guardian, based on the boss of the same name from Minecraft Dungeons (but without the shard in the top of its head). Also a variant of the Biomine spawns near Ocean Monuments.

Skeleton Sharks spawn in all ocean biomes at night; they're hostile, and move relatively fast. When on land, they don't drown, but being undead mobs they do eventually burn in sunlight. They can also spawn being ridden by baby Drowned.

There are three new types of Coral: Elegance, which is cyan and glows; Pillar, which is green and has Log/Pillar/Basalt-style rotation; and Maze, which is orange and can form Chorus Plant-like "trees" that are topped with blocks of other Coral varieties.

Biome-specific mobs (note that there would probably be more but these are just the ones I could come up with)

Icy biomes contain Seals (neutral to players, but hostile to fish; drop nothing on death have a unique baby design), Snailfish (basic ambient fish), and a new mob called the Iceshell (hostile; a creature resembling a giant Portugese Man O' War, with the "sail" being a giant chunk of ice, and the tendrils replaced by several dangling crustacean-like limbs).

Swamps contain Piranhas (hostile to any mob with 25% health or less remaining) and Electric Eels (electrify the water in a 3x3 area around them when attacked).

Beaches contain Giant Crabs (passive; can be tamed with Seagrass or raw fish, and ridden as a semiaquatic mount yes this is a Bionicle reference; their colours vary depending on the specific Beach subtype, with regular Beaches having red crabs, Stony Shores having blue, and Snowy Beaches having white).

Warm Oceans contain Frogfish (passive; come in eight colours that match up with the five vanilla Coral varieties and the new ones. They don't swim, instead walking on the seafloor; when standing on the Coral variety that corresponds with their texture, they turn invisible), Sea Slugs (passive; inflict Poison on contact) and Eels (neutral; spawn at night and attack smaller fish).

In the Nether, there are now Firefish (passive; instead of being cooked, the player has to right click on a water-filled cauldron while holding one in order to make it safe to eat), Basalt Floats (passive, but dangerous; function like floating platforms the player can stand on to get across lava, but can descend unexpectedly), and Magmateeth (hostile; giant lava-sharks that can set the player on fire just by biting them).

Abyss mobs include Anglerfish (passive), Octopi (neutral; much larger than Squid), Glowmouths (hostile; pale, shark-like creatures with no eyes and glowing mouths), Comb Jellies (passive; deal damage on contact) and Giant Isopods (passive; run away from the player).

There is probably more I could write but I have very few ideas.
