Happy #internationaldragday !!! I usually don’t post my drag king stuff on this account but since it’s a special day I figured why not? So, back in April at @disasterina ‘s suggestion, I actually auditioned for @bouletbrothersdragula season 4 (as Sleazy Manzini of course). I got rejected but still had a blast creating the different looks and performances. This one is my glamour look and my favorite of all the looks I did (I actually created 6). I call this look the unholy swordsman and it’s inspired by the red armor from Bram Stoker’s Dracula. I even created an animatronic bejeweled beating heart for it! Here’s a post to celebrate the existence of John LaZar! In Sado Psychiatrist’s grand finale, Episode 6: Beyond the Beyond, I plays Tricksy the dumb blonde who hallucinates seeing two swordsman in battle on her forearm. These dandy swordsman are played by the drag kings @sleazymanzini (Me) and @skirtcocaine (our beloved director Jackie Deleon). When legendary actor, John LaZar was confirmed to play himself in this episode, this special sword fighting scene was added to the script as an homage to him in Deathstalker II. In this 1987 fantasy adventure movie John LaZar plays an evil sword fighting sorcerer and being a martial artist and master swordsman, he choreographed all the sword fighting scenes as well! I studied these scenes and couldn’t wait to show off some badass moves when it was time to rehearse. Unfortunately, there was not enough green screen to do any elaborate choreography.
