EVENT 001 { December 16th - December 31st } THE HOLIDAY MARKETS

Over the last week, residents of Sleepy Hollow will have noticed that decorations have gone up all over the town and our players will notice changes to our main! Storefronts are decked out with garlands, twinkling lights all strung up, and in the center of town is a giant Christmas tree, immaculately decorated. And that’s not all!  To make the first holiday season truly special now that the town is open, The Mayor has been working with shop owners and other residents to deck out Town Square and turn it into a true winter wonderland.

Our first event!

New residents will join Sleepy Hollow in their decades-long tradition of watching the Mayor light the 40 foot Christmas tree that sits in the middle of town square to kick off the event! From there, residents may begin the festivities!

Here’s what will be around town:

Dozens of little pop-up shops to buy decorations and gifts

Stalls for food and drinks (Shop and restaurant owners may have their own stalls but please let the admins know first!)

Game booths for all ages with prizes

Travelling carolers to bring the Christmas cheer every night

Photo ops set up around town square (Don’t forget to have your picture taken in front of the tree!)

And since December is also Yuletide, is it the perfect time for witches to recharge crystals and enchant elixirs. The Apothecary will also have their own little booth selling vials of moon water as well as a variety of crystals.

Don’t forget to dress warmly! The Sprite Hive always ensures there’s snow in Sleepy Hollow at the beginning of the Holiday celebrations. Plenty of shops will also sell cute scarves and cozy sweaters, and heaters will be scattered throughout the market for anyone new to the winter cold.

Lastly, the event will last through New Years Eve! So be sure to make it to the center of town for the countdown and to watch the fireworks at midnight!

the sprites in town made sure keep a light flurry of snow continuously coming down over the markets by creating a snow cloud over the town

the tree lighting is an annual event so past residents will know to expect it. the markets is something brand new to celebrate the town’s opening
